Lost Girl Recap S1E2: Where There’s A Will, There’s A Fae
Kenzi and Bo are falling into the domestic thing, when Kenzi
establishes a firm rule, no killing where they shop.
And then the problem of the week is shown. Hiker in the
woods, flashes of green fire, but he’s determined and looking for something.
And then he hits the mother lode, a chest of gemstones.
Kenzi looks to fill their crack house with nice furniture,
but Bo says no stealing to the little pick pocket before a fiery visitor pops
in. Putting out a couple of green flames, he finally introduces himself, a chunky
Will-o-the-wisp, he’s the one that lost his booty. Kenzi perks up when he
begins to talk about his treasure, and Will tells them about the human hunter.
In exchange for Bo’s help, he’ll tell her about her family, if she has a
birthmark on her foot, which she does. This information entices Bo enough to
take the job.
Detective Creeper listens to Crazy Breath recount his latest
lady encounter with a Gemini, as he tries to convince him to join next time
with her twin, Creeper finds Bo waiting on his desk. He immediately jumps to
the wrong conclusion, she wants him to run prints off a gun. He tries to warn
her off the fae world, and when she goes to leave, he reluctantly helps. The
Queen Bee is the Morrigan, and he finally agrees that Bo is dangerous, but he
obviously likes her.
And Creeper takes Bo to a fae Bar. Creeper’s name is finally
revealed, I swear I’ve been paying attention, but it’s Dyson, and the bar keep
is Trick. Trick tells her a little about the fae as he has her sign in. She tells
him the little bit that she knows about the fae, and he fills in a few of the
gaps. Trick puts doubts in Bo’s mind about finding her parents, maybe they hid
her to protect her. Dyson gives her the information on the gun, and tells her
to be careful who she trusts. Trick has an idea who Bo is.
Kenzi and Bo head over to the hunter’s house, who may be a
tad paranoid, if the shotgun door rig is any indication. Inside they find the
hunter’s research materials, and a pawn shop that he might have visited, but
before they can make a clean getaway his trailerpark neighbor holds them at gunpoint.
Bo is forced to use her wiles on her, Kenzi steps in to stop her from killing
the neighbor, and gets choked for her cock blocking. They leave the neighbor
alive. Bo sends Kenzi home to give Will an update while Bo goes jewelry shopping.
Bo attempts undercover, but it’s not really her thing, so
she takes a more direct approach using force instead of wiles this time. She
makes the man sing like a canary, and gets an address.
Crazy Breath uses his soothing voice, to smooth over all the
ruffles Bo’s been making, and Dyson gives her the benefit of the doubt when Miss
Trailer-park ends up a grinning corpse.
Bo and Kenzi go to the motel, and Bo thinks to talk to the
hunter, Connell, alone. Posing as a maid she gains access to his room, but he’s
been expecting her and he has the hardware to prove it. Seems the hunter has
Daddy issues. He’s a half-breed, and therefore powerless. His mom was seduced
by Will one night, he was her savior, and she never saw him after that one night.
It was never about the treasure, but Connell needed a way to talk to Will. But
their little pow wow is soon interrupted by a guy who can remove his head, neat
trick, but how the hell can the guy see to fight? Bo takes the guy out with a
mop.
Another body, means its time to find Dyson. She finds him at
the bar, and claims Kenzi to the fae again. He’s less than pleased about the
bodies stacking up, but this one is Dullahan, a headless horseman, a mercenary of
the fae. Dyson is concerned for Bo, and she asks him for Lauren’s number,
though he seems willing to help her in other ways. Kenzi finds gems in the Dullahan’s
pockets.
Will is busy putting out his own fires, when Kenzi and Bo
step in. He claims to not know about the Dullahan, more worried about Connell.
Bo tells him he’s a daddy, and his whole attitude and outlook changes about
Connell. Bo goes to take care of something before meeting up with Connell,
while Kenzi is on babysitting duty.
Bo goes to visit Dr.
Lauren, who is reluctant to help because of the consequences for her. But she
does, and she gives her an injection that was made for an incubus to curb Bo’s
hungers. I don’t know what it is about the good doctor, but something about her
gets under my skin, and not in a good way. I know Bo and Lauren will be paired
eventually, but I just don’t like her.
Bo meets up with Connell at the storage and he’s a little
bit in disbelief that he’s finally going to meet his father. Bo makes the call,
and Connell locks her in with the gem. Was it me, or did anyone else but Bo see
the double cross coming? He’s a bitter man, of course he wasn’t going to be
satisfied with just meeting his father, he wants to make him pay. Kenzi and
Will walk into the trap, and Will tries to explain why he didn’t stay with
Connell’s mother. A Dullahan shows up ruining the un-happy reunion. Will hired
them before he knew who Connell was. Kenzi frees Bo, and she fights the
Dullahan. Kenzi burns the head, killing the Dullahan. Bo finally gets her
story, and its not much. A midwife runs through the woods scared for her little
charge, and that’s it. Will flashes out with Connell and his loot. And Bo asks
for Dyson, she’s injured and needs to heal.
Dyson’s lightning kisses and hot body heal Bo up nice and
right.
