Game of Thrones release official season 2 art

Game of Thrones has already released a couple of teaser trailers for the new season, and now they've released the official season 2 poster. Anyone else excited for the war that's coming?

The new season of Game of Thrones starts April 1, 2012.

The second season of Game of Thrones follows George R. R. Martin's A Clash of Kings, which is the second book in the A Song of Ice and Fire.

The book's description from Wikipedia is as followed: A Clash of Kings picks up where A Game of Thrones ended. The Seven Kingdoms of Westeros are plagued by civil war, while the Night's Watch mounts a reconnaissance force north of the Wall to investigate the mysterious people, known as wildlings, who live there. Meanwhile, in the distant east, Daenerys Targaryen continues her quest to return to and conquer the Seven Kingdoms. All signs are foreshadowing the terrible disaster that is to come.

The new season starts April 1, 2012

More New Photos from Snow White and the Huntsman

A few behind the scene pictures from the upcoming Snow White and the Huntsman,  and some more stills.

In the epic action-adventure Snow White and the Huntsman, Kristen Stewart (Twilight) plays the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) out to destroy her.  But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth, Thor) dispatched to kill her.  Sam Claflin (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White’s beauty and power.

The breathtaking new vision of the legendary tale is from Joe Roth, the producer of Alice in Wonderland, producer Sam Mercer (The Sixth Sense) and acclaimed commercial director and state-of-the-art visualist Rupert Sanders.

Final John Carter Trailer

John Carter opens in theaters on March 9th and we've got the final trailer for you. In it, we get a chance to see Carter (Taylor Kitsch) fighting for peace on Mars. That's right John Carter, of Earth, must save Mars, to save Earth. I'm sure it'll all make sense eventually.

And if you’re loving the trailers for this you may want to check out the book it’s based on  "A Princess of Mars," by  Edgar Rice Burroughs.

It’s a little Star Wars, a little Avatar, and a whole lot of crazy.  I was a little wary when I saw the first trailer, but special effects are fantastic, and I’m prepared to be wowed when this finally hits theaters. I think the White Ape scene kinda sold me. What I can say, I love a little gladiator action, and Kitsch’s hot body didn’t hurt either.

About THE HUNGER GAMES

Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games.  A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains.
Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy.  If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

THE HUNGER GAMES is directed by Gary Ross, and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel, the first in a trilogy published by Scholastic that has over 26 million copies in print in the United States alone, has developed a massive global following.

Lionsgate will release THE HUNGER GAMES on March 23, 2012.

Official BERNIE Trailer With Jack Black, Matthew McConaughey and Shirley MacLaine Now Available!‏

Synopsis:
In the tiny, rural town of Carthage, TX, assistant funeral director Bernie Tiede was one of the town’s most beloved residents.  He taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Everyone loved and appreciated Bernie, so it came as no surprise when he befriended Marjorie Nugent, an affluent widow who was as well known for her sour attitude as her fortune. Bernie frequently traveled with Marjorie and even managed her banking affairs. Marjorie quickly became fully dependant on Bernie and his generosity and Bernie struggled to meet her increasing demands. Bernie continued to handle her affairs, and the townspeople went months without seeing Marjorie. The people of Carthage were shocked when it was reported that Marjorie Nugent had been dead for some time, and Bernie Tiede was being charged with the murder.

In this dark comedy, director Richard Linklater captures all the hilarity, friendliness, eccentricity and absolute strangeness of small-town Texas life.  Jack Black plays Bernie Tiede, Shirley MacLaine plays Mrs. Nugent, and Matthew McConaughey plays the town’s blustery real-life District Attorney, Danny Buck Davidson, who was determined to get to the bottom of the crime.  Co-written by Linklater and Skip Hollandsworth, BERNIE is a Mandalay Vision and Wind Dancer Films production.

BERNIE will play at the SXSW Film festival on Wednesday March 14th
Millennium Entertainment will release BERNIE on April 27th, 2012.

Saturn Award Nominations

The Saturn Award Nominations are here. There are some surprises for me, but not disappointing like the Oscars.
Three much deserved noms missing from the Oscars that get there due here: Kirsten Dunst, best actress, Melancholia; Andy Serkis, best supporting actor, Rise of the Planet of the Apes (should've been best actor). Elle Fanning, best young atress, Super 8. These three performances were incredible and, to me, standout above most others. I was truly impressed with Fanning & remember sitting in the theater thinking "She is one hell of an actress & will be Oscar worthy one day." Surprisingly absent is True Blood, with only 1 nom for best syndicated/cable television series.
I placed my picks in Bold. Some catagories have 2 picks where I can't decide which is best yet. Other catagories, have no pick because I can't really pick one I feel deserves it. I'm sure Jessica Lange will beat out Kyra Sedgewick, but Kyra has been amazing the entire series and is kicking butt this season. It seems odd to me that The Thing (horrible) is in the same competition as Contagion. The Thing isn't even close to the same calliber. Just my opinions. Let me read your opinions below.

Below is the Saturn Awards Press release:
Hugo and Harry Potter Cast Their Spells and Lead Film Nominations for 38th Saturn Awards

Breaking Bad and American Horror Story Scare Up Most TV Nominations in Banner Year for Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror; Winners to be Announced June 20

LOS ANGELES – February 29, 2012 – Hugo and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 each received 10 nominations as the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films today announced nominations for the 38th Annual Saturn Awards, which will be presented on Wednesday, June 20.

Other leading titles in the Academy’s film categories were Super 8 (eight nominations); Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger (seven); and The Adventures of Tintin and Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (six each). Rise of the Planet of the Apes breathed new life into a classic sci-fi franchise with five nominations, including a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Andy Serkis.

In TV categories, AMC’s Breaking Bad cooked up six nominations, while F/X’s first foray into a genre series, American Horror Story, scored five nominations. TV series with four nominations each are: Fringe (Fox), Dexter (Showtime), Leverage (TNT), Game of Thrones (HBO), The Killing (AMC) and Torchwood: Miracle Day (Starz). Once Upon a Time (ABC), TNT’s The Closer and Falling Skies, and The Walking Dead (AMC) each earned two nominations.

In addition to the competitive Saturn Awards, the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films announced that filmmaker Martin Scorsese will receive its prestigious special award, The George Pal Memorial Award, for his brilliant ode to the triumphant spirit of early cinema in Hugo.

“This was a phenomenal year for genre films and TV series, which broadened the horizons of storytelling and technology, bringing audiences new ways to dream,” said Academy President Robert Holguin. “Every one of the nominated films, TV series and individuals made a major contribution to science fiction, fantasy and horror – and Martin Scorsese truly exemplified what is best about films and filmmaking. We are thrilled to honor him with the George Pal Memorial Award.”

Among film studios, Paramount Pictures led the Saturn Award nominations, with 46. This year’s nominations included strong showings from Warner Bros. (13 nominations), Sony Pictures Classics (11, including Take Shelter, The Skin I Live In and Midnight in Paris). Twentieth Century Fox earned nine Saturn Award nominations, Universal Pictures received seven, and both Magnolia Pictures and Walt Disney Studios received five nominations. Lionsgate and Relativity Media each scored four nominations.

The organization’s qualifying period for the 38th annual Saturn Awards was Feb. 1, 2011, to Jan. 31, 2012.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Academy, which was founded in 1972 by noted film historian Dr. Donald A. Reed to honor and recognize genre entertainment, which is frequently overlooked by mainstream entertainment-industry awards.

Over the years, the Academy has expanded its reach to include other genres, including recognizing excellence in television and home entertainment.

This year’s Saturn Awards will be presented at a special ceremony on Wednesday, June 20, in Burbank. For complete nomination details as well as more information about the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films and the Saturn Awards, please visit www.saturnawards.org for a complete list of nominations.

New Trailer for The Avengers

It appears the Avengers won't be 100% action scenes. Thank you Joss Whedon. The films building up to The Avengers laid the foundation for each character on their own. Now we get to see how they interact with each other and egos seem to flair. Seeing how these superheroes play with each other may be better than the big fight scenes. Nah, what am I saying? May, you can not come soon enough.
The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Cobie Smulders, Stellan Skarsgård, and Samuel L. Jackson. The Avengers, written & directed by Joss Whedon, opens in 3D on May 4th.

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures “Marvel’s The Avengers”–the Super Hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, and directed by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble in summer 2012. In “Marvel’s The Avengers,” superheroes team up to pull the world back from the brink of disaster when an unexpected enemy threatens global security.

Prometheus: an Alien Connection?

For months, rumors have been flying. Scenes from Prometheus look eerily similar to Alien. The Director, Ridley Scott, has been elusive along with the crew and cast. Is it a sequel or a prequel? Does it have anything to do with Alien or just familiar movie sets from the same mind?

Finally, a Viral marketing campaign reveals a connection between Prometheus and Alien. The TED 2023 Blog reports:

Peter Weyland has been a magnet for controversy since he announced his intent to build the first convincingly humanoid robotic system by the end of the decade.

Whether challenging the ethical boundaries of medicine with nanotechnology or going toe to toe with the Vatican itself on the issue of gene-therapy sterilization, Sir Peter prides himself on his motto, “If we can, we must.” After a three year media blackout, Weyland has finally emerged to reveal where he’s heading next. Wherever that may be, we will most certainly want to follow.

Sir Peter Weyland was born in Mumbai, India at the turn of the Millennium. The progeny of two brilliant parents; His mother, an Oxford Educated Professor of Comparative Mythology, his father, a self-taught software Engineer, it was clear from an early age that Sir Peter’s capabilities would only be eclipsed by his ambition to realize them. By the age of fourteen, he had already registered a dozen patents in a wide range of fields from biotech to robotics, but it would be his dynamic break-throughs in generating synthetic atmosphere above the polar ice cap that gained him worldwide recognition and spawned an empire.

In less than a decade, Weyland Corporation became a worldwide leader in emerging technologies and launched the first privatized industrial mission to leave the planet Earth. “There are other worlds than this one,” Sir Peter boldly declared, “And if there is no air to breathe, we will simply have to make it.”

Conceived and designed by Ridley Scott and Damon Lindelof and directed by Luke Scott.
Guy Pierce as Peter Weyland.

Still Not Convinced? Anyone familiar with The Alien movies will link the Weyland-Yutani corporation, as the company that the Nostromo worked for in Alien.

New TV clip from Pixar's Brave

Pixar has released another TV clip for their upcoming movie Brave.

Set in the Highlands of Scotland, Brave tells the story of the headstrong Princess Merida (voiced by Kelly Macdonald) who rejects her traditional role (marriage, baking, wee'uns) in favour of a more perilous route (adventure, battle, bears). In the process she upsets parents King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson), and more dangerously, the domineering Lords of the land: MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), MacIntosh (Craig Ferguson) and Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane).

The clip isn't nearly as exciting as the one scene released a couple of days ago, which you can find here, or the previous trailer but the music is beautiful and surely just a taste of what we'll hear come June 22, 2012.

New Game of Thrones Art #1

HBO is starting to unveil its marketing art for season 2 of Game of Thrones. The network is rolling out a series of “fan ads” representing each of the major houses during the “War of Five Kings” — the name given to chaotic scrambling for power in the wake of King Robert Baratheon’s death. Here’s the first, featuring the sigil of House Stark. Is that a direwolf pelt?

The new season starts April 1, 2012

Lost Girl Recap S1E7: ArachnoFaebia

Kenzi flirts with the hot pizza guy, Bo comes in all succubi and uses her powers on the pizza guy to send him on his way. Kenzi and Bo have their first sisterly fight, and Kenzi gets to cleaning, since she's been a bit of a slob, and that messy streak has attracted rats to their sweet little crack shack.

This week’s creeper feature: a paranoid old lady with a rolling pin get shanked by her sister wielding a pair of knitting needles, and a giant spider climbs on the skein.

Kenzi prepares for a job, shes doing a gypsy cleansing in the old lady home, and she's at her kooky best.

Hale and Dyson look into the old lady murder suicide, when they spot Bo’s car. Kenzi puts on one heck of a show, and a spider crawls into Kenzi’s bag. Dyson asks for Bo’s help, and Hale gets a cut of Kenzi’s scam.

At the Dal, Dyson and Bo talk shop, he’s not completely sure its dark fae or otherwise, but he has to keep that option open. Dr. Lauren comes to break up the pow wow, and becomes an awkward wheel. Hale and Kenzi watch the awkward display, and discuss their roles as sidekicks. Kenzi gets bitten by something, Hale assumes its her lethal arsenal and nothing more. Lauren and Dyson’s banter becomes combative, and Lauren takes her leave.

Kenzi becomes outraged by the laundry throwing it, and she’s a little more snarky when they talk about Bo’s love life than usual. I know its the spider bite talking, but this girl needs some serious loving. Bo is attacked by the spider in the shower. While eating her cereal Kenzi gets a little heebie jeebie, hearing things, and Bo tells to clean up again. Bo’s agitation is high, and Kenzi actually suggests she visit Lauren.

Bo visits Lauren, but she’s on edge. Kenzi comes in with some complaints of her own, and Bo hallucinates Kenzi and Lauren making sexy time. The bickering continues, and both girls leave.

Dyson pieces the strings of a group of homicides together, including the elderly ladies. Everyone is connected, both vics and perps. Bo comes with her information, and Bo is acting all twitchy. She asks Dyson to run a background check on Kenzi, which raises red flags for him since she's always implicitly trusted the little thief. And she’s starting to hallucinate again, this time hearing Dyson suggest she kill Kenzi.

The evidence is full of cob webs, seems all of houses have been. The evidence goes to the fae labs. Lauren doesn’t know what it is, but since she has Dyson already, its physical time. She digs into his file, and she tries to pump him for a little more info than she really wants to hear.

Kenzi is paranoid, she’s spotted the giant spider. Bo is itchy, and a little unbelieving, and suspicious of Kenzi.

Lauren calls Dyson with her monster update, a Djieiene. It’s an underfae, causes hallucinations, paranoia, aggression, and homicidal rage. The Djieiene then feeds psychically. When she tells him the symptoms he immediately knows Bo is infected and runs off. At Lauren’s lab she puts out an alert. Stupid doctor, anyone else see how bad this is going to be? I really dislike her.

Kenzi and Bo continue their spider hunt. They make a run for it but there’s no escape. They hallucinate they’re trapped even though the door is wide open. Kenzi immediately freaks out, and although Bo tries to reason with Kenzi, Kenzi is now hallucinating that the TV is telling her to kill Bo. Hale comes in to check on the girls, and when Hale mentions the spider Bo knocks him out. They think he’s in on it. The girls pick at each other, and Bo finally realizes that she’s sick. She suggests she feed, and Kenzi doesn’t want to be dinner, which only leaves an unconscious Hale. She feeds, now all healed up, she tries to go get help, Bo finds she’s quarantine, all thanks to Lauren.

Serena is the Ash's head of security, and she gives Dyson two hours before she goes ahead with her full cleansing plans. Bo calls Dyson, she tells him she was tripping but she used Hale to heal. Hale sees the spider, but he’s not in a position to fend off the Djieiene’s attack. Dyson heads to Trick for help, and finds Lauren there. They aren’t sure how to help, but they plan to work together to save Bo.

Bo goes hunting, and chops the spider in two. It weaves itself back together. Trick finds that the spider buries its heart, and you have to destroy the heart otherwise the spider is invincible. Trick recognizes one of names Bo gave Dyson, and gives him an address. Lauren accompanies Dyson on his search.

Kenzi unties Hale, thinking him to be an ally, but he’s just as infected as she is, and therefore unstable. Hale uses his Siren powers on Kenzi and she does her best to resist. Dyson and Lauren hall Gordon in. He’s waiting for his baby to finish, seems the Djieiene doesn’t bury its heart, it implants it. The second heart beats inside of Gordon, and they look to remove it.

Hale closes in on Kenzi, trying to use his power to make her head explode and Bo comes to her rescue. But Kenzi is still homicidal and pulls a gun on Bo.

Dyson calls for more time, but Serena’s not willing to give him anymore. Then her hands go all flamey. Time is running out and Lauren plays with the heart, before finally stabbing it. Kenzi comes back to herself immediately, and just in the nick of time. Lauren calls off the cleansing just in time.

Bo thanks Lauren for her help, and offers to buy her a drink. Hale apologizes to Kenzi about trying to make her head pop like a balloon. Dyson and Lauren draw their lines in the sand, and he makes it clear the doctor is not only inconsistent but also untrustworthy. I completely agree and it has nothing to do with being Team Dyson.

Kenzi and Bo make up, and clean up. Dyson plays pizza delivery boy, and perks Kenzi up. Dyson tells Bo of his worries where Lauren is concerned, and Bo thinks its all about her. She thinks that Lauren cares where Dyson doesn’t, but she’s so wrong. Dyson is forced to make a hard decision and cut ties, Bo doesn’t want to understand his motives.

True Blood Show Runner, Alan Ball, Stepping Down

True Blood’s fifth season is still months away from premiere, and now there’s confirmation that change is indeed in the air. EW has confirmed the rumors that have been swirling around that series creator Alan Ball will be stepping down as show runner if the show returns for a sixth season.

Just last July Ball was singing a different tune at True Blood's panel at the Television Critics Association press tour. "There will be an end for me at some point, but I just closed a deal to do another season," he told reporters. "I don't have any desire to leave because I'm having more fun than I ever had in my life."

My how things change in just a few months. The Network released a statement saying “When we extended our multi-year overall deal with Alan Ball in July 2011, we always intended that if we proceeded to True Blood’s sixth season that Alan would take a supervisory role on the series and not be the day-to-day showrunner.  If we proceed to season six, the show will remain in the very capable hands of the talented team of writers and producers who have been with the show for a number of years.  This is the best possible world for both HBO and Alan Ball.  Alan will remain available as executive producer to consult and advise on True Blood and he will be free to develop new shows for both HBO and Cinemax. Banshee, on which Alan serves as executive producer, is the first in house series for Cinemax and is expected to begin production this spring.”

But Ball had a little different tune, “True Blood has been, and will continue to be, a highlight of not only my career but my life.  Because of the fantastic cast, writers, producers and crew, with whom I have been lucky enough to work these past five years, I know I could step back and the show will continue to thrive as I look forward to new and exciting ventures.”

The fantastically addicting series is based on Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse books which Ball adapted into the television series in September 2008. So dry your tears trubies, its not the end of True Blood just the end of Ball’s run, which for some isn’t a bad thing. As long as I keep getting some Eric and Alcide on my screen I’ll remain a happy girl.

Game of Thrones New Trailer

If you don't have HBOGo, don't fret. I've tracked down the trailer here.

Dark Horse's Free Comic Book Day Offering To Include Kiernan's Alabaster!‏

DARK HORSE’S FREE COMIC BOOK DAY OFFERINGS TO INCLUDE A SPECIAL FOUR-PAGE STORY FROM CAITLÍN R. KIERNAN AND STEVE LIEBER’S ALABASTER

FEBRUARY 27, MILWAUKIE, OR—One of Dark Horse’s most-anticipated new series premiered in the company’s flagship anthology last week in Dark Horse Presents#9.

Dark Horse celebrates this event with additional news today that Caitlín R. Kiernan’s highly anticipated new series will now be included in both of Dark Horse’s Free Comic Book Day books, with two pages in each book, to expose this exciting new series to as wide an audience as possible!

Alabaster is based on Caitlín R. Kiernan’s fan-favorite Dancy Flammarion stories, a dark fantasy series centered around a teenage protagonist of striking appearance and hidden, terrible depths. For nearly as long as she can remember, seventeen-year-old Dancy Flammarion has fought monsters, cutting a bloody swath through the demons and dark things of the world, aimed like a weapon by a merciless seraph more taskmaster than guardian.

This special four-page story, told across Dark Horse’s two FCBD offerings, will give readers a compelling glimpse into Dancy’s world and the blurry line that separates her from the angels she serves—and the monsters she hunts.

Look for Alabaster: Shelter in the back of both Dark Horse’s Star Wars/Serenity and Buffy/The Guild Free Comic Book Day comics on Saturday, May 5. Remember, you have to pick up both to read the whole story!

Pick up a copy of Dark Horse Presents #9 at your local comic shop for a special sneak peek at the highly anticipated series Alabaster: Wolves!

 Praise for Caitlín R. Kiernan
“One of our essential writers of dark fiction . . . a cartographer of lost worlds.”—New York Times

Praise for Steve Lieber
“Lieber’s art is stunningly refined . . . This is how a comic book should look.”—Comic Book Resources

Walking Dead Recap S2E10: 18 Miles Out

Shane runs from zombies. Rick narrowly escapes a few more. Randall edges towards a knife. Looks like the guys are back at the school, and it’s just as unpleasant. The one thing I don’t understand is why don’t they clear places out of zombies. Seriously. Kill them once, be done with it. Rather than hiding inside of a school bus ala Shane, why not sit on top and start stabbing them with a good sturdy stick?

And we go back before the high school. Shane and Rick park at a cross road, Rick wants a little chat. Shane tells him they don’t need to, but Rick isn’t talking about Randall. He wants to talk about Otis. He’s still giving Shane the benefit of the doubt, desperately wanting to think the best of him. Rick tells Shane he isn’t the good guy anymore, and that Shane isn’t going to be dangerous anymore. Rick is a good guy, he’s thoughtful, he makes it clear that he will keep his family, and that Shane does not Lori. Rick tries to make Shane come to an understanding, but he’s not quite ready for that, still trying to justify all of his actions. The guys check on Randall, whose been riding in his truck, poor boy is likely going to be deaf when he gets out with how loud they have the music.

Maggie and Lori talk about Glen, and Lori tries to ease her mind.

Rick and Shane continue on their trip, and talk strategy. Rick hopes the cold slows the walkers, but Shane is only kind of listening to him, as he watches a zombie in a field.

Beth is up, and she asks Lori how she can be pregnant. Lori tries to not let the girl get to her, as she delivers her a meal.

Rick looks for a good place to release their prisioner. And they end up not at the high school, but at an abandoned city works building. They plan to get some supplies and leave the boy. They see a single zombie and Rick lures him in, before shanking him with his knife. The place seems mostly quiet, deserted, but we know sooner or later that will no longer be the case, as the guys pass the school bus we saw at the beginning. Shane check out the bus, and finds no signs of life, or unlife.

Shane looks over the bodies of the two walkers they killed, but he doesn’t see the usual bites, or really any signs of how they were infected, but there are tell-tell signs that there were walkers, and they assume most of the scratches and infection sites are hidden beneath clothes. Dun dun dun, this is going to get crazy.

Beth hasn’t touched her plate when Lori returns, she’s just crying, and Lori offers her comfort. Beth is feeling hopeless, and Lori’s kind words give her come hope, or so she thinks. Lori takes away her meal, when she realizes that Beth stole a knife. Lori quickly takes the knife from her.

Rick and Shane release their captive. Randall makes his case, pleads with them not to leave him behind. He reveals that he went to school with Maggie, and so they can’t let the kid go. Even if he isn’t like the guys he was with, he knows too much. They need to either accept him or kill him. Shane fires off a shot at Randall, but Rick saves him at the last second. Rick decides they need to think about what to do with Randall, and Shane questions Ricks judgment yet again.  The two get into a little scuffle, and Randall inches towards Rick’s knife. Neither are pulling the punches, and although Shane looks like he’s doing a little better, Rick isn’t out. Shane’s upper hand isn’t kept for long, and before Shane can do anymore damage, a real threat appears, and we’re back to the beginning of the episode. As walkers come pouring out of the building that Shane broke the window of. Rick covers himself with the zombie he just killed, and Shane makes a run for it.

Maggie has a little talk with Beth about her new suicidal tendency. If she kills herself, it doesn't just affect her, but the people she loves will feel the pain long after she's gone.

Randal tries to cut his bond as he’s spotted by a walker. He manages to free himself before demolishing her.

Beth wails and fights with Maggie, and Lori and Andrea can only sit and wait. Andrea tells Lori it was wrong of her to take the knife from Beth, that it wasn’t her decision. Andrea tells her that she needs to find her own way. Lori tells her that she was showing her that she cares, but Andrea says that there are only so many options in front of the girl and if she wants to kill herself no one should stop her. What she needs to do is stop projecting. Beth needs help, and true she needs a reason to live, but enabling her to take her life while she’s overcome with grief is not the answer. And Lori finally says what no one else has, that although Andrea thinks she’s helping by being one of the boys she isn’t one, and she hasn’t been any help. Andrea tells Lori how self centered she is, and what her rant really comes down to is Andrea’s petty jealousy about Shane. Give me a freaking break. There’s plenty to not love about Lori, but I am so tired of Andrea’s constant pity party.

Rick scrambles, looking for a weapon, and he finds one just as one zombie closes in on him, but that zombie brought friends, and the bodies pile upon Rick’s chest. Thankfully, the zombies are the brightest bunch, they may eat brains, but they don’t got them, and Rick is able to take care of his attackers. Piled three deep, he finds a knife, and pushes himself free.

Maggie tries talking to Beth, since the yelling didn’t work. Beth has plenty of reasons to leave, but all she can focus on is all that has been loss. Beth tells Maggie that they should do it together, that they should do it while they have a choice, rather than when everything is destroyed.

Shane makes it to the bus, as the zombies to get at him. He uses the fresh blood trick Rick showed him, and kills one.

Andrea comes to relieve Maggie on Beth watch. May day, may day this is a bad idea. I don’t trust Andrea as far as I can throw her, and I surely couldn’t lift the girl. But Maggie, lets her talk her into talking a walk and getting fresh air. Andrea sits with Beth, and she waits for her to yell, to say something. Andrea tells her that “the pain doesn’t go away, you just make room for it,” and then she leaves her.

Rick intercepts Randall as he tries to make an escape. Randall tries to talk Rick into leaving Shane, and he does, as Shane watches still trapped inside the bus. I just don’t think Rick left him, that’s so unlike Rick, and if he did, he better make sure that Shane is indeed dead.

Maggie comes back to find Beth’s door locked, and there’s crying. Lori and Maggie pry the door open, and find Beth with her wrist cut. Beth is crying over her wrists, and seems for the minute remorseful.
Rick leads Randall back to the guards they killed at the beginning, and arms up. See I knew he wasn’t leaving Shane behind. Rick is good, and that’s what going to get him killed eventually, he has too much honor.
Shane continues to kill the zombies one by one, which is great plan, until he loses his knife. Rick and Randall drive in guns blazing and save Shane. Shane doesn’t look nearly as thankful as he should, and I’m sure he’s going to spin this whole thing to make Rick out to be the bad guy.

Andrea thinks that she did the girl some good, but Maggie makes it clear that she is no longer welcome in the house. Lori sort of sides with Andrea, but she doesn’t try too hard to change Maggie’s mind.

Rick sticks Randall back in the trunk, and he and Shane are left with the decision of whether or not to kill Randall again. And Rick plans on making that decision after he’s had time to think about it. Once again Rick makes it clear to Shane that if he plans on staying he needs to understand his place, and Shane’s place is not that of the Alpha. Shane has a big decision to make, one that there will be no going back on this time. It’s all or nothing, and as much as I love and loathe Shane at times, I’m afraid he’s not going to be able to live by Rick’s rules. But knowing Shane, he’ll go out with a bang, and cause some carnage on the way.
