Abraham Lincoln is full Vampire Hunting Mode.

EW has the pictures from the upcoming Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I, for one, cannot wait. Not only do we get to see our 16th president kick some major butt, none of the vampires seem to sparkle (sorry Kellan, but its true).

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is set to hit theaters June 22, 2012. And trust me when I say that these vampires aren't going to be the hot, sensitive type, that eat poor bambi instead of the young supple human flesh it really desires.

“It’s not a sermon in any way, but it is interesting to look at vampires as the all-encompassing, unspeakable, unknowable evil,” says Benjamin Walker, who stars as the bearded slayer-in-chief. “This evil moves among us, and maybe lives next door. It’s an ideology that we don’t fully understand, but they live by it.”

The movie is based on the best-selling historical/horror mash-up by Seth Grahame-Smith and directed by Timur Bekmambetov, who directed the fast paced Angelina Jolie movie Wanted. So while there will be humor, and well vampires, there will also be real events. The vampire story is interwoven into the history we already know.

And as if that wasn't enough to intrigue you, the cast is phenomenal. Two words: Alan Tudyk, yep I'll be there.
