Last time we headed into Strain territory, there was a plane
of mostly dead, with no explanation, and something not on the cargo
manifestation. We know something is about to wipe out the human race, something
no one will be able to stop, but exactly what it is, is still unknown.
The item in the cargo hold seems to be a coffin of compost,
that holds plenty of secrets, and the bodies from the plane aren’t decomposing.
Ephraim’s gut feeling is right one the money, gloom and doom are surely on the
horizon, their only hope may lie in the three plane survivors. The human race
is truly doomed if these guys hold our keys to survival.
As the solar eclipse takes center stage, something else is
unleashed. Maybe more of the same, but definitely nothing good even if it
brings out lots of furry purries.
The revelations of the autopsies are nothing comforting. And
re-inventing the wheel cannot come fast enough. Abraham comes face to face with
Ephraim, but it may already be too late, much too late.
Chuck Hogan and Guillermo Del Toro have crafted an
absolutely intriguing and chilling story, but Mike Huddleston goes above and
beyond with the art. This is one of the creepiest comics I’ve read. Congrats
for delivering plenty of scares and high tension. If you’re a horror fan you
should be reading this one, its one of the best out there, and it’s only in its
second issue.
