Lost Girl Recap S4E11: End Of A Line

Prepare the Kleenex. An episode called End of A Line just doesn’t sit well with me.

Kenzi tries to distract herself with some zombie movies or Jerry Macguire. Tamsin wonders if that’s it with Bo and the Wanderer, but Kenzi isn’t sure. She’s been by Bobo’s side for four years, and now finds herself all Tiny Tim on the outside looking in. Bo overhears her, and tries to reassure her that she’s not brainwashed, that things were never perfect with either Dyson or Lauren. It’s a whole messed up history. She tells Kenzi that with Rayner there is something more, they have more in common, but Kenzi is still her better half, she completes her. Tamsin spills that Hale may have asked Kenzi to move in, and she’s worried that Kenzi is leaving her. Kenzi sends her off for snacks, and someone stumbles in. One of Kenzi’s movies just may have come to life. She tries to skewer it with her sword, but it doesn’t work. Someone (Linda Hamilton) comes and does some slicing and dicing for her.  Tamsin grabs their visitor, she was suppose to be dead. She lost her hand because Tamsin didn’t deliver Rayner to him fast enough. Acacia is hunting Revenants, saving Bo wasn’t intentional. Tamsin searches the Revenant, and finds the Wanderer’s card in his pocket. Bo tells them that he went to the battlefield to pay homage to the dead she says, but Tamsin wonders if he isn’t there to raise the dead. Bo is certain that Rayner is a good guy, but Tamsin points out that Rayner is missing from the history books. Bo reluctantly goes to the battlefield to see which of them is right, leaving Kenzi to clean up the body.

Vex comes to visit Trick. Trick laments that he really hasn’t done his job past or present well. Vex knows the stories, but Trick tells him that history is written by the victors, his written literally with his blood. There is real evil in the world, the Garuda was evil, the Parapus. Vex thinks he has a better chance of meeting Godzilla than the Parapus. Vex tells him that his family may still be around if he hadn’t betrayed them. Trick tells him that his father was a brave general, a hero. But to Vex he was anything but doting, and hardly knew him at all. Trick offers to let Vex know his father better.

Kenzi expects Hale at the door, but finds Dmitri instead, and he’s not alone. Dear old mom is with him.

Bo, Tamsin and Acacia head to a place where the cults of the dead hang out. These would the guys to go to to find a Revenant. Acacia thinks that it means Rayner is guilty. Bo prepares to meet it with her blade, but Dyson arrives, and takes care of it with his bare sexy hands.

Dmitri continues to size up Kenzi’s stuff, while momma is busy cooking something. The cousins bicker, and Hale arrives. She tries to get rid of him, but Hale invited them, and Kenzi is less than happy about it.

Tamsin has some uncomfortable history with  Harvey, she hunted down his mother and delivered his head. Bo thanks Dyson for coming, who came because Tamsin called. Tamsin takes Dyson off to talk with some others while Bo and Acacia talk with Harvey. Neither woman likes the other very much, and Bo warns her that if she comes on the wrong side of Tamsin again, she’ll make her pay for it. But Acacia maintains that she only came down on the Wanderer’s side because she had no choice. Harvey still has some aggression towards Tamsin, but he’s willing to let her make it up to her in a dirty way. Acacia asks him roughly who the head belongs to, but he tells her he doesn’t know. Bo sucubuses him to get the information, and he becomes a more willing subject. He drinks some of the blood of the head, like it’s a fine wine. It’s the only way to find out who owns the Revenant. He tells her that the dead belongs to Acacia. She killed the guy, but didn’t raise him. The two grapple a little, and Harvey gets the little cat fight on film.

Tamsin asks how Dyson how he’s holding up, and he says never better, but she doesn’t believe him. A crazy guy over hears them talking thinking that they’re talking to him. He babbles on about a trio of sisters, two who died and one who survived because she could raise the dead, and she took his love from him. He babbles that she is dead and alive, and there were three and there is one.

Tamsin finds Acacia and Bo still fighting, while Harvey records it. Bo smashes Harvey’s camera, and goes to check out Tamsin and Dyson’s lead.

Kenzi’s mother comes to find out why she’s mad at her. She offers Kenzi a pair of earrings that she loved. Her mother’s boyfriend ruined her life, and her mother had a drinking problem. She makes excuses, but Kenzi was a little girl forced to live on the streets because her mother chose her boyfriend. Kenzi was put into some horrible situations because of it, situations she’s surprised she survived. Her mother tells her that she kicked the man out six months ago, but didn’t know how to get in touch with Kenzi until Hale called. She had to come and see her little girl. She tells Kenzi she has the strength of her father, and Kenzi embraces her. She’d been worried about her, and Kenzi reassures her that she did the right thing. Her mother wants to celebrate, and urges her daughter to wear something other than black.

Acacia tries to make sense of the Wanderer’s getting off the train and playing house. Tamsin admits that Rayner doesn’t remember anything after he got off the train, when she killed Rayner she didn’t deliver his soul to Valhalla, but to Trick. It was Tamsin’s fault that he was on the train, she helped make him the Wanderer. Acacia thinks that they should take out Rayner before he remembers her, and what she did. Rayner’s Revenants are after Tamsin.

Bo and the group head to Laveau’s, the voodoo priestess. Laveau offers up her gifts, everyone knows of Bo who took out the council of hate. She knows a lot about Bo and even Dyson. Bo asks who sent the head in the bag, and Laveau says that she will wake all the dead, and makes Acacia’s blade take over her. Tamsin holds Acacia. Laveau was behind this mess, she wants the seed and she thinks Bo has it. Dyson knocks her out.

Hale commends Kenzi’s mother, Galina on the fine meal, being one of the best. Galina tells him of course it is because Kenzi helped. Galina brings up marriage, and things get a little tense. Galina prepares her smart phone, and Hale takes Kenzi by surprise when he drops onto one knee. He knew she was the one from the beginning. No one makes him laugh like she does, makes him want to be a better man, or does the opposite of what he tells her to. He asks her to marry him, and before she can reply, Dmitri’s phone ruins the mood. The caller is asking about money, and Hale says its her father. Looks like Galina slightly stretched the truth. Kenzi throws her mother out, and Hale’s proposal was ruined.

Dyson and Bo take Laveau to Harvey for answers, but turns out the two Necromancers were working together against them, and now more Revenants come crashing in. Dyson lets his wolfy side come and play, and Harvey and Laveau threaten either she hands over the Unamense seed or dies. Bo assumes that Laveau is the head Revenant, and beheads Laveau, but its not like a vampire flick, they don’t all fall dead. Bo drinks the blood from Laveau’s head before handing it to the mournful Harvey. She orders the Revenants to be at peace, and they fall down.

Galina begs Kenzi not to throw her from her life, but Kenzi tells her that she cannot forgive all the things that he did to her. Her mother tells her that he wouldn’t have done anything had she not been so defiant, and raises her hand to strike her. Kenzi catches the hand. She always thought her mother was a victim, but now she sees the truth. She’s just a coward who doesn’t value herself, and cannot value her own children. She says goodbye to her. Dmitri gives Kenzi a word of advice before leaving, that Hale is good, not to call it off.

Dyson takes a much needed shot, and Bo asks if he wants to talk about it. Bo wants the truth, and Dyson admits that atleast with Lauren he knew she cared, but he cannot say the same for the Wanderer. He may be with her to just get revenge. Dyson admits that he will always be there for Bo, but if Rayner turns out to be the bad guy, he won’t be able to help her with that. Bo doesn’t believe his words, she and Dyson have always been more than lovers, but he’s unsure what they are now. Destiny isn’t something she understands, and doesn’t expect him to. He points out that Rayner kidnapped her, but she says it wasn’t like that. She can’t explain it to him. She says she would have stood by him too when she was…in love hangs between them. She believes she loves Rayner, and that she cannot chose her path. Dyson knows differently.

Trick and Vex enjoy each other’s company as Trick tells Vex tales of his father. Trick’s books move on their own. Rayner is being written back into history, literally. Vex goes to leave, and Trick brings up the sixth Unamense seed. He tells him that it is missing, that someone stole it from him. Vex thinks he’s being accused, and Trick tells him that it’s not too late if he did, that he sees good in him, and he can stop more suffering. Vex doesn’t see the good in himself, and turns and runs.

Acacia tells Tamsin that it was good seeing her, but Tamsin knows that this little visit was planned. Acacia used the Wanderer tarot card to get her involved. Acacia doesn’t deny it. She has a grudge against the Wanderer, he took her hand. Tamsin assures her that if the Wanderer is who she thinks he is, she will be the first to take him out, and that she’ll do it right this time. Acacia tells her to keep her wits about her that Massimo is up to something big, looks like the druid isn’t as dead as they all thought.

Tamsin comes home, and Bo tells her that she has questions for Rayner, but she can’t ignore how she feels. Rayner gets written back into history, and when Tamsin looks at the hottie, Bo points out that its Rayner. It’s not the Rayner that Tamsin remembers, it isn’t her boss.

Hall looks at his engagement ring, as Kenzi ribs him. Hale apologizes. He’s clearly distraught, but Kenzi thinks that they should slow down. She tells him that they have all the time in the world, and she doens;t want to be her mother. She doesn’t want to rush into anything. Hale asks if she’s letting him down easy. She’s certainly not letting go of him, he’s the best thing in her life and she seals her promise with a kiss.

Bo ponders Rayner, and Kenzi is gushing with good news. She accepted the ring, but hasn’t said yes yet. She’s considering it yet. Bo heads out for snacks and candy.

Dyson continues to drown his sorrows. Tamsin asks if he remembers the first day that they met. Tamsin crawls into his lap, and he tells her he can’t think straight at the moment. Tamsin kisses him, and tries to get him to stop thinking.

Kenzi looks for some grub going over options, when Massimo looking a little worse for the wear grabs her. She calls for help, and Massimo manhandles her, blaming her and Bo for his burned appearance. Kenzi tries to grab for her sword, but Massimo gets it away from her. He taunts her to sparkle at him. Hale rushes in, grabs the druid by the throat, and fairly mops the floor with him. Kenzi watches as Hale Sirens him, but something is wrong. Blood comes out of Hale’s ears. Massimo drives a sword through Hale, and he falls into Kenzi’s arms. Massimo holds the immortality twig from the clan Zamora. He got the twig because Kenzi gave it to him. He calls the debt paid in full. Hale tells Kenzi that he loves her with his dying breath, and Kenzi is all alone. Bo finds Kenzi lying atop a dead Hale. Kenzi tells her that Massimo killed him, and its all her fault. She tells Bo she gave Massimo the twig for her power. She asks Bo to do the chi thing and give it back, like she did with Dyson. Bo tells her that there isn’t enough chi to do it. Bo refuses, to afraid that she will lose Kenzi too. Kenzi doesn’t care if she dies in Hale’s place. Bo tells her that she will always choose Kenzi. But Kenzi is inconsolable; she was going to say yes. Bo is forced to succubus Kenzi to calm her while her heart breaks, while both their hearts break.

Anyone have a tissue? It’s only going to get worse from here, stock up now.

Lost Girl Recap S4E8: Groundhog Fae

Lost Girl opens like a cheesy Carl’s Jr. Commercial with Bo giving a car a thourough scrub down. Lauren can’t take her eyes off the succubus even as her ice cream melts, not even Dyson can interrupt Bo’s vision. Dyson wonders if they can help, but they’re in quite the trance. Hale snaps them out of it, and a customer takes a piece of candy. Everyone feels good about tonight. Bo pays for gas, and grabs a sweet from the counter while the boys gush over Krampus. Dyson warns Bo that stealing Krampus candies could land her on the naughty list. Bo hands over her keys, and Lauren steals the back seat. The customer is fed to the engine of his car, and the mechanics watch as Bo and company drive away.

Trick reads Kenzi some creepy Krampus tales. It’s a summer Christmas, and Kenzi wants to make it look like winter Christmas. Dyson and Lauren are suddenly bossom buddies, and Kenzi lays one on Hale. Lauren breaks up the kissing, and Kenzi lays down the rules of the night to make Bo feel all the better.

Bo meanwhile is conked out in the car, they left her during her little siesta. She comes in to find a party in full swing. She doesn’t know some of the party guests in her house. Bruce chases away Choka, who’s dying for a lickdown. Dyson and Lauren debate whether or not to give Bo a package addressed to her, when she walks in on them. Vex is all dressed up in her corset, but his entrance gives them a distraction. Bo sets out to find Kenzi, who’s making time with Hale. Her Kenzi senses are tingling, but she ignores it. Bo finds Kenzi’s door locked, and complains to the old man that no one has noticed her missing, that Kenzi hasn’t checked on her, and that Dyson and Lauren are suddenly the wonder twins. He tries to cheer her up, but it doesn’t work. Tamsin arrives, and apologizes to Bo planting a kiss on her. She tells her it doesn’t matter, that she won’t remember any of it in two seconds. The lights go out, and a beachball crashes into the glasses, Oppa!

Bo wakes back up in the car. It all starts over, the party, Choka, everything. She thinks Choka slipped her something, but he tells her he’d remember her. Bruce saves the day, Bo heads to the bar. Weird guy watches from the wallpaper. Tamsin comes in, and she’s surprised that Bo remembers her kissing her before. Bo asks Tamsin how long she’s been doing groundhog Day, but the thought never crossed Tamsin’s mind, and she’s only done this about a 100 times. Tamsin grabs a random guy and tells him, but he laughs about it. She tells her that no matter who she tells she gets the same reaction, until she kissed Bo. She and Bo kiss again, but nothing happens. Tamsin ponders that perhaps they have to kiss someone with a connection to pull their memory out of the loop. Bo is still all hurt about the wonder twins, and Kenzi and Hale, but there’s no time for that. The lights go out, and a beachball crashes into the glasses, Oppa!

Bo wakes back up in the car, and she breaks up the kissing couple in the hallway, telling the girl that the guy is getting a rash everywhere. Choka arrives, and Bo looks for Bruce to rescue her, but he’s not there, so she slugs Choka. Bo wants to call time out on everything. Bo plans to get her Yule on. She arms wrestles the Sasquatch, Tamsin chugs down a mini keg as everyone chugs around her, Bo plants a couple of huge kisses on Tamsin.

Lauren and Dyson try to decide whether to tell Bo about the box. They lay out the pros and cons. Lauren wants to proceed with caution. The two try to one up each other, Lauren saying that she knows Bo better, and Dyson pointing out that he not only sacrificed his love to save her, but also never spybanged her he has learned that Bo can handle herself, and to never get in the way of her destiny. Vex tells the two to present their case to him, and he’ll decide. Vex is kind of Bo’s pet, so it may just be crazy enough to work.

Bo wakes back up in the car, and this time she has a little sit down with Tamsin. Kenzi took her leaving pretty hard, I mean she did kind of raise her. Tamsin needed time to find herself. The wall grabs a guy as Tamsin opens up that she needs to talk to Bo about something, but it’ll have to wait with the latest development. Oppa!

Bo wakes back up in the car, she warns Choka to stay away from the walls. Tamsin tells her that the afro cutie is still missing, and Bo tries to figure out more differences. She remembers that Bruce didn’t save her the last few times from Choka, he’s been missing. Bo tells Tamsin to tell her everything she did before coming to the party. Tamsin did nothing out of the ordinary, except maybe the gas station. Normally in the case of an unknown Bo turns to Trick, and the two go off  to look for the Rudolph clad blood king.

Dyson and Lauren talk over Bo still. Dyson  brings up his almighty wolf chi power up, claiming that without it Bo would not be here, and therefore he should be the one to decide whether or not to give Bo the box. Lauren objects. Vex awards a point for his arguments, but takes one away for not noticing his “jumblies” in the bra. Ha! Vex is always entertaining. Lauren tells Dyson how when she first met Bo she was a killer, and that she was the one that curbed her hunger. Maybe Lauren doesn’t really remember how things went down, she wasn’t exactly the one who tamed the beast as she lied and cheated to gain her confidence. Lauren said that she loves Bo also, so they should throw the box into the fire. Dyson points out that Bo got kidnapped by some smoke, and sent herself a package. They both admit to not knowing anything. They’re in the same boat, where Bo is concerned. Dyson and Lauren hug it out, and Vex throws peanuts. He wants to know what he gets for the little kumbaya moment. Lauren is going to reattach his hand, Dyson offers to play drunken nurse.

Bo and Tamsin find a drunken Trick in the tub. He doesn’t remember anything except helping Kenzi decorate and then Oppa! She tells him that they’re stuck in a time loop, and that people keep disappearing, but before he can process, Oppa!

The loop starts again, she hopes Kenzi is having better luck. Kenzi and Hale are still making out. Her Kenzi senses tingle, and Hale has another awkward comeback.

The loop starts again. Kenzi senses tingling, and another weird Hale comeback. Bo awakens with someone else’s panties.

The loop starts again. Kenzi senses tingling, weird Hale comeback, and this time she smacks him. She’s definitely not having better luck.

Another loop start. Hale’s reading poetry, and Kenzi is all mushy. Kenzi opens the magic fae box from Bo, and pulls out some crazy specialty condoms for everything from fat free to fireproof. Hale checks his watch,  and although he wants to do this, he knows its not gonna happen. How did Hale get out of the time loop?

Bo tries Trick for the ninth time, and rushes through the explanation of the problem. Trick has been useless up until this point. She asks him why he hasn’t helped her find the wanderer, and he tells her that he’s terrified.

Another loop. This time they go to Hale, and tell him that they’re in trouble, and it may be the Unamense. He tells her that its not them. They ask where Kenzi is, and he tells them that she is off freshening up again, Oppa. He is out of the time loop! Bo smacks him about the loop, apparently it’s the work of Krampus. Tamsin is a little upset about the little prank. Hale tells them that every year Krampus chooses a couple of fae and makes them repeat the loop, that its perfectly harmless. Bo mentions the wall eating, which isn’t a normal Krampus thing. He feeds on regret.

Kenzi finds Krampus tearing down the décor. He’s not happy about the lack of offerings, and really hates the Rudolph! Kenzi asks Bo where she’s been, and she goes to confront Krampus. He warns her that she’ll rue the day she chose to desecrate the Yule lore. Krampus melds into the wall, and before he can grab Bo, Tamsin jumps in the way, and he takes her instead, as Hale watches. Everyone saw it this time, and there’s panic. Bo asks after Kenzi, she’s upstairs safe with Trick, and then asks about Krampus. Krampus is normally a nice guy whisking kids off to some kind of candyland, not eating people though walls. Bo retraces Tamsin’s steps, which leads her to the gas station. Bo berates Hale for playing along with Krampus’s time loop, but he tells her that it isn’t what she thinks. He wanted to perfect his game for Kenzi, and Kenzi overhears his confession. Bo hopes that in a few minutes the loop will reset and Kenzi won’t remember, Hale isn’t so sure, either way it isn’t right. Beach ball hits the glasses, Oppa. No reset this time. The time loop has been broken. Krampus has found enough regret to tide him over, and Bo has to find Krampus. Hale arms her, and warns her that she may think that Krampus is harmless, but he isn’t.

Lauren returns with Vex’s hand, and he worries that she can’t reattach it, but Dyson has faith in her mad skills. First though, Dyson wants to know what they’re doing with Bo’s box. Lauren points out that no matter what she says, that Dyson will say the opposite, just to  get her goad, but he says that he wants no part of her goad. Vex tells them that they want the same goad, and better yet they no longer hate each other. It’s true, they finally get eachother.

Bo heads to the gas station, its dark and quiet, and there’s no sign of Tamsin. The candy bowl is empty, but there’s a trail of gumdrops, leading to the engine, which is a lot roomier than expected. It’s some sort of Time Lord engine, much bigger on the inside.

Hale heads up to talk with Kenzi. He apologizes for is stupidity, and she asks how many times they hit a home run. Not even one time, though a few times it came close. He wanted to make the night perfect for her, and she tells him that although she digs him, it’ll never be perfect. He worries about disappointing her, and he opens up that he’s never been with someone that he really cares about. Kenzi kisses him, looks like all is forgiven. Kenzi goes to freshen up, to give Hale a second chance, but he tells her that there’s no rush.

Bo makes the leap inside the machine. There’s some sort of assembly that’s grinding people up into those little gumdrops. Eww and Bo ate one of those. Tamsin is next in line, and Bo wants to get her out, but Tamsin tells her that its alright, she was naughty and now she’s going to be candy. Bruce lugs around some candy disappointed, he got stuck in the machine and broke it and he has to wait to be candy. Bo tells Tamsin that she’s been naughty, but that she’s a good person and doesn’t deserve to be candy. Tamsin tells her that if she’s made into a lollypop she wants Bo to get the first lick. Brainwashed Tamsin is fun. Bo has trouble breaking the binds, and she uses the dagger Hale gave her to stop the machine and give her time to save Tamsin. Freed they don’t get far before Krampus comes to stop them. The succubus is done playing though, she’s about to go all Bad Santa on his butt. He tells her to take her if she can. Tamsin doesn’t want to go, to save everyone from herself. Bo tells her that she likes her, but Tamsin tells her that she won’t when she finally confesses, she was the reason that the Wanderer found Bo.

Tamsin was a bounty hunter in a previous life. She was a slave to money, she accepted a bounty from a monster, sure that the one he sought could never exist. Eyes that were both brown and blue, someone virtuous and lustful, not dark or light. Bo was never suppose to be real, and Tamsin cannot forgive herself for letting the monster find Bo. Bo tells her that none of it matters, that she forgives her. Krampus comes back, still upset over her lack of respect for the old. He tells her to admit she ate his candy, that the candy was a reminder. But the little man is not Krampus. The real Krampus comes in all his horned glory, and puts a halt to Jeffery’s plans. Bo fills Krampus in on Jefferey’s actions. Jefffrey admits to it all, and tells him that either girl would make a worthy sacrifice, but that he choses Bo. He sends away Tamsin, and Bruce, even Jeffrey, all set free. Krampus wants to use the darkness in Bo to make candy for the ages. He tells her that he’s never made blue candy, and straps her down. She tells him to let him go and she’ll let him live. He wants to stop her from breaking hearts, from all wickedness, but she isn’t scared of him. He tells her that if she lets go that he’ll set her free. She tells him of her fears, of losing the people she loves, of her own powers, of what the wanderer will make her. He sets Bo free, and she’s inside of the gas station with Tamsin. She confesses that she’s scared, and Tamsin tells her that she’s there, and there’s nothing to fear. Bo wakes in the back seat of the car, but Tamsin assures her they’re out of the loop and all is back to her kind of normal. Bo worries that the wanderer could be her father, Tamsin doesn’t ease her fears, telling her that thing would do anything to create his perfect mate, even to create her. Kenzi finds Bo and Tamsin outside, and she has a cute motherly reunion with her wayward “daughter” Tamsin. Kenzi and Hale worked things out, and the thought upsets Tamsin’s tummy, but Tamsin isn’t allowed to enter the house due to fae traditions on Yule. Kenzi tells Bo that Lauren left with Vex to sew back on his hand. Bo cannot enter either, being dark and all, but tells Kenzi to go inside. Before she goes, she gives Bo the box that Dyson and Lauren had been arguing over. With Dyson passed out he couldn’t stop her. Bo opens it, and inside there’s some black smoke, perhaps Wanderer smoke?

Lost Girl Recap S4E6: Of All The Gin Joints

Pretty opera bird sings for an audience of one. He loves her performance. After her performance, she tries to get away from her escort, and he blows a whistle at her, but he’s too weak to pursue her.

Tamsin leaves the nest, and Kenzi hopes her “child” is safe wherever she is. The bird makes it to the Dal, and she’s so happy to have found Bo, but Bo doesn’t know her. She speaks in Russian, and Kenzi translates. Bo told her to come, she just doesn’t remember doing so. Trick makes her comfortable, incenses the room, and hides his seed box. Inyanka is resting, but Trick won’t let Bo talk to her until she heals. She’s an Alchemist, a descendant of bird people and they’re very delicate. Running in the cold may have strained her vocal cords. Their beautiful songs can invoke powerful memories, which  may be just what Bo needs.

Lauren has a one man dance party as she packs up her apartment. The Morrigan comes to lend a hand, and Lauren is less than welcoming, even though she comes baring Pizza and beer. The Morrigan is certainly trying to be friendly, and she comes with more gifts, some very old journals.

Dyson has returned, and he gives her some bad news. Dyson tells Bo that Lauren went dark, and Bo tells him that she did as well, though unwillingly. Dyson promises to fix the problem, and Bo thinks a kiss will fix things, but Dyson tells her that they can’t because its forbidden, which is exactly what she wants. Bo gets a little rough, in Trick’s barrel room, and Trick scolds them. The Unamense are on the rampage, and furthermore Inyanka is awake. Bo pays her a visit, Inyanka is happy to see her. Bo is glad to see her, but can’t remember anything. Inyanka tells her that she came after she sung to her and it touched her. She inspired Inyanka to escape. Bo still doesn’t remember, so Inyanka sings for her. Bo remembers running, through the woods after the train, she remembers waking up in the death train, but nothing more. She asks Inyanka to sing more, but she will not. She was offered a trade, and she means to have her freedom. Bo wants her memories and Inyanka has the key. Bo’s powers flair with her memories so close. And Inyanka tells her that she is just like the others, wanting to hold her captive. She’s been the prisoner of a powerful Durak, but he’s starving her. She desires to sing before an audience, to sing her famous Aria. Pieces come together, Bo told her that she would not remember, and Inyanka has another clue, hidden in Bo’s knife handle. It says Inyanka, you will sing for me and I will bring you freedom. It’s her handwriting.

The Durak arrives at the Dal looking for his bird. Bo tells her that no one owns Inyanka, but the Durak tells her that she’s been owned by his family for a long time. Bo lies saying that she’s already left, but he has her tracked. The device is in her magic necklace. Bo tells him that she only wants to sing the famous aria for the masses, but he feels like it would be wasted on them and refuses. She strokes his ego, and threatens to expose his selfishness to the public. The Durak back peddles, and makes his Diva demands.

The Morrigan’s gift were the private journals of Charles Mayo, Albert Einstein and Marie Curie. She knew Marie personally and swiped it from her, Mayo’s was buried under Jimmy Hoffa, and Einstein’s she picked up at a garage sale. Lauren is a little impressed, especially that she goes to garage sales. But humans will sell almost everything, and then she lets slip that Faberge was fae, along with the other three. The Morrigan dumps more fae books on her, there are hundreds of journals. Lauren is tickled pink. Not all fae experiment on humans, humans do too, and she thinks that’s the best way to test out things. Lauren doesn’t like the ideal of experimenting on people. Evony tells her that she doesn’t have to do anything that she doesn’t want to, she has freedom, and if her morals are nonnegotiable, she respects it.

Trick tries to get Kenzi to leave, telling him that the Aria may hurt her, but she doesn’t plan on going anywhere, especially not when she sees Hale, but he just side steps her to get closer to the Alchemist. Poor Kenzi. Kenzi hates the Alchemist, but Bo knows that she’s the key to everything. It’s show time. The Alchemist sings her song, and Bo taps into her memories.

Under a silver platter there’s a crown with her name on it, literally. She remembers the train, but before she can see the Wanderer’s face, the aria is interrupted. A man holds the songstress, she’s a walking time bomb, wired to go bomb. Kenzi is nowhere to be seen, and Dyson and Bo try to figure out a plan. It’s the necklace. Not only is it a GPS, but also a bomb. The man holding her is a camazot (Amazonian bat warrior) named Marcus. He’s come for Inyaka before. Her song bolsters their warriors, but the Durak is prepared to go to war over her. Trick will not allow it though, for fear of the Unamense’s wrath. Inyanka swoons a little, and there’s a look that passes from her to Marcus. Bo sees it, and says that the Aria has weakened her. They allow her to rest, and Bo gets a closer look at her necklace which Trick tells her is made of Atlantian Quartz, thought capable of causing volcanic eruptions. The Quartz needs to be frozen, but only liquid volcanic Argon can go it.

Lauren and the Morrigan continue to bond, and Lauren does a mock starship log. She’s very tipsy after just one beer, the Morrigan’s beer just happens to be 25%. That’s one strong beer. Kenzi arrives to crash this little party and she is not happy.

Hale pays Inyanka a visit. They seem to be old friends, they use to play pranks together, even though she always messed up joke. She kisses him, and thanks him for the visit, but sends him away so she can rest more. Bo sees the kiss. Hale leaves.

Lauren wraps up what Kenzi needs, but doesn’t believe Kenzi’s cover story about needing it for their homemade merlot. Kenzi is less than trusting of the Morrigan and Lauren’s new alliance, but she admits that Bo misses her, they all do. Kenzi slips up in her rattling and Lauren catches the bit about clear Atlantian Quartz.

Bo heads down to visit Inyanka, but she doesn’t think that Marcus wants to harm Inyanka. She refuses to leave, and Marcus arms the necklace. Bo is pissed, but she goes back up. Marcus moves in closer, as Hale spies on them. Dyson has rigged a bug so he can listen in. But Marcus knows that someone is listening in, Marcus presses the necklace as she tells everyone to get down. Kenzi comes to find Bo on the ground. The Quartz no longer has fire in it, it’s a fake, hence no boomed. Dr. Lauren illuminated her on the Quartz. Kenzi wants to go find Hale, and Bo doesn’t stop her. Dyson reports that both Marcus and Inyanka are gone. The Durek claims to know nothing, but Bo wants answers. Dyson searches the stage. The Durek spills the beans. When Inyanka was stolen back she was changed. Dyson finds a transmitter, and Bo finally puts the pieces together. Marcus and Inyanka are in love, and although his people won’t allow them to be together, Inyanka has the ability to kill with her song and there just happens to be some super sonic rocks that could assist her. Dyson heads out to sound the alarm, and Kenzi tells Bo that Hale is missing. Bo tells her the bad news, and Kenzi is coming.

Bo stops Inyanka before she can sing her note. She thinks it’s a declaration of love, but he wants death, and he’s not taking no for an answer. He uses a whistle against her when she refuses. But someone has a more powerful whistle. And Hale uses his Siren whistle on Marcus. Hale stops, and Marcus draws a gun, pointing it at Inyanka. Bo tells everyone to leave, but everyone refuses. Inyanka tries to reason with him, but he reveals his true feelings, and Inyanka gives him what he wants. Kenzi falls prey to it, and Hale has to carry her to safety. Inyanka continues to sing even as Marcus begs her to stop. She falls to the ground, but Marcus is dead. She killed in her weakened state, and it’ll be her death as well she tells Bo. She knew she could never be free, but Inyanka does not want it. Bo made her believe she could be free. Inyanka gives her one last gift.

Hale sits with Kenzi, who is experiencing one heck of a hangover. Hale updates Kenzi on the deaths, and Hale is happy for Inyanka, she’s finally free. He’s also glad that Kenzi is finally at his home, and she tells him that she’s always been here. She asks him if Inyanka’s death note hurt him, and he tells her no. Awww, it’s finally the start of their coupledom. As Kenzi cuddles up to him, theirs blood in his ear, which worries him just a bit.

Bo opens up Inyanka’s gift. On the train, she sees herself looking to a mirror, with a ghostly hand on her. She tells herself that she can’t do this. Dyson comes to find out what she learned, but she looks freaked.

The Morrigan continues to bond with Lauren, she parts as a friend for now. The Morrigan gives her a key to the dark fae’s medical science building, and Lauren tells her that she won’t sign anything. She still doesn’t quite trust her, and the Morrigan respects her for that. She hands her the keys to her new condo, and Lauren pounces. She plants a kiss on Evony, looks like there’s more than pizza between them. Lauren peels a layer off her lip and puts in one of her little petri dishes, the kiss was more than a kiss. Is Lauren planning on spybanging the Morrigan too? For now she just toasts herself to new beginnings.

Bo and Dyson get frisky, but Bo won’t look at Dyson, she’s got her eyes shut tight, and when he asks her again, she forces him down. She’s angry. He tells her that no one owns her, and worse she fears becoming like Marcus, choking on bitterness and rage. Dyson points out that she inspired Inyanka to seek freedom, but Bo tells him it was a different Bo, one that was busy sending herself clues, planning. She joined the dark willingly. Dyson knows she had good reason, and that dark and light are just label. Bo falls to her knees, and that ghost hand print is back at her chest and neck. The wanderer, Rayner marked her. Bo fears he’s her father. The Unamense arrives, and Dyson is in trouble for breaking their laws. He wolfs out.

Lost Girl Recap S4E2: Sleeping Beauty School

Now that everyone remembers Bo, its time to find her. Dyson heads again to the scene of his accident. He remembers Tamsin driving through the Wanderer, and driving them off the cliff. He heads down the bank, and hears someone in the bushes. It bites him, but he promises not to hurt her. He pulls out a dirty, child.

Kenzi prepares for Bo’s homecoming. She tells her bed that she has a lead on some Victoria’s Secret models, as she gathers up a few of her favorite things. Dyson tells her that they have nothing, no leads on Bo’s whereabouts. But Kenzi hopes that she’s finishing off whatever kidnapped her, and is on her way back to them. Dyson shows her what he’s found: Little Tamsin. They don’t want to frighten the Valkyrie, but they need info. Her base personality and sassy pants remains though, so they’re given hope.

A redheaded Lauren tries to make a call unsuccessfully.

Trick tells them that Valkyrie memories come back slow, and sometimes there’s memory suppression. Trick marvels over the lack of security in Kenzi’s place, as he searches for something.  Dyson asks him about the cut on his arm, and Trick asks about the compass. Kenzi gives it to him, as he gathers up other things. She tries to make a break for it, and Dyson stops her, he puts her on babysitting duties. Trick delivers some horrible news, Bo is off the planet, or atleast their realm.

Bo awakens, woozy. She feels like she’s spinning, and she is. Bo is on some sort of cosmic train.

Dyson asks Trick again about the blood on his arm. He tells her about Aoife and her insanity. He tells him that Bo must never find out, there’s a lot she must never find out of course. They need a tracker, someone who can transverse the planes, and only one name comes to mind. Trick tells him that there’s one fae who may know the whereabouts of Edymion (Eddy), Selene his ex. The Unamense has also arrived, and their not about torture to regain the balance.

Vex is all bound up, but its not his normal brand of kink. The Unamense has bloodied him up really well. They want to know where the Morrigan is, but he tells them that she was behind the portrait but she escaped. They go to take his power, but he’s not ready to go down without a fight. He offers up “her.” And they accept on condition that he has to eat a nasty bug.

Dyson and Hale head to Selene’s Salon. She takes Dyson in back to manage his unruly curls. Hale stick up front to snoop through the books, but Cleo has other plans. She asks what they want with Eddy, that Selene won’t give Dyson any information. She tells him to ask Astrid, and gives him a message to give her. While he reads his hand she disappears before he can get her name. What is that little nymph up to? Hale goes with her lead though, and Dyson tells him that he got nothing.

Little Tamsin grills Kenzi on her love life. Kenzi hasn’t had the most success in that department lately, and Tamsin runs off for a potty break. She finds Tamsin dumping her fae cream, and Tamsin starts crying when she yells at her. Kenzi treats her to some magic, but Kenzi is out of juice. Kenzi offers to make cookies instead.

Astrid tells the boys she can’t give them the information they need, that the one who gave them the message wants their memories erased. One seeks a hunter, the other seeks the courage to hunt. Hale tells her he doesn’t know what she’s talking about, but she reveals she cannot talk, no mouth. Hale acknowledges her as Hystome. She erases memories. She tells them that she will help. She gives Dyson a kiss, only one moment will be its match. She gives Hale something for his frustrations too, tells him to go to the one he loves. Meanwhile Selene’s has turned into some weird sort of dance party as the salon girls clean up, which many a wet dream has spawned out of. Cleo reveals herself, and rings the dinner bell. The girls surround Dyson and Hale, claws extended. They suddenly drop their claws, and move to seduce Hale. Dyson slips away as Hale is left to take a few for the team.

Kenzi and Tamsin makes cookies, but Kenzi’s cookies are awful. She asks Kenzi what bff means, and it only breaks Kenzi’s heart a little more since she blames herself for not knowing where Bo is. Tamsin finds the Wanderer card, and it catches fire in her hand. Kenzi notices that Bo is on the card too, and Tamsin wonders if Bo is stuck in the card.

Dyson goes looking for Selene, and finds a safe, one he’s familiar with. Luckily brute strength works as wells as the combination. He finds Eddy inside, Selene tells him that he’s just fast asleep.

Lauren finds a newspaper with an awful missing person picture, that reminds her of Bo. She knocks over her tray, and Crystal gets a little too close for comfort. She flirts more than a little with Lauren, and offers to buy her a drink, but Lauren turns her down.

Selene fawns over Eddy, but she refuses to wake him. Selene gets turned on by Dyson’s man handling. She wants a piece of the wolf, and as she does on about kisses and he sprays her with the vials he was given. He tells Selene to kiss Eddy, and Eddy awakens, then knocks out Selene. Eddy is ready to repay his debt, after they bind up Selene.

Bo tries to pick her lock, thinking of Kenzi, but the memory is fleeting. She bangs on the door, and a maid comes in cautioning her not to awaken “him.” Bo uses her powers on the girl, but she doesn’t fall under her spell. She blames Bo for awakening something.

Dyson gives Eddy Bo’s description, but he needs more. He needs to know where his heart lies and hers. He tells him that her heart is her own, and that she has a girlfriend. Dyson shows Eddy the card Kenzi found. And Eddy tries to put Kenzi into the equation, which ruffles Hale’s feathers as he claims Kenzi. Eddy tells Dyson that if it is his Bo on the card, then she is in a heap of trouble. Dyson finally opens up about Bo, finally giving Eddy something, and Hale too. Dyson tells Hale he needs to tell Kenzi how he feels. But after last week am I the only one who wants to see Dyson and Kenzi together? Dyson is still fighting for Bo, and tells Hale he needs to do the same for Kenzi, that there will never be a good time. Eddy and Dyson set off for some work.

Lauren serves a piggish customer, and Crystal is touchy after her shut down. Lauren tries to apologize, and Crystal soon makes up with her. Pig boy starts choking, and when Lauren’s Heimlich doesn’t work, she slits his fae throat and removes the blockage. He’s fine, but Crystal recorded the whole thing with her camera phone.

Eddy brags over his past conquests, as Dyson asks how he did the realm shifts. Dyson notices that their being  followed, by a naughty Cleo. Dyson notices a shift ahead of them.

Hale arrives with flowers, ready to woo Kenzi, but he cannot find the words. Kenzi finally got baby Tamsin to bed. Hale gives her the flowers but she’s not thinking romantical thoughts. Kenzi grills him about Bo, but that’s not why he’s all twitchy. He finally spills how he feels about Kenzi, and she plants a kiss on him, but finds it weird. She clears the table and kisses him again, but its awkward as heck. Tasmin’s screams break up the weird make out session. And she’s grown into a big haired teen. Hale and Kenzi try to tell her that it’ll be okay, but she’s freaking out about her body. Hale makes a break for it, and Tamsin ponders her boobs.

Dyson finds some sort of fae device, but Eddy is obsolete. Before he can touch a button, Cleo tackles him. I don’t think that she’s who she says she is. Dyson knocks out one of her teeth and he goes easy on her. She tells him that he is not Eddy, that she is. Cleo has assumed his identity and gigs while he was under Selene’s spell. He spawned the Elementals in the Salon that were working for Selene, but Cleo is special. Unlike his children who only commune with one element, Cleo communes with all of them. Cleo shows off her skills. Eddy relives his golden years until a train takes him out. Cleo makes plans to save Bo.

Dyson and Cleo head over to Kenzi’s for a closer look at the card. Kenzi and Dyson try to make sense of the numbers but neither can touch it, but Cleo can. Kenzi is highly suspicious of Cleo, not just because of her powers, but her looks too. Dyson keeps Kenzi on babysitting duty longer, tells her to listen to Hale, really listen. Cleo is ready to hit the road, so off they go. Kenzi looks at her sunflowers.

Cleo prepares to put the card into the machine, but Dyson needs answers first. Cleo keeps popping up trying to save him, and that is just not normal. Cleo tries to oversimplify her reason for trying to save him the night of the Collector’s party. She tells him that she thought they were competition, but she found them to be otherwise. Don’t trust her, she’s leaving something out! Dyson lets her feed the card into the machine, and it actually worked to Cleo’s surprise. Lauren calls Dyson, and she’s scared. Dyson tells her that she’s smart and resourceful but whatever needs to get done she’s on her own.

Vex makes a call to Cleo. We finally know who sent her! And he makes clear that he needs Bo alive. Cleo makes her deal, and Dyson only hears part of it. Cleo tells him that she will find his succubus. The train is upon them, a death train, and Dyson doesn’t let Cleo run as they cross planes.

Kenzi calls her magic dealer, ready to pawn some valuables for her powers.

Lauren has a drink with Crystal, and when Crystal heads to the loo Lauren makes a grab for her phone, but Crystal catches her. Lauren vaguely explains why they can’t release the video, and Crystal is understanding. Crystal deletes the video, and Lauren is very grateful.

Bo feeds off the maid’s chi, but doesn’t kill her. All powered up, Bo has the juice to get the door open and jumps from the train.

Lost Girl Recap S4E1: In Memoriam

Tonight is the new season of Lost Girl finally. Lucky ducks up in Canada got this gem back in November, but for us US folks, tonight starts off our season, so let’s dig in! A truck drives in a Kenzi sneaks out. She’s spying on some robed characters plotting a Indiana Jones mission, but she’s caught. He plans to take the claimed “human” in, but Dyson and Hale tell him he’s mistaken, and Kenzi shows off some fireworks. He buys her theatrics and Hale takes her away without ever seeing what’s in the box. Hale cautions Kenzi against using her temporary powers. Dyson takes home “tinkerbell” and Hale gets stuck with the paperwork. Dyson sniffs around Kenzi’s home, but she assures her that she’s alone. And then he kisses her, one very hot wolfy kiss, but he pulls away because of Hale. A knock on the door breaks up the mood even more, and its Aoife. She uses her power of persuasion to gain entry, she needs help finding Bo, but no one seems to know her.

Aoife is looking for the daughter that she lost. No one knows Bobo, she played no part in defeating Aoife when she went all supervillain and killed the Ash. But Aoife knows Dyson, they met recently in the lab. Kenzi doesn’t exactly believe Aoife’s story, but Aoife knows in her heart that she had a daughter even though there’s no proof. Dyson find the photo of Bo beautiful, and Kenzi is ruffled about it. She turns down to gig, but Aoife shows them proof that her memories have been tampered with. She just wants to know why the memories have been wiped and at the word pay, Kenzi finds herself on board. Dyson heads off to meet with Tamsin, because he needs info and she saved him. Aoife uses her powers to get out of their tab, and Kenzi is more intrigued.

Dyson heads to the spot of his accident, seeing pieces of it, but unable to remember the whole thing.

Kenzi goes to see Trick. Trick thinks someone has been messing with the balance space and time, oh Trick if you only knew! Trick shows her a seed, it’s a symbol of the unamense, they’re descending upon them since its been messy lately. Kenzi asks if they would cause amnesia, but he tells her no and sends her to an orthanex, Dr. Snook, a fish fey that feeds on memories. Kenzi asks about Lauren, but Trick tells her that she abandoned the light fae. Kenzi doesn’t believe it. Someone is firmly in Dr. Hotpants’s corner, believing she’s the only human ally she has even if she is barely human. People are searching for Lauren at least. Trick tells her to be careful, clueless of the wanderer card he smashes between crates.

Kenzi and Dyson go to see Dr. Snook, but his receptionist isn’t welcoming. Kenzi strong arms their way past Janet during a client session, where the Dr. is making a wife forget her husband’s infidelity. When they go to question him, he tells Kenzi that he doesn’t restore memories only takes them, but admires the extraction that was performed on her. She has no clue what he’s talking about, and Dyson looks to see that she has the same little weird mark on her eye that Aoife had. Of course, Dyson has the same make, but its not Snook’s work. Kenzi tries to sort through the disturbing revelation.

Trick tells her that to shatter the spell she’ll need the recardo compass. It’s been lost under the season, but rumor has it that Anglerum has it. Kenzi gets Dyson to score some tickets to the shindig so she can get close to Anglerum, and Trick makes her cough up her pilfered wares. Kenzi has quite the sticky fingers. When she pulls out the photo of Bo, Trick’s blood reacts a little crazily to it. Trick asks for all the deets about her client.

Vex berates the Morrigan’s former assistant, over his unflattering wardrobe. This party is the last chance to have some fun before the counsel arrives. Dyson arrives and stops Vex from ironing out the assistant. Dyson and Vex have a little pissing contest, and Vex ultimately calls it a draw. Seems the Morrigan named Vex her heir, which surprised him a bit. Dyson blackmails Vex into getting him tickets to the party, looks like Evany’s demise was highly exaggerated and  Dyson has sniffed her out. Vex calls down and gets Dyson him the ticket that he’s asked for. Dyson makes no promises to let him keep his throne once he remembers, and Vex takes out his frustration on the assistant.

Dyson and Hale stroll through the collector’s party, both guys wishing their lady will get there, but Kenzi is having trouble figuring out what to wear. She calls Lauren, for advice, and hoping that she’s safe. Mosimo comes at arrowpoint. He’s brought Kenzi some sprite extract, and takes a hands on approach to Kenzi’s disgust for application. She owes big for what he’s turned her into, which isn’t quite fae like she wanted. But like a junky, she’s feigning for more, and makes promises to pay his high price.

Hale keeps a look out for Kenzi, and Dyson spots prey. Hale makes a remark about Dyson’s type, unbeknownst to either that the hottie in the dress is actually Kenzi until she turns around. Kenzi is late, and the Collector is already narrowing down favorites. Dyson wonders if Kenzi is out of her league, and she goes to prove herself. Methinks Dyson just doesn’t want to share. Mia Kirshner (love her I don’t care who she is playing) asks Dyson and Bo finally makes an appearance. He gets a severe case of déjà vu and loses her as Cleo introduces herself, and she fawns over Dyson, she’s a nymph. He may not be interested but I am. He’s had some bad tequila soaked nymph experiences. Kenzi and Hale take the floor and all eyes are on them. It’s awkward between them on the dancefloor, and the alpha wolf takes over to make the tango steamy. The two cut quite the rug, and Hale throws his hat in, taking back his partner, but Kenzi and Dyson just sizzle. It becomes a saucy threeway tango, and if the Collector isn’t intrigued now, he’s blind. Kenzi ends the dance with some fireworks and gets her rose.

Kenzi goes to meet the Collector, and its George Takei!. He’s a giant snake guy, no wonder he does the whole private audiences only.

Vex makes a flashy entrance, he wants the wolf. Cleo offers to get Dyson out for a price but he’s willing to go up against the Morrigan/Mesmer. She asks if he knows how to repel, as Vex starts snapping necks. Cleo and the rest of the party people decide to make a break for the doors.

The Collector goes to look inside to grant her unlimited wish. She asks for the compass, and he scoffs at her request. He gives her some beauty tips getting a bit catty in his delivery. He makes note that he thought she’d wish for “her return.” He snaps his fingers and gives her the compass, telling her that she doesn’t know what she’s missing. She notices that he called her human, and the Collector now that he’s granted her wish devour her whole.

Dyson and Vex prepare to faceoff. Vex’s memory is gone as well, which confuses Dyson more. Vex knows he was never meant to be the Morrigan, and he doesn’t want anyone regaining their memories in case it makes them challenge his position. He refuses to be powerless. Hale strides in, and Vex Mesmers him into silence and to grab Dyson. Dyson frees Hale’s mouth so he can siren Vex, and Dyson runs to save Kenzi as Hale takes on Vex. Vex is no match for Hale.

Kenzi runs through the Collector’s collection hiding, but her powers are of no help. And she’s all out of Sprite juice. Hale plans to put an end to Vex over Kenzi. Kenzi is out of places to run when Dyson comes to the rescue. He spears the snake tail and gets away with the girl.

Trick catches up with Aoife. She’s happy to see her father.
The compass has cracked during the cat and mouse game, but the memory loss stays in place. Kenzi goes to align the needle to North, and Dyson stops her. He tells her he would give his life for him. Wondering if its as good as it gets, if they can make it better. But Kenzi knows that something is missing, that something isn’t right. She tells him that her heart hurts, and that when you’re in love you know. He agrees with her, that whatever happens they’re in it together. He sets the compass to North, and the memories return, and neither of them are okay as they remember Bo. Aoife and Trick remember too, and their happy reunion is cut short, as Aoife’s crazy takes over and she goes to spill Trick’s blood.

Kenzi and Dyson find Hale and Vex. Hale didn’t kill Vex, and he’s very happy that Kenzi didn’t get eaten by the snake. They all agree they have to find Bo, but they need to figure out who did the mind erase first. Dyson gets a call from Tamsin, and as the last person to see Bo alive, Dyson runs. Hale wants to talk, but with Bo missing Kenzi can’t. She runs off.

The box from the beginning opens and something oozes out.

Lauren is working in a diner as Amber when she remembers.

Bo awakens.

Lost Girl Season 1 DVD/Blu-Ray Review

Lost Girl is a witty, gritty and way more fun than it really has a right to be. Fans of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, and really anyone who enjoys good television should be tuning into this. The humor infused at just the right breaking the tension is perfection, and let’s face it, having a succubus for a heroine doesn’t hurt either.

On the grimy streets of Toronto, there are magical, ancient beings that humans are not even aware of, not even the sexy succubus Bo (Anna Silk) knows about the others like herself out there, having been raised by humans. She comes under the suspicion of the Fae after saving a human, Kenzi (Ksenia Solo) who insinuates herself into Bo’s life, which not only complicates it but changes it forever. Bo soon learns that the Fae are divided between Light and Dark and while they demand she chose a side, she refuses to make a choice.

Each episode features a “creature of the week” format, as relationships are established and Bo searches for her true identity and tries to figure out where her heart lies. Her two main love interests don’t adhere to your normal cookie cutter love triangles, both actually bring something different to the table. Dyson, the light fae werewolf, is the territorial alpha male, providing sexual healing - literally - in an electrifying friends with benefits relationship. Lauren, the fragile human, geeky beta female, provides the human warmth and emotional connection/support Bo so desperately needs.  While I’ve firmly got my membership in Team Dyson, both relationships are filled with oodles of chemistry, and watching them unfold and are both heart-wrenching and beautiful.

But the best relationship may be the one she crafts with Kenzi inside their home sweet crack shack. Kenzi simply has the best lines of the series. She simply steals the show every time she sets foot on the canvas. Ksenia Solo showcases the multifaceted Kenzi with her quirks, cleverness, all while being utterly loyal to Bo. Though she’s only human she manages to stay in the middle of fae society.

Really,  the cast of this series is really superb – Anna Silk manages to be sensual without being cartoonish, she has this air of innocence that seems imbued into her rather than forced. Bo is a genuinely nice person with deep-rooted morals, she just happens to also be a succubus. Kris Holden-Ried is amazing as the hard-nosed cop who falls completely in love with her; K.C. Collins is the perfect counterpart to Kenzi as a fellow sidekick and Rick Howland is pure AWESOME. He’s secretive and caring and way bigger a piece of the puzzle than you expect, but he is fantastic. The one actor I couldn't quite connect with was Zoie Palmer, who always has a weird half-smirk on her face, and maybe I’m just biased but felt her relationship with Bo was a little forced.

The DVDs are pretty flawless, they’ve transferred well, and as a bonus with the DVDs and Blu-Rays you get some uncut footage, which makes this girl more than a little happy.

The Extras are kinda sparse. They include Cast interviews, Crew Interviews, Behind the Scene Clips, and Previews.  I would have loved to see some bloopers, because this cast is hilarious together, and hearing them at comic con, they had such a good time filming. The Cast interviews are quite short, although there are several each only seem to a question each.

All in all, while Lost Girl isn’t fun for the whole family, it is definitely on the top of my must watch list. If you haven’t already ordered a copy, run out to your nearest store and pick up a copy. You won’t regret it.

Series Synopsis: Bo is a gorgeous renegade. An irresistible beauty. And a deadly succubus. For years, she had no idea what she was or why every new lover died in the throes of passion. She fled one corpse after another until a chance encounter with the puckish thief Kenzi exposed Bo's existence to the Fae. This ancient society of supernatural beings exists outside the realm of mere mortals. Within their world, there are only two sides: Light and Dark. Each member of the Fae must choose who they will serve. But not Bo. Driven to discover who she really is, Bo vows to live on her own terms even if it means existing in the abyss between darkness and light. With the help of the mischievous, but loyal, Kenzi, the handsome shapeshifter Dyson, and the beautiful human scientist Lauren, Bo will use her powers of seduction to unravel the riddle of her mysterious past.

There is a mass noble fae family gathering, and he needs her to just pose as his girlfriend so that his family will back off. Kenzi tells him that she has a boyfriend, but he pulls out a laundry list of items that he’s assisted with, she capitulates on the conditions that there is no groping, smooching or magical impregnations. And best of all he’s brought her a present. He give her his Nona’s old gown and fascinator.

Lachlan goes over the Don’s explosion case. He tells Bo about the three clans of importance: The Zamora, the Bucara, and Finargrin, they’re like the mob with mermaids. Lachlan tells her that the time couldn’t be worst with the Invarel happening. With peace so tentative between the families, it’s the perfect opportunity for the Garuda to strike. Lachlan tells her to team with Dyson and apprise the families of the situation and rally them to the cause. He tells her to remember that they’re a pretentious bunch.

Hale and Kenzi prepare for battle. He warns her that his family is a little old school. He introduces Kenzi to his father, and its clear they do not approve, more so when the maid drops her tray at the sight of a human. His father doesn’t even see Kenzi as a person. Hale’s sister Val is less than pleasant to her as well, she’s a pombero, a fae that steals voices, and uses her brother to demonstrate her power when he doesn’t agree with her. They’re father stops the childish antics, and goes back to human bashing, before voicing his disgust with the fact that his only son is a Siren. Sirens are good enough to sleep with, but not for his son to be one. His father and Val tell him that there is a limit to charity, and cheap, ill bred mortals are it.

Bo and Dyson discuss the case. He wants to play bad cop, but Bo thinks that they should examine the evidence. A photo of the three clans is burned, suggesting that there is a vendetta against the clans.

Sturgess tries to get him to understand the importance of this meeting being in their home, they haven’t been there for 300 years. Kenzi and Bo are surprised to see each other. Dyson has arrived, and Val takes interest in Bo. Sturgess is interest as well. Dyson and Bo have come to question him, and he takes them to the wine cellar. Sturgess throws blame towards one of the other clans, saying that they’re as shifty as humans. With fast speed, he leads Kenzi away from the vintages, asking if she would prefer a wine cooler. Ouch, he couldn’t be any ruder. Kenzi saunters away, and Val gets frisky beneath the table as Bo watches on. Dyson moves her hand away, and Sturgess serves up dessert. Val remarks that the silverware the human used should be washed twice, or tossed out. That’s the last straw, Kenzi leaves. If she wanted to be insulted so, she would spend time with her own family. Val is pleased, and Hale runs off after her. Kenzi is upset over the way that Hale just used her. Sturgess mentions how easy going Bo has been, contrary to the reports, thinking that Dyson has been a good influence. It wasn’t Dyson’s influence she tells him but Kenzi’s. She tells him what she thinks of him, and Dyson stops her. Val makes a very open invitation. Bo and Dyson are off to charm the other two families since she failed here.

Nate surprises Kenzi with some flowers. His sweet gesture isn’t lost on him, even if she did stand him up for another date. She tells him it was the worst date of all time, and it doesn’t make him feel any better. He’s a little jealous of Hale, and she tells him that he’s just a friend. There are too many secrets between them, he wants to trust her, but she’s making it hard for him to do so. He’s right, and its killing her, but she can’t spill it all.

Bo and Dyson seek out Dabner, or rather they seek him out. Something entered his room, on fire, and he barely escaped. He refuses to be silence he says, and his hand begins to smolder. Trick asks if the creature touched him, as he goes up in a flash fire, and is reduced to ashes. Trick tells them that a charuough , a magma fae, sets off a chain reaction that can’t be stopped. They usually disguise themselves as rocks, and they have to figure out his motivations. With only one Don left, they have to head back to the Santiago estate.

Bo finds Kenzi devouring her ice cream. Kenzi lied her butt off to Nate, and Bo tells her that if Hale is ruining her relationship to tell him. She also doesn’t think that her issues with Nate are a fae thing. Lauren’s arrival interrupts, and the whole truth thing lacks punch. She has Nadia in tow, and she excuses herself to the restroom, as Lauren dives in with what she’s found about the charuough in the Ash’s library. They’re bad ass, and have a very famous history. They were responsible for Pompeii, which they refer to as the Rape of Scafati, which Bo recognizes. On Marisol’s desk was the word Scafati. Lauren questions why Marisol would have it, and Bo wonders what the Dons are keeping from them.

Nadia searches Bo’s room, checking out her sword, and looking at herself in the mirror. She came out of her coma, but something isn’t right with her. Bo catches her looking through a trunk of hers, and surprises Nadia. Nadia comments on Bo’s weapons collection. Bo shrugs it off as a hobby, and Nadia admits that she was checking out the competition. Bo tells her that she’s not her competition, and reassures her that it’ll stay between them, Bo remains suspicious though.

Hale is happy to see Kenzi arrive at the Dal. She wonders if he was there with her yesterday. Hale tells her that it was yesterday, and the estate is always crazy. She tells him that Nate doesn’t understand, and Hale offers to talk to him about it. He also tells her that if she doesn’t come, it’ll be another thing that his father will think he failed at. Kenzi still doesn’t understand why he chose to bring her to impress his family, and not Bo. Hale tells her that as the Santiago heir, one day he may be the head of the Zamora clan, and she asks if he needs a tiny human Queen to claim his throne. If so, she’d be perfect. But no, he wishes to set an example, that the fae need to modernize, and co-exist with the humans to refrain from irrelevancy. Hale delivers his Mighty Ducks speech, and Kenzi is in agreement for one more night.

Bo returns to the Santiago house hold, and stalks back to the bottles that Kenzi was looking at. Sturgess comes after her, surprised that she made it past security. She pulls the bottle lacking dust, revealing a hidden door. He has some explaining to do. Inside, she grabs a scroll, and he unrolls it for her, admitting that the Scafati isn’t a thing, but a clan, and Bo remembers his little cake slicing ceremony, and the four parts, four clans. The Scafati clan was the most powerful of all, and they used the charuough under mount Vesuvius to get rid of them with the condition that they would deliver the first daughter born every 100 years, but of course they welched on their deliveries. They tricked the creature, or so they thought. He doesn’t understand this sudden need for revenge, but Bo tells him of the Garuda, and asks him to stop the Invarel. But he cannot show fear in front of the other clans, even if it means death. He traps Bo in the secret room, and prepares to party.

The Invarel looks to be a hoity toity affair. The guests are announced one by one, and Hale worries over Kenzi’s late arrival. Kenzi makes a well, Kenzi entrance, looking gorgeous as always. Hale is delighted by her entrance, his father and sister look than less pleased. Kenzi is worried over her look, but Hale tells her its perfect. Dyson keeps watch, and Val gives chase. The clans posturing about is distasteful. Val continues to try to seduce Dyson, but he points out that she’s his best friend’s baby sister. She’s no baby anymore, and she sees a change in him. She mentions overhearing Sturgess and Bo in the wine cellar earlier, and her illusions of her perfect father was shattered. She breaks down a little, but she isn’t looking for a white knight, but a bad wolf. She offers to let him “feel something” for a change, and leaves him with an open invitation.

Bo crawls her way through a cupboard, and finds Nate lurking around. He snuck in with the caterers, thinking he would win over Kenzi.

Hale and Kenzi laugh over the reactions of the other clan members. He is having way too much fun with it all, and overly glad that she chose to come. Her by his side is almost better than an actual girlfriend. Kenzi laughs over his slightly changed stance of saving the fae from their prejudices. Bo arrives, completely underdressed for the party, and warns Kenzi of the other uninvited underdressed person there. Kenzi takes off with Bo, as Nate waits. A string of “Dudes,” and Bo runs off. Nate wants to talk it out, but without the Batman proclamations. Nate tells her she’s a great catch, and because he’s so head over heels for her he would almost be okay if she was dating a cop behind his back. She confesses that she’s playing girlfriend to get Hale’s family off his back, and Nate understands. Things are good between then, she still can’t confess everything, and Nate accepts that too, but Kenzi has to go. She admits that she loves him, and they’re both a little surprised by her confession. Unfortuantely, Val spies the whole her proclamations, and kisses. As Val passes Kenzi, she steals away her voice.  Val signals Dyson, and he follows. She struggles to speak, and Hale notices. Bo tells Hale that the charuough is there, and she’s off to find Dyson. Sturgess intercepts Bo, hoping that she isn’t plotting anything stupid, but she is. She’s gonna save him.

Kenzi is back in the kitchen getting a drink, when she spies a pile of people ash. With her voice gone all she can do is offer up a silent prayer. She hides out, and tries to slink away to safety, and the scene is eerily similar to the Raptor Kitchen attack. Lucky for Kenzi, Bo is there to knock the charuough away, she heads off after the beast.

Dyson is busy doing bad things with Val, who refuses to take no for an answer.

Bo searches the kitchen, while Dyson gets busy against the wine barrels. Hale catches Dyson and Val, and he’s less than happy. Dyson just broke the bro code in a big way. Bo tries to use a fire extinguisher against the charuough but, its out. Dyson taunts Hale to hit him, but Hale is too disappointed. He takes Val away. Kenzi come with the assist, and her sneak attacks pay off when she leads her to a nitrogen container, which she uses to take out the charuough.

Bo and Kenzi make a big announcement during the Invarel. She shows them the charuough skull, and warns that the Garuda is feeding off their rage, and only getting stronger. Hale sees this as an opportunity to reunite the clans, even if they refuse. Hale punches Dyson, and forces his sister to give Kenzi back his voice. They leave, but Sturgess comes after Hale. He tells him he only used the charuough to keep the family safe, but Hale knows it was about needing to be in control. Sturgess wants Hale to stay close to his family when the Garuda comes. Hale will protect his sister like he always does, he did feel it coming. Bo vows to fight the Garuda, but Sturgess isn’t sure it’s a battle she can win, but he offers his assistance. He’s trying, and he even says goodbye to Kenzi. As they leave, Hale notices his Nona’s fascinator on Kenzi’s wrist. Dyson watches the rest leave.

Bo, Hale and Kenzi celebrate with a bottle of Sturgess’s wine. Bo doesn’t think that there is anything to celebrate, she had an entire room of nobles, and none of them rallied behind her, even with her amazing prop. Hale tells her that he’s willing to throw it all away to fight behind her. Kenzi points out that there are many that will fight, but Hale tells them to not count on Dyson. Nate comes, and Bo and Hale make scarce. Hale tells him he’s a lucky man, and Kenzi tries to give back what’s left of the fascinator. Hale isn’t taking it back, and Kenzi enjoys the gift.

Nadia is still acting all weird. She purposely slices her palms with a knife, tasting her blood. Lauren sees the cut, and rushes to her side. Nadia doesn’t even remember having the knife in her hand, she confesses that she’s scared. As Lauren embraces her, she smiles behind her back.
