HBO Announces Game Of Thrones & True Blood Casts Heading To Comic-Con

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- HBO has revealed its bumper crop of “Game of Thrones” and “True Blood” stars heading to San Diego Comic-Con 2012.

On Friday, the network revealed Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), who hit the Con last year, would again be attending this year’s festivities.

Joining for the first time this year will be Richard Madden (Robb Stark), Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy), Michelle Fairley (Catelyn Stark) and Carolyn Strauss — a “GOT” executive producer.

Executive Producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss won’t be able to make it this year as they are currently in production on the show in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Earlier this week, HBO revealed the producers will actually help direct Season 3.

“Game of Thrones” will host a panel in Hall H on Friday, July 13, one moderated by series author George R.R. Martin. The “GOT” stars will also take part in an autograph session.

Over on the “True Blood” end, Kristin Bauer van Straten (Pam Swynford de Beaufort), Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette Reynolds), Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse), Joe Manganiello (Alcide Herveaux), Christopher Meloni (Roman Zimojic), Stephen Moyer (Bill Compton), Anna Paquin (Sookie Stackhouse), Alexander Skarsgard (Eric Northman), Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte), Rutina Wesley (Tara Thornton) and Deborah Ann Woll (Jessica Hamby) will take part.

“True Blood” will have its Comic-Con panel on Saturday, July 14 in Ballroom 20. The cast will also take part in an autograph session.
