Lost Girl Recap S2E8: Death Didn’t Become Him
Lauren
sneaks Bo into her lab via bodybag, so that she can meet comatose Nadia. Not
because Bo watns to meet her, but because Lauren feels they owe it to Nadia.
Lauren over the girlfriend she just technically cheated on, and Bo puts her
jealousy aside, and vows to help Lauren find out what the nail the Morrigan
gave her means in Nadia’s cure.
A cemetery
groundskeeper comes up some grave robbers in historic garb, and finds himself
lassoed.
Kristoph was
the body dug up, and a distraught Donovan comes to Trick for help. As an old
friend, Trick asks Bo and Dyson for help. Kristoph, in life was a dancer, and
Donovan still blames himself for his death.
Hale weaves
tales of his prowess to a couple of ladies, of bringing down a Behemoth. Dyson
sweet talks Hale, pumping up his ego to take his security detail. Hale takes
the bait hook, line and sinker, even though he’s not fully sure the detail is.
The Glade’s daughter arrives, and Dyson gives Hale the instructions of the
management of Tori.
Bo and Dyson
head to the cemetery, when Dyson picks up the scent, and finds the
groundskeeper’s bodies. Someone was hunting, and took only the sweetmeats. They
head to the fae butcher.
Hale tries
to use the same Behemoth story on Tori, but she’s clearly not impressed.
Luckily for Hale, Kenzi comes blabbering in, and Tori is very interested in
what looks like fun. No one is more fun than Kenzi. Trustfund Barbie takes an
instant liking to free spirit Kenzi. Kenzi sweet talks Hale into loosening the
reigns, and Tori gets to have a little fun.
The Lich
brings back Kristoph’s body, and he’s not the only one. Marksman of the West,
Five-star generals, chefs and others, all for the Lich’s enjoyment. Wielding
creepy magic, he gets Kristoph to dance for his enjoyment.
Dyson and Bo
chat with Gary. Though Dyson can’t technically play bad cop, Gary being dark
fae and all, but Bo certainly can. The two question Gary, but Gary tries to
sidestep the question, until Bo loses her temper, and resorts to a knife. But
it doesn’t loosen his lips, seduction works even worse, making Gary hungry.
Finally Bo threatens a vegetarian lifestyle, and that has Gary’s attention. He
spills the beans, telling Dyson that he butchered the groundskeeper for a Lich.
The species is familiar to Dyson, and its all bad news. Gary reluctantly gives
up the address.
Everyone in
the Dal sit around and watch Kenzi and Tori dance. Hale tries to get the girls
to turn down the music, but Tori refuses. Tori sends Hale out to check in with
dear old mom, and tells Kenzi to cut off the drinks.
The Lich
marvels at Kristoph’s mastery of dancing when Bo and Dyson drop in. Dyson tells
the Lich he failed to sign in with Trick, when he entered the region, but the
Lich tells him that he plans to leave soon. When he notices the couple’s
beauty, particularly Bo’s.
Hale checks
in the Glade, fudging the truth. When he’s done he sees the girls had given him
the slip.
The Lich is
enchanted with Bo, telling her of his longing to meet a succubus, as she takes
in the scenery and players around her.
Before the Lich can lay his hand upon Bo, Dyson stops him, and reveals the
reason for their visit, Kristoph. The Lich can hear Kristoph’s thoughts, tells
them that Kristoph’s marriage was over with his death, but the Lich isn’t ready
to relinquish Bo’s company, and invites her to join him later, but no light fae
allowed. Bo agrees to come back later.
Bo gives
Donovan the news, but he’s not taking it well, even though Kristoph isn’t
technically being hurt. He wants his husband back, end of story. Trick tells Bo
what is known about the Lich, that it’s believed he somehow cheated death and
found a way to put his chi someplace else, but no one really knows for certain.
Bo remembers a painting she saw, and the necklace he was wearing. She decides
to destroy his painting ala Dorian Grey. Trick tells her to bring Kristoph back
as alive as she can, so Donovan can say a proper goodbye
Hale puts
out and APB on his missing charge, when the wolfman overhears, probably one of
those people that he doesn’t want finding out. Hale plays it cool, but she
pulled the trick on him the first time he watched her, and he has a way to
track her.
Dyson snuck
Lauren out of the compound so she could get some info, and be Bo’s backup.
Lauren seems stunned, and almost too hopeful. Bo is a much better person than I
am, I wouldn’t be in her shoes for anything. The two head over to the Lich’s
little party, and he’s happy to have both women there for his little show. When
he raises his dolls, he gets to experience their gifts. He starts the show with
Kristoph.
Kenzi and
Tori took the dance party, drink session back to Kenzi’s place. How was this
not the first place that he looked? The girls are preparing to go clubbing, and
as Kenzi gives Hale the crazy sign, Tori hears her thoughts. Their fun time,
turns not so fun, and Tori tosses her cookies on Hale. Kenzi gets Tori horizontal,
and strips down Hale. She ogles a little too much, and Hale tells her to sober
up the girl.
The Lich
gloats over his artists talents. Bo moves to use her powers on him, but she’s
being watched closely. Lauren moves on with plan B, and the Lich is at first
enticed by her, her reputation proceeds her, but once she shows him the nail,
he turns cold, and tries to focus back on the show.
Donovan
searches through Trick’s things, before finding some sort of dagger. Trick
catches him and stops him. Donovan can’t bear the thought of having his husband
in the Lich’s clutches. Trick reminds his friend how he ended up in his current
position, and implores him to trust in Bo.
Bo, tries to
flatter the Lich, and get him to trade away Kristoph. She threatens to destroy
his painting if he doesn’t release Kristoph.
He refuses, and she stabs the painting. He dramatically dies, but not
really. The girls reevaluate what they know about the Lich and what Trick told
them. Bo think that the Lich has stored his chi in all of his vessels, but the
entourage isn’t wanting to play anymore, and they draw their guns. The Lich
finally gets the show that he’s searched the world for. He wishes to witness a
succubus feed.
Tori does
the whole drunk apology as Kenzi tries to sober her up, but she gives her
coffee, something that is on the no no list, and Tori passes out.
The Lich
orders Bo to suck all the life out of Lauren, and Bo refuses, willing to die
than to kill an innocent. One of the entourage shoots Bo.
Kenzi freaks
over killing the Glade’s daughter. Hale worries over what he’s done as well.
They both freak in their own way. Kenzi smacks Hale for not telling her that
Tori couldn’t drink coffee, and Hale lashes out at her a bit too, for
convincing him to let Tori have fun. Kenzi starts crying, and Hale soothes her,
telling her that it’ll be okay. These two work so well together, shes so high
strung, and he’s so velvety. They’ll figure something out, I doubt she’s really
dead.
The Lich
again tells her to feed, but he threatens her with worse. That if she doesn’t
feed off Lauren, when she dies, he will take her on a rampage, and get to feel
it all first hand. Lauren begs Bo to feed off her too, since she can’t get the
bleeding to stop. Hell, I beg you to feed off Lauren, and put an end to her
character. Nadia is in a coma, she won’t miss her. Bo knows that the Lich
cannot use her like he does everyone else, since her chi and powers are tied
together. He changes tactics, and prepares to carve Lauren up for a meal. Bo’s
injuries get the better of her, and she begins to feed on everyone in the room,
except Lauren. In her scary voice she tells Lauren that she could be more
powerful than everyone, that there would be no light or dark only her, and then
passes out. Lauren tells Bo what she did, and Bo runs to Kristoph. She gives
Kristoph some of his chi back, but the gunslinger refuses desiring release.
Hale and
Kenzi plot new living locations. Hale moves to plan B, to find the Lich.
Bo and
Lauren get the info they need from the Lich about the Nail. Nadia isn’t sick,
just cursed by a shaman. If they can find the stick and Nadia’s nail they can
awaken her. He struggles to get some food, so he’ll live, but Bo kicks it away
from him, condemning him to death. The Lich has experience many things in his
long life, and now he experiences death.
Kristoph is
returned to Donovan, they have their little reunion, and plan to spend their
time at their favorite place for as long as they have. Donovan thanks Trick for
everything. Hale brings Tori back to the Dal, looking for the Lich, but Trick
tells him he’s dead. Dyson sees the “dead” Tori and gives her a shot to the
gut/second heart. Tori is alive and as sassy as ever. Hugs all around for hero
Dyson. Hale begs Tori to not tell her mother about any of their misdeeds, but
Tori knows her mother would take away more privileges from her and she actually had fun. She really enjoyed Kenzi's company, and offers Hale
a deal for Kenzi, but in the end Hale declines Tori's offer. Kenzi is worth too much.
Bo takes
another trip to the lab via body bag, and Lauren plants a very passionate kiss
on Bo. This whole hot and cold thing, I’m so over it, but it looks like we may
get to meet the Dr.’s girl soon.
