Game of Thrones & True Blood confirmed for San Diego Comic Con: One is upgraded, One is Not

HBO just announced Game of Thrones and True Blood will return to Comic Con International in San Diego (SDCC) this year.  In fact, Game of Thrones gets an upgrade to Hall H.  Hall H seats 6,500 and is usually reserved by movie studios.  This is a great honor for Game of Thrones and welcome news for fans that were unable to make it into the panel in the 4,000 seat Ballroom 20 last year. 

But what about True Blood?  It will stay in Ballroom 20 which is a disappointment for fans.  True Blood lines are so long, they wrap around the convention center, then outside and down to the marina.  Many fans camp out just to be one of the first 4000 to grab a seat for the first panel of the day which they don’t care about, disappointing fans of other shows that miss their panels.  Many con- goers hoped HBO would reserve Hall H this year for both Game of Thrones & True Blood.  Now, we will just hope for next year.

Game of Thrones is scheduled for Friday, July 13^th and True Blood on Saturday, July 14^th.
