True Blood Recap: Whatever I Am, You Made Me

We start with a Tara healing, and seeing with her new vampire eyes. It’s almost as trippy as Jason on V from Season 1. Lafayette and Sookie are looking for Tara, but Tara is off in the woods, doing a little hunting. An unsuspecting girl is on the side of the road, but Tara doesn’t hear her words, she grabs the girl easily and smashes her head.

She holds the girl down, but when Tara sees what she's become in her reflection, she lets the girl go.

The Authority argues over the colossal mess that Russell's life has presented them. Roman dismisses all of the counsel members except Salome. The Sanguinistas look to Russell as a savior, and that goes against Roman's agenda. Bill and Eric promise to bring Russell in or die trying and off they go. Roman sends for the new Nan Flanagan, in walks in Steve Newlin.

Sookie goes to Pam for help, but Pam is worried about Eric. She did all that was asked of her, but Sookie has yet to do her part of the bargain. Sookie tells her that she had nothing to do with Eric being missing, that she left both him and Bill. Sookie presses Pam for help, and Pam refuses shoving her. Sookie uses her microwave hands and knocks Pam through the air.

Sam smells someone in the woods, and he thinks it's trouble. Tara comes out of the woods and asks him for help.

Roman poses his Russell problem to Newlin, which is a huge one because of the fact that the public was told that Russell was dead, when he in fact is not. Newlin doesn't see it as much of a problem, the public can be manipulated. Roman doesn't like the fact that he's not taking it too seriously. He tells Newlin just how serious a time they live in, how dangerous the Sanguinistas and Russell are. Newlin promises not to let him down.

Eric and Bill get fitted with a special device to ensure their loyalty. Their fitter tells them to think of it as a training bra. With the touch of an app they turn to goo.

Lafayette worries how to tell Tara's momma that Tara is a vampire. Sookie worries more about Tara surviving the day.

Sam feeds Tara bottle after bottle of True Blood, new vampires are hungry. Sam wants to call Lafayette or Sookie, but Tara is adamantly against it.

The police station is all a giggle as Andy comes in. Andy's sexcapades are all over the internet from the night he spent with Holly. Andy is less than pleased, and the Pelts arrive to talk about Debbie.

Jason shops for pickles, when he runs into Mrs. Steeler, one of his former teachers. There's obviously a little something between them from the past.

Arlene confronts Terry, worried over his past. Terry promises to tell her eventually, but not now. Now he has to go with Patrick and he isn't sure when he'll be back. Lafayette and Sookie come looking for Tara, but Arlene is of no help. Sookie asks Sam, and Sam lies to her. He tries to keep Tara's location from Sookie, but Sookie pulls it out of his mind. She admits she's the reason Tara is a vampire, but nothing more. Sam doesn't hate Sookie for it, he admires it a bit since he was helpless when his brother died. She gives Sam a hug, even if he may be thinking about her boobs. Sookie and Lafayette plan to leave Tara in the freezer, and keep her safe.

Pam sleeps and dreams of Eric. Back in time, Eric comes to visit Pam in her brothel. Pam remembers the girls she found dead, and another of her girls that nearly died. Bill feeds upon a whore as Lorena watches. Eric stops him, and nearly stakes him before Lorena begs him not to. Eric sees the promise in Bill, and Lorena apologizes and promises to get Bill under control. Eric settles a debt with Pam, which starts with a kiss.

Jason tries to pet Mrs. Steeler's cat. Prince charming is a one woman cat, and Mrs. Steeler asks about his lovelife, which hasn't exactly been a smooth ride. Mrs. Steeler regrets their past relationship, she's sorry for all she did to him. Jason regrets nothing, and he puts the moves on her.

Debbie's parents go to Alcide for Debbie's whereabouts. Debbie called home before she disappeared, saying that she was coming home. Alcide told them he abjured her, because she was back on V and screwing the former pack master. Daddy doesn't believe a word,  even goes as far as to threaten him over his precious little girl, ahh daddy's so blind to their little girls but her mother tells him where they're staying if he hears anything knowing that Debbie was no saint.

Andy questions Sookie about Debbie. He even goes as far as to accuse her of being too close to Alcide. Sookie doesn't give him any information, and he bristles a bit about her that Debbie was a V addict comment. Once he's done with her, he asks Holly for a word outside. Lafayette worries about going to jail over all of this, but Sookie tells him to buck up, and don't sweat it.

Outside Andy shows Holly a picture of Debbie, whom she doesn't know. But the picture of Andy's bottom is another story. She apologizes, but Andy isn't mad about it. He asks her to go steady anyways. Holly makes sure he's taken appraisal of her baggage, she's a witch, her kids are delinquents, and she lives in a hotel, and he's not much better, being a former v addict who lives with his grandmother. Sounds like they're a match made in heaven.

Mrs. Steeler screwed Jason on her living room floor, and realizes that it was a huge mistake.

Salome welcomes Bill. She asks if he knows who she is, he knows the stories from the Bible, but they aren't all true. The truth has been skewed, but the main points remain the same. She has a powerful man's ear, and can order the deaths of others. Bill wonders what she wants with him. Salome tells him that she admires his heart, and she wants to help him because something about him moves her. She wants to trust him, or so she claims, which may have been just a way to seduce him. He screws her against the wall.

Jessica looks for a dress to impress Jason. The salesgirl makes it clear that Jason is quite the man whore, and  Jessica sticks up for Jason yet again. A boy walks in and Jessica gets a whiff of him, and she chases poor Claude down, wondering what he is. She's enchanted by his scent, but he gives her the slip.

Hoyt shows up all gothed out with eyeliner to boot, to Fangtasia. Pam sees the desperation all over him, and warns him off, but he wants to be gobbled up.

Pam remembers Eric in the past, when she asked him to change her, to take her life. They talk in bed. Pam wants something more out of life. Eric sees all of the benefits of her life. But Pam knows that her life will end horribly, and Eric tells her that being a maker is not an easy road either. She begs him to make her and leave her, but Eric refuses, such a noble vampire. She takes the choice out of his hands when she slits both of her wrists, telling him to "Let me walk the world with your Mr Northman or watch me die." He drops fang.

Salome welcome's Eric into the room. She knows his and Nora's secret, their connection through Godric. She wonders over his willingness to let Nora die, but he sees no choice, and he sees that she's trying to use him. He turns the tables a little as she talks of her sponsorship of Nora. She offers to heal his wounds, offering her friendship and her body. Eric accepts.

Rosalyn tortures Nora for information with the silver devices they used earlier on Eric and Bill. She asks whom she betrayed the Authority for, the sheriff or the King. Nora doesn't say which but spits plenty of vehemence at Rosalyn.

Jessica bangs on Jason's door. She tells him about the boy she smelled, and it all made her think of Jason. She kisses him, but he's distant. He's finally decided that he no longer wants to be a manwhore. He feels empty, and sex can't make him feel whole anymore. Jessica sees his pain, and offers to just stay and talk. Jason tries to send her away, but she doesn't leave, seeing that he needs a friend more than ever right now.

Tara dreams of killing Arlene. Lafayette tries to feed Tara, but she's less than chipper. Alcide comes to Sookie with news about Debbie, and he immediately knows that something is array, though Sookie plays stupid. Tara causes a ruckus, and she warns them off. Alcide sees that there is more going on than meets the eye.

Eric and Bill discuss their banging of Salome, and wonder over her intentions. Armed G men await them when the elevator doors open.

Roman asks Salome about her findings. She tells him that Bill is still looking for something to believe in, Eric only believes in himself, neither are Sanguinistas. Roman tells her that Nora confessed to being Sanguinista. Roman strips down and Salome prepares for round 3.

Arlene turns her nose at Lafayette for turning Tara. Layfayette poisons the gumbo he's cooking, and sees a demon in the mirror. He dumps the gumbo, and tries to shake off the demon.

Sookie comes clean to Alcide about everything. About the reason for turning Tara, about killing Debbie. Alcide's feelings are more than a little hurt, he's stood by her through everything, and even though Sookie is sorry it doesn't matter at the moment. She asks what he plans on doing, but he walks away in anger.

Tara walks the streets and sees a tanning salon. She climbs inside of a bed, and gives herself one heck of a tan.

Pam types at superspeed, when she feels what her progeny is doing she's less than pleased.
