Lost Girl Recap S2E11: Can’t See the Fae-rest
Kenzi tries
to lure Bo to the darkside for stylish duds, but she remains good, when Ciara
comes out of the store. Kenzi fakes food poisoning, and Bo gets out of the
awkward lunch proposition Ciara presents.
During a snazzy
party, Guy takes a drunk girl into his bedroom, but before she can make her
condom selection, something twists him up, and it sounds nasty and wet. Cue the
screaming.
Dyson and Hale
work the crime scene, and its very similar some others, three in two weeks in
fact. Wealthy, at home, crush bones and asphyxiation. The girl is not a suspect
in Guy’s death. Hale feels its fae related, and Dyson thinks the same. The boys
plan to find a way into the party, that’s not them.
Hale and
Dyson make a hard sell to the girls for the parties. And the opportunity is too
good to pass up, the girls agree, but it means hanging out with a friendly
face, Ciara, She’s more than happy to give Bo the inside scoop about the party
people, as well as a wardrobe. Ciara guilts Bo into at least trying on her
dress, and she does.
At the
party, Leeta gives out a custom gift to the host, Russell. Kenzi plots on the
swag bags, but Bo has other things on her mind. The host makes straight for
Kenzi and Bo, and Bo throws Kenzi straight at him, and its pretty much a match
made in heaven, when he tells her about the snacks in each bathroom. Bo hunts
for Leeta, her likeliest suspect. She “recognizes” Clive, and when they start
to chat, Leeta swoops in. She’s not exactly rude, but she’s tells Bo she can’t
help her with her project, she only deals with mens clothing. Bo asks Clive
about the deceased, Cameron, but he isn’t ready to talk about him, and gets all
twitchy.
Kenzi asks Russell
about Cameron, and he’s more choked up than anything. He doesn’t say much, and
Kenzi has a case of sticky fingers, which leads to Cameron offering to introduce
her to Leeta. Kenzi doesn’t get that introduction, but instead something across
the back of her head. She awakens with a dead Russell draped across her and a
freaked out Clive.
Lachlan
looked over a Peri, a tiny endangered fae, and questions Lauren’s findings. She’s
a bit distracted by Nadia, but Lachlan refuses to budge about his desires.
Kenzi doesn’t
do well in the interrogation room. Ross tries to play bad cop with her, but
Hale comes in to take over. Kenzi spills what really happened. She doesn’t have
much more than the business card holder she found by Leeta.
Bo shares
her sandwich with someone who looks like they need it more than she does,
Maganda. Maganda isn’t making much sense, she’s some sort of tree person, but
she does give her a sort of description. Bo takes her turn in questioning.
Dyson goes over the floor plan, with “Succubus Barbie”, and there’s one name
missing from the party list.
Bo, Dyson
and Ciara go over crime notes, and Ciara thinks that Leeta may be using her own
fae skin to craft her wares. Gross, the idea of a Leeta skin anything is off
putting, but very green. Snake skin seems to be a common denominator, and Ciara
suggests that Dyson goes undercover, and together with Bo, bait Leeta. Both Bo
and Dyson are uncomfortable with the idea, but Ciara thinks it’s the best way
to bring out the predator in Leeta, and the two agree.
Bo and Dyson
meet up with Leeta about a new wardrobe. Leeta instantly pounces on the idea,
but when he mentions Russell, Leeta is suddenly all booked up. Knowing the jig
is up, Dyson resorts to more direct methods, and Leeta bares her fangs and
spits venom at Dyson. She gives chase, and
Bo gets tripped up outside by Maganda. Dyson catches Leeta. They take her back to
the Ash, and rifle through her files. All of the victims on the list happen to
be clients, and Hines, someone whom doesn’t fit her normal clientel.
Clive meets
with Hale and Kenzi, and they question him about Leeta. Leeta has always been
the bright shiny center piece of the party, and subject of Clive’s crush. Hines,
the Cobalt, meets with Dyson and Bo, and there seems to be a dark market for
Leeta’s handicrafts. Leeta gets some rat snacks, and Leeta gets a week from her
sales. Hines doesn’t recognize the victims, and makes a quick break.
Leeta awakens
and Dyson and Hale question her. She loved her clients, and ran because she
thought she was getting busted for selling her own skin.
Ciara enters
the Dal, and for the first time Bo isn’t ready to retreat. She’s taken a liking
to the girl for once. Ciara and Bo talk about mamawatas, which is what Leeta
is. Being not the strangling type, but rather a poisonous one, she’s obviously
too late, just like Kenzi’s call warning Clive. Dyson confirms Clive’s death,
which Kenzi feels responsible for.
Cobalt Hines
is trying to peddle his goods in the Dal, which doesn’t make Trick too happy.
He’s desperate to get his stools, cutting boards and beds off his hands, but Trick
sends the cobalt packing.
Lachlan
doesn’t like Lauren’s Peri findings. Someone is killing them off, and she has a
theory, but she wants something from him first. Lachlan is familiar with the
nail that cursed Nadia. He refuses her requests for upper level access for the
previous Ash’s items. She quits her position, and threatens to take Nadia and
leave, but Lachlan isn’t willing to deal with her tantrum. He has guards take
her away, but he does make a call to have the former Ash’s journals retrieved.
Dyson, Hale,
Bo, Kenzi and Ciara pour over case notes. Besides Kenzi, there’s another person
linked to the victims, the homeless lady, Maganda. Bo recalled that her cart
was filled with wooden goods when she ran into her during Leeta’s flight. Trick
concludes shes a Batibat, a fae who is connected to a single tree, normally peaceful
until their tree is cut down. She needs to keep every single piece, and cannot
help herself when she’s looking for one. Lucky for the group they don’t have to
hunt her down, she appears and gets Dyson in her death grip. Hale’s powers are
not help, Ciara resorts to a fire poker, which does little to help. Bo finds
what Maganda is searching for, Hines’s cane. Bo lures Maganda into Trick’s
vault, so they can track down Hines and get the rest of Maganda’s tree back. Hines
had no clued the wood belonged for a Batibat, but Bo forces him to make it
right. Maganda agrees to stay in custody while Hines collects back every piece
of her tree.
Bo pays
Ciara a visit. She really does have a soft spot for her. She extends her
friendship to Ciara, worried that although she’s with Dyson, she’s lonely. It’s
written plainly. Bo gives her some sound advice, and she takes it. When Dyson
gets home, the dinner for two looks like trouble, and he couldn’t be more right.
Ciara pours out her heart to him, asking him if her will love her back, and
though he promises to give her everything, he doesn’t tell her what is missing
from him.
Maganda
looks happy in her cell with her tree. Bo is thankful for Lachlan’s help and
sends her back up. Little does Bo know, he’s got Lauren in the cell across the
hall.
