In this second installment of Kult, Thomas Zenk continues to have a rough time. A lot of knowledge is dropped into his brain, but he's not really pleased with it.
Machines, Gods, whatever you want to call them, have enslaved mankind. And a rebel few have broken free. Those few are working to find the one who will be able to free them all, and that "one" is Thomas. But to free them he'll have to sacrifice everything he knows and loves, including his daughters to do it.
The premise sounds astonishingly like the Matrix, but without the bending of bullets, at least so far, but with the creatures and the richness of the story it has the potential to be so much more. A lot of backstory is dropped in this issue, and from here it looks like the action will pick up.
It's a good strong start, as long as Kult can distance itself from mirroring what's already been done it looks to be phenomenal. The writing is a little rushed, but the storytelling elements are strong and the are is well done. It's definitely one to keep your eye on.
