Lauren Cohan Promoted to Series Regular on Walking Dead For Season 3

Some great news out of The Walking Dead today, Lauren Cohan has been promoted from featured actor to series regular for Season 3, which will debut this fall.

If you follow our facebook, you'll know that I'm a huge fan of the hot farm girl. Lauren Cohan plays Maggie, the fierce daughter of former farm owner Hershel, who also  happens to be the love interest for fan favorite Glenn, played by Steven Yeun. The actress will have a larger presence in the upcoming episodes, replacing some of the fallen survivors, including Shane and Dale, who did not make it off the farm last season.

Season 3 will consist of 16 episodes split into two separate runs of 8 episodes apiece, which find our lost group taking refuge in an old prison, which if you're a fan of the comics like I am, you absolutely cannot wait for. The farm was fun and all, but the prison, and introduction of the Governor are so much more fun. Bring on the crazy!
