Lost Girl Recap S1E11: Faetal Justice
Dyson goes to visit some Circus Club, looks like the bar
tender did a little back stabbing in the past, and Vex is back. Dyson isn’t
very happy about not getting his way, but he leaves.
Kenzi and Bo try their hand at cooking, but their meal is
less than savory.
Circus club Carpe Nocturne’s Bartender just got taken out by
a wolf. Is Dyson being a bad boy? Oh yes, please. Dyson wakes up in an alley, mouthful of dried
blood, killer headache and dead bartender, which definitely means he was set up, or puppeted.
Bo and Kenzi talk to Trick about Dyson. And then speak of
the devil he appears. Dyson invokes sanctuary. He can’t remember anything after
he left work. The stiff is named Ba’al, he’s one of Vex’s guys, and the Ash
wants Dyson to turn himself in, but they all know if he does he’ll be turned
over to the Dark fae. Bo plans to team up with Hale to find out what happened.
Bo asks to bring the sericon, but the Ash took it, so Bo is going in virtually
unarmed, which should hardly be a problem, since that's how she always goes.
Bo and Kenzi visit Hale, and pump him for information. He
shows her the security footage, and knows that the dark fae are watching him
closely.
Bo and Kenzi set off
to Carpe Nocturne, and zero in on Silas one of the bartenders there that night.
He’s not exactly impartial, and Dyson sounds very guilty. Vex immediately spots
Bo, and cheekily greets her. Vex tells Bo about Ba’al and Dyson’s relationship.
Vex wants to be very friendly with Bo, but she’d rather not, which is a shame, since Vex is awesome. Kenzi stays to
look for another witness, the human, Portia at the fae dance club.
Bo delivers clothes to Dyson, and finally asks about that
delicious tattoo running down his back. It’s souvenirs from wars he’s fought, the lords
he’s sworn fealty to written in lycanthrope. He tells Bo his and Ba’al’s
history. Ba’al was a Red Cap, who went
on a killing spree while the dark fae let it go. Dyson pursued the case, and
Ba’al stuck him with a silver blade and watch as Dyson nearly died. The fae did
nothing, the crimes were against human, Dyson’s attack was unsanctioned and
Ba’al’s retaliation was considered just defending himself. But that doesn’t
give any reason why Dyson was set up. The Morrigan shows up, bitchy as ever.
She wants Dyson, and Bo doesn’t plan to hand
him over. The Morrigan’s goons put up a good fight, but Trick has, well,
a trick up his sleeve and a shotgun full of silver and iron, pretty nasty for
all brands of fae. The Morrigan isn’t too happy that she isn’t getting her way.
Trick is upholding sanctuary whether Dyson wants him to or not, and Bo plans to
solve this case. Dyson asks about Kierans, who can retrieve memories, and
dangerous or not he needs one.
Kenzi spends time at Vex’s club, and finds a goth wannabe.
She closes in on Portia.
Hale and Bo discuss Dyson and Ba’al. Hale doesn’t think his
boy is guilty, but both have many enemies, lots of enemies. They go over what
little they have on the case, and Lauren comes to deliver the results of the
autopsy. Ba’al’s was definitely killed by a canine, but she can’t say exactly
who or what yet. Hale tells Bo he worries about Dyson. He had his doubts about
Bo, since when Dyson cares for someone he gives too much of himself.
Kenzi chats up Portia, and Portia becomes very chatty,
telling her that most of the staff are dicks, besides Silas. She tells her that
the cop did it. The cop went into the alley, then Ba’al, she heard growling and
then saw a wolf, and she’s sure the cop was the wolf.
The Ash visits the Dal. Trick scoffs at the Ash wanting
Dyson to turn himself over, everyone knows that the dark fae will execute him
in short order. The Ash tries to lay the impending war on Dyson’s shoulders.
Trick makes it clear, that Dyson is safe until he leaves, no matter what the
Ash wants. The Ash alludes that this could cost Trick his power hold, but I’m
not thinking that he really knows who Trick is. Silly Deepthroat making petty
threats he can’t possibly carry out on the Blood King. Seriously, he's the freaking Blood King and the way the Ash and the Morrigan treat him is ridiculous, he needs to show them whose boss, even if he just smacks them once or twice with his troll club.
Kenzi brings Portia
to Bo. Portia tells Bo the same story, and although it’s not what they want to
hear, it’s the truth. Kenzi takes Portia home, and Bo heads inside. Silas
confirms Bo’s thought that there was a bit of beef between Vex and Ba’al, and
then Bo finds herself under Vex’s spell as she starts touching herself, and
stripping away her coat. Vex flexes his puppeteering skills, and I’m not too
sure he’s the guilty party in Ba'al's death. He’s got a love hate thing going with Bo, and I
kinda like him.
Meanwhile, the Kieran has arrived, and Dyson is having
second thoughts about letting the drunkard pick through his brain. They go through
the risks, and there’s a good chance he’s going to lose some memories, but
Dyson goes ahead with the process anyways. The Kieran focuses on the day of the
killing. The memories are completely gone.
Portia and Kenzi talk about life. Portia tells her that the
dark fae aren’t so bad, especially not Silas. She strips down for bed, and
Kenzi notices her back is all sliced up, but Portia doesn’t know how it
happened.
Bo calls Hale, Dyson’s last memory is a call he took. He
gives her the number of an art dealer, Lyle Harrison. Dyson doesn’t recognize
the name, so Bo checks it out.
When Kenzi comes back with stuff for Portia’s back, Portia
is gone.
Bo meets up with Lyle and asks him some questions about Vex.
She uses her power of persuasion to see why he called Dyson. Seems Ba’al’s
games had gone too far, and he’d seen Ba’al kill a girl with pink hair whose
eyes glowed when she was hurt. Bo calls Hale, and Hale IDs the girl, a light
fae girl.
Trick calls the Elders, to see how they plan to vote. Dyson
tells him not to throw away friendships for him, and then unable to sit around
any longer Dyson leaves safety to solve his case.
Bo returns home to a panicked Kenzi. Kenzi tells her of the
cuts on Portia’s back. Bo tells Kenzi about the basement sex club, and the
girls set out to find Portia.
Dyson heads to Carpe Nocturne, and confronts Vex. The
Morrigan is waiting with her goons. Bo and Kenzi also make it to the club, and
head to the VIP room. The Morrigan is less interested in the lost memories than
she is in the succubus. Turns out Vex doesn’t know about Bo’s family. Bo and
Kenzi find Portia in one of the rooms, and Bo takes one look at Portia’s
bracelet and she knows who killed Ba’al, and it wasn’t Dyson.
Silas has been
the bad boy. Vex tortures Dyson, and the Morrigan tires of the game, but before
Vex can finish the job Bo and Kenzi come. Bo takes the Morrigan hostage, and
the unveil Sila’s plan. He did it all for love. Dyson came to question Silas
about the light fae girl, that Ba’al killed. Silas saw his chance to lay the
blame on someone for Ba’al’s death. So Silas mixed him a mind wiping cocktail,
knowing Dyson and Ba’al would fight. After their little tiff, Silas waited for
the opportunity, knocked out Dyson, and then killed Ba’al when he had a chance.
Silas made up the story, and made Portia go along with the story. He did it to
save Portia.
Bo and Kenzi take Portia and Dyson, and leave the Dark fae
to do their thing with Silas. The Ash claims he’s happy over the outcome, saying
the dark found the killer. Bo makes the Ash feel less than welcome, but before
the Ash leaves, he makes it clear that he and Trick are further divided than he
hoped. Dyson thanks Trick for all he almost sacrificed for him. Trick makes him
promise to not make it a regular occurrence.
Kenzi offers Portia a spot on her couch, but Portia declines,
she getting away, and starting over. Kenzi makes a new friend, and Dyson thanks
Bo properly. She never doubted his innocence.
