Lionsgate Marks The Occasion With #HungerGames12 Fan Initiatives Including Yahoo! Live Stream Of The World Premiere, Fandango Gifting, And IMAX Ticket Giveaways

SANTA MONICA, CA (March 12, 2012) – With less than twelve days to go until the film’s release, Lionsgate celebrates the final milestone in the countdown with #HungerGames12.

As part of the celebration, Yahoo! will be live streaming the film’s red carpet World Premiere from the Nokia Theater at LA Live, Fandango kicks off their 12 days of gifting, and by searching #HungerGames12 on Twitter, fans can find IMAX ticket giveaways for opening day.

Fandango:

Fandango will be hosting a sweepstakes for 12 days of daily countdown gifting – prize packs include a Fandango gift card, Hunger Games gear from Café Press, and codes for an exclusive in-game item for the upcoming Facebook game The Hunger Games Adventures. IMAX:

Four pairs of opening day tickets to IMAX screenings in 12 markets will be given away.  Tickets will be offered via Twitter as part of a re-tweet contest every half hour following the launch of #HungerGames12, as well as through select fan sites who will be hosting giveaways.  Search #HungerGames12 to see how you can win!

Fans will get to experience the energy of the red carpet as if they were there.  Viewers will be able to watch the stars arrive, see their fashion choices and listen in on A-List interviews with a cast that includes Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Elizabeth Banks to name a few. Fans can start submitting their questions now via Twitter and Facebook using #HungerGameLIVE. Questions will be answered LIVE on the red carpet.
