Lost Girl Recap S1E8: Vexed
A yummy and sweaty Dyson gives a bag a major beating, while a bloody Bo finds her way
to his doorstep. He tries to turn her away, but her begging brings out his
animal, and there's nothing like a little sexual healing. Dyson is reluctant to
ask the circumstances that brought Bo to his doorstep. Poor guy wears his heart on his sleeve, but Bo is so blind to it. She tailed a client, who
turned out to not be a alone as she thought and the sexy succubus earned herself a beat down for her efforts. Dyson tries to get be there for her,
and she throws Lauren in his face. It’s a sore spot for the two of them. Bo
doesn’t want to see what’s in front of her face where Lauren is concerned, and
Dyson tells Bo this is the last time he’ll heal her. He claims it's for her
good, but it’s for his too.
Bo tries to harp on Dyson to Kenzi, but Kenzi isn’t on her
side on this issue, someone still has their Team Dyson shirt in the back of her closet. They break into an old theater for a meeting, and find
their guy already dead, hanging from a noose. Or, not as dead as they thought
it turns out. Siegfried is a vampire from the looks of things, and from the bag
of blood Bo brought. He claims to have information of her mother, and he dangles the carrot in front of her in the form of an article that’ll lead Bo to her mother. she has to act fast though, the article is about a baby killer,
Luanne, who’s set to be executed in three days.
Bo visits Dr. Lauren for a physical, and she plays it
cutesy. Lauren tries to pump Bo for information, and Bo tries to imply she’d
like Lauren to be her first human. Dyson comes up in the conversation, and Bo
admits that he had been healing her, and Lauren implies that Dyson has been
around a few blocks. Such a cheap and petty shot for her to deliver. Run away Bo, she's nothing but trouble.
Kenzi and Bo go to visit Luanne, and they get through
security with little issue. Bo immediately recognizes that the woman is fae.
She claims to know nothing about Bo’s mother, and when Bo mentions Siegfried’s
name the woman pauses just long enough that it raises red flags for Bo.
Siegfried has a little bit of company, from someone much
stronger than he is, and he grinds up his own hand in the garbage disposal.
Dyson takes a gander, and Bo crosses the police lines. Bo tells Dyson about her meeting with Luanne,
and he already knew she was dark fae. She tells him if he’ll get her Luanne’s
file and she finds nothing she’ll drop the issue. He tells her she just used up
her last favor, and with that the Dyson well is all dried up. A shame, they
have good chemistry, but we know it won't be dried up forever. The Dyson well is a little tempermental but it always delivers when she needs it to, its just a matter of how long are these two going to be separated.
Luanne’s file yields nothing helpful at first glance. She
drowned her step kids, then set the house on fire.
Siegfried’s heart was cut
out while he was still alive, which brings on the question of what type of Fae
could get close enough to the vampire without restraining or drugging him.
She goes back to see Luanne, proclaiming she knows of her
innocence. Someone was playing puppet master, and Bo plans to find out who. She
tries to get Luanne’s story. Luanne fell in love with a human, she tried to cut
her ties with the fae world to protect them, but it all backfired. Bo offers to
meet with the Ash on her behalf.
Lauren set up the meeting, but there’s much she hasn’t told
the Ash about her work with Bo. Bo goes to the Ash on Luanne’s behalf. The Ash
doesn’t plan on stepping in on Luanne’s behalf, because Mr. Deepthroat is a pretentious prick and he sucks. If he has a good motive for acting like an Ass Clown I just haven't seen it yet. Bo is forced to head to the
Dark fae to help Luanne, which brings her to Mayer’s door. Mayer warns her off
of Luanne. He tells her that everyone is united on this front. Bo wants to know
who is behind the killings even if no one is willing to help her get Luanne
out.
Bo comes home to Kenzi playing video games. She goes in for
a hot soak, Kenzi misses the ambush coming. Luckily Bo is prepared, kinda.
Little miss dreadlocks still manages to toss Bo around a bit, until Kenzi’s
game is interrupted by a cracked ceiling. Gosh I hate when that happens. Kenzi’s appearance makes Dreadlocks
pause long enough for Bo to spear and electrocute her.
Dyson takes a look at the body, and tells her it’s not an
official hit. She has no side, no protection. And she doesn’t want to hear what
he’s telling her. He offers to let her stay with him, to heal her, and she views
his olive branch as pity, which of course makes her go all volcano and erupt. Kenzi saw it for what it was, but smartly held her
tongue.
Bo finds herself at the Dal, to speak with Trick. She asks
him about the Morragh, Little Miss Dreadlocks.
The Ash meets with Lauren about Bo. He knows about the
naughty Dr, and he assumes its to build a strong relationship for the light
fae’s benefit. He tells her that the fae Bo seeks is called Vex, he’s a
favorite of the dark fae. The dark will kill Bo if she causes problems, and
he’s not ready for that. He plans to have the Morrigan send Vex away while
Lauren distracts Bo.
Bo finds a medallion similar to the one Lauren wears, and
asks Trick about it. He tells her that Lauren doesn’t work for the Ash, he owns
her in exchange for protection. She mentions she wishes there were some sort of
book to keep track of all the type of fae, as Trick brings one out. Trick asks
Bo, about what she feeds off of, and Bo says Sexual Chi. The Morragh feeds off of
rage. He tells Bo “it’s not about losing control, its about taking it.” Until
she has control he gives her the sericon, a sword made of unicorn horn, to assist her in her task. It’ll
hurt any fae, and protects the bearer from corruption.
Lauren comes to visit
Bo, after Luanne drops her appeal. Lauren doesn’t understand why Bo is taking
the news so hard. Bo sees their similarities, and how Lauren lost her fight. Bo’s
not sure if she wants to be normal, but doesn’t want anyone to tell her that
she can’t be, she wants the right to chose. Lauren kisses her, and Bo pulls
away. But Lauren is insistent, saying that she trusts her. And Bo finally beds
the good doctor. Afterwards, Bo is quick to go after Luanne, but Lauren asks her to
leave the case alone, and Bo finally sees that Lauren does indeed have an
agenda, and that she slept with Bo to distract her for the Ash. Lauren is more
owned by the Ash than Bo wanted to believe. The betrayal in Bo’s heart runs
deeply, and although Lauren doesn’t see it as wrong, Bo does. And she’s done
playing nice, lets hope she doesn't run into another Morragh, she'd be quite the meal at the moment.
Bo goes to Mayer looking for Vex. She calls in her debt, even though Mayer warns her off Bo refuses to be deterred. Luanne prepares to meet
her fate with Trick watching. And Bo prepares to meet Vex armed to the teeth.
Vex is prepared for her though. Vex immediately turns the tables on Bo.
Lauren turns to Dyson, and tells him about Vex, whose a
Mesmer, which means he's a kick ass pupetmaster who's about to make Bo his plaything. Dyson runs to her rescue. This guy seriously needs a white horse to assist with all his damsel rescuing.
Vex toys with Bo, but Bo isn’t playing fair as she draws the
sericon. Vex knows the goods on her mother, or so his says, just like everyone else. I'm getting really tired of that being the saving grace, stop pulling the mommy card. Dyson stops Bo before she goes all
red queen on Vex, and she draws the blade on Dyson, even though he’s protecting
her. Dyson lets Vex go, and Bo is left with no clues on her mother.
In the morgue, Luanne awakens. Trick is waiting to have a
little chat.
