NYCC: Marvel's Daredevil Brings New Characters and Teases for Season 3

With the "Daredevil" season 3 premiere coming up fast (October 19), Netflix sent the cast and crew to Madison Square Garden to put on a panel for New York Comic Con attendees. From familiar faces Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock), Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), and new additions Jay Ali (Agent Rahul "Ray" Nadeem), Joanne Whalley (Sister Maggie), and Wilson Bethel (Agent Benjamin "Sex" Poindexter), there are many excellent performances to look forward to, the most latter of which received an extra tease in a brand new trailer:

Yes, that's right! Your eyes aren't fooling you. As confirmed by the panelists, season 3 will introduce the iconic villain Bullseye (last seen in live-action portrayed by Colin Farrell). This time, actor Wilson Bethel will be taking on the role and in order to get into the Comic Con spirit, he emerged with a crudely drawn on bullseye in the centre of his forehead.

The return of Wilson Fisk as a more prominent figure will also prove highly dynamic, since he spent season 2 mostly locked up in prison while other characters maintained a larger presence in the ongoing stories.

With 4000 fans in attendance at the panel, and even more tuning in worldwide via social media posts and other updates, the anticipation for this latest season is downright palpable.

Season 3 begins with Matt Murdock having been missing for months since his supposed death in the season finale of the crossover series "The Defenders". When he finally does return to the public, or at least to those he was once close to, his spirit is very much broken from his accumulated traumas. The catalyst towards Matt deciding whether to return to heroism is the release of Wilson Fisk from prison. There is no doubt that Fisk poses a danger to the well-being of those who reside in Hell's Kitchen, and it is up to Matt to stop him.
