A Gala Presentation of the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival, INESCAPABLE stars Alexander Siddig (CAIRO TIME) as Adib Abdel Kareem.  In January 2011, before the Arab Spring begins to take hold in Syira, Kareem had made the perfect life for himself in Toronto: beautiful wife, two grown daughters and a great job.  Confident, his Syrian background was kept hidden only by a slight accent and his daughters' names, Muna and Leila, he is a man who had left his past behind.  Until his daughter, Muna disappears in Damascus and his past catches up to him at a blink of an eye.

With the help of Fatima, an ex-lover played by Marisa Tomei (CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE) and Paul, a Canadian Diplomat played by Joshua Jackson (FRINGE), Kareem must confront his past to save the life of his daughter during a time of Syria's political unrest.

INESCAPABLE is the third feature from critically acclaimed Canadian filmmaker, Ruba Nadda, who's previous film CAIRO TIME won the best-reviewed "Romance" of 2010 on Rotten Tomatoes.

INESCAPABLE, from IFC FILMS, will be released in theaters in NY @ IFC Center & LA @ NOHO 7 on February 22nd and VOD on February 25th.
