SYNOPSIS:

The worldwide phenomenon of The Hunger Games continues to set the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage. The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 is directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig and produced by Nina Jacobson's Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the third in a trilogy written by Suzanne Collins that has over 65 million copies in print in the U.S. alone.

New York (September 4, 2014) – Magnolia Pictures announced today that they will be launching FRANK on iTunes and On Demand this Friday, September 5th.  Now in theaters across the country, FRANK is a charming comedy starring Michael Fassbender as an outsider rock musician who notably sports a giant paper-mache head that he never removes. 

FRANK had its coming out party here in early August, where the cast members reunited for a performance of the climactic song from the film, “I Love You All”, at its premiere at the Westway club in NYC. The next night, they reprised their performance on the Colbert Report, head and all, following a very funny interview with Colbert and Fassbender.

Directed by Lenny Abrahamson, FRANK also stars Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars: Episode VII) as Jon, a young wannabe musician who discovers he's bitten off more than he can chew when he joins a band of eccentric pop musicians led by the mysterious and enigmatic Frank (Fassbender) and his terrifying sidekick, Clara (Maggie Gyllenhall). Frank’s uniqueness lies in the fact that he makes music purely for the joy of creating…and because he wears a giant fake head. After a rocky start, Jon ingratiates himself with the band members, and they retreat to a cabin in the woods to record an album. The Agreement Includes 18 All-New Episodes and 

Rights to Current and Future Seasons of the Series.

WEST PALM BEACH, September 3, 2014 – ION Television today announced its latest partnership with leading independent studio Entertainment One Television (eOne), reaching an agreement for new original episodes of “Saving Hope.” Produced by eOne and ICF Films in association with CTV, season three of the medical drama series recently began production on 18 new episodes in June. The deal, which includes rights to existing seasons one and two, makes ION the exclusive original U.S. television network for current and future seasons of the series.

In “Saving Hope,” the Hope Zion Hospital is left in chaos when its charismatic Chief of Surgery, Charlie Harris (Michael Shanks), falls into a coma, putting his fiancé and fellow surgeon, Alex Reid (Erica Durance), in a state of shock. Along with newly arrived star surgeon, Joel Goran (Daniel Gillies), Reid races to save Harris' life. As the action unfolds, the comatose Harris explores the hospital halls in the form of a spirit, questioning whether or not he is a figment of his own imagination. Reid, along with her fellow doctors, press on to save his life and the lives of others as they deal with the complicated and courageous decisions that are made in their daily struggle to keep hope alive. The series also stars Huse Madhavji, Julia Taylor Ross and Kristopher Turner.

The brand new final poster for Dead Snow II: Red vs. Dead, the sequel to the 2009 horror film Dead Snow which was the first Norwegian movie of its genre to be selected to the prestigious Sundance Film Festival is here! The film is directed by Tommy Wirkola, who helmed Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, and stars Norwegian actor Vegar Hoel as Martin, the sole survivor of the first Dead Snow’s zombie bloodbath. Martin Starr, currently of HBO’s Silicon Valley fame, co-stars alongside Hoel and Norwegian actor Orjan Gamst, who plays the evil zombie warlord Herzog.

While an obvious homage to classic zombie movies like Evil Dead and Braindead, Dead Snowintroduced a new element to the genre, by giving the dead zombies an agenda. Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead takesthings even further, giving the world's favorite monsters not just a Nazi agenda, but a desire for revenge.

Yet again...another YA novel has been adapted for the big screen. This time, it's a teen drama...the second of two that has been released this year, The Fault in Our Stars being the first. This film based on Gayle Forman's novel of the same title centers on the life and loves of a musically gifted young woman portrayed by Chloë Grace Moretz.

Although I haven't read the book...yet! I found the movie to be touching and realistic in regards to the coming of age of any young person having to make life decisions that will have a direct impact in their future. But, this time, for Mia Hall, the one major decision she has to make is life or death. Plus, her decision will not only impact her fate, but also impact the lives of the people who loves her. The film takes the audience on a journey of flashbacks of Mia's life while she lays comatose while her "spirit" self contemplates all that has happened before and up to the accident.

I found the cast, especially Chloë Grace Moretz and Jamie Blackley, to be convincing and true bringing the characters of the story to life. The soundtrack itself was fitting and beautiful to tell this tale. I found tears falling from my eyes during different parts of the movie...yes, I was close to bawling my eyes out...haha! Although it does romanticize teen relationships, it still keeps it real in regards to the coming of age of teens when it comes to make life and future decisions.

Although Hollywood has glamorized the real issues of growing up for teens in life and love, If I Stay is definitely a heartwarming, coming-of-age teen drama that many teens will be able to relate to...in various aspects of growing up. I feel that... this film can definitely be enjoyed by teens, as well as adults, in the sense that the characters are realistic and relatable.

If I Stay is definitely filled with a lot of feels... A tear-jerker, I would say.

Deaton saves a girl named Calissa from being killed by a psychopathic supe named Patrick. Deacon doesn't kill him, only promising to return him to Eichen House. At Eichen House, Deaton visits a dangerous patient named Dr. Valek in order to get information on Kate Argent, the bone woman, and what they did to Derek and why he's dying. Valek reveals that he has a hole drilled in his head. He tells Deacon to come a little closer and have a look. Deaton does so and we see an extra eye in the hole that supposedly gives Valek extra-sensory abilities.

Scott comes home and Melissa confronts him about the money that he has found. She knows it belongs to Derek but he has yet to return it. Scott admits that he has had it too long and had planned on giving it back. He admits that he held onto it because of her financial struggles. Melissa is guilt-ridden and tells him that though he can save people's lives, he can't save them from life. As always, Scott has good intentions but Melissa makes her point by showing that the money literally has blood on it.

Liam is suffering from nightmares about the Berserkers. Scott later warns him that though he's free to keep away from the pack, he shouldn't push his friends away too. Later, during a lacrosse game, Liam suffers from a vision of a Berserker and it allows the other team to score.

Derek and Braeden are enjoying some post-coital spooning when the alarm goes off letting them know someone is headed their way. They grab some guns and when they open the door, a rain-drenched Lydia lets out a Banshee scream.

Scott returns the money to Derek, who isn't mad about the delay in doing so, saying that even an Alpha can be tempted. Derek then says that the money is Peter's and that his own money went into buying the building he currently lives in. Scott assures Derek that if anyone can find an answer to why Derek's dying, it's Deaton.

Deaton wakes in a dank room full of bones that are also weapons. In actuality, his body is catatonic in Ichen House.

Argent tracks Peter down in the sewers and has to fight off a Berserker, which ends up overpowering him. Peter then impales and traps him with a piece of metal. Later, Argent is rescued by Deputy Parrish who is unable to get the metal free by himself and coaches Argent into getting angry, thus releasing adrenaline that will help him to break free.

Scott takes Kira on their first real date. She brings along Star Wars for them to watch, at the request of Stiles since he's never seen it. But they don't end up watching it, choosing instead to get their mack on while surrounded by dangling lights. However, the date is interrupted by Kate and a Berseker crashing in and attacking. A brutal fight ensues in which Scott and Kira are overpowered. Scott asks what Kate wants. She says she wants insight into her family, saying that her family has a great legacy but now it has been decimated by a teenage boy, "What the hell is so special about Scott McCall?" Scott offers himself up to her but she says they're all going to church.

Sheriff Stilinski tells Stiles that their debt to Eichen House has been wiped clean since Stiles and Lydia were almost killed there. To celebrate, he offers to take Stiles and Malia out for dinner. Later at the lacrosse game, Peter comes to meet Malia and tells her that he has found her mother, the Desert Wolf. To get the information from him, all she needs to do is kill Kate Argent.

Kira wakes up trapped in an unknown location. Scott does the same but he is chained up and surrounded by Berserkers. Kate is standing over him and promises that she is about to turn him into something unrecognisable and that the gang will not know what they're fighting… or killing… and places a mask created from a skull on Scott as he screams.

Teen Wolf airs on Mondays on MTV at 10PM.
