UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - March 20, 2014 - After eight extraordinary seasons that included the series’ 100th episode and a two-hour musical, Universal Cable Productions’(UCP) and USA Network’s original scripted comedy series from Steve Franks, “Psych” will end its successful run on Wednesday, March 26. To commemorate this momentous occasion, leading Hollywood collectibles auction site ScreenBid will host an exclusive online auction of about 200 props and memorabilia straight from the set of “Psych.”  Launching on March 21, the auction will run for seven days, and will include a live auction of the “Blueberry,” the show’s iconic 2004 Toyota Echo, on the “Psych After Pshow” airing directly after the series finale on USA Network.  UCP’s proceeds on all sales will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association which was personally selected by Creator/Executive Producer Steve Franks.

Fans, affectionately known as “PSYCH-Os,” will be able to bid among many items including wardrobe worn by main cast, watches, jewelry and business cards; Gus’(Dulé Hill) “Star Trek” style visor and Shawn’s (James Roday) iPhone case.

The Two-Hour Special Musical Event Features Santa Barbara’s Finest Singing and Dancing Along with Special Guest Stars Ally Sheedy, Tony Award Winner Barry Bostwick, Anthony Rapp, Brooke Lyons and Jimmi Simpson.

On Sunday, December 15, USA Network’s hit series PSYCH presents a spectacular two-hour musical special, PSYCH THE MUSICAL. Fans have been waiting years for this musical extravaganza that will have everyone’s favorite faux psychic, his best friend and the Santa Barbara Police Department’s finest all kicking up their heels and singing 14 original songs.

In the special, Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dulé Hill) dive into a world that's equal parts mystery and melody.  The duo must track down playwright and mad man, Z (guest star Anthony Rapp, “Rent”), who six years earlier was deemed criminally insane after trapping a critic in the theater and burning it to the ground.  With little to go on, they are forced to consult with the one person Z confided in while institutionalized -- a dangerous and familiar villain from Shawn's past.  Their informant uses songs and cryptic clues to reveal Z’s next steps. 


PSYCH creator/executive producer Steve Franks wrote and directed PSYCH THE MUSICAL, and along with music composer Adam Cohen, co-wrote the 14 original songs and reprises.  The music and lyrics were recorded in part on the iconic Sinatra stage at Capital Records in Los Angeles. In addition to Rapp, guest stars include Ally Sheedy (“The Breakfast Club”) who returns as the infamous Mr. Yang, Tony Award Winner Barry Bostwick (“Cougar Town”), Brooke Lyons (“2 Broke Girls”) and Jimmi Simpson (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) plus Kurt Fuller (“Midnight in Paris”) who recurs as Woody the coroner.

The cast of Psych once again invaded San Diego Comic Con, and I was lucky enough to get into the press room with them as they talked about the most anticipated episode, none other than Psych: The Musical. Although I'll have to wait to see this epic episode along with everyone else, there were plenty of inside questions about it. Check back to this page as we add in more videos all week!

The lucky group I was in got the amazing Cary Elwes all to ourselves. So while everyone else had him with James and Dule, we were lucky enough to bombard him with a few questions outside of Psych, about some of his most memorable works, and probably my favorite ones! No matter what role he's in he'll always be Westley in my heart!

SAN DIEGO – July 18, 2013 – PSYCH-O’S have spoken!  USA Network today unveiled the victor of the first-ever PSYCH fan vote determining the storyline of a new episode for PSYCH’s eighth season. The announcement was made at Comic-Con, during the network’s fifth annual PSYCH panel discussion. PSYCH-O’s came out in full force, with “A Nightmare on State Street” racking up more than 50% of votes to make it the indisputable champion. From acclaimed director and series star, James Roday ("Mr. Yin Presents…", "Heeeeere's Lassie"), comes a new vision in terror, where an exhausted Gus (Dulé Hill) enters dream therapy to understand the cause of his recent night terrors. But after dream therapy, nothing is ever again what it seems... ·      TELETHON - In a classic "whodunit?” case with a PSYCH twist, Shawn and Gus investigate a murder that Shawn is convinced was committed by the beloved host of Santa Barbara's annual Children's Hospital Telethon. There's only one problem – the host was seen by hundreds of thousands of people on live television during the exact time the murder occurred elsewhere. Can Shawn steal the show, poke a hole in this rock-solid alibi, and prove the host did it? Or will Shawn fail in front of his biggest audience yet?
