Sun is at the Bak gala listening to her brother give a speech spinning the narrative of him being the grieving brother/son while his sister is the guilty one. After he finishes the speech, Sun grabs a knife, prepared to go after him for what he has done. But then Detective Mun arrives with other officers, intent on arresting Joong-ki. Joong-ki pretends he's willing to go with Mun, only to draw out a hidden gun and shoot Mun in the abdomen, pretending it was his sister. It isn't until his security is trying to get him out of the building that he actually spots her and orders his men to kill her. Sun makes it out of the building by fighting off the security with the help of the other skilled fighters in her cluster.

Sun makes it out into the parking structure when Kala uses her smarts to blow up a car. Joong-ki flees in a car while Nomi, Bug, and Amanita close the security gate. When Joong-ki demands that it be opened, Nomi speaks to him through the communication system and tells him he needs to confess to his crimes or the gates won't be opened. When Joong-ki sees Sun coming, he backs up far enough to ram through the gate. Capheus helps Soon hot-wire a motorcycle to chase Joong-ki through the city streets. Wolfgang helps Sun grab an iron rod so once she catches up to Joong-ki, the rod is slammed through his window and then the steering wheel, leading the car to flip over.

A badly bleeding Joong-ki crawls out of the car, still trying to get away from Sun. As she makes her way over to him, she ponders everything she has been through from her wrongful imprisonment, the murder of her father, and all the love she has felt from her mother as a girl. Her cluster walks in formation behind her, prepared to support her through whatever happens next. Joong-ki begs her to spare his life, promising to confess. Police officers drive up as Sun tells him he is no longer her brother. She prepares to kill him but ultimately decides to spare him. Police take her into custody and an important politician, Tae Park, is seen speaking with Joong-ki and leading him away. It's unclear what his involvement in the situation is.

Her cluster sits with her in the armored truck where Will helps her get out of her cuffs. Nomi, Bug, and Amanita hack the road and traffic light system so the truck she's in is hit by another larger truck. It flips on it's side and the doors swing open. Sun was able to brace herself to the best of her ability but it still injured by the crash. She struggles out of the truck and upon getting out on the street, Riley's sensate contact Puck shows up on his motorcycle and drives Sun away.

Nomi and Amanita lie in bed, reflecting on everything that they've been through but remain committed to one another. Amanita proposes to Nomi, having already bought a ring and been waiting for the right time to do so, prompting Nomi to reveal a box and a ring of her own. She proposes back and they both accept.

Capheus wakes at his mother's stomach. She is making him food and he is startled by the appearance of multiple sensates (whom his mother cannot see). They were suspicious that he might be one of them after his first big battle against the bandits but now after his political speech, they have decided to reveal themselves to him so they can have their own local community to sensates.

Rajan returns home to Kala, who shows him the present Ajay dropped off. Rajan panics and doesn't let her open it, demanding to know if it's been x-rayed. The head of his security says it has. He opens it, and it's revealed to just be an expensive decoration depicting a religious deity. Rajan is shaken by the gift and the card so he finally reveals to Kala that he's being investigated for a large political corruption case that Ajay is also part of. He tells Kala he wants her to move to a flat in Paris he purchased secretly so she can stay out of harm's way until things are calmer.

Puck and Sun hide out in her love-motel room. He tries to proposition her for sex but backs off when she violently twists his toe. Sun watches the news story about the night's events, and learns that Detective Mun is still alive but in critical condition. The cluster demands Puck use his connections to help them fight. Puck wants to leave, saying he's a lover, not a fighter. Another sensate appears to Puck and warns him he needs to get away from the cluster and get on blockers 24/7. He tells the group that he's been quarantined because the Cannibal (Whispers) is hunting.

Wolfgang and Kala are packing up their belongings in their respective apartments. They begin to visit one another. Kala explains why she hasn't told Rajan about them yet, with this investigation he's involved in. Kala asks Wolfgang to clarify her confusion regarding what their relationship is, since they have felt a great deal for one another without actually meeting each other in person. She wants to know something true. Wolfgang opens up about the depth of his feelings for her, professing his love for her. She tells him she loves him too and they decide to meet in Paris. The moment is interrupted by Lila visiting Wolfgang. She reveals she has sold Wolfgang out to Whispers, whose men barge in at that moment. Wolfgang shoots some of them but others tase him into submission. Whispers walks in and looks Wolfgang in the eye. Lila gloats as Wolfgang is sedated. Kala panics and reaches out to the rest of the cluster to say that Whispers has gotten Wolfgang.

Will reveals that he has a plan but they will need more blockers. Kala gets to work preparing a larger supply of blockers. The rest of the cluster begins to pack up so they can all meet up physically in London. Wolfgang wakes in Whispers' custody with the after-memory of Angelica apologizing to him for his captivity. Whispers has Wolfgang connected to Angelica's "Traceworks" technology. Wolfgang tells Whispers he's going to kill him but he is injected with something painful and each cluster member experiences the painful sensations of Wolfgang being shocked repeatedly with electric paddles. Through this torturous experience, Whispers is able to hack into Wolfgang's mind and learn Kala's identity. Wolfgang passes out from the torture while the rest of his cluster boards their flights to London.

Wolfgang is repeatedly tortured and the cluster suffers together under the pain of the sensations. Lila also visits Wolfgang to gloat. Whispers uses these torture sessions to get the names of the rest of the cluster members and where they are hiding. Will visits Jonas to try to get his help but Jonas has no help to offer, believing that the only way out of Whispers' clutches is suicide. Will meets in the secret room with Whispers, offering to turn himself in on the condition that Riley be spared. Whispers remains undeterred in his efforts to hunt down the entire cluster. Will then reveals that he is physically present in the secret room and Whispers can't visit Will because he's on blockers. Jonas tries to tell Will to stop what he's doing but can only visit Whispers because of Will being on blockers. Will beats Whispers into falling unconscious while the rest of the cluster goes to where Jonas is staying to knock him out and kidnap him as well. Through a coordinated effort, the cluster is also able to sneak Whispers out of the BPO facility. In the car they are driving out, they all gather with Whispers and Jonas as their prisoners. Will speaks to an unconscious Whispers, declaring war.

Kala has engineered some new blockers which now need to be tested. She speaks with Riley, who is considering coming to India after London. Will is still grieving after losing his father. Kala enquires about what it's like to be with Will, undoubtedly brought on by her own curiosity of what it would be like to be with Wolfgang in person. Riley comforts Will through their connection as she continues her journey back to London.

Kala visits Wolfgang who has been hiding out from the dangers in Berlin. She opens up about her conflicted feelings. Despite her strong feelings of Wolfgang she doesn't want to hurt Rajan. But the intensity of her connection to Wolfgang cannot be denied. Wolfgang offers to come to Bombay, saying that it's time for them to put aside what's right or wrong and only focus on their relationship. She says that they can't be together in Bombay so they can meet somewhere else to start their life together. But first she needs to tell Rajan the truth about what is happening to her since she feels she owes him the truth.

Whispers appears to Will and taunts him about the death of his father until Will manages to take one of the blockers he still has.

Sun has her first staff meeting in her disguise as one of the cocktail waitresses for the Bak banquet. Lito has been flown to Hollywood with Hernando and Daniela where he must meet audition for the film's producer. Lito is stressed by the fact that he needs to help Sun impress her employer by making him a Sidecar, despite being in the middle of his audition. Once he has paused long enough to help her with her task, Sun visits him and helps him channel the right emotions of being alone in the scene so he can nail his delivery. The producer is impressed and gives Lito the part.

Lito visits Capheus, who is nervous about giving his first major speech as a political candidate. The speech doesn't start off badly but eventually violence breaks out because of agitators planted there to disrupt the scene. Riots break out and one of his assigned security officers tries to kill him. Will and Sun intervene to fend off the man's attacks and Githu, the bandit leader whom had visited Capheus before to warn him of danger shows up in time to shoot the man in the head before he can shoot Capheus. He then helps Capheus get to safety by stealing a car and holding Capheus at gunpoint as he drives them away from the rally. He has Capheus drop himself off at his mother's place where everyone is waiting for him. Githu had been working for Capeus' political opponent Mandiba but does not like to be tamed by someone disconnected from their way of life. All of Capheus' loved ones assure him that the people heard the power of his message and are well aware that the disruptions were caused by Mandiba's men.

Will prepares himself to move forward with his new plan to take on Whispers, while Sun prepares herself to attend the Bak gala. Riley reunites with Will in London, who welcomes her home. Sun stands inside the gala, watching discretely as her brother enters the building and joins in on the festivities. The cluster all visits to help Sun through what comes next.

Nomi and Amanita attend the pre-wedding dinner for Nomi's sister. They aren't assigned to sit at the same table since Nomi has to sit with her family as part of the wedding party. Nomi considers faking a headache to leave early. Her mother comes over and tries to encourage her to fake a headache and leave early without giving a speech. This prompts Nomi to decide to stay and give her speech. She gives a moving, honest speech about their relationship and how Teagan was the first person she saw after her trans surgery.

Riley, Will and Diego track down the house of the BPO employee that provided them with Whispers' location but must sneak around back to get inside when no one answers the door. They discover equipment from early BPO experiments and eventually discover the body of the woman who contacted them. She had committed suicide.

Capheus is chased by two men in the supermarket and runs to get away from them. He manages to knock down one of the men and demands to know why they are following him. He reveals that they have been sent by Silas Kabaka as hired protection. Capheus visits Kabaka to ask about his reasoning for this. Kabaka says that he knows Nairobi well enough to know that there is a bounty on Capheus' head because he is running against Mandiba. He wants Capheus to stay safe in this election, since if he does well in his first speech then the bounty will only rise. Capheus wants to know if he's only hiring protection to further his own business interests but Kabaka reveals that he is in love with Capheus' mother which makes Capheus family by extension since he intends to propose marriage to her.

Nomi's sister's wedding is underway but Agent Bendix is shown to be waiting outside for Nomi to arrive. He storms in and interrupts the wedding ceremony just as the 'I do's are about to happen. Agent Bendix has additional men and law enforcement in tow, demanding to arrest Nomi Marks. Nomi is willing to turn herself over but Amanita realises that Bendix hasn't bothered to check for the fact that Nomi's arrest warrant is gone now. She demands that he produce a warrant for Nomi's arrest and when he goes to look for it is unable to find it. Nomi's father is a high-ranking partner at a major law firm and threatens to sue Bendix into losing his entire career if he doesn't leave. Nomi is moved, particularly when he refers to her as his 'daughter' for the first time. The wedding ceremony resumes without a problem.

Daniela finds the perfect script for Lito, which he falls in love with once he reads it. He is discouraged about being able to get the role since he's never crossed over into Hollywood before. Daniela proves her worth by making a series of phone calls that last less than an hour which culminates in her getting Lito a meeting with a top Hollywood producer. He will need to pitch himself to finalize the deal and ensure that he is given the part.

Rajan's associate Ajay stops by when Rajan isn't home so Kala allows him to come up with one of the security guards to drop off a belated wedding present. She doesn't open it, as he tells her to wait till Rajan comes home.

Will figures out a plan to get access to Whispers so she'll need to come back to London quickly. He also needs for them to get more blockers which they're running low on but Kala says she should be able to make. Diego interrupts their conversation to share the bad news that Will's father is dying in the hospital. They all go to visit him and Will is able to reconnect one last time with his father through Riley before he dies.

Jonas reveals how he is still alive because the chairman of BPO stopped Whispers from transforming him into another zombie. The chairman needs Whispers but he doesn't trust him. He uses the zombies to eliminate his political opponents but needs Jonas to be the watchdog that can monitor Whispers. Their lives are closely connected.

A helicopter descends to escort Whispers and his family out of the property. Will wants to try to run and catch Whispers but Wolfgang warns him that doing so is too dangerous. Instead, the cluster will have a look around the house that's been newly abandoned to find clues that will help them in there fight against Whispers. Wolfgang cracks the safe and they find a series of fake IDs and confidential BPO files.

Capheus is starting to pick up traction in his political campaign until his opponent begins to fabricate positive media for himself and negative campaign ads lying about Capheus. His team also advises him to embrace the new security team that'll be guarding him as a precaution. If anything happens to Capheus, no one will ever be brave enough to stand up against Mandiba, his opponent, again.

Lito laments what he sees as the end of his career, following being dropped from his agency. He doesn't foresee being able to be hired for jobs as an action star while also being an out, gay man. Sun finds Lito crying on the streets of Seoul before he follows her up to her room. She's been staying in a 'love motel' because of their privacy policies. When they reach her room, he collapses crying on her bed. She pushes him to be grateful for all the good things he still has in his life, including his loved ones, while Lito pushes her to encourage her to feel free to be emotionally open and vulnerable about all the loss she has faced.

Kala visits Will and ponders whether she should be honest with Rajan about her connection and feelings for Wolfgang. She still thinks that Rajan is a good man underneath it all despite his recently suspicious behaviour and feels guilty about lying and keeping secrets from him. She gives him medical advice about getting his health back on track and not being reliant on heroin anymore, and he assures her that they will both be fine.

Riley goes with Diego to the station to try to find the Assistant that had met with Riley to tell her where to find Whispers, while Will visits to assist in the investigation. They head to the back room to look through the database of missing persons.

Wolfgang visits Kala, holding her close in his arms. But the moment is interrupted by Rajan coming home with a bloody nose and refusing to give an explanation as to what has happened.

Nomi wakes Sun from her sleep by saying that the Bak Summer Gala is going to be happening despite the police advising Joong-ki to cancel it. Nomi also found an e-mail Joong-ki sent out to various important clients saying that he will be there. There won't be any security checks for staff so Sun will be able to be a cocktail waitress with Lito helping, as he spent six months training with the best bartenders in Mexico in preparation for a role.

Wolfgang meets with Fuchs, who opens up about some suspicions regarding Lila. But Lila calls to warn Sebastian with false claims that Wolfgang is plotting against him. Wolfgang can hear the entire conversation being had because he and Lila are visiting each other.

The lead bandit from previous confrontations sneaks into Capheus' home and forces him at gunpoint to come outside. He then puts his gun away and admits that he respects Capheus and the way he has inspired people in their neighborhood, and warns him that people are going to come after him. He promises to vote for Capheus if he can survive all the way to election time.

Will spies on Whispers who is having an argument with his wife and children, who resent him for forcing them out of their family home. Wolfgang prepares for what he knows is an impending power-struggle in Berlin's organised criminal world. Kala wakes up to hear Rajan yelling at someone on the phone and telling them to stay away from him and his family, saying that it's all over. Kala asks him about the call but he claims it's just an old client from America.

Nomi prepares for her sister's wedding, worried about having to face her disapproving parents once more. She and Kala are both worried when Wolfgang makes his journey to meet with Lila. As he's walking to the restaurant where they're set to have dinner he also sees Sun training, Riley investigating in Chicago, Capheus at the local supermarket, Lito in his kitchen, and Will working on his investigation into Whispers. Wolfgang has often been the lone wolf type in his struggles and arms himself for the ambush he knows is coming but his entire cluster visits and walks behind him.

Will begins to advise the cluster of what's happening. Wolfgang knows he's walking into a trap and will need their help. Even as Wolfgang is walking into the restaurant, Will and Sun are already providing back-up support in scoping out the layout. Kala is angry, knowing that Lila was trouble from the beginning. Wolfgang speaks to Lila, who admits that her ultimate plan is to make Berlin into a safe haven for sensates that will be entirely free of sapiens.

Bug and Amanita call Diego's phone to talk to Riley. Nomi is knocked out after tripping in her heels so now they will need to be the ones to provide technical support to the cluster. Riley works alongside them using Will's knowledge to access the Interpol database while Amanita and Bug hack into the restaurant database. They send out a ping to the phones they've deemed hot and find that the restaurant is full of people working for Lila. The tensions escalate between the two clusters, both of whom are present with their respective members, until Kala uses a bottle of champagne to set off an explosion at the table. A shootoff ensues as Wolfgang fights off Lila and all the hired guns present. His cluster helps him fight, with many people being shot int he fight till it's just Wolfgang and Lila facing off against one another. When their guns are empty, Lila warns him he will regret not dying that night. The two clusters face off against one another in a direct fight but then the police arrive and Wolfgang is forced to escape as Lila is pretending to be a victim.

Riley embarks on her journey to Chicago to meet with a BPO contact that should provide her with information on Whispers and where to find him. Will is supremely worried about Riley's safety but it's necessary to the survival of the cluster and sensates all over the world. Nomi is the one that provided her with a fake ID with the help of Bug and Amanita. Nomi is also monitoring her progress through the TSA's database. Bug alerts them that the security level has been bumped up, all the more reason to be careful.

Kala confronts Rajan again about falsified reports in the company. She's discovered that old medical supplies and drugs are being sold to people in need and Rajan tells her that it's just part of business, since they need to make money as a company. Kala is horrified when Rajan tells her that these old supplies won't be shipped to people in India but other places such as China or Africa. Capheus overhears this and is inspired to go visit the political activists that had asked him to run.

Nomi and Amanita spend time with Amanita's mother and three fathers. Lito, Hernando, and Daniela return from São Paulo and find that Joaquin is waiting there with Daniela's parents who want to bring her home, believing she is disgracing the family by spending all her time closely involved with two gay men. Joaquin tries to take her bag but Daniela stands strong while supported by Lito and Hernando. Daniela's parents threaten to cut her off but she still refuses, prioritising love over money and threats. Daniela's parents leave with Joaquin.

Riley successfully reaches Chicago where she meets Diego, Will's former police partner. Diego is still angry at Will for his disappearance but has still agreed to escort Riley where she needs to go. She explains to him about sensates and that Will is in her head. Diego still resents Will, who decides to call Diego and apologise again for everything and elaborating that the reason why he kept his distance after his disappearance was to keep Diego safe during all the questioning that ensued. Diego forgives Will and agrees to help him and Riley with whatever they need.

Rajan visits Kala at her parents' home and apologises for what he has done and promises he wants to be a better man than someone who only crunches numbers the way his father taught him to.

Capheus introduces Zakia to his mother. Zakia lets it slip that Capheus is running for political office and his mother is initially upset but after talking it out with him, she agrees to support him. Her only fears are that Capheus will die trying to fight for the people just like his father did.

Sun visits the graves of her parents, overcome with emotion for all that she has lost. She reminisces about the positive memories she has of her mother and the cluster visits to offer her emotional support and remind her that she isn't alone.

Lito is devastated to find that his agency is dropping him for making such a public declaration of his homosexuality. On his way out of the building, another actor discretely hugs him in the elevator and thanks him for what he has done, implying that he himself is living and working in the closet.

Detective Mun meets Sun at her parents' grave and says he has been coming there every day before work on the chance that she would be there. He claims to want to help her but she doesn't believe in the law's ability to help her after everything that has happened. Mun says that they believe there is a lot of illegal money flowing through the company because of her brother but that they simply haven't been able to prove it yet. He even offers Sun protection, which she declines. He then asks her for a rematch, proposing that they will fight. If she wins, she can leave freely and if he wins, she will come with him. When Sun points out that he's already said that she's free to go, he says that he wants her to choose to take part in the rematch. She agrees and the fight begins. It's long, intense, and a bit bloody. But Mun tells Sun during the fight that she is special, though certain people in her life haven't seen it. During a stalemate moment, the two kiss. After that, Sun overpowers him once more and knocks him out, leaving him to sleep it off.

Riley heads to her meeting with the BPO contact who wanted to do so at the church where Angelica died. Diego and Will (through visiting) both accompany her. Nomi pops in to tell Will and Riley how she has learned that the reason Whispers has been missing is because BPO has been keeping him in prison. He had used Todd as a lobotomised puppet to murder a politician named Mitchell Taylor who had been trying to advocate for greater acceptance of people regardless of their differences and was involved with the origins of BPO.

Riley was instructed by Hoy that she needs to go down the stairs alone, which Diego is fine with allowing her to do since he is concerned that the situation may be becoming too dangerous for his liking. He waits upstairs while Riley heads down with the cluster accompanying her. She finds a blocker with a glass of water along with a message telling her to take it. Will objects strongly to her doing this but she proceeds to take it, cutting the cluster off from her. Before they go, Will tells her she has just five minutes before he will summon Diego to come after her.

The BPO contact emerges, a middle-aged woman that's worked wit Professor Kolovi. Riley deduces that the woman was responsible for helping Angelica escape when they both realised she was going to give birth to another cluster. Angelica wasn't going to let what happened to her cluster happen again which is why she ended up killing herself after giving birth. The woman tells Riley how Angelica only joined BPO to be able to try to find her children but neither of them knew how much BPO was changing. Dr. El-Saadawi had been a visionary before she died. Professor Kolovi may have believed in her work at one point but once he got involved with Whispers, things changed. The woman shares Whispers' full name and how she doesn't any more people to die, having been shaken by seeing how many casualties there were from Todd's killing rampage orchestrated by Whispers. The woman gives Riley an address in England where Whispers is being kept with his family.

Will heads to the address and scouts the location with Sun and Wolfgang. Jonas appears then appears to Will, revealing himself to still be alive.

Riley and Will are on the run from Whispers and BPO. Will has to take his blockers, which he doesn't enjoy since it keeps him cut off from Riley's mind. Riley visits with one of the sensates whom she spotted during the concert, an elderly Scottish man known as the Old Man of Hoy. He believes the concert was a BPO trap despite her protests that this isn't the case.

Sun tells her mentor that she needs to go on the run again. He gives her a bag of supplies he had prepared, knowing that it was only a matter of time before she went on the run again. He assures her that teaching her has been the greatest honour of his life. All that's left is for her to have a tearful goodbye with her dog.

Lito informs Hernando and Daniela that he's agreed to go to São Paulo and bring them along. Nomi and Amanita return to their apartment, prepared to start their lives over again after Anonymous gifted Nomi with an "e-death".

Zaria visits Capheus and tells him that the men from her office are just jerks. She is very much interested in Capheus and admits to being bisexual, which doesn't bother Capheus at all. She is interested in pursuing a relationship with him and Capheus responds by kissing her. They are cheered on by the people Capheus was driving on his bus.

It's late at night in Mumbai and Kala can't sleep so she goes for a swim. She visits Wolfgang and they consummate their relationship while Capheus and Zakia do the same. Later, Zakia encourages Capheus to reconsider the offer to run for political office.

Lito, Hernando, and Daniel arrive at São Paulo and receive a warm greeting at the airport by members of the LGBT+ community. Lito is nervous when he is told he'll be giving an address to the crowd as grand master of the parade but is assure he doesn't have to do so if he isn't comfortable. He proceeds to take selfies with the many fans present.

Capheus returns to his neighborhood and is shocked to discover that his mother has started dating Kabaka. He doesn't mind, despite his initial surprise. In private, she reveals that Kabaka has the same disease she does, which is why he had such easy access to the drugs she needed for treatment, and that he has people working hard to find a cure.

Will and Riley arrive at their new hide-out where Riley is visited by Puck, the Australian chemist who had analysed the blocker pills back in London. The reason why they didn't connect sooner is because he had ben on a blocker. Will wants information on how to find BPO and Puck advises them that typically if you find other sensates they are hunters for BPO. He propositions Riley for sex but doesn't push her into anything she's not willing to do without coercion. Puck is on the run in Italy and warns Riley that blockers won't keep them safe from BPO forever.

Wolfgang is playing football with Felix and some other Berlin locals. Kala gets distracted at work watching Wolfgang run around shirtless and sweaty on the field. Wolfgang approaches Kala in-between plays and tries to kiss her until she's interrupted by a co-worker coming in to drop off some paperwork. She then tells Wolfgang what they did was wrong. Wolfgang tells her everything they did was in their heads and married women fantasise all the time. Kala now feels she can't trust herself and asks Wolfgang to let her make a life but Wolfgang responds that pretending isn't a life, leaving Kala more conflicted than ever.

Lito is still nervous about the idea of giving a speech at the parade but Hernando and Daniela assure him that he has inspired many by coming out. At the parade, Lito uses the moment to open up to everyone and be honest about how afraid he feels and the struggles he has dealt with by hiding who he was. He comes out publicly and the crowd cheers for him. The cluster stands close by to watch proudly as Lito gives an inspiring, impassioned speech and introduces Hernando to the crowd. Lito celebrates with his loved ones, his cluster, and the millions of people in attendance.

Nomi agrees to be a part of her sister's wedding. She is supportive of Nomi despite their parents disapproving of Nomi. Amanita tracks down Angelica's cabin so her and Nomi run off to follow the lead.

Will goes through a dream-like state of navigating through Whispers' morning routine including opening a secret safe and calling a BPO higher-up. Will wakes when he sees himself as Whispers when looking into a mirror and jolts awake. He warns Riley that he thinks something bad is going to happen. Will later encourages Wolfgang to play nice enough with Lila to try to get information on BPO. He shows her a photo of Whispers, and she is encouraged by a member of her own cluster to walk away from the situation. She leaves Wolfgang without answers as she heads to a meeting. Wolfgang warns her beforehand to not go inside, as his instincts and analysis of the situation are that it's a trap. She kills the two rented goons after luring them outside and upon heading in, she assassinates the crime boos present, Volker Bhom, and his men. Lila is skeptical when Wolfgang says he's been hated by the 'Cannibal' (another nickname for Whispers) for about a year, as sensates normally don't outrun him for so long. Her cluster-member still discourages her from telling Wolfgang anything.

Riley is eating with Will when she's visited once again by the Old Man of Hoy. He's hiding out in a reclusive set-up and admits that after 30 years of staying hidden, that he's perhaps bored by the loneliness of just surviving and not actually living. To prove to Hoy and they can be trusted, she brings him outside so he'll know where she is located. He won't be outdone so he brings her out of the box he was sitting in to show her his apartment which has a library and laboratory. Upon leading her outside, he's shown to be set up in a large mansion in the Highlands of Scotland. Hoy lives there with the wife of one his now-deceased cluster-members.

Nomi and Amanita reach the cabin where Nomi spots a memory-impression of Angelica herself. Meanwhile, Hoy is telling Riley how he was involved in the creation of BPO with Ruth Al-Sadaawi long before it became the terror it is now. Nomi is watching impressions of past memories of Angelica with Jonas when they were young, in love, and happy. Hoy explains that homo sapiens are prone to destruction and violence when they are fueled with fear and insecurity, which is why they've always kept quiet about their existence. Ruth wasn't a sensate but her twin sister was before she was killed for being accused of witchcraft. Nomi begins to experience the more negative memories at the cabin of when Angelica began to fight with her cluster. Riley asks Hoy about Whispers and he's visibly shaken, knowing about the dangers he presents. He admires Riley's bravery and agrees to use an underground network of sensate connections spread across the world to help track down where Whispers is. He gets the information and gives it Riley, warning her that she won't like the answers.

Riley wakes up and tells Will that someone on the inside knows Whispers but she won't get it unless she does what Hoy asked -- to go to Chicago alone. Nomi and Amanita discover the burned down remains of another portion of the cabin that Todd destroyed by burning down with himself still inside. This was what inspired Angelica to go to Chicago but that was also when everything started to go wrong.

The sensates have a group visit and mourn the loss of BPO at the hands of BPO.

In Nairobi, Capheus is visited by some local members of a political party and ask him to run for political office but he isn't interested in pursuing a job in politics. Capheus heads to the city to visit Zakia and is made to feel inadequate by some men working in the office who insult his jacket, speculate that he's no the hero the media has made him out to be, and they then claim that Zakia was involved with a woman in London and it was a huge scandal to her family. They tell Capheus he doesn't have a chance with her so Capheus leaves discourage, after learning that Zakia will be in meetings all day.

Sun visits her mentor and is reunited with her dog. She later watches her brother on the news addressing the media and imploring for her to turn herself in. She lashes out with her temper and breaks her mentor's television as a result. He's not angry at her, only saying that they should resume her training. Sun tells her mentor that she doesn't have a plan but she won't stop until her enemy is dead. He replies that it's a good plan.

Nomi is growing tired of being restricted by living life as a fugitive and Bug offers to get in contact with some associates that are a part of Anonymous to try to give Nomi an "E-death". With this particular brand of kill switch, if successful all warrants and government records of her her will be wiped out.

Kala is becoming suspicious of Rajan's business practices and whether there are some shady dealings happening or if she is simply incapable of being happy despite her life being seemingly perfect.

Whispers visits with Will once more and shows him that he's out in the open, sitting in front of Big Ben in London. Will lashes out at Whispers for being so self-righteous and for killing Sara Patrell, among others. Whispers believes that everyone is just a necessary casualty and that Angelica once believed in the work they were doing together. Whispers believes that Angelica merely broke the way so many other soldiers, cops, etc. have.

Lito goes through scripts with Hernando and Daniela, feeling discouraged by the lack of quality in the roles he is being offered as an out and gay man. All of the roles are typecast stereotypes. Hernando pulls up an offer for an all-expense paid trip to São Paulo to be the grand master of a gay pride parade. Lito doesn't want to go, feeling that doing so will only worsen his difficulties finding jobs.

Bug brings Nomi and Amanita to a local cinema playing a film that's starring Lito. Nomi is shocked to see him on film and Bug is ecstatic to learn that Lito is one of the voices in Nomi's head. When Nomi tells him that Lito is sitting right next to him Bug compliments his work. Though Lito is still feeling down about his struggles, he is happy to have an encounter with someone that loves his work and observes the audience applauding a particularly dramatic scene he portrays.

Kala questions Rajan about some inconsistencies in the reports and the products being shipped out but Rajan dismisses her concerns and tells her not to worry.

Bug, Nomi, and Amanita are still at the cinema and waiting for their contact with Anonymous. The man(?) is wearing a mask and has their voice being modulated as they speak to Nomi. They know about Homo sensorium and that Nomi is one of them, as well as BPO. They want to take BPO down just like every other corrupt organisation. For now, they can only offer a bit of invisibility and present Nomi with a key that will give her the e-death she is looking for. But in return they made need to call in a favour from her at some point in the future.

Wolfgang visits Fuchs' home, having been lead to believe that he was there for a meeting. Instead Lila visits him while naked in her tub. Wolfgang tries to dismiss her advances but she presses him to stay and listen, as she has concerns that Fuchs will be going down because of certain business decisions he's making. she wants to make an alliance with Wolfgang so they will continue to prosper if Fuchs ends up going down. Wolfgang rejects her again and leaves.

Detective Mun visits Sun's mentor to question him about her whereabouts. He says that he wants to keep Sun alive so the mentor lets him in to answer his questions. Mun shares about how he had fought Sun in a tournament in their youth. He was stupid, cocky, and never forgot encountering her. He admits he's a better person for having encountered her and asks her mentor if he believes she is capable of what she is accused of. Her mentor says no and Mun admits that something is fishy about her escape. He noted how the guards were not from the prison and the security cameras were shut off. Mun offers his help to Sun and leaves his card with her mentor so he can be reached, seemingly knowing that Sun has been in contact with her mentor but not pressing the matter.

Bug hooks up the key given to them by Anonymous to delete Nomi's existence. It works and Amanita gets a notice that all of the arrest warrants and BOLOs on Nomi are gone.

Lito visits the gay bartender with whom he has had previous encounters, with the entire cluster visiting him. He orders eight shots and listens as the bartender shares how their previous encounter in which Lito was so full of fire, bravery, and passion inspired him to go home and propose to his boyfriend. Now he is a happily married man and tells Lito he never would've been brave enough to do it without that kiss. Capheus tells Lito that courage is contagious. Lito re-considers the offer to go to São Paulo.

The cluster ponders how nothing will change if they keep playing it safe. The only way for them to get their lives back is to be brave and bold to fight back against BPO. Will points out that BPO must have a lot of resources because there are far more clusters out there than they originally thought. Now they need to find them. Riley calls Vincent and asks to take the DJ-ing gig so she can play a massive rave in Amsterdam and get the attention of other sensates. The team agrees to go ahead with the plans and work together to keep safe. They all toast to courage.

Riley plays the show while Nomi will keep an eye online to monitor and interfere with any attempts to call law enforcement on her. Riley gives a speech to the crowd about living in fear and how someone (Will) inspired her to look up instead of looking down at the ground. The cluster all visits and enjoys the party atmosphere of the rave while Riley looks out at the crowd. While playing, she manages to catch eyes with another sensate that appears on stage next to her while visiting. He leaves the rave terrified but Riley is thrilled to have already spotted someone. Whispers appears to Will and tells him this was foolish. Will replies that it was amazing. Riley's friends help her to escape while Whispers and more of his men and the law enforcement appear to try to to capture her. Will and Riley escape on a boat, leaving Whispers and his men behind.

Will is forced to flee from the museum following Whispers' attack on Croome. Sun helps him to fight off some security guards that try to stop him. While Will is on the way out, Lito visits Riley and helps her to throw a tantrum that captures the attention of many police officers and send them searching in a different direction so Will can sneak out a side door. Riley follows him out and the cluster visits them to further advise them on getting out of the city. Will has managed to get away with the bottle of blockers Croome gave him. Wolfgang tells the cluster about how he has met Lila which opens things up to there being several other clusters out there in the world. Wolfgang gives Nomi Lila's information so she can investigate her further.

Bug has yet to press Nomi for more information regarding her speaking to voices that he can't hear but merely offers her the opening that she can tell him more about it. Nomi and Amanita decide to tell Bug everything about what it means to be a sensate and he is awed by the revelation but no less accepting than ever. Kala attends an art gallery and meets with Wolfgang when she slips away to the bathroom. She presses him to explain why they can't have their talks anymore and he says he wants her to be happy. Lila visits him while he is still talking to Kala. The rules of visiting are such that the women can't see each other but Wolfgang can see both of them. Kala nearly kisses Wolfgang once more before she is distracted by some other women entering the restroom. Wolfgang visits Lila in her car and she admits to having made a deal with BPO that keeps them from hunting her.

In Nairobi, there is a riot on the verge of breaking out over accessibility to water. In Mumbai, there have been extra security measures implemented at Kala's local temple because of the attack on Rajan's father. He also had been pushing for an anti-religion law which has escalated the tensions and protests surrounding the temple. Kala is distraught over the potential for more violence when her religion is supposed to be a source of peace. Capheus confronts the man who has raised the price of water.

Amanita prepares to board her motorbike to head back home but spots Agent Bendix who follows after her. She lets Nomi know through their connective earpiece that she will lose him and utilises some evasive maneuvers driving on the streets of San Francisco while Bendix chases after her. Kala is forced to flee the temple when the locals spot her and consider her an associate of Rajan's father. The man in Nairobi relents and begins to distribute water to the people with the encouragement of Capheus. Amanita is able to shake Bendix off her tail and get back to Nomi, who is emotional over her worry for Amanita while experiencing the riots in Mumbai and Nairobi.

Riley brings a blocker Will acquired to a friend that works in the manufacture and distribution of party drugs to learn more about it. Kala visits Riley to ask the right questions regarding the chemical makeup and properties of the blocker. She also suggests that they perform some basic reactivity tests to Riley's blood. One of the men there expresses an interest in restarting an old relationship with Riley and the cluster eavesdrops on the interactions. The pair of drug-dealers are interested in Riley coming to DJ an upcoming party but Riley is weary of putting herself at risk.

Capheus is interviewed at the TV station Zakia works at regarding his background and current standing in the community. Rajan hires extra security for him, Kala, and their families since they have begun to receive death threats regarding the increasing tension regarding legislative policies on religion.

Lito recalls a relationship he had with Raoul Pasquale, a Mexican journalist that had interviewed Lito early on in his acting career. Raoul had also been a sensate that was born into one of Angelica's clusters. Lito decides to visit Raoul's father who is more than happy to talk to Lito about his son. He quickly deduces that they were involved but has no objections to it. Raoul's father shows Lito some old photographs, including the cabin that Angelica used to be at. Nomi tells Lito to take pictures of everything and to send them on to her so she can try to trace their origins. Raoul's father knows that the lies the police said about Raoul after he disappeared were in fact lies. He could tell they were looking for something but didn't find it. He shows Lito a secret tape that Raoul had hidden. On it, Whispers is performing his experiments to create lobotomised zombies on Todd, the member of Angelica's cluster that was deeply religious and saw being a sensate as a curse. Raoul's father believes Raoul called him right before he vanished. He had received a call late at night but Raoul didn't say anything to him. Angelica was shown to be holding the phone up to Raoul's ear while he cried softly. Raoul's father told him he loved him before Angelica tearfully hung up the call.

Two Korean police officers come searching for Sun and Min-Jung at Min-Jung's friend's place. They come inside to search for the prisoners and Sun flees while Min-Jung stays behind in the apartment. One of the police officers, detective Mun, chases Sun up to the roof where he holds her at gunpoint but she flips him onto his back when he tries to put handfcuffs on her. They fight and Sun realises that she is fighting the same boy she beat in her martial arts competition after which she lost her virginity. Sun knocks him out and returns to the apartment. She doesn't want to leave Min-Jung behind but Min-Jung encourages her to go on without her and clear her name, saying she's happy enough to have had one more taste of freedom before she will resume serving her life sentence. Min-Jung tells her to punch her brother a few more times for her and to come visit her once she's free. Sun promises to do so.

Will has nightmares of the conflict in Angelica's cluster regarding Whispers, BPO, and the experiments. Nomi also appears in the dream and they realise that they are sharing the experience of reliving a memory. Angelica's voice calls out to Will, pleading for him to help Jonas who is going to be killed by BPO.

Will has another meeting with Whispers in the staged room but this time Will uses his newfound knowledge to make some power moves. He points out that Whispers is not at the top of the hierarchy, so Will wants to talk to Croome. Nomi and Bug do some hacking and feed Will information about how Croome has a sick aunt as well as a mistress despite being married. Once Whispers passes this information along Croome agrees to meet Will face-to-face despite Whispers protesting against it. Whispers is put on ice due to Nomi sending him an encrypted text on his private numbers since Whispers was initially refusing to pass on this part of the information. Now Will is finally free to go outside with Riley while the rest of the cluster joins them in the sunny day.

Lito loses his leading role in an upcoming film following his coming out and the consequent flopping of his latest film. His agents give him a large stack of scripts for him to look over for a replacement project.

Nomi and Amanita are excited to go out for dinner together since they finally have a bit of room to breathe. Sun is pulled from her room by some men disguised as prison guards so she visits Nomi, knowing something is wrong, and pleads for her help. Will also join in the visit and they surmise that the men are going to try to kill her. Amanita and Bug spring into action to help Nomi save Sun. They hack into the prison security system to monitor the fake guards as they bring Sun towards a room. Wolfgang helps her fight the men off when the group notices the nearby security camera power down. The guards use a taser on her and drag her into the room where they tase her again, causing Capheus to nearly crush his van and Nomi to collapse on Bug's boat.

Sun continues to fight off the guards to the best of her ability despite still having her hands restrained but she is tased again, this time causing Kala to collapse at work. All the cluster begins to struggle to breathe as Sun is pulled up by her neck. She is close to death but her friend and roommate, the elderly Min-jung arrives and kills the fake guard holding the chord keeping Sun hanging up. Sun regathers her strength and with the help of other fighters in the cluster finally manages to kill the rest of the fake guards. As the fake guards have keys to the prison, Sun takes this opportunity to break out and brings Min-jung along with her. Sun knows that the men were hired by her brother Joong-ki. The cluster helps Sun on her quest to escape, from hot-wiring a bus to hacking the security system to give her clearance to leave. Will, Wolfgang, and Capheus help to form a plan in which Sun abandons the bus in a parking lot and finds an inconspicuous car to steal. The cluster isn't sure where to go next since the city has too many surveillance cameras and Min-jung offers for them to go to her friend's place which isn't too far away.

Felix and Wolfgang visit Fuchs at his loft. There, Wolfgang meets Lila Facchini, the partner of Fuchs. She is also a sensate and begins to toy with Wolfgang by salaciously flirting with him in his head while he must maintain his composure in the meeting with Fuchs. Fuchs wants Wolfgang and Felix to use their connection to the organised crime world to defuse a gang war that is brewing which could disrupt the massive money-laundering operation he has going. Wolfgang tells Fuchs they might be interested.

Lito, Hernando, and Daniela search for a new apartment and struggle to find something that is a comfortable space but also in their budget. Hernando considers going back to an old job that he doesn't love as much as teaching but would pay him more. Daniela wants to move in with them and split the cost which means that Lito and Hernando will be able to afford to live there, and the apartment is big enough to fit the three of them.

Min-jung and Sun arrive at Min-jung's friend's place and are warmly greeted. Will and Riley head to a train station to meet with Jonas, which was part of the deal they made with Croome. They have an hour for Will to have a visit with Jonas. Jonas has selected a train station because Will can quickly escape if he needs to. Jonas shares how this train station was where Jonas saw a vision of his cluster-father. Jonas continues to explain that any gender sensate can give birth to a cluster and at any time in their lives. This is one of the reason BPO fears sensates; the population growth. The other cluster members visit with Will to pass along questions of their own. Jonas shares that he is the last of his own cluster.

Jonas returned to the train station and met Angelica there for the first time as they were finally able to visit one another. He was with her when she gave birth to her first cluster, after which she was so happy. There was a man named Todd that experienced a deep sense of self-hatred regarding being a sensate, as he had been deeply religious before becoming a sensate. Todd wanted to be 'normal' again and believed BPO could fix them. One by one, the cluster left and the only member of it Jonas was met was a man named Raoul Pasquale, whom Lito knows as a man who interviewed him a long time ago. They had an affair before Raoul disappeared. Angelica went looking for Raoul and ended up working with Whispers in the hopes of finding her cluster of children. Sun tells Will she doesn't trust Jonas, who warns Will that Croome is still dangerous as a member of BPO and there will always be an 'us' and 'them' mentality.

Will heads to his meeting with Croome at an art museum. Croome explains to him that BPO's original mission had been to foster co-operation between sensates and humans. But once 9/11 and the War on Terror began, the organisation began to prioritise secrecy and sovereignty which lead to sensates begin treated as threats to national security. Croome claims to want to get BPO back to what it was originally intended to be and gifts Will with a supply of the same psi-blocker pills that Whispers has used to keep other sensates out of his head. But it's then that a lobotomised victim of Whispers emerges and attacks and kills Croome before trying to kill Will as well. When the puppet is unsuccessful in doing so, Whispers commands the puppet to kill themselves.

Will is struggling to learn more about Whispers and BPO while taking his regular doses of heroin to block him out. Riley tends to him as best as she can while he battles nightmares of the violence Whispers has inflicted on other sensates. Riley asks him questions about what he can see of Whispers' life so she can document them.

Lito is being harassed on the red carpet of his latest film by a vicious reporter demanding Lito admit outright whether or not he is gay. Much of the public has turned against him following his outing. Capheus is being interviewed by a female reporter named Zakia, who presses him on whether he should be glorifying a white celebrity. She is impressed by his answer and introduces herself. She is so impressed by his answer that she comes back to visit him when she's off the clock and asks him out for lunch.

A man named Sebastian Fuchs approaches Wolfgang and Felix at a nightclub and gifts them with ownership of the club, only saying he admires their loyalty to one another as an explanation.

Riley visits Kala pleading for her to help medically treat Will since he isn't eating. The cluster is working together to try to get results from the information Will provides and be strong for him while he struggles through the pains of taking heroin to block out Whispers while also trying to spy on him.

Nomi and Amanita head to Chicago to try to find information on the evolutionary origins of sensates. The head to a university and sit in on a lecture from Dr. Kolovi who speaks about a theorised early hominid called homo sensorium, which may have been able to communicate in a manner much like the sensates. Kolovi believes that homo sensorium was wiped out by homo sapiens. They approach him after the lecture and he recognises a photo of Whispers as a former student of his named Matheson.

Riley tricks Whispers with strategic elements planted in the apartment to make him believe she and Will are still in Iceland. In actuality, they are hiding in Amsterdam. She goes out to visit her father who still loves and trusts her despite what people are saying back in Iceland. Will has a setback when trying to make deductions about the room Whispers allows him to visit him in, and the room is revealed to be staged.

Will visits Nomi while she and Amanita go to visit Sara Patrell's mother, still in Chicago. She opens up about Will visiting as a young boy claiming to be able to see Sara. Will even visited later after he graduated from the police academy to check in on her. During the visit, Sara's mother sends Will her best wishes. She reveals that Whispers had been Sara's tutor before she died (she doesn't know that he was the one to kill her). Angelica and Jonas, and even Whispers had all come to visit her after Sara disappeared. Will tells Nomi to relay the message that he never gave up on finding Sara and finding justice for her, and when Sara's mother receives the message she says that she knows.

Finally, Will is able to surprise Whispers by visiting him during an important meeting with a BPO higher-up named Richard Wilson Croome. They determine that Whispers is in London and Nomi is the one that manages to track down Richard's name by using her hacking skills with the information they pick up on in the room. Whispers panics when Will says Richard's full name and drops the blockers he was attempting to retrieve onto the desk. Whispers is being reprimanded for all the money he cost BPO with the problems in Iceland. Whispers says he is compromised and tries to leave the room but Will stops him first and warns Whispers that now they are the ones hunting him.

Amanita is maintaining a cover of not knowing where Nomi is but an Agent Bendix is harassing her and has illegally read her text messages in which she's talking to Nomi. He threatens to also put Amanita behind bars if she doesn't cooperate and Nomi monitors the interaction through a surveillance feed she has that allows her to keep in contact with Amanita while she stays hidden at their home.

Sun is still in solitary confinement and thinks about her brother Joong-Ki and begins to work out and train to pass the time and to prepare for her eventual vengeance quest against him. A guard adds another two weeks to her confinement due to her kicking the wall during her exercises. A new lawyer visits Sun after her other lawyer was threatened into dropping her case. He wants to subpoena Joong-Ki but Sun warns her to leave him alone because he is too dangerous to take on.

Wolfgang continues to check in on Felix, who is still being medically treated at the private facility. Wolfgang is sad about Kala who is on her honeymoon after marrying Rajan. She is also conflicted regarding her feelings for Wolfgang.

Joaquin releases the photos of Lito and Hernando having sex and the photos are circulated all over the news and internet. Lito visits Nomi when he is afraid for himself. Nomi admits she is afraid that their conversation may have pressured him into coming out to the public before he was ready but he doesn't regret saving Daniela. Now the media is hounding him, Joaquin, and Daniela and homophobes are sending him hate.

Will and Riley are hiding out in a safe house where he routinely shoots heroin in order to block out Whispers from forcibly visiting him. He has a nightmare of visiting with Angelica before shooting himself in the head which causes him to wake up.

Kala tries to explain to Rajan about the guilt she feels over being connected to people across the world that are suffering due to corruption, hate, etc. But her train of thought is interrupted when she finds out Rajan asked her mother for advice about their having sex for the first time. While Kala vents her anger, Lito is angered that his apartment complex has been spray-painted with a homophobic slur and the media are swarming his car. Daniela encourages him and Hernando to come stay at her house for a while.

Capheus and Jela work on repairing the matatu which is riddle from bullets due to the attack from the bandits. Jela wants to understand how Capheus was able to fight off the bandits and Capheus attempts to explain his connection to a "spirit" of a Korean woman that helped him to fight off the bandits. Capheus expresses his gratitude to Sun while she visits him.

Jonas briefly visits Will during a moment between hits of heroin and they look at Whispers who is with his family in England. The connection to Whispers is lost after a short while since Whispers takes blockers on a regular basis to prevent any other sensates from tracking him. Will and Jonas continue to visit as Jonas is being transferred to another facility. Will shares how he has been having visions of Angelia in a cabin. Jonas shares how this was the first place he considered a home. Will doesn't understand how he could see this when he's never been to the cabin nor met Angelica. Jonas explains that just as a genetic birth transfers genes, a sensate birth transfers sense experience and memory. This also wasn't the first cluster she gave birth to and Jonas said the same thing that happened to them is what's happening to himself currently. Will wants to know about the cluster Whispers was born into and Angelica tells him they're all dead but Whispers still talks to them in his sleep.

Capheus and Jela are unsuccessful in their attempts to repair Van Damn and the engine begins smoking when they try to turn on the ignition. They run out and away from it just in time before the entire matatu explodes and bursts into flames.

It's the cluster's birthday and they all find ways to celebrate. Lito and Hernando have birthday sex. Capheus receives a new fully decorated matatu from Kabaka to thank him for saving his and his daughter's life. Kala gets an expensive necklace from Rajan. Sun is visited by one of her prison friends who bribed a guard so she could visit and present her with a drawing of Sun with her dog. Nomi and Amanita sneak out to have a picnic on the hill. Wolfgang is out clubbing in Berlin. Will and Riley bathe together and agree that it's a special occasion so they should visit the rest of the cluster to enjoy the festivities. Varying forms of celebrations take place in their various locations as they all rejoice in the reunion. The dancing, food, and merriment eventually shifts when Wolfgang is made uncomfortable by seeing Kala in the arms of Rajan.

Kala visits with Sun and Kala opens up about her anxieties regarding having sex with Rajan for the first time. Sun shares about the experience of her first time having sex. She was 17 and fought a boy named Woojin in the final round of the tournament. She had hoped that if she won her father would let her compete in the nationals. Instead, after she won her father forbade her from ever fighting again. Sun vented her frustration in the locker room and was approached by Woojin who commended her fighting skills and said that she was the best opponent she ever had and it was an honour to fight her. She made her move on him and they had sex. Sun explains to Kala that sex isn't something to be afraid of but something to honour and enjoy.

Various members of the cluster begin to have sex. Riley and Will are in their hideout, Nomi and Amanita are on the hill, Lito and Hernando sneak into the bathroom of the club they're partying at, Wolfgang is searching for a tinder hookup, and Kala is preparing to consummate her marriage. The cluster begins to collectively have sex with one another through their visit.

Wolfgang is having sex with his tinder date when Kala accidentally walk in on them when she's trying to get to Rajan so they can consummate their marriage. Wolfgang and Kala keep visiting each other, frustrating Kala. Kala tries to climb off Rajan since her mood has been ruined and Rajan ends up falling off the bed and injuring his genitals. He is brought to the hospital and is told that it's just a sprain and should heal up after some time without any long-lasting consequences.

Lito has a meeting with his agents, who wants to sue the people who are accusing him of being gay but Lito states that he no longer wants to deny who he is. His agents warn him that there will be consequences to his career but allow him to make his own decisions. When he returns home he finds that he and Hernando have been evicted from their apartment and much of their belongings were taken away.

Wolfgang meets with his aunt and later, a territory boss named Volker who offer him the opportunity to get involved with organised crime since there is an opening in leadership by killing his uncle. Wolfgang's aunt wants him to calm the rise in conflict that has come from people fighting due to a vacancy in position. Wolfgang turns them down.

Will wakes up and is visited by Whispers who chides him for wasting his life away shooting up with drugs the way Angelica did at the end of her life. Will and Whispers dance around each other with trying to figure out where the other person is. Will has extensive interrogation experience as a cop and tries to rattle Whispers by deducing that Whispers is in trouble with his bosses for the things that went wrong in Iceland. Riley wakes and upon realizing that Will is visiting with Whispers, works quickly to inject him a dose of heroin and sever the connection.

Nomi is invited by her sister to be her maid of honour but Nomi is worried that she'd be putting everyone in danger. She and Amanita have to hide when their friend at the LGBT centre warns them that law enforcement are coming. Agent Bendix searches the room while Nomi and Amanita hide in a secret passage. When Agent Bendix threatens their friend to shut down the shelter, Nomi and Amanita later decide to leave so as to not ruin the shelter that many other LGBT-individuals need.

Felix wakes up and pretends to want a quiet life from now on, which Wolfgang agrees to. But Felix then reveals he's just kidding and is more than happy to resume their regular activities. While they are out drinking, a crime leader sends them drinks to show respect to Wolfgang and his family name.

Sun is visited by some men who claim that her lawyer has retired and they will be handling her case now. She suspects something is off and The cluster visit her to point out they are bad liars, are pretending to be lawyers, and that the surveillance camera in the room has just powered down. The men admit they are there to kill her and say it will be an easy cover story to claim she went crazy and they just had to defend themselves. The cluster continue to help her by distracting the men and picking the lock on her handcuffs so she can get free. Wolfgang also helps her to fight and beat/kill the men and afterward, the entire cluster stands in the room with her and asks if she is alright. She thanks them for their help and Riley tells her this is what family is for.

Nomi and Amanita decide to move in with Bug since it's their next best option. Kala and Rajan are going shopping for a home. Wolfgang and Felix return home to find that a territory boss named Volker is waiting for him wanting to again offer Wolfgang the opportunity to get involved with organised crime but again, Wolfgang refuses. Will calls his father while Riley sits with him to offer emotional support. His father implores him to come home and to not believe what the government agents are saying about him. Will tells him it's about Sara, the young sensate girl he knew as a girl that led to Will having to go to therapy to convinced the voice(s) he was hearing weren't real. His father presses him to come home and get help but Will apologises, saying he can't and that he loves him.

Nomi and Sun visit. Nomi is working on a hack of the prison transport system so Sun can be freed. Sun wants to watch the interview Joong-Ki is giving about Sun attacking him during his visit to prison. He claims that he wants Sun to get help. Nomi is worried that Sun will break her laptop again in anger but after Sun claims that she won't be upset by watching it, she lashes out in anger causing Nomi to throw her fist into her food instead.

Kala vists Wolfgang in Berlin and is amazed by the snow, something she has never seen before. She chides Wolfgang for being so pessimistic and flirts with him before starting a snow fight when he tries to kiss her. Felix and some women walk up and interrupt him rolling around in the snow.

It's Christmas time and the members of the cluster all find ways to celebrate. Riley insists on letting Will come outside blindfolded so they can have one night to enjoy themselves, as she thinks Whispers will be too busy with his family to hunt Will. Riley removes the blindfold to show Will a patch of ice for them to go iceskating together.

Lito brings Hernando and Daniela home with him to meet his mother. Lito shares how he used his first big paycheck as an actor to buy his mother a home, since she always believed in him. Lito is nervous to see his mother now that he has been outed but she simply tells him he has nothing to apologise for and still loves and accepts him for who he is. She tells him she is proud of him for not hiding who he is and that she always knew.

The cluster members enjoy the holidays with their loved ones, all taking time to visit one another and see how they all celebrate. Whispers appears to Will while he is out iceskating with Riley. Riley tries to hurry to get some heroin to inject Will who is panicked to find that Whispers is visiting Will's father. Will cries as he watches Whispers talk to Will's father, who is drinking and insisting that Will is a good cop. Despite Whispers suggesting that Will was involved in terrorist activities Will's father says no matter what Will did he just wants him to come home. Will threatens to kill Whispers and the connection is severed when Riley finally injects him. Will expresses concerns over how long he can keep this up and doubts about whether he can beat Whispers. Riley encourages him that they can beat him together.

Sun is finally returned to her regular cell and is united with her friends there. Volker invites Wolfgang and Felix to his New Year's party and witnesses Volker threaten another leader. Worried, he decides it's time for him and Wolfgang to leave. When the man Volker threatened runs up to Wolfgang begging for help, Wolfgang pushes him off but he is forced to flee with Felix when Volker's men shoot and kill the man. They chase after Wolfgang and Felix who hide in sideway street behind some parked cars. They shoot their firecrackers at the four men who begin to shoot off wildly. Wolfgang and Felix then fight the men. Wolfgang is grabbed by some of the men but Sun appears and helps him to stay calm and break free before helping him to fight off the men. Will also appears to help him in his fight and eventually Wolfgang emerges victorious. The cluster all appear to check on his well-being and he wishes them a 'happy fucking new year'.

A flashback of Will shows how he was seeing a young girl (another sensate that was captured by Whispers) but these visions were dismissed by a therapist as him projecting a need to save others due to the instability of having an alcoholic father.

Riley is being transported to the BPO facility in Iceland and re-experiences the car crash that killed her husband Magnus. She immediately went into labour in the overturned car and after giving birth to her daughter she felt no choice but to go out into the freezing Icelandic winter to try to find help but her daughter ended up freezing to death.

Will visits Riley and assures he he is coming for her. Nomi is visiting with Will and helping to talk him through breaking into BPO. She sets him up with a car using Metzger's credit cards for him to drive out from the airport and loads the car's GPS with directions to the facility.

When Riley arrives at the facility Yrsa visits Riley and advises her to kill herself in order to ensure the safety of the rest of her cluster. She manages to grab a gun off one of the guards and has a vision of Angelica at the house she killed herself at and puts the gun in her mouth. Will sense her danger and visits her, pleading with her not to give up and assuring her that he is coming for her. Riley tearfully relents and is restrained and sedated.

Wolfgang is brought to his uncle and patted down but manages to pull a gun out from his coat pocket after revealing that he killed Steiner and begins to kill the guards. He also shoots his uncle in the chest but Will warns him that the sound was that of a bullet hitting kevlar which means he's still alive. His uncle sits up and begins to shoot at Wolfgang along with many other guards emerging, forcing Wolfgang to run upstairs and hide in the kitchen. He topples over a large cabinet to barricade the door. He and Kala visit one another and she begins searching through the kitchen's supplies and helps him to build a bomb, insisting that she's not ready to say goodbye to him. He kisses her once more time before lighting the ignition of the bomb and throwing it outside the door to take out the guards attempting to break in. Upon emerging he confronts his uncle once more, admitting that he killed his own abusive father as a child, and finally kills his uncle in a brutal display of violence. Kala watches the exchange tearfully and Wolfgang tells her this is why she needs to marry Rajan.

Nomi and Amanita advise Will to sabotage the luxury car given so as to distract the guards so he can get through the front door. She then gives him a false name and story of being a medical waste worker. The access code doesn't work initially so they tell him to turn up the brightness and he's able to get let in. Whispers has arrived at the facility and is trying to look Riley in the eyes but she has been heavily sedated because of her earlier incident with the gun. Nomi can't find Riely's location in the building because she hasn't been entered in the computer system so Lito arrives to help. He puts on a cover story and charms a nurse with a bit of flirting, gossiping, and acting of course. Through this, the sensates are able to get the room number but Whispers is watching Will on the surveillance system. Jonas informs Nomi and Will that there's an ambulance leaving in twelve minutes because someone on their side if pretending to have a heart attack. Whispers orders extra security to be placed around Riley's room. Sun arrives to fight off the guards in a brilliant display of skills, precision, and aggression.

Upon entering the room, Will sees Riley just as she wakes from her sedated state. He carries her out of the room and she's still half-unconscious. Nomi guides Will to hide out in a room full of medical supplies and Kala arrives to find and administer the correct chemical combination to safely wake Riley, though it'll be a bit violent. Now that she's more fully awake, she sadly warns Will that he shouldn't have come since everyone around her dies. Whispers determines they are trying to escape in the ambulance and orders no guns be used since he wants them to be captured alive. As Will is descending down the elevator, he and Whispers make eye contact which gives him access to all that Will sees and experiences. They reach the ambulance and Will can't find the keys. Capheus arrives and helps Will hotwire it into starting. Whispers taunts Will as he's fleeing, now that he can get in his head.

There's only one long road that Will is driving on and Amanita tells Will to take a left down a road that will take him into a section of land that will have fog and prevent the helicopter Whispers is chasing him in from being able to see and continue following him. The helicopter tries to stay hovering and block Will in the road from reaching the fog but Wolfgang takes over driving and his ability to handle the most dangerous situations is all the bluff they need to force the helicopter to pull up. Riley becomes hysterical and distraught as she begins reliving the car accident and birth/death of her child since it is the same area they are now driving in. They both share a vision of Angelica and Will is forced to pull over. Riley jumps out and begins running up a mountain and Will gets out to follow her. Will tries to comfort Riley while Jonas warns him that Whispers is getting into a car and will find them soon if they don't continue their escape.

There's a moment where it appears as if Will is considering killing himself to save the cluster but instead he drops his gun and runs back to the ambulance to get some medicine from the back. He finds enough sedatives that he'll be able to render himself unconscious. He sits in the passenger's side seat and injects himself before looking out at Riley on the mountain. He visits her and tells her their only chance to get away is if she comes back to the ambulance and drives them away, since Whispers has gotten into his head. She cries that she can't do it but Will holds her close and tells her he loves her, pleading with her to not give up. He kisses her once more before succumbing to the sedatives.

The scene cuts to Riley and Will on a boat on which she injects Will again to keep him drugged enough to not reveal their location. Dazed, he tells her she's saved them. Riley looks up and sees the other members of the cluster sitting on the boat with them.

Riley wakes in a hospital feeling cold. She briefly has a vision of her husband Magnus who asks her to come with him. He disappears and Yrsa appears in his place, calling her stupid for not heeding the warning. Yrsa warns her again that now that she's been hospitalised, BPO will find her and kill her.

Nomi shoots up awake, having had a dream of Riley's predicament. She knows that something needs to be done to save her and talks with Will about what to do. Nomi can hack into the hospital but doesn't have any of her equipment. She can visit Will to use his police codes to access their equipment but he's been suspended. Their conversation is interrupted by Bug, who has arrived just in time to offer up the equipment Nomi will need to perform the hack. He was alerted to her need for equipment because he had hacked the database where the FBI logs all their confiscated equipment and recognised several of the items that he had sold her before. Nomi doesn't have any money to pay him but Bug is more than happy to give her the equipment for free because he would be in prison if it weren't for her help.

Capheus has Amondi and asks his friend Jela to look after her while he will go to confront the bandits himself. He will not put Amondi in danger, despite their threats and demands. Jela is concerned for his friend's well-being but agrees to help.

Kala tells Rajan the truth about how he had asked her to end the engagement right before he was attacked. Rajan tells her he already knew his father disapproved of the match but still wants to marry her as he loves and trusts her.

Joong-Ki vists Sun in prison and says that their father was drinking heavily and despondent about his life. After he left, his father killed himself by poisoning himself using the exhaust of his car. But Sun immediately deduces that Joong-Ki is lying and actually killed their father because he was going to tell the truth about Sun's innocence and Joong-Ki's guilt. When Joong-Ki tries to leave, Sun jumps over the table and badly beats him until guards come in. As she's being dragged away she promises that he will pay for what he's done.

When Capheus arrives, the bandits are seemingly angry at first that he didn't bring Amondi but then seem to be fine with it and usher him deeper into their lair. They have kidnapped Kabaka and order Capheus to kill him with a machete. He's being held at gunpoint and told that their debt will be settled once he kills Kabaka, who begs Capheus to do it quickly. Sun is being kept in solitary confinement and angrily punching the walls. She channels her rage to help Capheus fight off the bandits, killing several, after which he leaves in his van with Kabaka. The leader is still alive and orders another batch of men to find him.

Wolfgang heads to the hospital and smuggles Felix out so he can't be harmed while Wolfgang seeks revenge. He leaves him at a secure facility where he will be cared for while he continues to heal.

Kala visits her local temple and is horrified when other people lead by the religious Guru Yash are thankful to her for seemingly bringing Rajan's father there so he could be attacked. When Yash gets too close, Will visits and strong-arms him into leaving her alone and never coming back. This is the first time Will and Kala have met and he tells her how he is in Chicago but his thoughts are in Iceland with Riley. They visit her together and Kala joins him in being concerned for her well-being.

As Capheus is driving away, Kabaka thanks him for saving him and not bringing Amondi to them. Capheus admits that saving Kabaka hadn't been part of his plan when going to confront the bandits but the conversation is interrupted by their being stopped in traffic, which allows the bandits to get out of their vehicle and approach the van. Capheus is concerned about the lack of weapons but Will arrives and helps him to disarm one of the bandits and use that weapons to fight back. Capheus then uses his van to drive over to the opposite side of the road and uses his strong driving skills to deal with the chaos of driving on a road with a stream of cars driving towards him until he can turn onto another road to be headed in the correct direction of traffic. He is pursued by the bandit leader who shoots at him while riding a motorbike. The two eventually face off against one another and Capheus is able to knock the bandit off his motorbike leaving him likely badly injured but not necessarily dead. He then brings Kabaka back to reunite with his daughter.

Riley is being treated by hospital workers and has flashbacks of the car accident that resulted in the death of her husband and newborn baby. She nearly froze to death too if Yrsa hadn't sensed she was in danger and called for help. Jonas visits Will and Nomi to warn them that Whispers knows about Riley and is on his way to go after her next. Whispers is using Jonas a tool to provoke Will into going to Iceland.

Wolfgang arrives at his uncle's house, intent on killing him. While sitting outside, Kala visits him and admits her feelings for him while expressing concern that he is risking his life by going after him. Wolfgang says as long as his uncle is alive, no one he cares about will be safe. The two kiss for the first time and Wolfgang heads inside. Sun and Kala visit, with Sun advising her that crying won't help Wolfgang and that these painful emotions are part of life and to stop feeling them is death. Kala asks what she should do and Sun says that she channels her emotions into her fists and fights for it.

Wolfgang visits the Memorial for the Murdered Jews of Europe to ponder what to do next. The other sensates in his cluster also appear briefly as he walks through the corridors. Wolfgang speaks with Will for a moment before walking off. Will then visits with Jonas who is still in captivity. Jonas tells him about the origins of sensates and how they have existed since the beginning of humankind and that the genetic differences are very subtle compared to other humans that aren't sensates. Jonas also warns Will that Whispers will try to use him as a tool to hunt down Will's cluster, saying he needs to never look Whispers in the eye.

Sun is visited by a lawyer sent by her father with some forms for her to sign that are part of the process for her to be freed. She does so, though not without pondering what it will mean for her brother. The lawyer tells her that if all goes well, he will have her out in about a week.

Steiner confronts Wolfgang at the hospital next to Felix's still sleeping body. Steiner tells Wolfgang he will have Felix killed if Wolfgang does not return the stolen diamonds.

Kala admits to her father that Rajan's father wanted her to end the engagement and now she feels even more guilty considering he was nearly killed. She doesn't admit to her father that she has felt so conflicted about marrying Rajan. Now she doesn't know whether to tell Rajan about why her father visited her. Her father talks her through the pros and cons of both decisions and assures her that he'll support her no matter what she decides. She later visits Capheus and he tells her about the importance of television as a means of escapism for those living in poor conditions.

Wolfgang retrieves the diamonds and drives out to the agreed upon location where Stein and his men arrive at. They pat Wolfgang down twice to check for weapons and find nothing. Stein gets the diamonds back and becomes angry when questioning Wolfgang on how he got into the safe, to which Wolfgang replies that he cracked it.  Stein begins to beat on Wolfgang and holds a gun to his head, threatening to kill him. He has hidden a gun underneath his car but now he needs to come up with a story that will allow him to move forward enough to retrieve it. Lito visits Wolfgang and helps him come up with a cover story that will give Wolfgang the space he needs to get the gun back. Wolfgang isn't able to lie to him in the moment because Stein reminds him of his father. Once Stein backs up and gives his gun back to one of his men, Wolfgang retrieves the gun and begins to shoot at Stein's men. He takes a few out and hides behind the car to continue shooting at the men. Stein and the remaining men begin to drive away in but Wolfgang retrieves a bazooka from the boot of his car and takes them out. Lito rejoices in Wolfgang's success and Wolfgang thanks Lito for his help. Wolfgang advises Lito that after making a large mistake, he has the choice to either live with it or fix it. Lito then calls Hernando one more time and assures him that he will fix the terrible mistake he has made.

Will is preparing for the fourth of July and Riley is going to see her father play in concert. They visit one another and will tells her about the the visit from Jonas. Jonas said it was dangerous for Riley to be in Iceland. Riley says that Yrsa said the same thing, and also warned that Jonas had worked with BPO. Riley thanks Will for his help in getting her back to Iceland to reunite with her father and the two kiss.

Lito stops at a bar and apologises to a gay bartender he had once been homophobic towards in an outburst meant to cover his own closeted status. He then heads to Joaquin's house in order to get Daniela back. Joaquin attacks Lito when his blackmail is no longer effective. Lito is roughed up, as he's not a skilled fighter. Daniela hits Joaquin with a shovel but he hits her too, knocking her to the ground. When Lito sees Joaquin dragging Daniela by her hair, Wolfgang arrives to help Lito fight Joaquin. Wolfgang knocks Joaquin unconscious and Lito is able to leave safely with Daniela.

Will spends the fourth of July watching the fireworks with his father. Capheus and Sun visit to watch the fireworks too. Nomi and Amanita make love at home.

Lito arrives at Hernando's home with his beaten face. When he reveals how he fought to get Daniela back, and reveals that Daniela is with him Hernando is overjoyed and gets back together with Lito.

Riley attends the concert and watches her father play Beethoven's "Emperor Concerto" while accompanied with a symphony. The other sensates also appear and enjoy the music. As the music plays, each of the sensates begins to relive the memories of their births. As the song ends, Riley passes out with blood pouring from her nose down her face.
