Dylan Bruce and Parisa Fitz-Henley are no strangers to passionate fans of genre material. Bruce spent three seasons on the popular BBC America series Orphan Black while Fitz-Henley appeared as Luke Cage's wife Reva Connors on both Netflix-Marvel series Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

Bruce is amused when it's pointed out to him that he has hopped from one character with a funny name ("Big Dick" Paul) to another ("Bobo"). "Bobo is actually derived from the French word 'beau' which is 'handsome' so I'll take it. There's worse things to be called."

Fitz-Henley is more than happy to join in at poking fun at Bruce. "I wish they could've gotten a handsome guy, though. That would've been helpful. They were like, 'He's such a good actor it doesn't matter that he's not that good-looking.'"

Of course they are more than professional enough to also introduce their characters. Bruce begins by introducing Bobo Winthrop. "He's the proprietor of the local pawn shop that's been there since the late 1800's. There's a lot of interesting relics in there. He comes to Midnight to escape a nefarious past that ends up catching up with him and jeopardising everything he's built in Midnight. He's a good guy but if you mess with his peeps he'll mess with you back."

I play Fiji Cavanugh," begins Fitz-Henley. "I'm a witch in the town. I didn't grow up there but I grew up with a relationship with the town. It's become my real home and I protect it as much as I can with whatever I can and I protect it's inhabitants however I can. This guy, Bobo, is Fiji's best friend and she's head over heels in love with him but for a very, very, very, very, very big reason she can't ever let him know."

"But Bobo's a dodo, he thinks she's out of his league so we got that going on. Fiji's out of everyone's league, man. She's in a world of her own," beams Bruce.

"You see our friendship develop and go through the ups and downs that a friendship goes through but in Charlaine Harris land, those ups and downs are pretty intense," says Fitz-Henley.

The show offers not only a diverse cast bringing to life romance, action, and all the supernatural goodness one would expect from a Charlaine Harris property adapted for live-action. It also brings social commentary that relates a world of fantasy to the world of the viewers.

"I think it's really important in this day and age to have that," says Bruce. "I'm glad we have our little things that we add in there that people will catch onto. It's all about togetherness though."

Fitz-Henley was amazed at just how much the show's writing related to socially relevant issues, even before certain topics became as big in the news and social discourse. "I saw things that were reflected in the society around us after we shot them, where I was like, 'Wait, where did you get that from?' Because it's in the news today and we're shooting it today so you wrote it months ago. I feel like our writing team is so on point and so cares about what's happening in the world that you see it come through in what we do."

Bruce gets exposed for being a bit of an overachiever in his extensive preparation for the role. Sarah Ramos, who plays Creek on the series, had claimed in an earlier interview that Bruce finished reading all three of the books of the series in one day. "I don't think it was one day," says a bashful Bruce.

Fitz-Henley is quick to chime in on the matter. "How did you know he was an overachiever? He is!"

"Not only the Midnight books, Bobo's in a different series called the Lily Bard series and I read those as well," continues Bruce.

"And then he read all the books that his character reads," adds Fitz-Henley.

"Yeah, I did cause he likes Jack Reacher. I like to read!" admits Bruce.

Fitz-Henley may not be as voracious a reader as Bruce but she had her own back-knowledge that further incentivised her to joining Midnight, Texas. "I wasn't as familiar with Charlaine Harris' writing as I was with Monica Breen's work. I'm huge into Lost, huge into Fringe, so when I saw she was doing this, I was just like, 'Oh my god! This is crazy! I really want to work with her!' I just had this every strong, intuitive feeling that this was the right project for me."

Charlaine Harris is best known to television viewers for True Blood, an HBO series adapted from The Southern Vampire Mysteries that she wrote. Now the public will be treated to another romantic supernatural series that she wrote, Midnight, Texas. The series was brought to SDCC 2017, which is nothing new for Harris after all the visits True Blood had during its run.

Harris enters the process of having another of her properties adapted for television with considerably more experience this time around. "True Blood wasn't a big hit right away. It had to grow by word of mouth. So I had a little while to get used to it being on everybody's lips and then of course there people who just hated it. When I sold my house in Arkansas, they had it exorcised. I'm so bad! I felt pretty badass after that. I think I learned with True Blood, I was totally new to the industry, I had never met an actor, I had never met anybody like Alan Ball. He's a unique guy, one of a kind, I just think the world of him. But I had never met anyone in the entertainment industry before so I was terrified and that doesn't help. And now I feel just very causal about meeting people who are in entertainment and not being scared really helps."

Harris isn't involved much with the details of how her books are adapted to work for television, but Harris has no issues with this. "I'm not really involved because they have to make the decision that's right for television viewing. I made all the book decisions a hundred percent so I am glad to leave the making of the television show to them. They're the experts, I'm not, and I don't want to."

Midnight, Texas being adapted for NBC means a considerably less gratuitous approach to the violent and provocative aspects of the novels compared to True Blood. "David Janollari (executive producer) was very enthusiastic about the material and so was Monica. The first prerequisite is people who really love the material. I felt confident that they would stick to the spirit of the books and they have. I think that's really all I can ask. As for being a little less graphic, I'm kind of glad about that. I'm certainly no prude but sometimes on True Blood, as lovely as those people are, really it was the graphic quality of the killing scenes that bothered me a little bit more. So I wanted to cover my eyes. For NBC, it's pretty much pushing the envelope, though. I've seen the first six episodes and I'm still happy about it!"

Harris now refrains from projecting much when waiting to see how this new adaption turns out. "I don't have expectations anymore because I'm waiting to be informed. I'm waiting to have that experience. Entertain me! Show me what you've got! And they have, I've been very pleased with it. It's a very good show."

Midnight, Texas offers a new experience for Harris as a writer in that the series mixes events from different books into the first season, as opposed to adapting the content of just one book per season. "That was really new to me. But there again I thought, well there are only three books. That's okay with me, really. It's not like they have to be sequential to make sense. They don't. So far I'm going,  'Okay, that was from book three, I think that was from book two,' but okay, it's all good."

With just three books worth of material to pull from and uncertainty about the longevity of the television series, which has only just begun airing, there is a possibility of the show-runners having to create more substantial quantities of completely new events and characters. "I don't doubt that Monica can make up enough good stuff to fill it up. I have no doubts about her creativity at all. I really hope the cast and crew, I hope they're all employed for many years."

Harris hopes that having her work adapted for live-action hasn't changed her style of writing. "I don't think you can write thinking, 'Maybe this will be on TV someday,' and try to make your book more action-figure type than it would necessarily be. That's not my job. My job is to write the best book I can, fulfill my contract with the reader, which is to provide them with the best book, the most entertaining book I can write. Anything after that is beyond my control."

Harris no longer takes part in the practice of imagining certain actors to portray the characters she has created. "I kind of gave that up along with True Blood too. I want them to cast the best person for the role, not the one who looks most like the character in the books and inevitably, I would think about someone who looked like the character as I described them. I think you have to be able to see beyond that to the actor who can carry that character for several seasons if need be and I hope they will have to."

Harris is also full of praise for the Midnight, Texas cast. "I'm on board! Of course Peter was in True Blood also and so I knew he was good and he's got that gravitas. I'm so impressed with Yul as the Reverend. There again he's not the stick-like elver man I described but he's got the presence, huge presence. Oh and Jason as the angel, oh my gosh! He's so good. They're all good! Dylan and Parisa and Sarah and of course François, I really think they've gotten a really cohesive group that all stick up for each other."

The plot and greater themes of Midnight, Texas are highly relevant to the currently tumultuous sociopolitical climate of the world. It's a strength that gives the content greater weight and a means of connecting to the audience. "I think you write what's really pressing in you. I think the fact that people need to band together to present a united front is pretty important, especially now. When [I] write, I always have a message. Whether people get it or not is kind of up to them. If people just want to read the books for entertainment, that too is fine cause books are entertainment. I'm in the entertainment industry anyway. But I do have a message and I really hope it resonates with people and it gives them a minute to think about it. I'm not a preacher. I think that people who feel like they're outcasts or different or not mainstream for whatever reason can find family and likemindedness with each other. That's not exactly a new or startling message but it seems like a message that needs repeating."

François Arnaud and Sarah Ramos are two of the leading stars on NBC's enticing new supernatural drama series "Midnight, Texas", adapted from the novels penned by Charlaine Harris. Arnaud plays Manfred Bernado, a psychic-medium new to the town of Midnight, while Ramos plays Creek, a waitress residing in Midnight who meets Manfred when he arrives. Both actors took the time to introduce their characters at the show's round-table interviews at SDCC 2017.

"I play Creek," begins Ramos. "She is one of the only people in town who was raised in Midnight. She doesn't really have any supernatural powers but she's really familiar with them. She grew up, it's not like anybody comes here and they're like, 'I'm a were-tiger." You just kind of figure it out by trial and error of living in Midnight. So Creek's really got the rules of Midnight down pat. There's kind of a question of if she doesn't have supernatural powers and everybody in Midnight is running from something or has a secret or a supernatural power, what is she doing there?"

"I play Manfred, who's a newcomer to Midnight," adds Arnaud. "He's a medium, he's had very powerful psychic abilities for a long time but he still doesn't control them very well. Ghosts and spirits have been taking over his body. He's been on the run from people he may or may not have hurt or scammed and he's trying to find a place to rest, and find peace of mind in Midnight. Little does he know the town is populated with a bunch of incredibly powerful, scary beings."

Being that the characters were first introduced in Charlaine Harris' novels, the actors must gauge how much to draw from the novels when creating portrayals in the live-action adaptations. "I think we have a loyalty to Charlaine's origin story and the characters that she created," says Arnaud. "But it's a new entity and we also have a loyalty to the scripts themselves and the tone of the show which I think is faster-paced than the books and at times darker and more violent. But physically, there are some changes. I think we try to stay true to the essence of these characters and their relationships."

"I think Charlaine created really cool characters that we were all excited to play," says Ramos. "I think Creek is a little bolder in the show than she is in the book but then again in the book there's a scene where Manfred's getting attacked by a biker or something and she comes up and hits him with a chair. I think she has really short, black hair in the book so there are physical changes but we tried to do our best to serve the characters that we really liked."

"Yeah, Manfred's supposed to be covered in tattoos and piercings, and have bleached blond hair. They wanted to go in a different direction," adds Arnaud.

"Like Spike from Buffy!" chimes Ramos.

"I got a few studs and earrings," says Arnaud. "I have a big tattoo on my back but they're covering it for the show. They're giving me new ones."

As True Blood was broadcast on HBO, there was no shortage of gratuitous displays of sexuality and violence. But with Midnight, Texas being an NBC series, the approach to the more sensual material must be approached differently.

"You can't show as much on network TV as you can on cable," says Ramos. "But sometimes less is more. We have a shower scene pretty quickly."

"I think there's definitely a lot of romance," adds Arnaud. "The dynamic is still steamy. A lot of the sexuality is implied more than shown, but... sexuality, I can't believe I said 'sexuality'. I think it is very sensual."

"Everybody's got a flame. Midnight is a very romantic town," says Ramos.

Adapting a fan-favourite series from novel to live-action can pose a number of challenges. Midnight, Texas is based on a set of three novels from Charlaine Harris, who is best known to television viewers for being the author of The Southern Vampire Mysteries which were adapted into the HBO series True Blood.

Monica Owusu-Breen was at the helm of developing Midnight, Texas into a television series and was drawn to the material for the characters themselves as well as the manner in which she related to the characters. "I fell in love with these characters, I fell in love with their relationships, I fell in love with their love stories. So that was super important. We took parts of the first book and the third book for the massive plot of the season. In terms of the individuals stories, Midnight, Texas, one of the beautiful things about it is it's a tiny little town and so it moves at a tiny town pace. When we adapted it for NBC, they asked if we could add incident. It was about adding more than subtracting. It was about keeping true the heart and the spirit of Midnight and its characters but adding more plot and incident."

"We both fell in love with the books immediately so we came at it from a place of fondness and admiration," adds producer Mark Hentemann. "You'll see throughout the course of the first ten episodes, there's so many things that are pulled from all three of the books and there's still a lot more left for a second season, a third season, and a fourth season but like in any adaptation, a writer needs to run with it and turn it into a living, three-dimensional show so a lot of it is also inventive."

Midnight, Texas not only combines a diverse group of supernatural types, from vampires, were-tigers, angels, psychics, and witches, the representation expands to more resonant social groups such as race, gender, and sexuality. Owusu-Breen shares how inclusivity is an essential message to the show's writing. "The heart of the show, the theme of the show, that a group of very diverse people who have different talents, who bring different things to bear, who are really different from each other but can come together to form a community that has each other's back in the face of adversaries, that to me felt so perfect and beautiful and representative of what I want to see on television."

"The tagline 'Only Outsiders Fit In' really resonated with us when [the] marketing team came up with that. We kind of feel like Midnighters ourselves in the real world,"says Hentemann.

Tonight starts our featured character episodes, and its gonna be a good one!

Creek and Manfred are running through the streets from something. Manfred has a deep gash in his side, that Creek tends to in his RV. Their kiss gets interrupted a second time but the beast rocking the RV. Manfred gives her a knife, he's new to Texas. He asks his grandma for help, but she just tells him to run.

24 hours earlier. Manfred chugs pills. He doesn't understand why his grandma Xylda sent him there. He was looking for a quiet retreat, not a house infested. Xylda was trying to give him people. He needs someone now that she's dead. She tells him to let his freak flag fly. There's no need to be normal anymore.

The other main Midnighters are all meeting together. They're upset that Bobo was taken, and that they're now on the Police radar. Manfred arrives and tells the group that he needs help. He's got a demonic presence at his house. Lemuel is out since the sun is set to rise soon, but the rest are willing and able.

Bobo get interrogated by the Sheriff. He noticed that the town wasn't too fond of Aubrey. Bobo knows that the town is easily misunderstood, but they're good people. The Sheriff asks if it was in his head that his friend tried to crush his car with her mind. Bobo doesn't know what he's talking about. The deputy has an idea. She sticks him in with a bunch of Sons of Lucifer. Bobo doesn't object. When they shut the door, Bobo is surrounded, but he's still not concerned. He beats up all of the Sons of Lucifer, and tells them to leave him alone. He didn't kill Aubrey.

Olivia walks with the Reverend to the chapel. She tells him that its too early to lock him away, but he insists. There are too many outsiders around, and he's fond of his home.

Manfred, Joe, and Fiji return to Manfred's home. Fiji can feel the bad energy. Manfred is looking for Aubrey, he finds her in the corner, and tells her that Bobo has been arrested for her death. She looks more distraught than normal. He invites her into his body so he can see her death. He sees flashes of events leading up to her death, including her drowning. Manfred collapses as Aubrey drowns, and Fiji and Joe watch.

Manfred awakens at Fiji's. It's quiet there. Fiji admits that mediums don't stay there long, that it must be hard with the veil so thin. Manfred tells her that he saw bikers. Fiji fills him in on the Sons of Lucifer, and how Aubrey was married to one. He's just as confused as everyone else about that bit of information. Fiji urges Manfred to do as he promised and tell the Sheriff what he saw to save Bobo. She heads to rid his house of what's under his floor with an exorcism.

Chewy sees Joe, and he's concerned. He asks if he went flying, and he did. With the murder of Aubrey, and Manfred's arrival, Joe's worried about the end of everything they love.

Manfred pays Creek a visit. She cuts their conversation short so as not to rouse her father's suspicions. They head to Davy. Manfred tells the Sheriff that the Sons of Lucifer are responsible, but he doesn't know who exactly since he never saw his face. The Sheriff wants more details, and so he gives him more, which leads the Sheriff to suspect him. Manfred is definitely not the killer, and he tells the Sheriff to keep looking, and he'll find the killer.

Joe and Manfred drive home, and Joe is a little impressed with his gall.

The Sheriff orders more extensive searching around Aubrey's murder scene. He gets an update on one of Sons of Lucifer. He's coming out of surgery after taking Bobo's beating. He suspends the Deputy immediately. She balks, prejudice of Midnighters. But the Sheriff isn't listening. The suspension is effective immediately.

The reverend sits nude in prayer.

Manfred asks Fiji if a mirror seance is a good idea. Fiji laughs, she can't see the dead, so she needs the help. She notices the medallion on the door, its very powerful, but that's for another time. Fiji starts the seance, but they're swirling around Manfred. He can be hijacked, but she can't so she suggests he leaves. He watches from the porch as Fiji works her magic.

The deputy is noising around Midnight, when a cat crosses her path. She disregards it and continues her snooping. She notices some chains on the cellar door and unlocks it. She heads down the steps, and finds a very large cow getting eaten by an enormous tiger.

Manfred finds the deputy's body in a tree. He runs into the diner. He tells Madonna who's trying to close down the place that she can't let anyone leave. She notices its a full moon, and agrees. Manfred is looking for Creek, but she's not there. He finds her cleaning up at her father's gas station. The tiger takes a swipe at Manfred as it runs by. They run through the garage and Creek drops a lifted car onto the tiger. It slows it down, but not for long. Manfred suspects that the Reverend is the tiger, which surprises Creek. The tiger gives chase, and the pair run.

Olivia notices that Lemuel is late. He's hungry, but she turns him down. She worked the shop all day, and she's tired. He smells blood a whole lot of it. The pair quickly track down the Tiger, and she shoots him. Olivia accuses Manfred of letting the Reverend out, but he's not the culprit. He shows her the deputy in the tree. It's a waste of blood and Lemuel notices Manfred's cut. Creek quickly gets Manfred to Madonna. Olivia and Lemuel arm up. Olivia grabs some silver bullets. They'd make Lemuel sick, but they'll kill the Reverend. Olivia is less than concerned about that now.

Madonna sews up Manfred. She's cares a lot for Creek, and she warns Manfred that he's brought nothing but a heap of trouble to town with him, but that he better not hurt Creek. He puts on a brave face for Creek, but his glowing house concerns him. He heads over to check on Fiji. The air is whirling around, as Fiji finishes cleansing his house. She's gotten rid of most of the things haunting his house. The glowy floor is still there, and its super easy. Manfred urges her to leave, but the floor monster calls to her. It wants her, and doesn't need Manfred. It throws his straight out of the door. Manfred is locked out of his own house, as something has its way with Fiji. He manages to break in, but some force has her pinned. It puts her against the wall, but Manfred isn't powerful enough. He goes to his RV. Xylda asks him what he's doing with his great great grandmother's skull. He rushes back into the house, and uses the skull to get rid of the entity. Fiji isn't hurt, just shaken. Manfred's home is finally clean. Fiji needs to go home, for a bath. Manfred tells her that she can't leave, that the Reverend has escaped.

Fiji calls Olivia. She hasn't found him yet. Fiji and Manfred decide to take the ranches. They find his likely kill zone quickly. The Reverend still in tiger form stalks out of the woods. Olivia and Lemuel arrive soon after. Olivia has her sight on the tiger. Lemuel takes on the tiger. He throws him aside easily. Manfred runs in to see if Lemuel is okay, he is. Olivia is prepared to end the fight quickly, but Lemuel doesn't want to kill the reverend. He's not himself at the moment. Lemuel chokes the Tiger, leaving him unconscious.

As the sun rises, the Reverend transforms from a tiger, back to his nude human form. Manfred covers him with his jacket, as Olivia welcomes him back. Things aren't ok though, he remembers.

Joe watches from his shop window.

Bobo gets released. The Sheriff tells him that his neighbor helped get him released. A Sons of Lucifer jacket was found, and on that jacket was one of Aubrey's hair. Her husband is now the prime suspect, and the Sheriff urges him to call if he sees him.

The Reverend lays the Deputy to rest. He hasn't killed in a long time, and he's concerned. The bull is usually enough to soothe him, and keep him sated, but that wasn't the case last night, and that has him worried.

At Fiji's, she stores away Manfred's hair. It seems the witch has a little bit of hair from everyone. The dark voice calls to Fiji, but before she can find where it's coming from, Bobo strolls in. He tells her the good news, that he was released. But its not over for him. Aubrey's husband is still on the loose.

The Sheriff goes to his car, and it explodes. The Sons of Lucifer aren't happy about him releasing Bobo. Aubrey's killer rides off.

Joe tells Chewy about his concerns. The Veil is slowly tearing. There is a prophecy that one with vision can lead an army to seal the Veil. Joe was there the last time that the Veil ripped, but he believes that Manfred may be that man with the Vision.

Bobo delivers a thank you sign for Manfred. He's super thankful for what Manfred did. Creek and Manfred finally get to share that kiss, and its only slightly because she's rebelling against her papa.

Chewy takes in the horror of Joe's paining, surprised that Manfred is what stands between them and hell.

Midnight, Texas introduces viewers to a small town predominantly populated by supernatural beings, including vampires, witches, and psychic mediums. There are non-supernatural humans living there as well but for the most part, all are aware of the existence of the supernatural. It's a haven of sorts from the larger world's lack of knowledge of or acceptance of the existence of the supernatural. It's socially relevant parallel to today's tense sociopolitical climate, something series stars Jason Lewis and Yul Vazquez greatly appreciate about the project.

"I'm a geek from the time I was a kid," says Lewis. "I took refuge in story, in libraries and movie theatres. I think as great as it is to be entertaining, that's where story really serves humanity. It lets us know we're not alone. Just because you don't fit in with the people that are immediately in your circumstances doesn't mean you can't find circumstances that you do."

"To have a place where everyone is accepted, particularly with everything that's going on now, everything we're seeing now where people are not only not accepted but being ejected, this is a town where you can live there as you are as long as you don't make any trouble. The only trouble we deal with are outside forces that threaten the existence of this peaceful place. Just behave." Vazquez plays Rev. Emilio Sheehan, a weretiger that struggles to accept his condition, though he cares deeply for his fellow Midnighters. "He goes to Midnight out of necessity. The fact that he has this dual nature where he becomes this tiger and he becomes a reverend and retreats to Midnight to deal with the fact that he has this dark nature that is violent that he is in conflict with. Turning to God and retreating to Midnight are how he copes with this other side."

Just as the residents of Midnight become a family, the cast of the series has bonded over the course of filming. "We shoot in a place that's very isolated," says Vazquez. "There's really not a lot to do and we spend a lot of time with each other. We had very, very long days. Everybody was very cordial and nice to each other. We really just got along and showed up there and got the job done."

"This is a really blessed situation to have so many great people and I think it certainly starts all the way back to Charlaine," adds Lewis. "Charlaine is an incredible, decent human being and so is Monica Owusu-Breen who is our show-creator who took the material and turned it into the TV series. From the very top of our production down through the lines of every department, it seems they just gathered a great group of people that really care about the work and have their humanity well intact."

Our episode opens with a shot of the city. Manfred brushes his teeth, with a recent gun shot wound to the back. He opens the door to his client, all smiles and big teeth. Rachel is friendly enough, having frequented Manfred's before. His fee has gone up, but Rachel is more than happy to pay. In candlelight, Manfred channel's her dead husband Harold. He tells her that Harold doesn't want her to grieve forever, and she confesses that she's seeing someone. When Rachel reveals the name of her new love the candles go out, and Harold appears. Manfred tells him not to cross, tries to get the spirit to stay back, but Harold takes over Manfred. He's very unhappy that Rachel has chosen his former partner. Manfred struggles against Harold, while Harold threatens to kill Rachel to reunite them. Manfred finally gets control back, ending the session. Harold still hates change. Manfred swallows a handful of pills, as he gets a phone call. The caller thinks Manfred has been hiding from him. Manfred promises to pay him back, but the caller tells him its too late.

Manfred cuts the call short, and high tails it out of there. In his RV his dead grandma pays him a visit. Harold high jacking his body isn't the first. Grandma Xylda thinks this could be a good thing, that he needs to settle down. Manfred would be more assured if that was coming from the living.

Manfred rolls into Midnight, Texas, and we get a quick glimpse of some of the residents. As he gets out of his RV he's nearly ran down by Olivia “the musician pawning a trumpet.”She closes the door behind her and removes the short firey wig she was wearing.

Manfred makes his way into the pawn shop, and is accosted by the past of each of the objects. From dolls with memories of drowned children, to chairs of bitter abandoned old women, to guns that have seen war. It's no fun being a psychic. Bobo appears, and is happy to bring him to his new home. Bobo shows Manfred around, admitting that he checked him out. Bobo offers him a month of free rent if he helps him find his fiance who ran out a few weeks ago. Manfred tries to downplay his gifts, and Bobo leaves him to settle in. Fiji has left him a plate of cookies as a welcome to the neighborhood gift. Manfred bites into the cookie.

Night falls, and Manfred heads to the local diner. The Reverend dines alone, and the place is fairly busy. Manfred goes to place an order to go, and meets Creek. She leads him back to the Midnighter's room. The Midnighters eat together, except the reverend and everyone else is from the surrounding area. Manfred is introduced to the non musician, now blonde Olivia, and her dining companion the piercing blue eyed Lemuel. Manfred leaves himself in Creek's hands for ordering as he ogles her as she leaves. Lemuel warns Manfred that she has a pretty protective papa. Olivia takes a stroll as Manfred sits. Lemuel tells Manfred that he works under the pawn shop. Creek finds Manfred very interesting, though the other waitress warns her that he's obviously running from something. Lemuel's touch leeches Manfred of his strength, turning him a ghastly grey. He needed his strength, as some patrons get a little handsy with Creek. Lemuel is a vampire. While blood is always on the menu, a little energy leeching will feed him as well, and help him control his bloodlust. Creek brings Manfred's pot roast, and he ravages it. Creek asks about taking Manfred to the town picnic, but Manfred makes excuses. Lemuel tells Manfred that Midnight is very different in the daylight.

At the picnic, Olivia catches Fiji admiring Bobo. He's a beautiful man, no one can blame the girl for looking. Olivia is less than pleased to see Manfred coming to the picnic, but Fiji assures her that Manfred is no problem. If he was, he'd be tossing the spelled cookies she left him. The girls go to see why the dog won't stop barking, and they discover the body of Bobo's very dead fiance, Aubrey. Aubrey's bloated face turns towards Manfred. The police arrive soon, and tell the town they are not to leave without permission.

One deputy talks with Manfred, confused as to why anyone would move to Midnight. She's unsurprised that a murder hadn't happened sooner. She points out Fiji, telling him that its rumored that shes a witch or lesbian. Manfred jokes that she may be both. The Deputy doesn't find it funny.

Another questions Bobo. His fiance left, and yet he didn't report her missing. She didn't have much, and she left after a fight. He thought she just left him. Fiji watches the interrogation in distress for Bobo. Olivia hopes that Bobo doesn't reveal something he can't take back. She has no love loss for Aubrey, noting she's trouble even in death.

That night as Manfred tries to sleep, he's awoken but the sound of flies. He opens his eyes to see Aubrey staring at him. The floor of his room is covered in water. He tells her that she doesn't belong. She tries to communicate with him, but is choked by water unable to speak. On his window she writes help. He agrees to help her, but on his terms.

Bobo watches videos of Aubrey when she was still alive, one being when he proposed to her. Fiji brings him breakfast, but he's not up to eating. Fiji offers to just sit with him instead.

Manfred heads to the creepy chapel. The inside is no less creepy, but he needs holy water. The reverend asks him if he's taking holy water, and Manfred is taken a back for a moment, but the Reverend wasn't stopping him. Instead he finishes filling his flask for him, and invites him to Sunday service.

Bobo remembers how Aubrey wanted a bunch of kids. He and Fiji laugh about it, as the Sheriff arrives. Fiji goes to leave, but Bobo asks her to stay. Aubrey's autopsy has been completed. She was shot, but died of drowning, but that's not all. Aubrey was married five years ago, to a member of the Sons of Lucifer. Her husband has recently been released, but they don't know where he is. The Sheriff urges Bobo to no try to handle this on his own, to call the police if anything happens.

Manfred casts his circle, and calls out to Aubrey. He tells her to stay out of his circle as they communicate via ouija. She spells out PECADOS. Other spirits appear, all desperate for help. He tells the others that they're not welcome. His floor lights from below, it buckles as the spirit activity gets stronger. Manfred gets out in a hurry before any of them can high jack him. None of the spirits are able to disturb him further thanks to a medallion on the door knob.

The Sheriff and his deputies go to gather more information about Aubrey. She saw the Reverend, but she'd rather talk directly to God. Fiji doesn't have a bad thing to say about her, even if she did lie. The sheriff points out that there were ritualistic killing, but the Reverend thinks it was just wicked. The deputy asks Fiji about animal killing and Witchcraft. Fiji doesn't bite. All serial killers start out with small critters, but there hasn't been a Wiccan in the lot she names. Aubrey didn't confide in either of Chewy the manicurist, or Joe the tattoo artist. The deputy heads to Manfred's. He's a little shaken and shifty after dealing with all the spirits. She doesn't trust him, but he wants to prove himself. He asks if Pecados means anything.

Manfred heads to Pecados with the Sheriff and deputy. It's a dam. The Deputy isn't taking Manfred very seriously until a gun is recovered. Back at Midnight, Olivia watches Manfred talk with the deputy. He's now apart of the investigation, and warned against leaving town.

Fiji's cat is also keeping a watch on Manfred.

Manfred heads into the RV to chat with his Granny. He thought he would be safe in Midnight, she thought he wouldn't conjure up evil spirits. She tells him that Midnight isn't the same as most places. Olivia bangs on the floor. She heard voices. He's surprised, he thought she was avoiding her. She was until now. She knocks him out.

Fiji pays Olivia a visit, and is curious by all the noise in her apartment. It's a stripped down Manfred, tied to a chair making all the noise. She was searching him for a wire. Now with Fiji, and a just awakened Lemuel by her side she questions why Manfred is in Midnight. She questions if her father sent him. Lemuel is bored and hungry. Fiji worries about Manfred. Manfred tells them that his grandmother sent him there, but she was kind of a liar. Lemuel knows Xylda, and wonders why anyone would want her dead. She ran a lot of scams, and when she died, he received the fallout. Olivia doesn't buy his story. It still doesn't explain the sheriff. He didn't want to reveal his secrets, so he revealed Aubrey. Manfred tells her to let him go or finish it. Lemuel tells her to let him go. Manfred and others like him are drawn to Midnight. Its relatively safe for all of them. The veil between the living and the dead is very thin though, and that worries Manfred. He understands why Xylda liked Midnight, but now he just wants to go home. Lemuel is understanding. Midnight is usually a quiet and peaceful town or was.

Bobo gets a visit by Aubrey's husband and his friend. Bobo isn't up for their crap, but they think he killed her for the guns and money. Olivia shoots one, and Lemuel kills another. Lemuel sends Bobo to bed, while Olivia cleans up the one body. He tries to get information out of the one Olivia shot, but he's only spewing crap about the Sons of Lucifer coming to get revenge. Lemuel uses him as a warm meal rather than listening to his drivel.

Manfred stops in for a coke at Creek's family gas station. She questions his cuts, but he brushes it off as just a flesh wound. Creek is still disturbed by what she saw. Her father sees her talking to Manfred, and sends Creek away, doing the tough dad talk with Manfred.

On his way home, Manfred sees some blood leaking from under the Reverend's truck tarp. He doesn't question it though.

In his RV he gets a call from his mystery voice. He's getting closer to finding Manfred. Creek comes a knocking, apologizing for the cold shoulder she gave him in front of her dad. She sits with Manfred and has a beer, opening up to him. She wants to go back to school, maybe leave. In school she was labeled a freak since she lived in Midnight, but now she sees the Midnighters as family.

She knows he knows about Lem, but she also tells him about fallen Angel Joe in the tattoo parlor.

Can we all admit that his wing arms look ridiculous. Please fix that Midnight, Texas.

Joe watches over them all, and is willing to lend a hand. Shes not sure what brought him and Chewy there though.

Bobo never talks about where he came from or his family. But he's sweet and kind and so honest. Creek isn't sure about the Reverend, but knows he's more than he seems. He's obsessed with his pet cementary, and shes seen him lift a grave stone out of the ground with his bare hands.

Fiji is more than a new age cat lady, but she doesn't have a mean bone in her body. Fiji sits on the floor. She removes some of Aubrey's hair, burning it. Her cat tells her that burning Aubrey's hair won't change anything.

And then there's Olivia. She's got more secrets than anyone. Olivia passes on a lot of money. She heads into her secret room full of guns. Lemuel checks on body disposal. It went down without a hitch. Lemuel asks about her phone call. It was for a very lucrative hit, but she had to turn it down since she has to notify the police when she leaves. Lemuel notices that she's a bit angry, and offers to take that anger away. She's relieved, having been waiting for him to offer. The pair strip down, and he grabs her in the sexiest leeching ever seen on tv. Even if she does turn a little blue, its much sexier than a bite to the neck.

Back to Creek and Manfred. Midnight is full of freaks, but its home. Creek has already googled him, knowing that he's a gypsy fortune telling. She asks if its real. Sometimes its just theater. Creek asks if he will read her fortune. He doesn't want to, but agrees to do it old school. He reads her palm. She'll have a long interesting life, and eventually meet her soulmate, maybe has already met them. The pair go to kiss after that bit of theatrics, but are interrupted by some blue and red lights.

All of Midnight come out as Bobo is arrested for Aubrey's murder. The town know that Bobo is innocent, and they block the road, even as the Sheriff demands that they clear the road. They put Bobo in the back of the car, but Fiji isn't willing to let him go. She stops the car, lifting it with her magic. The Reverend pleas to her. He won't be able to help her tomorrow. He'll be out of commission. Olivia begs her to be smart. Even Manfred tells her he thinks he can help. Finally Fiji releases the car, and the sheriff high tails it out of there. Manfred returns home to find the spirits have taken over. Home may not be so safe anymore.

This pilot for Midnight, Texas shows a lot of potential. The cast has great chemistry, and a very interesting world full of possibility. This show will definitely be on our roster all season. Last year we did a wish list for True Blood, and let’s just see how we stacked up to what really happened.

The End of Bill, Billith, Or Whatever The Hell He Is : Well, Billith came to an end, but Bill remains. This one was a fail. Not only did Bill find a way back to redemption yet again, he’s poised for center stage yet again. -1

More supernatural Creatures : No new supernatural creatures were introduced, only a different kind of hybrid. While Bradford really wanted to see this one, I’m kinda glad it didn’t happen, if only because the canvas is already a bit too crowded. -1

Give Alcide A Better Story : This one we got in spades, sort of, and I can’t say I really enjoyed it for the most part. While Alcide got more story, the quality was lacking. Turning a beloved character against his nature so that when he finally reverts back to the good guy he was doesn’t really count as character development. Still as Sookie’s current main squeeze he has time for a decent storyline. +1

More interaction with other kingdoms : Everything came back to Bon Temps, which is pretty fitting since that’s where it all started. But we did get some memorable moments from Sarah Newlin and Rev. Steve Newlin, which were wishes shoved into that category, so I’m calling this one a win for us. +1

Give Eric back his balls : For better or worse, Eric and Sookie became untangled, but he did kinda get his groove back. Ok, not fully, but some of that devilishly playfulness that he was so lacking these past few seasons was back, and I would count that as a win in any book. +1

Hybrid babies : While there were no new hybrid babies on the scene, Andy’s fairy babies did play a role. I thought they could have, and should have played a bigger better role, but obviously giving us what we want isn’t what the True Blood writers are here for. -1

Don't let Jason backslide :  Jason did not backslide! Jason recovered from his head trauma induced bigotry and became a vampire’s bitch. Begrudgingly this one is a win. +1

Pam and Tara's Relationship : I think this was the biggest disappointment of last season. I blinked and missed practically everything of this relationship. It was constantly shelved and pushed aside for something else. While seeing more of Pam and Eric’s relationship is always fun, totally sidelining this one was a shame. -1

Think Outside of the Box with Warlow : Outside the box, they definitely went, but the wrap up was just plain disappointing. Warlow was the fairy hybrid we wanted, but like Eric, once paired with Sookie he was utterly neutered, and ineffective. +1

More Sookie : We got more Sookie, with a story line that was along the lines of same old, same old, just with a different love interest. Sookie’s magic vagina pulled in another person, but since it wasn’t Bill it couldn’t work out. +1

Final Score: 6/10  So if this were a test it would have been a fail. As a wishlist, it really isn’t too shabby, you know if you overlook the fact that even when we technically got what we wished for, it didn’t really turn out how we wanted. But 2014 is a new year, and there for a new wish list! Wish us luck!

It's been a few weeks since the True Blood finale, plenty of time to processed over things, and begin to feel the withdrawal start to set in. But, I'm not ready to let go quite yet, and neither is my fellow blogger Brad. So, today we're going to go over the top 10 things we'd like to see for season 6, in no particular order.

The End of Bill, Billith, Or Whatever The Hell He Is
Sue:  For good or bad, Alan Ball is gone, and I think it's time his whole love affair with Bill ended as well. Don't get me wrong, Stephen Moyer is phenomenal, but I've disliked, have even loathed Bill at times, and this season pushed me way over the edge. I'm talking short trip to crazy town, over the edge. I don't care if Bill can be redeemed, or not, stake Billith, rent a unicorn if he has to go out in grand Pumbah style because he's a freakin' god or whatever, just get it over already. I'm so over this religious storyline. I know Ball always believed Bill and Sookie were soulmates, but he was wrong, let's kill Bill, get rid of the evidence and move on to a better soulmate.

Brad: I have to agree. Stake Bill Please. He really chapped my ass this season with his holier then thou attitude. And the whole Sookie and Bill love story is done. Trying to revive it is like flogging a dead horse. Its pretty obvious that Sookie and Eric are meant to be. If not please explain the whole love hate between Sookie and Eric that would make for a good story line.

Sue: Exactly, Eric and Sookie's love affair really needs to play out properly, I'm not saying their soulmates, but their story hasn't been played out yet, I'll get to that in a little bit.

More supernatural Creatures

Brad:  We need more Supernatural Creatures to fill out the story lines. I would love to see more mythological creatures. Maybe see some Weretigers or Werebears and god knows what else you can think of. Maybe a wereunicorn so you use it to stake Bill with. Just a suggestion. Though I love the supernatural creatures we have now. They are starting to get boring and could use a change up. Would be nice to see more crazies like Russell using supernatural creatures to his/her advantage.

Sue: I'm a little mixed on this one. I still feeling a little burned by the disaster that was the werepanthers. That storyline was beyond disastrous, and so very disappointing. But a wereunicorn staking Bill, oh hells to the yes. That would be epic. Where I am on board to introducing more Sups is Quinn, the sexy weretiger that is a big ball of trouble. Readers of the books either loved or hated him, and adding another sexy body to the mix would be awesome if it were done right.

Give Alcide A Better Story

Sue: I adore Joe Manganiello, in fact I love his character so much so that I have a yorkie named Alcide, and although I admittedly squeal a little inside every time he's onscreen he needs something more to do. He spent the second half of this season drinking beer and breaking rocks in and around his daddy's trailer, and as much as I enjoyed watching him swing a pick, it was a waste of time. There are plenty of ways to get Alcide out of his shirt, and give him something fun to do. The Scooby Doo mystery search at the beginning of season was an absolute highlight, but it went straight downhill from then. And, him using V. Seriously? V pretty much screwed his world, the man used a wok for who knows how long to cook with because of it and then he'd use it to save his pack? I just don't really buy it, it goes so far against his moral fiber. And we totally missed out on an opportunity for a Rocky training montage. Plus, the whole fight with JD, it was a little too clean, it felt too hollow. It was over entirely way too quickly. I'm not saying that Alcide needs to actively court Sookie to make me happy next season, but let's bring him back into the main part of the storyline, or give the wolves something interesting enough to do so they remain relevant. This whole season has been a snoozefest where the wolves are concerned, let them go to war against the vampires or each other, or something! Now that would be a bloody season.

Brad: Yes, we need to give Alcide a better storyline. Now that he is pack master he needs to really establish his character more. Not sure I agree with the whole Werewolf/Vampire war but, maybe introduce a new threat to the were's where it would make for an interesting story line. Would love to see a worthy Were Bitch for Alcide. Enough with the V whores. You have the opportunity to do so much with the Were's now that Alcide is pack master. I mean hell you guys could even do a spin off which could follow after Trueblood. having guest stars from one show, make appearances that way we are not have horrible withdrawals'.

More interaction with other kingdoms

Brad: I know the bible belt States are not the only kingdoms. I want to see some serious fall out from the fall of the Authority. Now that there is no Authority, Kings and Queens throughout the world are going to be vying for that position. You caused a power vacuum and its going to be filled by who?? Billith?? I sure as hell hope not. Its going to be mayhem and you need to bring on the CRAZIES, we all love a good crazy running amuck. So far its as if you are playing it safe. OK, I get it we are hooked and wanting more. I understand that Bon Temps is the bases of the story line but come on a road trip every now and then would not harm the story line. I want to see alliances forming and bickering. This could tie in with the whole introduce more Sups. A sasquatch or snow beast. come on!! There is so much to do here. And its not like you guys are staying true to the books so a little more improv is alright. I mean keeping La La was the best move ever.

Sue: Agreed, there are like four kingdoms, maybe more, I really can't remember and we haven't really seen the others, and really this is the perfect opportunity to go semi back to the books. In book 7, All Together Dead, Sookie attends the vampire Summit. With the destruction of the Authority, it would be the perfect opportunity for the Kingdoms to get together and discuss some very pressing concerns. You, Brad, get your crazies and kingdoms. And since the Fellowship of the Sun is responsible for some pretty wicked mayhem in this one, it gives a chance for Michael McMillian's Rev. Steve Newlin to have a reason to be on the canvas, besides pining away for Jason, and maybe even bringing back Sarah for an episode or two because I just adore Anna Camp.

Give Eric back his balls

Sue: Alexander Skarsgård is phenomenal, I think we can both agree on that, but I feel like he's been neutered by Sookie. There is nothing sexier than when he has that sly manipulative smirk on his face. When was the last time that we saw that look? When was the last time he got a semi-prickish line? Pam is always going to have the best lines, but Eric's highlight lines shouldn't be when he's name calling with Alcide or Jason. Eric needs to be more commanding, more demanding. That dangerous predatory air that surrounded him, especially during season 1, has completely dissipated as he's become involved with Sookie. True, his character has grown, and we've seen plenty of facets of his character, but he's been utterly submissive lately. He's what like 800 some odd years older than Bill, and he lets him push him around? He needs to take control of the reigns, and become a real threat again, which is going to be a must if he wants to be with Sookie. Warlow is obviously going to be a huge threat this year, and Sookie is going to need someone smart and cunning to save her. Eric fits the bill, brains, strength, he has it all, he just needs to force Sookie's hand with a real relationship. And going back to All Together Dead, he can do just that starting with the blood bond, he'll just have to have the guts and cunning to do it. We need back the guy that was both really sexy and kinda scary, even while getting his hair did.

Brad: Ha Ha!!!! Seriously, yes, he does need his balls back. Sookie has been wearing them for way to long. Pam has been saying it for the last few seasons that Eric needs his balls back but this season it really showed. As much as we love Eric his character has gotten soft and he is not who we all fell in love with. Sue also made a good point, why in the hell is Billith bossing around Eric who has been around for a hell of a lot more years then he??? I am so confused on that one. Stake Billith, I know I had to just say it again.

Hybrid babies

Brad: With all the sex running rampid throughout the season why in the hell are there no hybrid babies. Seriously, fairies and humans can't be the only ones to be reproducing using the sex organs. I mean as much sex as Sookie has given that fairygina should be spewing out babies. I mean I totally loved this past season of Muerella just dropping babies out her fairygina like it was no bother. Why the hell is no one else dropping spawn??? I know I would love to see what happen with the Werepanther breed fest with Jason's seeds. As many girls as Jason has had relations with, I mean he is either sterile or one really lucky guy. Again another perfect possible way of introducing more SUPS. I mean I do not want it to turn in to one of those damn maternity shows and have baby daycares but damn all that sex and and only two ladies having babies. Arlene should be due to have another one. That is one busy Vajayjay too. She got how many baby daddies. Seriously she need to have one for her current man. Arlene pregnant is hilarious  I want to see Alcide and a good werebitch have puppies. It would give Alcide's character more depth.

Sue: This one I have to disagree with. There are already lots of kids on the show, Luna's daughter Emma, Holly's Boys, Arlene's trio of kids, and now Andy's quadruplets. And really, this is a show for adults, let's keep it that way. Sookie has only slept with vampires, so far, and well there's no babies happening there, except for the vampire progeny which are bitten not born, which there are a few. If there are gonna be babies, let them just be baby vamps. And I'd rather just forget that whole werepanther mess, rather than revisit it with a string of Jason's baby mama's, let's just pretend it never happened. Plus they explained how there would be no babies born out of that breeding program, since the entire town was so inbred they don't have babies often, as in hardly ever. So Jason not knocking up a single inbred white trash werepanther is not far fetched. Let it go. And, rather than saddling Alcide with a family, let's see him be a single guy playing the field for awhile. I'm okay with Alcide being a himbo for a season, I encourage it. He's the new Alpha, he's going to have a lot on his hands without introducing babies into the picture. And as much as I'd melt seeing a baby in Alcide's giant hands it would seriously kill the pace of the show. Plus, you have to remember that besides that year that Sookie was in fairy, most of the events on the show take place in a very small amount of time, so it would be a whole season of pregnancy, maybe even two before we saw an actual baby. No thank you.

Don't let Jason backslide

Sue: Serious exclamation points on this one. Out of all the characters on True Blood I think Jason has grown the most. He's still an airhead at times, but he's also become complex, and his farewell scenes with Hoyt this season were some of the most heart wrenching on the show. He doesn't have to have a relationship with Jessica, though they have great chemistry, but his head injury has turned him into an idiot caricature of the man we have come to know and love. His sudden hallucinatory fang bigotry storyline had better have a big payout, I'm talking way more epic than Billith! While I was thankful to see Tara go back to her season 1 sass, I cannot say the same for Jason regressing back to his former level of stupidity. His intolerance level has hit turbo, thrusting him back to his Fellowship of the Sun days, where now he's more likely to take up with the Obama mask rednecks, then try to stop them and do what is actually right.

Brad: I kind of liked the more mature Jason. Please do not allow him to regress to an idiot. I totally understand this season due to the bump on the head but please lets not bring back season 1 Jason. He, as Sue stated has progressed so much. It would be a shame. I am not asking to make him a super genius, that's just retarded.

Pam and Tara's Relationship

Brad: Lets keep this budding relationship simple. I do not want to see the typical U-haul Lesbian story line (after the first date they move in together and forget the world outside and start nesting and have a shit load of cats) lets not go the stereo typical gay love story, let's make it more realistic. Please do not go on those reality shows and draw inspiration....THEY ARE NOT REAL!!!!! I want to see this relationship to bud properly and not end up like Sookie and Billith's relationship. We need to make sure they do not became boring. Ideally with out losing Pam's unique charm, fashion sense and cunty attitude along without Tara falling back to her annoying self, god that season I just wanted her killed, but I want her back to that cunty, smart mouth, bitch which she returned to. God I love when she and Pam get snarky and tag team individuals. The potential for a fantastic story with those two is just so HUGE. Please do not screw it up. This past season was a bit touch and go there.

Sue: I'm still not completely sold on this relationship yet, I like the chemistry, but I totally agree it needs to be right. I've said it time and again that Tara desperately needed to be killed, and was against her being saved, though I knew it was coming. Rutina Wesley is fantastic, and I'd miss her, but I only take so much of her whining. I get it, she was traumatized, but so is the entire freaking town. Get over it. I loved that she got a bit of her old self back, and I've always adored Pam. Pam has always gotten the best lines, and Kristin Bauer Van Straten's delivery of them are Rockstar status. She is flawless. But if this relationship ruins Pam, as Sookie's and Eric's did Eric, then I immediately vote Tara staked by the Wereunicorn, or Sam could pull his killer fly move again, I wouldn't mind seeing that one a second time, especially if it means we get to see a blood soaked, gore covered Sam again.

Think Outside of the Box with Warlow

Sue: We've had Fangbanging Haters, Maenads, Crazy-assed Churches, Vampires, and V doing Vampire Churches as our big bads, let's dare I say be original and find something else for the season's big villain. There are plenty of things that go bump in the night in and around Bon Temps, why does Warlow have to be a vampire? Claude seemed to be hiding something when he heard the name, and Nora knows it. I know, I know, she's never smelled a fairy, but he could be a rocking dark fairy, what's not to say that he can't mask his scent. He could be more powerful than the Elder, without all the weird questions. Plus what vampire has the ability to be weird steam? Russell certainly didn't and he was like 4 thousand years old. How old would Warlow have to be to have that ability? The fairies have been an utterly lame edition to the storyline. So what if they have microwave fingers, run a neat burlesque club, and have orgasmic births? Who freaking cares? This gives the fairies a chance to spice things up. Warlow being one, could completely reinvent them, and make them a force to be reckoned with.

Brad: So far not really impressed with this Warlow character. I mean there has been no real build up to give suspense as to who or what the hell he is. Yeah it is made to believe that he is a Vampire, not convinced!!! Totally agree we need to think outside the box with this one. Oh and if you are planning on using Billith be the one to destroy this Warlow character forget it. We are not interested in that storyline. Billith needs to just be Staked or what ever you do for a god like creatures. Making him a Dark Fairy now that could be interesting. It would be a story line worth investigating. It could lead to more depth about Sookie and Jason's Family history and more about why Bon Temps is a hot bed for everything supernatural.

More Sookie

Brad: OK so my understanding of the show is that its based off of the life/adventures of Sookie Stackhouse. Why in the hell are we going away from that. Last season Sookie was just there. Though she is pretty and all we need to get back to Sookie. I want to see more Sookie based story lines. She needs to evolve in to a bad ass fairy hybrid. Lets dig into what the hell Sookie is. Yeah we all know she is a fairy hybrid of sorts but what makes her so special. When she met grandpa Stakehouse there were other female halfbreeds there eating fruit. Lets just kill the whole Sookie and Bill love story for good. Lets focus on the Eric and Sookie relationship. We need to develop through several seasons of Sookie's family history. I do not expect everything right up front that would make for a very very boring seasons to follow. But lets not forget that this show is about Sookie. I would love to be invited to one of your brainstorming meetings as to what direction we should go. Maybe a fresh pair of eyes and set of good ideas is just what you need. Do not be shy.

Sue: Yes, yes and yes. I know Anna Paquin was pregnant and all so they wouldn't let her do anything crazy, but besides the Scooby mystery, and drunk Sookie, Sookie's story pretty much was a snoozefest. This season would be a perfect chance to swing the focus back to Sookie and let her absolutely rock. And delving into her family tree sounds like a great idea, especially if it means meeting her Great, great, a whole lot of greats Grandfather, Niall, who by the way should be played by David Bowie. Just throwing it out there. So Mr. Bowie, if your not busy, since Alan Ball killed my dreams of Bruce Campbell playing Bubba on True Blood, it would be fantastic if you could play the fairy king in all your awesome glory.

Also included is a pair of Alcide stickers. Joe Manganiello threw out handfuls during comic con this year, but he personally handed me a stack to give away. I've been giving them out, but I have a few left still.
