Killing Eve S01E05 "I Have a Thing About Bathrooms" Recap

Villanelle approaches Eve's car, firing off shots, but Eve finally manages to get the car to drive and begins to drive away. Even then decides to stop the car and thinks she should try to talk to Villanelle, believing that she wants to talk to her. Carolyn and Frank scream at her to keep driving away but Villanelle does slow down her pursuit once Eve stops the car. Eve decides to get out of the car and slowly approaches Villanelle but stops once Villanelle raises her gun at her. Villanelle then points the gun underneath her own chin, to which Eve screams at her to stop. Villanelle laughs, kisses her own gun, then fires a few shots at the ground near Eve before running off once more.

Eve and Elena bring Frank to a safe house and he shares how he overheard one of the women that was pursuing him being called "Oksana." Frank is then brought to a safe house. Eve gets a call that her suitcase has come back and the assassin's DNA is all over it and matches trace evidence found from her various kills. Eve determines that the killer is either deeply arrogant or knows that she is protected somehow.

Carolyn arrives at the safe house and with Eve, begins to question Frank. He finally admits that he has been taking payments from a shadow organisation called "The Twelve" who know everything about him. He accepted their payments to pay for his wife's medical treatment although she ended up dying anyway. He is insistent that he only took the money to help make his family happy. He admits to sharing information on what conversations were being had. Carolyn informs Eve that a male body was found at the scene where Frank was cornered, which implies that Nadia may still be alive despite Villanelle running her over.

Kenny tracks "Oksana" down in official prison records and Eve identifies her as the killer. Villanelle used to be a brunette and her records have her marked as being dead. She had also killed a prison guard and chopped his 'knob' off.

Eve returns home and tries on the perfume and one of the dresses that Villanelle had gifted her with. Eve then looks over Oksana's file before discovering that Villanelle has broken into her home. Eve flees to the bathroom and locks herself inside while Villanelle shouts that she won't hurt her and demands that she open the door. Villanelle kicks the door down and demands that Eve stop screaming, saying she only wants to have dinner with her. Eve reluctantly agrees and heats up some leftover shepherd's pie. Villanelle tries to spin a sob-story about needing help but Eve sees right through the facade and calls her out for it. Villanelle suggests that if she and Eve were to really dig into it they would likely find that they are working for the same people. Eve asks Villanelle why she castrated the guard and Villanelle is evasive, though it's implied that Villanelle is used for purposeful political destabilisation. Eve then asks why Villanelle why she killed Bill and Villanelle claims he was slowing Eve down. Eve tries to draw a knife on Villanelle but is overpowered and Villanelle sniffs her, noticing that she is wearing the perfume. Villanelle steals Eve's phone and gets the pin for her under the threat of killing Eve's loved ones who are returning home at that time.

Eve visits Carolyn and learns that Kenny is her son. She tells Carolyn about Villanelle's visit and stealing the phone, which has Frank's location on it. They hurry to try to send backup and save Frank but it's too late, as Villanelle has already gotten to the safe house and killed Frank as well as badly injured the agent that was guarding him, Max. When Eve and Carolyn arrive, Eve is shocked to learn that Frank was also castrated which speaks to a pattern in Villanelle's psychosis.

Konstantin visits Villanelle and she lies about Nadia's injuries, claiming that Diego was the one that run Nadia over. He informs her that Nadia is alive and needs to be killed before she can be questioned by anyone. Villanelle is reluctant to go, since Nadia is back in Russia, but Konstantin assure her that no one else can get the job done and that she can come back as soon as the job is done. Konstantin is also taken aback when Villanelle asks him which number out of The Twelve he is.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E20 "The One Who Will Save Us All" Recap

Talbot brings Coulson with him to break into Qovas' ship. Talbot claims to not be effected by the voices continued within the gravitonium as his military experience and status enables him to keep them in line. When they are captured by guards, Talbot declares himself the new leader and expresses control by killing one of the guards with his abilities, ordering the commander to kneel before him. The commander and all the other aliens relent and kneel.

Back at the Lighthouse, SHIELD has taken one of the warriors captive and discover he is on a substance called odium that is supposed to improve his abilities to fight as a warrior but he ultimately dies from the effects of the substance. Simmons is tasked with dissecting the body to learn more about odium.

Coulson meets with Hale, who appears remorseful and guilty over the death of Ruby. Coulson offer her the opportunity to help them make things right and tells her about Talbot having entered the box and absorbed the remaining gravitonium. She gives up information on the Confederacy, whom Hydra had made a deal with to trade gravitonium and Inhumans for protecting Earth from any invading threats.

Daisy returns to the Lighthouse with Jiaying's corpse and ends up in a fight with Yo-Yo that is only stopped when May fires a warning shot from her gun and says they need to focus on helping Coulson. May reprimands Yo-Yo, saying she must either find a way to help them or to leave and not come back. When Daisy is reunited with Deke he tells her that Fitz and Simmons are his grandparents.

Talbot leaves to go to a meeting with other alien leaders of the Confederacy, intent on renegotiating the terms of their agreement with Earth. The Confederacy is displeased with his unexpected arrival to the meeting but they are forced to comply when Talbot uses the gravitonium to kill and absorb one of the members.

Fitz tries to apologise to to Mack but he blames Fitz and Simmons for Yo-Yo's path into darkness that escalated till she killed Ruby. They are unable to come to an agreement on their differing philosophies. Meanwhile, Daisy shows Simmons the Centipede serums and Jiaying's body that she believes can be combined to try to save Coulson. Simmons is concerned about the ethical implications but Daisy pushes her to give it a shot if it means Coulson can stay alive.

Kasius' father, Taryan, attempts to manipulate Talbot by telling him about the threat Thanos' imminent invasion poses to the earth. He encourages Talbot to increase his powers by revealing that there are further untapped subterranean deposits of gravitonium on Earth. When Talbot returns to the ship and reveals his intentions, Coulson and Hale are unable to convince him of Taryan's true motives. Talbot won't listen to Coulson's concerns that the gravitonium is too unstable to further load himself up. Coulson and Hale have no choice but to comply with Talbot's wishes.

SHIELD equips the Zephyr with gravitonium in order to make it capable of space travel and make their way up to Qovas' ship. Talbot becomes increasingly paranoid and accuses Coulson of mutiny and conspiring with SHIELD to take the ship away from him. Daisy and May board the ship after Hale lies and claims that she tried to convince Coulson not to do it. Talbot holds Coulson captive and levitating off the ground, threatening to kill him if Daisy tries to use her powers. Hale attempts to trigger Talbot's brainwashing, prompting him to put Coulson down but then he kills Hale in retaliation for what he sees as her betrayal. Daisy tries to use her powers against him but it does little more than make him slide back a few inches. He knocks her out with a wave of his fingers and May is forced to surrender when Talbot threatens Coulson's life.

Some time later, Daisy is shown to be imprisoned by Taryan who intends to take her back to his homeworld.

Gotham S04E20 "That Old Corpse" Recap

Jerome's followers gather for his funeral but a mysterious masked figure arrives to play a recorded posthumous message seemingly from Jerome about one more mission that begins with them digging up his body.

Back at the GCPD, Harvey offers Jim the opportunity to let Lee go for the crime of robbing the bank but Jim is determined to do what is right by the law. Jim offers Lee the opportunity to go free if she returns the money and gives up Nygma but she refuses to give in to any of those demands. Their interrogation session is interrupted by a package arriving for Jim. Inside is a tape Jerome left of his last will and testament. He tells Jim he wants him to throw a wake for him at the GCPD and say that he's already sent the invitations. Right on cue, Jerome's followers arrive outside the station dressed like circus performers and ready to break into the station.

Nygma and some other of Lee's followers are debating how to get Lee out of the station. He leads a few of the Narrows subservients to accompany him to the station. There, Jim is making a call to Alfred to warn him of the threat to the station and Jerome's recent antics left in the wake of his death. Bruce has left for a meeting with Jeremiah and Alfred agrees to go after him to make sure they are all safe.

Jim determines that Jerome always likes to put on theatrical displays to hide his true intentions. He devises a plan to get all the officers to sneak out of the side buildings so that they can surround the building once Jerome's followers have gotten inside. All the while they must also figure out what the true target is.

At his bunker, Jeremiah shows Bruce a new self-sustaining energy generator he has developed. Bruce then gets a call from Alfred who warns him of Jerome's recent attacks and subtly signals to Alfred to come after him. However, Alfred is attacked in the kitchen of Wanye Manor by unknown assailants. Jeremiah is alarmed by Bruce telling him about Jerome's attacks, believing that Jerome is actually alive again. He admits to Bruce that he was sprayed by a laughing gas Jerome left for him. Now Jeremiah is struggling with paranoia regarding whether or not Jerome is still alive. Bruce suggests that they go to Jerome's grave so they can see the body for themselves so Jeremiah can try to keep his sanity in check. But Bruce doesn't know that Jerome's followers dug up the body...

Back at GCPD, Jerome's followers burst into the building. Jim begins to organise a way for the officer and Lee to get out of the building and out of the path of the destruction coming at them. As the officers begin to back up, Lee is accidentally knocked unconscious on a fire extinguisher.

Bruce and Jeremiah arrive at Jerome's grave and Jeremiah becomes hysterical at seeing Jerome's grave dug up, running away while Bruce tries to catch up.

Grundy is furious at Oswald because they are hiding out at Falcone's manor biding their time. When they see the news report of Jerome's followers unleashing chaos at the GCPD station Oswald decides they should go down to find a way back to reclaiming their power. Jim and Harvey interrogate one of Jerome's followers who reveals that Bruce and Jeremiah will be dead soon, prompting Jim to go after them.

Nygma arrives at the station with the other Narrows residents intent on getting into the station to rescue Lee, who is just beginning to wake up from her unconscious state. Inside it's a state of disarray as Jerome's followers make a mess of everything in sight. Meanwhile, Oswald and Grundy take one of Jerome's followers captive to torture in order to learn who the true mastermind of recent things is in order to regain their power.

Bruce catches up to Jeremiah near some indoor grave slots and tires to reason with him. Jeremiah's grip on reality is slipping and he draws a gun on Bruce, claiming that Bruce has made a switch. He claims that Bruce is really Jerome wearing Bruce's face and he intends to put Jerome (Bruce) back in his grave where he really belongs.

Ed dons a clown disguise to get into the station and gets knocked out by Lee before she can recognise him. She immediately tends to him so they can get out of the station together.

Jim arrives at Jeremiah's bunker and finds the generator along with a tape left by Jerome in which he reveals he always intended to bring Jim to the bunker. It's then that the masked figure to deliver the tape of Jerome's first orders emerges and holds Jim at gunpoint. When Jerome is being choked by an unknown figure on the tape, Jim uses the distraction to attack the masked figure. The two fight and eventually Jim is able to knock them out. Upon pulling the mask off he discovers that it's Echo behind the mask.

Back at Jerome's grave, Bruce is still held captive by Jeremiah. They find Jerome's body propped against the grave but Jeremiah claims it's a fake and pulls out a razor blade he intends to use to cut Bruce's face off to reveal the truth.

Jim watches in horror as the tape of Jerome is revealed to actually be Jeremiah wearing prosthetics pretending to be Jerome. Bruce is then overpowered by some of Jerome's followers who Jeremiah then claims as his own. Jeremiah has fully succumbed to the effects of the gas, though he claims that its effects were only cosmetic since he now has a paler complexion more remnant of the Joker comic fans are most familiar with. He believes he must tear down the city in order to rebuild it and Jim learns that the generator has actually been modified into a bomb which Echo locks him in the room with. Jim barely escapes the room before the bomb goes off.

Jeremiah tells Bruce he doesn't want to kill him because he wants to show him all of what he is achieving. Jeremiah reveals how the generators Bruce helped build are bombs and it's then that several of the bombs go off in the city. Jeremiah tells Bruce that progress requires sacrifice and knocks Bruce out, leaving him unconscious on top of Jerome's body before heading off to steal more generators from Wayne Enterprises.

June finds different ways to preoccupy her time living at the Boston Globe offices. Over the course of two months she exercises in-between investigating the archives at the office which documents the early emergence of the Gilead movement. She thinks back to being a young girl accompanying her mother to a Take Back the Night rally. June is visited occasionally by Nick, and eventually he brings news that she is set to be transported soon. She is now reluctant to do so if it means escaping without her daughter.

Moira gives a tour to a new co-worker who quickly becomes overwhelmed and has a breakdown. He shares how he was in the army before the rise of the Gilead movement and then he was quickly transformed into a Guardian. It wasn't long before he was forced to hang bodies on the wall, including a man he had dated in college. She tells him about trauma counseling services they have available for him to use.

June is picked up by a driver who has been tasked with transporting her to a new location. Upon arriving there she meets a man named Omar who is supposed to bring her to another safe house near an airstrip from which she will be able to fly to Canada. He tries to leave without her after receiving a message that the safe house has been compromised but she stands in front of his van to force him to take her with him. He brings her back to his apartment where she meets his wife Heather and their son Adam. Heather is upset about the dangers of bringing June into the home but Adam is more welcoming, as he's a friendly young child more than happy to show his toy truck to June.

The following day, Omar, Heather, and Adam leave to go to church, warning her to stay quiet since the neighbors listen to everything. They promise to be back by two and June remembers her mother and how disappointed she was by June's career choices and her intention to marry Luke, having wanted June to become an activist like her. June is frightened when someone knocks on the door looking for the family so she goes into their bedroom. Upon hiding under the bed she finds a hidden Qur'an and prayer rug tucked into the bedsprings. 2 o'clock comes and goes and Omar and his family do not return.

In another flashback, June and Moira go through their training to become Handmaids at the Red Center. During a series of slideshows with images, they discover that Holly had been declared an Unwoman and was sent to the Colonies to be worked to death.

June takes one of Heather's Econowife outfits to disguise herself and leave the apartment in order to blend in with other Econowives on the street. She boards a train with a map hidden in her pocket. After getting at the station she deems to be the right stop for her mission she veers off the path and heads into the woods. She is resigned to the fact that there is no way for her to rescue Hannah yet and proceeds to the airstrip that Omar had told her about.

Moira has a night out at a club and hooks up with a random woman in the bathroom. She gets the woman off but stops her from reciprocating afterwards, saying she is good. The woman introduces herself as Caitlin and says to let her know if she changes her mind, and Moira gives her a fake name, Ruby. She then returns home to the apartment, where Erin makes her laugh upon revealing she is no longer mute.

June makes it to a plane where the pilot is suspicious of whether she is really who she claims to be but convinces him of the truth by showing him her ear injury. Another fugitive arrives and the pilot prepares to fly them out by hiding them in the cargo hold in the plane's undercarriage. Unfortunately, the plane is intercepted before it can take off. Guardians execute the pilot and then apprehend June and the other fugitive.

Shadowhunters S03E07 "Salt in the Wound" Recap

Following the reveal of Jace as the Owl demon, Clary follows him up to the roof and the two fight. Clary tries to get the real Jace to break through and tells him she loves him but Jace responds that he doesn't love her anymore and throws Clary off the roof. She falls onto a car below and falls unconscious.

Simon is feeling guilty about turning Heidi in to Praetor Lupus but Kyle assures him that he did the right thing. Maia comes over and is shocked to see Kyle, as he was the werewolf that turned her. Simon is outraged and leaves the apartment intent on following Maia until Clary calls him asking for help since she can't move from where she has fallen onto the roof of the car. Simon gets her back to the Institute where the team is reconvening and she is patched up from her encounter with Jace. The demon is finally identified as Lilith, Queen of Edom, using the Silent City archives and a drawing Clary put together after she faced it. Lilith had been Adam's first wife back in the Garden of Eden and the mother of all demons. Clary finally admits to the group that Jace really did die at the lake and that she made a wish to bring him back. Bringing him back is what made him vulnerable to being preyed upon by Lilith. Clary is prepared to take whatever punishment Alec sees fit but he only hugs her and admits that he would've done the same thing.

Luke calls Ollie's partner and warns her that she needs to go somewhere safe. Ollie is revealed to have killed her mother to fulfill the sacrifice for Lilith. This is the 33rd sacrifice which means that Jonathan should be nourished enough to rise again.

Magnus informs the group that he should be able to reverse Lilith's hold on Jace if they can capture and hold the Owl demon long enough for Magnus to work his magic. Izzy proposes using a piece of Clave technology that never made it into the field called the Malachi configuration. Malachi had invented a type of cage for Greater Demons that can be used to hold him. Magnus blames himself for giving Lilith the elixir and Alec assures him he's not to blame himself and the two resolve their fight, ready to move forward and save Jace.

Simon tracks down Maia and checks to see if she's okay. She is still shaken by seeing Jordan Kyle again and tells him she just wants to be alone for a bit while she works through it. Flashbacks start that show the beginnings and progression of Maia and Jordan's relationship. They met on the beach where he was preparing to go surfing and she was sitting reading Charles Dickens. They had made plans to run away to Fiji together but Kyle got scratched by a werewolf and lost his temper at her when she said she got a scholarship to a university which she wanted to pursue instead of running away with him. Maia broke up with Jordan and he began following her. She ordered him to stay out of her life and shortly thereafter he turned into a wolf, as it was conveniently the night of the full moon, and when he later woke up again as a human he found blood on his hand. Upon following the blood trail he found Maia lying on the ground nearby with a scratch on her neck. She asked Jordan what he was and he proceeded to run away.

Lilith orders Jace to go to Alicante to get to the Cemetery of the Disgraced. She wants a sample of flesh of Valentine, Jonathan's father, for the ritual.

Simon and Luke head out to investigate a lead on where Lilith has set up her lair. Luke also admits that he was the one that sent Praetor Lupus to help Simon though he didn't know they would send Maia's ex that turned her. Jordan Kyle has already made a call in to his superiors asking to be taken off the case despite the fact that leaving his assignment would mean severe punishment.

The shadowhunters head to Alicante to try to find Jace. Clary ponders if Jace would've been better off if he hadn't met her but Izzy assures her that he was happier after he met her than before. The shadowhunters try to warn the inquisitor that Jace has been possessed but Jace is still able to murder her in her office and steal her thumb to get into the Cemetery of the Disgraced. While the inquisitor is dying on the floor, she is able to draw a rune and send it out to Alec so they'll know that Jace is already here.

Simon and Luke make it to Lilith's lair. Luke tries to appeal to Ollie and make her remember who she really is but is unable to break through. Two of Lilith's 'children' try to attack Simon and his mark sends out a blast that disintegrates them into piles of salt.

The shadowhunters manage to trap Jace at the cemetery. When guards are approaching, Clary sends the rest of the group back to Magnus' place through a portal while she will be taken in for questioning at the Gard.

Maia shows up at Jordan's apartment just as he's about to leave with a letter he had written to explain everything to her. He shares how he was scratched on a camping trick and too scared to tell her what was really happening. He was still a new wolf and unable to control his Turns at the time when he scratched her. She is understanding of struggling to control Turns but what she can't fathom is that he would just leave her wounded without staying to check if she was okay. He then joined the Praetor to try to help others as a way of helping others but she still won't forgive him for what he has done. He says that he will be leaving the case but she orders him to stay, saying that he cannot abandon Simon the way he abandoned her.

Lilith learns from Ollie that there is a Daylighter walking around, which is how two of her disciples were turned to salt.
