iZombie S01E06 Recap: Virtual Reality Bites

So last week when I was really worried about Major dying, it looks like I was almost right. Major sits on Ravi's table, getting stitched by by the ME. Ravi tells him that he's lucky that he isn't dead. And thank goodness for us too he isn't dead, I'm sort of attached to him. He'd be better off at the ER, but his insurance kind of sucks. Liv sees Ravi's handiwork, and offers to take over so that he doesn't have Frankenstein scars. Major tells Liv that he went looking into Jerome's story, and found that the Candyman was a real person. They had a bit of a scuffle, and Liv doesn't like the sound of it one bit, but Major reminds her that he's a bit of a bad ass on the football field and can handle himself. Liv still doesn't want him fighting. Major asks if Liv told Ravi about the musician guy she picked up at the wake. Liv talks about his over imagination. He claims that he's ready for this day, that he wants to know, but Liv remains mum. So is it me, or does Liv look a little less pale? Maybe she's doing a little spray tanning herself.

Jackie gets takeout, but the poor delivery boy is missing part of her order. He's not just going to be shorted a tip. She can't wait for him to go back for what she's missing, and she pushes the poor boy against the coat hanger, her eyes bleeding to zombie mode.

A man is dead on the stairs. He's a gross looking one. Ravi gives Clive a little something to help with the smell. He's the rippest smelling guy ever. The guy was a total shut in, receiving all of his necessities through a dog door. The neighbors noticed that the supplies were piling up. He's been dead about a week. There is tons of old food, and a heart attack is a possible culprit. Clive notices confetti. It came from a birthday card. Outside, many of the neighbors are curious about the shut-in.

Jackie places a call to Blaine. She tells him that she never received her delivery, she doesn't want to be charged. Blaine offers to make a special stop, but with delivery boy on the counter, she declines, telling him that she'll stop by later.

Mr. Cutler has confetti even in his eye. They still haven't arrived at a cause of death, and Liv really doesn't want to sample his putrid brain. Clive arrives and tells them that he was one of the most hated people on the internet. It's likely a murder, to Liv's dismay. Cutler was an internet trolling hacker, and there's even a web that is celebrating his demise. Ravi pulls up the website, and the guy was a total gem. There are plenty of accounts of his cyber bullying, and even a customer service call gone really wrong. Clive is looking into the web portion, but hopes that Liv gets a psychic hit. Liv looks over at the brains, and they've never looked more unappealing.

Liv whipped the brains into a gross smoothy, and she's not feeling great. Ravi suggests that she try saltines or something to keep the brains down. Liv spots some donuts that Ravi had brought it. The donuts trigger a memory. He was having an allergic reaction to a doughnut and went for an epi pen. She thinks that is why they found him on the stairs, that he was going upstairs for a pen, but Ravi didn't find anything in his stomach to support that.

Joey refuses to open up to the group. Major heads into work, and the kids notice his new look. He claims it was a rollerblading accident. Joey tells Major that he trashed his mom's place because his steapfather is a tool. He seems much more open to Major than he was to Coral. Coral sends Major a message, telling him that he can't come in there looking like he does, it sends the wrong message. One of the girls remarks that there's no phones during group. Another kid asks if he was out looking for Jerome and that they're likely dead.

Liv gives Clive her findings about the doughnut. It has them a little confused, since there was a lack of supporting evidence. Liv's eyes go a little hazy, she's not sure why. Liv notices the birthday card. Clive thinks that its suspicious. He looks up Cutler's birthdate, and sees that it isn't for another four months. Liv suspects the confetti that was everywhere, including Cutler's eye. Clive smells the card, and Liv too. It smells like peanuts. It card flung peanut powder all over Cutler, causing the anaphylactic shock. Murder weapon acquired.

Liv gets ready for a date. The last time she worried about how she looked for a date was when Major proposed. She never thought that she would be bored with Major, that they would spend the rest of her life with him, and she kind of did, but her death is something different. She heads out the door, and gets all woozy and freaks. She goes back inside and calls Lowell. She slips into the whole I'm sick speal, when she remembers that he's a zombie too and tells his answering machine the truth. She's eaten some agoraphobe brain, and can't leave her apartment.

Clive heads down to Ravi's morgue, about another victim. He was found by some hikers, and looks like he was gnawed on by a bear. Although the bear may have done a little sampling, he was taken out with a claw hammer. The foster kid has been in and out of the system for years. Ravi finds this odd, since the contents of his stomach look to be very high priced. The street kid had about $500 worth of food. Clive asks if Liv is around, but she's sick. Clive wanted her to take a look at the laptop. Ravi offers to take it over to her.

Ravi delivers the laptop, but Liv isn't sure what she's to do with it. Her fingers remember the keys though and she gets in with no issues. It's kinda creepy, and Liv prays she doesn't stumble across his porn. What she finds is pure nerd porn though, Cutler's RPG, which Ravi just happens to be familiar with, Warlock's Forest. Liv logs in, and Ravi looks on trying to explain to things to her. Liv hates this sort of stuff, but Ravi is more than ready to lend a hand. He heads home to log in, so they can game together.

Major heads upstairs, when he hears Jerome's voice. It's a video on the computer, that one of the kids is watching. Major asks if there is more footage like this one, and there is. Major scans the crowd as the video plays.

Liv is in full gamer mode, with pork rines at her fingertips and all. She instructs Ravi that if they are going to hit this castle he needs his spells at the ready. For someone who doesn't like gaming, she's fully embraced this brain's love of them. Liv's mother pays her a little visit, and she's not really happy to see her daughter so enthralled into the game. Liv berates her team, and her mother is worried about her. This has been the most lively she's seen her, and she's worried that she's letting life pass her by. Liv is hardly listening, and her mother leaves her to her police business. Liv and her team make it into the castle, but the opposition is sure that they killed her and she can't be back. Liv turns off the voice modulation, and calls out the killer. It's just a kid. He calls her, asking if he's going to need a lawyer. Otto is just 14. He reveals that no one knew where Cutler really lived. The kid lives in New York, there was no way he cold have actually killed Cutler.

Ravi laments over Otto's young age and great accomplishment in the game. Lowell comes bearing anti-anxiety meds, since she sounded overwhelmed in her call. Could he be anymore perfect? He needed them a few weeks back. She invites Lowell in for a drink, and ends her call with Ravi. Liv is looking more than a little bit of a mess, with pork rinds all over her shirt, and her place a mess. Lowell tells her that its not a date, but a drop by, either way, she isn't use to it. Liv reveals that she isn't really over Major still. Lowell gets that, she probably had this zombie thing thrust upon him. Liv asks what brought him to Seattle. He needed to escape the weather, and maybe a girl. He asks about Major, and Liv describes him as determined.

Major watches some of Jerome's videos, and he calls Ravi over to take a look at something he's found. Major points out the Candyman. He wants to know more about the guy. Ravi notices that Major popped a stitch. Major plans to pop by Liv's so that she can fix it, but Ravi ends up having to tell him that she isn't alone. Major thanks him for letting him know. Poor Major.

Lowell can't believe that Liv woke up in a body bag. He tells her that he woke up in a drunk tank with a scratch on his leg. She wonders how many more of them there are, and he hopes that there would have been a big bulletin out if there were many. One perk of being a zombie is the lack of beating off groupies. Liv isn't the groupie type, but she'd like to see one of Lowell's shows. Lowell doesn't do public shows anymore. He got an adrenaline rush and it almost went bad. For everyone's safety he just plays in studios now. He misses it though. He goes in for a kiss, and Liv cringes. Poor Lowell, things are super awkward. He notices her laptop and the slutty women of middle earth. Liv tries to assure her that she's not blowing him off, but that she's found a lead to her case. Lowell can't get out soon enough.

Clive heads into Blaine's little butcher shop, showing him a picture of the dead delivery boy. Blaine claims to not know the kid, but asks him to leave the photo behind to show the staff in the morning. The kid had a meat/truffle combination found in the shop. They hear an off noise, and Clive asks again if Blaine is alone. Blaine claims that its just the building, and offers to let him look around. Clive hesitates. Mama is waiting for him on the other side of the door with a knife in hand. Clive gets a call from Liv, with her lead. He hands the photo over to Blaine with contact information.

A couple claims that they not only knew the Sim Reaper, but that they celebrated his death. Liv reads a review that Cutler had made about their former doughnut shop. They didn't mean to almost kill him, they didn't make their doughnuts with peanuts, but the oil they bought was made on the same machine that processed peanuts, cross-contaminating it. They had their life savings poured into the business, and he brought it down. Liv tells Clive they had motive and means, but she doesn't think that they did it. Liv thinks it had to be someone else. He wasn't going to stop eating doughnuts, someone else had to bring them.

Blaine pays Jackie a visit. She hesitates in opening the door for him. She talks about her work, and Blaine tells her about his day. He puts on his goggles. A cop came to him about his dead delivery boy. He turns his drill on. Bye, bye Jackie.

The crime scene photos show several boxes from donuts etc, but they refused to provide Clive with a list of employees. Liv hacks into the system to find the delivery boy who could have been the killer. With potato chips everywhere, she heads to get another soda. The can sprays in her face, and she gets another vision. She heads to see Clive, but she's unsteady on her feet. She's heavily medicated. She tells him about the moment of death. The card had a music chip that played Ring Round the Rosy. It's likely a clue. Liv thinks she knows who it was, and Clive recognizes the guy from the scene outside. His last name is Posey. His birthday doesn't match the death date, but his sister's does.

Clive and Liv bring in Mr. Posey for some questioning. They play for him the customer service call that Cutler ranted on. Cutler wasn't one to make idle threats. His sister was the person on the receiving end of that call. Cutler ruined her life, and she ended it. Posey tracked him down by his bad doughnut review, which gave him a three mile delivery radius. He'll likely spend his life in jail, but it was worth it.

Posey let the tragedy of his sister's death ruin his own life because he couldn't get over it. Liv remembers what her mother said about not letting life pass her by. She tracks down Lowell, whistling to get his attention. She wants to pick up where they left off, before she ducked his move. He spent six years trying to get back on his feet after his death. She's ready to start living hers.

Ravi games, and Major finds a lead. He sends it over to Major to take a look, and I'm pretty sure its someone we know, Blaine.

Liv looks over the latest body brought in. She wonders if the woman looks like she sucked the marrow from life. Ravi tells her to forget about it, they have a bigger issue. The picture Major sent him was of Blaine, and Liv realizes that Blaine isn't grave robbing, he's picking off kids from the skate park, Major's kids.

Liv's mom heads into Blaine's butcher shop, she's so happy to find the place so nearby. She sees the hiring sign, he son could use a job. Blaine gives her an application.

iZombie S01E04 Recap: Liv and Let Clive

Blaine sits awake next to a sleeping Jackie. She asks him if last night was a service he provides all of his clients, thinking that being his booty call should get her a rebate. He points out that he made her a zombie not a whore. Oh Blaine, so romantic. The pair go through the daily preparation to look like their living, from hair coloring to pray tanning.

Liv takes a pair of coffees over to Major's house. When Jesse slips past her on her way in. Major's fresh out of the shower and in a towel. She's come to apologize for all the weirdness lately. Jesse is moving out, as a roommate, he didn't work out. Liv apologizes, if it weren't for her, then he wouldn't need a roommate. She asks if Jerome's friend has turned up, he hasn't and worse, now Jerome is gone too. Jerome has been returning his texts, but Major doesn't think that either will be back. The Jenga girl comes downstairs in Major's shirt, and the room fills with awkwardness. Major is surprised that she's up, but he introduces Liv and Corinne. Liv takes her leave.

Liv tells Ravi about the meeting, telling him that it wasn't that bad even though she was in Major's living room, and drinking out of her favorite coffee mug. She handled it well, without any vomitting, crying or violent rages. They look over their next case, a body that's been mutilated, with teeth and fingertips removed likely to make it harder to identify. And likely the work of an asian gang judging by the body's own gang tattoo. Liv looks at the cause of death, and Ravi thinks that Clive may want some help on the case, possibly a working. Before she can saw into the head, her brother comes in gleeful that he's going to see her saw into a guy. Sounds like Mommy Dearest has gone off the deep end, and little brother will be staying for awhile. Liv gets him the key, and gets him out, so she can do her zombie thing.

A little hot sauce, a little rice, and brain and Liv gets to eating, wishing that Brains tasted like the places where they come from, but al brains taste the same unfortunately. Clive comes to see what his new John Doe is, and recognizes him as Sammy Wong, a former informant, and worse Clive wants no help. Liv gets a vision of Sammy witnessing Clive giving someone else get a beating for informing on the group. Clive asks what she saw, but Liv doesn't say a word.

Ravi asks her about her vision, surprised that Clive had a mustache. Liv is more alarmed by the beating he was giving the guy, accusing him of snitching. No wonder why Clive doesn't want her help, he's a dirty cop. Ravi tells her that she knows Clive, but she isn't so sure. There has to be another explanation. Like there's another explanation for Corinne to be at Major's house in his shirt so early in the morning slobbering all over her cup. Danger, danger Ravi, Liv is in full rant moe, thinking Corinne is going to use the roommate angle to steal her spot. Ravi pulls her back to reality, telling her that she sound's paranoid. Ravi thinks that she may be having effects of the brain she consumed. Liv jumps to the thought that Ravi should move in with Major, and cut Corinne off at the pass. Ravi isn't sure he's ready to give up his privacy. He likes his week to week, and she's paranoid. Just because she's paranoid, doesn't mean that something isn't going on.

Blaine goes for his meat delivery, and he's asked how he gets his spray tan so even, sleeping with someone with money can work wonders. He heads back, and gives the pair their list for the day. The guys are total meat heads, and being zombies probably doesn't help. The owner brings him back a new fancy brain dish to try, and its delicious. The two want a sample too, but Blaine sends his boys out without so much as a nibble, brains are for closers.

Liv heads to find out more about Sammy. She goes to see Clive's former partner for more information. She can't give her anything on the ongoing vice case, but she's more than happy to give her some dirt on Clive. He was out for #1, no one was surprised when he was suspended, and no one was sad when he left for homicide. Liv is very surprised, this doesn't sound like the Clive she thought she knew.

Liv wonder why Clive never told her that he had been suspended before, and Ravi points out that's not the sort of thing you lead with. They head to a video store, where the guy was wearing a shirt from, thinking that it could give them more clues. Liv tells Ravi to follow her lead, and Ravi is concerned that her plan involves gum. Liv smacks on the gum, talking all valley girl as she asks the clerk for Ray, coming up with a story of hooking up with him. Ravi tells him that she's like the whory version of Momento, and asks for his help so he can get out of there and get the lunch he though he was going to have. The guy heads back to see if Ray is around, and Ravi heads to check out the videos in the store. While Ravi actually finds the whory version of Momento Liv has another vision. Mustache Clive, and another man getting some wasabi bomb torture. Ray was not the rat. Before they can get out of there, the guy delivering the wasabi bomb comes out. He's heard she's looking for Ray and has a thing for asian guys. He introduces himself as AJ, and he's into white chicks, really white chicks. She's really nervous. AJ questions her, how she knows Ray, and why he would give her the video store card and not his cell phone. Liv and Ravi both notice their tattoos, and get out of there. The little video store looks like its the blue cobra nest. Liv tells Ravi that she had a vision and AJ was the leader, ordering wasabi bombs to the eye. Liv sees Clive arrive to the shop, which makes him look guiltier. She wants to stay around, until they're spotted by one of AJ's men.

Liv's brother complains about the lack of junk food in her apartment. Liv is more concerned that she may have been followed. She tells Evan to keep a look out.

Blaine's pair of zombies complain about their current lives. They can't even go to the gym anymore, and they're tired of working for Blaine. He's going around scratching the rich and making a ton of cash catering to their zombie needs. He's the only game in town, and they want to change that. They want to become the competition, and they have his client list to get started.

Liv comes out of her shower, asking what's the status on the guy with the dog. She finds Clive in her living room with her brother. Liv introduces Evan to Clive, but Clive already covered that. Evan makes a break to her room. Clive wants to know why she talked to his old partner, since he told her that he didn't want her help. She says she had a bad feeling, but denies the visions. Clive tells her that Sammy was in witness protection, something that her visions failed to mention. The feds didn't do such a good job. They were, until he snuck home to see his dying mother. Clive warns that there are higher forces at work, and tells her to stay out of things for her own good.

Major comes by the morgue to see Ravi. He knows him as Liv's ex-fiance. Major asks if that's going to be weird for him, he doesn't think so. Ravi is pretty sure he's okay with it. He tells him that Liv isn't here, and asks Major if he wants to wait for her. Major doesn't need to, but he can. Liv so set them up as roommates, and I love it. Ravi and Major together are going to be spectacular. Major asks him if he needs to finish up, and Ravi can't help but feel that the conversation has gone weird. Major thought he was there to talk to Ravi about the room, and a lightbulb goes off in Ravi's head. Liv had mentioned that he was looking for a place and wanted to talk about it. Ravi admits that his current living situation isn't ideal, that his work isn't the most lively, and that when he's home he likes a little loud tv. Not exactly what Major was hoping for in a roommate.

Blaine's guys go to collect their payment from Jackie, as she hands over her check she tells them that she hopes the tip is included. They talk about Blaine's crappy business practices. He tries to explain to her about Blaine's monopoly, but she's way smarter than them. They try to tell her that she has options. She's willing to listen to their bargain offer. She has to think it over she tells them, and she didn't expect this from them. They think its a compliment, that they're underestimated because of their looks. These guys really are idiots.

Major doesn't really believe that Ravi has a wenforce. They're bonding over geekery as Liv comes in. She doesn't really understand as they rattle off eachother's game stats. He tells Major that he wouldn't believe what it looks like on his screen, like you're on a holodeck, and that has Major wondering where he would put this holodeck. Ravi would do bedroom, unless Major was okay with blackout curtains, as he doesn't like glare. Major asks for the definition of blackout curtains, and Liv is surprised to hear that the living together thing is a deal. They're really excited for the prospects. Major leaves, and Liv goes into panic spilling that Clive came by her house and told her she could get hurt if she didn't stay out of the case. He basically threatened her. Clive seemed really concerned about her having case related visions. She played dumb and hopes Clive bought it. Ravi did some digging of his own while she was out, and found AJ and his father. His father was in charge until about five months ago, which is the time Sammy was moved to Albuquerque. Even if its true it doesn't explain Clive delivering or watching the beatdown sessions at Cobra HQ. Ravi points out that if Sammy did testify against AJ's father, that would explain some of his paranoia. In Liv's vision it was a different guy getting the blame for snitching, Liv still thinks that Clive is dirty, that he may have set Sammy up when he returned from Albuquerque. Ravi doesn't want to think that is true. Clive seemed surprised to see Sammy dead in the morgue. Liv fears that Clive may kill them because of what they know, and she wants Ravi to be her lookout while she puts a tracker on his car. Ravi thinks her paranoia has gone too far,if Clive is who she fears he is, then they need to sleep on it and decide the best course of action. Liv says fine, but she goes to stick the tracker on Clive's car anyways. When she does, she sees the man who spotted her at the video store. Liv pulls the tracker, and runs off, but crashes into a homeless man's cart. She goes down hard, and has another vision. AJ tells Sammy that his mother is going to outlive him, right before Sammy tells them that Ray is an undercover cop. Liv leaps up all kung fu style. Sammy's brain gave her kung fu fighting skills, and she runs off after Clive to tell him that the Cobra's know that Ray is a cop and if he isn't already dead he will be soon.

Clive wants to know what the hell is going on. Liv tells Clive that she saw the moment before Sammy died. Ray was Clive's real partner when he was undercover. She admits that she lied about not having visions. She saw him beating up Ray, she saw him at the video store torturing someone else. She thought he was dirty. He calls in to find out where Ray is. The team is preparing to bring him and everyone else in. He's been out of the country bringing in a shipment of Utopium, and he's about to fly in. It'll be close, but Clive thinks they can make it before he lands. Clive doesn't want Liv coming along though, and speeds off without her.

Blaine gets another sample of a brainy dish. Blaine's men are back, and he tells them that they need to try the pasta and brains dish. It's delicious. They ask if he's planning on doing some painting, with all the plastic drapes hanging, sorta. He asks if they've come up with a name for their new start-up. Did they really think that Blaine wouldn't hear about their venture? They look shocked. He tells them that the couldn't give it another thought, and then caps the pair. It's no surprise, most small businesses fail. He pulls out two new beefy guys, reminding them that he took them out of the freezer and he can put them back in.

Liv calls Clive, and he finally answers. She's been going nuts worrying about him and Ray. AJ 's crew are all apprehended. Liv apologizes that she didn't trust him, and she owes him more than a bowl of soup. Clive admits that he wanted to keep her away so she wouldn't see his dark past, and to keep her safe. AJ wasn't among them though, and they're headed to the video store to pick him up. Liv hears someone in her apartment. She goes to see who it is, and its AJ. He throws her across the room. He tells her the look on her face tells him that she's not really all that into Asian guys, and he wants to know what else she's hiding. One of AJ's men followed her from his shop to the police station. He tells her that Ray is dead, and she's about to be too. Liv enlightens him. Ray is safe, and his boys are spreadeagled and cuffed. Liv gives him another shocker, and does a little kung fu fighting of her own. She kicks him into her closet, and he comes out swinging, with an umbrella. After their little fight, Liv is gonna need a whole new room as he knocks her around. He picks up a big shard of glass, and Evan returns home. In fear Liv goes full zombie and jumps on AJ. She beats him up before Evan even realizes he was in danger.

Clive commends Liv for taking down AJ. She's much tougher than she looks. AJ is brought out in cuffs, and he asks what she is. She tells him that he just got beat by a girl, a normal regular girl. He calls her a freak as he's taken away. She chalks up her skills to sorority self defense classes claiming she could “take out Batman with a spiral notebook and a student ID card.” Clive wants to know how she even got on AJ's radar. She admits that she went to the video store asking about Ray right before Clive showed up. She now realizes it was to investigate Sammy's murder, and not get instructions from his gang overlord. Clive can't believe that she would think he was working for that twisted ninja. Liv didn't just hear a rumor, but saw him go dark. He lost a whole year of his life when he went undercover, pretending to be something he's not. Liv can understand that. He went so deep that when he came back up no one wanted to work with him, not even Ray, which is why he went to homicide for a clean start. Liv apologizes. She knows he's a good cop. Clive thinks its too bad her visions don't come with footnotes. She promises that if she ever sees him in another vision she'll come to him first before making any presumptions. Clive leaves her in good hands with her brother. He tells her that if she sees anything suspicious, or anyone over 50lbs, to call him. She won't always land the lucky punch.

The next day seems brighter. Liv helps Ravi move in with Major, who's willing to let them try again at being friends. Ravi and Major are really hitting it off. Liv helps unpacks Ravi's things. She's ready to start moving forward instead of looking back. She places his mug in the cabinet, and tosses what use to be her favorite into the garbage can. Ravi sees her, but she tells him to say nothing. He saw nothing he says. Liv is glad that Ravi got over his lease fears, but Major didn't even ask for one. Major is usually a by the book guy, but Ravi points out that its obvious that Major saw how eager she was to get him in to block Corinne, that she's not ready to let him go. Liv claims she wasn't sending a signal, but not even Ravi believes her.

Blaine calls Jackie to thank her for her little tip, and to let her know that those boys are no longer with the company. As a thank you he's sending over something special, to make her feel like a teenager again. He suggests she have it before he sees her tonight. One of Blaine's workers asks what he wants to do with the shoes from the body on the table. It's Jerome. Blaine tells him to take the shoes if he wants. Blaine take's Jerome's phone, sees the text from Major and answers it before tossing the phone away. He turns on his machine, and gets to slicing to poor Jerome's head.

iZombie S01E02 Recap: Brother, Can You Spare A Brain?

Liv Moore kinda died, and now she helps solve murders. Liv thought she was the only zombie, but another haunts her dreams.

Lola comes to tell Javier that he missed a great dinner, to find that he has a really good reason for missing it, he's dead.

Ravi looks over a body to see the cause of death. Javier was a well known painter before his death. As Ravi talks about his love of the murdered paintings, his love of blue and asses. He tells Clive that he likely died instantly, but he'll need to investigate further at morgue. Clive cuts straight to the chase to see if Liv's spidey senses are tingling, they aren't. He thinks its the wife, the one sobbing in the corner, either way he wants to wrap this thing up quickly. He knows its usually the spouse. Ravi sends Clive away as he removes the paintbrush. Back at the morgue, Liv satisfies her munchies and works to solve the crime.

Major brings a big box of Liv's stuff, as an excuse to come over. After 6 months he figured she'd be missing her face sander, and huge pore mirror. He pulls a shirt that says left my heart in San Francisco, and jokingly suggests a road trip to retrieve it. Liv keeps Major at a distance as he tells her that he wasn't sure if she had an emotional attachment to anything in the box. As he pulls out an old text book, you can tell that the guy is really digging deep to work being close to Liv. Liv's roommate interrupts complaining of a stolen parking space, before she realizes that she's interrupting. Major takes his leave, but not before offering her her choice of engagement gifts, except the panini press which he's already broke. Major cute points for Major. Peyton wants the juicer, and Liv can't believe that she asked for the engagement juicer. Peyton realizes that Liv registered for a espresso maker too, and she can't believe that Liv thinks that her asking for small appliances is going to change the fact that Liv broke his heart. Liv thinks that he shouldn't come by anymore, when Peyton asks why, Liv doesn't have an answer.

Liv can't sleep when she see the zombie that's been haunting her, but its only a bad dream.

Liv searches every social media item she can think of to find the zombie that has been haunting her dreams, but she's come up with nothing. Ravi throws her a magazine for distraction, that promises hot sex tips. Liv isn't going to be deploying them any time soon for fear of turning Major into a member of the undead. It's why she doesn't want Major doing drop bys, it hurts too much. Liv gets a flash of memory. Javier was having a steamy affair.

Liv goes to Clive with her “vision.” She didn't get enough to identify the girl, only that someone interrupted them and they were at the loft. They were on top of it. Liv describes the scene giving Clive Fifty Shades of psychic with no vital details. Clive thinks that Javier's wife was the one who caught him, which makes her the prime suspect as he thought. Clive invites Liv along, hoping she'll get a vision that's less skinemax.

Clive and Liv go to see Lola. She's less hysterical, and she's with Javier's Sugar Flower with the buttery skin. Lola introduces them to her favorite of Javier's lovers: Tasha.

Lola explains that she and Artie would go out to eat all the time without Javier if he was caught up painting. He was at the mercy of his work, and she of her husband's process. Liv makes eyes at the delectable Tasha. Javier's tastes and libido seem to be rubbing off on her. Clive asks if the other women were part of Javier's process. Lola laughs. Javier was not a one woman man, and she was not bitter in the least about it. Tasha gushes that he had a way of revealing a person to themselves. Liv finds her words beautiful, she's definitely flirting, and she can't help it. Lola tells them that Javier knew about her dalliances, and she knew of his. Clive asks if it bothered her that Javier's works of art were other women nude. Lola thinks that he's dismissing their love, and the bigger picture. Monogamy wasn't for them, and they were more than happy about it. Liv's flirting is throwing Clive off his game.

Liv doesn't understand why her saying she didn't care about the affairs were incriminating. Clive points out that she was a little distracted, plus its always the spouse. Clive gets a text from Ravi. The angle of the paintbrush struck puts the killer at about 6'2, way taller than Lola, making her not the killer. Liv asks that he finds a pair of foot high stilettos in Lola's closet that he find out where she got them though.

Liv heads back to the morgue. Ravi has brought in the police sketch artist. Ravi ran into him, and remembered that she was looking for a certain blonde male. The sketch artist is totally willing to help, thinking that he's helping her find a missing connection. Liv gives the description of the guy, but her descriptions seem to be very broad, but somehow sensual. She goes back to the nose, talking about its foundation. She takes the pencil from the guy, to help him along, and he gets a bit testy, snatching it back. Ravi watches the exchange with glee. The artists is done with them, and runs off, ripping the paper from his bad as he runs off. Looks like Liv picked up another skill from Javier.

Clive questions Lola's companion the night that Javier died. He points out that 3 ½ hours is a long time for dinner. The art dealer tells him it really isn't, they spent most of the time waiting for Javier to show up. And he and Lola weren't hitting the sheets, Lola was completely devoted to Javier. Clive tells her that she had mentioned having dalliances outside of the marriage. He gets a little testy. Seems like thats a first that he's heard of it. He was less than happy that Lola was utterly faithful while Javier slept with every model he could get his hands on. Javier was a brilliant artist, but a horrible husband. Clive asks for his height. He suggests that he look at one of the models' gilted boyfriends, but answers that he's 6'2.

Liv marvels over her new skill. In grade school she could barely trace her hand for a turkey. When she finishes, Ravi will send it around to see if they can get a hit on the guy's identity.

Liv looks over the drab art in her apartment, wondering why they have it. It had the same blue as the pillows on the couch. Peyton wonders when she became an art critic, pointing out the only time they ever went to a museum was when it was raining in Paris. In the six months since she's started eating brains, she's gotten some odd traits from them, but she's never wanted to create something beautiful. Javier's brains make her want to do that, to possess beauty. Liv gets paint supplies, and starts on her own masterpiece. Now when she walks into a room she sees everything.

Back at work, she puts on her coat to get to work, when the body on the table rises. It's her mystery blonde. He heard she was looking for him. He makes sure that they're on the same page, that her skin and hair being the color of chalk isn't a fashion choice. It isn't. He loves her work, and he's making it his new profile picture. He gets to the point. She wanted to meet him. She had a vision of him chasing a man through an alley to rip open his skull. He was killed in a DUI accident, and she ate his brain. She thought she was the only one before then. He admits that he thought he was the only one until just a few seconds ago. He likes the idea of getting brains on the job, and she wonders how he gets his. He gets his the hard way, grave robbery. He admits that he should have gone into medicine, and the guy that he ate tried to mug him so he raged out. He tries to nail down the proper term. Liv calls it zombie mode, but he points out that they're always in that mode. Liv clarifies that its full on zombie mode. He asks if raging out at all appealing. When she doesn't seem interested he goes on. Mugging, raging, sirens, and he just wanted a bite, which is really gross. They both hate the consistency, and the taste. She misses food so much, as does he. Ravi marvels over her nailing the mystery man's chin, and asks for a urine sample. Well that's one way to greet a guy.

Ravi goes into full on research mode, with blondie on the table. He admits he has not clue how this all happened, he was super high the night of the party. He's willing to drop trou if Ravi can cure this. He asks how Liv became a zombie, which makes her confused when he asks if it happened the night of the party too. She tells him that he tried to sell her Utopian, smacked her ass, then went all rage zombie and clawed her forearm. He doesn't remember it that way, or at all. He asks if she's sure it was him. She is. He's really sorry, if he wasn't sure he would survive, he'd throw himself off a bridge. He bangs some of Ravi's instruments, and Liv gets a vision.

One of Javier's girlfriends tries to calm her boyfriend. Telling him that she's sorry, that she never meant to hurt him as he destroys one of Javier's canvases. Javier tries to reason with the guy.

Blondie asks her where she went, knowing from the daze look she had a vision. Liv has to take care of some stuff, and she suggests that he get going. Ravi offers to finish up, but blondie realizes that Liv doesn't want to leave him alone with Ravi. He leaves. Ravi isn't sure that was necessary, and neither is Liv, but she doesn't want to take chances.

Liv goes to Clive. It wasn't Lola that caught Javier fooling around, it was Tasha's jealous boyfriend. He points her attention to the group of young men that Arnie, the Art Dealer suggested. It may be a diversion tactic, but its one worth following up on. Liv sees the one from her vision. Liv gives a fancy description of the handsome man, and Clive has her narrow it down by his shirt color.

In the interrogation room, Liv gets flirty with the prime specimen. Mr. Rivera stands at 6'3. Liv interrupts to ask about his ancestry, if there's Native American because he has some beautiful cheekbones. Clive stops her line of questioning, and he confirms that he's 25% Cherokee with a smile. Clive threatens to have her sit out, and continues asking when he found out about Tasha and Javier. He's unsure, but Tasha got what was coming to her, Javier dumped her for a younger version. He left her so he could bang a younger version, Artie's 18 year old daughter. It's a well known fact in the art community, but he tells them that they didn't hear it from him.

Blondie sits alone at the bar, drinking his tasteless drink. He sees a prime target in a classy looking older woman. He approaches her to buy her a drink, but she doesn't see that a a high bar. He points out it could be if she's turned down several guys before him. She doesn't refuse, and he asks what's brought her there. Things haven't turned out how she expected. He can relate. She tells him that she's not into the age gap, though he is really charming. He finds that a shame, cause he's not really interested in hitting on some 25 year old while she swipes through Tinder, the idea makes him want to impale himself. She tells him that there's no reason they can't have a nice chat, but he thinks that there certainly is.

While Liv may be abstaining, Blondie certainly isn't, and he's getting frisky with the older lady. They rip eachother's clothes off and jump into bed, but as she goes down low, he slips into full zombie mode.

Liv busies herself painting when Major drops by with a juicer. He jokes that she's been taken over by a pod person. He would have been far less surprised to see her building a rocket. She tells him that its a new hobby, which is something the old Liv would have never said, as she strokes his shoulder in passing. Major points out her less than supportive stance on hobbies in the past, which may have just been her way of nicely talking him out of building furniture, which he thinks that he would be really good at still. He asks if she's listening to Chet Baker, surprised. She's unsure who it is,but she's loving it. He tried to get her to listen to jazz for year, even trying to ambush her into it. She stopped listening after two songs, hating the style. She thinks that its the cd he tried to get her to listen to before. She wonders why she was such a jerk. It was just one of the many things that he accepted because she was super hot. He offers to record some other stuff from vinyl if shes really loving the cd, and she accepts it, laying a kiss on his cheek. Major is left utterly confused, and leaves her to painting.

Blondie pays Liv a visit in the morgue. He jokes with her that he missed her at the zombie social. He asks where Ravi is, but he's on a call. He had no plans to eat Ravi he claims. Liv asks him if he knows why she isn't ready to kiss and make up. He knows, he turned her into a zombie, saw him kill a guy. He gets it, but says that he's not the same person the night of the party. He knows that he was a dirtbag before, and he claims that he's trying to make a change. He's no longer dealing, and he's cut out the poisonous people in his life, who were apparently the only people in his life. Liv wonders why he's telling her all this. He doesn't have anyone else. She works in the prime place to get a meal, and wonders if maybe sometimes she can help him out. She agrees, but she can't do it in the morgue, she'll have to meet him later. He's utterly relieved. He gives her the location of an internet cafe that he plans to be at later, and she agrees to meet him there.

In the alley, Blondie, Blaine has company. Hutch and Dougy have tracked him down. His former boss wants to see him now. Dougy gets out of the car, telling him that he wants him in the car. Blaine does not want to do that, he wants to go about his business, and he's feeling a little threatened. He asks Hutch if he's going to help him out. He asks Dougy to meet him there tomorrow. Liv spots Blaine in what she thinks is him making a deal, completely ruining his story of seeking redemption. Dougy threatens Blaine, telling him that he can either get in or Hutch can ball him up and throw him in. Blaine is reluctant, but he goes in. Dougy tells him that it was weird how things went down at the party, everyone thought he was dead. He's partly right. The boss thinks that the batch he was selling was cut with something lethal, that Blaine did the cutting. Blaine points out that thinking isn't really his strong suit, and that when he's running the city he won't make the same mistake. Dougy and Hutch laugh, asking what mistake was made. He underestimated the little guy. Blaine goes full zombie and splatters Dougy and Hutch around the car's interior.

Blaine goes to see his hook up from the night before. She's got a streak of white in her hair, and her skin is the color of chalk. She's seen better days as Blaine lets himself in. She's done well for herself he notes. She asks what's happened to her. He welcomes her to team Z. She's a tread spotter, he asks her if zombies are really on the decline. For a mere 29 K a month, he can give her the brains that she needs. Sure she'll need spray tans and hair coloring, but death is going to be swell. He pours her a drink, and brings out a little togo box of brains. Jackie snatches at it, but Blaine doesn't hand it over until she agrees to his terms. He gives her the first rule of brain club, and Jackie calls for her check book.

Ravi asks Liv if she got Blaine's number as she cleans up. He wants him to come in for more tests, under her supervision of course. Liv doesn't think that its a good idea. Ravi thanks her for being protective, and Liv let him know why its a bad idea. Blaine is a liar, and she thinks he's just using her for her brains. Ravi considers, if he's the only one. Liv isn't sure, but she thinks he's dangerous. Clive wonders if Liv is free tonight. Javier's art is being displayed, and he wants her to come along. He got a lead from the waitress the night of Javier's death. Artie left to go to an ATM. He attempted withdraw just down the street from the loft where Javier was murdered, which would put him in the area at the time of death. Ravi gets clarification. Artie is utterly broke, living off credit cards. Liv asks why Lola would cover for him, which is what Clive plans to ask. Ravi wants to come as well to the art show if he needs backup at the bar, and with the models.

Clive sets Ravi loose on the scene. They hear some people complaining about the spike in prices since Javier's death. Even his old work has tripled in price. Sounds like a big cha-ching for his art dealer. Clive goes off to look for the hostess. Ravi asks what Liv usually does to get a vision. Liv just walks around and hopes that something happens, which sounds lame. Ravi doesn't see it that way, he sees it as a vision quest.

Clive asks Lola why she never mentioned that Artie left her at the restaurant. She forgot. He was gone about 20 minutes, which is about the amount of time it takes to walk to her loft.

Tasha approaches Ravi, mistaking him for a detective. He tries to clarify his position, when Tasha tells him that her ex is there, and he's not suppose to be. She has a restraining order, and she'd leave but, Ravi interrupts. She shouldn't leave, and he offers to sort it out. He asks her to point him out.

Liv goes looking through Javier's old things. He left not only his art behind, but a part of himself. She wonders if she hadn't come back, what her loved ones would have. Mr. Cheekbones comes down the stairs. He thought he saw Liv slip down there. He thinks that Javier would have loved her, but now he'll never get to lay a hand on her. He's been thinking about her since the interrogation. He's heard of bad cop, good cop before, but never bad cop horny cop. She offers to go upstairs with him so he can tell her all about how he objectified him, but he'd rather have her all to himself. Liv gets another vision. Rebecca, Artie's daughter, was pregnant with his son and the pair were happy about it. Liv tells Tito that she's not the kind of girl he wants to mess with, but he definitely wants to mess with her. She tries to shoulder her way out when he grabs her. She retorts with a punch to his nose.

Clive heads over to see Artie. He congratulates him on the success, and hike in price. Artie mistook him for an art lover. Artie tries to excuse himself, as Clive points out that the extra cash will really help him pay off some of his debts, and maybe he'll even have funds to use an ATM. Liv runs over. Artie claims that Javier was his friend. Artie was in love with Lola, he thought she deserved better. Liv points out that maybe Artie killed him because he knocked up his teenage daughter. Artie looks at her in confusion, claiming that Javier was like an uncle to Rebecca. Ravi watches the exchange, as Liv doesn't believe he didn't know. Did Javier seem like the uncle type? Ravi rushes over, he has an idea, with where Liv is standing on a step higher than Artie, she would be the right height. Ravi reenacts the crime, and where the blood splatter would fall. The killer could have been Liv's size. Clive makes sure Liv is positive about the pregnancy. Lola had said that they never wanted children. Clive asks Lola if she never wanted kids. She wasn't covering for Artie, he was covering for her. The waitress wasnt' sure what time Lola arrived, only that Artie left. She killed Javier before she arrived at dinner. She found out that Javier was going to have the baby, the family he never had before him. Artie asks if she knew. Clive tells him that just a bit ago Lola confessed that Artie was gone long enough to commit the murder. When he got back from the ATM Lola was there, 30 minutes late and practically hyperventilating. When they found Javier, he knew she did it, just as she knew he would cover for her. She used him. She confesses that Javier was leaving her to start a family with a teenager. Lola is arrested for the death of her husband. Tito arrives, pissed at what Liv did to him. Clive knocks him out, and asks Liv to get him the second pair of cuffs from his car. Liv admits that he was right, its always the right

Javier's brain showed her a world that's brighter, more vibrant. Liv microwaves some brains, not wanting Lola to diminish that light. She wants to leave her family something more than report cards to remember her by. There is so much beauty in the world, and the heart wants what the heart wants. She paint feverishly, who can deny it?

Liv heads over to Major's. She tells him that apparently that mixed CD was a gateway drug, and she needs something more substantial. She takes a seat, asking if they can hang out. He wonders if she's drunk. Poor Major is confused. He thinks she's being really weird. She asks him to sit with her again. Taking a seat on his lap. She can't take another second of not being close to him. She goes to kiss him, and he pulls away. She's been icing him out for months, and her sudden change of heart has him reeling. He's done everything he could to get an ounce of affection from her. The day he came and dropped off her stuff she could barely look him in the eye, and now she can't take not being close to him? He tells her to go, and she's broken hearted, but so is he. The passionate mind is selfish, and Javier's brain made her cross the line between what she wants and what she can never have.

Liv and Peyton hang the new painting. There were so many nights that she could have spent with Major, and instead she spent them studying, she let life slip through her fingers, and now she will never have it. There were parts of her that were dead before she became a zombie, she hopes that now that she's dead there are still parts to spring to life.
