We have loved, seriously loved every year at Nerd HQ, and this year Zac is asking for everyone's help to make this year's possible. Not only is it an amazing event, it benefits a great organization : Operation Smile. So say it loud, and say it proud with me " I WANT MY NERD HQ!"
Nerds, we need your help! We started an Indigogo Campaign "I Want My Nerd HQ" to fund Nerd HQ 2014. We want to make the best possible experience for everyone to enjoy and cannot do it without you! Let's keep Nerd HQ alive so we can continue our support of Operation Smile!

SDCC 2012: Nerd Machine Announces 2nd Annual Nerd HQ

Zachary Levi and The Nerd Machine, a multimedia company dedicated to bringing the best of apparel, accessories, and both long and short form video content to customers around the globe, announced today the return of Nerd HQ during Comic-Con International 2012, July 12-15.  Located just two blocks away from the convention floor at Block No. 16 Union and Spirits (344 7TH Ave., San Diego, CA 92101), Nerd HQ gives fans a unique experience through cutting edge technology and gaming showcases, exclusive parties including Levi's annual Nerd party and exciting autograph signings. In addition Nerd HQ will bring back the popular "Conversations for a Cause" panel series, which will be webcast live on Break Media.  Event sponsors include Break Media, Square Enix, VIZIO, and Xbox.

The popular "Conversations for a Cause" panel series, which benefits Operation Smile through ticket sales, allows fans access to their favorite celebrities to have un-moderated, up close conversations. This year Break Media will broadcast the panels live on their site at www.break.com/nerdhq.  Last year's participants included Kevin Smith, Jared Padalecki, Zachary Quinto, Nathan Fillion, Olivia Munn, Felicia Day and Seth Green among others and the series raised $40,000 for Operation Smile.  Individual tickets will sell for $20.

In addition to live streaming the "Conversations for a Cause" panels, Break Media, the official digital partner of Nerd HQ, will broadcast nightly highlight reports hosted by Zachary Levi and have produced a three part original series. "Trailer Park Heroes" premieres today and features Zachary Levi, Adam Baldwin, Aly Michalka, Joel Moore, Jason Biggs and surprise guests (See Below).

Xbox, the official gaming sponsor, will provide gaming stations featuring the newest and yet-to-be released titles including the debut the first hands-on demo of the completely reborn Tomb Raider franchise from Square Enix. Also playable exclusively at Nerd HQ will be OverRun, the new multiplayer mode coming in Gears of War: Judgment.  VIZIO, the official technology sponsor of Nerd HQ, will provide laptops, tablets, and PCs for fans to demo. New LED monitors will fill the space and showcase the newest 3D and Internet App technology.  Barco, the leader in 3D pixel mapping, will be providing projection technology to create the largest 3D mapping show at Comic-Con.

Are you ready for NERD HQ at SDCC?

Nerd HQ will be back at San Diego Comic Con 2012, and it'll be bigger and better than last year! Don't believe, check out their latest release:

The Nerd Machine is ready to invade San Diego’s Gas Lamp once again with an even bigger Nerd HQ. In partnership with Break Media, XBOX, and Vizio, Nerd HQ will be the highlight of the San Diego Comic Con weekend.

 The Nerd HQ has moved to the newly created Block No. 16 Union and Spirits. which has over 15,000 square feet of gaming, technology, and entertainment for visitors to enjoy.

The “Conversations for a Cause” panels are back as well and will feature some of your favorite Comic Con icons. HQ will also be adding panels featuring gaming and technology. As always, 100% of the proceeds for the panels benefit Operation Smile.

Break media will provide Live Streaming of all the panels and daily highlight videos to make sure fans stay informed. As a bonus, SPIKE TV will be broadcasting live from HQ on Friday and Saturday to their network and digital outlets.

Xbox, the gaming sponsor of the Nerd HQ, will once again fill the event with 40 gaming stations featuring the newest and yet to be released titles. Crystal Dynamics will debut the first playable demo of the completely reborn Tomb Raider franchise, exclusively at the HQ.

Vizio, the technology sponsor of the Nerd HQ, will provide Laptops, Tablets, and PC’s for fans to demo. Their monitors will fill the space and fans will get to see their newest 3D technology with exclusive content for Nerd HQ.

Our friends at Barco will be providing projection technology to create the largest 3D pixel mapping show in town.

We look forward to adding the “Conversations” and live events schedule to the site and we will make sure to give all the nerds a week to prepare before tickets go on sale.
