Tonight it all comes to an end, the only question is, who will survive? I'm not betting on many other than Sarah Paulson.

Dandy Mott's freak banner is unfurled. The freaks wonder if anyone will really pay to see him sing. Penny thinks that they should leave and go somewhere else, but Paul points out that if there was another place for them to go, then he would go somewhere else. But, they have to eat, and Dandy has more than enough money, so they should stay on as long as they can.

Dandy goes through a dress rehearsal, unhappy with the lighting. Paul and the others return from hanging their banner, and Dandy is very unhappy to hear that they haven't sold a single ticket. Dandy blames them for the lack of ticket sales, he goes so far as to put down the freaks, and when he pokes at Penny, Paul has had enough. Eve puts Dandy down, and Paul lays it out for Dandy. His mother may have told him he was special, but he isn't. No one is willing to come to see what he has to offer, and the freaks refuse to be treated badly. They deal in the extraordinary, not the mediocre, and furthermore, they quit. The freaks leave Dandy on the ground with nothing but his broken dream.

Elsa and her carpet bag head to visit the head of the broadcasting network. The receptionist tells her, as she has for many days before, that she cannot see him without an appointment. Elsa has some new headshots, and the receptionist offers to take them along with her contact information, but Elsa refuses. She's willing to sit and wait. Elsa smokes the day away, until closing time. Mr. Gable never comes by, and the receptionist prepares to leave for the night. Elsa notes that she never saw Mr. Gable leave, and the receptionist informs her that he left out the back, to avoid her. She let Elsa sit there, like a fool for nothing, and Elsa is not pleased. She tells Elsa to change her act, that Marlena did it better, and Elsa slaps her. The security guard steps in and the commotion gets the attention of a man from the office. The receptionist tells him that Elsa has been in all week trying to see Mr. Gable without an appointment, and she's finally lost it. Michael Beck introduces himself, and he's very kind to her. He's also the Jr. Vice President of casting.

Dandy does his makeup in preparation for his show. He's not headed up on stage though, he heads out of the big top, and walks the quiet grounds, humming a happy little song. Paul comes out to ask about his last paycheck, and Dandy shoots him in the head. Penny hears the shot as she's handing laundry, but there's no place for her to hide, as Dandy approaches. Still humming he shoots her too, and goes in search of his next victim. Dandy heads over to the dining camp and kills another. Susan tries to hide from Dandy, but its no use. As freaks try to hide, Dandy kills them one by one. The gun shots finally bring Eve out, and she finds the dead Paul while Dandy guns down another. Barbara hides while Eve grabs an ax. Dandy catches up to Barbara, and heads over to Desiree's trailer. Desiree hides out in her closet, but Dandy doesn't find her. He rips it apart, before he realizes where she has to be. He approaches the door slowly, but Eve gets to him first. She tackles him to the ground, and the large woman gives Dandy the beat down he deserves. But Dandy gets the upperhand on Eve, and shoots her in the leg slowing her down, and giving him the time to get a head shot. Dandy goes back into the trailer, but he doesn't find Desiree, as she was smart enough to move. Angered, Dandy leaves, and goes to look at his prize. He has the twins gagged and tied up. He asks them to come with him.

Night has fallen over the freak show, and Jimmy finally returns. It's quiet, too quiet, and then he begins to notice that something isn't right. There's broken bottles and no one to be seen. He calls for Elsa, but she's long gone, and it looks like everyone else is too. He calls out for anyone, as he searches. Eventually he finds everyone in the big top, all of the bodies of his friends, his family. They're all dead. He closes Eve's eyes. Desiree comes up from behind him, and throws herself into his arms, she's the only one left.

Beautiful music plays in the Mott home. The Twins walk down the aisle towards a tux bound Dandy. Bette happily marries Dandy, while Dot holds her tongue. She and Bette have agreed that on her wedding night she will leave her body. Dandy hopes that sometimes, she will want to participate and warns that he can get in a temper if his manhood is compromised. A stallion has certain expectations of his mares. First, Bette tells him that they've hired a french trained cook who's prepared all of his favorites. Dandy talks his craziness at the dinner table. He's planned a honeymoon safari, where he plans to skin them cats, and make some freak babies. Bette is overly chipper, and Dot quiet, as he talks of his hope of having daily freak shows in the nursery. Dandy's drink is refilled, and he drinks deeply from it. The drink and excitement, and poison, go straight to his head. His new cook is Desiree. He tells her that she's not aloud to sit at the table, and Desiree opens her shirt, revealing her identity. The twins tell him that they would never lay with him after he killed their whole family. Dandy cannot believe that they would drug him. They thought that he loved him. Bette shoots Dandy in the arm, and order him to sit. Desiree calls in the butler, and Jimmy arrives. He asks how Jimmy came into the house, and he tells them that he had help. As Dandy wined and dined the twins, Dot spotted Jimmy in the garden, and caused a distraction so he could gain entry. Now, the freaks reveal that Dandy is going to get what he always wanted, a star attraction.

Dandy awakens chained up in a glass box, Houdini's famous escape tank. Desiree wanted to just cut off his balls, but as Carney folk, they needed to get revenge another way. Dandy pleads with everyone that he is good people,and he was just doing what he had to. He tells the twins that marriage is hard, and that he wants to just go home. They're sending him home, straight to hell. The girls hate him, they finally had friends, and he took those friends from them. Desiree tells him that there has been a lot of death there, another man was killing freaks and putting them in jars. That's where Dandy thinks that freaks should be on display, but he's worse than they are, even with his movie star good looks. Dandy offers them money, but they refuse it. Dandy doesn't thin he can die, but they have sentenced him to death. Jimmy tells him that freaks will always stick together because they have no one else, and in the end they will inherit the world. The water pours in as they watch Dandy drown. He finally got the audience he always wanted.

1960. The walk of fame is born in Hollywood. Tonight, Elsa Mars is getting ready to be honored with a star of her own. Not only does she have the Elsa Mars hour, but also many music albums. On her arm is her loving husband and manager Michael Beck. With Elsa's star laid, she films a commercial for coffee, but thinks its shit. She demands to see the writers. Michael wants her to just say the lines and be done with it, but she doesn't like how they're painting her, so she wants it rewritten. She heads back to her dressing room, and Michael brings in a VP of the network to see Elsa. She tells Elsa that they want to do a spread for Parade magazine for the couple to promote their Halloween show. Elsa refuses to perform on Halloween, but her husband tells her that she's contractually obligated, and with the huge slate of guests, her audience will love it. She tells the VP that when she met Michael he was just a Jr. VP hanging out in a lobby, and she made him her manager. She later made the mistake of making him her husband,and now he thinks that he knows what he audience wants. Her domination in the bedroom is what won him over, and how she forgot so easily, that it was he that rescued her, and took notice that day in the lobby. Elsa puts her foot down, there will be no Halloween show. She goes to leave, telling him that she has another engagement.

Elsa heads out to meet Massimo by the pool. She asks what he's been doing since Florida, apologizing for leaving so quickly. Massimo left when he did. He talks to her about getting work as a carpenter, and worked hard to build things, while the government just blew them all up. Could he be talking about Top Hat? He's seen her star, and he always knew she would find greatness, but if he had told her that back in his workshop, she wouldn't have believed him. She has all that he ever wanted for her. She admits that she is bored, and unhappy. She's surrounded by yes men, who are too afraid to tell her no. Her husband cheats on her, and she cheats on him. First she was cursed by having all her dreams taken away, and now she is cursed by getting all of her dreams. Eight years ago a friend gave her a birthday cake, and all she wanted was to be loved. But now the more she works, the further she is from that want. She wants to run away with him, like they had talked about long ago. She wants to be with someone she loves. Massimo reveals that he is now the one who is cursed. He is sick, and has only a month to live. She will be all alone when he is gone.

Michael comes to visit Elsa, but she wants him to just leave her alone. He's brought Mr. Gable to see him. She can't believe that the head of the network has come to visit her, but she remains firm that she will not do the Halloween special. Mr. Gable didn't come about the Halloween special, but instead about the old German 8mm film. The content he says is graphic in nature. Elsa claims that it is not her. Michael tells her that it looks a lot like her. The Times gave them a sneak peak, and no one will believe that it isn't her. He can't believe that she lied about losing her legs in a rail accident. Elsa points out that that is what the two of them do, they lie to eachother. Michael leaves to pack his bags. Mr. Gable isn't done though. The Times can't be persuaded to not run their story, Elsa will be ruined. And in their digging they traced her back to Jupiter, Florida where she ran a Freak Show. She admits that she did for a short time, it was an act of charity. She felt sorry for them. He tells her that they're all dead. It was some sort of massacre. They were all found in a shallow grave. Elsa is shocked. He tells her that her contract had a morals clause, and her payout is that contract. Elsa decides that she will perform on Halloween, she may as well go out with a bang.

\Elsa prepares to film the Elsa Mars Spooktacular. Elsa takes the stage knowing full well that Edward Mordrake will come for her, but she puts on a great final performance with a rendition of “We can Be Heroes.”

Desiree and her husband Theo Huxtable chase their children. Desiree sees Elsa on a passing TV, and she pauses to watch her for just a moment. She's got everything she ever wanted.

Jimmy is watching Elsa on TV as well, noting her guts. The twins come in, very pregnant. Dot is exceptionally happy, but Bette looks content. Jimmy checks on his girls and kisses Dot, while Bette reads.

Edward Mordrake returns with Twisty, summoned by Elsa's Halloween performance. His green mist pours in. The stage manager sees the fog, and thinks someone screwed up their cue. Elsa stops singing as Edward makes his way to her. He remembers her story, and Elsa wants nothing more than for him to take her away. The stage manager asks her what she is doing, and Elsa is confused. Twisty warns Elsa that it hurts but only for a moment, as Edward strikes her down. Her place isn't with them though.

Elsa enters the after life. She walks up to the familiar red and white tents. Ma Petite is waiting. She's missed Elsa. She is back among her freaks her family, they welcome her back. Ethel tells Ma Petite that she'll take her from there. Elsa asks her if she has to pay for her sins. She was merely playing the part she was given, and stars never pay. Ethel explains that they're all together and happy, but they've been missing their headliners. Elsa isn't sure that should be her, but she was never a good friend, cook or anything else, only a good headliner. Elsa happily gets ready for the full house. Ethel gives the introduction, and Elsa take the stage as she did for the first number, singing “Life on Mars” to a large adoring crowd

Dandy pays Maggie a visit, and she suspects that they've met before, she remembers his voice. It's very familiar, and it should be considering that he tried to saw her in half. He hands her $5, and she'll answer his questions. He's a heartbreaker he tells her. He's hurt someone badly, someone he counted on for help, can't help him anymore, and now he's worried that he'll have to pay. An Avon lady came to the house to pay Gloria a visit, and Dandy killed her. He cut off the woman's head, and sewed it onto his mother's body, making her into his own two headed puppet to replace the twins that left him. Maggie sees a clear ball. He'll get through the storm unscathed. Dandy asks about his past, and Maggie tells him that she does see a dark cloud. There will be rain, but it will pass. He'll go on as he has before, breaking hearts. He calls Maggie his savior, completely relieved. He throws a $100 on the table, so thankful. As Maggie goes to collect the money, he grabs her hand telling her that she shouldn't waste her powers, and Dandy slips once again from completely charming to totally creepy in two seconds flat.

Jimmy marvels over his fat lady's appetite. He's never seen anyone with such a passion for food as he feeds her chocolate pudding. He wants to see it again, all too wrapped up in his girl. Paul and Eve are a little disgusted of his lewdness. Jimmy sees Dandy leaving, and he races out to confront him. Dandy is willing to take back the twins. Jimmy knows who Dandy is now, the other clown. Dandy points out that there is nothing he hates more than an alcoholic with bad hygiene as Jimmy takes a swing at Dandy. He misses and falls to the ground. Dandy warns him that he took away his chance for happiness when he stole back the twins, and he plans to make him pay by destroying everything that he loves. Dandy walks to his car with a smirk on his lips. Things are about to get really bad for the Freaks.

Elsa and Stanley track down the twins. They tell them that the town has turned against them, and break the news about Ethel's death. The twins ask how they found them, and Elsa claims that she has her connections. In reality they searched Ethel's things, and found a note that was for Jimmy to go find the twins and keep them safe, and their location. Elsa tells them that she has done what they asked, and she's going to not only get them out of there, but keep them safe. She's even consulted the doctor as Bette had asked.

Maggie and Desiree try to avoid being seen as they sneak away, but they're stopped by Theodore Huxtable, who has come to see Mrs. Desiree the most beautiful woman in the world. She tells him that he can wait to see her like everyone else at showtime. Maggie warns him off, but Desiree tells her that its fine. Desiree croons to him that he needs more discretion, and she'll see him soon. She heads back to Maggie, telling her that the man is her beau, but to keep it quiet. The pair sneak into Barbara's tent and find Jimmy taking the woman from behind, which hurts Maggie. He can't get off though, and Maggie points out that he'd screw anything in his current state. Maggie tries to run off, but Jimmy grabs her back. He tells her that Barbara begged him to touch her, and to look at he soft curves, her huge breasts. He swears that she tastes like a lollypop, Maggie slaps him. Barbara tries to stick up for Jimmy, threatening to flatten Maggie, but the girl has spunk. She tells her that she's nothing and Barbara turns to Jimmy for reassurances, but he merely vomits.

Some ladies sit around chatting about their newfound talents. One comes out of the backroom. Jimmy's drinking has affected his gigolo side gig, causing him to miss his target. He stumbles out of the room. Can someone please sober him up, this storyline is already boring. He sees his dead mother, who tells him that he's disgusting, and that she's rolling over in her grave. He falls to his knees, asking his mother why she did what she did to him. One of the girls asks her about how she kept left overs in her days. He cries in her lap as she says how she spent her days raising a no good drunk like his father, and how he's wasting his life grieving over her. Jimmy snaps out of it, and sees that the woman he has his face buried in her lap is not his mother as he's asked to leave. He leaves, and the ladies go back to their tupperware party. There's a knock at the door and they think Jimmy has returned, but its not Jimmy, its Dandy. The dumb unsuspecting women let the dashing Dandy in, as he makes an excuse to use their phone. The woman is absolutely charmed by him, and lets him in.

Elsa and Stanley drive the twins out to a barn in the middle of nowhere. Elsa and Stanley have already brought the Twins' things, and even some of Elsa's to make the barn more hospitable. They ask how long they're expected to wait there, and where the doctor will take them. There's a table in the barn, the doctor isn't taking them anywhere. Really, it looks like an elaborate plan Elsa and Stanley cooked up to get rid of the twins. Although Elsa feels bad, and genuinely claimed to love her monsters, she's going along with the plan. Stanley pushes. He tells her that the best way to send the girls off is to give them what they want, and he claims that he's called the doctor. Its a win win. Once the girls are separated, then they can live their separate lives there, and he and Elsa can go off to Hollywood. Now, outside Elsa asks why there's a table in the barn. Stanley explains that its for the initial exam, once that's complete, the twins will be transferred undercover to a hospital where the procedure will be performed. Stanley tries to assure the twins, that the procedure will be good for both of them, that the doctor has perfected his technique and they will both live through it. Dot even tries to convince Bette of the benefits, that she can go to the movies whenever she wants, and even dance all night. Bette points out that she'll only have one leg. Stanley thinks they can be split right down the middle, which Bette finds heartbreaking. This is what Dot wants. She wants her freedom, and a chance for love. Bette won't do it, she thinks its barbaric. Stanley and Elsa head out so that they can collect the doctor.

The housewife's husband returns home, complaining that her friends are blocking the driveway. He allowed her to throw the party, with the understanding that they wouldn't, and he had to park down the street. Parking is the least of his problems. Sylvia doesn't answer, and then he notices his pool. Sylvia and all of her friends have been murdered, and their blood coats the water.

Dandy hums a happy song as he pours some blood into his bath. Regina returns, warning Dandy that she's gone to the cops for help finding her mother. Dandy smugly confesses that he killed her mother and Regina is instantly distraught. She notices the blood splatter all over the teddy bears and the room. It's not her mother's blood, but his. He tells her that he's finally embraced the power of bathing in blood. He confesses further that the blood in the tub is that of some nice ladies that he just murdered. He locks Regina in the room with him, and asks that she bathe with him like they did as children. He heads toward the tub, disrobing, asking her when she knew he was destined for this future. He thinks that he is a God, a God chosen to walk among men. He tells Regina that he has no plans to kill her, he just wants her to get in the tub. She doesn't want to though, she wants to leave. Dandy is disappointed, but he lets her go. It'll be lonely, but he thinks he is above the law.

Bette knows that Dot is disappointed. Everyone thinks that Dot is the smart one, but Bette has been paying attention, they can't both survive the surgery. Dot doesn't want Bette dead, she thinks that it is possible for both of them to survive, and furthermore, she feels like they have to take the chance at a normal life. Bette remembers their mother, how she didn't want to buy them lace up shoes, thinking that they would never be able to tie them, but they mastered it, and needlepoint too. Together there was nothing they couldn't do. They're special, they have a connection no one else would have been able to handle, and that connection has able to love another person like they've loved each other. Bette admits that she too has the same dreams of separation, but thinks that she wouldn't survive without Dot. She'd be too lonely. But Bette is ready. She would rather they thrive, even if its only one of them, then to stay together and wither away. If the choice comes down to only one of them, then Bette is willing to give her life so that Dot can survive. The twins truly love each other, and they're ready to be apart.

Back at the Freak Show, Dell has a hard time writing a letter to Desiree, so he scraps it, and tries to write one to Jimmy, his son in between drinks. Drunkingly he walks away from the show, when Stanley finds him. Dell tells him that it isn't his business, but everything is his business. Stanley asks if he's headed back to the club for his hustler. Stanley tells him that he's long gone. Dell grabs him, thinking he knows where Andy has gone, but he doesn't. Stanley taunts him, telling him that he's walking around like a guilty man, half-cocked. Stanley is never half-cocked though, and shows him. Dell sees that Stanley is a freak too, and alludes that it gets larger when angry. Stanley offers to let him touch him, that it can be their secret. Dell hesistates. In his letter he wrote down some of his secrets, of the reasons that he couldn't go on. The ghost of Ma Petite orders him to sign his letter when he hesitates. He heads over to the noose, and can't quite bring himself to use it. Ethel's ghost taunts him calling him a coward. She's not there to talk him out of killing himself, but pushing him to do it. Dell can't take the shame of it all anymore. Ethel calls him a freak, and he is. He's not sure how she was able to live that way. Most of them carry their shame on the outside, but Dell kept his on the inside. She understands. The shame eats away, until there is nothing left but the rot. Dell can't take it anymore. Ethel knows that he was always weak, no matter how many steel bars he bent, he was still weak inside. She tells him to step up on the bar and just get it done. He steps onto a chair, and places the noose around his neck and steps off the chair. He chokes, banging around, until he nearly blacks out. Desiree found him before he could die, and cut him down. She falls to her knees, and they both cry.

Stanley waits at a seedy motel, and the “doctor” has arrived. The pretty boy takes off his coat, but there's work to be done first. Stanley tests him, in preparation for their meeting with the twins. He may be pretty, but he doesn't know his lines. Stanley gets him to good enough before ordering him to his knees.

Regina returns to Dandy's home with an officer. Regina has made some serious accusations against Dandy, and he's come to question him. Dandy welcomes them inside, offering drinks. The officer is eager to get this over quickly as Regina spouts off accusations. He tells him if his mother could just come down and clear things up. Dandy admits that he and Regina use to be friends, that they grew up together, but things changed when he realized that they were not the same station. Regina runs her mouth again. Dandy goes on, he's never known Regina to lie, and if she says that he killed them, then they must be dead. What Regina didn't say though is that the Mott's own the biggest frozen food company in America, and they have a whole lot of money. The fortune left to him could sustain a small country. He's seen the face of God. The officer fingers his gun, warning Dandy that he's digging himself a hole. Instead Dandy suggests that he dig a hole, and work for him, and he'll pay him a million dollars. The cop doesn't hesitate to shoot Regina in the head, asking for a shovel. Maggie has no clue the monster she unleashed by telling him that he wouldn't get caught.

Jimmy comes back to find that Ethel's banner is being removed. He wants it put back up. He rages at Eve, but ultimately takes his bottle back to his trailer as he stumbles in. The twins are inside waiting for him. They tell him that they were about to do something horrible. Dot admits that it was she that was going to do something horrible. She finally realizes the mistake. Bette isn't the problem, she's the purest part of their soul, she's family. Jimmy knows that family doesn't stay, even that goes away. Dot grabs his hand. She knows his pain, and she's sorry for his lost, but he doesn't have to be alone anymore. She admits to him that she has loved him since she first laid eyes on him. He looked at her, and he didn't flinch, only saw her. Dot drops her robe, exposing them to Jimmy. She wants to replace the hurt that he feels with love. Jimmy asks Bette how she feels, but Bette is willing to support her sister. If she wants Jimmy, then Bette is willing to go along with it. Dot kisses Jimmy, and he pulls away. He reluctantly admits that he's in love with someone else. The twins leave Jimmy, and he picks up his bottle again, but he doesn't take another drink. Instead he smashes it against a wall. Sirens sound, as a cop car comes to take Jimmy away. He's being arrested for murders of Sylvia and her friends. Maggie comes running out, as Jimmy tells them that he doesn't know any of those women. They found his gloves at the scene of the crime though. Maggie claims that he's been there all day, and tries to stop them from taking him, but they push her away, and take him anyways. Poor Jimmy.

Gloria smokes her cigarette, fearing that she'll lose her precious baby she tells her therapist. Her Dandy was a perfectly cruel aristocratic boy she thought when he tortured and cut Dora's daughter's hair. She didn't think much of it. No didn't have the meaning that it should have as Dandy grew up. No, was a battlecry to him. And when he was told no, he killed the cat. He was rarely out of her sight after that. She did allow him to be socialized with other children, she knew she needed to. He took a liking to the gardener's son, which made her happy until he disappeared never to be seen from again. The Dr. suggests that he see Dandy, but Gloria doesn't think that he'll go for that. He asks if a recent event has caused her sudden anxiety about her son. She says no, but the memories of him killing Dora and being covered in her blood haunt her.

The freaks search for Ma Petite. She's so tiny that Jimmy fears even if she were screaming that they wouldn't hear her. He uses a dog to try to track her down, and he finds her. Jimmy brings her bloody dress back to Elsa in the big top. Elsa takes her loss hard. They suspect an animal took the tiny woman. Ethel doesn't look so convinced. In her tent Elsa thinks about Ma Petite. Ethel comes to check on her, bringing her dinner. Elsa cancels Christmas. Ethel tells her that she put on quite a show in the tent, clutching the bloody dress. She's never seen her put on a bigger act. Elsa slaps her. The only thing precious to her is the roar of the crowd, Ethel says, knowing how she hates anyone who steals her spotlight. Elsa could never snuff out innocence. Ethel has heard too many stories about Elsa, and she knows her too well. Elsa knocks back the drinks, she still considers herself everyone's savior. She doesn't appreciate being called a murderer when she's already lost so much. Elsa was a mother to them, most of who never knew their own mothers, its how they were sucked in. Elsa did not kill anyone she claims. Ethel asks about the twins, she heard her and Stanley plotting their demise. She wanted to be rid of them, true, but she never killed them, and she cannot take anymore. Elsa has lost two friends tonight, she tries to leave, and Ethel takes a shot at her. She hits her in one of her prosthetic legs. Ethel doesn't know Elsa as wells as she claims. Elsa tells Ethel about how her legs were crafted lovingly by the Axeman err, Massimo Dolcefino. He was an artisan prosthetist during the war, and a cinematic propmaker after. Ethel doesn't understand why she hid the truth for so long. Elsa thinks that she's going to kill her, but Ethel plans to kill them both. She knows that Jimmy will be fine, she's planned for him. Elsa offers Ethel a drink before dying. Ethel is sorry that Elsa won't be going to Hollywood, Elsa is only sorry she won't be joining her as Elsa throws a knife at Ethel, killing her. She looks a little horrified by her actions.

Dell tells Jimmy that Maggie was found distraught near the ferriswheel. Maggie is in tears, and Jimmy runs to her. Maggie tells the Freaks that she was picking flowers for Ma Petite when she saw a car crash nearby. It was Ethel, and worse, Maggie is sure she crashed on purpose. Jimmy doesn't want to believe that his mother would commit suicide, but Desiree admits that she was very sick. Dell backs up the story. They all head out to the scene of the death, and find that Ethel was beheaded in the crash. Stanley points out a chain nearby that he figures she wrapped around her neck to facilitate her quick death. During the planning Elsa didn't understand why the accident was needed, but Stanley pointed out that it would cover a multitude of sins, namely hers. Elsa is mournful over Ethel's death, claiming that she had to protect her precious angels,but Stanley knows she did it all to protect herself. And as his client, he's forced to protect her. Elsa falls to her knees mourning Ethel. Crying and screaming that she could have helped. Jimmy and everyone else buys the performance.

Regina has come to find out about her mother, as she still has not returned her call. Dandy hasn't had any answers for her, telling Regina that his mother was the last to see Dora. Gloria spins a tale of squash buying in a distant town, and picking up auction items as the reason for her absence. She isn't sure when Dora will return, but Regina will wait, going back to her game of Candy Land with Dandy.

Jimmy says a few words about his mother as the freaks stand around yet another grave. She was a woman of many facets. The teller of bawdy jokes, the fixer of things, the lover of poetry, and devoted mother. Jimmy breaks down in tears, and Ethel's body is lowered and laid to rest, only the women remain. Desiree sees the strength in Ethel. She had a hard life, and yet she remained strong. Penny understands her. She tried to be strong and was punished by her father for living her own life, by being turned into a lizard. The women won't stand for that anymore, they plan to do something about it.

Dandy takes a Rorschach tests, and rocks it with his disturbing imagery. He thinks he's there for an IQ test, and is a little put off when the therapist wants to see him a few times a week. He asks about the Cannibals in Papua New Guinea, pondering if you can take someone's power by eating their flesh, or if blood bathing would do the same. Danger, danger Dandy is about to do something heinous.

Dandy returns home, upset with his mother about her deception. He tells her that he'll never go back to see the doctor. She doesn't think he's sick, but rather spirited. Regina finds that laughable, and knows her mother is not out buying squash. Gloria tells her her mother will likely be back by dinner the following night. Regina warns if she isn't she's going to the police. Dandy offers a bargain. He'll go back to the doctor, in fact, he'll go for an entire month all she has to do is kill Regina. He points out that Gloria is a horrible liar, and that Regina wants to send him to the electric chair. If he goes, he's taking his dear old mother with him, seated comfortably on his lap. Gloria looks at her precious boy in horror.

Elsa heads to a wellness center. She's in need of a new act, and she finds a very hefty woman on a weight-loss machine. She has a pretty face, and Elsa is interested. She's miserable. She hates her entire debutante life, and she likes herself the way she is. Elsa paints a picture where she'll be celebrated for her size.

The women of the freak show have a notorious plan. Penny wants to take it from there alone, but Desiree refuses to let her do the plan alone. The women set out. Suzi slips in through a window, and lets the rest of the raiding party in. Penny's father hears a noise downstairs and heads off to investigate, shotgun in hand. He sees Penny coming up the stairs. He asks how she got in, since they changed the locks, but Penny tells him that locks can't stop them. The other women come out of their hiding place, and knock him out.

Jimmy drowns his sorrows, when Elsa has a table brought in and tons of food. Jimmy isn't hungry, he's busy drinking his way through mourning. Jimmy doesn't know why she isn't feeling it more, he just lost his mother. Elsa was as much his mother as Ethel. She taught everyone to care for him as a baby. Elsa brings in her newest act, claiming that she's doing it for him. The show must go on. The woman sits down and begins to eat. Elsa points out the woman's beauty, how he could find comfort in her abundant bosom. Jimmy is disgusted by Elsa and her actions. The show is over, but Jimmy couldn't be more wrong, Elsa still has big plans.

Back in Desiree's trailer, they have Penny's dad tied up. Penny goes to grab the pillows as Eve grabs the tar. He cries for God. There is no God coming to his rescue for what he did to his daughter. Desiree plans to cut off his penis when they're done, and kill him, dumping his body in the river. To see if the gators have any use of his when they're done. Penny rushes in, stopping Eve for a moment. She wants to be the one to administer justice. They start to pour the tar on him, Maggie hears his cries and heads towards the noise. She finds the women have tarred and feathered Penny's father. Desiree tells Maggie to get out, that this is freak business. Maggie tells her that this will change her, that she's risking everything she does have, like Paul and his love, for this one act against her father. She doesn't know what its like to be an outsider, like the rest of them Desiree points out. Always being told they're not good enough for something because someone else said so. Maggie can't really understand what its like for the rest of them, but they don't know what sort of chances they have left either. If they do this, their chances will be numbered to. Desiree hands over the knife to Penny. Penny proclaims herself the lizard girl, and tells him that he only gets to live because she says so, but should he come near her or hers then she will kill him. Desiree orders Eve to take him to the edge of camp and let him crawl home.

Gloria notifies her therapist that she's booked passage, and is leaving with Dandy. He doesn't think it a good idea. He recommends committing Dandy. She doesn't find that a good idea, that he's fragile. The Dr. fears for her safety. Gloria finds his services no longer needed and hangs up. Dandy heard the whole exchange. He doesn't like that his mother finds him damaged or fragile. She was only trying to placate the doctor. He blames his own unbalance on his mother. Her father lost it all, and she was desperate to get their wealth back, so much so that she married her own cousin. Dandy doesn't want to go anywhere with someone that hates him so. Gloria doesn't hate him, she's always loved him. She has no more to give, he's wiped her out. He puts a gun to his head, sorry that he's been such a strain on her. She can't bear for him to do this, begs him not to, so he doesn't. He shoots her in the head instead.

Jimmy stacks his bottles. Maggie would have thought he would have sobered up by now, but it looks like he has no intention of doing so. He can't be in charge if he's drunk. The best way to move on is to take care of business around there. They were suppose to leave, but there's no hope of that with the path he's on. Maggie fell in love with a learder. Jimmy can't compartmentalize his feelings, and he tells her to get lost. Maggie knows that Jimmy blames himself, thinks he could have saved her, but he couldn't. She doesn't understand he thinks. Maggie tries to grab the bottle away from Jimmy and he tells her that she shouldn't be bothered with the likes of him, that she should have her beautiful life with someone else. Maggie leaves in clear. Jimmy notices Barbara, and falls into her large bosom in tears.

Man child Dandy heads off to his bath, literally bathing in his mother's blood.

Bette eats ice cream as Dandy brings in Jimmy. He and Gloria say how the twins are free to leave whenever they want. Jimmy urges them to leave, that they can be more than just an object on display for Dandy's amusement. Bette isn't sure how the freakshow is any different. They would be among their own kind, family who wouldn't judge them or their differences for their amusement. Gloria insists that they paid good money for them, and Bette points out that Jimmy took credit for saving the kids during the clown murders, but Dandy was the one that did it while Jimmy was unconscious. The girls don't know the truth, and Jimmy is starting to piece things together. Twisty had an accomplice. Jimmy insists that they come with him. Dandy tells her that he would never allow Dot to get the surgery, and Jimmy asks Dandy about cutting girls in half. Dot realizes that Dandy read her diary, and she wants to leave. Dandy tells Bette that they're in love, and she agrees, he thinks that trumps everything. Jimmy wants the girls to be free to decide. Dandy pleads with Bette to stay and live forever with him. She apologizes, she chooses her sister, and tells him that they have to go. They leave with Jimmy, and Dandy is not pleased at all.

Back at the freak show Jimmy takes the stage during the rehersal sinigng a little Nirvana Come as You Are. Elsa watches in displeasure as he belts out the lyrics. Penny patches up her love Paul. Dell remains hopeful about Andy, but he hasn't been seen, the bartender thinking that he ran off with one of his other clients. And Dell slams his head on the bar. Elsa gives Jimmy some harsh criticism. She doens't like his song or delivery, but he's not changing anything. And he's not taking orders from her anymore. She lied about what happened to the twins, and Jimmy is giving them a chance to tell their story. Dot tells everyone that the story isn't quite the truth. Dot claims that Jimmy misunderstood. Elsa didn't sell them off, they asked to go. They wanted to experience the finer things in life, and she allowed them to go, with the understanding that they could come back at any time. Elsa eats up the story, and Bette looks slightly ashamed. Jimmy walks off in a huff.

Desiree takes Edna to the doctor that is suppose to take care of her, but they find that it is closed for business. They go in anyways to find out what happened. The doctor's daughter tells them that he is dead. She thinks that the women are responsible for what happened to her father, that both of his hands were smashed before he was shot in the head. Both women have no choice but to leave.

Richard plays with some of the carnival games, joking that he can't get it up. Dell is in a foul mood. Richard has seen him in town, he even saw his little incident with the bartender over one of those lovely boys. Dell goes to take a swing at Richard, but Maggie calls out to them and Dell puts down the hammer. First rule of blackmailing the strongman, is to have witnesses. Richard takes Dell inside. Dell is his ideal man, he lacks scruples, he can kill a man with his bare hands, and he'll do it because he has secrets. Dell doesn't like the fact that Richard is blackmailing, but he doesn't really have a choice . Richard gets to the point. Kill a freak and deliver the body, or he'll out him.

Jimmy lies in bed holding Maggie in his arms. He isn't happy about the twins' change of heart on their Elsa story. He wonders what has them all screwed up. Maggie wonders if its another sign, that it's time for them to go. He hasn't changed his mind about leaving, and Maggie pleads for them to leave. Jimmy can't leave yet. Dandy looks at the twins creepily, and he wonders if Maggie would recognize the other clown if they saw him. She isn't sure she could. Jimmy wants a few more days, and Maggie fears that they'll never leave.

Dell goes after his target. He chooses Amazon Eve to try to chloroform as she sleeps. Of all the freaks to go after she would be my last choice. Eve beats Dell off of her, and throws him out of her trailer. Taunting him more. He definitely messed with the wrong freak.

Eve gets iced. Jimmy wants to go to the cops about Dell, but Edna wants to handle it themselves. She thinks that they should sneak into his trailer and kill him. Edna has known him for a long time, and knows that he is capable of much evilness. Jimmy thinks that the plan is going too far. Eve points out that if it had been Maggie, he would have shot Dell. Edna knows her boy sees the world as being inherently good, but it isn't. The world is evil, and full of evils and they cannot stand for what Dell is doing. Jimmy promises to take care of things, and Edna tells him that either he handles it or they will.

Jimmy goes out to chat with Dell as he's taunting another person about their lack of strength. Jimmy has come out for a private conversation. Richard is watching the whole exchange. Dell will chat with Jimmy, and chooses a location in town for their heart to heart.

Elsa brings the twins into her tent. She wants to know what their little story is going to cost her. She knows that she cannot compete with Hollywood. The twins don't want to bet on the unknown, they would rather deal with the devil they know. Bette tells Elsa she wants Caviar, blonde hair, to be a comedian, 20% of the box office and the money Elsa got when she sold them. Elsa commends her choices and asks what Dot wants. Dot hits Elsa where it hurts and asks for 50%.

Dell throws back shots of gasoline, but Jimmy refuses to drink because of what happened to his mother. Dell tells her that becoming an alcoholic takes effort. Jimmy gets down to business. He tells him that there's a lynch mob in the making over what happened with Eve. Dell tries to get sympathy, claiming that he did nothing more than try to talk about an act when she attacked. It really doesn't matter what started it, the freaks have had enough trouble the past year, and Dell really wouldn't be missed when he's gone. Jimmy shares a drink with Dell, and removes his glove to pout another. Dell watches him cover up his hands. Dell knows that it must be uncomfortably hot. It is, but its worth the trouble to be able to be in the open with normal people. Jimmy tells him of a time they got stuck in the freezing cold for the winter, he hunted, and in the end it was the best time of his life because he was just another guy with gloves. Dell takes off Jimmy's gloves and tells him that if anyone gives him grief, he'll break his head. Jimmy teases, unless its a girl. The pair have a laugh, and then the liquor catches up to him. Jimmy goes out back and tosses his cookies. Dell tries to get up the courage to bash his head in with a brick. As Jimmy rights himself, he reveals that he knows that Dell is his father. Dell admits it, and embraces his son, dropping the brick, and taking his boy home.

The pair make it back to the Freak Show early the next morning, still drunk, and singing together at the top of their lungs. Elsa tells them that she will not let them wake up everyone. Desiree tells Jimmy that he shouldn't let Dell corrupt him, that he can still make something better of himself. Dell admits that Jimmy is his son. Elsa tells the pair to get some sleep. Dell gives him some Toledo knowledge, that he can't let a woman boss him around if he wants to keep his balls. Jimmy tells her that things need to change around there, that she has two strong bulls. Dell carries off his son to bed as Eve watches from her window. Jimmy tells his father goodnight, and Dell covers him with a blanket, tucking him in for the first time. Leaving Jimmy's trailer Stanley calls Dell a queer. He was referring to his cigarette this time, warning Dell that he's trying his patience.

Penny returns home quietly. Her father is sitting up waiting. He asks if she was there again with him, and she confesses that she was. She came home just to pack her things, and warns that he would have to kill her to keep her from running off. She thinks him to vain to not allow a piece of him to survive, but he points out that his job hinges on his reputation, and he would do many things to keep her from sullying it. She goes too far. She's going to run away with Paul and scream loud and proud who her father is, and that she chose to join the freaks because with them was better than her home life. Daddy may not be a murderer, but he is a man pushed too far. He's invited over Morris to give her a proper send off. Out comes Morris, a man covered in tattoos.

Bette gets a make over, she's all blonde. Dot thinks that she looks like their mother, she's even wearing the same shade of lipstick their mother wore. Bette thinks she looks like the actress, Eve Arden. Something has gotten into Bette's bubble head. She thinks that she's become smart with her beauty. She talks down to her sister, whom she considers to be the caterpillar, telling Elsa that they should have a new act where the ugly duckling becomes her, the beautiful swan. Elsa feigns joy to be included in her act, as she slips Dot a note. Bette continues to fuss over her appearance. As Bette sleeps, Dot reads her note from Elsa. Elsa noticed that Dot hardly said a word during the negotiation until she mentioned the money. She wants to know what Dot wants with the money, tells her to just tell her her heart's desire and she will make it happen.

Dot sends a note with Pepper to Elsa as a response. Dot does want something, she still desires freedom. She knows of a doctor that separated another set of twins, Dr. Oscar Sugar. She wants Elsa to help her find the doctor and convince him to preform the surgery. Her secret is safe so long as Dot gets what she wants. Elsa mulls over her options.

Morris gets to work. The skin is a beautiful canvas, and she is his masterpiece. Penny begins to wake, and her father can't wait for her to see what Morris has done. She cries that her face hurts. Beauty is painful he tells her. He shows her her new look in the mirror and it is horrifying, and worse, he's had her hair cut and tongue forked.

Stanley eats his meal, while Elsa stews. The twins are back and their a bigger pain in the ass than ever. She wants Stanley to locate the twin separating doctor, and send him far away to Chicago, so he is out of her way. Stanley moves onto Elsa's steak. Stanley thinks that instead of going to all the trouble with the doctor, that maybe quietly relieving the twins of their misery would be the answer. Elsa asks for clarification, and Stanley suggests a mercy killing. Elsa asks if he knew that they killed their mother, and then one tried to kill the other, but she forgets who was the culprit there. Ethel brings in a dessert, and leaves it for them to serve themselves. Ethel clears the table. Stanley digs into the dessert. Elsa has heard about men who would kill for their clients, and it looks like she's found one.

Dell pays MaPetite a visit with a gift in his hand. He opens the box for her, and its a pretty new gown. She can't wait to try it on. Dell looks horribly sad for what he's thinking of doing. She comes out in the pretty dress, asking him to zip her up. She gives him a hug, and he crushes her small body.

Paul wakes to a keening, he thinks its a haunting. It's Penny hiding in the shadows. She shows him her new face, and he cries over what's been caused because of him.

At the Museum they unveil the latest acquisition. They trust that it will bring thousands of visitors. She unveils Ma Petite in a jar, and it looks like this flash forward is true.

We got plenty of backstories with the emergence of Edward Mordrake, but with his freak claimed (goodbye Twisty, scared the crap out of us and you will be missed) Mordrake is gone, and there are still back stories to be had. This week we get some insight into Dell and Desiree, and Dandy continues his dark path with Murder Club.

But first, The American Morbidity museum has a night of discovery. Stanley and Maggie are in attendance. Mr. Martow is recognized, though Stanley thinks that he and Maggie should be the ones who are recognized, but they are well paid. The Seal boy is dead and on display. It's a nice fantasy for Stanley, but Maggie points out that they don't have the tanks yet. He has a source for them lined up. The bodies will be stored out of town until they can be sold. Maggie won't be a part of the murder, Stanley will just have to find a way to preserve the bodies, and keep Elsa on the hook. Maggie knocks over some of Stanley's boy toy magazines. She tells him to put a little lead in his loafers, the only thing people in the town hate more than freaks are poofs. Stanley puts away the mags, and she's in, with a little pay bump since she has to live among the freaks. Stanley plans some bad luck for the freaks.

Gloria comes down to find her housekeeper Dora murdered. Dandy rushes down to see what his mother is screaming about. Dandy claims that someone must have broken in and killed her, but his mother knows the truth. She sends him to his room while she cleans up his mess.

Stanley pays Elsa a visit in her tent. It's a full house they're preparing for, and they're on a tight schedule. Stanley makes his pitch, claiming to be from Hollywood, but he missteps when he tells her that he works for the largest television station. Elsa has much disdain for television, she would rather be boiled in oil than be on television. She finds television depressing. He tries to stroke her ego, but Elsa doesn't want her name along side of instant coffee or shampoo. She doesn't believe that television will ever replace the big screen. Movies are a reflection of the soul. She vows to never participate in what she considers the death of art and civilization. Stanley bows out gracefully.

Jimmy goes over his act, when Maggie sneaks up on him, surprised that he still rehearses. Even after all these years of performing in front of people he still gets stage fright. Maggie offers to read his hand to take his mind off of things, and he reluctantly allows her to. She tells him that she sees a shadow, a man. He's a liar, and she warns him to stay away from him. Could it be that having been saved by the charming Jimmy has softened her just a touch? Maggie tells him to leave, to go to New York. She tells him that he's smart, good looking, that he could do anything that he wants. He leans in to kiss her, and she pulls away. He could do anything he wants, but kiss her apparently. His future is bright, but he still doesn't have a chance with a girl like her. He stomps away, and Maggie is torn between calling him back and standing her ground.

The big top is full, and Dell is no where to be found. Ethel is not pleased at all, thinking that Dell is likely drunk in his trailer. Jimmy heads off to find Dell, and instead finds a drunk Desiree. Dell isn't there. He tells her to get her stuff ready, but she isn't in the mood. Everyone has misconceptions about Dell she says. She's always been a freak, but he made her feel special. With him, she'd never felt more alive in her life, and now she feels nothing. She pours another drink, and Jimmy takes a seat. The whole town has come to see him, but he says that he didn't do anything. He let his pride and his anger get the best of him, and now Meep is dead. Jimmy breaks down in tears, it should have been him. He was suppose to protect him. Desiree comforts Jimmy, and he leans in to kiss her. She pulls away for only a split second before going for it. She desperately wants to feel something, and begs Jimmy to help her. Jimmy inserts his flipper, and she's enjoying it, until she tells him to stop. When he pulls back there's blood. He calls for a doctor, and the freaks come running. The show must go on, so Ethel takes care of Desiree, and Jimmy heads to the stage.

The pinheads open the show, and Elsa comes out again in her blue suit singing Bowie. The people do not appreciate her act at all. They're noisy and they throw her off her game. All of Stanley's words about performing in front of rednecks come back to her. They boo her off the stage, and back in her tent she's open to Stanley's TV offer.

Ethel takes Desiree to the same nice doctor who helped her out. Desiree is nervous, having not been to the doctor ever. Desiree stops Ethel from leaving. She doesn't have regular menses, but thinks that this is something different. She thinks that Jimmy pierced a hole in her. He lays her down to examine her, and Ethel gives her suggestions to make it easier. He asks about her birth, and Desiree tells how the doctor proclaimed her a boy at birth, until she was twelve and grew breasts. The doctor explains that she was never a boy, the midwife was wrong, her body was just confused and then produced more estrogen to compensate. Her penis isn't a penis at all, but rather an enlarged clitoris, which he can reduce. The bleeding was a miscarriage. If she waits a few months she and Dell can try again. Desiree is shocked to hear she can have a baby.

Gloria has her gardeners dig and extra deep flower bed for her Narcisse flowers. 12 feet is very deep. With Dora planted, Dandy and Gloria place bulbs over the grave. It the spring they'll have some beautiful flowers. Dandy apologizes for killing Dora. He's sick like his father. Afflictions are common in wealthy families, who inbreed to protect money. Having a psychopath or two is a right of passage, Jack the Ripper was a Windsor she claims. Dandy just wanted to be an actor. He needs to express himself. He pleads with his mother, he doesn't want to be like his father. Gloria won't hear of it though. She tells him that he cannot go around picking up vagrants and killing them, she'll figure something out.

Elsa prepares, putting on her makeup, Ma petite does her nails while David Bowie plays in the background. She needs to become a fantasy, but hers is shattered as she sees Dot and Bette getting into Stanley's car. Flash forward to the museum. The Twin's shoulders and head are unveiled. One twin looks less pristine than the other, and the curator asks how they expired. Stanley says that the droopy one caught a cold. Stanley takes the twins on a picnic to talk about their television future, and he presents them with a pair of pink cupcakes. Bette is ecstatic over the cupcakes, taking a big bite. Stanley did the baking and he added a little extra to them, just a little drop of poison. Dot isn't so easily sold, she wants to know more about this show. A whole hour seems too much, there's no way for her to learn so many songs all the time. Stanley suggests that they invite other guests. As Stanley mentions possible co-stars, Bette begins to cough and then foam at the mouth. Her sister calls her a glutton. The cold future Stanley says started out as the sniffles and then turned into pneumonia. Back at the tent Dot panics because of the pain. She cannot feel her sister, and she begs her to wake up, but her sister is clearly dead. Dot asks Stanley to take her to the hospital, and he offers her a cupcake. She refuses, and he's forced to smother her. Jump back before the cupcake eating. Stanley offers Bette a cupcake, but Dot doesn't let her have any. If they're going to be television personalities they have to watch their figures.

Dandy was destined to be the greatest actor of all time he says as he does his crazy pants work out in his tidy whiteys. He makes faces in mirror, if only his mother would let him be the actor he desires to be he would be great. His body is America, strong, violent and full of limitless potential. He will be the US steel of murder. He cannot love, he felt nothing as he stared into Dora's eyes and killed her. The clown was put on earth to teach him the sweet song of murder. He's no clown, he's perfection and the future starts tonight.

He heads to a Gentlemen's club. For a town that hates poofs, they have a whole lot of them, and an exclusive club. He takes a moment to look over Twisty's wanted poster before heading in and running into Dell. Dell is busy getting drinks for he and the delectable Andy (Matt Bomer.) Dell looks over his artwork, feeling like his talent is wasted in the bar being a paid boy toy. Andy has heard in LA they pay the caricature artists $2 dollars a picture. He could live off his artistic talents rather than his uh-hem talents. Dell doesn't want Andy to go off with someone else. He's overly possessive, and he tells Andy that if he's getting out of that place, its with him. Andy doesn't have any plans to leave, he makes a good living where he is. Dell's green eyed monster flares all the more. He doesn't want to hear about Andy's other customers, he thinks he's special, but to Andy he's just another customer. Dell is there daily, he drinks and talks about real life. It's not just about the money. Sure they talk, but Dell is out the door running back to his wife before Andy is even cleaned up. Andy would do just about anything for a little normalcy. Dell may be a freak, but he's still hiding when he doesn't have to. Andy wants to knows his plan. Dell will eventually leave, and he doesn't want Andy to be stuck in this place. Andy thinks that Dell still loves his wife. He does, but he has problems too. The pain of the performance is a lot, and still he endures it. The pain of knowing Andy is going home with someone else is almost too much though. He doesn't want to love someone he can't have. Andy makes it clear when he's in the club he's working, and Dell storms off. It's not long before Dandy takes an interest.

Elsa comes to see the Twins. Bette doesn't understand why they shouldn't take the opportunity, but they're surprised to find Elsa there. She tells them that Stanley has asked her to host her own show too. She will be their mentors, and she tells them to get some rest. They'll need to be outfitted by the seamstress. Dot knows that Elsa is mad about something, but Bette is too childlike to pick up on it.

Lights out at the circus. Dell returns home to his wife. He claims that he was out looking for her. She tells him that she had to go to the doctor, that the doctor said she was 100% woman and she could even have a baby. Dell says the news is great, but he's clearly not feeling it as he pours himself a drink. It was great news until Ethel told her the truth, his father had lobster hands. She thought she was the freak in the relationship, but he was a liar. She knows the truth, that he's Jimmy's father. She thought that their marriage was all that she could have, but she knows better now. Bags packed, Dell still believes that no one else would have her. Once she has her little cosmetic procedure she'll be too much woman for him to handle. Desiree leaves, she's moving in with Ethel.

At the low price of just $20.00 Dandy took home Andy, and he brings him back to the bus. Needless to say Andy is use to better accommodations, but he's a working boy, and when he moves in close to Dandy, he tells him that he's not a fruit. He paid Andy $100 just to talk then. Dandy has an idea. They turn their backs to each other and strip, and then they turn back around, whatever magic happens after that happens. With Andy's almost mirror looks to Dandy, its like an angel vs devil feel. Andy tries to compliment Dandy on his perfection, but Dandy needs silence as he sets up his act. Andy turns around, and is surprised to find Dandy donning Twisty's mask. Nasty boy probably didn't even wash it. Dandy stabs Andy, putting an end to his beautiful run. Andy doesns't die easily to Dandy's dismay. And they Dandy initiates us into Murder Club. Rule #1 of Murder Club is to make sure all of the evidence is gone. He cuts off Andy's arm and places it into a bath of acid. As he moves to his second arm, Andy is still alive, and asking for death. Dandy asks why he's still alive, its making him feel bad, but he doesn't kill him as he asks. Instead he goes back to sawing off his arm.

Gloria gets a call from Dora's daughter. She's happy at school, but she's worried about her mother. Gloria makes excuses for why Dora could not call. She's very busy, and will likely continue to be too busy to call. As a child Regina played with Dandy, and Gloria asks her what she thought of her as a mother. Uncomfortable, Regina tells her that she doesn't remember her being around a whole lot. Gloria raised Dandy as she was raised with Governesses around often. Regina feels really uncomfortable over the course of their conversation, and leaves. Dandy comes home still covered in blood, and Gloria takes in her little monster.

Dot, Bette and Elsa drive into town, only Bette notices that they aren't headed in the direction of town.

Dell goes to see Desiree's doctor. He knows how hard a miscarriage can be, and gives Dell his condolences. Dell isn't upset over the miscarriage. He asks about the Doctor's history. He moved to Florida to semi-retire, he wanted to keep busy. Dell heard that he plans to operate on Desiree to make her a bonafide female. The doctor tells him that she's always been a female. Dell gets physical, breaking the doctor's fingers. He warns the doctor that if he talks to anyone about what he's done he'll pay a visit to the doctor's family.

Elsa arrives at the Mott home, Gloria is surprised to see her. She has brought Gloria something she wanted.

The Freak Show remains quiet on Halloween, with Edward Mordrake's eerie green fog accompanies his ghost around as he questions other freaks looking for the one to add to his troupe. So far he has not found the one pure freak to add to his group. He makes them all confess their sin, telling him how they came to be a part of the show. He wants their darkest moments. The woman with no legs stabbed a man she was jealous of, though he had inspired to perform. The microcephalics, Pepper and Salty, dance around innocently, not a care in the world or even notice that Mordrake is watching them. Paul sought solace in the dark, he came during the depression though. People hated his deformity, and he hated them, wanted to make them fear him, so he tattooed his body, but not his handsome face. He could have ruled the world with a different body. None of them are the one he's looking for.

Mordrake pays Elsa a visit. He wishes to see her deformity, but she's not ready to show him it yet, she needs to talk. She thinks him the man that will launch her career, but he bursts her bubble. He calls out her delusion, calling her a waste of air. She tells him to get out, thinking him a fake, but he's very real. His freaks grab hold of her, pulling her prosthetic legs from her body, as she screams that she is not one of them. She pretends to be the zoo keeper of the freaks, but she's very much one of them.

Jimmy and Maggie run out of gas. Maggie thinks it's Jimmy's way of making a move on her, and she lashes out at him, but that's not his intention at all. With the curfew in effect, Jimmy thinks that they should get off the road and hide, but Maggie knows the intentions of men. Jimmy insists that she isn't his type, but she knows that in the dark men are less picky, and doesn't believe him that pretty faces aren't his type. He tells her that she has nothing to worry about from him, she should worry more about the townies, they only tolerate them because their freakishness makes them feel better about themselves. A car approaches, and Maggie follows Jimmy into hiding.

The bratty brother is finally awake in the bus, and he wonders if he's going to die. The picnicing girl has no intention of dying there, and she doesn't think that he will either. The little boy is asleep, weak from hunger. She tries to get the brother to untie her as Twisty returns. He opens the cage, and she makes a move. She shoulders Twisty out of the way, and runs off. The brother sits and cowers with fear as she runs away.

Jimmy and Maggie navigate the shadows trying to make it back to camp. They spot the girl running for her life, with the demented clown on her trail. The pair hides, waiting and watching as the clown takes her down, knocking her out and scoops her up to return her. Jimmy follows the clown to see if he can help the girl, and Maggie has no choice but to tag along.

Elsa rights herself, trying to seduce Mordrake, but he's beyond seduction. He wants her misery only, her pair. 1932 sexual depravity hit all corners. Whatever you wanted you can have it, and Elsa found herself in the middle of it. She was a myth, the star even there. She never let her clients touch her, unlike the other whores, she dominated them on every level. In time she attracted clients and audiences. She called the watchers, she didn't know their names, only that they paid well. In the end she was nothing, she became a ghost. But that's not the worse. Mordrake wants more.

Jimmy and Maggie watch the clown as he goes back to the bus. Jimmy cautions Maggie, wants her to stay while he gets a closer look. He peers inside, and he knows that the guy is a killer. Before he can go get the cops, Twisty's spoiled sidekick Dandy knocks out Jimmy. Now it's time for the real show.

Hotel Olympia, 1932. Elsa was the top seller, but this time was different. Drunk, she shows up, and the camera's roll. The man offers her a drink. She was all alone, for the film which was off. She was utterly powerless, but even drugged it wasn't enough to dull the pain as they bound her and cut off her legs. They left her there to die, but one of her clients had fallen in love with her. He followed her everywhere, and rushed in the minute they left. She never forgave him for it. The film was passed around everywhere. She was a star, but her career was over. She had the most beautiful legs. Mordrake's other face tells him that she is the one, and Elsa is ready for him to take her, but as she begs him to take her he hesitates. He hears music.

In the woods, the show is starting, and music sounds as Twisty plays off key. Dandy announces his act. He plans to saw Tiny Tits (Maggie) in half. Jimmy awakens as the show begins, and he knocks out Dandy to save Maggie. Twisty claps an applause, and Jimmy tells everyone to run. Twisty manages to grab only Jimmy and brings him back to his bus. As he raises his scissors over Jimmy, he stops, noticing Mordrake. Mordrake wants to see the show though.

Dandy screams at his former hostages. He wants to finish his show. Maggie points them into the direction of the road, telling them to call the police as Maggie leads Dandy away. He trips over a log. She ruined his Halloween.

Mordrake tries to get Twisty to open up, but he remains silent. He wants him to remove his mask, to tell him his story. Twisty's jaw is all but gone, he's not able to do much more than make some noise. Mordrake tells him to slow, and focus so that he can understand him. It was 1943, and he was the special Chidren's clown in a traveling carnival. He loved the children, but not the freaks, they were mean. One night, two little people invite him to join them for a smoke around the fire. It burns his throat, and the teasing goes on. One of the guys accuses him of molesting the kids, they scare him, telling him that the cops are coming for him, and the poor simpleton believes and runs off. News travels quickly in the carnival circles, and he went home, but his mother had died, so he sought solace in his bus. He had the idea that he would turn trash into gold, he tried to sell his creations to a toy store, but the toy maker refused to buy them. He tried to interest one little boy in his toy, but only scared him and his mother. The Toy maker alludes that he's one of those people who do bad things to kids, and Twisty freaks out. He's not a bad person. Depressed, he tries to commit suicide, but he's so dumb he can't even do that right, and managed to only blow off his jaw with the shotgun. That's when he had a new idea. He haunted the freak show. It's a sad tale a pitiful one, but Mordrake wants more. Twisty saved the kids from the freaks. The children forgot that they loved him, and the freaks were stealing them once more. He tells Mordrake how came up with a show for the child that he took, scare the crap out of is more like it. How things happened aren't quite how he remembers them. Is the end of out twisted clown? He was nice and didn't make the child do any chores, though he did kill his mother. He even got a pretty babysitter for him, no mention of the boyfriend he killed. He believes he's good, and Mordrake's other face renders his decision. Mordrake has met many, but only Twisty has caused the demon to weep. Mordrake drives his sword into Twisty's stomach as Jimmy watches from the bus. The dead troupe claim their newest member, welcoming him into their fold. In death his jaw is restored, he's whole, and he has a new home. Jimmy hides before the ghosts can see him.

Dandy comes back to find Twisty dead. He takes up Twisty's fallen mask, and slides into his serial killer state. Sirens sound in the distance, which aren't nearly as comforting as they should be to Jimmy.

Morning has arrived. The detectives look around the scene of Twisty's and Dandy's last act. One questions Maggie asking if she ever saw the faces of her almost killers, but she didn't, the sawer had a mask. Another detective focuses on Jimmy, asking if he recognized the voices. He didn't. The detective tells Maggie that she's a hero, she got the others back to their families safely, but she insists the real hero is Jimmy. The other detective takes a more accusatory stance, acting as if Jimmy was in on the whole thing, even threatening to take him in. Jimmy isn't taking his crap though, and tells him to write his name down so he knows how to spell it when he goes to the reporters. He alludes that the real killer is them, they killed Meep and he didn't deserve to die, someone is going to pay.

Maggie and Jimmy arrive back at the show, and Elsa gives them an icy reception, thinking they've been out lollygagging all night. Being turned down by Mordrake is rubbing her the wrong way. Jimmy announces that the curfew has been lifted. Maggie tells Elsa that they caught the killer, rather Jimmy did, and that because of him the kids were saved. She gives Jimmy a kiss before leaving him, her opinion of him has changed. Jimmy may be reconsidering his type. Elsa sees that Maggie has cast a spell on Jimmy. Elsa tells him about Mordrake visiting, Jimmy knows he saw him claim his freak. People arrive at the show, and Elsa is sure that they're getting ready to drive them away, but they aren't. One of the fathers has come to thank Jimmy, he saved his son and his town. The people embrace the freaks, and Jimmy searches out Maggie's face, unsure of the reception. Elsa uses the good fortune to tell everyone about the evening's show. Dell drunkenly stumbles from his trailer to see Jimmy surrounded by the townspeople being enbraced.

Elsa and the others ready for a big show. She has news for the embittered Dot and Bette. They have a sold out show, and she's changing around the show. Dot thinks that now that there's a sold out show they'll be warming up for her, but she's doing no such thing. They're warming up for the pinheads. They were last week's big news, and that banner has been taken down. Mansfield now Richard Spencer comes stumbling in. He'd wanted to buy a ticket,but the show is sold out. He hands Elsa his card, claiming to be a talent scout, and she makes room for him.

Dandy returns home looking more a mess than normal. Dora is still not impressed by him, and she reminds him that Halloween is over. She wants him to take a tray to his mother, who is exhausted after trying to find him a better costume. When Dandy just stands there, Dora demands that he move out of her way so that she can take the tray up herself. He slashes her throat, and Dora bleeds out on the floor as Dandy sits there laughing.

The medical community has always been fascinated by freak shows. At the morbidity museum they not only embrace the differences, but celebrate them. Dr. Sylvestor Mansfield introduces his bright new assistant Maggie Esmerelda. She looks at one specimen in pity. Dr. Mansfield believes that the the specimen was a loser in life, and at least in death they have value. One of his specimens are brought into questions, as are his medical credentials. The curator tells him that they're obviously creative people, and if they bring her some truly authentic specimens then she would happily take them. She use to get calls from actual freak shows when one of their passed, selling the bodies to her museum, but there are few freak shows left in the country. The liver of a pair of conjoined twins alone brought in $5000.00. Mansfield and Esmerelda plot to head to Florida where one of the few freak shows remain to make their fortune.

It's Halloween, and one pretty fairy princess is terrified of clowns, and with good reason. The curfew is still in full effect, even though the cops claim to have caught the killer. Jesse spots twisty and runs to her mother, but she thinks there's nothing scary about clowns. She hasn't had the pleasure of spotting Twisty.

Ethel visits her doctor, and he has bad news. She has cirosis of the liver. She hasn't touched alcohol since Jimmy was born, but the doctor says that she may have had it for a long time. Worse, she doesn't have much time left, the prognosis is six months to a year. There is little that she can do beside avoiding meat, and all alcohol. The doctor is very sorry to have had to deliver the news. Ethel sheds tears, not over her dying, but because he is the first person to treat her with respect.

The Freak show is its normal rowdy atmosphere. Jimmy returns after digging Meep's grave. He sees all the performers as children that he cannot protect. Dot yells at them for being disrespectful, and suggests that they dedicate the evening show to Meep. But Halloween is the quietest night of the year at the freak show. They never perform on Halloween because of Edward Mordrake.

He was a handsome man, could have been a duke or something if things had been different, but Edward had an ugly, evil face on the back of his head. The face would whisper things to him, things only he could hear. Edward tried in vein to kill the other face, but it would not die. His family eventually committed him, but that left him alone, confined with only the face whispering to him. He tried to write poetry, anything to keep his mind off the whispers beckoning him to do bad things, but it didn't help. Eventually he slaughtered his guard, and ran off to the Freak Show. They billed him as the two faced prince. He would delight the crowds with his graceful piano skills and then he would take a bow and reveal his other face. There was no one like Edward, and he wasn't happy. One Halloween Edward snapped and murdered every freak in the troupe, and then he hung himself. In his death the second face was still smiling. They don't perform out of respect, but fear. Those who perform summon the spirit of Edward Mordrake, and he doesn't leave until he takes a victim with him.

Jimmy is upset over Ethel's story, scaring everyone, but she has experienced his presence at another show where they were made to perform on Halloween. The human cannon ball died a horrific death and his face had an eerie smile just like the second face of Mordrake. Jimmy confronts Ethel about her drinking. She'd sworn off the stuff for so long, and her sudden drinking has him worried. He wonders if its because of Dell, and its not. She's glad that there is a man around, so that Jimmy is now free to leave like he's been asking to do.

At Casa de Crazy, aka the Mott residence, Gloria prepares for a glorious Halloween. Everything is set in place for her psycho brat Dandy. The poor house keeper, Dora, is forced to dress as Woody Woodpecker. Dandy can't wait to go out trick or treating to terrorize the neighborhood, but his mother reminds him that he can't with the curfew still in effect. Gloria has Dora bring out Dandy's costume, but he throws an epic tantrum when he sees that its Howdy Doodie. She rushes out to find him something else. Gloria may be doting, but Dora isn't putting up with his crap, and leave him amiss the mess that he's made. He takes his costume, and refashions it into a clowns.

The freaks gather to put Meep to rest. Halloween was always his favorite holiday. It was the one day that he felt like he could be one of the normal kids. But he wasn't like them, he was better. They pass around a bag, everyone taking an item out of it, they're chicken heads inside. They throw the heads in and pour alcohol on his grave to help send him off, and lay him to rest.

A yellow cab pulls up to the freak show. Jimmy heads out to send it away, the show is closed. But the newly blonde and no longer mousy Esmerelda tells him that she's there for a job. Again he tries to sends her away, thinking she doesn't belong, but she won't be deterred. She's come a long way, and she's a fortune teller.

Bette and Dot sit on an operating table. Bette cries that she never agreed to this, but Dot tells her that she's the one with the talent, and now a man wants to marry her. Bette thinks that he'd only love her because she was different, but Dot is willing to take the chance to be rid of her sister. Bette wakes Dot from her dream. She experienced it too, but it was a nightmare to her. She asks Dot if she'd miss her, because Bette would miss Dot when she was gone. Sometimes Bette wonders who Dot is especially since they've come to the show. Dot is a determined person. She plans to save her money and find a doctor who can perform the surgery to separate them. One of them will die, but one of them will have a chance at happiness.

Jimmy goes to Elsa about the fortuneteller. She's not a gypsy he says, but Elsa is the one that will determine her gift. Esmerelda is brought in to perform, she claims that she didn't chose it, the gift chose her. As Esmerelda prepares her reading she takes a quick look around for clues. Esmerelda tells her that she can only do the reading if she's receptive. Esmerelda talks about misdeeds, and greed ruining her past. Someone stole her spotlight in the past, and Elsa perks up. Esmerelda feeds her more information. Elsa can become the star of her dreams once more, a man with piercing eyes can help her become a star. Esmerelda falls to the ground, spent after her reading, and Elsa hires her.

Dell pumps some weights, as his wife Desiree prances around in a new costume. He doesn't want to take part in the alcohol consumption, needing to stay focused. Desiree rubs up on him, and at first he's receptive, but things soon get limp. Desiree is tired of it, and Dell doesn't take her rejection well. She should be grateful for all that he's done for her, but she warns him not to put his hands on her, or she'll leave forever.

Dell has a run in with Ethel outside. Ethel saw the three breasted Desiree run out. Dell barks over Desiree, but Ethel tells him to calm down, and have a drink with her. She needs to talk to him anyways. She asks what the fight was about, but he doesn't want to talk about. She asks what their problem was. He says the beard for starters, but they were together long before she had Jimmy. He starts out harsh, that men will jump on anything, and then gets a little softer. He could have been a better father. She reminds him that he can never let Jimmy know that he's Jimmy's father. They once thought about having a cookie cutter life, but Ethel knows that they would have never lasted. She's dying, and she wants Dell to look after Jimmy, help him make something of his life. Dell had been wondering what his life had been like if he had stuck around to watch Jimmy grow up. He asks what Jimmy like to dress up like as a kid. He always wanted to be the same thing, a soldier.

The tiny lady pops out of a pumpkin scaring the amazon. It's Halloween night at the freak show. Someone walks down the stairs, humming. He looks at knives, its Dandy in his clown costume, and there's about to be another killer clown on the loose in Florida. He raises the knife at Dora who is busy dusting, but she doesn't think is threat is real. She knows all about the dead animals, she even told hia mother about them. She raised him and she isn't afraid of him. She asks if he killed the people, but knows that he didn't. He wants so badly to be a serial killer, but isn't quite there yet. Dandy unmasks and raises the blade at Dora. He hates her, and she hates him too, but he doesn't strike her.

Esmerelda calls Mansfield, and she's gotta cut out. She can't deal with all the freaks. They wig her out. She tells Mansfield about the twins that she ran into. They were upset that she was back behind the tents with Jimmy as he brought her to her new digs. She tried for friendly, offering them a reading, but Dot was less than pleased seeing her. Mansfield's eyes light up with dollar signs at the mention of the twins. Jimmy sits outside of the phone booth listening. Mansfield plots the murder of the twins, and just how he plans to store the body. He'll meet up with her after he handles his business, which happens to be a demon horned beefcake. A cop comes to give Jimmy some trouble. There's a curfew, and he's out after dark, but they still have a few minutes before the curfew goes into effect. Esmerelda puts her pretty looks to good use, telling him that she was just calling her grandmother, and promising to hurry home. The cop gives her some advice, to stop hanging around with trouble makers. Esmerelda diffuses the situation, and off the pair ride.

Mansfield taunts his viking God. He's missing a sword he tells the stud. He orders him to take off his pants, and Thor may have signed on for more than he can handle.

Little Jesse's mother and her friend have some drinks after curfew and a long day of trick or treating. They don't notice that they aren't alone. Jesse's brother Mike continues to be a jerk. He's willing to let her have some of his candy if she calls him master and to do all of his chores for a week. Twisty has the girl's back though. Mike screams, and his mother and her friend rush in, but its too late. Twisty took the punk brother.

Dot continues to berate Bette. The amazon doesn't think even rehearsing is a good idea, worried that they'll summon Mordrake's ghost. Elsa arrives in full costume. She tells them to get off the stage. The fortuneteller told her that a man would soon arrive to reignite her career, but the twins have let their good fortune go to their heads. They want to renegotiate their salaries, since they are now the headliner. Elsa warns them against getting ahead of themselves, reminding them that she can dump them back in the swamp that she found them in. Elsa performs Lana del Rey's Gods & Monsters as a man walks out of the green fog. Elsa thinks its the man that Esmerelda spoke of, but it isn't. Its Mordrake that she's crooning to, and he's transfixed by the image onstage. Elsa takes a bow, but her mystery man has disappeared.

The evening is quiet at the freak show. Ethel prepares for sleep, but is spooked by Mordrake. He's not really there. She sees another ghost. It's a large woman stabbed through the heart. The eerie green fog rolls around. Mordrake introduces himself. She tells him that she didn't summon him. It doesn't matter who summoned him, only that they were summoned. He will stay until they have a new companion. Ethel doesn't want to go yet, she has so much to do. Mordrake argues with his worse half. It isn't up to him who lives or who dies, but up to that evil little face. Ethel goes to face Mordrake. He questions her. She was not always in her current state. It's true. She once had a real act. She surrounded herself with the prettiest girls, and then dare the crowd to look at anyone except her. The crowd loved her, and she loved Dell. He became her manager, and he convinced her to leave her big act. He billed her separately, and without the laughs. No one enjoyed it. Mordrake feels sorry for her, but he digs deeper. He wants her deeper pain. She delves deeper. They were penniless, and she was pregnant. She couldn't find work in her condition, so Dell arranged a different kind of performance, a live freak birth. People gathered around her in a field. She gave birth next to a tree. The baby was born with lobster hands, and Dell tried to sell the option to even hold a freak baby. Poor Jimmy was exploited right from the start. Mordrake rises, offering her his handkerchief. The other ghost freaks surround her, and Ethel is ready to join them. She thinks that she deserves it, but she is not the one.

The girl and young boy still sit on the bus. Dressed in his new clown costume, Dandy comes in and tries to mimick Twisty. He offers them a trick or treat, and when they go to the offered candy, Dandy stabs at them, but his knife isn't long enough. He finds a stick, to make the blade longer, but before he can use his new weapon he hears Twisty approach. He rushes out to meet his demented friend, who carries his latest prize. Dandy lights up at the opportunity for more fun.
