True Blood Recap S07E02: I Found You

Eric goes to a hotel, and someone watches him as he faces the window, unbuttoning his shirt. Eric is surprised that he found him. It’s Jason. Eric tells him that he needed space to think. He’s still thinking. Jason can’t stop thinking, but Eric didn’t need to get away from him. He knew Eric would play the whole lone rider island thing. Eric makes his drink, shaking it. He asks about Violet, as Jason drinks the drink down. He’s crazy about Violet, but he can’t get Eric out of his head. The push, his words. It’s not the first time Eric has heard them. He’s been a sexy beast for a long time, and people desiring him is nothing new. Eric pushes him down onto the chair and walks away, but Jason isn’t taking that. He leaps at the Viking, stripping away his own shirt. He pushes him down onto his stomach, taking control. The pair kiss in one of the steamiest scenes in True Blood history, and just as Eric kisses his way down Jason’s body, and things set to get really interesting, Jason awakens in the church. Now that is how a vampire sex dream should be.

Cue the Intro music! And cold showers for everyone.

Jason tries to shake the dream off. Sookie continues to hear the negative thoughts swirling about her. Andy wonders how to narrow the search, but Sookie does. Sookie stumbled over a dead body that she didn’t recognize. She thinks that if they ID the dead girl they can find out where she came from, and maybe who the H Vamps are. They’re stretched thin, and the Feds are not being much help, so it’s the only plan. The reverend knows what the people will do to survive the evening, but he turns to Sam to see how they can survive the day. Sam isn’t so sure, but he rally’s the people to pitch in, to put Bellfleur’s back together for Arlene when she gets back. As long as they’re inside by sundown they should be safe. Lettie Mae plans to pay Lafayette a visit since he wasn’t at church the night before, and she’s worried that he’s gone to a dark place.

Adilyn wants to go with Andy, but he thinks its too dangerous, so she asks if she can stick with Rocky and Wade, it being their time of need and all. Andy is hesitant, but he lets her go, with the promise she will be inside before nightfall, and she will not let Jessica in.

The HVamps are in a bit of a pickle. The one who killed Kevin got a little out of hand. They thought that their rations would last longer, but his hunger cut it down. They make a new game plan so that the food can last longer, and they can go out and get more. They send the teacher down to retrieve the food. Nicole’s labor progresses. Betty chooses a blonde, and Arlene recognizes the woman as the teacher of her and Holly’s kids, she thinks that she can use that connection in the future. Arlene knows that she has had some bad luck, but that luck is about to change. She has survived too much to die now in a dingy vampire bar, but Holly doesn’t look so assured.

Sookie points out the location of the body. Jason finds that the animals have gotten to the body already, but her wallet is on her. The woman is only from two towns over, from Saint Alice. Sam reached out to that Mayor, but he never got back to him. Andy tries to call the Sheriff, but no luck. It’s road trip time.

Lafayette is none too pleased to find Lettie Mae banging on his door. She’s come to see how he’s holding up, and he’s holding up fine. Lettie Mae puts on a brave front. She lost Tara long ago, but last night she made peace with Tara finally, but then she was taken away. She wants more though. Lafayette wishes she could, but she can’t. Lafayette refuses to channel Tara for her, he won’t do it again. She doesn’t want that, she asks Lafayette for some V. When she was high she could see Tara. Lafayette tells her it was the V, but she doesn’t believe him. She’s an addict through and through, and using the thought of her dead daughter for a chance to get high.

Adilyn and the others clean up Bellefleur’s. Vince cannot believe that they’re sweeping up like Sam Merlotte told them to. He tells them that he saw Sam drove off, leaving them unprotected. Maxine Fortenberry finds a bunch of bodies in the fridge. They aren’t sure if the vampires eat fresh or if frozen will work. Vince tells the people that Sam is a shapeshifter, and the people fall into a mob mentality. Maxine remembers a time when she saw a bear digging in her trash, and when she turned around again it was a naked Sam. Vince convinces them to start making stakes, to protect themselves against the vampires, all vampires. Adilyn overhears Rosie think where some guns are held, and she takes Wade out to safe guard them as the people make their stakes before things get worse.

Betty comes back down, and Jane gets Arlene’s and Holly’s attention. Betty tells them that she cannot show mercy. Arlene points out that she’s going to die anyways. Betty knows that, but even still she wouldn’t know how to save them anyways. Arlene didn’t mean it that way. She and Holly go on about what a great teacher she was, and she admits that she’s so scared. Betty falls into Arlene’s arms and she comforts them. Betty looks at the held women, and tells them that she cannot help them. Arlene pleads about her legacy, begs that she help them get out. Betty vows to figure something out.  Betty takes her male morsel up to feed the animals.

The car ride is silent as they find an empty Saint Alice. Sookie, Sam, Alcide, Jason, and Andy get out of their vehicles. The town is utterly deserted. Buildings are boarded, spray paint is everywhere asking for help from FEMA or anything. Sookie calls out when she finds a giant hole full of bodies. There’s no one left, all are either killed or taken.

Adilyn tells Kenya that she heard Rosie say that she was going to take the guns from the supply room. Kenya is hesitant, but Adilyn makes her case that the mob is coming, and there is only one place left with guns. Kenya springs into action, but it may be too late, as the mob pours in. They think its their right to bear arms, that if they were more would be alive. Kenya knows that more would be dead if they had been. One of the mobees points out the misdeeds of the sheriff department and their wrong doings against Kenya herself, and she plans to hand over the weapons. Kenya goes to handcuff Adilyn, and Adilyn’s microwave fingers shoot on their own accord. Jessica awakens as Adilyn is put into danger. She’s stuck up in the attic. She calls the station but gets no answer. Adilyn and Wade are handcuffed and taken to a cell. Jessica even tries to call Sookie, but Sookie’s phone is somewhere in the woods. There’s all sorts of mayhem at the sheriff office as the mob plays with their new guns.

The group goes to the woman’s house, but finds it empty. They were taken in the middle of a pizza dinner. Jason takes a bite of the pizza, and determines when the family was taken with his pizza forensic skills. The HVamps hit a town and stay until its dried up. They group split up and see what they can find. Andy plans to make an honest woman of Holly when he gets her back. A man is nothing without a family, and he plans to rectify that. The revelation hits Jason. Upstairs Sookie finds a diary, and she’s hesitant to read it, but Alcide encourages her reading. Reading it, it sounds a lot like Sookie’s diary as she reads about a vampire named Henry. Sookie remembers when she asked Bill to take her to Fangtasia for the first time, and tries to make him believe that it wasn’t a date as she runs upstairs puts on pretty red lingerie, and an adorable dress. She gets all mushy thinking of Bill as the girl declares that she is Henry’s. Fast forward, everyone is dead or disappeared when the H Vamps attacked after a wedding. It gets worse as the girl slips into hopelessness.

Lettie Mae burns herself, it’s not too bad, but she plans to make it worse. She burns her palm really good, and goes down to Willa. She has a hard time awakening Willa, and Willa goes on the attack. Willa feels horrible, and Lettie Mae shows her the burned up hand. Willa thinks that she should go to the hospital, but  Lettie Mae isn’t sure that a doctor could help. Lettie Mae was hoping that Willa would heal her with her blood. Willa isn’t sure that’s the best idea since the Reverend specifically ask that she not, but Lettie Mae complains of her pain, and Willa is quick to help by opening her wrist. Lettie Mae falls into her V trip, and she sees Tara in a jungle. Dressed in white Tara is up on a cross with a yellow python wrapped around her. Tara speaks to her in tongues, rapidly repeating her words, pleading, but Lettie Mae can’t understand her as she begs for answers. Willa gets to only experience one side of the V trip.

As Alcide drives Sookie back, he tries to assure her that she isn’t like the girl in the diary, that they won’t have the same fate.  She fell in love hard and fast like any other girl for the first time. It isn’t her fault that there are vampires in Bon temps, or that the HVamps are eating the town. As happy as Sookie is to hear him say that, the fact still remains that the HVamps are eating her town. Alcide tells her that they can run, save themselves, but Sookie won’t go.

Betty asks to be the time monitor. She knows that they’re all waiting for her to die, that she’s the weakest one, and she fears that Ronnie won’t continue to wake her. Ronnie is willing to give up the position, and Betty takes up the timer. 15 minutes are set, as the rest snooze. Down in the basement the girls await their fate. They have 12 minutes to get out. Betty needs to feed before they start the getaway, and Arlene offers herself up. Betty takes blood from Arlene’s femoral artery, but its too late, she succumbs to the Hep V virus.

Andy comes home to an empty house, and Jessica has no choice but to give up her hiding spot. Jessica calls out to him, and Andy assumes that Jessica killed her too. Jessica makes him see that Adilyn is not there, but she is in trouble. She tells in that once the sun sets that she will find her, and she asks if he will be by her side.

Alcide and Sookie make it home. He’s exhausted, but before he can fall into bed she sends him off into the shower. Incased in the running water, and shower’s warmth, Sookie makes a run for it, sneaking out of the house. She passes through the graveyard, and straight to Bill’s. He’s surprised to see her. She asks him if she was scared, if she was in trouble, if he could still sense her. Oh, danger whore what sort of madness are you planning?

Pam cannot believe where she’s found Eric, but she has found him, and he’s refusing blood. He looks at his only child, and her heart breaks. Eric is infected.

Break my little heart, they are messing up this final season with that little revelation! I believe that's strike two against our wishlist.

The Following S2E3 - "Trust Me" Recap

Judy returns home to find Joe and Mandy with the Reverend's body. Ryan is being haunted by dreams of Joe.

Ryan is brought in by the FBI and they discuss the case further. They confront him about visiting Carlos' apartment and he is forced to admit it since his prints were found all over it. He stubbornly believes that he must work alone instead of formally aligning himself with the FBI. They warn him that they have a search warrant and that they can search his belongings but Ryan doesn't seem bothered by it. After he leaves, they decide to also monitor his online activity.

One of the twins' curiosity is piqued regarding Emma. She won't stop calling and he tells Carlos to call her back and set up a meeting. She wants to know whether Joe is still alive and is hurt by the notion that he would have kept such a secret from her. She agrees to meet Carlos alone at a secret location.

Ryan visits Lily and she makes no effort to hide the fact that she is smitten, while Ryan is still obviously wracked with guilt for what he sees as a failure to keep her safe.

Joe informs Judy that he is going to leave soon and Mandy is emotionally devastated by this news. Judy believed that she could change him and had even stated so in the letters she wrote to him while he was in prison.

Mike breaks into Ryan's apartment and is furious when he finds the wall of all the investigating he has done regarding Joe and his cult. Ryan says that he found an illegitimate love-child fathered by Joe's father and how he went missing fourteen months ago. Additionally, the DNA sample could have been tampered with, as the facility was also broken into fourteen months ago. He doesn't say that he believes for certain that Joe is alive, but it is a possibility. Mike is skeptical of this, since the evidence is not hard enough for his liking. He gets a call from Mendez and heads off, taking Carlos' bag with him that Ryan had in his property. He promises to keep this personal investigation secret since Mendez would have him locked up and he would be made to look crazy.

Emma goes to the abandoned warehouse and Mark meets her there. Emma has been spotted on surveillance footage being monitored by the FBI. They set off to bring her in.

Mandy speaks with Joe, saying that she does not want him to leave and sees him as a father figure since she never knew hers. Judy sends her inside to "speak" with Joe before pulling a gun on him. She fires but the gun is empty - Joe had removed the bullets. Joe begins to strangle Judy but when Mandy runs out, begging him to stop, he releases her.

Mark answers all of Emma's questions. Carlos claims to have seen Joe and they all believe he is alive. The massacres were all part of a plan to draw Joe out of hiding. With his narcissistic personality, they figure he will want to return to his legion of followers. Mark offers Emma the opportunity to come with him and meet the other followers, and is elated when she agrees to.

A swat team invades the house in which Emma was staying. However, she is not there, as she is off with Mark. In the house are other followers of Joe and they are killed during the raid. Ryan is told to back off and to leave Lily alone but ignores that snippet and visits her again. She invites him back for dinner and he agrees.

When Mark brings Emma back, the other followers are skeptical about her. However, news has just broken about the raid and the death of the other followers she was staying with.

Turns out Joe has decided to kill Judy anyway and has her tied up with duct tape. When Joe leaves the room in search of his knife, Judy tells Mandy where the knife is and pleads with her to set her free. Joe comes back in the room and tells her to put the knife down and she replies that she doesn't want to die. Just when you think she's going to make an attempt on Joe's life, she turns around and stabs her mother. It's a potent scene, as she says she's sorry but can't let Joe go. Joe is shocked when she first stabs her, but then smiles, looking like a proud father at a dance recital. Mandy says that either way she is dead - that staying and living there would be death.

When the group asks why they should trust Emma, she states that Joe valued and trusted her with his son while Carlos was nothing more than an errand boy. Luke then points out that Mark likes Emma and no one likes Carlos - before stabbing him. But we all knew this was coming - Carlos is no more.

Following a hunch, Ryan asks Mike to show him security footage from the train killings. When he notices that she deliberately took the local despite claiming that she was in a rush that day, he realises that her story was a lie. When Joe stares her down, she realises that she is caught. She runs off and stabs an agent in the process. Ryan and Mike chase after her but are unable to catch her. Though Ryan follows after her, he loses her in the crowd. She even calls him off a stolen mobile to ask how he figured it out, to creepily gloat, and say goodbye - for now. He spots her one last time but is unable to find her and she is picked up by Luke - her son. This show loves a good twist!

Mandy helps Joe to set fire to her home, and the bodies inside, and she thanks him for taking her with him. She thanks him for taking her with him and promises not to disappoint him. He says he's more worried about disappoint her and she assures him he won't. It's a touching moment, in a slightly disturbing way. They have a surrogate father/daughter relationship and they do care for each other. Mandy is also excited about being able to see the city since she never thought she'd get to leave the small town in which she was born and raised.

Ryan and Mendez are both upset about being fooled by Lily. Mendez still wants Ryan to come back to help and he still wants to work at it alone. This incident is fuel to the fire of Ryan's guilt. He sees his failures as the cause for the death of innocents.

Joe sets fire to the home and he and Mandy watch it burn before heading out on the road.

The Following airs on Mondays on FOX at 9/8c.

The Following S2E2 - "Resurrection" Recap

Not only is Joe Carroll alive, he has been living under the alias of Darryl, a simple hick. He is living with a woman named Judy whom he is in a relationship with and her daughter Mandy. Judy seems to be fully aware of who he really is, while Mandy remains none the wiser. It's unclear as to whether or not Joe has any genuine interest in her or if she is merely a means to and end. Judy appears concerned that Joe is going to go out and start making trouble again, especially after he stayed up the previous night watching news stories about the new string of murders.

Meanwhile, the FBI are hard at work trying to figure out the meaning of the posed corpse. They could seriously benefit from Ryan's help but he has yet to agree to fully re-join their forces. For now, he is content to working on his own.

Ryan visits Lily Gray, the survivor from the subway attacks. He wants to know what the reason for her survival is. Considering the efficiency with which the cult has murdered people, he doesn't seem convinced that she was merely lucky. She says she has never met Joe Carroll and answers his questions, despite knowing that he is not a part of the formal investigation.

Carlos is alarmed by his face being plastered all over the news. He is waiting for a message from Joe. It looks as though the twins and Giselle plan to kill him after he serves his purpose. The twins break in to a residential home and murder the parents of the household. They pose the bodies and much like what they did with the body from the previous episode, they put on an act of them still being alive. They have dinner with the couple and chat with them as if they are their own parents.

To the outside community, Joe is pretending to be Judy's brother, a soldier recently returned from overseas. She is the local "lady of the night" and one of her frequent clients is the reverend. He has been staying under the radar, but a storm is brewing inside of him as he notices the reverend repeatedly eyeballing Mandy, who is still just a teenager. When Judy leaves, we see that Mandy has been helping Joe technologically, so he can communicate with his followers. She knows that he is responsible for all those deaths, but doesn't seem bothered by it. Given her rough upbringing, and the fact that Joe has been nothing but kind to her, she wants him to stay in their family. We also learn that Judy was one of Joe's groupies, and wrote letters to him while he was in prison.

When the twins finish playing house, they call Ryan knowing that he will trace the call. Max, Ryan's niece, wants him to go in with back-up but he wants her to delay doing so so he can meet with them alone first. He calls her while at the house and she stays on the line as he heads upstairs to meet the twins. Upon getting up there, he is called again by one of the psycho twins, and sees that they're across the street in another house. He has Max call for back-up and discovers both the dead parents and the little boy who is thankfully still alive.

The FBI are angry that Ryan is acting of his own accord and want to know what he's hiding. They tell him not to interfere, but Mike mostly seems concerned. After Ryan leaves the crime scene, Luke calls him yet again and over the course of the conversation, Luke reveals that they know about his interest in Lily. He tells Ryan to hurry and save her before he makes his move.

Joe and Mandy are visited by the Reverend, who prepares to wait for Judy. But when a news story flashes Joe's face on the screen, he realises that Judy's "brother" is actually Joe. He attempts to leave, but Joe smashes his car window, and Mandy knocks him out with a shovel. Mandy doesn't want Joe to kill the Reverend and he appears to truly weigh his options.

Ryan gets to the party and spots Luke while he's talking to him on the phone. He alerts the FBI agents in attendance of the threat. The problem is that Ryan still doesn't know that he's dealing with a set of twins so the agent attempting to escort Lily to safety ends up being stabbed. Ryan is shocked when he finds that his opponent is a duo and manages to get a shot into Luke before they both escape.

Mike appears to have reached his limit with Ryan. He is angry that Ryan didn't call the police when going after Luke and isn't even appeased when Ryan gives him the scoop that "Luke" is actually a set of twins. He tells Ryan to give the information to Mendez and storms off. Lily tries to thank Ryan for saving her life but Ryan is not happy. He feels like he has failed but she points out that David, her stabbed security escort, has been taken to the hospital and might survive the attack.

Emma uses an old system to find Carlos' number and calls him up. He accidentally reveals Joe's still being alive, not realising that she didn't already know, but Giselle hangs up on her before any more can be said.

Joe laments his predicament. He wanted to be a better man and start over. But now with the reverend's discovery of his true identity, Joe has no choice. He kills the reverend and proceeds to comfort an understandably shaken Mandy, who informs him that Judy will be home soon and "is going to be mad."

The Following airs on Mondays on Fox on 9/8c.

True Blood Recap: The Sun

We open with a misty bridge, as Sookie dreams the fairy contract lights up. A figure comes out of the mist, a vampire...Warlow?

"Warlow" stops the speeding vehicle Jason is struggling to control. As Jason gets out of the car, pulling a gun on Warlow, only it isn't Warlow. It's his grandfather, and he has the knowledge to back up the claim, someone has been quite the peeping tom, err, concerned family member. It was all a test, which Jason clearly did not pass, with his loose lips. Jason tells him he's ready, but grandpa isn't so sure.

Pam tries to comfort Tara, but she isn't healing from her gunshot wound. Eric and Nora arrive, and Eric tries to remove the bullet but is unable to touch it. Using a broken bottle he's able to remove the silver bullet that emits UV light. Nora sits in shock that the humans are fighting back. Pam tries to talk some sense into everyone, of course the humans are fighting back, the Authority didn't give them any choice when they got rid of their only human accepted food source and that maybe they should be scared. She lashes out at Nora, but Eric has had enough, if the humans want war, he's willing to give it to them. Crazy, sexy, authoritive Eric. He tells Nora to scour the vampire bible for what Bill is, and walks out.

Jessica goes to a freaked out Bill, who's a blood mess, literally. He's feeling the pain of all the vampires being tortured and killed. He mentions a few of the ones he sees, including one being drug behind a truck before slips into a wide-eyed coma. He's walking in a field with the three aspects of Lillith, who are desperately in need of a bath and some landscaping. She, who's quite fetching all cleaned up, tells him that he can no longer be Bill Compton.

Arlene calls Sookie, waking her, because Merlotte's is overrun with customers, and you know she's still a waitress there, even though she is never there. Sookie promises to hurry. As Arlene frets with Terry, Patrick's pregnant wife walks in. She thinks Patrick ran off with some girl. Terry has a hard time putting into words what happened, and Arlene steps in, confirming her worst fears, which are much easier that explaining an Ifrit. She offers his wife what comfort she can.

Sookie walks to work, and tries to walk past the hot guy laying on the side of the road, but she can't. She "overhears" him say that the vampire smelled his blood, and she decides to take the half-fairy home. Because let's face it, she needs a new hot guy in her life since that spot is now sadly vacant. Sookie asks how he got away from his attacker. His microwave fingers saved him,  and he tries to compliment her, or is just really bad with the pick up lines before he passes out. Looks like Sookie isn't making it into work today.

Arlene seats a table, who aren't what they seem, while Lafayette plays dress up with Emma. One of the girls talks with Sam, she knows that Sam is a shifter and she wants him to come out to the world. Nicole is apart of the US Vampire unity society. She wants everyone to come out publically to take some of the heat off the vampires, because if they all came out together, then they can't kill everyone. As nice a thought as it is, Sam isn't willing to play. He's not feeling all too charitable cconsidering his girlfriend just died saving her daughter from the vampires. Nicole presses, and Sam lets her walk out, her requests falling on deaf ears.

Jessica paces as Bill stays in Lala land with Lillith. There is much work to do, Lillith insists. He asks if he is a god, but Lillith tells him there is only one  God, and he isn't it. Come on Bill focus, this isn't all about you! Jessica has a little visitor, some sort of blood prostitute. But the blood whore is a little wary of Bill's current state of comatose. She refuses, and tries to leave, but something brings her back to him in a exorcist contortionist way. Her blood floats out of her mouth and into Bill's, much to the horror of Jessica.

Sookie tends to her hot half-fairy patient. When she touches him, light transfers to him, and he awakens. She tells him it wasn't long ago she wanted to be rid of her light, she's sick of being different. He tries to offer her comfort, believeing her to be a good person. Because bad people never pick up strangers from the roadside, right? He thanks her for her hospitality, and tries to leave. Ben, we finally learn hot fairy guy's name,  takes his leave, and Sookie seems reluctant to have him leave. She tells him of a safe place for fairies, and no its not in her bed, its the fairy club.

Andy tries to reach Maurella in the field, at said fairy club, but she isn't answering. He knows nothing of babies, or fairies.

Jason brings his grandfather to Sookie's house to show him where Warlow was all misty as he tried to break in. In the bathroom grandpa jumps into the portal, and Jason, sweet simple Jason, tries to follow, but cannot. Grandpa comes back wet with ill tidings.

Sookie walks with Ben. He'd come to Bon Temps looking for something good. Ben asks if he can take Sookie out some time to repay her kindness. She tells him she's not ready for something romantical, and he overhears her thoughts about Bill. Not Eric, but Bill. When will the Bill lovefest end? When he asks about him, Sookie turns skittish and leaves him to find the club alone.

Nora reads from her vamppire bible, looking for answers. Pam is less than chipper, as she collects her blood. She asks after Eric, but Nora doesn't know where he is. Nora tells Pam to tell Eric she stepped out when he returns, she discovered that humans lead Lillith to her death, but Pam claims to want nothing to do with Eric, that she's backing off like he told her to. Nora tells Pam that Eric didn't tell her about her to protect her. That he loves her and was most proud of her, that he spoke to Nora often of her.

Eric watches the Governor's house looking for a way in. Wila, his daughter wants to get out, but daddy is firmly against it. She instead gets his next appointment, which happens to be Eric in disguise. Eric and the Governor talk around in circles about vampires and whooping cranes, until Eric gets right down to business. Eric tries to glamour the Governor, but with special contacts the Governor remains unglamoured, and Eric is taken to "camp."

Jason introduces Sookie to their fairy grandpa Niall. They sit down for a spaghetti dinner as Jason babbles on and on comparing Niall to Boba Fett, until Niall reveals that Warlow is already here somewhere. Warlow is obsessed with their pure bloodline, they're fairy royalty. Niall has been tracking Warlow for centuries, after he killed their familly. They have a secret weapon, their microwave fingers can go supernova, but because Sookie is only half fae, once she does it she will lose her light, and be just human. Sookie worries since her light has been on the fritz, but Niall shows her how to get it back in balance.

The governor's guards lead Eric outside, and he toys with them, before taking flight. Apparently they don't know everything about vampires, because none of them knew vampires could fly.

Sam comes home to a sleeping Emma. Lafayette asks what type of trouble he's in, but he doesn't want to talk about it. Alcide, Danielle and Martha come. Martha worries about Emma, but Sam won't turn her over. Luna wanted him to keep her, and he intends to. Alcide wants to take custody of Emma, since she's a wolf, and Luna's on camera action puts them all in danger, but Sam still refuses. Emma comes out at the commotion, and Martha scoops her up. Danielle shows just how mouthy of a bitch she is, and Alcide manhandles Sam. Danielle takes out Lafayette as Nicole and the other members of the the US Vampire unity society watch and take pictures of the altercation. I really hope that Lafayette picks himself off the ground, remembers he's a brujo and kicks the crap out of Danielle.

Eric comes Wila, and she willingly invites him through her window. I'm not sure anyone could have turned him down, not when he's all floaty.

Jessica prays over Bill, unsure if he is now god or something else. She prays for Jason, and Sookie, even though she may have tried to stake him. She even prays for Eric, and Pam to give her the courage to let happiness in, Tara to find what she's looking for, Sam and Lafayette, and Arlene because they're good people, and even Hoyt whereever he is, because a part of her still loves him. And Bless Bill, and bring him back because she needs him, because they need each other.

Lillith tells Bill to save them all, and he comes back to himself, alone. The TV comes on, WATV shows some of the horrors happening to vampires. Jessica and Bill watch as a vampire is being dragged by a truck, just as Bill had told her about. He can see the future. And he sees all the vampires we love burning, including his precious Jessica.

True Blood recap: In The Beginning

Roman’s guts are all over the table. Ding dong, the Guardian really is dead. Russell is still on the loose as all the vampires are trying to figure out everything out. Why did his iStake not work everyone is wondering? While I’m a little more concerned over Russell’s handling of Eric. UV lights are toasting everyone, and Nora continues her crazy rantings even in the light. A g-man hit squad comes to the rescue, and thank goodness Eric although hanging from a column is fine.

Jason worries over the fairies handling of Sookie. They’re testing her microwave hands, and there seems to be a little too much light in one place for Claude’s liking. He has her woken up, her luminescence is depleted.  If she’s not careful she can lose all of her powers, possibly even become human, but there is also still much she could learn and do.

Andy has to go over the crime scene with his deputy. He’s getting the third degree, while Sam is sniffing out some evidence. Sam sniffs out the Obama masks, and Kenya ponders if there’s something she’s missing.

Hoyt talks with his Obama wearing mask friends, who happen to be the guys from his road crew. They’re trying to recruit him to their cause. Poor Hoyt is looking for some place to fit in, even in this little Hate group. Jim Bob gets a call from the Dragon, and takes it in private. Hoyt talks to his little friends about Jessica, and they try to convince him that Jessica spelled him into loving her, and he tells them that he hates Jessica, and they proclaim their hate for her too. Jim Bob comes back with the news of Junior’s death.

Bill tells Eric that they delivered Roman’s killer to him. Eric tells him that Nora knew what was coming, and ponder whether or not Russell was actually silvered. They ask Molly if she’s a sanguinista, but she definitely is not, as she works to see what happened with the iStake. Bill and Eric get called to Salome’s quarters.  Bill and Eric are less than pleased to see Nora there, and even more displeased to see to see Russell. Russell has turned over a new leaf, and he would like to let bygones be bygones. Eric is still skeptical.  Nora tried to save him in good faith, but he doesn’t want to hear her words. Salome is the one that dug up Russell, being there when the boys put Russell underground, she tries to play grieving widow and rebel leader in equal parts. Salome was behind the entire coup, she asks them to join her, and Eric eloquently tells her “Never, you bible banging cunts.” Salome continues to be generous, and the boys walk away for now.

Alcide trains with Rikki and things turn a little steamy. She turns the tables on him, and he still manages to pin her. Alcide refuses to deal in V, and he’s prepared to lose to JD, but he won’t go down the V hole. Training seems pointless, and kissing ensues. Martha breaks up the little kissing session. She doesn’t want to believe that JD is on V, but Alcide refuses to back down.

Arlene watches hers and Terry’s wedding tape. Her friends share their well wishes over their happy day, and many of them were in much happier times, Hoyt and Jessica, Lafayette and Jesus. Holly comforts her as she breaks down into tears over all that she’s lost, thinking that Terry is crazy. As she tells Holly about the Ifrit, Holly lends some light to the situation. And after all the crap that they’ve seen, you’d think that she’d be a little more open minded.

Jason serves Sookie breakfast in bed, even though its lunch time, since he doesn’t know how to make anything but breakfast. But atleast he put in the effort. He tells her that she’s not to blame for her parent’s death, even though it was her blood that drew the vampire to their parent’s car. Jason always blamed himself, and she never once treated him like it was his fault. And even though they now know the truth, he won’t blame her. And yes, she lets him eat her bacon.

Andy comes to see Sheriff Deerborn. He’s come for some advice. He wants to know if he sucks at his job, how he’s to deal with current craziness. But Bud isn’t ready to help him. He sends him off, so he can go “relax” with his enhancement cream, hot tub and woman that isn’t his wife.

Lafayette goes to see Jesus’s uncle. The house seems empty as he looks around, until he finds Jesus’s head. His uncle holds Lafayette at gun point, upset that Jesus gave his gift to Lafayette, but Lafayette isn’t one to be spit at, he spits back, and gets the butt of the gun. Nighty, night.

Luna wants to get out, and search for her shooter, but Sam doesn’t want her to help, she needs to heal first. Sookie comes bearing greasy goods, and takes Sam for a much needed cup of coffee. Sookie asks him if he would want to give away his abilities and become normal if he could, if all the hate would go away. He’s not sure if the hate would go away, if it would be worth it.

Tara does a little pole dancing action, as Pam sits on the throne. It’s just not the same without Eric in that seat. And who walks in but Lottie Mae, in her Sunday best. As always Lottie Mae is more worried about herself and her reputation, rather than her daughter. She’s a minister’s wife now, and she’s come to say goodbye to Tara. Tara sends her on her merry way, and gets back on her pole as her new mama watches on.

Salome forgives Russell in front of the rest of the Authority. He asks for forgiveness for what he said about Lilith, and calls for a round of praises.  Oh goodness, born again Russell. Nora continues on with her sermon, blah blah blah, Lilith’s blood is good. Eric watches on with hatred, and Salome plans to drink down the sacred blood. Only Dieter sees all of the pretty words as blasphemy. Russell kills him quickly, and asks for forgiveness.  Salome drinks the blood, and passes it around. Bill ponders whether or not they should, and Eric figures that nothing will happen, its only V.

They all have one heck of a V trip walking around in the streets. All the members of the Authority, Bill, Eric, Russell and even Steve Newlin are high as kites. Steve uses the opportunity to try to snuggle up to Russell, though he doesn’t get too far with that. An unsuspecting cabby nearly hits the group, and Bill and Eric give him an earful. Off the group runs with Bill getting a piggy back ride from Eric, how bromantic is that.

Tara sits behind Pam’s desk, and Pam finally has nice things to say to her Progeny. Pam tells her that her mom is a real bitch, and she tells her that that woman isn’t her mother anymore. She promises her that a hundred years from now, she won’t even remember her. Tara gets her first real embrace from her Maker, but it’s short lived, as Pam sends Tara back onto the pole.

Uncle crazy –pants, prepares Lafayette and his pregnant wife, for whatever black magic he thinks will allow him to regain his family’s magic. Poor Lafayette cannot say a word with his mouth sewn shut. The magic is stored in Lafayette’s brain and he plans on cutting it out of him, and letting his wife drink it so the baby will absorb the magic. But plans change when the wife takes him by surprise, and kills him. She cuts Lafayette’s mouth open. And I’m willing to bet that Jesus is in control of her.

JD tells the pack that his vampire friend has told him that the end of days has arrived. He’s tells them of a vampire vs human war coming on the horizon, and tries to get the pack to drink the blood to prove their loyalty. In fear, some members drink, and he even tries to give some to Emma. Martha stops Emma before she can drink, and finally the truth has come out. She takes Emma away.

Hoyt joins his dumb friends, and gets a Obama mask of his own. I guess his fangbanger days are over, and now its all about the hate now.

Sam is turned away from Luna’s bedside at the hospital. Visiting hours are over, but as he leaves, someone smells off, and he follows the scrub clad guy. He finds one of the culprits who shot him and Luna, and the guy doesn’t exactly deny it.

A girl sings at a party in a bar, when Russell joins in to do a duet. It’s a little awkward, even more so when he’s recognized by one of the guests of honor, the girl’s mother. And before the humans can raise the alarm, the vampires fall upon everyone in the bar.

Terry and Patrick await the Ifrit in field freezing their tushes off. The Ifrit finds them, and mocks them. But Terry is ready to be done with this whole mess, willing to kill himself to be rid of it. Patrick brings up the children, his family that Terry cannot leave behind, and Terry gives him back the gun. Patrick finally regrets giving the order to kill the woman who cursed them, but it doesn’t change things. They’re still cursed.

Jessica is feeding when Jason comes calling. He’s a bit of a mess, and he’s been drinking. He tells her all about his parent’s attack at the hands of vampire. Meanwhile Sookie thinks back over her powers, what everyone has thought about them, and what Claude told her about becoming human. She starts wasting her fairy juice everywhere. Jessica tries to comfort Jason, she kisses him and he freaks when he tastes blood on his lips. Sookie continues her light show. Jason takes offense when she doesn’t know the guy’s name she was drinking, and some harsh words are said. She bites him, he shoots her in the head, and she throws him out of her house. As he walks out to his car, he sees Sookie’s light show across the graveyard.

Everyone who ingested Lilith’s blood has made quite the mess of the bar. A drop of blood falls, and the group pauses, as a vampire Lilith manifests. Her feral cries forces them to feed harder, only Eric seems a bit reluctant. Godric appears to Eric and stops him, telling him to save Nora, since he knows this is wrong and she does not. He looks to her, and he doesn’t see Lilith, but Nora is clearly looking at something.

New Stills from True Blood Season 5

True Blood's fifth season is still months away, but they've released 20 stills!

The photos don't reveal all too much, but they bring up a few thoughts or questions.

Is Lafayette taking Sookie's suggestion that he need a new hair do badly? I mean seriously, it was awful last year, not worthy of his fabulousness, and yeah, it hurts me too just to look at it. And you know  his pain couldn't have anything at all to do with losing Jesus. Please let there be a haunting of ten.

I adore Jessica, but I gotta know where is Jason? Why is there not a picture of him with a smoopsy look on his face too?

Marcus is dead, why doesn't Luna look happier? Could it be something to do with that gun shot we heard in the teaser?

What has my favorite viking vamp teaming up with Bill?

My favorite Vamp hating reverend is a vampire. I love this, but please please please don't let him get staked quickly, or like at all.

I just want to know what was so important at breakfast that it warranted the three stills. Seriously, some crazy revelations better be delivered!

And finally we get to see some members of "The Authority."

So far I'm not entirely impressed. I mean Russell is far more impressive.

Meloni has a baddass air to him, but it could be the stake, otherwise, seriously these are the "head" vampires.

Hennesy looks like freaking Barbara Bush!

But the kid. Ok, he's creepy. I'm sure he's older than all the rest of them, and kids as the bringers of death are creepy in any capacity. The Authority should be a group of twisted ginger headed kindergartners, now that would be pure evil.

Seriously Alcide, enough with the plaid. I get it, you make lumberjacks into wet dreams, but still, your hotter in just your buff bronze skin. But still with nut job Debbie out of the picture, and Sookie leaving both Bill and Eric last season, when are we gonna get some Alcide action? Is this season finally gonna be the Season of the Wolf?

Pam is flawless, but I fear for her maker/progeny relationship after the last clip. Please Eric, don't send Pam away. No one else rocks the leathers quite like she does. Really, no one.

I adore Andy, and Holly has grown on me, but is the fairy that Andy boned last season gonna come back and bite him in the ass?

Scott Foley- Photo John P. Johnson HBO

Just what is Patrick looking for?

So what do you guys think that is going to happen this season?
