The Big Bang Theory S7E5 - "The Workplace Proximity" Recap
Amy tells Sheldon that she has been invited to consult on an experiment at Caltech for a few months. (This is where Sheldon works). He's fine with it until later when Howard tells him he would not want to work with Bernadette work all day long and then have to hang out with her afterwards. But when he tells Amy that he has changed his mind because of what Howard said, Bernadette is furious and storms off to confront him. Amy will not back out because she has already signed a contract. She tells him that they will not see each other just because they are working at the same place. When Sheldon returns to the apartment, Bernadette is in an argument with Howard and he is forced to stay the night at Raj's.
The following day at work, Amy maintains her distance from Sheldon. He then approaches her and proves to be an embarrassment in front of her colleagues. She has to explain that she is angry with him when he visits her in the lab later. He is forced to take the bus home, where Leonard and Penny repeatedly tell him that Amy is right.
Bernadette comes to Raj's and apologises to Howard, saying that sometimes it feels as though he'd rather spend time with his friends than her. He promises that starting tomorrow, she'll be her top priority. The reason for the delay is that he wants to finish the level of the Batman game he is playing with Raj. She is angered yet again and storms off.
Sheldon heads to Amy's and apologises, though it's quite tainted by his saying that she is at times difficult to put with.
Amy and Bernadette vent their frustrations to Penny at the Cheesecake Factory. She tells them not to worry, as she has told Leonard to sit them down and set them straight. In actuality, Leonard and the rest of the boys are playing with a laser.
The Big Bang Theory airs on Thursdays on CBS at 8PM.
