SDCC: Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. To End After Season 7

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. announced at San Diego Comic Con that the show will end after it's seventh season, which has already been filming while the sixth season has aired on Fridays on ABC. The "tentpole of Marvel television," as executive producer Jeph Loeb called it during the show's panel in Hall H, first began airing in 2013 when the Marvel Cinematic Universe was beginning to pick up steam into the powerhouse franchise it is today.

Over the years, the cast and crew has formed a close familial bond, with even newcomer Jeff Ward saying he felt welcomed into the family shortly after joining the cast. "They were so welcoming, and it's not always like that when you join a show that has been filming together for many years." The cast even pushed the audience to sing 'Happy Birthday' to producer Jed Whedon.

Clark Gregg has been the top-billed star since the series first began, and expresses his gratitude to the fans for being the driving force behind the show's inception. "I still remember coming out here in Hall back in 2010 to announce Thor," says Gregg, who continued his run as Agent Coulson into The Avengers where his character was killed at the hands of Loki and his sceptre. The #CoulsonLives movement was born and gained so much traction that Gregg was hired for what would end up being the first of many Marvel TV shows to spawn off across numerous networks including ABC, Netflix, Hulu, and Freeform.

The closing announcement triggers an onslaught of emotions from the cast, with Ming-Na Wen becoming teary-eyed to the point of Iain De Caestecker offering up his sleeve for her to wipe her eyes. "The people behind the cameras also contribute so much," says Wen, who is set to appear at D23 Expo next month alongside Robert Downey, Jr. both of whom will be inducted as Disney Legends.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. also served as a platform for new break-out stars including Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, and Gabriel Luna, who appeared in Hall H earlier that day to promote his role in the new Terminator: Dark Fate film and will be reprising his role as Ghost Rider in his own Hulu series.

The panel took time to play montages from each season to show the wide array of stories and characters throughout its run. Bennet remembers the difficulty of shooting the scene where her character Daisy Johnson first got powers. There was a tremendously technical aspect to shooting her getting thrown back and it all happened right after she had to play a crying emotionality due to the death of Agent Tripp. "By the time we were shooting me getting my powers, I was crying for real, out of frustration."

The relationship between Fitz and Simmons has been another core aspect of the show since the beginning. As De Caestecker and Henstridge look back on the time they had to play large portions of their arcs apart from one another, such as when "Fitz" was absent in favour of his evil doppelgänger "Leopold," De Caestecker sings to the audience, "You don't know what you've got until it's gone." He raves about getting to work alongside Henstridge for so much of their time together and how familiar it's become to him. "You were great at that part, though," adds Henstridge, in reference to his Leopold character which marked a significant departure from his usual material.

Fans still have plenty to look forward to, as Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. continues to air the remaining episodes of season 6 (Fridays on ABC) and will air season 7 in summer of 2020. Hopefully the cast will get to grace the Comic Con stage one last time before their final curtain call.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S4E22 "World's End" (Season Finale) Recap

Rodriguez is inside the Framework, having entered to try to bring Mack back to the real world. She encounters Radcliffe, who saves her from being killed by a Hydra agent. He found her due to Daisy planting a trail to lead him there. The Framework is shutting down due to Ophelia working to transfer it into the real world. Ophelia wants to use the Darkhold to make S.H.I.E.L.D. suffer and Fitz in particular. Robbie Reyes, having returned to this world, arrives and fights the Ivanov machines to get to the Darkhold. He is shocked to find that Ophelia is no longer a machine but she is unable to kill him with her abilities so she retreats.

Ivanov brings the Darkhold to a meeting of international leaders at which Talbot is present and the topic of discussion at hand is S.H.I.E.L.D. and all its recent ongoings. Ivanov intends to use the book as a weapon against the Inhumans but the meeting is interrupted with a coordinated attack in which an LMD of Daisy shoots Talbot in the head. Talbot remains alive but is comatose. The real S.H.I.E.L.D. team and Robbie come to save Talbot and Robbie in particular is fueled by the Ghost inside of him wanting to destroy Ophelia, as she is made up of material from the Darkhold too. The military wants to expose Daisy for the crime they believe she commits but Coulson and May get away with the Darkhold. They meet up with Daisy and Robbie who have fought off Ivanov and destroyed the Daisy LMD.

Coulson wants to use the Darkhold as bait to lure Ophelia out but Robbie and the others insist that it's too dangerous to risk losing it. Also, Ophelia teleports away every time she sees Robbie flame on, knowing that he can destroy her as the Ghost.

Rodriguez struggles to convince Mack to leave the Framework, even as things and people are disappearing around them. In the real world, Ophelia stabs Simmons and threatens to kill her, forcing Fitz to offer to hand over the Darkhold. Ophelia electrocutes Simmons and teleports away to Coulson. The Simmons that Ophelia attacked was an LMD. The real Simmons emerges to shoot Ophelia. She heals her wounds but then Coulson grabs hold of her and reveals that he struck a deal with the Spirit of Vengeance to be the temporary Ghost Rider long enough to kill Ophelia.

Back in the Framework, Hope accidentally overhears Rodriguez say she isn't real. Rodriguez tries again to convince Mack to come back. A door reveals itself to give them the opportunity to escape. Radcliffe implores Rodriguez to leave but she doesn't want to leave Mack. The room around them continues to disappear and then Hope disappears right from Mack's grip. Rodriguez returns to the real world and Mack follows her, having nothing left in the Framework to stay for. Radcliffe stay behind, allowing himself to be deleted, as he makes peace with the fact that immortality without Kitsworth wouldn't be worth having.

Robbie and Coulson discuss some secret involving the Spirit of Vengeance that Coulson now knows after being possessed by it, asking Robbie to not tell the others since Coulson plans to tell them at the right time. Mack makes peace with Rodriguez, assuring her there is nothing to forgive, and plans to make a life with her.

Robbie leaves with the Darkhold through a portal, having learned how to open the portal himself since he last saw the team. Fitz wants to take the blame for everything that has happened, still harboring the guilt for what happened in the Framework, but Daisy insists that they are all a team and they will get through everything together. She knows she lost herself when she went rouge and blamed herself for Lincoln's death. They stay together and wait for the government to arrive and punish them for what has happened. But a mysterious group arrives and takes them instead. Fast forward an unknown period of time and Coulson is shown to be working on a space station.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return for season 5 on ABC.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S4E21 "The Return" Recap

Coulson is horrified to realise that Ophelia has Inhuman abilities in her new body after she teleports away with Fitz. All the agents on the Zephyr One plane must fight off Ivanov and his men, which are all robots that look just like him. Tensions run high as Rodriguez resent Daisy for not getting Mack to return from the Framework, though her anger is softened somewhat when she learns that his daughter is live in there, and May is somewhat perturbed that Coulson took so long to realise she had been replaced with a copy. Everyone on team S.H.I.E.L.D. must fight off Ivanov and the other robots to protect themselves and Mack's particularly vulnerable body still hooked up tho the machine.

Fitz and Ophelia are isolated while she discovers the new sensory experience of human emotions and Fitz remembers all the bad things he did inside the Framework. Ivanov launches torpedoes to try to destroy Mack's body but Fitz has already implored Ophelia to be good and focus on her empathy. She uses her new Inhuman abilities to save Mack's body. Simmons tranquilizes both Fitz and Ophelia to keep them in custody and everyone all escapes together. The team discuss what to do with Ophelia and the ethical problems of killing her since she is now human and rescued Mack. Simmons is upset when she learns from Coulson and May feel like they experienced another life by being put in the Framework and what the implications are for Fitz.

Fitz wakes in an isolated area with Ophelia. They discuss her new state of existence and the emotions that come with it. Fitz is shaken by everything he did inside the Framework but admits that even after everything that has happened, he still loves Simmons over Ophelia. Unbeknownst to them, Simmons is listening in on the entire conversation and Ophelia becomes enraged. Simmons tries to warn the others that Fitz needs to be extracted from the room and finds that Talbot has arrived at the base with many other soldiers. Fitz manages to get out of the containment unit but Ophelia uses her abilities to escape too. She kills many soldiers and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, and in the process is how to be immune to gunshot wounds.

The surviving people escape in the Zephyr and Ophelia returns to Ivanov who reveals his intentions to use his knowledge from the Darkhold to transfer the reality of the Framework into the real world. Rodriguez enters the Framework in a desperate attempt to get Mack to return to the real world. Finally, the Ghost Rider returns through a portal from the dimension he had previously thrown himself into.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S4E20 "Farewell, Cruel World!" Recap

When Daisy and Simmons entered the Framework, their bodies were left to be protected by Rodriguez on the Zephyr One aircraft. Since connecting the Framework to the plane is draining a significant amount of power, Rodriguez has to shut off the plane's cloaking ability, which means Ivanov and his men can find the plane.

In the Framework, Simmons is struggling with the idea of leaving Fitz behind but Daisy implores her to see that they have to save the rest of the team for the time being, since this version of Fitz is putting them all in danger as the head of Hydra. Simmons later runs away from the base and visits Fitz's father Alistair to try to get to Fitz. She forces him to call Fitz and when he warns Fitz of Simmons' presence, a struggle ensues and Simmons is forced to kill him with Fitz still on the call hearing the whole thing unfold. Fitz begins hunting Simmons while incentivizing Radcliffe to help by offering to send him through the machine which would restore his living body.

Ophelia is panic-stricken and initiates the sequence to be transferred into her new body. Daisy leads the rest of the group to Radcliffe's exit point, where she, Coulson, and May manage to cross back into the real world. Fitz arrives at the exit point and confronts Simmons and tries to kill her but it stopped by Radcliffe, who has come to regret everything since the Darkhold corrupted his mind. He send Fitz through the exit point and then Simmons, whom he apologises to for everything. Mack decides to stay in the Framework, not wanting to live in a world without Hope.

Fitz is horrified at all the things he did inside the Framework, overcome with remorse for all the people he hurt and people he killed. The newly human version of Ophelia confronts the group, and teleports away with Fitz.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S4E19 "All the Madame's Men" Recap

Daisy regains her Metahuman abilities and escapes Hydra with May, and break's Ophelia's back on the way out. Her injuries lead to Fitz's promotion to be in charge of Hydra but he is ordered by Ophelia to continue working on their secret Project: Looking Glass, which upon completion will render her Framework body obsolete.

Daisy and May reconvene with S.H.I.E.L.D. where they find the team still in recovery after Mace's death. May has access to her body cam footage from the recent attack on the Enlightenment Centre. Coulson uses the footage as a means of undermining Hydra's propaganda by broadcasting it to the world. An additional side plot is that Daisy gives Ward an ounce of redemption by seeing how willing this version of him is to help them get back to their world, even if it puts himself at the risk of dying by Hydra's hand in the process.

Simmons and Triplett are working together to infiltrate a Russian oil platform, which he believes is the location of the Looking Glass in the real world. This location is where Aida is running the Framework. The platform is empty when they arrive but Simmons realises that Aida is trying to use the technology from the Darkhold to grow real human tissue so Ophelia will be able to move from the Framework into a real human body in the real world.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S4E18 "No Regrets" Recap

Mace and Coulson capture a Hydra vehicle to infiltrate a Hydra "Enlightenment Camp" in which an undercover agent is being held captive. Daisy is being tortured and interrogated by Fitz, who Simmons still insists on believing in. Aida offers to give Daisy Lincoln back if she surrenders the location of their bodies in the real world, so that Daisy might be able to live in peace and happiness with him in the Framework. Daisy is able to speak to Radcliffe through the vents in their cells and he tells her about another backdoor he installed to escape the Framework that Aida will not have been able to disable but in all likelihood will have guarded.

May volunteers to be injected with a super serum so she can better fight Mace, who is with Coulson freeing the uncover agent - Antoine Triplett, who is still alive in the Framework. May tracks them down there and while fighting with Mace, Coulson tries to save one of his former students from a brainwashing centre. Mace follows in to help Coulson, as the building begins to collapse due to a missile shot by Hydra. May enters the building to ensure that Mace is dead and comes across him stopping debris from crushing the student. She is also shocked and disgusted to find that the building is full of children being harmed by Hydra. Mace is able to hold up the debris long enough for the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to get the child to safety. Mace sacrifices himself to hold the debris up long enough for everyone else to get away, though he is killed in the process.

Aida returns to the real world and finds that Mace's body there is dead too.

Shaken by her experience regarding the children, May smuggles a Terrigen crystal into Daisy's holding cell so that she activate her Inhuman abilities inside the Framework.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S4E17 "Identity and Change" Recap

Now that Coulson has begun to recall Daisy, she tells him about the Framework and the real world. Mack's daughter uses some parts from a wrecked Hydra drone and Mack must try to keep this hidden and return the parts without them getting caught. Daisy returns to Hydra to try to locate Radcliffe after learning he is somewhere in the Framework. May orders Daisy to stay so Daisy send the coordinates with Ward to give to Simmons and Coulson who are brought to the HQ of the Resistance. The Resistance is an organisation consisting of the remnants of S.H.I.E.L.D., and is run by Mace. After Simmons convinces him of her loyalty to S.H.I.E.L.D., Mace authorises a mission led by Ward to extract Radcliffe.

Aida tells Fitz about Simmons and says she is from another world intending to destroy theirs. Daisy is forced on a Hydra mission designed to help hunt down Simmons and any potential allies. As a result, Daisy must watch in horror as Mack and Hope are arrested. May forces Mack to pretend to know Daisy in order to trick her into confessing her true allegiance to S.H.I.E.L.D. which results in Daisy's arrest while both Mack and his daughter are released.

Ward, Simmons, and Coulson find Radcliffe, who has been spending time with Kitsworth. He reveals that Aida killed his physical body before destroying the nexus that gets them out of the Framework into the real world. Radcliffe assures them that this is not what he intended when he created the Framework. What was supposed to be a paradise has gone terribly awry. Kitsworth doesn't remember the real world and Radcliffe is trying to protect her. Ward's team is forced to hide when Fitz and Aida arrive. When Radcliffe tells Fitz the truth about everything, he kills Kitworth anyway, leaving Simmons shocked and horrified.

Radcliffe is taken captive back to Hydra headquarters, where Fitz begins torturing both him and Daisy. Finally, Mack joins the Resistance.

In the Framework, Daisy finds that she is in a relationship with Ward and that they work together for Hydra to hunt down Inhumans. She's also being referred to by her old name, Skye. May and Fitz are their commanding officers. May's defining tragedy never happened, as the young Inhuamn girl she was able to save and bring back to America eventually became a mass murderer that Hydra used as a means of rising to power. After Simmons rises from her grave, she races to find a way back to the city to reunite with Daisy, who is tasked with Ward to interrogate Vijay.

Simmons fights off some government agents and gets away with their car. Simmons tries to find Daisy, who is busy trying to maintain her cover and determine what is happening within Hydra. She tracks down Coulson and learns of how he is teaching a Hydra-approved curriculum that indoctrinates children into hating Inhumans. He doesn't believe her when she says they are all inside a virtual simulation so he calls Hydra to come after her. In this reality, Coulson never joined S.H.I.E.L.D.

Daisy learns that Hydra is going after Simmons and tries to get to her first. When she reaches her, Ward reveals himself to have followed and that he's actually a mole inside Hydra for the Resistance. He helps them get away from Hydra, and then Daisy tries to escape with Simmons. When they attempt to exit the Framework using the safeguard Simmons created, they find it has been blocked by Aida, who now entered the Framework acting as both the Director of Hydra and Fitz's lover. Daisy then goes to visit Coulson and much to both of their surprise, he remembers her name.

Coulson and Mack track down Agnes Kitsworth, Radcliffe's former lover and partner, whom Aida was modeled after. Radcliffe had left her after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer and Coulson convinces her to meet with Radcliffe. Ivanov suspects Nadeer may be an Inhuman like her brother so he sends Watchdog Tucker Shockley to expose her terrigen. Agent Billy Koenig, having been entrusted by Coulson to guard the Darkhold, is abducted by the Watchdogs. Nadeer orders Radcliffe to enlist the Superior, an industrialist named Ivanov, who scans Koenig's brain to locate the Darkhold. It's revealed to have been hidden in the Labyrinth, a S.H.I.E.L.D. facility that only the Koenigs know of. Coulson has secured the other Koenigs and takes them along with Daisy and the May LMD to get the Darkhold. Meanwhile, Fitz is working on the Radcliffe LMD to try to gain further information and learns that Radcliffe knows Fitz's estranged father and has created another LMD.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S04E10 "The Patriot" Recap

Mace gives a press conference to publicly celebrate and pardon Daisy, claiming that she was undercover and everything she did during that tie was part of her mission. The press conference is interrupted by the arrival of a sniper that attempts to kill Mace. Coulson and Mack rush Mace to a quinjet along with PR agent Burrows, who always stays near Mace with a briefcase, but the quinjet explodes mid-flight. Burrows is thrown from the plane with his briefcase and everyone lands in a forest. Meanwhile, Daisy and May are interrogating the sniper for answers regarding his assassination attempt of Mace.

In the forest, ex-Hydra agents are lying in wait, having been hired by the Watchdogs. They recovered Burrows' body already. Mace attempts to get a serum from the briefcase but it is destroyed before he can do so, leading him to be injured. Mace reveals to the field team, just as General Talbott reveals to the team back at SHIELD that Mace gained super abilities by a serum developed by the government. He was manufactured to be a enhanced leader of SHIELD that people could trust.

May has ben put in a simulation of relaxing in a spa on a loop but it doesn't sit well with her. She grows increasingly suspicious so she forces herself awake and tries to break out but Aida restrains her. Radcliffe is alarmed by Aida's brutality and insists that she merely sedate May, which she eventually does, but things aren't looking good for Aida's trajectory. Radcliffe realises that the only way for May to accept the simulation is to give her conflict to fight against, as she is a warrior. Meanwhile, Fitz is shown to be secretly studying the original Aida LMD's decapitated head.

Coulson tells Mace that he must continue on as "The Patriot" and has him put his suit back on. Regardless of his lack of abilities at the moment, he can still put on a good front and distract them long enough to get through another round of attacks while Mack is outside shooting and fighting them off. They're eventually rescued by Daisy and the May LMD, who is unaware that she isn't the real May since that's not how she's programmed. When they all return to the base, Mace suggests that he step down from his position but Coulson tells him to keep the title and handle the politics. He will be the public face of SHIELD but Coulson will be reinstated to take command of the operations and missions. Coulson was never a fan of the political side of things, anyway.

Finally, the May LMD discovers her robotic skeleton when examining a wound she gained in battle.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S04E09 "Broken Promises" Recap

The Darkhold is now in SHIELD's custody and they hope to destroy it to prevent it from ever flying into the wrong hands or being used as a weapon of destruction. Fitz is working alongside Dr. Holden Radcliffe on the Aida robot they have built. Their latest orders are to clear the memory inside the android due to her having read the Darkhold. The unfortunate side-effect of her having read it is a greater sentience and thus she chooses to overpower them when they attempt to wipe her memory. She proceeds to take control of the SHIELD operating systems and launches an attack on the facility that holds the book.

Vijay Nadeer is recovering at special facility after having spent several months in an Inhuman Terrine cocoon. His sister is Senator Ellen Nadeer, who is one of the leaders at the forefront of the Humans First political movement, which is a movement of bigotry against Inhumans. The siblings had developed their hatred for aliens when their mother died during an alien attack. It was then that they struck an agreement that if either one of them became infected and transformed into any form of alien that the other would kill them. Senator Nadeer employs a group of Watchdogs, which operate as anti-Inhuman terrorists, and orders them to kill Vijay due to his having been cocooned. Vijay begs her not to have him killed, and notes that he hasn't shown any signs or abilities of being an Inhuman.

Jeffrey Mace, the new SHIELD director, arrives at Vijay's facility along with Daisy and Simmons, who had helped Vijay escape his cocoon. During the tense encounter, Vijay learns and reveals to everyone that he has enhanced, Inhuman reflexes. Senator Nadeer is able to convince Vijay to run away with her instead of going with SHIELD but when they make their getaway in a helicopter, she kills him and throws his body out into a lake where it is once again enveloped in a Terrigen cocoon.

Coulson send the location of the Darkhold to May, not knowing that it is actually an android of May that Aida had created to take May's place for the purpose of using as a spy. The real May is being held captive. Aida uses the May android to get the location of the book but Fitz is able to regain control of the facility's systems in time before Aida can make her escape to go after it. Although Agent Mack is able to behead the Aida android with his ax, Radcliffe has already built a new Aida that he plans to use to obtain the book to use for himself and unlock the key to eternal life. The original Aida was supposed to appear to become sentient but it was all orchestrated by Radcliffe as part of his elaborate plan to get the book. Now it will be up to the May android to retrieve it.

When he happens upon farm crew chief Isaac Castillo (Richard Cabral), he takes the opportunity to get his life back on track. But as he desperately tries to free himself of his addiction, he begins to become suspicious of Isaac’s promises and aware of the injustices taking place on the farm. Hesby Farms is a struggling tomato farm, forced to cut back on labor costs in order to be competitive in a market that continuously demands lower prices. Jeanette Hesby (Felicity Huffman), who married into the family that owns the farm, begins to learn the shocking truth behind their wealth. Her turmoil will eventually force her to make a moral decision which could put her at odds with the family. Kimara Walters (Regina King) is a dedicated social worker who truly wants to help those in need.  Unattached, single and in her forties, she desperately wants to have a baby and is finding it hard to get pregnant, even with the help of modern medicine. When Kimara meets Shae (Ana Mulvoy-Ten), a 17-year-old prostitute, she wants to help her get out of the business, turn her life around and take a stand against her pimp. Nicholas Coates (Timothy Hutton) owns a furniture supply business and is feeling the sting of buyers wanting quality items at discounted prices. At home, he finds himself in a marriage where memories of the past seem much more pleasant than the present. His wife, Clair (Lili Taylor), decides that she wants to hire and provide a working visa for a Haitian woman, Gabrielle (Mickaëlle X. Bizet), to be their son’s nanny. DOWNWARD DOG
Based on a web series, “Downward Dog” is about a struggling millennial, Nan (Allison Tolman), as observed from the point of view of her lonely and philosophical dog, Martin (voiced by Samm Hodges). Just one session at obedience school makes them realize that even at their worst they may be the best thing for each other. While Martin lays around at home questioning the motives of the neighborhood cat and exercises newly acquired “superpowers” to open the doggie door with his mind, Nan spends her days at advertising agency Clark and Bow, struggling to prove herself to clients and senior management. Despite her boss Kevin’s (Barry Rothbart) patronizing and demoralizing criticisms, Nan and her best friend and co-worker, Jenn (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), find creative ways to persevere. Because of Nan’s long hours at work, she relies on ex-boyfriend Jason (Lucas Neff) to help take care of Martin.  Jason’s easy-going and sometimes unemployed lifestyle strengthens his friendship with Martin, but makes it difficult for Nan to move on.

“Downward Dog” stars Allison Tolman (Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated, “Fargo”) as Nan, Lucas Neff (“Raising Hope”) as Jason, Kirby Howell-Baptiste (“Love”) as Jenn, Barry Rothbart (“The Wolf of Wall Street”) and co-creator Samm Hodges as the voice of Martin.

TIME AFTER TIME
Using the 1979 novel and movie as a launching point, “Time After Time” chronicles the adventures of a young H.G. Wells (Freddie Stroma) as he travels through centuries, decades and days in the time machine he created. While in the pursuit of the charismatic (yet secretly psychopathic) Dr. John Stevenson (Josh Bowman), better known as “Jack the Ripper,” Wells travels to modern day New York City in search of Stevenson following the doctor’s brazen escape from authorities in Wells’ London home. But instead of the Utopia he imagined, Wells finds a world more aligned with Stevenson’s temperament that leads him on a daring adventure full of mystery, romance and intrigue. Using creative elements from many of Wells’ classic stories, beginning with “The Time Machine” and “The Invisible Man” to “The Island of Dr. Moreau” and others, “Time After Time” creates a fantasy world surrounding the events that inspired these great literary works that focus on the best and worst of human nature and its relationship to science and technology.  Using the time machine to launch the series, “Time After Time” is not a time travel show, rather it’s a series that looks at the world of today through the eyes of yesterday while fully charged with danger and adventure and centered in thrills, satire, humor – and most of all – an epic love story.

“Time After Time” stars Freddie Stroma (“UnReal”) as H.G. Wells, Josh Bowman (“Revenge”) as Dr. John Stevenson (Jack the Ripper), Genesis Rodriguez (“Big Hero 6”) as Jane Walker, Nicole Ari Parker (“Rosewood”) as Vanessa Anders, Jennifer Ferrin (“Hell On Wheels”) as Brooke and Will Chase (“Nashville”) as Griffin.

“Time After Time” is from Warner Bros Television.  Kevin Williamson is the creator and executive producer.  Marcos Siega is executive producer and a director.

Starring in the mini-series are Guy Pearce (“Memento,” “L.A. Confidential”) as LGBT activist Cleve Jones, Mary-Louise Parker (“Weeds,” “Angels in America”) as women’s rights leader Roma Guy, Rachel Griffiths (“Brothers and Sisters,” “Six Feet Under”) as her wife, social justice activist Diane, Michael K. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S4E1 - "The Ghost" Review

Daisy's on the run as the vigilante "Quake" but she's spending her time tracking down gang members in Los Angeles and this is how she learns of Ghost Rider, as he is killing them. Of all the characters o the show, Daisy's has been the most remarkable, as Chloe Bennet has proven herself a highly capable performer as her material has grown increasingly more heavy and dramatic, a stark contrast to her own cheerful, quick-witted disposition. Newcomer Gabriel Luna has already impressed as the Robbie Reyes incarnation of Ghost Rider and we should all expect big things to come from him on the show. In a single episode, we see the range of him being a dark, vengeful figure ready to murder wrongdoers, and a sensitive, compassionate brother tending to his disabled younger brother. The other newcomer in this premiere is John Hannah as S.H.I.E.L.D. ally Holden Radcliffe, and in all honesty, we had thought for a moment that he was playing Fitz's father. This dynamic should be great fun to see explored further, though we can't help but feel a sense of dread that this secrecy is going to be a source of unneeded angst in Fitz and Simmons' relationship.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs on Tuesdays on ABC at 10PM.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S3E6 - "Among Us Hide..." Recap

Unsurprisingly, Andrew Garner isn't dead. Hunter is reprimanded for his rash behaviour on the mission to apprehend Ward so Bobbi is assigned to take his place. After Garner relays what happened with Strucker, who fled the scene after attacking him, Bobbi and May work on tracking him down. They head to the Cayman Islands in order to track a Hydra account being used by Ward's rebuilt Hydra hive. They accidentally set off an alarm and after Bobbi's attempts to fake a cover-story are unsuccessful, she and May have to fight their way out.

Coulson goes to visit the ATCU facility that Daisy and Mack were never able to make it to. Daisy, Mack, and Hunter work on a theory that Price's right-hand man Banks may be the human alter-ego of Lash. After tracking Banks down, Hunter goes rouge, knocks him out, and the three of them steal some of his blood before sneaking a camera into the building that he was heading towards before being knocked out.

Daisy and her team determine from Banks' blood is not an Inhuman. They then see through a surveillance feed that Coulson is at the ATCU facility and he is observing a captured Inhuman arrive there in suspended animation. Daisy becomes even more determined that they will not work with the ATCU. But Price reveals to Coulson that the reason she wants to "cure" the Inhumans is because she was unable to save her husband from dying of cancer.

May and Bobbi are able to track Stucker down to the apartment of Gideon Malick, whom Strucker had sought refuge with. But Malick instead turned him over to Hydra on the condition of receiving a favour down the line. While Morse fights off other Hydra members, Strucker reveals with his dying words what really happened at the attack on Garner. In a flashback, we see Garner transform into Lash.

Finally, Daisy is revealed to be calling Lincoln to make sure that he's okay. He promises to call back soon and they end the call before it can be traced. Garner enquires after Lincoln's location but Daisy truthfully says that he refuses to tell her where he is.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S3E5 - "4,722 Hours" Recap

Finally, we begin to learn what happened to Simmons during the six months she spent on the planet. The planet was sun-less and seemingly deserted. Eventually, Simmons had to move from her point of arrival to find water. She's able to find a pool of water but is attacked by an alien inside of it. She is able to fight it off and feed off of its limbs to stay alive. Eventually she meets a man named Will Daniels who initially takes her captive.

Simmons escapes and Daniels chases after her and tends to a leg wound of hers, saying that "it" smells blood. They retreat back into his makeshift living space. Daniels is a stranded astronaut that had travelled through the portal with a team of scientists in 2001 back when the monolith was in NASA's custody. Over time, each member of the team was driven mad by the planet and an evil entity that lives upon it. Everyone died except for Daniels.

Simmons is able to figure out that they can track the stars and alignment of the planet's moons to determine the rate at which the planet rotates. The portal is in a fixed location so they can figure out where it will be and anticipate the next time that it opens. Just before the last of their power dies, they are able to learn that the portal will open in eighteen days and the location is somewhere quite dangerous. Unfortunately, they're unable to get to the portal in time. They try to shoot a message in a bottle into the portal that contains all the information they had gathered so that Fitz would know how to get them out but they just barely miss it.

Simmons loses hope of ever getting home but finds comfort with Daniels and falls in love with him. Some time later, they see a flare sent through the portal by Fitz. While Daniels distracted the evil entity, Simmons was able to make it to the portal and return to Earth. This brings up back to the present, where Simmons has finished explaining to Fitz that now she needs to reopen the portal so she can rescue Daniels. Fitz agrees to help while Daniels is shown to be still alive on the planet.

Lash has been using Dwight to track down their targets.

May comes to S.H.I.E.L.D. to express her concerns to Coulson that Hunter is taking his mission to personally and it's making him reckless but while in the facility, she refuses to talk to Garner, who had left her while the pair were making effort to reconcile.

The ATCU takes Frye, and Daisy and Mack come along to see their base and Inhuman facilities. But when Lash ambushes the van, Frey is killed, Mack is injured, but Daisy is spared. She sees Lash transforming into an ordinary human after the attack.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S3E3 - "A Wanted (Inhu)man" Recap

The ATCU is hunting down Lincoln, whom Daisy learns S.H.I.E.L.D. put a tracker on. She calls him to reach out and offer help but he feels betrayed at them for having tracked him at all. Lincoln meets with an old friend to stay hidden but the man betrays him instead when he learns of the ATCU asking the public for help in capturing the "alien" (Lincoln - whose face they have repeatedly broadcasted as a wanted criminal). Lincoln has no choice but to call Daisy for help.

Simmons is struggling to adjust to being back on earth with the help of Fitz, but with the different physics of Earth and the mental trauma of what she experienced, it appears it will be some time before she can mend more fully.

Coulson arranges a meeting with Price and asks her to let S.H.I.E.L.D. take Lincoln instead of them. But when he learns that they know about Daisy too, he realises that he'll have to let them take Lincoln in order to protect Daisy.

May goes with Hunter to meet a contact of his that works for Hydra. He takes Hunter to an invitation system so he can join Hydra (part of a plan he has to infiltrate the organisation as a double-agent). May goes with him and Hunter learns he must fight to the death to prove himself worthy. Unfortunately, he has to fight his contact. They fight and Hunter kills his old friend, after which he is accepted into Hydra.

Daisy meets with Lincoln and they kiss before he agrees to go with her but then he ends up getting attacking anyway because of Coulson's teaming up with the ATCU to protect Daisy. Lincoln is able to escape and the ATCU try to take Daisy, so Coulson is forced to agree to work with Price so they can capture the Inhumans.

Fitz takes Simmons out for dinner (finally) but she becomes emotional and breaks down, so Fitz comforts her. Later, Bobbi finds Simmons in the lab trying to reopen the portal and return to the planet.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S3E2 - "Purpose in the Machine" Recap

Dr. Andrew Garner does an evaluation of Gutierrez and determines that he is not yet ready to join the Secret Warriors. His ex-wife, May, is still on leave from S.H.I.E.L.D. and is tracked down by Hunter, who is eventually able to convince her to return and help him with his mission. His mission is to hunt down and take out Ward, who has been working to rebuild Hydra from the ground up. Ward sends Werner von Strucker, Strucker's son, to go undercover as a student taking Garner's psychology class.

Meanwhile, Fitz realises that the Monolith can act as a portal and thus reaches out to Asgardian Elliot Randolph to help him.  Elliot takes them to an ancient English castle where a machine had previously been constructed to open the Monolith by using vibrations. With Daisy's Inhuman abilities, he is able to recreate the machine's capabilities, albeit with some injuries received by doing so. Fitz quickly jumps into the portal and is able to find Simmons and bring her back just in time as the Monolith succumbs to Daisy's power.
