Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S4E13 "BOOM" Recap

Mace's body is struggling due to the serum he was using to gain abilities and Simmons says that every time he uses it he is risking that it will kill him. Coulson and Mack track down Agnes Kitsworth, Radcliffe's former lover and partner, whom Aida was modeled after. Radcliffe had left her after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer and Coulson convinces her to meet with Radcliffe. Ivanov suspects Nadeer may be an Inhuman like her brother so he sends Watchdog Tucker Shockley to expose her terrigen. But in the process, Shockley gets transformed instead and explodes, killing Nadeer in the process. Ivanov decides to use Shockley's new explosive ability as a weapon against S.H.I.E.L.D.

When Kitsworth meets with Radcliffe he convinces her he can save her life and cure her if she helps him escape before S.H.I.E.L.D. can capture them. Daisy fights Shockley long enough for Fitz and Simmons to contain him in a device they designed to contain his new explosive ability. He is able to reform his molecules each time he explodes. But all of this was just a distraction designed by Ivanov so he could attack and kidnap Mace.

Kitsworth's cancer finally takes her life but Radcliffe places her consciousness in the virtual "Framework" with May.
