Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E13 "Principia" Recap
Yo-Yo struggles to come to terms with the fact that she'll have to get robotic replacement arms though the other team members do their best to reassure her and Mack says that her heart and soul are the same regardless of the change.
The rift has begun to reopen so Fitz sends the team out to search for more gravitonium to try to close it once more. They follow a lead to Baton Rouge that sees Mack reunited with an old school mate named Tony Caine. Tony has been working to help scientists find their way back to a righteous line of work after being coerced into working for Hydra. His aim is to recruit them into Cybertek Industries. Tony says that the gravitonium supply was being transported on the Principia, a Cybertek ship that has since gone missing.
Meanwhile, General Hale is continuing to work on forming a team that will help her to fulfill her goals. Her next step in this process is to bring Werner von Strucker to the base. His memory has been enhanced by SHIELD reviving him from a vegetative state. Strucker is largely hostile to the idea and turns down Hale's offer. But after some conversations with Ruby, he decides to stay.
Deke determines that the gravitonium may have been activated by the lightning storm which is what caused the Principia to go into the sky. The team follows this lead and are able to track down the Principia suspended in the sky. Most of the gravitonium is gone already, with only a small supply left to sustain the ship as it is. Mack gathers what's left of the gravitonium as a group of Hale's robotic soldiers attacks the team. They are all able to get away and off the ship before it falls back to the Earth's surface.
Deke overhears a saying his mother used to always say in a conversation between Simmons and Yo-Yo, leading him to realise that Fitz and Simmons are his grandparents.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs on Fridays on ABC at 9/8c.
