Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. D05E22 "The End" Recap

The team is split and arguing about whether to use the Centipede serum to save Coulson or to stop Talbot. Most of them want to use it to save Coulson but Yo-Yo thinks they need to stop Talbot so she takes the Centipede serum away from them. Mack tries to talk her down and proposes that they vote but then May destroys the odium vial, meaning the Centipede serum must be used to save Coulson. Fitz and Simmons get to work preparing the remedy.

Talbot takes Robin's mother away and says she won't see her again until she gives up the location of more gravitonium. Robin relents and directs him to a deposit in Chicago, which he steers Qovas' ship to.

Yo-Yo visits Coulson and tells him she was never arguing that he should die, but simply that they shouldn't bet all of their fates on him. He says that if he'd been involved in the argument he would've agreed with her.

Deke tells Daisy he admires the way the team would do practically anything to save one another but also advises her to help put the team back together and settle their differences. Their conversation is interrupted with news of Talbot appearing in Chicago.

Simmons brings the Centipede serum to Coulson but he refuses to take it despite May's pleas to him to do what needs to be done to be able to rejoin the fight and finally be with her romantically. He admits he reciprocates her feelings before she leaves him with the serum.

Talbot successfully reaches the location of the gravitonium deposit and prepares to retrieve it.

Daisy calls a meeting in which she admits she let her emotions get the best of her in pushing so hard to save Coulson and announces she wants Mack to be the leader of the team since she sees him as their moral centre. Daisy feels she is better suited to be a soldier anyway. The rest of the team all agree with Daisy's decision to be the team leader. Coulson emerges and gives Daisy her suit. Unbeknownst to her, he has hidden the serum in Daisy's gauntlets.

Mack sets up a way to call all the cellphones of the people on the ground in Chicago and gives them instructions on how to reach a ship they sent down to evacuate and also make their way out into the city to rescue people from buildings that have collapses in certain structures. While doing this, May and Mack find Robin and the ship structure nearby that Robin says her mother is trapped inside. Mack heads inside to find Robin's mother.

Coulson tells Daisy he isn't going out into the city, revealing to her that he didn't take the serum. He apologises, and gives her a pep talk to face Talbot herself. He coaches her on how to try to appeal to his good nature but if he's too far gone, to find the strength in her arms to beat him senseless.

Fitz reaches May and Robin and warns them that neither Robin or Mack are said to have survived based on what information they know from visiting the future. Mack has just reached Robin and gotten her out of the space she was trapped in but they find themselves in the presence of guards. Mack is prepared to fight the guards but May and Fitz appear to help defeat them. They get out of the ship and back into the building where Fitz is crushed by falling debris.

Coulson collapses and Simmons tries to find the syringe but discovers that it's gone and tells Yo-Yo to get the defibrillator to bring Coulson back. Yo-Yo continues to perform CPR, and the chest compressions eventually wake Coulson up.

Daisy tackles Talbot and tries to appeal to his patriotism and the good nature he once held but he attacks her instead and tries to absorb her. During this struggle, Daisy finds the serum and injects herself. Using her enhanced powers, she blasts Talbot into space. Finally, the timeline is changed.

Mack and May begin to pull the debris off of Fitz and are horrified to discover he has been impaled by one of the pieces. They stay by his side and keep him calm until he dies. Simmons is devastated to learn of Fitz's fate but later has the realization that she must find find the present version of Fitz that is still in stasis abroad Enoch's ship.

Coulson says goodbye to the team and leaves SHIELD, having decided to enjoy whatever time he has left in Tahiti with May.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E21 "The Force of Gravity" Recap

Daisy is still unconscious and being transported but Taryan uses a device to communicate with her while she is still out cold. She realises she's not conscious as their conversation progresses, and it's revealed that the device is attached to her forehead while she is being moved. Daisy is eventually able to activate her powers and snap the device in half which allows her to wake up and fight off the guards around her.

Talbot leaves the ship on a Quinjet to head back to Earth with some Remoraths. Talbot kills Agent Kim and Deke calls Mack to tell him what has happened. Mack ponders if they can talk Talbot down if they can only find him first. Deke manages to fight through the guards to get to Coulson and May and break them out of their holding cell. Deke also informs them of Talbot returning to Earth on the Quinjet. They then catch up to Daisy after she escaped her guards. Coulson says they can't leave yet because the ship has some ionizer missiles armed towards the Lighthouse and if they don't take those out first, they will risk the lives of all the innocent people living at River's End.

Talbot visits Creel at a hospital and approaches him, offering to give him the peace he has been searching for since he was exposed to the gravitonium. Creel takes his hand and finally feels peace but then Talbot fully absorbs Creel into his body.

Simmons continues to work on a cure for Coulson using the Centipede serum that Daisy brought back.

Mack deduces that Talbot is ultimately trying to prove that he is a good father. Mack and Yo-Yo use this to track Talbot down at his family home where his (ex-)wife and son are living. Talbot's powers and emotions get the better of him and he is prepared to kill his wife right when Mack and Yo-Yo arrive. They have their guns pointed at him and he is prepared to unleash his powers on them but he opts to leave them alone when his song George convinces him to not to hurt them. Talbot flies off, determined to prove he is a hero.

May continues to fight Qovas while Coulson and May get away on the Zephyr. Deke is able to reroute the missiles to target the ship and Qovas dies on board after May and Deke successfully teleport back to Earth into the Lighthouse where they are reunited with Fitz and Simmons. Coulson collapses from his sickness on board the Zephyr, prompting Daisy to rush him back to the Lighthouse. He is bleeding out but Fitz and Simmons are able to patch him up for the time being.

Fitz and Simmons have determined that the remaining Centipede serum could be combined with Jiaying's DNA or odium. The decision must be made as to whether to save Coulson or to stop Talbot.

Finally, Talbot rekidnaps Polly and Robin, and asks Robin to tell him where the remaining gravitonium is.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E20 "The One Who Will Save Us All" Recap

Talbot brings Coulson with him to break into Qovas' ship. Talbot claims to not be effected by the voices continued within the gravitonium as his military experience and status enables him to keep them in line. When they are captured by guards, Talbot declares himself the new leader and expresses control by killing one of the guards with his abilities, ordering the commander to kneel before him. The commander and all the other aliens relent and kneel.

Back at the Lighthouse, SHIELD has taken one of the warriors captive and discover he is on a substance called odium that is supposed to improve his abilities to fight as a warrior but he ultimately dies from the effects of the substance. Simmons is tasked with dissecting the body to learn more about odium.

Coulson meets with Hale, who appears remorseful and guilty over the death of Ruby. Coulson offer her the opportunity to help them make things right and tells her about Talbot having entered the box and absorbed the remaining gravitonium. She gives up information on the Confederacy, whom Hydra had made a deal with to trade gravitonium and Inhumans for protecting Earth from any invading threats.

Daisy returns to the Lighthouse with Jiaying's corpse and ends up in a fight with Yo-Yo that is only stopped when May fires a warning shot from her gun and says they need to focus on helping Coulson. May reprimands Yo-Yo, saying she must either find a way to help them or to leave and not come back. When Daisy is reunited with Deke he tells her that Fitz and Simmons are his grandparents.

Talbot leaves to go to a meeting with other alien leaders of the Confederacy, intent on renegotiating the terms of their agreement with Earth. The Confederacy is displeased with his unexpected arrival to the meeting but they are forced to comply when Talbot uses the gravitonium to kill and absorb one of the members.

Fitz tries to apologise to to Mack but he blames Fitz and Simmons for Yo-Yo's path into darkness that escalated till she killed Ruby. They are unable to come to an agreement on their differing philosophies. Meanwhile, Daisy shows Simmons the Centipede serums and Jiaying's body that she believes can be combined to try to save Coulson. Simmons is concerned about the ethical implications but Daisy pushes her to give it a shot if it means Coulson can stay alive.

Kasius' father, Taryan, attempts to manipulate Talbot by telling him about the threat Thanos' imminent invasion poses to the earth. He encourages Talbot to increase his powers by revealing that there are further untapped subterranean deposits of gravitonium on Earth. When Talbot returns to the ship and reveals his intentions, Coulson and Hale are unable to convince him of Taryan's true motives. Talbot won't listen to Coulson's concerns that the gravitonium is too unstable to further load himself up. Coulson and Hale have no choice but to comply with Talbot's wishes.

SHIELD equips the Zephyr with gravitonium in order to make it capable of space travel and make their way up to Qovas' ship. Talbot becomes increasingly paranoid and accuses Coulson of mutiny and conspiring with SHIELD to take the ship away from him. Daisy and May board the ship after Hale lies and claims that she tried to convince Coulson not to do it. Talbot holds Coulson captive and levitating off the ground, threatening to kill him if Daisy tries to use her powers. Hale attempts to trigger Talbot's brainwashing, prompting him to put Coulson down but then he kills Hale in retaliation for what he sees as her betrayal. Daisy tries to use her powers against him but it does little more than make him slide back a few inches. He knocks her out with a wave of his fingers and May is forced to surrender when Talbot threatens Coulson's life.

Some time later, Daisy is shown to be imprisoned by Taryan who intends to take her back to his homeworld.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E19 "Option Two" Recap

Coulson and the rest of the team reconvene about what to do next since Hale escaped. The various members disagree with Yo-Yo for killing Ruby and only Fitz and Simmons agree that she did the right thing. There is extra resentment about Fitz and Simmons breaking out and disobeying Daisy's orders. Fitz and Simmons ponder with Deke about whether his existence displays that they're stuck in a time loop or if them saving the world means that Deke will blink out of existence. They give him the gravitonium and tell him to guard it.

Talbot is apologetic to Coulson for the brainstorming he was subjected to and the disruptions is caused. Their conversation is interrupted by the arrival of the Confederacy ship over River's End. Qovas is preparing an attack, causing Coulson to accidentally put the base on lockdown when he selects the option to prepare for a nuclear attack as opposed to an alien invasion.

Qovas' troops, the Remorath scavengers, are still able to teleport into the lighthouse and take off in pursuit of the gravitonium. While Coulson, May, Mack, Fitz, and Deke work to defend the control room, Yo-Yo leaves to retrieve Tablot who wants to make things right for Robin and her mother. Yo-Yo puts him in cuffs and tells him they're a necessary precautionary measure because none of them know if he is fully in control of his actions after the brainwashing he succumbed to.

Yo-Yo brings Talbot to the lab where Simons, Piper, and Davis are guarding the gravitonium. While Yo-Yo, Piper, and David work to clear the halls, Talbot manages to get hold of an ice gun to knock Simmons out. He proceeds to place himself in the particle infusion chamber and absorb the remaining gravitonium. He uses his new powers to rescue the remaining SHIELD agents, before taking off with Coulson to an unknown location.

Meanwhile, Daisy has been following a lead to relocate Robin and Polly with the help of Caine, who provides her with the Centipede serum which was previously used to keep John Garrett alive. However, Caine fails to retrieve an important ingredient, which leads to Daisy digging up her mother's grave.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E18 "All Roads Lead..." Recap

Talbot's brainwashing has been activated and he recites a mantra to himself to complete his mission. He steals a gun and tells himself to be prepared and that no one has to get hurt. While sneaking around, he is caught by Mack and claims that he is just walking around because of all the time he spent being cooped up in captivity.

Fitz and Simmons are still being held captive by Ruby who is forcing them to repair the gravionium weapon.

Daisy and May locate the Blue Raven Ridge base and enter it to apprehend Hale, who is more than willing to surrender after a terrifying encounter with Creel in which he informed her of Quinn and Hall's consciousness being trapped within the gravitonium. Hale reveals how Ruby wants to become the Destroyer of Worlds and is prepared to take them to the facility where she has Fitz and Simmons captive. May and Daisy call Coulson to inform him, Mack, and Deke to tell them what they have learned and how badly Creel has been psychologically effected by being exposed to the gravitonium.

Talbot visits Robin, intent on questioning her about the things she has learned through her visions. Talbot chokes Robin's mother to death while Robin ignores her pleas to find help. Talbot tells Robin she is coming with him and Robin replies that she already knows.

Strucker helps Ruby being the infusion process. She screams in pain as it begins which is heard by Hale, May, and Daisy arrive. Strucker is distraught that Ruby is in pain and Simmons is able to pause the infusion process when Ruby has only taken 8% of the gravitonium into her body. They open the chamber and Ruby levitates out before dropping to the ground. Strucker tries to comfort her and Ruby promises he's not going anywhere but Ruby accidentally crushes Strucker's skull, killing him with new abilities she can't control. Ruby cries out, begging them to get the voices out of her head and she throws Fitz and Simmons against the wall when they tell her there is no way to reverse the process. May helps Fitz and Simmons escape from the room while Ruby continues to cry out in pain.

Coulson and Mack catch up to Talbot, who has Robin in his custody. Coulson tries to make him see that he's been brainwashed so Robin will be safe. Eventually, Coulson and Mack are able to subdue him and get Robin back.

Daisy tries to reason with Ruby and help her get control of her abilities, while Hale also tries to calm her down. Yo-Yo shows up to try to help Daisy, who is intent on not using her powers in the presence of the gravitonium because doing so would risk destroying the world. Ruby wants to take Daisy out but Hale tells her that Daisy is on her side and all she ever wanted was for Ruby to fulfill her potential, apologizing for how wrong everything has gone. When Yo-Yo shows up, she realises that Ruby is the one who took her arms. Daisy tries to reason with Yo-Yo and understand that Ruby is just a kid who needs help but Yo-Yo decides to avenge the loss of her arms and stop an ever-out-of-control Ruby by slicing Ruby's neck with her own chakram. Hale cries as she holds her dying daughter in her arms and then Ruby's dead body begins to levitate. A blast of energy shoots out of her and then Hale escapes before May, Fitz, and Simmons return. Daisy is angry at Yo-Yo for killing Ruby, but Yo-Yo remains sure that she has just saved the world.

Later, Hale is seen visiting the Confederacy ship and informing Qovas that SHIELD has gained possession of the gravitonium and can reveal where they're hiding.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E17 "The Honeymoon" Recap

Fitz, Simmons, and Yo-Yo travel to a Hydra facility in England in an effort to find a lead on the gravitonium weapon.

Coulson and Talbot are making their way through the icy mountains. Talbot feels traumatized and broken from all the torture he has endured but Coulson encourages him to not give up. Ruby chases after them but Daisy arrives and uses her powers to knock Ruby back. May and Deke help escort them back while Daisy fights Ruby. Deke watches them fight while hidden behind some trees and tries to offer her some support with gunfire but he ends up shot by Hale and her men. Daisy is forced to help Deke get away as the SHIELD team makes their escape on their ship.

Fitz, Simmons, and Yo-Yo manage to break into the facility and discover the particle infusion chamber they have been searching for. Fitz damages one of the components to render it useless while Yo-Yo reveals that in talking with her future self she learned that they are supposed to let Coulson die.

Deke is brought back to the Lighthouse where Mack and Piper are able to operate on him and save him from succumbing to his wounds. May confronts Coulson about his recent actions, which she sees as reckless. She also admits her romantic feelings for him in the process.

Ruby is furious at her mother for her attitude and controlling nature. Strucker continues to conspire with her and eventually Ruby decides to rebel against her mother's wishes and lock Hale in her cell. Ruby resumes control over the operation while working with Strucker.

Fitz, Simmons, and Yo-Yo find themselves trapped in a room while robot soldiers try to break in and attack. Yo-Yo is struggling with her new robotic arms so while Fitz and Simmons shoot at the soldiers, she tries to find an escape route in order to call for backup. But on the way out Yo-Yo encounters Ivanov and the two are forced to battle. She is able to beat him and upon discovering that his body is linked to all the robot, she is able to use this link to disable them. Unfortunately, Ruby and Strucker arrive on the scene and take Fitz and Simmons captive in order for them to fix the infusion chamber.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E16 "Inside Voices" Recap

Hale has Coulson placed into isolation for his refusal to cooperate with her wishes. Hale orders Creel to attempt to absorb the gravitonium and upon being exposed to it he sees flashes of Franklin Hall. He realises that the gravitonium is alive upon being separated from it.

Fitz struggles to come to terms with Deke being his and Simmons' grandson. Deke visits him in his holding cell and says that he understands why he made such a powerfully violent move against Daisy, who has become increasingly tough and no-nonsense since the traumatic encounter. Simmons talks with Deke once more and is reassured that she and Fitz will at least live long enough to get to the Lighthouse and have a child.

Simmons and Daisy disagree on whether or not to release Fitz from his holding cell. Daisy will be leaving on a long mission to try to find Coulson. Yo-yo agrees to team up with Simmons to try to get Fitz out but they will have to get past Mack, who is the one left in charge while Daisy is away and under strict orders not to let Fitz out.

Creel struggles with the turmoil and anguish from being exposed to the gravitonium so he visits Coulson in order to team up to break out. They also team up with Talbot, whose mental state is highly shaken after the extensive torture Hale has ordered on him.

Daisy and May find Robin, who is still a child in this year, and hasn't been drawing her visions ever since she saw her own death in the future. When she sees May again, she resumes drawing since she has had visions of May being an adopted mother of her. One of her drawings shows Coulson and Talbot located up in the mountains where they're being kept.

Back at the Lighthouse, Simmons and Yo-yo come up with a plan to trick Mack into releasing Fitz and locking him up in the cell in his place. They are certain that they need Fitz's intellect in order to pursue leads on Hydra's gravitonium-powered weapon.

As Creel, Coulson, and Talbot being their escape, Hale orders Ruby to go after them with strict orders that Creel needs to stay alive. While Coulson is making his escape, he collapses and Creel has to use his abilities to shock his chest to restart his heart. As the trio are preparing to make their escape, Ruby and some cyborg-soldiers catch up to them and begin to open fire under Ruby's orders. Ruby continues to pursue them and eventually Creel volunteers to stay behind and fight Ruby off which gives Coulson and Talbot the means to escape by using the Confederacy's teleportation device. Ruby declares that she is the Destroyer of Worlds, much to Hale's satisfaction. Hale then tells her to go after Coulson and Talbot.

A flashback to four years ago shows that Raina had tricked Ian Quinn into being absorbed by the gravitonium.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E15 "Rise and Shine" Recap

Hale begins to tell Coulson her story, believing that by doing so he will finally understand why it's time for SHIELD and Hydra to unite. 28 years ago, Hale was a student in Hydra's cadet academy. She is hot-tempered and even punches a young Strucker in the face when he antagonises her. Daniel Whitehall assigned Hale to infiltrate the U.S. Air Force and to be impregnated via in vitro fertilization with Ruby as Hydra's next leader once the perfect specimen has been perfected.

In the present, once General Talbot woke from his coma Hale had him transferred into her custody. She tries to convince him to release Hydra contraband but to no avail. There is an alien alliance known as the Confederacy that had made contact with Hydra and struck a deal to protect Earth from an impending invasion. But Hale plans on betraying the alliance by using Whitehall's particle-infusion chamber and gravitonium to create a Destroyer of Worlds.

As Hale relays all of this information to Coulson, she proposes that Daisy can be this destroyer of worlds despite the original intention being for Ruby to take on this role. This causes Coulson to reject Hale's offer and speaks about the trip they took to the future. Hale doesn't believe his claims of time-travelling.

The rest of the team is still at the Lighthouse and are able to determine where Hale has Coulson held captive and what it is she is trying to do. As Daisy had been left in charge of the team while Coulson was away, she continues to not distrust Fitz and heads off on her own to find Robin.

Simmons tells Fitz about Deke being their grandson and pushes him to see that this is proof that they will make it out of this dark period despite the odds being stacked against them.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E14 "The Devil Complex" Recap

Simmons is attacked by the manifestation of an astronaut, which forces Fitz to push even harder on his work to seal the rift. However, the biggest challenge for him is that he needs to find a way to compress the gravitonium. The next manifestation to emerge from the rift is Fitz's Framework alter ego, also known as The Doctor.

Back on the Zephyr, Coulson, May, and Agent Piper are able to orchestrate a plan in which they capture General Hale. She is interrogated and apologises for Yo-Yo losing her arms, admitting that this wasn't part of the plan.

When Fitz encounters his alter ego, The Doctor taunts him by nitpicking at his insecurities regarding being able to close the rift.

Through further questioning, it's revealed that General Hale was always prepared to be captured if it were ever to happen. She has explosives strapped to Creel that she is prepared to detonate if SHIELD doesn't follow her demands. Anton Ivanov arrives at the Zephyr and Coulson agrees to accompany them, though May doesn't trust the situation.

Simmons, Mack, and Yo-Yo must fight off an attack from one of the robots that Mack brought back from Principia.

Daisy is working on some maintenance due to the many technical malfunctions happening because of the rift. But she is knocked out by another robot and wakes to find The Doctor trying to operate on her, having restrained her too. He wants to remove the inhibitor that keeps her powers under control. Fitz bursts in and asks what The Doctor is doing. The Doctor replies that he is doing what needs to be done. Fitz argues with The Doctor and it's then that Simmons bursts in and finds Fitz trying to operate on Daisy. She realises that The Doctor was a projection of Fitz's inner turmoil about trying to close the rift. He had reprogrammed the robots in order to isolate Daisy so that her powers could be used to compress the gravitonium and seal the rift once and for all. Simmons is forced to stay out of the way by the reprogrammed robots while Fitz works, saying The Doctor knew that there were always risks. Daisy swears that she will never forgive Fitz for what he has done. Once the rift is closed, he surrenders himself to be disciplined for the measures he took.

Fitz and Simmons speak in private, with him admitting that the traces of The Doctor were always there after they left the Framework but it was only more recently that he began to see him. Simmons tries to claim that The Doctor wasn't him but Fitz is insistent that it was him doing all the evil of the Framework. He doesn't believe he deserves forgiveness for what he has done. It's unclear if Fitz and Simmons' relationship will survive, and Simmons is emotionally shaken by the recent events. Deke comforts her and takes the opportunity to reveal that he is her grandson.

Hale speaks to her mysterious benefactor, Qovas, who gifts her a vial of odium and reminds her that she has sworn allegiance to Hydra..

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E13 "Principia" Recap

Yo-Yo struggles to come to terms with the fact that she'll have to get robotic replacement arms though the other team members do their best to reassure her and Mack says that her heart and soul are the same regardless of the change.

The rift has begun to reopen so Fitz sends the team out to search for more gravitonium to try to close it once more. They follow a lead to Baton Rouge that sees Mack reunited with an old school mate named Tony Caine. Tony has been working to help scientists find their way back to a righteous line of work after being coerced into working for Hydra. His aim is to recruit them into Cybertek Industries. Tony says that the gravitonium supply was being transported on the Principia, a Cybertek ship that has since gone missing.

Meanwhile, General Hale is continuing to work on forming a team that will help her to fulfill her goals. Her next step in this process is to bring Werner von Strucker to the base. His memory has been enhanced by SHIELD reviving him from a vegetative state. Strucker is largely hostile to the idea and turns down Hale's offer. But after some conversations with Ruby, he decides to stay.

Deke determines that the gravitonium may have been activated by the lightning storm which is what caused the Principia to go into the sky. The team follows this lead and are able to track down the Principia suspended in the sky. Most of the gravitonium is gone already, with only a small supply left to sustain the ship as it is. Mack gathers what's left of the gravitonium as a group of Hale's robotic soldiers attacks the team. They are all able to get away and off the ship before it falls back to the Earth's surface.

Deke overhears a saying his mother used to always say in a conversation between Simmons and Yo-Yo, leading him to realise that Fitz and Simmons are his grandparents.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E12 "The Real Deal" Recap

Fitz determines that the destruction of three monoliths caused by the beacon's explosion has created a dimensional rift. Daisy might not be the one responsible for the destruction of their world but unfortunately, the end of the world may have already begun. Fitz decides that the best course of action is to use gravitonium to create a device that should hopefully seal the rift. Meanwhile, the team learns that Coulson is dying rapidly as part of his deal with Ghost Rider. Coulson wants to volunteer to deliver the device, since Ghost Rider had burned off the life-sustaining GH.325 drug that had previously brought him back from death. Daisy is particularly distraught at Coulson keeping such a significant secret.

The team has no choice but to accelerate their plan when a Simmons LMD tries to kill Yo-Yo in her bed. This is a result of the rift expanding rapidly. Coulson sends Deke to the surface so he can call for back-up but actually intends to go alone to try to seal the rift. As he approaches it he encounters a manifestation of Mike Peterson who claims that all of Coulson's recent experiences are just a dream and that he is actually dying on an operating table after the Battle of New York. Despite the difficulties, Coulson is able to overcome his fears and is saved by the real Peterson who arrives after responding to Deke's summons for help along with many other SHIELD agents.

Coulson and Peterson are able to fight off manifestations of Vrellnexians, Lash, and Hive, together and then successfully contain the rift. Following the completion of the mission the team organises a wedding ceremony for Fitz and Simmons.

Meanwhile, General Hale is still searching for the team. She follows leads of sightings of Daisy and eventually finds evidences that Deke is related to Fitz and Simmons.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E11 "All the Comforts of Home" Recap

The team successfully makes it back to their time. They are still in the Lighthouse but the year is the correct one. Upon arriving they meet Noah, Enoch's successor. Noah has been monitoring the world from the Lighthouse while the team were away in the future. During that time, the team became the most wanted individuals by any and every member of law enforcement. Coulson, May, Fitz, Simmons,Mack, and Yo-Yo head out to investigate a beacon emitting from Earth that matches what Voss said would be one of the first signs of the end of the world.

Daisy stays behind, as she is reluctant to join the team. While using Noah's computer she discovers that Deke has survived the explosion and ended up in their time. The first thing he does is enjoy alcohol, food, and television in a nearby bar to where he first appeared. When he is unable to pay his tab and passes out drunk, he is arrested. Daisy is forced to come out of hiding long enough to impersonate a government agent to rescue Deke from holding to try to keep the team from being exposed.

The rest of the team find the beacon and determine it is similar to the one used to summon the Kree in the future. They head to another base where they are reunited with Agent Piper, who is later revealed to be working for General Hale. Hale has been determined to track the team down and the beacon was just a rouse to lure them out of hiding. Piper had struck a deal to secure her own freedom. Hale's robotic soldiers arrive at the base lead by an assassin prepared to take the team out. Yo-Yo uses her powers to disarm the fighters of their guns and a fight breaks out. Piper believed that Hale would just bring the team in instead of trying to kill them. Piper decides to help the team get away by covering them while Yo-Yo and Mack are fighting off the robots. Yo-Yo ends up having both of her arms cut off to prevent the assassin from killing Mack with their chakram. Mack wraps her tightly in a blanket and helps carry her out as everyone gets away.

Piper leaves with the team and they all retreat back to the Lighthouse with the beacon. Simmons operates on Yo-Yo to save her life. Meanwhile, the assassin returns to General Hale. Hale berates her for her failure. The assassin is Hale's daughter Ruby, who says she wanted Daisy Johnson and reminds Hale that she promised her Daisy. Hale calls Ruby a disappointment and says that at least the beacon they took will do the job it's supposed to. The beacon is revealed to be an explosive device and Noah sacrifices himself to its explosion in order to save Daisy and Fitz.

In Philadelphia, General Hale recruits Carl Creel to join her team and he does so, albeit reluctantly.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E10 "Past Life" Recap

Kasius mourns the loss of Sinatra on the Zephyr, while the team onboard are formulating a plan to get to Flint and rescue all the imprisoned Inhumans. Kasius infects Tye, the trainer of Inhumans, with an ominous substance that triggers maniacal behaviour. Kasius then orders him to go after the team to stop them from going through with their plans to return to the past. Daisy fights him off and is seemingly able to stop him, but later Coulson is shown to be infected from the same substance.

Kasius' seer is finally revealed, and it's a version of Yo-Yo from the future that has lived through the time loop and consequently suffered tremendous torture. The current Yo-Yo meets her and is shocked by the revelation. Future Yo-Yo says that the team returning to the past will be the very thing that brings about the destruction of their world and the only way to stop it is to allow Coulson to succumb to his infection.

Flint follows Simmons' instruction in order to recreate the monolith while Mack heads out to find Yo-Yo. Ultimately, Mack witnesses Kasius kill the future Yo-Yo, after which Kasius consumes the remaining odium and attacks Mack. A fight ensues and eventually Simmons is able to intervene and help Mack kills Kasius. Mack is overjoyed to reunite with the present Yo-Yo, who is still alive.

Deke returns to the Zephyr just in time to save Enoch and fix the machine, though it appears as though both have been sacrificed as the price for the team being able to return to the present.

Kasius is shocked to learn that the humans he banished are still alive. Back on earth, the gravity storm is worsening and the team is attempting to relaunch the Zephyr. May relays the information she learned, which is that the shard can be used by Flint in order to recreate the monolith that will allow them to travel back through time to where they came from. Fitz and Simmons realise that the design is similar to the Lighthouse which means that they themselves made it in the past after they've returned to it.

Back on the space station, Flint, Mack, and Yo-Yo regain control of the lower levels. They discover Tess and others that had seemingly died. Tess declares that Kasius was the one to resurrect them and is a god they must serve. She relays his demands and threatens to detonate some explosive if they do not agree to his terms. Mack and Yo-Yo do not want to give in so they move the explosives to Level 35, the medical floor, so if they are detonated Kasius will no longer be able to use it to breed more Inhumans.

The team on the space station has a standoff with Kasius. Flint evacuates the inhabitants to the upper levels and sets off the remaining explosives to separate them from the lower levels, which keeps them separate from Kasius.

May uses the gravity storm to her advantage and navigates the Zephyr into space while Daisy fights Sinara. Their fight ends with Dasiy winning by killing Sinara. Daisy manages to contact Mack while the team heads for the Lighthouse. Finally, Kasius reveals that he has his own seer that is telling him what will happen.

Voss then tries to kill Daisy and stabs Robin to try to stop her from giving the team the answers they are after. In her dying moments, Robin is comforted by May. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E06 "Fun & Games" Recap

The Kree are making preparations to set forth an unschedule Terrigenesis ceremony to put many children through the process to hasten making the profits for Kasius to get away. Fitz finds a moment alone to speak to Gemma and tries to propose marriage but she can't hear him because of the implant Kasius has put in. When Kasius comes over, he explain to Fitz about the implant. Fitz convinces him to make her able to hear the guests so she can better serve them.

A boy named Flint who is a friend of Tess is put into Terrigenesis and successfully survives the process.

Fitz has dinner with Kasius and the other bidders, during which he impresses Kasius by being a strong and intimidating character.

The team helps Tess sneak Flint into hiding to prevent him from being sold off the base with the other Inhumans.

The first exhibition is held for the bidders, with May being an addition to the lineup despite not being an Inhuman. She still has her leg injury but remains a formidable fighter against Ben. Fitz subtly questions Kasius during the exhibition to learn more about his motives, including his trying to prove himself to his father. In the end, Ben is on the verge of winning the fight but May is still alive. Fitz, trying to save May, suggests that May simply be sent to the surface so they can get on to the main event of seeing 'The Destroyer' (Daisy) display her powers. Kasius agrees and May is escorted away by guards.

Tess is questioned in regards to Flint's disappearance by one of Kasius' men. He warns her there will be consequences if she is keeping things from him. Flint is wondering what his powers are, as they have yet to reveal themselves. Yo-Yo advises him on the process of getting new powers but the group is overheard and caught by Grill, who intends to turn them over to Kasius.

Ben is killed for lying during Daisy's interrogation, during which he claimed that Simmons was the only one that travelled through time with Daisy. Gemma meets privately with Daisy and assures her that Ben's death wasn't her fault. They work to form a plan of escape.

The team tries to reason with Grill, saying how they are there from the past to save the world but he doesn't believe in the prophecy, only profit. Flint saves the others from dying using geokinesis, his new power that has manifested. He is able to kill Grill before he can kill him or any of the team members.

Fitz is informed that Kasius' brother has arrived, which poses a problem as he's a more feared and more wealthy bidder than Fitz's alias. Faulnak is only there because their father ordered him to come. Faulnak declares that the only acceptable course of action is for Sinara to fight Daisy in the exhibition to the death.

Tess is hanged and killed as punishment for Flint's disappearance.

The battle ensues between Daisy and Sinara. It's an impressive display of skills but through a coordinated effort between Daisy, Fitz, and Simmons, they are able to to subdue the others and begin their escape.

Right after the rest of the group was taken from the diner, military law enforcement arrive and arrest Fitz. He is questioned on where they disappeared to, Daisy's apparent role in the assassination attempt on General Talbot and the deaths of Jeffrey Mace and Holden Radcliffe. As Fitz doesn't know where the others disappeared to, he has no information to give them. They hold him captive for six months, as Fitz offers to help them try to track down the other team members but is unsuccessful in doing so.

Lance Hunter arrives pretending to be a lawyer and breaks Fitz out. They track down a sentient alien man named Enoch who was in charge of the party that took the others. He tells Fitz and Hunter about a prophecy that foretold the events that have since transpired and points them in the direction of meeting a child named Robin. Robin is the daughter of Charles from a previous episode ("Spacetime") that has the ability to see the future and communicates it through drawings.

The military leaders track down the group while they're meeting Robin at the park but Enoch uses his alien technology to helps them escape. They head to a secret bunker where they can remain hidden and Robin informs Fitz that the reason he was left behind was because he needed to save the rest of the team that was sent into the future first.

Hunter helps Fitz break back into the military facility so they can steal a cryogenic pod. Fitz decides that he will go to sleep in it for 74 years so he can save the team and Enoch agrees to keep his pod protected in orbit in space until it's time to wake up. Fitz and Hunter say their goodbyes and Hunter tells Fitz he loves him right as he's being frozen.

74 years later, Enoch wakes Fitz. They are in space 365 million lightyears away from the Lighthouse. Enoch informs Fitz he's had time to put a plan together while he was asleep. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E04 "A Life Earned" Recap

Kasius interrogates Daisy, wanting to know if she came alone. She claims there is no one else besides Simmons but he is skeptical on whether to believe her. He threatens to hurt Simmons if she doesn't stay cooperative and takes a sample of her blood. She later meets Ben, another champion Kasius has held captive. Ben in an Inhuman with telepathic abilities. Daisy is put into the pit and instructed to show her abilities so she knocks the guard back that was instructing her to do so. Kasius' guest is impressed but Kasius doesn't intend to sell Daisy to her for the insults she gave earlier to the station.

Kasius pays Ben for bringing Daisy to him with a quarter. Ben is please, as the metal from it is considered highly valuable. They speak about a prophecy that Kasius anyone who knows anything about, Kasius has killed. Deke agrees to try to find information for him on it.

Daisy tries to get Ben to work with her but he only wants to play by the rules, as his family will be compensated if he is sold and have a better chance at surviving as a result. He assures her that if they are ordered to fight each other, he will try to win.

Coulson and May question Deke about Daisy's whereabouts. He lies about where she is. They also want to investigate the surface and also want to know about the mysterious Level 35. Deke believes it's too dangerous but Coulson presents proof that Virgil was communicating with someone on the surface. Deke is shocked by this revelation but agrees to help find these people.

Kasius orders Ben to come in while he questions Daisy and Simmons about their stories, with Ben being told to corroborate their story. Daisy claims it's just her and Simmons that came through time. She tells the truth with the exception of there being anyone else present. Their stories match up perfectly and Ben tells Kasius they are telling the truth. Daisy is shocked that their false stories matched, since Simmons is not able to hear anyone but Kasius, but keeps quiet on the matter. Kasius excuses everyone despite still being suspicious of their stories.

Ben later reveals that his power isn't just to read other people's minds but he can also let others read his mind. So he let Simmons read his mind so her story would match Daisy's. The people holding him captive don't know he has this particular ability. He shares with Daiy how he was able to read Kasius' mind and has learned that he hates the station and wants to destroy it and everyone else on it once he has gathered enough money to leave first.

Deke helps sneak Coulson and May up to the restricted level 35. Upon going through what's there they discover a baby and determine that Kasius intends to breed Inhumans.

Grill sends Mack and Yoyo to get payment from someone that owes him money. Mack is overcome with guilt when learning the man has a secret child. The population is revealed to be strictly controlled so few people can get pregnant the old-fashioned way. Kasius tries to breed and control the population and increase the likelihood of Inhumans to be sold off. May discovers that Daisy is in captivity and that Deke lied about where she is. Deke is forced to admit that he sold Daisy out but when he's trying to better explain what he is up to, they are interrupted by guards. A fight ensues and Deke is stabbed. Coulson leaves with him, intending to question him, while May has to stay and fight Sinara. Coulson is concerned about May, as she had a leg injury and doesn't believe she has recovered fully.

Deke tells Coulson he did what needed to be done but Coulson doesn't believe his motives are pure. He thinks Deke is only out for profit but Deke breaks down saying his mother was murdered by Kasius when he was nine. His father picked up the torch and as a result, was sent to the surface of the planet. Now he wants to find his father, having recognised his voice from the recording from the surface. Deke gives up the payment he received from Kasius to pay off the other man's debt and earn some trust back, but the team still locks him in a holding room to keep him from interfering with their plans.

Finally, more buyers arrive to bid on Daisy and see her powers. One of the buyers is revealed to be Fitz.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E03 "A Life Spent" Recap

Kasius is stressed by the news of an important figurehead named Lady Basha who will be visiting the ship. He tells Simmons he has an important task for her and she is escorted to a room where a young girl, Abbie, is being held. When Simmons is left alone with her she discovers the girl is Inhuman and needs help to control her abilities in time for an important ceremony. Simmons determines that Abbie's ability is that she can manipulate her molecular density but can't control it.

The other team members are working hard to adapt to their roles of manual labour while Coluson is trying to decode Virgil's notebook. Grill is suspicious of the new arrivals and sends one of his men to go after them. When the team is all alone and about to go on a run, they determine that there is a particular location they need to reach but Grill's man insists on coming along with them on the run.

Daisy is skeptical of the theory of her being the one to tear the world apart as her abilities aren't strong enough to do something of that magnitude. She is alarmed when she learns about the Renewal but is assured that her loves ones have survived.

On the space expedition, May and Coulson discuss their predicament. Coulson is skeptical of there being a way to get back to their original time but May is determined that they will find a way home. Coulson, May, Mack, and Tess discover a radio transmitter that Virgil was using to communicate with someone. Grill's spy activates their devices that latch them to the wall but May uses their secure state to lurch the ship. Mack intervenes to fight off the spy and break the device and free them. The spy is knocked out and Tess is alarmed, saying that they are all dead for attacking a superior.

Yo-Yo sabotages her monitoring device so that while it is removed to be worked on she can use her ability to get a Kree tablet to Daisy but return back before anyone can realise she was gone. Daisy is determined to use it to rescues Simmons from captivity.

Simmons successfully coaches Abbie to better control her ability but is alarmed when Abbie is escorted away, not being able to get a more adequate amount of time to coach her. Kasius is skeptical of his second-in-command, wondering if she was trying to set Simmons up to fail but determines that she does in fact want Kasius to be happy. He asks her what makes Simmons so different and his subordinate responds, "Compassion."

Deke is angry at Daisy for what he considers to be reckless behaviour in trying to go after the blue people. She is forced to use her powers to keep him away from her and warns him not to ever call her "Quake, destroyer of worlds" again.

Tess proposes they send Grill's spy out into space, believing it to be the only way but Mack doesn't want them to resort to what he considers needless murder. When the ship nears the remains of Earth, they are shocked to pick up on a live signal coming from its surface. This would indicate survivors.

Lady Basha arrives to the ship and the ceremony takes place. Simmons is alarmed when Abbie is put into a combat fight against one of Lady Basha's large fighters. Kasius and Lady Basha watch surrounded by their servants. Simmons is emotional watching Abbie be beaten. Abbie looks up to Simmons who reminds her of her earlier advice which gives her the focus needed become dense enough that the fighter breaks his hand when trying to punch her in the chest. Abbie begs the man to leave her alone but when he charges, her hand phases into his chest and when she re-strengthens, he dies from having an object penetrate his chest. Lady Basha is impressed and Kasius sells Abbie to her. Simmons is horrified at this turn of events.

The team returns from space and frames Grill's spy to be a traitor. Grill turns on him and reports him to the higher authorities so he's exiled to die on Earth. They later revisit their radio transmitter and realise there is a party on Earth somehow even though no one is supposed to be able to survive on the surface.

Daisy gets caught on her way in and fights off her attackers but is eventually captured due to Deke betraying her by warning Kasius, who is surprised to find that the infamous Quake is somehow still alive and present on the ship but decides to make her his new champion to likely sell off to the highest bidder.
