Modern Family's Phil Dunphy Takes Over the Santa Monica Pier

You read that right. For one day only - Tuesday, 9/24 - Phil's bench ad will be available for your sitting and viewing pleasure at the Santa Monica Pier in celebration of "Modern Family: Season Four's" arrival on Blu-ray/DVD.  This weekend, "Modern Family" won an Emmy for Best Comedy Series, for the fourth consecutive year. Go Phil!

WHO: Last night at the Emmy's, "Modern Family" was named best comedy series for the fourth consecutive year. Season 4 will be released on Blu-ray and DVD tomorrow, September 24, courtesy of 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

WHAT: In celebration of the Modern Family: Season 4 Blu-ray/DVD release on September 24, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment brought to life a fun element from Season 4 - Phil's bus bench ads! Currently, there 245 Phil benches in Los Angeles County not including the one that will be on display in Santa Monica. 

WHERE:  The Modern Family area at the Santa Monica Pier. It will be located west of the Playland Arcade and before the police station.

The area will include a bench as well as Claire and Phil Dunphy cut outs so that fans can take and share pictures of themselves on release date!

WHEN: Tuesday, September 24 from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

WHY: Fan reaction to the soft launch has been fantastic and largely word of mouth. A quick search of  #ninjainablazer on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram shows fans having fun with the bench. 

In addition to the benches, Fox has also created a fun Twitter sweeps asking fans to post fun pictures of themselves sitting on a bench. If you tweet one picture to @FoxHomeEnt using the hashtag #ninjainablazer, you will have a chance to win prizes.  The sweeps begins Monday, September 23 and ends September 30.
