Wynonna Earp S03E12 "War Paint" Recap

Wynonna gives her new army of revenants a pep talk. She admits that she's loved killing them and that it's the only thing she was ever good at. But now she's willing to share her land with them so they can battle together to defeat Bulshar. She brings them onto her once-protected land so they can first drink together before battle.

Meanwhile, Bulshar is at the stairs with his soldiers. He turns Peacemaker into a sword and inserts it into a crevice in the stairs and gets one of his soldiers to enter the Garden. Moments after he entered, his head rolls out. Bulshar notes that the soldier wasn't righteous or mortal, and neither is he yet. He orders his soldiers to kill everyone and Bobo to bring him Earp blood.

Waverly reunites with Wynonna at the Homestead. She's surprised to learn about the new revenant army but not as surprised as Wynonna upon learning that Charlie is actually Julian, Waverly's father. She even observes him spread his wings.

Jeremy is still trying to crack the science that will beat Bulshar and Robin assures him that he can do this. Jeremy tries to come up with anti-venom of sorts but then he gets a vision that Doc is in trouble which prompts him to kick things into high-gear.

Wynonna is still reeling from the revelation that she had been hooking up with Waverly's father, noting that their mother won't be happy about this. But Waverly reminds her that their mother isn't there with them and also breaks the news that Doc has developed a ravenous hunger fo angel blood. Wynonna notes that she'll need to find Doc anyway and Waverly agrees but first she'll need to find Nicole.

Nicole is still with Kate who is on the mend after Doc shot her. Kate reads the tarot cards and tells her that Waverly is with Wynonna and also that Waverly is not 'with' Charlie, but 'of' him. But their train of thought gets interrupted by the arrival of Bulshar's soldiers. Kate and Nicole fight them off and manage to kill them but not without Nicole getting injured. Mercedes then enters the house and agrees to look after Kate while Nicole while go find others to help the Earps in the fight against Bulshar.

Jeremy finally hits a breakthrough, believing he has figured out the anti-venom. He's not quite as excited as he could be, since there's still an approximate four months worth of work left to actually make it. But it's then that Bulshar's soldiers arrive and surround him and Robin. However, Sheriff Nedley then enters with an even bigger and gun and tells the boys to duck before firing off on the soldiers.

Nicole stumbles down the road trying to find Waverly but her injuries become too much. She collapses and is found by Doc.

Wynonna approaches Julian, who now has regained all his memories and professes how much he loved Wynonna's mother. But their conversation is interrupted by Doc, who has brought Nicole along to get help. Wynonna and Julian work on helping her in the barn while Doc observes.

Waverly is in the house leaving Nicole a voicemail. When she enters the room she is met by Bobo. She asks if he will help them but Bobo says that even if he wanted to he is of Bulshar now, coughing up dirt to demonstrate this fact. He asks her to set him free when the time comes, as the two always had a special connection.

Julian tells Wynonna he can fix Nicole but there will be a price to pay; there always is. He helps Nicole when Wynonna tells her she's the love of Waverly's life. Julian leaves to find Waverly and on the way out of the barn he encounters Doc, who no longer seems fixated on feeding on angel blood. Doc gives him the sword he found in the angel statue. Julian says he lost it a long time ago and that if Doc's soul was truly compromised he wouldn't have been able to hold it.

Nedley has defeated the soldiers and Jeremy has yet another epiphany about how to create something that will help in the fight against Bulshar without having to take four months to do it.

Julian enters Waverly's room and sees her sitting with Bobo. He offers to end Bobo's life but Bobo says he's already chosen his exit strategy and leaves father and daughter to talk. Julian tells Waverly that Nicole is safe and she is upset since she didn't even know Nicole was injured. But Julian stops her and explains that healing Nicole took all of his power. He gives her back the ring and says she needs it now more than he does. Then more noises sound, signaling that Bulshar and his soldiers have arrived at the Homestead.

Waverly tries to run towards Wynonna who is fighting alongside Doc and the revenants. But Julian stops her as a series of grenades rains down on them. The revenants distract the soldiers' gunfire so Wynoonna can run to the house to get some "real" guns. Waverly and Julian toss her a rifle while Doc runs to the barn to protect Nicole. She is afraid of him but he promises not to hurt her, and begins to shoot the soldiers as they raid the barn.

Waverly, Wynonna, and Julian shoot at soldiers from the house but Bobo sneaks up from behind and drags Wynonna out to Bulshar. His soldiers hold her down while Bulshar nicks her hand to get some blood. Another soldier approaches Wynonna with a chaindsaw but Julian kills him before he can harm her. Bulshar recognises Julian who tells him not to enter the Garden. When Bulshar notices that he doesn't have his ring he uses some magic to force him to his knees while Bobo stabs him with the sword Bulshar made from Peacemaker. Bobo charges Wynonna with the sword but Doc starts shooting at him from behind. Bobo says that mortal weapons won't kill him so Waverly uses her ring power to kill him instead, saying he could've been better and free. Bobo thanks her in his dying moments.

In the woods, Bulshar throws something into a fire formed from skulls. Wynonna and the other revenants run towards him but the revenants disappear. Wynonna attempts to tackle Bulshar but he disappears. Wynonna then lies shaken in the snow and Waverly runs over to her asking what's wrong. Wynonna says that she can feel that Bulshar broke the Earp curse.

They return to the Homestead where Waverly sits with her father's body and says that she tried to wake him up but the ring won't wake him anymore. She explains everything else that's going on to Robin and Jeremy. Jeremy pulls out a vial of something he's been working on that'll give them a fighting chance.

Doc is in the barn, saddened by the recent events and his own actions. Wynonna shows up and he apologises to her for Charlie. She says he was the love of her mother's life and died to save Waverly. Wynonna goes on to say how Bulshar used her blood to break the curse because he needs to be mortal to enter the Garden. She could've killed him with her touch when they were linked by the curse. So now that they are unlinked he is vulnerable in a new way. Doc admits he's done terrible things but is willing to fight to the end for her. Wynonna kisses him and uses the distraction to handcuff him to a ladder. She can't trust him after everything he's done. He points out that handcuffs won't keep him trapped but she explains that the rope soaked in holy water that she's surrounded him with will.

Nicole and Waverly talk on the porch. Nicole comforts Waverly about the death of Julian and Waverly proposes to her with Julian's ring but before they can discuss the matter further Wynonna calls them inside to plan their final hurrah.

Jeremy explains to the team that he's made a crypsis. If they dab it on themselves Bulshar's soldier's won't be able to detect them. Then they can sneak up on Bulshar and take him out once and for all. Wynonna offers them a chance to leave but they all say they're going with her. However, Wynonna refuses to lose any other loved ones and Nicole, Jeremy, and Robin pass out because Wynonna drugged the drinks she gave them.

Wynonna takes the crypsis and heads to the woods. Waverly chases after her, furious at her for drugging the drinks and saying she didn't drink any. Wynonna tells her she didn't drug her drink as she believes they are the backups for Julian and his fellow angel guardian of the Garden. They put on the crypts and head to the stairs which Wynonna still can't see. Wynonna attacks Bulshar who has begun to turn into a snake. However, he manages to evade her attack. Bulshar taunts Wynonna that only a hero can wield the sword against a demon. Waverly says that only an angel can name a hero, something her father taught her before Bulshar killed him. Waverly names Wynonna as a hero and tosses her the sword. Now Wynonna can see the stairs and the sword lights in blue flames. Bulshar tries to taunt Wynonna further but she attacks with all the fury.

Waverly realises that she can't get off the stairs to the Garden. Wynonna and Bulshar fight and as Wynonna is beating him he proposes that they enter the Garden together and rule as one. Wynonna stabs him in the heart and he turns into a full-blown snake and bites her. Bulshars bursts into yellow flames and Wynonna collapses. Waverly is distraught at still being trapped on the stairs, unable to help Wynonna.

Doc runs up and sucks Wynonna's blood and spits out the poison. Her life is saved. The door to the Garden opens and a strange branch emerges that twists around Waverly and pulls her into the Garden. Wynonna can't break past the invisible barrier blocking the stairs. The doors close after Waverly is pulled inside. Doc and Wynonna hear a deafening sound and after it stops Doc removes his gun belt and approaches the stairs. Wynonna says he can't go in because he's not mortal but he manages to walk through the barrier anyway. He tells Wynona she is the Guardian and the only one who can wield the flaming sword. He enters the Garden to find Waverly.

Wynonna returns to the Homestead and finds it empty. Nicole, Jeremy, and Robin, and everyone else are gone. The only thing left is a word scratched on the wall: Valdez. She walks through town and find it deserted. She heads to Doc's bar and finally finds someone left: Sheriff Nedley. He tells her everyone in Purgatory has disappeared except for them. Wynonna says something in the Garden was trying to come through to get all the people. Nedley asks if the people are still alive in there and Wynonna says they are. They decide to team up to get them back.

Wynonna Earp will return to Syfy for season 4 in 2019.

Wynonna Earp S03E11 "Daddy Lessons" Recap

Waverly and Nicole ponder how to break the bad news to Wynonna that Doc murdered Charlie. After Nicole leaves the morgue, Waverly lays her hand on Charlie's neck and he is resurrected. Waverly runs out shocked by this dramatic turn.

Wynonna looks at a photo of Dolls and wonders what she should do next to stop Bulshar.

Nicole and Robin, who is acting as an emergency deputy, have teamed up to get the Purgatory civilians out of town. Even the wildlife is fleeing for sensing what's going on. Wynonna arrive and says she can't find Waverly. When Nicole can't give her any clues as to Waverly's location, Wynonna takes off in search of her sister. She finds Waverly in the woods by the stairs and when Waverly refuses to leave, she knocks her out and drives her off to safety. She tells Nicole about what she had to do and how Waverly didn't even know how she got to the stairs. She wants Nicole to get her out of town but Nicole doesn't think she could force her to do anything she didn't want to. The conversation is interrupted by the arrival of Charlie. Nicole is shocked to see him alive but doesn't tell Wynonna about his death. They get Charlie to help get Waverly out of town.

Kate heads to Doc's bar where he has two humans he's brainwashed into becoming compliant to his desires. Kate is intrigued at this change in Doc and how he has fully embraced his vampire nature. He doesn't want to think about Wynonna or any real sense of morality. He proposes they drain the humans and indulge in their most carnal desires.

Bobo is still locked up in a glass cage at the Sheriff's station. When a gang of revenants show up, they are shocked to find him there. He tries to get them to let him out but they merely take the keys for themselves and raid the Sheriff's gun stash. When the revenants head outside they find Wynonna loading up her truck with her own supply of weapons. They're more willing to confront her since Bobo told them that she doesn't have Peacemaker anymore. She tries to shoot them with a different guy but it's not loaded so they take her captive with the intention of giving her up to Bulshar. The revenants tie her up and try to glam her up in anticipation of surrendering her to Bulshar. Wynonna tries and fails to reason with them to reconsider.

Charlie brings Waverly to her mother's greenhouse, believing it will be a safe place for them to wait until the fog dissipates. When he stares at a statue of an angel, Waverly asks what he sees but he dismisses this. He ties her up to try to keep her from following this compulsion to stop Bulshar by sacrificing herself at the stairs. Waverly asks Charlie more about himself and only beings to share once she reminds him they have plenty of time. He can't remember anything before he walked into Purgatory a few months ago. When Waverly touches his hand with her hand that wears the magical ring, he sees a recovered memory of telling the Fire Chief that all he wants is to help people.

Back at the bar, Doc and Kate wake after having drained both of the humans. Doc is still hungry and insists on finding more food with or without Kate. She follows him to the fire station which has been abandoned by everyone except the Chief. Doc demands to know where Charlie is but the Chief won't give him up until Kate shows up from behind which leaves him surrounded. The Chief instructs them on how to track Charlie's vehicle through GPS. Doc shoots the Chief and Kate also ends up shot in the process. Disoriented, he tells Kate that he needs Charlie's blood. She says there's something wrong with him but Doc says he'll be fine just as long as he can drink from Charlie again and leaves her bleeding.

The revenants are having a fancy dinner where Bulshar is set to attend. Mercedes is also there to welcome Wynonna. She seemingly has aligned herself with Bulshar but it's purely motivated by survival. She suggests that Wynonna do the same since she no longer has Peacemaker.

Charlie is beginning to panic at the greenhouse. He is confused by how the fog brought them there, the recovered memory from Waverly's ring, and now there are flowers blooming that shouldn't have bloomed so quickly. He says they need to leave and begins to unite her right at the time that they hear a car pull up. Charlie insists that they hide.

Kate drags herself to the Fire Chief's unconscious body when Nicole radios in trying to reach him, and uses it to ask for help.

At Bulshar's dinner he gives a speech and declares one of the revenants will be his first lieutenant on his journey the next day. Some of the revenants offer themselves and then Wynonna does the same. She wants one shot to protect her sister and is willing to fight for Bulshar if that's what it takes. Bulshar is enraged and orders that she be thrown in a cell.

While Waverly and Charlie hide under a table, she tries to question him further. When he touches her ring again Waverly sees a memory of him with her mother. This causes Waverly to realise that Charlie is her father. He is reeling from the memories coming back so Waverly tells him to stay put and emerges to confront Doc, who has come into the greenhouse. Doc can smell that her blood smells like Charlie's and Waverly declares that Charlie is actually Julian, her father.

Mercedes talks to Wynonna and points out that it's the first time she's seen Wynonna scared. Bulshar had jerked his hand back when Wynonna tried to reach for him. One of the revenants comes over to the cage and points out that there won't be any revenants without the Earp curse. They need Wynonna's family to stay cursed or they will cease to exist. Wynonna thinks that she can hurt Bulshar if she can touch him. The revenant figures out that it's because when you curse someone there is a cost to yourself. Wynonna is Bulshar's cost. The revenant unlocks the cage and Wynonna prepares herself to take on Bulshar.

Back at the greenhouse, Doc is highly amused by the revelation that Charlie is Julian given that he had been hooking up with Wynonna. Waverly reminds Doc that he loves Wynonna and Doc says that she's lying. Waverly tries to remind him of his love but he tries to attack her instead, overcome with hunger for angel blood. The two get into a fight and Waverly gets knocked down near Charlie. He reaches for her hand and grabs her ring. Waverly says it won't come off but Julian says it will for him. He removes the ring and puts it on his own hand. Doc tries to attack but Julian easily knocks him back into an angel statue that breaks. Charlie's wings unfold and he explains that he wandered outside the Ghost River Triangle until she also crossed outside of it. She was the light that guided him back. Waverly is worried that Doc may die but Julian says there's no time. Doc tearfully says goodbye to Doc.

Nicole patches Kate up and explains that Doc fed on something that he shouldn't have and now it's changed him. Kate is overcome with guilt and decides to read some tarot cards. At first, there's only death but then things start to change. Hope is beginning to rise.

At the dinner, Wynonna walks up to Bulshar. A revenant attacks her and the two fight until another revenant breaks up the scuffle. Wynonna gets up and marches towards Bulshar. He tells Mercedes to lock her back up but she refuses. Bulshar leaves and Wynonna rallies the other revenants to her side and points out that Bulshar wants them to fight each other so that they won't focus their attentions on him instead. They decide to work with her to stop him.

Doc wakes in the greenhouse and discovers a wrapped-up sword in the remains of the angel statue.

Robin and Jeremy are at the station. Bobo encourages Jeremy not to give up and then Jeremy has an epiphany that there is a key in Bulshar's DNA. But he'll need to get some more beakers at displace. Robin wants to bring Bobo with them but Jeremy refuses. Robin is reluctant but ultimately leaves with Jeremy, leaving Bobo in his cage.

Wynonna and her new army march through town in preparation of their fight.

Bulshar arrives at the station and points out that Bobo is alone. Bobo says that he tried to help the humans but he did too many bad things so they rejected him. Bulshar points out that he isn't one of them and offers Bobo a job, which he accepts.

Wynonna Earp airs on Fridays on Syfy at 9/8c.

Wynonna Earp S03E10 "The Other Woman" Recap

Purgatory, 1887. A priest tells a story to a woman named Maeve. Bob is there, but this is while he was still known as Robert. His arrival comes with a warning, that Wyatt Earp is coming. The Father had hoped that they would be spared, but Robert tells them that Bulshar doesn't spare anyone. The Father gets Maeve to leave with the writing, which she is to bring home and hide. The Father tells Robert they need to get Peacemaker to the champion.

In present day, Wynonna is watching Bobo. He's being kept in a glass cage in the Black Badge offices. She hopes that he can offer some insight that will help her defeat Bulshar. But he's too far gone from the torture he suffered being trapped by Bulshar's illusion torture. Waverly and Jeremy arrive with coffee but Wynonna leaves, still feeling devastated for giving Bulshar Peacemaker.

Somewhere in Purgatory, a woman wearing a hazmat suit emerges from an old mine, declaring that the chosen one needs to "come and get it."

Waverly and Jeremy continue to work to try to come up with a plan or solution to the Bulshar problem. They go through a recap of everything they know Bulshar has done, until Bobo interrupts with rants about a book. He briefly experiences mental clarity and tells Waverly to ask Doc about a witch. This witch was defended by the Father when no one else would. Waverly is able to determine that Bobo had been talking about someone named Maeve. She asks Nicole to find Doc and question him about this mysterious woman.

Wynonna encounters Charlie in the barn working on her lawnmower. Charlie flirts with her but she's not in the mood, revealing to him that the apocalypse is set to occur in under 24 hours from now. Wynonna hugs Charlie to comfort him, given the magnitude of this revelation. Charlie admits he was worried that she had been avoiding him, and Wynonna explains that she had been preoccupied with fighting against Bulshar. They hear a sound and go outside where a woman is on the Homestead porch. Wynonna attacks when the woman notes that Wynonna doesn't have a gun, but the woman fights back. She introduces herself as Kevin and declares that she'll be helping Wynonna to save the world.

Kevin claims to be an ambassador whose job it is to maintain the balance in the world. Typically they don't interfere but she decided to do so upon noticing all that Bulshar had gotten up to. She claims to know of a weapon that can stop him. Kevin's bosses don't believe Wynonna can wield this weapon but Kevin was insistent that she could do it. Kevin warns that using the weapon will have a cost but Wynonna despondently replies that it always does.

Wynonna speaks with Charlie, who warns her that she can't be sure that Kevin is whom she claims to be. But Wynonna is so desperate at this point that she is willing to take the risk. She wants Charlie to leave and be safe but he wants to stay by her side and help her. Wynonna insists that it isn't about him, saddening Charlie who has deeper feelings for her. Wynonna thinks he's too needy. Charlie is insulted, as he just wants to help her. But Wynonna says it's not the time to have this discussion and they can revisit it after Bulshar has been defeated. Charlie leaves, upset at the lack of a resolution.

Waverly arrives and is confused to find Kevin going through the fridge. Wynonna explains the circumstances and though Waverly remains suspicious of Kevin Wynonna has resolved to take whatever help is left to try to help her stop Bulshar. Kevin goes to explain that Bulshar's severed arm is still in the mine where he had been originally entombed and it can be used as a weapon to stop him. The champion needs to be the one to retrieve it and create a weapon out of it to defeat Bulshar. Waverly is weary of this because the mine is unstable and could collapse on whomever goes in to try to get the arm. However, Wynonna and Waverly still opt to go retrieve the arm.

Doc is struggling at the bar given his lack of a sizable blood supply. Nicole asks if Kate can help him with this problem but she's nowhere to be found. Nicole asks about Maeve, and Doc says that she once kept a journal for the local priest. Nicole goes in search of this book and Maeve's home. Doc comes along but continues to struggle with his bloodthirst. He warns Nicole to shoot him if he loses control, and Nicole is more than prepared to do so since she's got a bullet clip filled with wooden bullets.

At Maeve's home, Doc shares how Maeve tended to be a bit of a loner. She didn't socialize with many men, and some locals even suspected her of being a witch. One day a mob attacked her and burned her at the stake. A few days later, Wyatt killed Bulshar while he was still Sheriff Clootie. Upon entering the home they discover that Maeve's descendants have long since abandoned it. The house is freezing cold so Doc heads to the fireplace to start a fire. The voice of Maeve speaks and admonishes them for entering the house. Doc tries to ask about the book but Maeve doesn't feel like sharing. She's locked in fire without a body and possess Nicole when she tries to reason with Maeve. Maeve requires a fresh body to become corporeal again. Upon realizing that Doc is a vampire she tells him that he will need to kill Nicole for her to give up the information.

Maeve won't be able to stay in Nicole for very long since Nicole's being is still in the body too. Doc is determined to not feed on Nicole so Maeve says he needs to find another body for her to possess and he will need to kill them in front of her so that she can possess them quickly before all the organs fail. Doc refuses this as well.

Wynonna and Waverly make it to the mine where something is already inside and screaming. An explosion goes off and a revenant emerges with a glowing hand. Waverly recalls that this was once a uranium mine so this revenant is radioactive. The revenant advances on Wynonna and Waverly, who recalls this particular revenant from her research but he was supposed to only have one arm. This means he's got Bulshar's arm attached to him. He burns Wynonna when she tries to punch him due to his radioactive state. But Wynonna no longer has Peacemaker to get rid of him. Wynonna faints from the pain of her injuries, leaving Waverly to fend the revenant off herself.

Robin visits the station and brings Jeremy lunch. But Doc interrupts the moment by ringing Jeremy up to ask him for help with Nicole being possessed. Jeremy is still upset with Doc for biting Robin, but agrees to help Nicole. Jeremy ends up being possessed by Maeve but she jumps back to Nicole's body after determining that Jeremy isn't entirely human. Jeremy is skeptical as to whether Maeve really has the book but they all believe that she does after spitting out a page of it through Nicole's mouth. Maeve tries again to goad Doc into letting her keep Nicole's body. She even goes so far as to threaten the book. This is the clue that Doc and Jeremy need to realise that it must be hidden in the fireplace. They recover the book, prompting Maeve to draw Nicole's gun on them. However, she has spent too long in Nicole's body and is forced out of it and back into the fireplace. Maeve then creates a roaring fire that sends Jeremy, Doc, and Nicole reeling back.

Waverly is dragging Wynonna away from the revenant, as she's still not fully conscious. She can't call for help since she can't manage to get a signal. They seek refuge in a house nearby, which turns out to belong to Mercedes. She reveals her restored face for the first time to them. They try to barricade the door with chairs and Mercedes shares how Waverly's touch was what healed her injuries. The revenant bursts in and attacks. Waverly uses Bulshar's ring to control the arm. After a bit of trial and error she is able to use it to force the revenant to choke himself out. Wynonna and Waverly then work together to rip the arm off of the revenant's body.

Firefighters arrive at Maeve's house, led by Charlie, who drags a coughing Doc out of the flames. Doc is grateful but immediately attacks Charlie and drains him, succumbing to his bloodlust. Nicole emerges from the house and is horrified by the sight, pulling her gun on him as Jeremy also comes over. Nicole warns Doc that she will kill him if she ever sees him again. He is upset but also laughs at the situation.

Kevin arrives at Mercedes' house and is surprised to find that Wynonna and Waverly have been successful. She then reveals that the arm isn't the actual weapon and that his was only a trial set to determine the champion. As it turns out, Waverly is declares the champion that will stop Bulshar. Waverly's father Julian had been one of the two angels who were supposed to protect the Garden. This begs the question of what Bulshar is.

Nicole, Jeremy, and Robin learn the answer to this query by going through the journal they retrieved from Maeve. Bulshar was Sheriff Clootie before, but even earlier than this he had lived in the Garden as a snake. He was the one who tempted Eve with the apple -- the Devil himself. Julian and the other angel had failed to keep Bulshar in the Garden. Their one chance to fix this needed to happen on the eve of the Pledge Moon. The next Pledge Moon will happen the very next day.

Kevin explains to Waverly and Wynonna that since Waverly is only half-angel it was unclear as to whether she would be able to wield the ring. With this trial against Bulshar's arm, she proved that she could. Waverly is the only who will be able to seal the Garden but the cost of this is that she will turn to stone. Wynonna is outraged by the notion of this and Waverly admits that she is uncertain if she can follow through on this task if that is the cost. Kevin berates Waverly for not stepping up to the task and says that her father would be disappointed in her.

Back at the station, Nicole looks at Charlie's body with the belief that Maeve will possess it. But Charlie hasn't woken up, leaving Nicole confused and saddened.

Waverly wonder if she really should sacrifice herself if it will save the world. Wynonna refuses to believe that destiny would take Waverly away in such a manner. As their conversation continues they realise that it is still light out even though it is nine o'clock at night.

Mercedes is waiting for a date. Someone knocks at the door but no one is seen when she opens it. She goes back inside and begins to close it, only for a hand to reach in and drag her back out.

Wynonna Earp airs on Fridays on Syfy at 9/8c.

Wynonna Earp S03E09 "Undo It" Recap

Waverly and Nicole continue to struggle to get Bulshar's ring off Waverly's finger. Waverly seems find with leaving it on for the time being but Nicole is more insistent that they find a way to get it off, even opting to go in search of some bolt cutters out in the barn. But she gets more than she bargained before, as she knocks before entering on Wynonna and Doc hooking up again. It's unclear what effect Bulshar's white powder has had on them until after Nicole goes back to the house. Then they are revealed to be surrounded by medieval soldiers that have Bulshar in the middle of their huddle.

Wynonna and Doc are later shown to be walking through the woods. When Wynonna ponders on how they're supposed to be stopping Bulshar, she is zapped by a mysterious force that makes her change her mind. The scene shifts to Wynonna and Doc still walking through the woods but they're actually following Bulshar's soldiers. When Wynonna begins to be aware of her surroundings, they attempt to force feed her something but are unable to get her to consume it. Bulshar is impressed by Wynonna's strength against his illusions but then he knocks her out and forces a stronger hallucination onto her.

Wynonna wakes in a mysterious room. She makes her way up and down some stairs and discovers she is in Doc's bar but is shot with an arrow. When she wakes again the arrow and injury are gone. She is in the basement of the bar and Doc is talking to her from a projection on some crates. Doc tells her that he can't see her and is trapped somewhere, unable to move. She goes in search of him but each time she ends up shot with an arrow and reawakens in the basement. Doc suggests that this is supposed to be some sort of torture but Wynonna won't give up her search of him.

Nicole brings Waverly to a jeweler to try to get the ring off but even with a powerful drill, nothing can get the ring off. The jeweler is creeping them out too, with his eerie fixation on the ring. Thankfully, they're called away on police business. They head to Kate's place and are shocked to find Mercedes. When last they'd seen her, her face had been stolen by one of Clootie's widows. Now that she's had her face reattached she is trying to put her life back together. She is attempting to hammer open a safe but to no avail. Nicole uses her gun to shoot the safe open and Mercedes is able to retrieve a substantial amount of cash she had stowed away. But they are interrupted by the jeweler, who followed them back and wants the ring. It turns out he's a demon hoping to get in good with Bulshar. He orders Waverly to cut the ring off, even at the cost of her own finger, under the threat of killing Nicole and Mercedes. Waverly lures him over and uses the ring to burn his face to some crispy embers.

Wynonna is trapped in her loop of death in the bar, unable to determine a way out of it. When the floor begins to burn, Wynonna runs out and finds herself in her own house. The reality outside of her hallucinations is that she has been tied to a tree and lying unconscious while experiencing Bulshar's hallucinations. Bulshar is gleeful at having bested her and declares his intention to force Wynonna to watch as he enters the Garden, destroys the world, and enslaves humanity.

In the illusion, another projection of Doc tells Wynonna he can feel the vibrations above him when Wynonna walks around her house. Wynonna determines that Doc is under the floorboards, and that dirt is slowly creeping in till he's buried alive. Wynonna goes to the barn in search of a crowbar so that she can free him. Bobo is there and she shoots him with Peacemaker which knocks her back to her house. She repeats this cycle of shooting Bobo and ending back up in the house, with Doc growing closer to being buried.

Waverly, Nicole, and Mercedes are all shaken by Waverly's retaliation against the demon. They're all in agreement that they need to get rid of it and Waverly is prepared to try to cut her own finger off to make it happen. But Mercedes intervenes and brings her an oven mitt to cover her hand until they can figure out another way to get it off.

Jeremy calls Waverly about an emergency. She goes with Nicole to meet him in the woods where he shows them some overgrown tree roots which have Bobo trapped in the middle, entranced.

Wynonna tries to ask the Bobo she's encountering to help her fight Bulshar but he refuses so the two attack and kill one another. Wynonna wakes once more in her house and Doc pleads with her to try once more to save him. At this exact moment, Waverly, Nicole, and Jermey manage to free the real Bobo, who tells them that Wynonna and Doc are still trapped in Bulshar's illusion. They decide to look for Wynonna and Doc but before they leave, Bobo notices Waverly's ring and tells her that it belongs to her father.

In the illusion, Wynonna returns to the barn but this time Bobo isn't there. She leaves the barn and encounters Bulshar. Bulshar taunts her about trapping Doc and stands near a door that serves as the way out. Wynonna tries to shoot Bulshar but the bullets don't hit him. He taunts her, that he is the one who created the revenants and so Peacemaker will only effect them. Bulshar wants Wynonna to surrender the gun since he can't seem to take it without her consent. Wynonna refuses. She goes back to the house and and breaks the floorboards open to free Doc from his imprisonment. Doc goes with her outside to fight Bulshar and he tells them they're free to go. Wynonna tries to shoot him again and this time he explodes. Wynonna and Doc pass through the door and find they are in the barn. There's a knock at the barn door and it's Nicole. But when Wynonna opens the door she is brought back to the beginning of the hallucination, all the way back in Doc's bar basement.

Wynonna is despondent. She drags herself up the stairs, opens, the door, and is back at the Homestead. Bulshar is there and says that she can't kill him. He is prepared to keep her trapped in this illusion. But no matter what he does, Wynonna refuses to give up, saying that Waverly will be looking for her. Bulshar claims that this isn't the case but it's actually true, since she is running through the woods with Nicole and Jeremy. They discover the staircase that Robin and Jeremy had found back in episode 4. Jeremy realises that these are the stairs to theGarden. Nicole tries to climb them but Jeremy stops her. Waverly has found Wynonna and Doc.

Bulshar is still trying to convince Wynonna to give up Peacemaker in the illusion. She comes to the realization that he needs it in order to get into the Garden. He blasts her with the sounds of her loved ones crying for help. He will only let them go if she surrenders. Wynonna hits her breaking point and hands the gun over just as Waverly, Nicole, and Jeremy free her and Doc from the illusion.

Later on, Wynonna admits to Waverly that Bulshar beat her in the illusion. Waverly remains certain that they will find a way to win and points out that it's worse that the ring is still stuck on her hand. Waverly proposes that they will fight Bulshar at the stairs in the woods. Wynonna says that she didn't see any stairs, believing that they can only be seen by the righteous.

Finally, Mercedes feels off the bandages around her face which is now completely intact. Seemingly, Waverly touching her earlier with the ring had some sort of healing effect. What implications does this have for our heroes in the fight against Bulshar? We'll have to wait and see!

Wynonna Earp S03E08 "Waiting Forever For You" Recap

Wynonna is hanging out with Jeremy at Doc's bar. She has yet to reveal that Doc is now a vampire, and she's also avoiding her new friend-with-benefits, Charlie. But Jeremy won't enable Wynonna's misbehaviour so he points Wynonna out to Jeremy so she can directly address the situation. Wynonna first gives Jeremy Bulshar's ring to keep safe before she speaks with Charlie. They decide to put this awkwardness behind them and makes dinner plans.

Meanwhile, Bulshar is escalating his plans by resurrecting his wife, Constance Clootie. He has orders for her that involve retrieving something he needs.

Doc goes to meet with Kate, who's kidnapped a man for their next meal. But Doc rejects this offering, as he prefers to find his food himself. He leaves furious at her and she decides to eat without him. An angry, hungry Doc is hunting in the woods and comes across Jeremy's love interest, Robin. The two are talking on the phone to plan a double date with Waverly and Nicole. Jeremy is putting Bulshar's ring in a safe when he hears Robin screaming on the call. Doc is horrified once he realises what he's done and brings an injured Robin back to Jeremy who now knows that Doc is a vampire. He berates Doc for what's happened, prompting Doc to leave.

Wynonna and Charlie are out for dinner when Jeremy shows up to tell her what's happened. She is furious at Doc and leaves dinner to go on a mission to stake him. Charlie helps her by trapping Doc at his bar using a rope soaked in holy water while Wynonna pays a visit to Kate. But before Wynonna can stake her, Kate shares the story of how Doc is the reason that she was turned into a vampire.

Kate had moved with her family to the new world in search of freedom. Unfortunately her parents died not long after they arrived. Kate had planned to go back to Hungary but decided against it because she had the ability to read tarot cards and thus knew what would happen in the world. She met Doc when he helped her fend off a man that became aggressive while visiting her to get his cards read.

Back at Doc's bar, Charlie and Doc are arguing until they're interrupted by the arrival of Widow Clootie. Charlie is frightened by her appearance and Doc can't fight her off while he is trapped by the Holy Water rope. Doc implores Charlie to let him free but he is too frightened at first. Constance is looking for whatever Bulshar sent her after and attempts to leave when she doesn't find it. Finally Charlie manages to pull himself together and releases Doc from captivity. Doc subdues Constance by punching her in the heart, which knocks her down for the time being. They call Wynonna who doesn't answer since she's still listening to Kate's story.

Doc and Kate had travelled together and Kate fell in love with him. Doc fell sick and Kate begins to reconsider going back to Hungary. But Wynonna reminds Kate that she had left Doc when he was sick and warns her to stay honest in this story.

Robin is okay after his attack so he accompanies Jeremy to the double date with Waverly and Nicole at the Homestead. Jeremy is waiting for Wynonna to call with an update. Robin is helping Waverly cook when he begins to wonder what a potato feels like in the ground. This is enough for Waverly to deduce that Robin has managed to tap into Bulshar's wavelength and has the ability to hear what commands Bulshar is giving to the trees. Waverly goes to tell Nicole and Jeremy who notices a ring. Nicole kneels down to get it and Waverly mistakenly believes it's a proposal until Nicole explains that she's holding Bulshar's ring. But the question remains of how it got there in the first place. The trio are discussing what's been going on, including Doc being turned into a vampire and attacking Robin, whom they then hear leave the house. They follow him outside and to the barn where he's removed his shirt, shoes, is wounding himself into bleeding, and mumbling about needing to continue fertilizing the soil and soon it will all be over.

Doc and Charlie intend to take Constance, who is still unconscious, out to the well where they can keep her trapped. But before they can get there, she wakes in the trunk and steals the car. She drives to Kate's place where Wynonna and Kate are armed with knives and preparing to fight. They decide to put aside their differences and stand together against Constance for the time being. But Constance leaves again when she fails to find what she is looking for.

Doc and Charlie are still chasing after Constance but it's not proving easy since they're on foot. When Doc points out that Doc is weakened by his need for blood Doc tries to attack him. Charlie is able to defend himself and Doc permits him to knock him out so he won't hurt anyone in this time of crisis.

Waverly, Nicole, and Jeremy are struggling to come up with a solution to whatever is happening to Robin. Robin says that someone is close, but who? Bulshar himself? Once Robin snaps out of his strange trance and regains an awareness of his surroundings he explains that he was able to hear the roots of the trees whispering to one another. They're being forced to do Bulshar's bidding against their will. Constance arrives again, still in search of Bulshar's missing item. Waverly and Nicole unsuccessfully fight her. Bulshar's ring begins to glow and burn in Nicole's belonging. Waverly grabs it and is immune to whatever burning from it that injured Nicole. Upon putting it on, it gives her a boost of strength that allows her to push Constance away when she charges at her. Constance runs off with three tarot cards she had found among Doc's belongings.

Wynonna brings Kate to the Homestead. Kate explains that the cards belonged to Bulshar and that he was the aggressive client she had refused to read. This was how she and Doc met but at this time Bulshar was known as Sheriff Clootie. Clootie had visited Kate in the hopes that she would help him find something in the Ghost River Triangle. But she refused to read his future when she saw his cards, angering him in the process. Wynonna and Kate decide to go after Constance in the hopes of preventing her from getting the cards back to Bulshar. But they don't get there before her. Bulshar laughs maniacally upon reading his future in the cards.

Wynonna and Kate catch up to Constance later, when Bulshar is already gone. Constance actually wants to be free from Bulshar and the existence he has pulled her into so Wynonna releases her with the help of Peacemaker.

Wynonna is upset by her inability to catch up to Bulshar, who is always ahead of her attempts to stops him. Kate implores her to understand that Bulshar is still ultimately a demon and that Wynonna is the best demon-hunter Kate has seen in a very long time. Wynonna is suspicious that Kate is only kissing up to try to get Wynonna to spare her life. But Kate tells her that Wynonna killing her wouldn't transform Doc back into a human, and that the idea of this is only a myth surrounding vampirism.

Wynonna realises that her fate is linked to Bulshar's so if Kate reads her tarot cards, they may be able to finally get an insight into Bulshar's cards.

Charlie takes Doc back to the bar and gets him some blood through the help of a paramedic friend. They talk about Wynonna and Charlie admits that he really likes her. Doc warns Charlie that he will never know Wynonna as well as Doc does. Charlie retaliates that Wynonna hunts creatures like him but Doc remains hopeful that she will become understanding of the situation.

Waverly can't get Bulshar's ring off no matter what she does to try to help the situation. Jeremy then notices that a new symbol has appeared on the the ring after Waverly put it on. He decides to research into it further. Wynonna comes in and shares what Kate has found in reading Wynonna's tarot cards. The final card, Wynonna's future, depicted Adam and Eve. The new symbol on Bulshar's ring is the Arabic word for Paradise. Bulshar is after the Garden of Eden. Robin then comes in and says that Bulshar has already found it.

Wynonna visits Kate again, who shares the end of the story. She left Doc in the hopes that he would pursue her for once instead of it being the other way around. But he didn't, and her love for him prompted her to return. By then it was too late and he had struck a deal for immortality with Constance Clootie, who trapped him in the well. Kate knew that Doc was alive but didn't know where he was, so she became a vampire in order to continue looking for him. But Wynonna ended up being the one to find and free him.

Doc visits Wynonna in the barn later on. She tells him that she is not romantically interested in him now that he's a vampire. He declares that he became one so that he would be able to continue to be there for her and their daughter if anything were to happen to Wynonna. They agree to at least continue their work together in fighting off the Earp Curse. She says that the Ghost River Triangle protects the Garden of Eden. But the moment is interrupted by Bulshar who appears abruptly and blows some white powder in their faces.

Wynonna Earp S03E07 "I Fall To Pieces" Recap

When last we saw Wynonna Earp she had struck a strictly sexual relationship with Charlie the fireman. What better way to consummate this new adventure than doing it in an actual fire truck? But the fun can't last forever, as Nicole shows up and interrupts their latest bout of shenanigans. After all, the new sheriff of Purgatory has a responsibility to the town and must set a precedent from the start. She's also brought Waverly along and the couple bring Wynonna home together.

On the way, Waverly addresses the elephant in the room. Clearly Wynonna must be finished with whatever relationship she had previously had with Doc. Wynonna coldly says that they were never a thing. But what is a thing is Doc's new transformation into a vampire. Upon waking with Kate, his hand is burning. Bulshar's ring is rejecting him, something he's not particularly happy about. But Kate is at least happy, that Doc is now a vampire linked to her forever.

Wynonna arrives at the station with Nicole and Waverly. Nedley turns over his secret closet containing all the various cases he ever worked on that had supernatural aspects involved. It's up to Wynonna and Nicole as to what they want to keep and what they want to dispose of. But Nicole is also concerned about getting the full support of the city council to be fully appointed as sheriff. One council member in particular, Bunny Loblaw, will be the main challenge.

Doc has an awkward encounter with Michelle in the barn. She holds him at gunpoint and says she needs to get out for a while, as she's been cooped up for too long. He agrees and the pair take off in his truck.

While Nicole and Wynonna work through sorting Nedley's closet, Wynonna points out that they've only been assigned this to make them practice working together much like how they will on future cases. Nicole wants to be meticulous in sorting through the items while Wynonna thinks it's mostly useless junk. It appears as if the pair have some rough patches they'll need to sort through. Nicole is determined to go through things with a keen on eye, in case there's something waiting to be discovered that can help them take out Bulshar, which would achieve justice for Dolls. A scuffle breaks out between the two and a mirror ends up broken, along with other miscellaneous items from the closet.

Wynonna heads to Doc's bar and comes across Nedley drinking. Wynonna vents to him about Nicole, but Nedley advises her to go easy on her, believing the two have more in common than she might realise.

Nicole has to head back home where she'll be meting with councilwoman Bunny Loblaw. The first impression between the two isn't great. She orders Nicole to move her cat away from their meeting, claiming to be deathly allergic, and while Nicole is gone Bunny makes a homophobic remark about Nicole and Waverly. Nicole tries to reasonably pitch herself as sheriff but Bunny won't take no for an answer about learning what's really going on in Purgatory. If Nicole wants to be sheriff, she needs to tell the truth where Nedley had always made up some strange excuse like a costume party gone awry or animals had escaped from the zoo. Nicole tries to explain what's really going on but Wynonna shows up and interrupts the conversation. Bunny is happy to see her, because for some reason she thinks Wynonna would be better suited to be sheriff since she is more of a straight-shooter (no pun intended) and she comes from one of Purgatory's original families. Nicole excuses herself and pulls Wynonna into another room where they begin to bicker. Wynonna assures her she doesn't want to be sheriff but Nicole goes further, saying Wynonna isn't cut out to manage anything.

While they are arguing, an eerie revenant that rose earlier in the episode looks through the living room window. When Bunny sees him, she falls unconscious. It's not entirely clear if this is caused by fear or from some supernatural cause. Wynonna and Nicole return to the room and find that Bunny is still out cold and Nicole's cat has come downstairs, standing on top of Bunny. Nicole discovers some medication from Bunny's bag and uses it to wake her. She loads Bunny up in the back of her cop car to take her to the hospital but when she and Wynonna begin to argue again, two frat guys steal Nicole's cruiser and get away with Bunny still inside.

Wynonna and Nicole follow the pair using Bunny's car to a revenant roadhouse. They struggle to get the car open as Nicole's spare key breaks off in the key-hole. They go inside to try to get the original keys back from the frat guys but find the pair are being help captive by revenants. Wynonna challenges them to a drinking contest. The frat guys are set free in order to bring Bunny to the hospital. Wynonna and Nicole must win to secure their freedom and if the revenants win they can kill the women. Wynonna and Nicole seemingly win until the revenants realise Wynonna had ben cheating, forcing Wynonna and Nicole to escape into the woods. The pair are handcuffed together and Nicole is very drunk so it's quite the comedic struggle as the pair fumble through the woods.

Doc takes Michelle to Ward and Willa's grave, just as she requested. Michelle shares how she wanted to leave Purgatory when she was younger, but ended up staying because she got pregnant and married to Warp Earp. She talks about her affair with Julian and how Ward pushed Julian outside the Ghost River Triangle on the night Waverly was born. Julian hasn't been seen or heard from since, and Michelle admits that she learned this information from Bobo whom she has freed. Doc is horrified to learn that Bobo is free now and says he will stop Michelle if he needs to.

Back at the station, Jeremy and Waverly are going through all the things that have happened to Nicole and realise that all this back luck can't be purely coincidental. They then remember the broken mirror and decide to try to put it back together in case that's the cause.

Wynonna and Nicole do their best to fight off the revenants but it's then that the demon from before emerges and does away with another one of the revenants. He yells at the women that they owe him a new wife and chases them back to the station. Waverly realises that the mirror wasn't the only thing Nicole and Waverly broken and that the demon is actually a gnome. One other item that was broken was a gnome lawn ornament. While Nicole and Wynonna struggle to fight off the gnome, Waverly and Jeremy work to repair the broken gnome. When it's taped back together, a bolt of lightning strikes it and makes it appear as good as new. The gnome demon releases Wynonna and Nicole and grabs his gnome wife, leaving the station with it.

Bunny visits Wynonna at the station and continues to be both homophobic and xenophobic against Nicole, whom she refuses to endorse for sheriff. Wynonna points out that Bunny has seen at least one monster today and that if Bunny doesn't endorse Nicole, Wynonna will send many more monsters after Bunny. Bunny is angry but terrified so she agrees. Nicole had overheard the entire exchange and is grateful to Wynonna. They appear to finally reach an understanding with one another and are better prepared to work together on more cases to keep Purgatory safe. Wynonna also shows Nicole a picture she discovered of a young Nicole with Nedley. As it turns out, Nedley was the one who saved her from the massacre by the Cult of Bulshar, not Black Badge.

Nicole visits Nedley and talks to him about his saving her. He admits that he kept an eye on her after he saved her and naturally couldn't resist offering her a job when he learned that she enrolled in the police academy. Nedley sees her as a daughter and promises to always be there when she needs him, congratulating her on the position of Sheriff.

Doc returns to Kate's home and finds the mementos she's kept from the various people she's killed as a vampire. When Kate realises that Doc wants to help Wynonna she grows jealous and says that she will never want him now that he has changed into a vampire. Doc appreciates how Wynonna believes in his ability to be better, but Kate points out that she is the one that loves him even at his worst. Doc grabs the gun and other items to give to Michelle, who intends to leave Purgatory in search of Julian. Doc points out that Wynonna may not forgive her for leaving but Michelle snaps back that she will not allow a vampire to lecture him on love. The unsettling point of this exchange is that Doc never told Michelle that he is a vampire.

Wynonna returns home and finds Waverly crying over Michelle's goodbye letter. Wynonna is less upset, since she's not so surprised by this development. She also has a letter from her mother that tells her not to trust Doc and that he's not who she thinks he is. She confronts him about this and he gives her Bulshar's ring to protect herself. He goes on to admit that he spent the day with Michelle and also that she is the one who has released Bobo. Wynonna is still determined to get the truth and the argument escalates, with all the emotional baggage of their relationship weighing heavily on their interactions. Wynonna grows increasingly demanding and aggressive, even slapping Doc until he snaps at her and reveals his yellow-eyed vampirism. Wynonna understands now what her mother was trying to warn her about, and that Kate has turned him. Wynonna brings up their daughter, and what she would think of her father selling his soul for the sake of immortality. Wynonna then banishes Doc from her home and tearfully goes back inside.

Wynonna Earp S03E06 "If We Make It Through December" Recap

It's Christmas at the Earp household and everyone is embracing the holiday spirit. Michelle is decorating the Christmas tree while Nicole shows Waverly her elf costume. Doc delivers another Christmas tree but Michelle send him away, still harboring a grudge over his secrecy with having been married to vampire-Kate.

Sheriff Nedley is dressing up as Santa Claus for a local festival. A child attending runs off in pursuit of a man in red whom he believes to be the real Santa Claus. Commence the screaming -- there's a new foe to defeat!

Wynonna finally reveals what she has learned from Bobo; Waverly's father is an angel. Michelle is reluctant to tell the story when it's the holidays but she begrudgingly shares with Waverly that her father's name is Julian. Michelle loved him but he disappeared the day Waverly was born. She never got around to searching for him since she was preoccupied with being a mother to her daughters and fighting off the demon that was hunting Waverly. Waverly doesn't feel like an angel and Wynonna admits it's possible that Bobo was lying. Michelle is surprised to learn that Bobo is still alive and shares that he was present when Waverly was born. Wynonna is called in to help with the search for the missing child from the holiday festival and leaves Waverly to speak more with Michelle, who no longer wants to speak about the past.

Doc brings the tree that Michelle sent him away with over to the station. Jeremy is less than friendly with him, as Robin never called him after their date and he's been in low spirits ever since. Doc coaches him to pursue what he wants and Jeremy decides to call Robin himself. But his phone is shown to be ringing in a bowl at some unknown, insidious facility where the sounds of torture victims screaming can be heard. The boy who was kidnapped earlier is at this facility and gets put into a cage with Robin after being announced as someone on the naughty list.

Waverly visit Bobo at the well and threatens him with a shotgun, demanding to know whatever information he is keeping secret about her birth. He shares how he went to the Gibson greenhouse and went inside when he heard screaming. Michelle was inside right after Waverly's birth. She passes out from blood loss but not before giving Waverly to Bobo to keep safe. Bobo brought the baby to Michelle's husband, Ward, who held a gun at them since he knew the baby didn't belong to him. But Bobo used his powers to take the gun and threatened to kill Ward if he dared to hurt Waverly. Waverly wants to know whatever it is that Bobo is leaving out of the story, since it can't be a coincidence that Bobo was around the day her father went missing. Bobo hints that he knows more but won't give up the goods until he is let out of the well. Waverly merely shuts the well back up and leaves to process the information.

Nicole is at the festival attempting to collect witness statements. Nedley is wracked with guilt over not having been able to prevent the kidnapping. Nicole points Wynonna in the direction of the kidnapping. Wynonna meets an officer from fire services named Charlie who is also looking for clues. There's a lot of blood but it's too much to be from just a missing child. Wynonna theorizes that someone is attempting to stage a false murder so that law enforcement won't search for the boy. A falling tree branch nearly hits Wynonna but Charlie pulls her out of the way. Wynonna then brings Charlie back to meet the rest of the team at the station. She has a sample of the blood for Jeremy to test. The boy, Tim, comes from a family with an extensive history entangled in Purgatory so the running theory is that Bulshar is being this kidnapping. Explaining Bulshar's identity to Charlie proves difficult, but Jeremy's mood is significantly improved upon realizing that Robin's family also has a long history in Purgatory so Robin might not be ghosting him after all.

Wynonna and Doc go to ask his wife Kate about why Bulshar would be targeting first families. It turns out that Bulshar had ordered the vampire clan to separate the descendent of first families from others but they were not to be killed. The motive however, remains a mystery. Doc is protective of Kate when Wynonna is suspicious of her, since he thinks Kate was an innocent victim pulled into being a vampire. But Kate points out that she was already a vampire when they first met. She told him repeatedly but he was often high on opium and thought these admissions were part of some salacious role-playing games. After Doc got sick, Kate left to return to the other vampires because she couldn't bear to watch him die. Wynonna leaves angry at the clear connection between Doc and Kate. Doc follows her back to the station and pushes her to see that their connection is deeper than what he had with Kate. Wynonna kisses him momentarily before pulling away once more. Doc wants to continue their romantic relationship but Wynonna wants to resume work on the case.

Nicole and Charlie follow a lead back into the woods in search of Tim. Nicole discovers a pile of petals in the snow and Charlie snaps a photo. Back at the facility, a man is forced into a chair and Bulshar taunts Tim and Robin to watch this man die just as their ancestors watched Bulshar die. Bulshar pours green goo into the funnel that covers the man and Robin covers Tim's eyes.

The petals Nicole found are not native to the area they were found but they can be used to cover noxious fumes that can be produced from a factory. The blood sample Wynonna had brought back is also found to be pig's blood, not a young boy's. The team then searches for the facility that Bulshar could be keeping his victims.

Bulshar is taunting Tim at the facility, since Tim's ancestors helped Wyatt Earp ambush him. Bulshar is prepared to kill Tim but Robin jumps in to offer himself up to go next. Ever the good guy, he attempts to reassure Tim even as Bulshar straps him into a chair.

Charlie meets Wynonna at the facility she believes is Bulshar's lair. She tests him to make sure that he's not a demon. He helps her break in with the use of his fire equipment and find all the kidnapping victims. Although Bulshar gets away, Wynonna kills several revenants while Charlies frees the prisoners from their cells. Everyone is brought back to the station and the victims are reunited with their loved ones. Robin and Jeremy share a kiss, as Robin assures him he wouldn't have ghosted him were it not for the kidnapping. Charlie and Wynonna also strike up a flirtation.

Nicole visiting Nedley in his office. He is still distraught over not being able to stop Tim's kidnapping. He then drops a major revelation; he will be retiring and Nicole will be the new sheriff of Purgatory.

Team Earp gather for Christmas dinner. Doc questions Wynonna over how she didn't call him when she found Bulshar's facility. She says that Charlie was there and everything was fine. Doc seems to get the message loud and clear that things are over between them, romantically speaking anyway. Doc leaves after the group shares a toast. Waverly tells Wynonna to go after him but Michelle discourages this until after dinner. The pair are washing dishes and Michelle then says Wynonna should go after Doc but Wynonna points out that he is still married to a vampire. Wynonna also believes she doesn't deserve him. Michelle assures Wynonna of her worth, and doesn't want her to settle for anything less after all that Michelle herself went through. Wynonna says they can find Julian if that's something Michelle wants to do.

Wynonna leaves but goes off in search of Charlie. He is surprisingly calm about all the supernatural revelations he has experienced since helping Wynonna out. They share a kiss and Wynonna says she doesn't want anything with strings. He is more than happy to jump on board.

Michelle visits Bobo in the well and demands to know where Julian is. She has even brought a rope to get him out of the well in exchange for what he knows.

Finally, Doc visits Kate who was attacked by Bulshar's followers who had come to collect fealty. She was able to fight them off but not without picking up a few injuries. Kate reminds Doc that she needs him and he agrees to help her any way she can. He even agrees to let Kate turn him into a vampire. She bites him and his eyes shift to a glowing colour, suggesting a rapid change.

Wynonna Earp S03E05 "Jolene" Recap

The group has all been taken over by the influence of a demon named Jolene. Waverly and Wynonna head to the barn where they're tying up Mama, who begs them to listen. While Wynonna goes back inside, Waverly decides to listen to her for one minute. Mama claims that a demon was trying to torment Waverly ever since she was 6. Mama was trying to perform an exorcism when the barn caught fire. The demons has been bound to her and torturing her ever since. When Waverly came to visit Mama, she broke the demon's bond with her and Mama escaped to save Waverly from the demon.

Doc arrives at the homestead and finds that Wynonna has taken up stress-cleaning. The warden is on the way to pick up Mama but Wynonna still seems worried about the demon Mama was talking about. Jolene attempts to sway Wynonna's concerns by pointing out all the years Mama spent in a mental institute. When Doc begins to be skeptical towards Jolene's existence, she feeds him a snickerdoodle and he is won back over to her side. Jolene declares she will go out to be the look-out for the demon and then Doc tells Wynonna that when he listened to the tapes of Mama's therapy session, he could three voices. Two were of Mama and her counsellor but the third may very well be the demon. But only Mama could hear the demon. Doc is able to hear it too because he had gone to hell when he briefly died previously. He agrees that Waverly is in danger.

Back in the barn, Waverly and Mama discuss the demon. Waverly then recalls seeing something in the mirror when she was in kindergarten. The creature had many teeth, offering some sort of legitimacy to Mama's claims about the demon.

When the revenant that Wynonna had previously beheaded at the institute arrives, Jolene offers him pie and reveals all the indiscretions she witnesses from him while they were at the institute. She tells him he won't ruin things for her and rips out his tongue.

Wynonna, Waverly, and Doc are helping Mama prepare to go back to the institute. Waverly tries to explain the relationship between Wynonna and Doc. It's awkward. Wynonna retaliates by pointing out Waverly is dating a cop. Waverly shares that her name is Nicole and Mama says she's open to talking about her later if they survive what's coming after them.

Jolene enters the barn and Mama stops being suspicious of her once Jolene feeds her some baked goods. However, Mama is still determined to get the demon. She wants to perform a summoning ritual at the family greenhouse that will rebind the demon to her. Mama later confronts Doc and tells him not to come, saying he is only bringing Wynonna down. Doc agrees with her and leaves.

Waverly asks Mama about her real father once they reach the greenhouse. Mama shares that his name was Julian and they met when she escaped from the Earp Homestead.

Nicole pulls Jolene over on the road and Nicole doesn't seem to recognise her until she feeds her more baked goods. Jolene then announces that she needs to get to the Earps at the greenhouse. Nicole is surprised, having been left out of the planning regarding the greenhouse, a detail which Jolene uses to manipulate Nicole's emotions. Jolene then says she needs Waverly to finish plan since she can't physically harm Waverly herself. Nicole seems disoriented and doesn't fully absorb what Jolene is saying.

Back at the greenhouse, the Warden stumbles in but can't say anything because of his lack of a tongue. Wynonna, Waverly and Mama believe he is the demon they're after and believe their ordeal is finished after Wynonna kills him with Peacemaker. Waverly hears a voice calling her outside. It's Jolene and she's stuck in a trap that Mama set. Jolene pulls Waverly into the trap and Waverly is able to see Jolene's true form. Waverly screams for help and hits Jolene with the butt of her gun, which pushes Jolene out of the trap in the process. When Wynonna and Mama come out to see what the commotion is, they're appalled by what Waverly has done to Jolene.

Mama and Wynonna celebrate at the bar while Jolene serves more treats. Waverly arrives and attempts to apologise to Jolene. At the bar, Mama is confused about how a revenant could be in her head and physically trapped in the prison at the same time. Jolene tries to feed her a treat but Mama rejects it. Wynonna begins to be suspicious too that something is off. Jolene distracts their attentions by pointing out that Doc's wife is now living in the bar. Wynonna is shocked by this revelation and gets into a fight with Waverly because Jolene reveals that Waverly knew about this but didn't tell her.

Doc visits Bobo at the well and Bobo is still coherent. He wants to see Waverly and in exchange he will help Doc deal with Bulshar. Doc seems to agree to think about it.

When Doc is back at the bar, he and Wynonna get into an argument, as do Nicole and Waverly when she sees Nicole flirting with Jolene. The arguments spread until a full brawl breaks out. After things calm down, Wynonna and Mama are put into a holding cell at the police station till they can sober up. Jolene had dropped off some baked goods for them but they aren't given access to eat them.

Kate talks to Jolene at the bar and tells her she owes a debt of fealty to someone that is coming to collect. But Jolene is more confident than ever.

Doc finds Waverly crying and asks about Bulshar's ring. Waverly directs him to Nicole but he opts to ask her why she's upset first. Waverly wonders if all the ongoing conflicts are her fault and if she is the real demon. After Doc eats a cookie, he says the theory makes sense.

Jolene finds Nicole and tries to hit on her but Nicole rejects her advances. Jolene is furious and attacks Nicole, who finds Bulshar's ring. Jolene tries to pick it up but gets burned by it. She is horrified to learn that Bulshar has returned and throws Nicole into a closet before leaving.

Back at the station, Wynonna apologises to Mama for not believing her for all these years of her saying there was a demon on the loose. She admits to having done something similar to save her own daughter, a decision which Mama affirms. Mama and Wynonna both believe there is still a demon on the hunt for Waverly and shout at Sheriff Nedley to let them out. He arrives and they say that they need to stop the demon hunting Waverly and that only Jolene is protecting her. When Nedley doesn't know who Jolene is and asks them basic questions about her that they're unable to answer, they realise that Jolene is the demon.

Waverly returns to the greenhouse and is confronted by Jolene, who goads her towards attempting suicide. Jolene explains that they were born at precisely the same moment. As Waverly arrived out of the light, Jolene emerged from the dark which resulted in Jolene being shunned and alone. Now Waverly is her equal because no one loves her. But Waverly is able to fight through Jolene's manipulations, saying that Wynonna and Nicole love her no matter what, so she won't give up on them either. She fights Jolene, who claims that Waverly can't kill her without also killing herself. But right on cue, Waverly arrives with Peacemaker. She shoots Jolene, who runs off afterward. Mama then confronts Jolene and a tree begins to wrap its branches around her. Bulshar is collecting on his debt. Jolene desperately tries to claim that Waverly was supposed to be for him but he takes Jolene anyway.

Nicole and Waverly make up, while Doc goes into the woods with Bulshar's ring to taunt him, saying he won't be helping him with anything. Finally, Wynonna visits Bobo at the well. She announces that Waverly won't be going, and Bobo decides to reveal that Waverly's father was an actual angel from Heaven.

Wynonna Earp S03E04 "No Cure For Crazy" Recap

Wynonna and Doc chase after a revenant involved in the theft of Dolls' drugs. A tree seems to jump out in the revenant's path to stop him from getting away. Wynonna and Doc catch up to him but when Wynonna tries to shoot him, Peacemaker doesn't work and she's unable to shoot him dead. Meanwhile, a random park ranger is walking through the snowy woods and comes across a tree that's bleeding. He runs away frightened and the audience is able to see the face of a person from inside cracks on the tree's bark.

Waverly and Nicole are walking through the woods when they see a plaque in memoriam of the 'fire' that was actually the massacre Nicole survived. They know that Black Badge was responsible for covering up the incident but any further discussion is put on pause when the park ranger comes running up. His name is Robin and Waverly knows him. They decide to bring him back to the station where Jeremy is working with them on the investigation into the old massacre. Wynonna and Doc also arrive with the Revenant and are trying to find a way to kill him. They look for some bullets that can be used to re-fuel but there aren't any left, and their access to Black Badge has dried up.

Doc decides to look for some more ammo at the bar with Wynonna. Things are made awkward when they find an old baby crib Doc had made for the baby before they had to give it up. Wynonna also offers to take Waverly to visit their mother, whom Wynonna claims is doing better. But cut to Mama Earp and she's shown to be in a padded cell writing a message with blood on the walls using blood from her cellmate.

Flashback to seven years ago and Wynonna is visiting her mother at the Ghost River Institute. Mama makes her promise not to tell Waverly and when Wynonna gets angry, Mama tells her to never come back.

In the present, Doc tells Wynonna she doesn't have her mother's flaws and the two kiss before being interrupted by Nicole. Nicole tells Wynonna to visit Nedley, while Doc finally manages to find some bullets. Back at the station, Wavery introduces Jeremy to Robin, hoping that the two will hit it off. When she leaves the room, she gets a call from the Institute about her mother and when she goes to visit her, Mama is horrified to see her there and begins panicking until a guard uses a taser to subdue her. As Mama is dragged away, she is heard muttering about needing to kill a demon.

Wynonna arrives at the station and explains that she is having trouble explaining to a financial person about everything that's been going on in their department. He's had to cover it up since there are many supernatural aspects to their cases. Wynonna's concentration is interrupted when she sees Waverly back at the station, visibly upset. Waverly tearfully tells Wynonna how she visited Mama and she tried to kill Waverly. Wynonna is furious and walks out, likely to confront Mama.

Jeremy and Robin are in the woods searching for the bleeding tree but quickly become lost, though not without finding time to flirt. They discover a mysterious stone staircase, which Jeremy warns Robin not to approach. He decides to call Doc for help.

Wynonna goes to the Institute to confront Mama about threatening Waverly. Mama apologises but steals Peacemaker before she can be transferred and steals one of the guard's gun before leaving, seemingly intent on killing Waverly whom she believes to be a demon. The institute leader orders the guards to take Waverly captive, saying that she is a convict that had a firearm and should be treated as an accomplice to her mother's escape.

Back at the station, Waverly learns from the sheriff that the reason why Mama was put away was because she tried to burn the barn down with Waverly inside.

Doc makes it to the woods and is trying to find Jeremy and Robin but is distracted by the sound of a baby crying. He is then confronted by Bulshar, who offers him the opportunity to do his bidding in exchange for various perks but Jeremy finds him first. Doc is disoriented by the encounter but doesn't say anything more about what he experienced.

Back at the Institute, Wynonna learns that the guards plan to kill her and Waverly and will frame Mama for it. The reason? They're all revenants. One of the guards prepares to take Wynonna to her death. Wynonna points out that regardless of whether she dies, the Earp bloodline will continue because she had a baby. This causes the revenant to pause and Wynonna takes the opportunity to attack and behead him, after which she escapes.

After Doc brings Jeremy and Robin back to the station, the pair review the photos they took from the woods. However, there isn't any trace of anything except mist, with no staircase to be seen whatsoever. At the end of it, they decide to go on a date. But unbeknownst to Jeremy, Robin is coughing up some blood. The cause is currently unknown. When Robin returns home, he finds plants there that hadn't been there before. He is then dragged off by some sentient tree branches.

Waverly listens to some audio tapes from Mama's sessions. Doc arrives wanting whiskey so Waverly decides to go out and retrieve some from the barn. Doc hears a third voice from the tapes and panics but Nicole doesn't know what he's talking about. Waverly encounters Mama in the barn, drawing symbols and lighting candles. Mama says the demon has come for her and when Waverly turns around she sees a creepy woman waiting for her.

Wynonna arrives home and finds Nicole, Waverly, and Doc sitting at the table eating baked goods and acting in a Stepford-Wife-like cheeriness. They tell her Mama attacked but they've now locked her in the barn till they can decide what to do with her. They introduce her to Jolene, whom has been feeding them. Wynonna is skeptical of Jolene until she force-feeds Wynonna a brownie, causing her to have the same cheeriness as the rest of the group.

Wynonna Earp S03E03 "Colder Weather" Recap

Wynonna is struggling to come to terms with Dolls' death. She's drinking while stumbling through the woods in search of Bulshar to vanquish and avenge Dolls. Waverly and Nicole have come with her and are armed, watching her from afar and hoping that this will help her in her grieving process. But Bulshar doesn't emerge, only a random revenant does. Wynonna is too drunk to vanquish him herself but Nicole and Waverly are able to chase him off using a shotgun.

The vampire Contessa, whom Doc had previously spared, pays him a visit at his bar. She wants something but Doc orders her to leave, which she does.

Back at the Earp home, Waverly and Nicole meet with a funeral director to pick a coffin for Dolls. Wynonna still isn't handling the situation well, opting to go outside and shoot drunk. Doc visits her and comforts her. They talk about Dolls and how he saved them all from certain death. Later on, the foursome agree to have a wake for Dolls, but Wynonna is outraged to learn that Jeremy will be performing an autopsy on Dolls and leaves in an attempt to stop it.

Back at the bar, Doc discovers that someone has broken into his bar and ransacked the basement. Whomever it was stole all the serum that had been created specially for Dolls. Doc hears a noise upstairs and finds a stranger with a gun. The two men hold their guns at one another and the man claims to have been a friend of Dolls.

Waverly and Nicole go to the hotel room where Dolls had been staying in the hopes of finding something for him to wear at his wake. Nicole shares about the bond she shared with Dolls and how it stemmed from their past traumas. Nicole tells the story of visiting a music festival as a child with her aunt and uncle in the Ghost River triangle. While there, the Cult of Bulshar attacked and killed everyone, with only Nicole surviving the experience. Waverly assures her it wasn't her fault and that if she wants to investigate the matter further, she will support her through it. They continue their search and find an envelope addressed to Wynonna in his briefcase. On the outside, it expresses that it was for her to receive after he was gone.

Waverly and Nicole realise that Dolls knew he was going to die, which Wynonna also learns when she reaches Jeremy's lab. He wasn't performing an autopsy since he knew what was set to kill Dolls and kept it secret according to his wishes. Wynonna is outraged that Jeremy didn't say anything but he retaliates that he was being loyal to Dolls.

Wynonna brings the news to Doc, who is drinking with the no-longer-stranger, Staff Sergeant Ramon Quinn. Quinn is in awe that Dolls managed to stay alive as long as he did because the only thing that would be able to sustain him was the Black Badge serum which is apparently no longer in existence. Quinn shares that he was able to find them because Dolls' squadron would send coded messages to one another using magazine ads. This was done for the purpose of signaling one another to attend each other's funerals without Black Badge knowing. He is the only that came because he is the only one left. The others died but Quinn survived because he wasn't experimented on like the rest of them, due to his having the wrong blood type. Wynonna warns him not to try anything shady and that he has to leave after the wake.

As Waverly and Nicole are leaving the motel, Contessa shows up and steals Waverly's purse with the envelope to Wynonna inside. Waverly is horrified to have lost the letter but they can't go searching for the thief now, or else they will miss Dolls' wake. Waverly tells Doc about the envelope and describes the thief. Doc knows it was Contessa and agrees to help Waverly get it back as long as they keep the matter quiet. The pair leave together discretely while Wynonna bonds with Quinn over Dolls. Quinn admits he is concerned that Black Badge might not be actually gone. But their conversation is interrupted by the arrival of revenants that have been getting high off the serum made for Dolls which they stole earlier. They are aggressive and intoxicated but Wynonna is able to take many of them out with Peacemaker before the remaining ones run off.

Waverly and Doc track down Contessa and get the purse and envelope back. Waverly knows the two had a connectino of sorts and Doc finally admits what it is: Contessa is his wife. She wants to be part of their group but is continually being denied.

Nicole gives Wynonna a tough-love pep talk to push her to make up with Jeremy. She goes to his lab only to find that Quinn is torturing him after learning from Wynonna that Jeremy worked for Black Badge. Now Quinn wants access to the same serum Jeremy had created for Dolls because he wants to inject himself with it so he can attack Black Badge headquarters to avenge his squadron and go out in a blaze of glory. He feels guilty for bringing Dolls back to Black Badge every time he escaped, as a soldier following orders. Wynonna puts her gun down and is able to talk Quinn down and free Jeremy. She then sends him out of town and warns him not to come back.

Wynonna worries that Dolls' body could become a target to ill-intentioned people. To prevent any further harm, and to let him rest in peace, she decides that his body should be cremated. The team bury his ashes with some of his other meaningful belongings. Waverly finally gives Wynonna the envelope Dolls had left for her. Inside is a photograph of her with the entire team. Wynonna takes the gift as a sign that Dolls wants her to keep going with her mission.

Doc visits Contessa again, who shares that Wyatt had told her right before he died that Doc was still alive. That was when she decided she would do whatever it took to be with him. The two then embrace.

Wynonna Earp S03E02 "When You Call My Name" Recap

When last we saw Wynonna and Waverly they had gotten into a bad car crash. Waverly was dragged out of the truck by an unknown figure, while Wynonna was thrown from the truck and over the edge of a deep ledge. Wynonna wakes and hallucinates Mama, something she replies is a sign that she is going into shock. But Wynonna uses the nagging voice as a source of motivation to pop her arm back into her socket and climb up the steep ledge. Once Wynonna gets to the top and returns to the truck she is alarmed to find Waverly missing and is determined to find her, regardless of her mother-hallucination telling her to think of herself since she can't help anyone if she doesn't help herself first.

Waverly wakes in captivity of a man that is not only a revenant, but one that caused the accident on purpose for the sole incentive of kidnapping her. He has taken up residence in the woods but since the environment hasn't been faring well, with fewer options of vegetation and animals available for him to feed on, he's transitioned into eating people. Waverly is the second girl he has kidnapped, with the first victim's body parts still strewn about his cabin.

Dolls is working with Nicole and Jeremy on the investigation into the Cult of Bulshar. Jeremy uses forensic analysis to determine that the victims died within seconds of one another, indicating that the killer is a demon with the ability to move extremely quickly.

The demon that captured Waverly is also able to steal voices and does so to Waverly. He uses her voice to take her calls and tell her loved ones that she's okay.

Dolls visits Doc at the bar and learns that the reason he's been so out of it lately is because he was killed in the alternate reality conjured by the Iron Witch, after which he went to Hell. He doesn't want to believe that this will be his fate once his now mortal life ends. Doc assures him that there is still time for him to do more good and change his fate, but Doc doesn't have much faith that any of the good he does will change his fate.

After Dolls leaves, Jeremy attempts to get to the lab in the basement of the bar and Doc determines that there is something wrong with Dolls' demon-suppressing drugs.

Nicole goes searching for Waverly, intending to search at the Earp home but on the way gets pulled over by a man who tells her about Wynonna's crashed truck. Nicole calls Doc to help search for the sisters. Doc tells Jeremy to call Dolls and have him meet them in the woods.

Wynonna finds the cabin and despite Waverly being mute, is able to be directed by her to reach her without getting caught in the revenant's booby traps. Despite Wynonna reaching the cage, they can't break the lock. Waverly confronts her about the truth about their mother and Wynonna explains that Waverly was so young at the time that Wynonna didn't want to burden her at the time.

Wynonna leaves the cabin in order to find the revenant and taunts him into coming out, even mentioning Bulshar. At the mention of this powerful demon, the revenant becomes afraid and Wynonna is able to kill him. Waverly's voice is restored and the sisters are reunited with Doc and Nicole. Bulshar watches them from a distance. Dolls shows up late, since Jeremy hadn't called him due to his concerns that Dolls had become unstable with his demon side. But of course Dolls had found out and left to help them anyway.

Waverly asks Wynonna how long she knew about their mother and Wynonna admits to having always known. Waverly is devastate that she was kept away from their mother for all these years, despite Wynonna insisting that their mother was the one that didn't want Waverly to know where she was. Waverly asks Dolls to take her home but he becomes distracted by his need for another injection.

Waverly is helping Nicole repel down the ledge to retrieve Peacemaker where Wynonna had dropped it. The fast-moving demon the group was hunting appears and cuts Nicole's rope. He begins to quickly appear and disappear while Doc attempts to capture him. Wynonna grabs the end of the rope to keep Nicole from falling to her death. Nicole struggles to reach Peacemaker while Wynonna struggles to hold the rope. Jeremy manages to radio in and tells Waverly that Dolls is unstable. Dolls eventually unleashes a fiery breath that incinerates the speedy revenant, after which Bulshar slow-claps the team for winning this battle.

Nicole gets back up the ledge and returns Peacemaker to Wynonna who is unable to shoot Bulshar before he disappears. But devastation penetrates the group as they discover that Dolls has collapsed and isn't breathing. No matter what they do, he won't wake. Wynonna is unable to fathom that Dolls is dead but her mother-hallucination returns which together with Waverly encourages her to let Dolls go.

Wynonna Earp S03E01 "Blood Red And Going Down" Recap

When last we saw Wynonna and the rest of her squad, they had defeated the Widows but now have the threat of their dead husband Clootie (now known as Bulshar) to deal with. Wynonna and Doc's baby was given up for adoption, and the now mortal Doc threw Bobo down the well where he himself had once been trapped. Wynonna also visited her mother... whom we never got to see in person (yet).

Four months later, Wynonna is coping as best as she can with the trauma of having and losing her baby. She's drunk on a mission to lure some demons out and it works. Pregnancy hasn't impeded her ability to shoot these demons dead. Plus she still has the team to help her out, with Dolls backing her up in the fight, Waverly and Nicole acting as sniper coverage from the roof, and Doc and Jeremy also providing support.

The following morning, a bus full of vampires arrives in search of the Ghost River triangle. They use some sort of magical ability to charm Sheriff Nedley into inviting them into town. These vampires are part of a group known as the Cult of Bulshar, whom Nicole identifies after they leave a bunch of dead bodies in a particular pattern. Black Badge has been tracking this group since the 1920s. But Waverly and Nicole are quickly charmed into the vampire's side by one of the members called Petra.

Wynonna and Doc have been on the outs since the baby came and went. The only time Doc is wiling to talk to her is when they're training, which Wynonna has been doing in excess. But Wynonna has bigger fish to fry, as she witnesses a man smear blood on a flyer in the club where she's investigating. Wynonna snatches up that flyer and bring it to her mother, who is now in prison. Mama isn't willing to say much but Wynonna forces her to open up by talking about the Cult of Bulshar. Mama admits that she hears a voice that speaks to her about Bulshar. But once Wynonna talks about her intention to end the Earp curse, Mama becomes panicked and walks off screaming to no one in particular that her daughters are off-limits.

Back at Doc's bar, a purple fog engulfs those inside, including Doc and Jeremy. While Jeremy quickly succumbs to the hex of being enchanted by the vampires, Doc is taken captive. Doc wakes tied up to a stripper pole and a vampire tells him that they want to turn him into one of them, since Doc Holliday is a legend. But first they need proof that he really is Doc Holliday. Once this vampire begins torturing, Doc determines that he knew this woman from when he was a human.

Wynonna returns home and finds a vampire in the barn, whom she kills. When she goes inside and Waverly, Nicole, and Jeremy learn what she has done they knock her out, and deliver her to the other vampires in a coffin. The trio then attend a glamorous party where all the humans in attendance are set to either be eaten or turned.

Dolls breaks into the basement of the party venue and is able to free Wynonna from the coffin. He helps her to make a large supply of stakes to take on the vampires. Not only is Wynonna immune to the enchantment of the vampires, but Dolls also displays an ability to be unaffected as Petra had earlier cornered him and he was able to learn about the vampires' plan from her and then leave to rescue Wynonna. He brings a diagram with him from some old Black Badge files which he uses to build a super weapon with Wynonna that they can use to kill vampires, also learning from the file that killing a vampire frees all of the humans that vampire has glamoured.

The vampires are separating the humans into groups, with many set to be eaten. But right on cue, Wynonna barges in and quickly identifies which vampires have glamoured their friends and Dolls kills them. With the team back on track they are able to begin killing vampires. Nicole returns Peacemaker to Wynonna who begins shooting as many vampires as possible while the rest of the continues to stake the others.

Doc is still trapped in the vampire stripper bus but manages to get free from his restraints. Though he is reunited with the vampire who tortured him, Contessa, he doesn't have it in him to kill her and she runs away from themes, telling him to stay inside and safe. He chases after her with his gun but still ends up letting her go, as the two begin to talk in cryptic ramblings about their shared history. Doc then breaks into the party and kills one of the last vampires left who had been the one to glamour Jeremy. Dolls then picks out one remaining vampire that had been hiding in a corner. The only thing he will say is that Bulshar has returned to finish what he started over a century ago. Wynonna opts to leave the vampire alive, who pleads with her to not leave him alive since he can't face Bulshar without any human tributes to give to him. Later the vampire is punished by Bulshar for his failures though it's unclear as to what has happened to him since the only thing that's shown is a mysterious item being forced into his mouth.

Wynonna visits Doc at his bar the following morning, where they toast their latest success in battle and still being alive. Doc kisses her after they take their shots.

Dolls visits Nicole at the club crime scene, where she is shaken up by the recent events and reveals that she believes she was a survivor of one the of the Cult's massacres.

Meanwhile, Wynonna drives Waverly home and reveals to her that their mother is in prison. Their father had told Wynonna to keep this secret from Waverly. But the matter can't be discussed any further since the truck crashes and flips over. Anunknown figure pulls Waverly out of the truck, who screams that Wynona is still inside.
