Once Upon A Time Recap S03E15: Quiet Minds

Bacon cooks up at Granny’s and the group discusses how Gold could still be around. Hook remembers that Neil was trying to get his family back in the Enchanted Forest. Regina wonders what the hell the witch was cooking up with Gold in her basement. Regina returns to the witch’s cabin to look for clues, and when she finds her she doesn’t plan to pull any punches.

Zelena tries to summon the dark one with his dagger, but he’s broken free and he knows too much. She sends a flying monkey to find him.

Gold is running through the forest.

Belle looks over the golden hay, unable to wrap her around the fact that Rumple is still alive. Emma knows that she knows his store best, and Charming points out that if he is back he will come for her. Hook offers to stay behind with her, because he’s good at research he says. Belle finds the offer odd, but Emma tells her that if the witch comes he will protect her, but Belle tells her that he tried to kill her twice. Hook is trying to make amends though, and Belle agrees. Charming suggests that Snow stay out of the woods too, that she needs her rest.

One year ago, Belle helped Neil to look for clues to bring Rumpelstiltskin back. She loved him, even the dark parts, and it took Neil a long time to see the good in him. Now he needs that darkness to get back to the ones he loves. He has a necklace that represents his life with Emma. Belle leads Neil to where they can find what they need in the library. She lights a candle, and it comes to life, Lumiere. Belle watches the candle warily.

Belle passes Hook books to research when she hears someone trying to get inside, its not Rumple like she hoped, but Neil, who collapses onto the floor.

Emma brings Henry some breakfast, and he questions her going back out. She sends him out with Leroy to fish, and he’s willing to go, but he doesn’t believe her. He knows that she’s not telling him something. He wants the truth, or he wants to go home. A phone call interrupts, and she tells him that something is up, but its complicated. For now he lets her go with a promise she’ll fill him in later.

Emma rushes to the hospital to see Neil, but he has not clue what is going on, he remembers Emma driving off, and then waking up in Storybrook. Hook asks if they’re going to tell him, and Charming breaks it to him that Gold is still alive. Emma finds an odd pyramid brand on his palm that was there when he woke up. Belle plans to research it. Neil asks for a moment alone with Emma. He’s happy to see her back and remembering her. He asks to see Henry, but she tells him that her memories are back, but Henry’s are not. He doesn’t know anything about his father, only that he abandoned him. Neil tells her that they have to get Henry’s memories back. Emma isn’t sure its best for him to remember since he was really happy in New York, but he’s Henry’s father, and he has to know the truth.

Belle cannot figure out how she has never seen Lumiere. He tells her that the castle is big, and that he can only come out when all of his candles are lit. He was cursed by Rumple, and he doesn’t exactly want to help resurrect him. Belle tells him that if they help resurrect Rumple then he will restore Lumiere back to his human form. Lumiere tells them where to find the hiding book which holds the key to the vault of the dark one. It is where the first dark one was formed. Belle asks for Lumiere to lead them to the hiding spot, and he will. Neil blows out the candles for now. Lumiere lights his candles one by one when the Wicked Witch comes. She’s the one pulling his strings.

Zelena comes when Snow calls. She’s anxious because she hasn’t felt the baby move for awhile. Zelena gives her some orange juice to try to get the baby to move more, telling her that she may be further along than she thought, or it may be the stress of looking for the Wicked Witch. Snow has been all couped up as the others search. Zelena tries to ensure her that she is working hard, creating a new person. Snow drinks up her juice, and feels the instant result. Zelena is not letting her have the baby without her.

Regina makes it back to the Witch’s cabin, but she isn’t alone. Robin shoots an arrow her way, and she catches it. He thought she was the wicked witch, and he thought her a flying monkey. They make each other’s acquaintance for the first time. She tells him the at Wicked Witch is long gone, and he tells her that she has a partner looking for clues, whether she wants one or not. She feels a case of déjà vu, and a searching they go.

Neil sits in his hospital room looking at his brand. Hook brings him some green jello. Emma put him on babysitting duty, and Neil thanks him for getting Emma to come back. Neil asks how it feels to be the hero after being the villain for so long. Hook asks how it feels to play the villain. So these two aren’t going to be bosom buddies anytime soon. Both are unfamiliar ground. Neil doesn’t think he’s the villain, but Hook is quick to point out that with the brand on his hand he likely used some pretty dark magic to bring his father back. Neil wants to head out to find his father to set things right for him and his son. Hook plans to stand in his way he tells him, and pulls him in for a hug. Neil may be a man, but underneath he is still the boy Hook took care of all those years ago. They got wrapped in nonsense over a woman, and Neil tells him that they don’t have to do this. Hook gives him a ten minute head start before he alerts the others, and Neil makes haste.

Belle cannot stop thinking of Rumple’s sacrifice she tells Neil in the Enchanted Forest, but Neil knows that he died to save them. He wasn’t sure that his father had that sort of selfless act in him. Belle tells him that he regretted what happened with Neil so much, and he would do anything to get back to him. That Neil understands, he would do anything to get back to Henry. Belle and Neil find what they were looking for.

Charming asks Emma how Neil is as they walk the forest. She tells him that it was hard, that Henry makes it difficult. He thinks that if they find Gold then he can bring back Henry’s memories, but realizes that Emma may not stay in Storybrook after they great the curse. A week ago she and Henry were eating fruit roll-ups and playing video games, and now she’s traipsing in the woods looking for the Dark One, hoping he can help her find the Wicked Witch. They hear Gold yelling, and they find him, but he’s clearly not okay. The voices are running rampant in his head, and he cannot concentrate. Charming wants to get him out of there, but the monkeys come. Gold runs for it, and Charming stays behind to deal with the monkeys.

Regina and Robin search through the Witch’s cupboards, but find nothing so far. Robin has heard many stories about the great, and evil queen, but so far he doesn’t see it. Bold and audacious are much better descriptions. Regina admits that the evil part was an effective tool. Robin draws closer, within kissing distance, and pulls a bottle from the shelf. She tells him that it can give courage, strength and even be a love potion, its whiskey, but it isn’t usually so magical the next morning. He grabs a pair of tumblers. They survived a curse, woken up in a new realm, and forgotten a year of their lives, they deserve a drink. Regina remembered a time when Tink told her that she needed love, but Regina scoffed at the idea of a new soulmate, one with a lion tattoo. Regina runs out the door.

Emma looks for Gold, and Neil finds Emma. She admits his father is alive, and that he seems a little crazy, that when she asked him about the witch he wanted to tell her but he couldn’t. Neil joins the search party to Emma’s chagrin.

Lumiere is surprised to see that Neil and Belle found the clearing. Under the snow is the entryway to the vault, with the key hole under. He says that he spent two hundred years in Rumple’s library witnessing more dark magic and sorcery than any other living creatures, but Belle catches his lie. Rumple built the library for her barely 30 years ago. Lumiere admits that it was not Rumple, but the wicked witch who cursed him and wants Rumple back so she can control him with the dagger. Belle wants to leave, knowing that Rumple would never want to be a slave, but Neil only sees that he can come back, and knows that he can if there is a loop hole than Rumple can get through it. Belle worries what the wicked witch can do with the Dark One. Neil only wants an opportunity to get back to Henry and Emma. Belle warns that Gold made the same mistake before thinking he was doing the right thing when he forged the curse. Neil opens the vault anyways, and Neil gets branded. From the depth of goo, Gold rises.

Neil asks about Emma and Henry’s life in New York. They loved it, life was good. He asks if it was lonely. Henry had lots of friends, and she admits that she had someone too. Neil asks it was serious, and she tells him that he proposed and then he turned into a flying monkey. They both have a laugh over close calls with monstrous spouses. Neil tells her that he’s sorry it didn’t work out, he cares, and he just wants her to be happy even if it isn’t with him. Belle calls and tells her that the symbol on Neil’s hand is a key to the vault of the Dark One, she thinks he used it to resurrect Gold. She tells her that the vault will only restore the Dark One in exchange for another life. It’s a one for one trade, so if Neil used that key he should be dead. Neil falls down in pain, morphing into his father. In the forrest Neil fell down in pain as the dark one rose. Rumble saw his son dying when the wicked witch appears. Rumple accuses her of tricking him, tells her that she didn’t tell of the price. She thought that it would have been obvious. Gold sends Belle away, and he refuses to let Neil go. The Wickes witch tells her tthat he cannot hang onto both his son and the dagger. He lets go of the dagger, and Neil melds into him. His madness overtakes him, and the witch tells him to kill Belle. Lumiere binds the witch so that Belle can get away. Bell takes Lumiere and they run for it. Now, Emma thinks that Neil is still alive because Gold is inside of him. Neil hears Gold in his head, and she thinks that he meant Neil when he said that there was no room. Neil asks her to separate them, that she needs Gold more than him. He begs her to use her power to do it. She takes his hands and concentrates, pulling them apart. She’s surprised to see it work, and Gold is distraught over her separating them. Neil confesses that he asked her to do it so that he could tell them who the witch is. Gold tells them that it is Zelena. She wants what she doesn’t have. Emma asks if there is a way to save Neil, but he tells her that its too late. Emma needs him to survive so that Henry can remember him, but he tells her that he doesn’t need to remember him, only tell him that he was a good father. He makes her promise that she will be happy, and Gold cannot watch his son die. He wants to fix it, but Neil tells him that he cannot. Neil thanks him for showing him what it is to make a true sacrifice. It’s Neil’s turn to make the sacrifice now, and tells his father to let him go. They say their goodbye, and Neil dies in Emma’s arms.

Emma and Charming go crashing into his apartment, scaring Snow. They’re looking for Zelena, and Snow is freaked out. They kick in the door to the bathroom, but Zelena is gone. Emma calls Regina for a protection spell, and Charming tells Snow that Zelena is the wicked witch, that Neil brought Gold back, and he died.

Zelena laughs over the results of Neil’s folly. He may be gone, but he gave his life so that Gold could warn the savior, so it’s only a matter of time before she and the others come and kill her. With Neil gone she can control Gold like she wished. Gold tells her that with her identity in the open she’ll never get close to Snow’s baby. She tells him that it doesn’t matter now that she has him, and sends Gold back to his cage. He renters back into the darkness, a little less shiny than before.

Robin plays with his son, and Regina watches from the shadows.

Snow and Charming come to see Belle and Hook, in mourning.

Emma goes to see Henry. She asks him how fishing was, and her face betrays her. She tells him that he was right, that she hasn’t been honest about the case or trip. She tells him that someone was in trouble, and the person wasn’t a client, but his father. She tells him that she found his father, but that she was too late. He was a good man, and would have been a great father, that he was a hero. Henry wishes that he knew him, and she tells him that he did, which doesn’t make any sense with his memory gone. She tells him that she will find the person who did it though, they won’t get away.

Walking Dead Recap S4E16: A

At the prison Carl and another open the gate, while Maggie, Glen and Rick return. Maggie kisses Hershel, and Rick checks in with Carl. Rick goes to help clear off the fences.

Now, Rick sits shaking and bloody watching.

Michonne sits in from of a fire, before they set off to check the snares. The plan is to rest for a few more days to heal up. They’re close to Terminus. Carl asks if when they get there if they will tell the people of Terminus the truth, but Carl isn’t so sure it’s a good idea. Rick plans to tell them who they are. Michonne kills a walker, and Rick collects a rabbit from his snare. He shows Carl how it works for the future. They hear some cries for help, and Rick takes off after them. Rick grabs Carl as the man screaming for help is over taken. There are too many walkers to take on, and the trio make a run for it. They find themselves between two groups of walkers, and they take on the smaller group.

Past. Hershel wakes Rick too early. Since he gave Glenn his watch he doesn’t know the time anymore. Beth takes Judith, and Hershel takes an unarmed Rick.

Now the trio kill the track walkers, and keep on trucking hoping to find some houses or somewhere with food. They find a SUV, with a single goblin of a walker nearby. Michonne takes care of the zombie, and Carl takes shelter into the SUV to rest in. Rick and Michonne camp out outside, and wonder the legitimacy of Terminus. It sounds too good to be true. Rick asks if she would let people in, and Michonne points out that they did.

Joe surprises Rick and holds him at gunpoint, telling him that he screwed up as Joe's men surround him. Um, no, Joe you just screwed up. Joe tells him it’s the day of reckoning. They were thinking of turning in for the night on New Years Eve when they spotted Rick and Michonne. Daryl arrives, and sees that they have Rick and Michonne held at gunpoint. He tells them to hold up. The group doesn’t want to talk, but Joe lets Daryl say his piece, how very diplomatic of him. Daryl tells him that the people are good people, and they should let them go. Daryl tells him if they want blood to take it from him. Joe looks perplexed, he tells him that Rick killed their friend, and Daryl’s claim that they are good people is a lie. The pack turns on Daryl for his "lie," and one of Joe’s thug’s pulls Carl from the car. Rick tells Joe that it was just him so take him and leave the rest. Joe tells him that first they will beat Daryl, kill him for his lie, then they will have the girl, then the kid, and then kill him. Rick goes into Rick mode, and beats at his captor. Michonne breaks away, and Carl fights back. Joe grabs Rick thinking he has the upper hand, until Rick tears out his neck with his teeth walker style. Michonne gets a gun and starts shooting men, and Daryl manages to kill a few scumbags too. Rick takes his time stabbing the one that held Carl as Michonne holds Carl.

Past.  Hershel proposed planting and domesticating horses and pigs. Rick agrees that it’s a good idea, but Hershel cannot do it alone. Rick tells him that they need him. Hershel tells him that Carl needs Rick to show him the way, that they need to decided what their life will be. Hershel owes Rick a great deal, and they have an opportunity to make things better. Rick thinks that changing things inside, doesn’t change the outside, it doesn’t but they can have a life.

Back to rick sitting outside the SUV bloody, and shaky. Inside, Michonne sits with Carl, watching him sleep. Daryl returns with a bottle of water, tells Rick to clean up. He admits that he didn’t know what the group was, that he was with Beth for awhile after the prison, until she was gone. After that the group found him, he knew they were bad, but they had a simple code, and he thought it was something, enough. He knew they were looking for a guy, he was planning on ditching them, when he saw that it was Rick, Michonne and Carl. Rick tells him that it isn’t on him, and that being back with them now is everything. Rick tells him he’s his brother. Daryl tells him that what he did last night, anyone would have done. Rick knows that not everyone would have. He will do anything to keep them safe, and that’s all that matters. Rick and Michonne walk together, Carl and Daryl take up the rear. She looks at him, and he tells her that he’s okay, and she knows, because she’s okay too. They find another sign, they’ll be there before sundown. Rick sends them into the woods to scout the group, since they know nothing about them.  They sneak around back, spread out to see what each see before heading back. Carl chooses to go with Michonne rather than stay with Rick. She tells carl that he never asksed how Andre died. They went to a refugee camp, and it got worse and woese, people were giving up all around. When she returned from a run she saw that the fences were down, the moaning all around. Mike and Terry were hiding when it all happened, she could have stopped it, but instead she turned them into her pets. They kept her safe, hid her as a monster umong them, She was gone for a long time, but Andrea brought her back, Rick brought her back, even Carl did. She tells him that she sees how he looks at his dad, ,and assures him that he doesn’t have to be afreaid of her or her dad. Carl tells her that his dad told him the other day that he was a good man, and he tries, but he still has bad thoughts. He doesn’t think that he is what his dad thinks he is, he;s a monster too.

Rick difs a hole and gides a cache of guns. Daryl watches in silence, and Rick tells him its just in case. The group climbs the fence and sneaks in. Daryl sees a woman doing the terminus broadcasting, and the group inside isn’t exactly surprised to see them inside, Albert is on perimeter watch they lament. Gary asks if they’re there to rob them, Rick says no they just wanted to check them out. Gary understands that they’re nervous, tells them that they came for sanctuary. They ask to see all the weapons before they take them for interviewing. They lay down their weapons and allow them to be searched. ____ tells Daryl that he’d hate to see the other guy, and Rick says that he would. Adam asks Carl if they deserved it, and he says they did. After the little pat down, they get their weapons back. Adam tells them a little about Terminus. It’s been there since almost the beginning. Adam brings them to Mary, who’s grilling up some food. Rick notices some familiar things: Glenn’s backpack, his riot gear, Daryl’s poncho that Maggie was wearing, and Hershel’s watch. He grabs Adam at gunpoint, no one takes Hershel’s watch, or messes with his friends

Past. Good old Patrick builds with some legos. Although they were grabbed for Carl, he’s more than happy to build with the child’s toy to get his mind off things. Carl cleans his gun. Rick tries to get his attention, he needs his help h tells him, and asks him to leave the gun behind.

Rick wants to know where he got the watch and the other items. Adam tells them that they got the watch from a dead guy, and had stories about where everything came from. Rick isn’t buying it, because it doesn’t match up with what he knows to be true. Someone gets twitchy takes a potshot, and Rick shoots Adam as all hell breaks loose. The foursome hold their own as they move to get away, but they find themselves trapped. Making it through the building they get outside, but the sniper isn’t all that good, or rather they’re leading them somewhere. They pass a pile of bones that are laid out in the sun to dry. Oh, they’re so leading them through their little mouse trap. They come to a room full of candles with names on the floor, the victims perhaps. Michonne doesn’t think that the Terminus people are trying to kill them. The foursome come to a fence full of people with guns, the chase is up.

The rooftop sniper orders them to drop their weapons, and have them surrounded, they really have no choice. Rick drops his and the others follow suit. He tells Rick to go to the train car, and that if he cooperates, the boy can go too, otherwise he dies, and Rick goes anyways. Rick heads towards the train car, they tell Daryl to go next, followed by Michonne. They stand before the door, but they don’t go in. Rick wants his son, and finally they tell Carl to go. Rick wants to wait for Carl, but the sniper wants Rick to lead the group in. Rick opens the door, and they file in, with Carl bringing up the rear. The train door is closed, and its happy reunion time. It’s Glenn, and they see it’s also Maggie, Bob, Tara, Sasha and three they don’t know: Abraham, Earl and Rosita. Maggie tells them that they’re friends, they helped save them. Daryl tells them then they’re friends of theirs too, Abraham agrees for however that will be.

Rick shows Carl how to farm, but gives his hat to Beth when it gets in Carl's way. Hershel tells him that it can be like that all the time, it’s a happy time.

Rick tells the group they’re going to feel pretty stupid when they find out. Find out what Abraham asks. They’re screwing with the wrong people Rick answers. Looks like rick is ready to unleash a monster, but we’ll have to wait until October to find out. Did you all enjoy the season finale as much as I did?

The Musketeers S1E10 (Finale) - "Musketeers Don't Die Easily" Recap

A drunken Athos holds Milady captive and reveals to the group that she was his wife and is the Cardinal's spy. Milady pleads for help form D'Artagnan and he's forced to admit that she was his benefactor and they slept together once. The Musketeers are angry and D'Artagnan won't let Athos kill Milady. D'Artagnan is shot in the scuffle, ending up wounded on his side.

Charlotte pleads for her father's life and tells the King that executing him would cause tension with Prussia and Sweden. The King tells his private council that there is more to the story than meets the eye. Captain Treville says that the note could have been forged and when the Cardinal presses for Count Mellendorf's execution, the King tells him off.

Outraged, the Cardinal berates Milady for her antics with the Musketeers. He feels that he may be found out and orders her to kill the Musketeers. She tells him Musketeers don't die easily but says she will get it done. He warns her that this is her last chance.

Milady visits the injured D'Artagnan and asks if she can trust him. She finds that the his wound grazed his ribs and attempts to drive the wedge further between him and the other Musketeers. She says the Cardinal could be his patron but he says he hates him. She tells him things are finished between him and the Musketeers and also attempts to employ her powers of seduction to bring him to her side. He asks what really happened between her and Athos.

Constance learns from Aramis and Porthos about D'Artagnan's fight with Athos over Milady and blames herself for driving him into her arms. Aramis tells Porthos in private that Constance loves D'Artagnan and that you only have to look at her to see it.

Milady tells D'Artagnan about how Athos' brother Thomas lusted after her and she had to kill him when he attempted to force himself on her. She says she did it for love and that Athos was blind to the truth after learning that she had once been a thief. She reveals her neck wound and says that it is what Athos did to her. She wants him to murder Athos but D'Artagnan doesn't want to murder his best friend. Captain Treville comes to visit D'Artagnan and tells him the dissent in his ranks cannot continue. He kicks D'Artagnan out of the Musketeers, saying Athos is the finer soldier and cannot lose him. Angered, D'Artagnan tells Milady to be in the town square in midday and he will kill Athos.

D'Artagnan visits Aramis and Porthos and things become further prickly when Athos comes out. Captain Treville orders them all inside where they will settle things.

Milady pays a visit to her old mentor, Sarazin, who is delighted and entertained when she kills a man he had just ordered to kill her.

Once inside, the Musketeers all laugh and reveal that their fight has all been part of a plan to get to the Cardinal. D'Artagnan tells the group that Milady wants him to kill Athos. Then, he will have won her trust over.

Milady wants Sarazin to help her kill the Musketeers. His feelings are hurt after she ran away to work for the Cardinal so she offers to pay him for his services. He says that the only payment he wants is for her to come back and work for him. She says she has outgrown him but he points out that she wouldn't be there if she wasn't desperate. She has no choice but to agree.

The Musketeers execute their rouse of D'Artagnan seemingly kill Athos while Milady watches from the shadows. A young girl approaches Constance and tells her D'Artagnan has just killed Athos and needs his help. D'Artagnan asks Milady to arrange a meeting with the Cardinal. She kisses him and when she doesn't believe his passion, says that he is in love with Constance. He denies it and she agrees to take him to the Cardinal. Constance follows the girl, who had tricked Constance in order to get her captured by Sarazin.

D'Artagnan wants protection but the Cardinal wants to have him executed. D'Artagnan holds Milady at knifepoint. He tells the Cardinal that Captain Treville has a letter that could incriminate the Cardinal and offers to get it for him. He advises the Cardinal to use him as bait to get the letter back. They think that the remaining Musketeers will want D'Artagnan so they can avenge Athos' death. D'Artagnan asks for safety in exchange as well as a commission in the Red Guard.

When a bottle rolls to Constance, she breaks it and uses a piece to saw through her restraints. She slashes the face of the girl guarding her but when she reaches the door, Milady and Sarazin are there. Milady knocks her down with a blow to the face.

Bonacieux confronts Aramis and Porthos, demanding to know where constance is. They don't know and tell him that there's no way she is with D'Artagnan. Sarazin sends the girl away, telling her she'll never be beautiful again and therefore is no longer useful.

Aramis tells Porthos they cannot tell D'Artagnan about Constance or else it will distract him. A messenger delivers them the message from the Cardinal regarding the exchange for D'Artagnan. They head off to meet the Cardinal and before handing off the letter, they confront him about what he wants. They goad him into revealing his motives. The Queen is barren and without an heir, the kingdom will fall. They hand over the letter and the Cardinal finds that it is blank. The Queen steps out and having heard everything, says that the Queen might not believe the Musketeers' word but will certainly believe her. Everyone bows low and the Cardinal tells her his motives were for France. She tells him she will spare his life because she believes his devotion to France and that the betrayal would break the King's heart. "You have been warned, Cardinal."

The Musketeers tell the Cardinal they want Milady and he gladly gives her up, saying she is no more use to him. D'Artagnan learns of Constance's abduction and is highly worried. They ride off to meet Milady, who says she has already won since Athos is dead. Seeing their smiles, she turns around to find Athos standing there, very much alive. They hold her at gunpoint and she warns them that her death will lead to Constance's death. She arranges a meeting to give up Constance in an hour, saying only the Musketeers may come. Athos warns the others that it will be an ambush and she has no intention of letting them live. They prepare for battle and say the famous Musketeer chant: "All for one, and one for all."

Harrison puts Constance in the middle of a square and then walks back. Armed men are surrounding the area, preparing to ambush the Musketeers. With the help of a covered cart, the Musketeers begin an ambush with guns and hand bombs, taking many of the men out. They being their move forward and continue to take out their enemies. The fight shifts from guns to swords/knives and the Musketeers display their impressive set of skills. All the men have been taken out but now Milady is holding Constance at gunpoint. Athos moves forward and pleads with Milady to stop. Constance uses one of D'Artagnan's moves to get free from Milady, running to him and tearfully telling him she didn't mean any of what she said. Athos tells Milady it's over and orders her to kneel. She removes her collar and tells him to kill her. The Musketeers tell Athos he doesn't have to do this and he changes his mind, telling her instead to go to another country, threatening to kill her if she ever returns. She tells him neither will have peace until they are both dead and walks off.

D'Artagnan tells Athos he is glad he saved her and Athos says that perhaps he was saving himself. D'Artagnan and Constance share a public kiss, enjoying their love. A woman runs up and tells Constance that her husband has tried to kill himself. She returns with D'Artagnan and finds her husband pathetic and broken. He tells her that if she leaves him, he will kill himself because his life will be worthless. He says his life will be on her hands. Constance shows D'Artagnan out and bids him goodbye, saying she cannot leave him like that.

The Cardinal is summoned before the King. He looks worried, as the Musketeers and Queen are both present. The King then reveals good news - the Queen is present. (Fairly certain that's Aramis' baby). The Queen has asked that the Count's life be spared and the King has granted her wish. The Queen asks to speak with Aramis alone - because that's not suspicious at all. She tells him she is certain it will be a boy and that he will have his father's courage. He vows to watch over her son and guard him with all his strength and heart. He will lay down his life for him if necessary. The Cardinal walks in at the end of their exchange and from his expression, it would appear he knows that the Queen's child is fathered by Aramis.

The Musketeers enjoy a quiet moment. Athos is still the only one who knows about Aramis' affair with the Queen. The others know there is some affection but nothing about the baby-making. They reflect on the fact that though they don't have glory, money, or love, they do have honour.

Series 1 of The Musketeers will air in June 2014 on BBC America.
The Musketeers will return on BBC One for Series 2!

Da Vinci's Demons S2E2 - "The Blood of Brothers" Recap

Lorenzo is still trying to kill Leonardo, who informs him about the blood transfusion. He then begins hollering, wanting to know where his brother is and Vanessa tells him that he died in battle. Lorenzo then asks to be taken home. Andrea tells him the streets are dangerous and the Pazzis are growing stronger, planning to invade the city. Da Vinci shows Lorenzo to the window so he can see the fighting happening down below. The city needs its leader.  Lorenzo is broken, grieving from the loss of his brother, saying all is lost. Vanessa then chooses this moment to reveal that she is pregnant with Guiliano's child. The news reinvigorates Lorenzo, who asks for a sword so he may return to the palace. Leonardo tells him he will need more than a sword.

Zoroaster and Lucrezia pop up to the surface. As it turns out, Lucrezia had passed him a hairpin via the kiss they shared before being thrown overboard, having remembered Leonardo saying that Zoroaster was a master at lock-picking.

Count Riario visits Nico, trying to coax him to his side through flattery and attempted manipulation regarding Leonardo's supposedly not valuing him. Nico asks why he is keeping him alive and Riario says it is because he likes him.

Clarice is visited by some men who want to take control of the Medici banks, believing Lorenzo to be dead. She orders them sent away. Leonardo gets to a high point with good acoustics and decides to have Lorenzo come up and speak to the people. He delivers a speech to rally them behind him and those that had previously been listened to the Pazzis instead let out the Medici rally cry. The Pazzis are forced to flee. Clarice, having heard the speech, opens the doors and orders the guards to go out and apprehend the Pazzi traitors.

Leonardo helps Lorenzo onto a horse and guides him back towards the palace while the Pazzis are brutally murdered. Lorenzo greets his wife by publicly commending her for her strength and bravery. She welcomes him home and Lorenzo rallies the people once more.

The Pope must re-evaluate his plans to seize Florence. He creates a new alliance and begins new plans to take over.

Lorenzo wants to get new weapons but Leonard says this will only temporarily hold off their enemies. He tells him about the Book of Leaves and how he believes obtaining it will put an end to the war. Lorenzo is annoyed by what he sees as Leonardo's abandoning the city but grants him permission to leave.

Clarice visits Franceso Pazzi, and tells him he will be killed the following morning, while all trace of Pazzi will be erased from history. She also tells her brother that he will be killed. He pleads for mercy, citing his profession as a cardinal, but she reminds him of his traitorous ways and the attempt made on their lives on a Sunday. He says he is her brother and she responds that she has no brother.

Zoroaster and Lucrezia steal some clothes and prepare for their journey back to Florence. Zoroaster makes it back to Leonardo's workshop and tells him about Nico's being Riario's captive. Leonardo is upset about both this and not having his ship, crew, or map to pursue the Book of Leaves. Zoroaster says he has someone who can help but tells Leonardo he must stay calm. It's then that he reveals Lucrezia being with him. Zoroaster and Andrea leave them alone. She provides the name of a man who can help him get a ship, crew, and a map. She wants nothing in return except for Risario dead. She admires Leonardo's tenacity in fighting to move past the restraints of his birthright. Leonardo returns a pendant that belonged to Lucrezia's father, saying that perhaps she could return it with his regards. She says that it's hers now and wants him to keep it. She will have to leave him in order to be free and they both shed tears at having to part.

The people of Florence gather to watch Francesco's execution. Both he and Clarice's brother are hanged and the people cheer. Zoroaster is not pleased with Lucrezia's idea, telling Leonardo is not to be trusted. Their relationship is still tense. Zoroaster says he will follow Leonardo to the end of the earth to get Nico back but after that, he'll be gone. He doesn't care about the Book of Leaves. They come to find the man Lucrezia advised and he was playing dead till Leonardo figures out he's faking since the death-stench was wrong. The new plan is to head to Pizza and steal one of their ships.

Vanessa visits Clarice, who tells her she will stay with them since Lorenzo has found hope in her offspring. Vanessa is not pleased, preferring the freedom from outside the palace walls, but she doesn't have much of a choice. Lorenzo practices his eulogy for his brother's funeral. Clarice comes in and comforts the grieving Lorenzo. Leonardo visits Vanessa to say goodbye before he departs on his journey. She says she wishes she could go with him but Leonardo says he wouldn't be able to keep her safe, let alone her child. Leonardo tells her the Medicis are wise will come to realise how lucky they are to have her with them. Leonardo's father comes in to tell Leonardo that Lorenzo wants to have a final word with him. Leonardo tells his father to take care of this bastard better than the last one (meaning himself).

Lorenzo asks Leonardo if he really believes the Book of Leaves with help and Leonardo says he believes it can save Florence. Lorenzo shows him a sword given to him by his grandfather. The sword is actually two swords in one. He was meant to share it with his brother but gives Leonardo the other sword, citing a script about blood flowing in veins. He asks Leonardo to return to Florence after his quest is completed, along with whatever wisdom the Book of Leaves contains. Leonardo notes that there are words inscribed on the blade. Lorenzo tells him it speaks of freedom and it is time for them to save Florence.

Twisted Terror Convention Opens Strong

Leave your comic books at home, because as the name implies TWISTED TERROR CON is all about the screams. A new addition to Sacramento, this horror infused convention has brought not just current horror faves, but also our heroes from the past.
For its inaugural convention it boasts a good guest list. There's Gil Gerard and Erin Gray from BUCK ROGERS IN THE 25TH CENTURY, Kevin Tenney, the director of 80s classics WITCHBOARD and NIGHT OF THE DEMONS, Sean Whalen of PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS, Josh Stewart from THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, Nicholas Brendon from BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, Kyla Kennedy and Chandler Riggs of THE WALKING DEAD. There are many more guests scheduled as well, but these just happen to be my favorites.
In addition, there will of course be dealers galore, as well as a film festival in the screening room.
Being the first day of the convention, and rainy out it was a pretty good turn out. The big headliner was obviously Chandler Riggs. He doesn't come out often, in fact, this was his very first West Coast appearance, and the girls definitely came out to see him. With minimal security on hand, he wore a look of concern most of the time, but was very sweet when posing for pictures and signing autographs. However, unlike his very chatty co-star Kyla, he remained mostly tight lipped. He was dressed very Carl, just missing the trademark hat.

Nicholas Brendon is always a stop, when he's in town. As a fan favorite from Buffy, and a frequent con guest, he's always up for chatting, hugs, and pictures.

Sean Whalen was remarkably chatty as well, and surprisingly my little one had to get a picture of him. He's really great with kids, though I'm not sure how many of them approach him. I remember him most for his scary turn as Roach in People Under the Stairs, though she knows him only as Mantooth from Wizards of Waverly Place. He even did the Ooogy Ooogy Boo for her.

The one guest who may have been the favorite was sweet little Kyla Kennedy. With her gushing mom by her side, she told the story of her casting as the ill-fated Mika, and how the part was originally meant for a boy, but they changed the role after her audition.

Tomorrow marks the close of this con, so if you're in the Sacramento Area, its definitely one to check out. There's no word yet if they'll be back for 2015, but its certainly a hope. Also, to close out its first weekend there will be a raffle. The prize is a Twisted Terror Con program signed by all of the special guests, as well as a leather “skeleton” motorcycle jacket signed by horror master and metal legend Rob Zombie and his beautiful muse and wife Sheri Moon Zombie!
The Twisted Terror Con takes place March 29th and 30th, 2014 at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Sacramento, CA.

Helix S1E13 (Finale) - "Dans L'Ombre" Recap

In a flash-forward to Day 235, we see a silver-eyed man being tortured by Alan, demanding to know where "she" is. He threatens to board up the door and the man says he fears who he works for far more than Alan. Alan says he knows all about Illaria. The man taunts him about trying to contact all kinds of people about Illaria but no one believed him. The man tells him to go ahead and that all he has is time.

Go back to Day 13 and Julia is demanding to know where her mother is, threatening to kill the Scythe if he doesn't talk. He merely taunts her and she strikes him out of anger. Alan pulls her out and tells her that they can't act like them or they're no better. Julia says she doesn't want to be better - she only wants her mother back. She heads out and sees Hatake grieving over Daniel's body. She offers to let him be alone but he doesn't want her to be alone. She asks why Daniel sacrificed himself for her and Hatake says that he knew he would have made the same choice. She points out that Daniel grew up there but Hatake barely knew her. He says that she is his daughter, flesh and blood, and nothing will change that. He thinks she hates him but she says that she doesn't. She only wants to understand why he didn't tell her her mother was still alive. He didn't want to give her false hope and put her in danger. He didn't want to fail Julia but he already failed by allowing Illaria to take Julia's mother and use her against him. Julia realises that Hatake created the Narvik virus to keep her alive and had no choice. Illaria would have hunted Julia down and now they certainly will.

Toluk and Anana discover the missing snowmobile and can't find any tracks or clues as to where Balleseros is. Anana says he won't last a day out there. Toluk wants to face reality - he might be dead. Anana wants to keep looking. Balleseros is shown to be walking through the snow, pepping himself to take "just ten more steps."

Sarah tells the people in the bunker that she'll be gone for just an hour, wanting to search for Alan. One of the doctors wants to run a blood test on her, since she's not looking so good. His lab is just upstairs.

Peter wants to torture the Scythe but Alan tells him not to. Alan tells the Scythe to contact Illaria and arrange to have Julia's mother given back to them. The Scythe tells them they've already lost. Alan says they have the virus and the cure but the Scythe tells him to check the newsfeed on his device. Alan and Peter find that there has been an outbreak of a virus people are calling "Black Blood." They're wondering the virus got off the base and Alan simply says, "Balleseros."

Balleseros is show again in the snow. He has collapsed but the base is within sight. Anana and Toluk are still looking for him. Anana still firmly believes he is still alive. She doesn't want to leave him out there and Toluk tells her that he made his choice and she needs to honour that.

Balleseros wakes in the base and is smacked across the face by Blake. She spotted him on the base perimeter cam. She says she was tempted to leave him out there and only brought him in because she needed back-up. He learns that the Scythe is with Alan and Peter and that Blake has the virus and the cure. Julia learns that about the contained outbreak and they realise that it must be Narvik A since there have no reports of vectors.

Peter is tasked with babysitting the Scythe while the others plan an assault on Blake to get Julia's mother. When they get in, they find Balleseros, who has just knocked out Blake with the gun she gave him. They end up in a stand-off. Julia says she just wants the crate and tells Balleseros it is her mother. She is permitted to check on her status. Balleseros didn't know about the breakout and says he just wants the list of the Inuit children. Blake wakes and tells Balleseros he's dead and just doesn't know it. Balleseros shoots Blake when she won't stop talking.

The scientist examines Sarah's blood and when he finds elevated levels indicative of cancer, he turns around and finds that Sarah has run off. Balleseros is still demanding the list and the locations. Alan is horrified and Hatake says he is not that many anymore. Balleseros will surrender the virus and the cure in exchange for the list. Hatake says there is no written list but he has the information memorised and offers to write them down.

Julia helps her mother, who doesn't appear to recognise her. Julia gives her name, and Jade says she has a little girl with the same name. Jade asks to be let go, saying she needs to take care of her daughter. Julia says she will take of her first. Balleseros gets the list and gives up the virus and cure. Hatake hands the tubes to Alan.

Peter visits the Scythe, who begins to taunt him with knowledge of his life and history. Peter says he doesn't know him but the Scythe says he understands him. He says he has made a career following in Alan's footsteps. Peter gets angry and puts a knife to the Scythe's throat. The Scythe tells him to get it over with and instead of killing him, Peter cuts the restraints keeping the Scythe bound to the chair. Peter tells him he has no idea what he's put him through. It turns out Peter was the one who smuggled the virus off the base. The Scythe tells Peter that together, they will shape the future of the world. The Scythe then knocks Peter out, warning him that it might sting a bit.

Julia tells Alan that her mother has all kinds of heavy-duty tranquillisers in her system and still remembers Julia as a little girl. Jade then tells them that her mind is fine but her body is what's weak. They tell her where she is and she remembers it, saying she lived there for nearly six years. She opens her eyes and recognises that Julia is her daughter. She says she is even more beautiful than she imagined. She says she wished she had the courage to take her away much sooner. She wanted to keep the family together and had hoped Hatake would change. He was too ambitious and she was a fool. She apologises, saying not a day went by that she didn't think about her. Julia introduces Jade to Alan. Julia says that they were married and Jade says that she has missed a lot. Hatake comes in and is reunited with Jade. She is amazed that Hatake looks exactly the same. An alarm goes off to indicate a perimeter breach. They're unsure who it is.

Balleseros is out in the snow, fiddling with a snowmobile and sees people approaching on snowmobiles. Alan, Hatake, and Sarah meet Balleseors, Anana, and Toluk, who say that they have come to help, bringing more people on snowmobiles. They learn of Daniel's death and Anana is devastated. An injured Peter comes stumbling out with a bloody head wound. Hatake is concerned that they won't be able to escape the Scythe. Alan says that no one is infallible and Hatake says he has only one weakness. Peter looks worried.

The team is preparing to evacuate on the snowmobiles. Alan hands the viles to Julia and she kisses him godbye. Peter looks on sadly. The scientist approaches Sarah, who says that she doesn't want to hear about her cancer being back. He tells her that it's not cancer; she is pregnant. She'll need a more reliable test back home, but he still congratulates her. The team opens the door and finds the Scythe standing with the detonator. He sets it off and explosions go off all throughout the base. Alan calls out for Julia, and finds her being held at knifepoint by the Scythe (his name is Spencer, by the way). Jade comes out of the wreckage with half her face burned, trying to talk Spencer down and offering to go back in Julia's place. Spencer is angry about being called Spencer and slashes Jade's throat. A helicopter comes down and the Scythe grabs Julia and the viles and pushes her onto it. Alan chases after it and throws something onto it. The Scythe goes to look at it and finds it is his mother's head. Alan grabs onto the helicopter as it rising and grabs a vial before being pushed out. The helicopter flies off as the base burns.

Day 235 - Alan is in France at a cafe and reads about the Narvik virus. He gets an Ilaria card secretly passed to him and he scratches the wall behind him - undoubtedly a message for someone. He gets up and meets with Peter, who asks if he found Julia. Alan says he has and that he thinks she is still alive. Peter is relieved and asks how he found her. Alan tells him he doesn't want to know. Alan tells him that if he's not at the checkpoint, to go on without him. They part ways. Alan heads towards an Ilaria building. Inside, a meeting is about to take place. Julia comes in, silver eyes gleaming, and asks in France, "Shall we begin?"
