Barry Allen may be the fastest man alive. He has been working for a long time to get justice for his mother, and to free his father, and that day is today. Barry confronts Wells finally. He wants to know the truth, why Eobard/Wells killed his mother. Wells hates him, not the him now, but in the future. They hated each other a lot, and they fought, but neither could defeat the other. Wells learned his secret, and he decided to go back into time and to kill Barry. But Future Barry followed him back. They both landed some great shots, but Future Barry managed to save his younger self. Then Wells thought, what if Barry was dealt a devastating blow. It could be enough to derail the superhero. So he killed Barry's mother, and he was free he thought. He would be able to return to the future without a Barry Allen. He ran into a snag, he lost his way, he couldn't get home. He had lost his ability. So the only way to return was to create the Flash. He had to help Barry harness his gift so that he could create a stable space time worm hole so he could go back home. Barry doesn't see why he would do that. Wells offers him a way to save his mother from death, save his mother from prison. Barry refuses, with rage in his heart. Wells understands why Joe and his father look at him with such pride, and he's now giving Barry the chance to right Wells's wrongs, to negate his evil.

Dr. Stein thinks that the paradox that Wells is giving him is an interesting proposition. Caitlin sees it as a no brainer, to be reunited with someone you love. Dr. Stein explains, the night that Barry's mother died, he went back and saved himself made a parallel universe, like when Barry traveled recently. Joe points out that he only changed one day that time. Dr. Stein tells them to imagine 15 years being changed. One different decision has a butterfly effect. Nothing would be as it is today, and none of them would remember it. Barry thinks about it. If he goes back and changes his mother's death his father would never go to prison, and he would never go to live with Joe and Iris. Cisco wonders if there would be a him. If Caitlin would be with Ronnie. Dr. Stein tells them that there is no way to tell what there would be. Joe tells Barry that he has to do this, that there isn't a choice, he needs to change the past.

Barry follows Joe out of the room. Barry wants clarification, that he wants him to do it. Joe thinks that its the right thing. Its the chance to get back both of his parents. Barry points out that he won't have a father, but he will Joe tells him. He'll have back his father. It's time to undo the wrongs Wells caused, its why he became a super hero, to put things right. He's saved a lot of people this past year, and now its time to save himself. Oh the feels.

Barry pay his father a visit. His father thinks it sounds crazy to turn back time. Barry isn't planning on turning back time, but actually going back. Joe thinks he should do it, but his dad doesn't. Things happen for a reason. He believes that, he's had to believe it. Barry wants to save his mother. His father knows that by saving her, it will change their past, and he fears that it will change Barry. He's so proud of the man that Barry has become, and if by going back he changes what makes Barry special, he knows that his mother would never want that. As much as he loves his wife, he doesn't want her back at his son's expense.

Caitlin looks over Ronnie. He admits to her that he's back for more than just Barry. He wants Caitlin back. He thinks that he's in control of his powers enough, and he loves her.

Barry does some heavy thinking on the roof, when Iris finds him. She's done plenty of her own thinking up there, when she wasn't having some clandestine meetings with the Streak. She and Barry share a laugh about it, before she turns to more serious matters. She asks if he plans to undo it. Barry hasn't decided yet, its a big decision. Iris thinks how his life would be different, how theirs could be different. They might even be married, Iris West-Allen. I vote a big no to saving the mom if this is the future. Barry tells her that won't happen. Living with her, growing up with her made it hard to admit his feelings for her, but it also made him love her, to have a family with her and Joe. Iris thinks that he should stop thinking about everyone else, and think about himself.

Barry goes down to see Wells, who admits that it took him longer to decide than he had anticipated. Barry asks how the grand plan would work. Wells tells him they'll use the particle accelerator, but this time it'll work. And this time instead of two particles smashing into each other, there will be just one. If Barry can go fast enough, when he smashes into the particle, it'll tear a hole in reality, making a portal that will connect this time into infinite times. Barry can travel to the past to his mother's time and save her, or to the future to Eobard's time. If he doesn't run fast enough, he'll die.

Dr. Stein looks over Wells's plan, and how it should work. Barry asks Cisco for his opinion. Cisco thinks that it looks pretty sound, but isn't sure why Barry would ever consider doing this. Caitlin asks the real question, for this to work how fast does Barry actually have to run. Mach 2, which is faster than Barry has ever had to run. Barry tells them not to worry about how fast he' needs to go, he needs something else. Cisco isn't really into the thought of helping Barry kill himself.

Barry needs a time machine. He explains that Wells gets his speed back at times, but can't control it since he killed Barry's mom. The wheel chair was helping him discharge himself. Wells has most of the parts for the machine to get him home, they just need to put it together. Ronnie looks over the pieces. Cisco reminds him that its not an Ikea bookcase. Ronnie notices an issue with the parts. Made out of tungsten, the heat from the worm hole could pose a problem. Cisco heads down to confer with Dr. Evil.

Cisco pays Wells a visit. He asks how he fit his Reverse Flash suit into a ring, but he rally doesn't want to know, while he paces. Wells looks over the schematics, and sees that Ronnie was correct. Cisco is brilliant, and he tells him that there are so many times that he wished that Cisco was with him while he rebuilt the accelerator. Cisco tells him that doesn't change the fact that his little time sphere will blow. Wells gives him an alternative to the tungsten that will work, and Cisco goes to try that. He turns his back on Wells, and Wells asks him if that is all. Cisco doesn't know what to say. Wells thought of all of them that Cisco would understand, he doesn't belong back in this barbaric time. He feels like he's living among the dead. Cisco asks if that's what he told himself when he killed him. Wells is confused. Cisco explains it was an alternative time line that Barry reset. The memory kept coming back to him, the way he looked when he called him a son, before he crushed his heart with his fist. Wells apologizes. He's not sorry for killing him, he's sure that he had a reason. He's sorry that he was able to see the vision, but it confirms his thoughts. The night that the particle accelerator exploded, Cisco was affected too. Cisco doesn't believe him, he doesn't want to. Wells tells him not to be afraid, a great and honorable destiny awaits him. He only hopes that he remembers who gave him that life, and that it was given out of love. Cisco cannot get out of there fast enough.

Dr. Stein moves Eddie from the work station that he's seated at. It's running some very important calculations. Eddie goes to leave, but Dr. Stein stops him. Everyone has an important contribution to make. Eddie admits that he doesn't. Wells was very clear that he doesn't matter in the future one bit. He doesn't save the day or get the girl. Dr. Stein is surprised that he believes it. He had a newspaper from the future. Dr. Stein has a mug that says World's Greatest Boss, that he's sure his teaching assistant would find misleading. They're dealing with a lot of big scientific ideas today, but he still thinks that Eddie may be the most interesting thing at STAR Labs. Stein points out what would be the likelihood that Wells gets stuck in the past with his numerous Greats, great grandfather. A part of his plan to get home would mean that he would have to protect Eddie. Its a big scientific unicorn of coincidence, one that no scientist can plan for. Eddie is an anomaly. He's the only person in the whole story that gets to choose his own future. The computer shows a big giant problem. Stein alerts the rest of the team. The calculations show that there is a danger. Wells didn't tell them everything. Even if Barry reaches the speed, the collision could create a singularity, a black hole. They could not only destroy Central City. If they can't control it, they could destroy everything.

Wells knows that there is a risk. Stein doesn't think that causing world wide destruction is a risk. Joe points out that his accelerator hasn't exactly been trusty so far. Wells has been fighting Metahumans with them for a long time, and before that he had been planning this for years. Cisco needs more assurance that they're not opening up a black hole in Central City. When the wormhole stabilizes then Barry will have almost two minutes to save his mother, and return to this time. Plenty of time to close the wormhole, but not enough time to stop Eobard from returning to his time. It leaves no time for error, but Wells has confidence in Barry, he always has. He wonders if Barry's other friends and family have that same confidence in him.

Barry struggles with the decision. If he doesn't run fast enough then he's dust. If he does run fast enough, and doesn't get back in time he destroys the world. He asks Joe if he still thinks that its best that he goes back. Joe admits that he's unsure. He was faking the confidence earlier, its par for the parenting course sometimes. He just didn't want Barry to not try because he was worried about him. Barry will always worry about Joe, as Joe will always worry about Barry. He's sorry that he can't stop that. He asks if Joe thinks that he can do this, if he can save his mom, if he's fast enough. Joe doesn't hesitate, he does. Barry has dreamed his whole life of saving his mother, saving his father. He never thought to do so that he'd have to sacrifice one of his parents. He was so focused on that loss, he never considered what he gained that night. He was borne with one father, that tragedy gave him another. He doesn't think he could lose him now. Joe is sure that he will never lose him.

Eddie goes to see Iris at work. She thought that he would be at STAR Labs. He was hungry, so he went for dim sum take out, but also to remind him of something. A year ago, he had a date with a dancer. They had plans to meet at the restaurant, but she had to cancel. Eddie had dinner there anyways, and when he was walking home he met Iris. Someone just told him how powerful coincidence can be, that some had to happen. Everyone has been so focused on Barry's destiny, that he forgot that he had one too. He sees now that Iris is his destiny. He tells her, screw the future, and kisses her.

Stein explains the Ronnie that before he could go off to college his father made him become a Rabbi, so the ceremony will be legit. Caitlin walks out clad in white. They skip the hebrew, and Ronnie gives Caitlin a ring. Caitlin doesn't need a real one. She doesn't care about all the tragedy that has happened, because it lead them here, and he's all she needs. Stein pronounces them man and wife, and Ronnie kisses his bride while the others watch on.

Caitlin hugs Barry to say goodbye. Cisco tells Barry to remember that there will be three of him. He tells him to wait until the other him saves the younger him before he saves his mother. Barry hugs Joe, his father goodbye. Iris kisses Barry on the head goodbye, before going back to Eddie. Barry heads into the Particle Accelerator. Stein's voice comes over the intercom reminding him that if he does reach the speed he needs to he'll have less than two minutes to save his mother and get back. Wells speaks to him last. He has confidence in him that he will be able to do this, and get him back. He tells Barry to run, as he has done so many times. The machine starts up, and Barry starts running faster than he ever has before. The room shakes, and they worry about the accelerator, but Cisco tells them that Barry just hit Mach 2. As Barry runs he sees moments of the past, and the future. Wells tells him that he's seeing the speed force, his past, present and future. He needs to focus it to get back, to think about his mother. As Barry sees his mother, Stein's coffee does the floaty thing. Wells sees the fruition of his plan. Stein tells him to inject the hydrogen particle, and Barry disappears. The worm hole opens. It's stable for the moment, and the clock starts.

In the past Barry watches the events unfold, waiting for his time. He sees himself and Eobard battling, he watches himself come in and take himself. It's time to save his mother, but he turns his back, letting Eobard stab her again. When Eobard leaves, Barry goes in. His mother is dying. He comforts her, telling her that her son is safe. She asks who he is, and he tells her that he is the Flash. He removes his mask. She tells him that he looks just like her father. He tells her that it won't make any sense, but he's her boy. He got a second chance to come back, to tell her that he's okay, he and his dad are okay and they love her. She tells him goodbye, with a smile on her face. Barry weeps over his mother.

In present day, the clock continues its count down. It's time to say goodbye to Harrison Wells. Wells marvels at the time machine. Rip Hunter would be proud, he was the first one to build one of them. A helmet comes out of the worm hole, and that's his cue to leave. Wells thanks Cisco, who tells him not to ever come back. Wells gets inside of his machine, powers it up, and prepares to go to the past. 30 more seconds on the clock. Home is just on the other side. Barry comes flying through the worm hole, smashing Wells's machine. Stein tells Caitlin to shut down the worm hole. Wells doesn't understand why he didn't save his mother, he could have had everything that he ever wanted. Barry already does. The pair fight as Caitlin and Ronnie run to shut down the generator. Ronnie is hit with a blast, and knocked back as Caitlin hits the power just in time. Ronnie seems to be okay. Wells gets the upperhand on Barry. He tells him that after he kills him he's going to kill his father. In the end he always wins. There's a gunshot, and Wells lets Barry go. Eddie shot himself in the heart. He took his own destiny in his hand, there are no such things as coincidences he says. Cisco explains that as Eobard's ancestor, if Eddie dies then Eobard never exists. He's being erased. Eddie is a hero, that's all he ever wanted to be, a hero to Iris. He dies in Iris's arms. Eobard turns to Barry. He's controlled Barry's life for so long, he asks how will Barry get along without him. Eobard disappears in a hail of light, and the worm hole begins to reopen. They have to go, and now. Iris doesn't want to leave Eddie's body, but they don't have a choice as the worm hole becomes a black hole. There is panic in the streets. Captain Cold, and Hawkgirl all see black hole. Its like the tornado, but bigger, upside down and scarier. Barry has to try to stop it. Barry's' father sees him from his cell as he runs straight up and into the black hole to try to stop it.

And that is how you wrap up a successful first season. That ending was amazing.

Barry is getting faster, faster than he's ever been. He wonders if its because his past is stalking him, if its on the verge of catching up to him. Barry delivers pizza from far away in Coast City Caitlin declines the delicious fare. Joe gives the update. They've had no luck with all the investigation of Dr. Wells. They're thinking to go back to the beginning. Joe and Cisco are heading to the scene of Dr. Wells' accident, since that was when he changed. Caitlin thinks that the loss of the love of his life could have been enough to change him, but Barry thinks its more. He's sure that Wells is the Reverse Flash. Cisco asks her to cover for him while he's away, and that may be too much for her. She doesn't like the lies, the suspicion. Joe isn't sure Caitlin is on board, but Barry is sure she'll come around. He wishes Joe luck , fearful of what he'll find.

Nina is spacey as she lets out her co-worker, and then she gets to work. She goes through a few safe deposit boxes, removing all of the goods. Eddie shows Nina the video. She tells him that it couldn't be her, she left work early.

Eddie tells Barry about the case. Nina has no priors, and everyone who knows her says that she's the nicest person who they would never suspect would do anything like this. Eddie suspects that it could somehow be the work of a metahuman, and Barry agrees. Iris asks where her father is. He's taking some personal days, and she hasn''t been able to reach him. It appears that Iris has been taking some of the same between him and Iris too. Eddie warns Barry that Joe and Cisco had better find something, because he's about done lying to Iris.

A man take some jewelry in to be appraised, and the jeweler takes the diamonds back to take a closer look under his microscope. He calls the police about the stolen gems.

Barry goes to Caitlin to make sure that she's okay with the plan. She isn't. She really doesn't like the lie. Wells has helped him out numerous times, he's saved his life, and he doesn't deserve their suspicions. Wells pokes his head in, asking what they're chatting about. Barry tells him about the current metahuman case he's working, frustrating Caitlin with another lie. He asks about Cisco, and she has to tell him yet another lie about him helping out his cousin. Barry gets a call from Eddie about the diamond thief. He thinks the man has made him, and needs the Flash's help. Barry runs off to help. The man has definitely made Eddie, and Eddie tries to stop him, but he''s a lot more crafty than he looks. He gets away from Eddie, but Flash arrives on scene. He can't' outrun him, but he can outsmart him with his chameleon skills. He changes into the person he touches and continues the game until he loses Barry.

Barry tells Wells and Caitlin about the shapeshifter. They can transform into anyone they're touched. Wells points out that he could even transform into Barry. Caitlin is worried about the exposure of Barry's identity, but Wells isn't sure that the metahuman couldn't also absorb his speed. No touchy the metahuman for Barry. They try to figure out who the shapeshifter could be, and trace the crimes where people swore they were innocent even though they were caught on film. Wells easily traces it back to a month after the particle accelerator exploded. Barry will pass the information along to the police, and Wells is glad he could help.

In Starling City, Joe and Cisco meet with Quentin to get information on the Wells accident. There isn't much, it was cut and dry. Wells and Tess were on a drive, their tire blew, Wells lost control and Tess died. Quentin asks what they''re looking for, but Joe isn't sure. Cisco asks to be taken to crime scene. Its been 15 years, and Quentin thinks the pictures will be a better lead, but he's happy to take them. Laurel comes to pick up some statements, and her father makes some introductions. Recognizing Cisco's name, she asks if she can talk to him alone. He's more than happy to follow Laurel anywhere. Quentin asks after Barry, if he's okay after getting struck by lightening, and Joe says he's fine.

Laurel leads Cisco to a private room, he asks her how she knows Barry. They aren't friends, rather friend adjacent. Cisco doesn't spill Team Arrow's secrets, claiming that the three that she's mentioned have nothing in common, but Laurel is in the know about the secret identities. He asks how she knows, and she reveals that she's Black Canary. Cisco is quite enamored, and suspicious. Laurel has been using Sara's sonic device, and wants to know if he can modify it. He has a few ideas.

Caitlin does a little of her own research on Wells.

Wells arrives home, and dechairs. He pours himself a drink when Caitlin rings his bell. Grumpily he goes back to his chair to answer the door. Barry flashes Caitlin out of there, leaving no trace of her behind. Caitlin wanted to get some answers from Wells directly. Barry tells her that she cannot talk to him. She can't let them destroy him and her over their suspicions. When Barry was in a coma, she experienced the worst time of her life. She lost her fiance, her reputation. Wells stood by her side and told her it was going to be okay. If Wells is who they say he is, then everything she's worked for has been a lie. If Barry is right, and she tells Wells then he'll never be able to get his dad out of prison. Caitlin can't believe he's pulling the dad card, but she's willing to wait until Joe and Cisco get back.

Eddie and Barry go to check out the best friend of the first likely shapeshifter case. Hannibal hasn't been seen in a year, his grandmother filed a missing person for him. She's a little confused when they ask her about it, she forgot she made the filing. She claims her memory is failing, and awkwardly asks to get them some coffee or tea. She insists on it. Eddie and Barry look around while she gets refreshments, but really she's busy making a break for it. They split up to search for granny, who's morphed into a younger form. Barry calls into Wells and Caitlin. They advise him not to let Hannibal see him running at Flash speeds or touch him. He has to give chase like a normal person. Eddie stays hot on the suspect's trail. A patrol car comes to assist, the officers get out asking what Eddie wants them to do. He shoots them, and the camera recording the incident. Barry breaks into Flash speeds. The fake Eddie gets away, while the real Eddie finds the down officers. Barry arrives, and Eddie tells him to call 911, as sirens close in.

DA Cecile and Captain Singh look over the video where it looks like Eddie shot the two officers. Captain Singh knows that his officer is innocent, but it looks bad. All she can do is keep him out of Gen Pop at this point. Captain Singh asks if Barry has any way to explain it all, he doesn't yet, but he will. Iris comes in a panic, she''s heard the news. Barry tells her that she can't see Eddie at the moment, but he'll uncover the truth.

Quentin arrives to the scene of the Wells accident with Joe and Cisco. Cisco has a super metal detector that picks up sound waves. Joe and Quentin bond over their daughters. Joe and Iris have a pretty strong bond he tells him. Quentin and Laurel went through a rough patch, she lied about something pretty big, and they're still working through it. Cisco interrupts. He's found some tacheons, little bits of time travel. Joe asks if he's sure, and Quentin's coffee does a little floaty display confirming Cisco's findings.

DA Cecile questions Eddie who insists that he did not shoot the officers. Barry races in with the test results of Eddie's hand swab. He didn't have any traces of gun residue. DA Cecile points out that it still looks like he fired his gun. Barry insists that it was just someone who looked like Eddie. The DA fires back that he's suppose to be the scientist. Even Eddie has to admit that the video looks damning. Barry is sure that they can convince her. Eddie is sure that they'll put him away. Barry uses his speed to get him out of the building. He tells Eddie to go to STAR Labs, and that they'll set him up with a burner phone. Eddie refuses to run. Barry can't stand by while an innocent man is sent to prison. Eddie tells him that Barry isn't a child, and he's not his father. He has faith that Barry can find Hannibal and clear him. Barry agrees. He takes him back. Eddie tells him to get him out of there the right way.

At home. Barry talks to Iris on the phone. He's just there to shower before he plans to return to his lab and work on clearing Eddie. There's a knock at the door, and its Eddie. Barry is very surprised to see him. Eddie tells him that Captain Singh called in a favor and got him released. He was just on the phone with Iris, and he asks why he didn't call her. He turns his back on Eddie, and Eddie knocks him out. It's Hannibal. He assumes Barry's form. Poor Barry is tired and taped up. Hannibal goes through his wallet when Caitlin arrives. She thinks that she has a way for the shapeshifter to stop shifting. She explains it to the wrong Barry, and immediately sees that something is wrong with him. She knows that it has to be hard for him, with him trying to solve his mother's murder and all. She asks if they can bury the hatchet between and work together to find this “Everyman.” Hannibal likes the nickname she's given.

Cisco gets to digging where the tacheons are and Joe spots a hand. Cisco isn't so excited about the find. Quentin wants to call it in, but Joe doesn't want him to do that just yet. Joe insists. If its who he thinks it is, then anyone who knows about it is in danger, including his daughter.

Caitlin thinks that she's got the concoction completed, she just needs to give the thing a spin. Hannibal Barry continues acting oddly. He asks if the serum will rid him of his powers permanently, or temporarily. It'll only be long enough for them to stop him. Barry bumps into Caitlin and she asks him what he's doing as she heads to her desk. He grabs her, and kisses her. Caitlin knows something is really wrong. He kisses her again, and an alarm sounds. Iris is coming. She's been looking for Iris everywhere. She was thinking that it may have been someone who has done this before. She did the same research that Wells did before. She then hacked into the police footage for Eddie's video. Caitlin stares at Barry, while he acts dismissive of Iris. She tells him to look again. Eddie isn't left handed. Iris knows that Eddie is being framed. She gets all puffed up about it, and Hannibal Barry pulls the gun out of his pocket, but doesn't get a chance to use it as Wells tazes him. Iris is shocked. Wells tells her that her observations were spot on. The man on the floor is left handed as well. Iris wants to take him in. Wells thinks that Caitlin and he should keep the man instead. Caitlin sides with Iris, and offers to help her.

In the car, Iris tells Caitlin about Mason, who kept a file about all of the unexplained events of the city, and how Hannibal belongs in that file. Caitlin jokes that it must be a large file. At the light Iris tells her that in that file was also the burning man. Caitlin gives good poker face, and tells her she thought that was just legend. Hannibal wakes up, transformed into a little girl and screams for help. Some construction workers come to see the commotion. Caitlin tells Iris to drive, but there's no place for her to go. The men open the door, and Hannibal slips from her cuffs, taking off. Caitlin yells that she's dangerous, but the little girl gets far away.

Still all taped up at home, Caitlin finds Barry still unconscious. She slaps him awake. He tells her that smelling salts works just as well. He also tells her that Hannibal was there, but she already knows that.

Joe has found what he was looking for. Quentin thanks him for getting him out of the office for the day. He'd still be a detective if he could, the body just can't take it anymore. Joe sees Laurel. He knows something that could make it better.

Laurel sees Cisco packing up. She asks him if he had a chance to work on her item. He did. He made it smaller and better, with a much larger range. She's surprised that he was able to make it so quickly. He's had some workings with sound waves recently. He thinks she should call it the canary cry, and she likes the name. She gives him an envelope telling him that if he shows it to anyone she'll kill him, and she means it. Inside is a picture of the two of them, her in the full black canary costume. It was worth it.

Wells shows them how Hannibal's powers work. He can look like anyone, but he can't appropriate memories or abilities. Touching is back on the table. And best yet. Caitlin has made a serum that will stop him from changing. Barry thanks Caitlin, and she jumps at his touch. No touching for her. They get a ping Barry's cell phone. Barry heads to the airport. Barry looks around, not recognizing anyone. He notices a woman in the body scanner, and her image jerks on the screen. Barry has found the shapeshifter. Hannibal assumes the form of the security guard as he tries to make a getaway. Barry isn't fooled, and he goes all Flash on him. He corners Hannibal who shifts into Caitlin. She begs not to be hurt as she pepper sprays him. Flash gets back up, knocking Hannibal down, who shifts into Iris. Barry doesn't even pause this time. Hannibal shifts to Eddie next, and then to Flash. It's Flash on Flash, but Hannibal doesn't have Barry's speed. Barry gives him the smack down, and he uses the serum on him. The serum takes hold immediately, and Hannibal shifts through forms. When he turns into Iris he collapses.

Eddie has been released. Captain Singh watches the security camera footage with DA Cecile. This is unlike anything that she's ever seen. She isn't sure that the law can deal with this kind of criminal. Captain Singh is thankful that the Flash is around to handle stuff like this. Barry gives her a list of the other crimes that Hannibal was involved in. It's a very long list with many innocent people to be cleared. The DA admits that she saw the Flash in person once, and it was pretty cool. Eddie tells Iris that the charges have been dropped. She's so happy about it. He has more to confess. He needs to tell her the reason that he's been so distant lately. He reveals that he's been working with the Flash.

Behind his glass case, Hannibal tries to appeal to Barry as Iris, then Caitlin to release him. Caitlin can't believe that anyone would fall for that. Wells has seen Hannibal take many forms, but wonders which is his actual one. Hannibal changes into a bald male, with no eyes, admitting that he cannot remember. It makes them all feel a bit uneasy. They close up shop, and seal the prison. Barry has something to show Caitlin.

Barry takes Caitlin to the remains that Joe and Cisco found. They've run the DNA multiple times, its definitely Wells. There is a reason that Wells completely changed after the accident, because he was a different person.

At the police station, Wells has arrived to give Eddie his regards, when Joe spots him. It was a close call for Eddie. Wells asks Joe if he enjoyed his time in Starling City. Joe tells him that there wasn't much time for sight seeing, he was working on a case. Wells use to work there, but he doesn't go back. There are too many memories of Tess. He points out that Joe knows that kind of loss too. He never talks of Iris's mother. Joe doesn't. Wells thinks that they're both members of an exclusive club, one where the membership is too expensive. He proposes that they have a drink again sometime. Joe thinks that they should.

Cisco flips through some pictures. After the explosion he made a map of STAR labs, but he never when through the schematics to see why the accelerator malfunctioned outside of the tunnel. As he searches he finds a room that should not be there. Cisco, Barry and Caitlin head to the location. Cisco finds tacheons where the room should be. They enter inside and not only find Wells's Reverse Flash suit, but also the newspaper with the headline of the Flash disappearing during the crisis.

A pair of men try to evade Eddie and Joe. This is the third attempted robbery of the night, Joe wonders if all the criminals of the city have gone crazy. He calls Barry, who speeds on by. He's not alone though, He has an indecent exposure. Eddie worries that their pursuants are getting away, but Flash plans to take care of them. There may be a bit of a space issue Eddie points out. Flash takes care of it, paying musical cars. He places Joe in the suspects car, one suspect in the squad car. The other thinks that they've lost the cops, but Joe tells him that he's under arrest, and best of all, he's already cuffed.

Another crime. The jewel thieves think that if they hurry they can get away. Joe and Eddie arrive on the scene, and the Flash speeds in stealing their weapons. He laughs at the crooks, and Joe laughs with him.

Dr. Kang says good night, leaving the applied physics and robotics. There's a buzzing in her car, her doors lock right before bees begin to pouring though the vents.

Eddie fills Joe in on their case. Dr. Kang is a tenured doctor. Barry tells them that her whole body is covered with puncture wounds, he's not sure what. But it looks like she went into anaphylaxis shock. When he gets the results back from the labs he'll know more. Joe reminds him that it'll be faster if he uses STAR Labs. Barry feels awkward around there at the moment, but Joe reminds him that they have to play things normal so Wells doesn't suspect they know anything. He gets it, but he thinks that they should tells Cisco and Caitlin. Joe thinks that the fewer people who knows is better, or worse that they're in on Wells' plans. Joe asks that he not include them until they're sure.

Caitlin finds that it was death by honey bee venom. Cisco goes all Indy about the bees, he's not a bee fan. There were no stingers found in the victim. It seems that the metahuman involved has found a way to not only control the bees,but up their venom levels. Cisco contemplates a bee keeper suit, but Barry is sure he can outrun a bee. Felicity warns not to run into a lake, the bees will wait for him, and then sting him when he comes out. Barry asks what Felicity is there for, and she asks them to come outside.

Outside, they have no clue what they're waiting for. Cisco wonders if its a bird, Caitlin a plane, but no its not Superman, not anymore at least. Its Ray, Felicity's boyfriend in the ATOM suit.

Caitlin runs tests on Ray, while Barry points out that Ray is a little tall for Felicity. She asks if he's jealous. He's not, but he thinks she has bad timing. Caitlin is done with her tests, and she wonders what about billionaires makes them want to be superheroes. Cisco, alias inventing extraordinaire, asks if he's come up with a name yet. Ray is pretty partial to the ATOM. Wells finds the ATOM suit to be a technological achievement. Wells is never impressed. Ray can't seem to keep it up, the suit, his man parts are fine as he and Felicity bumble to correct his word vomit. Could the two of them be any cuter? He thought since they were able to perfect Barry's Flash suit, they could help with his ATOM one. Any friend of the Arrow is a friend of theirs. Cisco is more than happy to play with the suit. Barry thinks that they have a lot on their plate already with the Bee, but Wells is sure that he and Caitlin can provide plenty of assistance. Felicity is troubled by his response though, and leaves Ray at STAR Labs, while she takes Barry on a coffee run.

Iris pays Eddie a visit at work, on business. She's looking into the fact that there is a serious decline in crime, and wonders if he's working with the Flash. He denies it. Iris isn't believing him for a moment. He caught a flasher, 2 armed robbers and 2 jewelry thieves. If she didn't know him better she'd think that he was hiding something. She thinks that he's acting weird.

Iris leaves. Joe jokes that she's never at work. Eddie can't keep lying to Iris, its affecting their relationship, but Joe thinks its still best for Iris, to keep her safe. Eddie thinks he's wrong, but until Eddie is her husband, Daddy gets to make that call.

Felicity and Barry have a cup of coffee. She left the city to get away from the brooding. Barry tells her that now just isn't a good time. Felicity worries that its because she told Ray his secret, but she assures him that Ray is trustworthy. Barry admits that he doesn't want to put anyone else in danger, before he can confess further Eddie interrupts. He stands there awkwardly, and Felicity wonders if he's in a bad mood too, if everyone in the city is. She thought Central City was suppose to be the fun one. Eddie tries to get an aside, but he tells him that Felicity already knows. Eddie is shocked, everyone but Iris knows. He wonders how he can keep lying to her. Felicity tells him not to think of it as lying, but as keeping her from getting hurt with a fib. Iris can tell he's hiding something, and its hurting their relationship. Felicity offers a group date, Iris had a lot of fun last time. Eddie is up for it, but it only makes poor Barry more solemn, as the fifth wheel.

A businessman complains on his phone as he enters the building. Emily Kinney, Miss Queen Bee herself, is sitting on one of the chairs waiting. She tells the bees in her hand that the man is bad, and its time for them to get to work.

Cisco marvels at Ray's suit. He thinks that they should be generating enough energy to power the suit, but he's likely overheating the suit. He suggests insulating, and Ray compliments Cisco on being so clever which jogs a memory of sort. Cisco remembers Wells saying the same thing before killing him, in that time loop that Barry ended up erasing. Ray fiddles with a machine, pulling Cisco out of his thoughts and back to the now. Cisco lies that he hasn't been sleeping, and Caitlin calls him away. Killer bees are at it again.

Caitlin sends a message to Barry, who races off to look into the attack. Eddie rushes out to get Joe. Barry is too late. The bad man is already dead. There's no sign of bees Barry thinks, and then suddenly the body erupts with bees. Barry runs away from the bees, but he can't find an escape. The bees have him surrounded. Joe arrives on scene. Barry runs from the building in a cloud of bees, and collapses. Wells sees on his monitor that Barry is going into cardiac arrest. Joe tells Barry to stay with him. Joe calls Cisco. Barry doesn't have a pulse. He tells Joe to step away from him, they need to jump start his heart and there's a defibrillator in the suit. They shock Barry at 300 jewels, nothing. Wells ratchets it up to 400, and Barry is back.

At STAR Labs Cisco announces the defibrillator to be DOA. Well thinks Barry is lucky to be alive. Felicity was very specific not to die. He asks what happened, he followed Cisco's directions exactly. Cisco apologizes, his schematics weren't up to date. That's never happened before. Felicity is sure that Cisco didn't do it on purpose, and Barry is a little paranoid. Wells tells him that it is their job to keep him safe, but today they failed. Its a warning to be more vigilant in the future. Caitlin announces that all the toxins are out of his system, and Barry takes a second to do a quick change so they don't miss their date. Caitlin thinks he should order in, since he was dead, and even Ray is on board, but Barry will hear none of it. They head out and Caitlin wonders why they didn't get an invite. A bee made it back with Barry, and flies out of his suit.

Felicity, Ray, and Barry arrive. She compliments Iris on her stunning looks, and introduces them to Ray. Ray leads the way, and Iris wonders how they got a reservation, she's been trying for months. The waiter leads them to their table, and they see that the entire place is empty. He thought it would be nice to have some quiet so he bought out the entire place. Ray, being over the top without meaning to as always.

Cisco pays Joe a visit, which is good. It saves him a trip. They got information back on the second victim, he was working in robotics as well, like Kang. Cisco finds it weird, but not why he stopped by. He wanted to talk to Joe about Barry. He wonders if there is something going on with him, something that he's not telling them. He feels like there is something bothering Barry that he's not sharing. Joe tells him that he's just focused on the bad guys, and he's probably worried about when the Reverse Flash will show his face again. Cisco remembers more, he remembers seeing Wells revealed as the Reverse Flash. Joe asks Cisco if he's okay, and he mumbles about a headache before running out of there.

Eddie asks how Felicity and Ray met, she says work, but he elaborates. He bought the company where Felicity worked so she was forced to join him. Felicity assures them that its not as creepy as it sounds. Iris finds it interesting that they work closely together. She assumes they share all their thoughts, and feelings. Ray admits they share everything. Felicity sees where this is headed as Iris sees the good in sharing so much. Felicity says that sometimes its good to sometimes leave things unsaid. Eddie sees the good in that, but Iris, not so much. Barry is relieved to see the food coming out. The first course arrives. Ray envies Barry and all the time he gets to spend at STAR Labs. Wells is a personal hero. Barry tunes out the gushing, and excuses himself. Felicity follows suit, and finally corners Barry. He's been acting weird since she arrived, and she's not taking its a bad time as an excuse. Oliver may be training to join the League of Assassins, Laurel is the Black Canary, and Thea is training with Merlyn Malcolm, she knows bad times. Barry confesses that he and Joe found out that Wells isn't who he said he is. He's the man that killed his mother. It doesn't make sense, because he's been helping him get faster and stronger. Felicity is sure that Caitlin and Cisco aren't on the darkside, but Barry isn't so sure. Wells too has saved him many times, and he was wrong about him. Maybe he's been wrong about everything else, he has no clue who to trust. Ray interrupts, things are getting a little intense out there.

Eddie just wants to have a nice evening. Iris doesn't see how she's to blame for the fact that they aren't enjoying themselves. She doesn't think she should have to beg him to open up to her, she's his live-in girlfriend. Eddie admits that if he could talk to her about this, he would. Iris decides to leave. When he's ready to act like two people who love eachother, then he should call her. For now she'll be at her father's. Iris leaves, and Eddie chases after her. Barry gets a call. There's an emergency at STAR Labs. He runs off leaving Felicity and Ray to finish their 17 courses.

Cisco fires some crazy weapon trying to hit the bee. The bee heads towards Wells, and he begins to move his leg to get away from it, when Barry runs in, and captures the bee. Cisco takes it to see what makes it so dangerous, and finds that it isn't what he was expecting. The bee is a tiny robot. As Barry gets a closer look at the bee, the Queen gets a look at him from her computer monitor as her swarm flies around her. Cisco is impressed by the bots vision system, Ray picks up on the lingo. It can see all around the room at once. It's disturbing and innovative technology not on the market yet. Wells asks where the victims both worked in the past, and Felicity jumps at the chance to put her fingers to the keys. They were both former employees of Mercury Labs.

Wells, Joe and Barry head to Mercury Labs, and meet with Christina, an old associate of Wells. She asks if they've found her prototype, or if they're there to blackmail her for another. Wells asks if there was another. Joe asks her about her former doctors, both dead. She had no clue they were killed, she tells them that they're looking for Bree Larven. A brilliant robotists that made weapons grade bees for military applications. The doctors warned her that Bree was weaponizing the bees, so she was terminated. Joe figures that Christina would be on the hit list as well, but she also knows of Wells's inability to keep things safe, and opts out.

Barry tells Felicity of their findings. Joe is tracking Bree at the moment. He asks where Ray is. Ray is working on his suit with Cisco. Barry likes him, he's a good guy. He is a good guy, as is Cisco, and Caitlin she tells him. Barry questions if that is why she called him there. Felicity knows that he has his back against the wall, but that's when you need friends the most, and he should trust them. Barry is worried, because Wells is their mentor, and there's a chance he could be very wrong. He's unsure what to do. Felicity confesses that when she first met Oliver, before she knew he was the Arrow, he would ask her to complete ridiculous tasks. When she would ask him about them, he would lie, but she would do them anyways, even though she knew he was lying, because she knew he had a good heart. Cisco and Caitlin are no different.

Barry comes home and Iris is there. He's surprised that she's actually staying there. She doesn't plan to leave any time soon. She asks if he thinks Eddie is cheating on her. Barry knows that he's not that kind of guy. Iris isn't sure what else he could be hiding. He asks her if she remembers her father's blank face that he use to come home with at times. He never understood it until he started working for the department. Seeing some of those crimes can be ugly work. Barry is lucky he gets to hide behind his lab, but Eddie is out there in the darkness. If Eddie doesn't want to talk about his work, its probably because he wants to keep her in the light. Iris is surprised that Barry is going out of his way to make her see Eddie's point of view. Eddie makes her happy, and he only ever wanted to see her happy.

Caitlin and Felicity watch Ray and Cisco work on the suit, boys and their toys. Caitlin thinks Felicity is super lucky to have a guy so smart and hot. Felicity offhandedly remarks that its like dating Barry in Oliver's body. Oh, Felicity. She swears Caitlin to silence. Wells sees that the bees are on the move, and Felicity traces where the bee's signal leads. They're headed to Mercury Labs.

Bree's swarm heads to Christina's office window. They move together to form Bree's image. She asks her if she plans on opening the window, or if she has to buzz herself in. Christina has no intention of letting her in.

Barry suits up, he wants to know how to stop her. Wells figures she has to be controlling them remotely. Cisco wants the bug eyed glasses woman stopped, her bandits too Ray points out. Ah the team up, she's dubbed Bug-eyed bandit. Felicity finds her likely location. Barry worries about Christina, but Caitlin points out that the defibrillator in his suit is broken, he cannot go to Mercury labs. That gives Ray an idea. Bees can't penetrate his suit. His suit hasn't been tested since the upgrades, but there's no chance like the present to do the testing. Cisco and Caitlin plan to follow in the car. Barry looks to Wells. Ray will protect Christina, he needs to take out Bree.

Bree blames Christina for ruining her. She fired her, and destroyed years of research. Christina tells her that what she was doing was wrong. She was hurting people instead of helping them, she had to do what she had to. Now the Bree plans to do what she has to. The Bees attack.

ATOM approaches Mercury Labs. Felicity can't jam the bee signal, but she can divert it. ATOM prepares for the incoming swarm. Felicity diverts the signal, and he fires on them. The bees give chase.

Flash makes it to the Bee hive. He knows that she's trying to kill Christina, that she betrayed him. He knows how that feels. She doesn't think he knows what real betrayal feels like, but she's about to show him what it feels like to be stung. It looks like Bree didn't send out her whole swarm, there's plenty of bees still in the hive, and all headed to attack the Flash. He speeds out of there in with bees in hot pursuit. The Bees freeze just in front of the Flash. Felicity was finally able to hack into the bee's frequency, she has control of the hive for a moment, but Bree is working hard to regain control. Felicity finally has a nemesis of her own, and she likes it.

ATOM leads the bees away from Mercury Labs. Cisco directs him towards the water, to fry the bee circuits. Ray points out that his own circuits will fry too, but leads them anyways. He jets out over the water, and then rises high. The bees go down, but Ray was right, his circuits are frying, and he's losing propulsion. Cisco tries to keep an eye on Ray. He tells him to head towards the van, that they'll catch him. Caitlin is surprised to hear his plan. Cisco jumps into the back and prepares for ATOM's landing. He awkwardly makes it into the van, and delivers a not so gentle high five to celebrate.

Felicity and Bree work to out hack each other. The STAR Lab computers begin to fry as Bree hacks. Barry sits in peril while the girls battle it out. Felicity refuses to let Barry be injured. She warns Bree off Barry, then kills all her bees. Boom mic dropped, game over.

Barry stresses at his desk. Christina comes to apologize. She should have listened to his warning about Bree, next time she will take them up on their protection offer. Barry understands her hesitation after they lost her Tacheon prototype. He stops her from leaving, to ask her about the tension between herself and Wells. That's all in the past she tells him, but Barry wants to know more. She and Wells were close, and bright young minds fifteen years ago, but that all changed when Tess died, you know right when Eobard took over. She understands how grief can affect someone, but after that day Harrison Wells became a different person. Joe comes to see how Cisco is. He's happy to be alive, but sad that Ray is leaving. I'm with him on that one. Felicity and Ray were too much fun. Barry sees how selfless and brave he was.

Felicity and Ray get ready to leave. Barry thanks him for all his help, and hopes that he figures out his suit. He thinks he did. He thought he needed to go bigger with his power, but taking a note from the bees, smaller may be the solution. Felicity asks if Barry is okay one last time. He will be. He's taking her advice.

Iris waits for Eddie at his desk. She tells him that she spoke to Barry last night, and Eddie is on the edge of his seat. Barry gave her a good explanation for his distance, and it may even be valid, but it doesn't matter, when you love someone you tell them everything. Iris gives him an ultimatum. He either tells her everything or else, because that always ends well. Iris leaves him with that thought, smiling to Barry as she leaves. Eddie is left with a hard decision.

Caitlin and Cisco meet Barry for what they think is a karaoke jam session. But they're not going to Karaoke. Barry admits that he's been gathering information about his mother's death and the Reverse Flash for a long time. He then shows them everything that they know about Wells. They're the same person he tells them. Caitlin doesn't believe it, it can't be true. She doesn't think that it makes sense, and turns to Cisco for back-up. Cisco confesses that he's been having dreams, mostly at night, but sometimes during the day. They don't feel like dreams at all, they feel real. In them Dr. Wells is the Reverse Flash and he kills him.

Wells finally revealed his secret to Cisco, and Barry had to admit that Joe was right about Dr. Wells, but a bit of time traveling nulled that timeline, as well as the kiss he shared with Iris.

15 years ago. Barry's mother puts Barry to sleep when a pair of speedsters enter her home in a fight. They fight around her, and she ends up dying.

Barry shows everything that he knows about Wells. Wells is a speedster, and his machine made Barry the Flash, it's all connected. Since Barry got struck by lightening Wells has done everything he could to make Barry faster. They're unsure if he's the Reverse Flash, but he's something. Whatever Wells wants from Barry he's been patient, scary patient, since this all started fifteen years ago.

Balloons float down from the sky. They look innocent enough, until the balloons touchdown and begin exploding. Barry runs in and saves one of the children before he can grab the explosive gift.

Joe, Barry, Cisco and Caitlin watch the Trickster's video as he claims responsibility. He's a copycat killer, copying a nutcase from a few decades ago. James Jesse was the original Trickster, one who terrorized the city, causing many casualties. Barry points out that he was the most lethal until the accelerator accident. Joe and Barry plan to pay him a little visit and see what he knows about his groupie. Wells wonders if Barry is okay, but Joe brushes it off, even the Flash can wake up a little cranky.

Past. The young Barry gets transported to the street as the two Flashes fight. Yellow and Red clash. Reverse Flash finds that the fight has left him depleted, and no longer able to run in time. The Reverse Flash removes his mask, but its not the Wells that we know.

Joe and Barry head to a place in the prison that they've never been to. It was specially built for James. He was seeing the prison psychiatrist, until he convinced that psychiatrist to commit suicide. Barry and Joe are brought into a room, with given some red ropes. James can smell them in Barry's pocket. Barry hands over the licorice and the case files. No one was killed in the attack yesterday, but the bombs were similar to the ones that James use to use. It was the same chemical composition. James thinks its impossible, he never shared the formula. The newest incarnation calls himself the Trickster too, and James does not like the sound of that. He is nothing like James. James finally rises to retrieve the items. If he did know who it was, he would tell the police so that they could catch the amateur. Joe asks him to help them. The Trickster won't be tricked, but he assumes that this copycat found his lair. James tells them that when they find him, they should make sure their safetys are off.

Iris goes to see Eddie. She's worried that something has happened to Mason Bridge. He's a reporter though, so Eddie thinks its normal for him to disappear, chasing down a story. Iris thinks that its something more. Eddie wonders if he's running from a story, or lying low because of a threat. Mason thought threats were no more than nuisances. He was investigating Wells and now he's disappeared, and she has a bad feeling about it. Most of the police resources are being used to find this Trickster, but once he has a free moment, he will look into Mason's whereabouts.

Joe and Barry head to old Trickster lair. It looks like its been untouched since the 90's. The Trickster seemed to be very ticked off that someone was besmirching his name. Barry finds a hidden door, and he has to use some super fast wiggling to get into the room. The door pops open, and Barry has to grab Joe fast as he sets off a trap. Once the smoke clears, they see that the room has been completely cleaned out.

Joe and Barry head back to the prison. Barry takes a moment to stop by his father's cell. He's very close to finding out who really killed his mother, and to freeing his father. His father doesn't want him to keep looking into this, but Barry isn't going to stop.

James greets Joe and Barry, but notes that they aren't baring sweet gifts this time. They're a little miffed that the place they were sent was booby trapped. James tells them that one can never be too careful. Barry tells him that he was protecting nothing. Everything was gone. James begins to lose it. This insult cannot continue, the new wannabe is stealing his legacy and he won't stand for it. James had a bomb inside, one big enough to blow up all of Central City. Cisco calls with news, the new Trickster just put up a vlog,that he thinks Barry should really see. Barry shows James the vlog, where he talks about a bigger display, and all James can focus on is the fact that he's wearing his mask.

Wells goes over the findings with Joe and Barry. Barry's jabs get more brutal towards Wells. Cisco tells him that the guy is using some crazy Felicity-scambler. Until he uploads a new video, finding his location will be tough. Caitlin is sure that they will catch him. Wells asks for an aside with Barry. He tells Barry that he knows what he's thinking, what he's feeling. Wells thinks that he knows what Barry is thinking, that talking with James had brought on feelings about his father. Barry agrees that knowing that his mother's killer is hard on him. Wells thinks they should focus on the case at hand. Barry gets a text and runs off.

Past. Wells babbles on the beach. He sketches the buildings that will eventually become S.T.A.R. Lbas. His wife gives it the name, and it looks picturesque. The Reverse Flash watches Wells on the beach from a distance.

The Flash sneaks up on Iris. She asked to meet him in her former workplace, she thought it was kind of their thing. Iris tells him that Mason Bridge is missing, and she's worried. Eddie says that he's fine, but she's not so sure. For her, he will look into it. Iris notices that he appears to have a heavy heart. The Flash isn't sure why he even wears the mask with her. Cisco signals that the Trickster is broadcasting another message. The Flash asks to use Iris's laptop. The Trickster claims that he's going to be nice, to give them an area to find the bomb. Barry races off to search that area. He runs the streets, but can't find anything. The bomb should be giving off some sort of signal, but its nothing that Cisco has been able to pick up. Wells thinks that its a trick, tells Barry to trust him. But Barry remains adamant that he's going to continue to look. Barry finds the crate that the Trickster said the bomb would be in, but the crate is empty.

The Trickster isn't anywhere near there, he's causing explosions elsewhere. Cisco gets a notice that there has been an explosion at the prison. Wells was right, it was all a diversion. It was all a ruse to release James Jesse. Barry calls into Joe, that the bomb threat was a diversion to break out James Jesse. Joe already knows, they have video footage of the escape, and worse they have a hostage, Barry's father. Barry does not take the news well.

The Trickster pulled one hell of a trick, and he's back to laughing manically ala the Joker. There's a reason that Mark Hamill has voiced that iconic character many times, he brings the crazy. The Trickster's protege is so happy that they're in the same room. He's gushing at him. Barry's father tells him that James is just using him. The young kid doesn't know why they took Barry's father. It's because his son works for the police. Barry's dad is confident that if the police don't catch James, then the Flash will. James hopes so. The protege asks whats next, he said that he had something big planned. He has a big bang planned. The protege's next question is why him. He knew that he could be trusted, that he could carry out his plan, and well he has a Darth Vader moment, he's his father.

Joe fills Team Flash in on his findings. The protege is named Axel and he's been corresponding with James for the past decade. And no one noticed this sooner? Caitlin is sure that they will find his father. Barry admits that he should have listened to Wells.

Past. Wells's wife has trouble straying awake on their drive home. The other speedster has something planned for them. A spike strip strategically placed causes their car to crash. Tess doesn't look good, and Wells begins to panic. He sees the man, and thinks that he's there to help. Wells tells him to hurry, she's dying, but the man tells him that she's been dead for centuries.

Barry worries over his father. Joe knows that he was taken for leverage, he's fine at the moment. Their team is looking for him. Barry isn't happy to leave his father's fate in the hands of the man who may have killed his mother. It doesn't make sense. Why is Wells helping him? He doesn't understand his motivations. Joe tries to help him hold it together. Barry and Wells are connected. Barry is the type of person who always sees the good in people. As fast as he is, that's his real power, and he can't let Wells take that from him. Joe tells Barry he's not sure why Wells is helping, only that he is, and they have to trust in that for now.

Iris enters the gala to re-elect Bellows, taking a glass of offered champagne, unknowing that she just took it from the Trickster. Her reporter skills really suck, since he's not really in much of a costume. The champagne is almost out, and the fun is about to begin. Iris approaches Mayor Bellows about his lovely party. The Trickster takes the microphone, and cracks some jokes. Bellow silences the mic, and asks the Trickster who he is. James Jesse introduces himself, removing his disguise. He then tells everyone in the room that he's robbing them, and to make sure they're compliant, he's poisoned them. They have one hour before they're dead. One man begins to froth at the mouth, he arrived to the party early, and drank the first glass of champagne. He's beyond the antidote's help. It's a good motivation. He tells them that they have time to call their bankers and transfer money to the account on their glasses. If anyone tries to call 911, then they'll be poisoned by lead.

Cisco searches traffic cameras for leads when Joe gets a call from Iris. Joe puts it on speaker phone, and they hear the Trickster's little speech. Barry races off, while the team works on synthesizing the cure.

James appraoches Iris, who happens to stand out since she's not only in the middle, in red, and not on her phone or panicking like everyone else. He's been in prison a long time, and Iris looks delicious. She tries to sass him, but the Flash arrives, slamming James into a wall, asking where Henry Allen is. He tells him that he's in heaven where the Flash will soon be. Axel straps a bomb to The Flash's wrist. They're gonna play a little speed game. If Flash slows to under 600 mph, he'll explode, if he tries to remove the bomb he'll explode. The Flash speeds off. Cisco tells him that it appears the Trickster wasn't bluffing, the device is linked to a speedometer. Barry knows that he cannot maintain that speed. Caitlin isn't sure how to get the device off without hurting Barry. Wells tells Barry that he needs to find a wall and run through it. If he can get his cells to vibrate at a high enough frequency then he'll phase through the wall, and the bomb will be left on the other side. It sounds just crazy enough to work. Barry doesn't think that he can do it, but Wells believes in him. Wells talks him through it, telling him to feel the air, the lightening. Become the lightening, its part of him, part of something greater, that's his. Barry goes all zen, and he shifts through a truck. It worked. It felt weird, but the device is off. It explodes, and Barry is safe.

The Flash races back through the gala. He speeds through the inoculation process, which may not be sanitary, but it is efficient. He approaches the Trickster, asking where Henry is again, James is going to jail either way.

Henry waits for his rescue or death. Barry speeds through his traps,and rescues his father. Henry laughs looking at his son. Barry unmasks himself. He's always looked good in red.

Barry takes his father to S.T.A.R. Labs. He's very impressed, most of the equipment in that lab wasn't around when he was working. Cisco offers to give him a crash course. Caitlin offers him a hug. Henry is in awe of everything. He asks his son what it feels like to run like that. It feels unlike anything else. Henry thanks Wells for everything that he's done for his son. Wells has kind words for Henry about Barry. He's just doing what he can. Henry is ready to return to jail, but Joe doesn't cuff him to return him. Caitlin gives Barry a hug, he seemed like he could use one too. Wells tells Barry that his father is an extraordinary man. Barry feels lucky to have him, and lucky to have Wells too. Barry walks away after his lie.

Past. The man pulls Wells from the car. In the year 2020 Wells and his wife launch a successful particle accelerator and change the world, but if he's going to get back to his time he needs to speed up the time line Eobard tells him. He's not coming to save Wells, but to save himself. He uses a weird device, linking himself and Wells. It gives Eobard Wells' face, and leaves the man crumpled on the ground.

Joe had asked Eddie to meet with him, he wants to talk to him about Iris. She was looking into Mason Bridge's disappearance, and he can't let that happen. The Flash runs in, and Barry unmasks himself. Eddie looks at him in shock. Joe tells him that they need his help.

Eddie spins a story that Mason moved to Brazil. There was a girl involved, and he decided to go off the grid, to follow this girl. Iris guesses she didn't really know Mason. Joe and Barry arrive for dinner. Iris seems to believe the story. Joe thinks it better to keep her in the dark for her safety for now. Eddie isn't so sure, but he'll go with it. He wants to know the next move. Barry tells them that when Wells was talking in through the phasing, he sounded like he was speaking from experience. He's sure that Wells is the Reverse Flash.

Past. The police come across the car accident, they help Wells out of the car. He tells them that he's Harrison Wells.

The Man in the Yellow Suit (Ep# 109)

BARRY COMES FACE-TO-FACE WITH THE MAN IN THE YELLOW SUIT/AMANDA PAYS RETURNS TO THE FLASH -- 

Barry (Grant Gustin) finds himself face-to-face with his nemesis, the man in the yellow suit, a.k.a. Reverse Flash, who killed his mother. Barry is frustrated when the Reverse Flash escapes, but Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) come up with a plan to trap him. All they need is bait, so they turn to Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays) from Mercury Labs to help. 

Meanwhile, it's Christmas at The West household and Iris (Candice Patton) is in full holiday cheer. Eddie (Rick Cosnett) gives her a surprising gift but also leaves her with a question that could change her life.

Joe (Jesse L. Martin) joins the search for the man in yellow and ends up in the crossfire. 

Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) finds Ronnie (Robbie Amell).

FLASH VS. ARROW (Ep# 108) 

PART ONE OF THE EPIC CROSSOVER EVENT WITH THE FLASH AND ARROW -- Barry (Grant Gustin) is thrilled when Oliver (guest star Stephen Amell), Felicity (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) and Diggle (guest star David Ramsey) come to Central City to investigate a case involving a deadly boomerang.

Excited about teaming up with his friend, Barry asks Oliver if he'd like to help him stop Ray Bivolo (guest star Paul Anthony), the meta-human Barry is currently tracking. Bivolo causes people to lose control of their emotions and has been using that skill to rob banks.

Unfortunately, the superhero partnership doesn't go as smoothly as Barry expected. When Oliver tells Barry he still has a lot to learn, Barry sets out to prove him wrong by attempting to stop Bivolo alone. However, when Bivolo infects Barry and sets him on a rage rampage, everyone is in danger, and the only one who can stop him is the Arrow.

Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) is furious when Eddie (Rick Cosnett) tries to get a task force to stop The Flash, Joe and Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) agree the Arrow is a bad influence on Barry, and Caitlin and Cisco deal with a new team in S.T.A.R. Labs.

Power Outage (Ep# 107)

 THE FLASH GETS A VISIT FROM DC CHARACTERS FAROOQ AND THE CLOCK KING --

 The Flash (Barry Allen) goes up against Farooq aka Blackout (guest star Michael Reventar), a metahuman who can harness electricity. During their battle, Farooq zaps The Flash and siphons all his electricity, leaving The Flash without his speed.

 Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) work to reverse the effects on Barry, but their efforts are disrupted when Farooq comes banging on S.T.A.R. Labs doors in search of Wells, who he blames for his accident. Without Barry's powers to protect them, the group must figure out a way to save themselves from the metahuman.

Meanwhile, Tockman (guest star Robert Knepper) manages a coup inside the Central City police department and takes several people hostage, including Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and Iris (Candice Patton). While Iris is sure The Flash will save them, Eddie (Rick Cosnett) has a trick up his sleeve.

The Flash Is Born (Ep# 106)

 GREG FINLEY GUEST STARS AS DC COMICS' VILLAIN GIRDER --

 The Flash (Grant Gustin) faces a new meta-human named Tony (guest star Greg Finley, "Star-Crossed," "Secret Life of the American Teenager"), who can turn himself into girded steel at will. While Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) are concerned about Barry's safety, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) comes up with a plan to take Tony down.

 Meanwhile, Iris's (Candice Patton) blog on The Flash gets her into trouble, and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) witnesses Tony's abilities firsthand and begins to ask questions that Joe (Jesse L. Martin) doesn't want answered. Joe asks Dr. Wells to help him solve Nora Allen's murder.

Barry wonders how often people think the reason that your friends have come into your life. Some friends you aren't sure that they'll be there, nor do you want them. And some friends, you want them to be more, but for now he'll have to settle for Iris to just be a friend. She's glad he became friends with Cisco and Caitlin, since they saved his lives. Barry tries to make the best of the hot Eddie walking away with his girl Iris, but not even the alcohol is helping. Literally. He takes all the shots on the table, and doesn't feel a thing. Caitlin and Cisco are excited about his super metabolism, but Barry is less so.

The building is believed to be secure, but the security guard has no clue how wrong he is. A dark clad figure is about to change his perception. He spots a woman, who warns him not to come near her. With gun raised, he tells her to come to him. She tosses her back pack at him, and the building explodes, knocking some men off their scaffolding.

Barry continues to pound the shots, lamenting that at 25 his drinking days are at an end. Eddie and Iris tell Barry and crew that they're up next for the dart board. Eddie gets the bombing call and has to leave, the rest make excuses why they all need to leave.

Flash clad Barry spots the window washer. Cisco cautions him that he doesn't have super strength. He wonders about gathering mattresses to catch the man, but Caitlin reminds him that it isn't a roadrunner cartoon they're living in. Barry wonders how fast he'll need to run to go up the side of the building. Cisco gets to calculating. Caitlin tells him to just go really fast and he'll be fine, just be sure to maintain the speed on the way down or he'll go splat. Barry runs all out, and rescues the man. Iris spots the Streak, but Barry keeps his face moving fast so she doesn't see his face. She gets her hair blown back by the Streak.

On the scene Barry notes that bombers normally leave a forensic signature. If there's a bomb, Barry can find a clue, but Barry has found no signs of bomb. Joe knows the building didn't just blow up on its own. Eddie reports that the guard said the bomber was a female, but there's no security feed. He did notice that some sort of small charge blasted off a doorknob to a files room. Joe wonders whats missing, and Eddie assumes one of the files in the stacked room. Joe leaves Barry to do his thing, and using superspeed he looks for the missing file.

Joe and Eddie return to the precinct to find that the army taking over their case. The girl isn't a civilian, but one of theirs. Joe tells him that he'll send the stuff over, but the General will take it all now. The Captain tells Joe to just give the General what he wants. Barry comes down with a box, and tells him to give General Eiling everything that's relevant. Barry hands over his box, but speedily grabs out a file. Joe gets called away about something in regards to Iris.

Joe asks Iris why she was at the scene of the bombing. She tells him that its complicated. Joe tells her that she can't come to every crime scene because she's worried about Eddie. She didn't, she went to see the Streak. She's been collecting information about him and blogging it. Joe tells her that there is no Streak. Iris knows that there is. She thinks that there is something spectacular happening in the city, and she saw him that night, but for now she's off to work, since blogging about the Supernatural doesn't pay the bills.

All Barry has is a VA file number on the woman he thinks is the bomber. The army has ordered the police department off the case. Wells knows of General Eiling. He contacted STAR labs in the past to make a super soldier serum with mind reading as the goal. When Wells saw Eiling's techniques, they cut ties, but it wasn't an amicable split. Barry shows him what he found. Lucky for them Cisco was able to find something in the DOD files. They have a contact name, Bette Sans Souci and Barry is off.

Barry catches up to the flame haired beauty. He steps to talk to her, and she runs. Barry chases, and Bette puts up a hand to stop him, hitting him in the chest. She warns him to get rid of his clothes quickly. He runs off, and his suit blows up. Barry is unscathed, but slightly naked. Looks like Barry wears briefs beneath his supersuit.

With the suit gone, he's communications are gone. Cisco and Caitlin freak a bit, with contact lost. Barry arrives back. Cisco wants to know where his suit is, and Barry has to break the news that it went kaboom. Bette Sans Souci wasn't carrying bombs, she's a metahuman who makes them with her touch. Wells talks about her bomb via tactile touch. Cisco is ranting about Sans Souci being pure evil and paying for blowing up his tech, until he sees just how beautiful she is. Barry doesn't think that she meant to hurt him, and Wells points out that her abilities are why General Eiling is interested, and why he stole the case from Joe. He didn't want anyone to know what she can do. The group has to find the girl before the General does. Joe takes Barry aside to see when he was going to tell him about Iris seeing the Streak. He hadn't intended for her to see him. He promised Joe he would keep Iris in the dark and to talk her out of writing about the Streak,and he intends for Barry to keep his part of the bargain.

Barry races over to convince Iris to give up her Streak Quest. Now that Iris has seen the Streak, she's not letting this go. Between his supersuit, his mask, and the maybe smile he gave her, she can't let it go. It doesn't matter if he wants to be known, he's something special that people want to know about. Iris doesn't understand how he's suddenly against the supernatural when he's been so interested in it all his life. Cisco calls Barry with an update. They have a Sans Souci spotting, she's going after a doctor who operated on her multiple times and General Eiling knows this.

The doctor in question gets a visit from Sans Souci as Barry races towards the office. He remembers her, and that's good because she remembers him too. He made her what she is, him, and Eiling. Barry arrives just a second before she's shot by a sniper. She's only wounded. Eiling wants his asset back. Barry tells her that he can help her, and get her out, that he's different like her too. Sans Souci agrees to go with him, and he gets her out of there as the army men go in to collect her.

Wells explains what happened when his machine malfunctioned. She was in the city at the time. The dark matter must have combined with the bomb material in her body from the war. She thought that Eiling made her what she was, but its not likely. Eiling isn't smart enough to do something like that. Wells and his crew get to testing her. Her nitrogen levels are off the chart. They need to see what she's capable of to help, but her abilities are too unstable to do that in their location. Caitlin preps Bette for a test, when she notices that she was shot. Bette didn't say anything because she thought she was just grazed, but Caitlin notices something in her arm. She was hit with a tracker, and General Eiling and his men are already in the building.

General Eiling notices how the once prestigious lab is a shell of its former self. He wonders how Wells deals with being such a public failure. Wells remains optimistic. He asks what the General wants. He wants the asset that he tracked to the building. Together they could have changed the world, but Wells ruined that.

In the remote testing area, Bette throws some frisbees for Caitlin and Cisco as they monitor her readings. She has the same umph as any Plastique, and now a new nickname to boot. Bette tells Barry how she was terrified to touch vehicles during the war when she deployed, and now she's terrified to touch people. Barry assures him that she's in good hands. Cisco and Caitlin both helped him a lot to use his powers not to get rid of them. If he could get rid of his powers, he's not sure that he would. His friend told him that he was gifted with his powers, and he's always wanted to do good, now he can. Joe calls Barry about Iris's latest antics. Not only did she post about the Streak, but now she's signed her name to it, possibly putting her in danger if another Meta-human thinks she's got some inside knowledge. Definitely not good, and Barry has to do something about it.

In full Flash gear he pays Iris a little visit. With Cisco's voice scramble and a well placed back light he can talk to her without her knowing his real identity. Iris knew he was real. She thinks that she should clean up, but he beats her to it. He tells her to meet him on the roof, and he'll even give her a head start. When she arrives he's already there. He tells her that he needs her to stop writing about him. The people of the city need hope right now. She tries to interview him, but he isn't forthcoming. He needs her to stop for her own protection, but she points out that she doesn't think that he can stop himself from doing good either. She tells him about well, himself. How people thought he was crazy with all his supernatural talk, but he's suddenly lost faith and the Streak is proof that he was right all along. Iris turns on him, asking him to help her save her friend. Up close Barry is forced to blur his face. He's both super lucky and unlucky.

Bette waits for some not so good news. The shrapnel in her body has merged with her on a dna level. The technology to separate her hasn't been invented yet. She takes it a little toughly. Cisco wonders what now. Barry thinks that Bette should join the team. Caitlin and Wells both think she's too dangerous, but Barry points out that she's the first Meta-human that they've come across not hell-bent on destroying the city. Barry wonders what would have happened had they not found him, he could have been in the same position on the run. Caitlin wants to save her just as badly.

Joe is sitting in Barry's office going over Barry's mother's case. Barry tells him how he made friends with a human bomb hoping to save her, but he can't and that he's diagnosed Iris's Streak obsession, its about him. Him, him, not Streak him. Joe points out that Iris would know his voice, and apparently that little voice trick was all Barry, and not some Cisco tech. Joe likes the trick. He's not happy about Iris's involvement, but Barry thinks that the only way to get her to stop is to tell her. He tells her everything, but Joe points out that he hasn't told her everything. It's obvious to everyone, but Iris. Joe has seen it since Barry was old enough to know what love is, and he's been waiting for him to tell her.

Wells chats with Bette. He tells her how he would do anything to get back what he lost. She would too. Wells tells her how the good people that were affected are now her flock, and General Eiling will never leave them alone. He gives her her matching orders. Kill Eiling, then she can go home.

Barry finds Bette gone, and not too pleased about it. Wells claims that she didn't say where she was headed.

General Eiling has Bette surrounded. She tells him that she's ready to give herself up, but he doesn't believe her and has his men draw their weapons. Cisco hacks into the military feed, and reports that Bette is turning herself over to the General. Barry knows that she's not doing any sort of thing, and races off after her. General Eiling knows what sort of asset she could be. With her abilities she could ensure countless victories. All Bette has ever wanted was to make the world a safer place. Bette throws bombs at the General and his men who jump for cover. Barry arrives to stop Bette, and her hesitation allows the General to shoot her. She tries to tell Barry Wells's involvement but dies before she gets the chance. Barry calls in the bad news, and how Bette's body is now glowing. She's going to detonate. Barry runs Bette's body across the water, and away from the city. He races against time to get her body far enough where it won't be of harm to anyone.

General Eiling does a news interview claiming that the Army was just conducting an exercise, and that the city is in no danger. He murdered Bette right in front of Barry, and there will be no legal repercussions for it. Caitlin tries to make light of the situation telling Barry he's in good company with his new walking on water trick.

Barry arrives at Iris's home. She tells him if he's there to do laundry, she already has a load in. He's there to talk. He tells her that he was working a case, he really thought he could help a friend, but she died. He didn't know her that well, but it still hurt. He knows that losing family would have been worse. He warns Iris that putting her name on the Streak stuff puts her in danger, and he asks again for her to stop. She needs him to tell her why she's the only one interested. He tells her that he's finally put the stuff with his family behind, and he needs her to do the same. She may have started because of him, but she's not stopping until the world believes in the Streak too. Barry thinks that maybe they shouldn't see each other for awhile, and Iris agrees.

Barry stops for a club soda, and Team Flash comes for a drink. Barry reminds him that alcohol no longer works on him. Caitlin has made Barry a special drink, thinking that he'd need it tonight. It works for a few seconds, but not much more.

Barry is left to ponder why some people come into our lives and stay, and why some go. Some friendships feel everlasting, and some fleeting, ending far too soon. Some friendships aren't meant to last a life time, only the pain of their loss. Which Iris is definitely feeling at the moment.

General Eiling pays Wells a visit. Again Well is one step ahead of him. Eiling thinks that they should work together again, but Wells will have no such thing happen. Eiling threatens him with a miliatry presence, but Wells fires back threatening media exposure for his inhumane acts, and worse. Eiling isn't going quietly though. He thinks he has Wells figured out, warning that it won't be long until more know.

Five years ago when ties were cut it was over the cruel treatment of a test subject. Wells refused to allow Eiling to hurt him any further. Wells goes in to tell the man-beast Grodd that Eiling is gone, and that he has a whole different future in mind for him.
