The plane full of dead have been transformed into something different. Abraham knows what is behind this plague that will sweep through the populace and destroy it all. Ephraim is on the right track thanks to Abraham, but he is actions may not be enough to stop anything.

The frail Mr Fitzwilliam’s plan is slowly unfolding, could it be that this shell of a man is the mastermind behind the planet’s downfall? He's a little fragile to be a Renfield, but he's definitely had his hand in this cookie jar.

Ephraim’s ex wife’s is trying to cut him some slack, but the new husband thinks Ephraim is playing the sympathy card, not realizing that a stable home is no longer an option.I mean seriously, has he not seen the news in the last few hours? Danger is closer than any of them could ever imagine. Ephraim’s banging his head against a wall looking for answers that aren’t coming fast enough.

Gabe is out of control, and not even his manager will be able to reign him in.

Poop, that is the answer so far, and like all the others only leads to more questions. Ephraim finally learns that all the survivors have been released, except one, and he’s missing. He’s likely just as peachy as the rest of the survivor’s have been. Nothing a good staking and burning won’t fix I’m sure.

Abraham comes face to face with Gusto, but locked in a cell with a bitten Felix is likely to be the last place either of these guys want to be in a few hours.

Hogan and Del Toro have flawlessly delivered their twist on the classic vampire tale flawlessly so far. Seriously I have nothing to complain about. Between their wildly perversions of the mythos, to Huddleston’s increasingly blood soaked canvas, this story is showing no signs of slowing down. The action isn’t continuous, but  the heightened levels of panic are.  This series is only getting better, and missing out on it is a travesty.

The end of the world has arrived in the form of a plane full of thought to be dead passengers, none of them decomposing, their bodies filling with a milky white substance. The elderly Abraham may be the only man who knows what’s coming, and he’s finally tracked down Ephraim, who’s in a position to make a difference, but it may be too late, much too late, especially from the viewpoint of Ansel’s dogs.

Abraham knows a little too much about the situation, and in Ephraim’s defense Abraham is a little manic in his need to be heard, to save everyone. But even with this vital bit of information there is doubt in Ephraim’s mind, the rants of a crazy man cannot go unheard, or the entire planet is doomed because of inaction.

Ansel took his hunger out on his pets, and fellow passenger Gabriel has the same inclination, but his pets are of the human variety, and they’d stand little chance against his hunger if not for his body guards.

The murdering kitties’ victim is found, and more clues from the plane are uncovered thanks to Abraham, but instead of answers they lead to more questions. As night falls, samples are lost, and all hell is starting to break loose.

Gusto’s dark uneasy feeling won’t leave him, and his intuition isn’t far off, when his mistake comes to bite him in the butt.

Hogan and Del Toro have again delivered another chilling chapter. So much is at stake, and just when you think the drama can’t get any more intense it does. Mike Huddleston continues to up the eerie ante with his frightening depictions. This is one of the best horror stories out there, and should not be missed.

Last time we headed into Strain territory, there was a plane of mostly dead, with no explanation, and something not on the cargo manifestation. We know something is about to wipe out the human race, something no one will be able to stop, but exactly what it is, is still unknown.

The item in the cargo hold seems to be a coffin of compost, that holds plenty of secrets, and the bodies from the plane aren’t decomposing. Ephraim’s gut feeling is right one the money, gloom and doom are surely on the horizon, their only hope may lie in the three plane survivors. The human race is truly doomed if these guys hold our keys to survival.

As the solar eclipse takes center stage, something else is unleashed. Maybe more of the same, but definitely nothing good even if it brings out lots of furry purries.

The revelations of the autopsies are nothing comforting. And re-inventing the wheel cannot come fast enough. Abraham comes face to face with Ephraim, but it may already be too late, much too late.

Chuck Hogan and Guillermo Del Toro have crafted an absolutely intriguing and chilling story, but Mike Huddleston goes above and beyond with the art. This is one of the creepiest comics I’ve read. Congrats for delivering plenty of scares and high tension. If you’re a horror fan you should be reading this one, its one of the best out there, and it’s only in its second issue.
