The Pixels trailer is here!

The Pixels are coming, and its every gamer's dream and nightmare!

In Pixels, when intergalactic aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (Kevin James) has to call on his childhood best friend, '80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Adam Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet. Joining them is Lt. Col. Violet Van Patten (Michelle Monaghan), a specialist supplying the arcaders with unique weapons to fight the aliens.

Peter Dinklage's mullet alone is a thing that needs to be seen. In the same vein as Knights of Badassdom, Dinklage is just as much perfection in a comedic movie as he is in a dramatic role. He could make anything believable, but Kevin James as president may be a stretch. How funny Adam Sandler will be, isn't really seen, but he's got a a good group around him to pick up his slack. And Josh Gad is back in a supporting role, where he really excels. If he can muster half of the enthusiasm he brought to Frozen's Olaf, he'll be comedic gold.

Pixels is set for release July 24, 2015

Hotel Transylvania 2 trailer is straight up awesome

If you were unaware that Hotel Transylvania was getting a sequel, then be pleasantly surprised. It not only is, but the trailer looks just as fun as the first film. The Drac Pack (Dracula, The Wolfman , The Mummy, The Invisible Man, and Frankenstein) are back, and they've got a new member, Dracula's adorable grandson, Dennis, the offspring of Dracula's vampire Daughter Mavis and her human husband, Jonathan.

Not only is Dracula embracing his new grandfather status, he's taking the tyke way up high for a little flying lesson. While Dracula is sure about his grandson picking up the skill, his friends aren't so sure. The lesson may crash and burn, but the grandson does not.

The Original Hotel Transylvania found Dracula (Adam Sandler) establishing a hotel getaway for his fellow monsters to vacation in peace after the death of his wife at the hands of townsfolk with torches and pitchforks. His daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) wants to to experience life outside of the safe walls, to see the work and Ha-we-we. Dracula nearly has his daughter convinced of the human threat when an unsuspecting backpacking human stumbles upon the hotel and changes not only Mavis's mind, but Dracula's too. The first one was full of fun, and plenty of jokes for adults and kids alike.

Most of the cast is back for Hotel Transylvania 2. Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg, Steve Buscemi, David Spade, and Kevin James all return as their respective characters. Also returning for the sequel is director Genndy Tartakovsky whose vision helped make the first one such a success.

Keegan-Michael Key replaces CeeLo Green as the Mummy. Also joining the cast is Mel Brooks as Vlad, an "old-old-fashioned vampire. "

Hotel Transylvania 2 opens in theaters on September 25.

the Full Trailer for Adam Sandler's 'Hotel Transylvania'

The trailer for Hotel Transylvania is finally here.

It’s cute, creepy and quite quirky, and joins the likes of Paranorman and Frankenweenie all competing for box office numbers this fall. While it doesn't have Tim Burton, it does have a heavily starred comedic cast including: Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Andy Samberg, Steve Buscemi, David Spade, Fran Drescher, Jon Lovitz, Molly Shannon and Cee-Lo.

Hotel Transylvania hits theaters September 28, 2012.

Synopsis: "Welcome to the Hotel Transylvania, Dracula's lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up, free to be the monsters they are without humans to bother them. On one special weekend, Dracula has invited some of the world's most famous monsters -- Frankenstein and his bride, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, a family of werewolves, and more -- to celebrate his daughter Mavis's 118th birthday. For Drac, catering to all of these legendary monsters is no problem -- but his world could come crashing down when one ordinary guy stumbles on the hotel and takes a shine to Mavis."

COMING TO A THEATER NEAR YOU

When I was at that movies this weekend, I saw trailers for movies I didn't care about, movies I can't wait for, and those inbetween. Some, I still don't care about, but I was surprised by some that I had written off. So I decided to discuss those that interested me.

Zookeeper
Release Date: July 8th 2011
L
Looks like the classic boy has a shallow girlfriend, boy loses said girl, boy tries to get girl back movie. The difference with this movie? Kevin James and talking animals. Kevin James is a zookeeper who thinks about changing jobs to get his ex-girlfriend back. The animals want him to stay, so they decide to break their silence and help him get her back. The dialogue could make or break this movie, but the animals look freakin’ adorable and Kevin James is hil-ar-i-ous. The more previews I see, the more I want to see this movie. I just hope the studio held back some of the funny scenes for the movie.

Captain America
Release date: July 22nd 2011

So far, I’ve seen all the movies leading up to The Avengers (scheduled for release in 2012).
Hulk - Ok
Iron Man 1 & 2 – Great
Thor – Awesome
Captain America - ???
I’ve seen snippets and I’m not impressed. A soldier in red, white, and blue uniform battles alongside regularly dressed soldiers. Not too amazing.
Today I saw a longer trailer. I have to say, I’m more impressed. Seems Tony Stark’s Father is involved with making Capt. America. A scrawny guy, Steve Rogers, gets turned down for enlistment in the army. He then volunteers for an experiment to make a super soldier. This film just got way more interesting to me. Now the wait is on.

Straw Dogs
Release date: September 16th 2011

Another movie I wasn’t excited about. I always figured I’d see because Alexander Skarsgard (Generation Kill, True Blood) stars in it. I like James Marsden also, but not enough to run to the box office. The synopsis just didn’t grab me. A screenwriter moves with his wife to her hometown in the Deep South. The locals and ex-boyfriend start to stir up trouble and the couple have to fight for their lives. Then I saw the trailer. Wow, the filming, directing, and acting shown appears much better than the written scenario. This is one I definitely will see.

Cowboys and Aliens
Release date: July 29th 2011

What can I say? Director Jon Favreau, Actors Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, Sam Rockwell, Clancy Brown, Walton Goggins, and Keith Carradine. What could be bad? Well, ok, we’ve seen big budget films with well-known actors flop in the past. I doubt this will be one of them.
Arizona Territory, 1873, a stranger with no memory and an odd wrist shackle stumble into a town that doesn’t welcome him. Then, something about aliens grabbing people and fighting ensues. C’mon, it’s Jon Favreau and Daniel Craig. This promises to be a fun journey discovering who Craig’s character is with lots of action and stuff blowing up. It’s Jon Favreau; there will always be some comedy along with the absurd. That’s what makes his films great.
