The walkers have been freshly fed.

It's dark in Deanna's house, candles light the room. She plays her son's awful run mix. The loud beats fill the quiet room as she morns his loss.

Carol makes a casserole and tries to write a note, but can't quite find the words as she watches Judith on the video monitor. Sam peeks in her windows.

Sasha watches from her post. She can't quite concentrate though.

A walker shambles close.

Spencer turns off the noise. There's a knock at the door.

The walker continues its pace.

Carol left the casserole, with a note saying that they're sorry for their loss on Deanna's doorstep. Deanna takes the note, leaves the casserole. She burns the note in front of her husband and son.

The walker makes it to the walls of Alexandria. Sasha finally takes the shot from her tower.

Outside, Daryl uses an arrow and takes out another. Aaron points out that there are more walkers around than there use to be, but no more people. Daryl knows someone lurks out there.

Nicholas goes on camera. Someone fast forwards through the footage, to the part where Nicholas confesses that Aiden was trying to save them from a roamer. He was shooting at it, then Glenn distracted it. Glenn tells that he shot the grenades, trying to stop it. Nicholas claims that he wasn't going to leave Aiden, or Tara. Glenn says that they made Nicholas stay, that they couldn't get Aiden out of there without his help. Nicholas starts to break down as he talks about what happened in the lobby with the walker, saying that they were hitting the glass, pushing his door open. Glenn knows all he had to do was hold it closed, but Nicholas panicked. Nicholas thinks that they were trying to kill him, that they didn't care. Glenn held Noah's hand, he tried as he watched him die he tells Rick. Nicholas lays the blame solely on the others, saying it was there fault, it was them. Deanna points out that he came back with them though. Deanna watches Nicholas's video. She tells him that he's no longer allowed outside of the walls, Glenn either, until she's finished with her investigation. Nicholas thinks that Rick's group needs to go, they're not like them. Deanna isn't giving Nicholas that choice, she sees a whole lot. Glenn confesses to Rick that he nearly left Nicholas out there after what he did to Noah, to him. Rick remains mum, then Glenn wonders if he thinks that he should have left him there. Rick tells him that the Alexandrians don't know what they're doing out there, they're not prepared. Glenn points out that they have to be there. Rick tells him that they don't answer to them. They are them now Glenn tries to explain. Noah believed in this place. They have to make it work. Rick leaves Glenn on the porch.

Jessie sits with her family on the porch while Carol watches. She tells Rick that she sent a casserole to Deanna's family and she's talked to Sam some more. Jessie put a bolt on the inside of his closet. Sometimes she tells him to lock himself inside, and not come out until morning. One night, Sam could hear his dad yelling, his mom crying. His mom got quiet during it, and he went out and found his mother unconscious and bleeding, his father sitting out on the porch. Rick asks why she's telling him this. He knows why, she's pushing him to kill Pete. She knows how he feels about Jessie. Carol points out that if walkers hadn't gotten Ed, she wouldn't be standing there now. Rick tells her that she would as they watch Jessie go inside.

Rick sits in the dark with his gun. Pete stumble out all smiley, calling to Rick. Rick turns around all über serious, which makes Pete a little concerned. He ominously tells Pete to keep walking, which confuses him, but he does it. There's an ugly showdown brewing, and even if Rick wins it, he'll lost it too.

6:30am. Michonne lies awake in her bed. Laundry sits in her basket, and she looks at it like its an alien creature. She pulls out her new uniform, but hesitates to put it on. Rosita comes in. Tara is stable, she'll go check on her again later, but what concerns her is that Sasha didn't come home. She spent the night in the tower. The girls head out to the woods. Rosita saw her headed out with a rifle, even though there was someone already in the tower. The pair are jumpy. It's the first time they've been out since they arrived, it feels different, but Michonne isn't sure that its a good thing. Rosita admits after Eugene she was screwed up because she lost something, but Michonne seems screwed up because she found something. Noah is dead, and Michonne can't sleep in there. She doesn't want to forget. Rosita tells her that she shouldn't, but that she also didn't bring her sword, and that's not nothing either.

Rick visits Deanna at the graveyard. He's sorry for what happened. He asks how she's holding up. Rick tells her that they have a problem with Pete. She knows, she hoped he would get better. Pete is a surgeon, he's saved lives, he may be saving Tara's life. Rick points out that he's beating his wife, and he needs to be stopped. Deanna isn't sure how. Rick wants to tell him to stop, that that will be how it is. Deanna asks what happens when he doesn't listen. She pushes him for an answer. Rick tells her that he'll kill him, they'll kill him. Deanna doesn't think that's civilized, but in the world they live in, that is civilized. They give him the option to stop, if he doesn't, they make him. They can't just let him keep hitting her, or kill her. Deanna thinks that they should just exile him if it comes to that point. Rick points out the danger in that. If they let him go, he could come back, and be a bigger problem, one that they would have to hope that the watchtower took care of. Deanna doesn't want to hear that suggestion again. She would do the same to Rick if he were the problem.

Michonne and Rosita find a walker, shot in the back of the head. It had to be Sasha. They find another, and the destroyed framed photos.

Carl walks in the woods, and Eden calls out. She knows that he's following her again, and points out that he is going the wrong way. She tells him that he should go back, he scares her. It's not safe out there, two people just died. She steps out from her hiding spot, people always die. He asks what she does there anyways, the same thing as him she tells him before she takes off running. Carl runs with her. Eden stops him suddenly when she spots a walker. She throws a kitchen timer at him. It goes to the noise of the timer going off, and Carl and Eden head the other way.

Nicholas cleans the blood out of the van when Glenn approaches. He tells him that the four people that he lost are on him, Noah's death is his fault too. That's five lives he has to carry. People like Nicholas should be dead, but the walls saved him, so he's not. Glenn tells him that he's not to leave the walls, alone or by himself. Nicholas takes affront to that. Glenn knows the type of person he is. Nicholas claims that he's been protecting Alexandria, provide for it, and Glenn just got there. Glenn isn't threatening him, just saving him.

Carl and Eden take a seat, slightly winded. Eden feels like they're suppose to be out there, to feel like this. She doesn't want to forget it, and running makes her feel better. Carl can't forget. He dreams of being in the woods with the walkers. Eden does too. He asks her if her guardian knows that she does this. He's a good guy, he doesn't and she doesn't think he would understand. Eden carves with a knife on a nearby root, it was her mother. He asks what happened to her before she got to Alexandria. She's not ready to open up yet. She tells him that it doesn't matter, but it does. A whole herd gets near, and the pair hide in a tree trunk. As they hide, Eden realizes that Carl is afraid of her too. One of the herd is marked with a W too.

Nicholas heads out into the woods. He digs up his hidden gun.

Sasha is out on foot in the woods. She walks up from behind the walkers, and shoots them all in the head. She picks off a straggler. Michonne and Rosita catch up to Sasha, to see what she's doing. Sasha is tired of playing defense, she wants to go on the offense and takeout walkers. They walk into a large group and Rosita thinks that they should run, but Sasha isn't running anywhere. She opens up fire. Michonne watches her, remembering all her zombie kills, everything back to when she was the badass with her pets. Michonne fires off a few shots, helping out. Sasha doesn't want her help, but its not for Sasha. Michonne is doing this for herself. Rosita uses her blade on a few that stumble close, she goes hand to hand with them. Sasha runs out of ammunition, but there are still more walkers coming. She pulls out her blade, and gets to killing that way. One walker sneaks up on her, taking her down. Michonne is there, blowing its head off. Sasha is upset, she had it. She didn't need their help. She told them to go. She tells Michonne that she can't help her, she needs to work her way through her grief on her own. Noah, she told him that they would make it. The grief washes over Sasha, and she's taking the latest death the hardest. Sasha heads back out, and Rosita is on her tail.

Daryl and Aaron tread softly in the woods. They come across a body ripped apart. It looks a recent thing as well, with the limbs all over the place. Daryl surges forward, Aaron is close behind. They find another body, a woman tired to a tree, her abdomen ripped out, definitely not the work of walkers. Daryl grabs the woman's head, she's marked too. She begins to reanimate before him, and he stabs her, putting her to rest.

Rick finds Jessie in the garage working on her owl. She didn't want her son to know about all this. She tells Rick that Tara is in good hands with Tara. Rick tells her that Pete is hitting her, that he's hurting her, and it has to stop. Jessie tells him that he will. Rick isn't sure how. Jessie confesses that there are things in the past. Rick doesn't care about those things. Pete did this before, and he stopped. She helped him to stop then and she'll do it again. She thinks that she can fix it. Rick tells her that she can't, but he can. Jessie thinks that putting Pete in jail will only make things worse. The only way things get worse is if he kills her, and Rick won't let Pete. Jessie doesn't understand why this is so important to Rick. He has a good home for his kids now. She tells him that she's married, and they have to take care of themselves.

Rick reluctantly leaves, he sees the quiet, the peacefullness of it all. Rick is about to go all Shane, as he watches a kid run with a red balloon. Rick strides back to Jessie's walking through the front door without so much as knocking. He tells her that Sam asked for a gun to protect her. Jessie tells him that he shouldn't be there. He points out that it may look the same out there, but she doesn't just get to live with it. She doesn't have to fight alone. He doesn't want her to die. He can help her, he can keep her and her children safe, all she has to do is say yes. She asks if he would do this for someone else. He doesn't answer, so she asks again. Rick admits that he wouldn't. Jessie gives him the answer that he wants. Pete comes stumbling in, asking Rick what he's doing there. Jessie moves to diffuse the situation, as he tells Rick to leave. Jessie tells Pete that he's the one that needs to leave, to go. Pete wants to know what she's been saying to Rick, to be doing. Rick tells Pete that they need to leave. Pete gets in his face, mocking his status, thinking that he's the law. Pete throws the first punch, and the pair tussle. Pete doesn't appreciate Rick putting his nose into his business, and Rick is really trying not to kill the guy. Jessie yells for them to stop, but neither men pay her any attention, and the fight ends with them flying through the front window.

Sasha watches walkers from her perch. She loos through the site, and sees people running. It's not walkers who are the problem inside the walls. Inside Alexandria, Rick and Pete's fight has hit the streets, sending everyone running towards it. Pete is on top for the moment, before Rick gets the upperhand. Carl tries to stop it, but Rick pushes him aside. Deanna calls for Rick to stop as he puts Pete in a choke hold. Rick pulls his gun on the group as they move to get in. What is Deanna going to do, exile him? He asks. They still don't get it. They do what they have to to live. Sasha takes aim out the walkers on the walls, taking them out one by one. Deanna just sits and plans and hesitates, pretending to know, but she doesn't. If she wants that place to stay standing she has to change her way of thinking. Things don't get better by wishing them. They have to control who lives there. Deanna tells him that that has never been more clear than it is now. Rick goes back on his rant. He's not the problem, and he's not going to stand for it. If you don't fight you die. Her way of thinking is going to get this haven destroyed. A uniform clad Michonne knocks him out. Rick may have been right, but his rant all blood covered probably wasn't the smartest.

There's just one episode left in the season, and Rick looks to be on his way to exile. The only question is will the wolves attack before that happens, and will Rick be able to save Alexandria from destruction?

Alexandria is a quiet place, and Father Gabriel finally makes an appearance. Have we seen him since the group arrived? He's got a nice little chapel, not as nice as his previous one, but also without all the shameful history. Rosemary leaves him a nice basket of strawberries as a welcome, and he rips the pages from the bible in his anger. Maybe rather than worrying about Daryl, the group should have spent more time worrying about Father Gabriel.

Daryl has a new hog between his legs, and he's headed out with Aaron following.

Noah wants to join the building crew. He wants to make sure that the walls stay up, and Reg may not always be around. Long term goals are never a good thing, back away from those aspirations Noah! Reg understands and appreciates Noah's planning though. He makes a note in his pocket notebook. Like his wife he wants to keep record of everything. He tears the papers from the book, and gives the remaining notebook for Noah. He's gonna have a lot to write down as he's taught everything about building.

Abraham tries to get his head straight as Rosita sleeps nearby.

Eugene refuses the gun that Noah offers him. He doesn't want to go on the run for materials to repair the grid, but he will install the items once they're retrieved. Tara asks Noah about Holly, but he tells he that it was nothing. Glenn and Maggie prepare to part. Deanna and Reg worry about their son out there on the run, and Deanna is thankful for Glenn. They load up, and Nicholas blasts his techno beat as they pull away, because zombies are totally not attracted to the fast tempo upbeat dance mix.

Rick of course goes to check in on Jessie and finds her owl sculpture completely destroyed. He puts himself on the case immediately. Jessie tells him that stuff like this never happens. Rick jokes if she knows someone that hates owls. Rick figures he has nothing better to do anyways.

Nicholas and Aiden prepare to go in, blind. Glenn thinks it would be a better idea to scope the place out, and map out their exits, but Nicholas ever the douchebag thinks that the front door is the answer if they're in danger. Tara and Eugene take one way, and Tara clears the way for Eugene. He wants it noted that he shouldn't be out there, but she thinks its time he started pulling his own weight. He thinks by getting them to Alexandria with his lie was enough, but Tara points out that they got him there. Eugene makes it even more obvious how much of a coward he is, which still manages to surprise Tara.

Glenn gives Noah kudos on his shooting skills. They had a chance to do a little practice at the hospital. They make it to the front of the building and its crawling with walkers, so much for the running out the front door option.

The group gets together to retrieve the supplies they need. Nicholas bangs around, and again Glenn suggests some quiet and canvasing the area before they let their guard down. The room seems to be clear, but Glenn cautions everyone, knowing that the walkers are nearby. They find quite a few of them behind a fence, but they seem to be contained. Tara puts the ball in Eugene's court to find them what they need. They find the items they need, but a walker in armor appears. Nicholas and Aiden take aim at it. Glenn tells them to let it get closer but they continue to fire. The thing goes down, and Nicholas fires off a few more shots, failing to realize that it has a bomb on its back. He hits the device, and it explodes sending shrapnel everywhere. Maggie took out an armored guard with little more than a knife and a tank top, and these guys couldn't do the same. Geesh.

Glenn wakes after the blast, its smoky and the cage was blown open. Aiden is dead. Tara is down, but still alive, and the walkers are closing in. It's up to Eugene to save them. He can't take the shot, and he's nearly eaten. Glenn sends Eugene to the office, so that they can save Tara.

Carol hears something in her house, and finds Sam hiding in her closet. He wants more cookies, or maybe just company. He tells her about his house having no power, about the owl sculpture being broken, but these are all problems Carol can't help him with. He asks her to teach him how to make cookies, and finally she tells him to go steal some chocolate, and she'll see what she can do, but if he's caught he won't like the repercussions.

In the office, Eugene looks over Tara. She's lost a lot of blood, and they need to get it to stop before she bleeds out. Nicholas tells them that there is a first aid kit, but its behind a wall of zombies at the moment. Glenn, Noah and Nicholas notice that Aiden isn't dead like they thought. Eugene tells them to go, and save him, that Tara would want that, and he vows to keep her safe. Glenn comes up with a quick plan, and then the trio head out on their rescue mission.

Abraham sits with the construction crew getting ready to get started. Hes' not sure why the project will take so long, but that's the estimate. As he waits for the foreman to “send a fax” in the woods, he notices the birds all flying away. He tries to get his head right, when he hears gun shots. The men are ill prepared for the zombie hordes. Francine falls, and they prepare to leave her behind to get themselves to safety. Only Abraham is ready to head into the fray to save her. He gets her inside of one of the heavy machinery, and with a smile on his face, and “mother dick” on his lips he prepares to take out a few zombies. Looks like Abraham just needed a heaping of zombie death to perk him right up. Abraham slips under the vehcile for some effective killing. He slide out the other side, and the zombies line up for their head bashing. Two of the other guys wonder how he's still alive, and consider to go help Abraham stay that way.

Pete stops by Rick's house. He offers him a beer, but Rick turns him down. Rick has come to give them an update on the Owl, which Pete brushes off as just an owl. Pete opens up to Rick. He knows it doesn't look like they've lost a lot, but they've lost too, and they're trying to hold onto what they have left. Pete tells Rick to bring his kids in for a check up, they were on the outside a long time. He's hammered, and he asks proposes friendship in a way, that it sounds sort of like a threat before leaving. Rick watches him stumble out.

Eugene tells the head trauma Tara, that this whole thing was not his fault, he warned her he was a coward. This accident can't be blammed on him, its really not his fault that Nicholas and Aiden are douchebags. He throws Tara over his should and prepares to take her to safety, shooting his way out.

Glenn, Noah, and Nicholas get to Aiden. He's bad, and impaled, and completely stuck. The walkers are closing in, and Nicholas gives up on him. There is no freeing Aiden and time is up. He confesses that it was them who were the cowards, it was them that left the others in their team, which lead to their deaths. Glenn knows, and he leaves Aiden to his bloody, gory fate. The walkers close in and literally rip him apart while he screams.

After the fray, Abraham has a few choice words for the two cowards who left Francine to die. With daylight still left, Abraham gives the marching orders with more lookouts to give them more advanced notice, and they get to work to build their wall.

Nicholas surges ahead into the sunlight, and into danger as he makes for the carousel door that leads to that front that Glenn and Noah saw was covered in walkers earlier. Out of ammunition, Glenn and Noah go inside of the doors too, and they're surrounded on both sides by walkers.

The foreman goes to Reg and Deanna with what happened as Maggie listens on. Reg doesn't think that one heroic acts makes him the right man to take the job of Foreman. He tells them that Abraham is still out there working with the others, and that he's actually leading the people in ways that he never could. Maggie beams with pride. Deanna decides that they will make it official when the construction crew returns. Maggie is sure that Abraham is qualified. Deanna worries that she put another of Rick's people in power, with a simple vouch from one of her people and Maggie. Maggie points out that was why she wanted their group to join hers in the first place. They have the skills Deanna needed.

Sam returns with his pilfered chocolate. Carol snatches it, and pulls him inside. She gets to baking for him, but warns him that this will be the last batch she makes. He understands, and asks if she was always a good cook. She was. He tries to make small talk, but she doesn't want to be friends. They don't have to be, but he doesn't want to sit in silence either. Carol is trying so desperately not to get attached to a child that may not survive. She figures out that Sam was the one that broke the owl statue. He asks why she stole the guns, which was for protection. He wants one, but when Carol asks who its for he runs off.

Nicholas panics about being stuck with walkers all around. He wants to make a move and soon. Glenn tries to come up with a plan when Eugene arrives. The techno music blasts from the speakers as he lures the walkers away. Glenn comes up with a plan to break the glass on his side, so that he and Noah can get out while Nicholas stays safe, and then they can free Nicholas too. As Glenn tries to break the glass he panics, each hit making his door open a little to the walkers. Glenn asks him to trust him, but he's a coward, and pushes against the door, exposing Glenn and Noah. Noah is grabbed by the walkers and totally ripped apart as Glenn is helpless to do anything but watch his friend die horrifically.

Nicholas catches up to the van, and he wants to leave behind Glenn and Noah, giving Eugene the ultimatum of leave them and come back with him or die himself. Someone please pistol whip him. Eugene may be a coward, but he's loyal. He struggles to get his gun out, and Nicholas throws him aside. Glenn is there though, to take care of him. Glenn is ready to leave the trash behind.

Carol heads over to look for Sam. Pete answers the door, asking if Carol needs something. She admits that she was with Sam earlier, and asks if he's okay. Pete takes offense. Carol asks to talk to Jessie, and he slams the door in her face.

Eugene watches over Tara on the ride home. The run went pretty horribly. Noah's notebook sits on the passenger seat, what a waste of another character.

Father Gabriel pays Deanna a visit. He's come with a warning. Satan comes in the guise of false light. He's sure that Satan is there. She doesn't think that her community is a paradise, but it is. She doesn't understand. Rick and his people are wolves in sheep's clothing. They're not good people, they did horrible things. Deanna knows this, they survived on the outside for a long time, and Rick himself said as much. Carol goes to Rick. Rick's group survived, which makes them assets. Gabriel thinks that it makes them dangerous. The day will come when they put their lives before the lives of the people of the group and destroy everything that they've built. Abraham stands up and leads his construction workers. Carol goes to Rick about her concerns about Sam. Gabriel sees Rick as the devil, they're false apostles who don't deserve the paradise they've been given. Maggie overhears the whole thing. Gabriel just signed his death warrant. He wishes he would have come to Deanna sooner. She thanks him for his warning, and for giving her something to think about. Carol knows how this is going to go, but there is only one way it can go. He's going to have to kill Pete.

Sasha lies awake staring at the pictures on the wall. She can't sleep in the house she now calls homes. Bright and early the next morning she gets to work. One girl takes her into the gun storage. She asks if Sasha bags a boar if she could have a leg to make some prosciutto. Sasha leaves the front gate, going deep into the woods with the photos that she stared at all night. She takes aim, destroying them, shooting out their faces, only pausing to look around the surrounding area between shoots. She needs to get it together.

Daryl, Carol and Rick look around where the missing blender gun should be. They could have been followed on the way in, someone could have taken it. Rick doesn't think that they want the people inside the gates to suspect them. It could have been someone passing though. Rick thinks that the gated group has been all too lucky so far, and now they're even luckier, they have them. Rick wants to keep the incident quiet. He wants the others to try to adjust, for now, they'll keep this between them. A walker comes to crash their pow wow. Carol takes far too many shots to bring it down. They are suppose to be out shooting, so they can't return with full clips she reasons. On the walker's head is a W carved in it.

Michonne tries on her new uniform. She takes a good look at herself in the mirror, and makes some adjustments with her katana, which makes her almost question it. Rick still isn't sure about it all. Neither is Michonne. She's unsure of Deanna, but she seems smart. Rick still isn't buying it all.

In the woods, Daryl raises his bow, hearing someone in the woods. He calls him out. It's Aaron. Aaron is surprised he can tell the difference between people and walkers by the sound of their footsteps. He asks if he can tell a good person from a bad one, Rick doesn't seem to be able to. Daryl wants to know why he's being followed. Aaron wasn't aware that he was following Daryl. He's out hunting. Daryl is still jobless, but he allows Aaron to tagalong with him on his own hunt.

Deanna goes over things with Michonne and Maggie. They're to handle conflicts. Deanna is looking to have the police force restarted. She has big plans for their civilization, and they're the beginnings of it. Rick agrees with the rest, but he wants to see the security. Deanna takes them around. They're not to just look for walkers, but also for signs of entry. Deanna doesn't think that is necessary, or needed. Sasha arrives and she wants to take a shift at the clock tower. Deanna admits that the clock tower is hardly ever manned, its no more than a dummy most of the time, and sometimes its Spencer. The group is horrified. They still remember their other paradise lost at the hands of the Governor. Deanna finally gives into the urging for the tower to be manned on a more full time basis, but Sasha and the others have to attend a welcome party Deanna wishes to throw.

Carol chats with the other homemaker types, as one talks about a delicious protein bar they make. Carol plays up the helpless role, but as soon as she sees Rick, she makes excuses to run off with him. She asks if he's heard about the party, he has. The armoury is next to Deanna's so tonight will be a good chance to get their guns back, but they can't use Daryl, he's on constant surveillance. Carol points out that the good thing about this place is that she's invisible again.

Daryl and Aaron continue through the woods when Daryl spies a horse. Aaron admits that he's been trying to catch the horse for a long time, trying to being him in. The horse is named Buttons, one of the kids saw him awhile back and named him. Aaron hasn't seen him for a while and feared it was too late. The horse won't let him or Eric get close to him, he's always spooked. Daryl takes the rope from Aaron. He understands how it is. Sometimes you stay outside for so long, you forget what you were before. Daryl approaches Buttons, and the horse notices him, but doesn't run off until the walkers make their appearance. Aaron shoots a few, and Daryl beats some back. It's knives and arrows up close, but Buttons is gone. Daryl and Aaron run off after the horse.

Carol heads off to the pantry for supplies. She's making cookies, and needs chocolate. Olivia actually has the chocolate, but she can't give her much. Carol will make it work. Some men come in for supplies. Olivia goes to help Toby and his men and Carol grabs what he needs in the way of guns. Toby asks Carol if guns bother her. She admits that she had a handgun, but nothing more. Toby offers to give her some lessons some time to make her comfortable. Carol unlocks the window behind her while no one is looking and thanks Toby for his kindness as he leaves.

Aaron tries to get to know Daryl a little more. Daryl never really got around by horse, preferring bikes, not the 10 speed kind. Aaron understands that Daryl feels like an outsider, he understands that feeling. He and Eric have been with the group a long time, and they're still outsiders. The more afraid people get, the more stupid. They're scared of both of them for different reasons. They're only less scared of Aaron because they know him. He suggests that Daryl go to Deanna's party, to let people get to know him. Daryl feels like he has nothing to prove. There are a lot of bad people on the outside, a lot of bad stuff, but he fears none of it.

Carol, Rick, Carl and Judith arrive at Deanna's party. She greets them immediately. She never interviewed Judith, but she envys her, she'll get to see what the place will become. Deanna goes to take them around. Abraham and Rosita arrive, and Abraham is apprehensive about the place until Rosita poits out that they have beer. He agrees to try. Deanna introduces Rick to her husband. He's watched all of the tapes, and he's impressed. Everyone in the group had a lot of glowing things to say about Rick. Rick points out that he built the wall, but he thinks that Rick's accomplishments are superior. He offers Rick a drink. Jessie and her family arrives, and Rick notices her immediately.

Daryl and Aaron continue to track Buttons. Daryl races ahead to take out one walker, and Aaron gets tripped up by another. Aaron uses his machete on it, but Daryl is there, smashing its head under his boot, and throwing down another, smashing it too. Aaron takes aim at a walker closing in on them. The pair race forward, but they're too late. They spot Buttons, but he's surrounded by walkers and already in their clutches. They down him, and tear the poor horse apart. Daryl and Aaron surge forward to kill the rest. They dispatch the group of walkers with ease, and Daryl leaves the putting down of Buttons to Aaron. It's like they lost a member of their group. Until now, Buttons always ran. Daryl offers that they were trying to help him.

Noah sits in the corner watching the party, but not taking part. Glenn and Maggie go to check on him. Parties aren't his thing. Glenn and Maggie try to make him feel more a part, telling him that he's there with them now, with family. Daryl watches from outside the window, but doesn't enter. Aaron sees him on the street. He was never going to go to the party because of Eric's ankle. He just suggested that Daryl try, and he did. He offers Daryl to join them for some spaghetti.

Carol checks in with Rick, before disappearing. Jessie introduces Rick to her husband. He offers to give him a check-up, and get him a drink. Jessie points out the great view, the ordinary setting, and full of people. It may not be better on the outside, but its better inside. A lot of things disappeared, but so did a lot of the bullshit. The people in the room come from a diverse background and yet they're all eachother's life now. They all lost something, but they got something back. Rick looks around, sees Carl with boys his own age. She's right. Jessie's younger son, Sam complains about the lack of cookies. Good thing Rick knows the cookie maker. He tells him that he may be able to get her to bake him a batch. He notices Rick is missing a stamp and offers him one. Rick accepts the stamp. Jessie tells him that he's officially one of them now. Sam runs off, and Jessie after him.

Sasha finally makes her appearance at the party, and is greeted by Spencer. He offers to take her around the party, but she decides to make it in on her own.

Daryl slurps down the spaghetti, gulping it down. Eric turns to Daryl, asking him that if he sees a pasta maker on his travels if he wouldn't mind grabbing it to quiet Ms. Needlemeyer. They have plenty of boxed pasta, but that's all she talks about. There's an awkward silence. Aaron seems to have something for Daryl, but has yet to tell him. Aaron takes Daryl to the garage. He admits that when he was given the house, the garage already had bike parts in it. Someone was building a bike. On his travels, when he saw engine pieces he brought them back, and now has a large collection. He wasn't sure what he would need. He always thought that he would learn what he was doing, but he figures that Daryl already knows what to do with them, and he'll need a bike. Aaron told Deanna not to give him a job, because he already had one in mind for him. He wants Daryl to be Alexandria's other recruiter. He no longer wants Eric going out. Daryl doesn't like the sound of Aaron risking his life. Aaron points out that he's good out there. He knows what he's doing. Daryl doesn't belong out there. He has a hard time letting people in, to get to know him, and he needs to be out there sometimes. Aaron understands because he feels the same way. Daryl looks under the sheets. The main reason that he wants Daryl to help him recruit is because he does know the difference between a good person and a bad one. Daryl has nothing else to do. He thanks Aaron, and offers to get him some rabbits.

Abraham finds Michonne on the porch with her little plate of appetizers. He teases her about her new miniature hardware. He hopes that they don't have to use their weapons again, or that they'll remember how to if they do, either way its always on their backs. Michonne wonders how many beers he's had. He's a large man, he's had many, and he's figured out that things have turned out pretty well. He asks her what she's done to adjust. She tells him that she's put on a dress, and he tells her to try again.

Carol is working on her cat burglar skills. She heads after some hand guns, loading them into a bag when Sam asks her what she's doing. He followed her, hoping that she was making more cookies. She offers to make him a batch of cookies just for him. He would like that. She tells him that he would have to keep her sneaking in there a secret. He tells him mother everything though. Carol warns him that if he doesn't keep the secret, then one day he will awaken on the outside of the walls. He will be tied up and the walkers will come after him and rip him apart. No one will be around to help him. Or he will stay quiet and safe, and get lots of cookies.

Rick is taking in the view as Jessie comes in with Judith. She's happy to have the baby in her arms, its been awhile since there was a baby. Rick gets what she's been telling him. She offers him back the baby, and he leans in and kisses her on the cheek. She walks always with a smile on her lips.

Deanna goes to the wallflower, Sasha and tries to get her to join the chatter in the party. Sasha tries. She joins the group, but the horrors of her past are too much. A woman offers to cook Sasha her favorite meal. She's asked all the newcomers. She's worried about cooking something that she doesn't like, and Sasha loses it. Sasha has bigger issues on her mind, life, death and loss issues.

Deanna catches up to Sasha the next day. She's still trying to figure her out. Sasha doesn't think the community, the safety is real. Deanna thinks that opinion is bullshit. She closes the gate as Sasha leaves.

Carol brings out the stash that she's retrieved. Daryl isn't sure that they need them. They asked him to try, and he's trying. He refuses the gun. Rick reluctantly takes one.

Michonne hands up her katana.

Rick, Carol and Daryl return to Alexandria and head their separate ways. Jessie greets Rick on her walk with her husband, and Rick lets is glance linger on her. He definitely sees something he wants. The sun looks a little brighter, and with weapon in hand, or at least in back, Rick seems more self-assured. He hears a walker, but its on the outside, and Rick is now on the inside safely out of reach.
