NEW YORK – July 16, 2013 – USA Network is launching Sights Unseen:
Auggie Undercover, presented by Jaguar, the second prequel in the
webisode series from COVERT AFFAIRS. Over the course of six weeks, fans
will unlock the never-before-told story about Auggie’s (series star
Christopher Gorham) past, prior to losing his sight, and his affair with
Russian hacker Natasha (Liane Balaban), who was featured in the show’s
first season. After tonight’s premiere at 9/8c, COVERT AFFAIRS fans can
join Auggie by logging on to sightsunseen.usanetwork.com via their
desktop or tablet. They can also go back and engage with the first
Sights Unseen, in which Auggie is sent to supervise a critical operation
in Spain.
Created with Jaguar, whose new two-seat convertible
F-TYPE is featured in two of the episodes, Sights Unseen: Auggie
Undercover goes back to 2006, when Auggie was assigned to befriend a
mysterious Russian hacker by the name of Natasha. She was responsible
for shutting down the communication systems throughout Washington, D.C.,
including the CIA headquarters. After watching each of the webisodes,
fans can play a variety of mini-games designed to test their spy skills.
Upon completing each of these assignments, viewers can unlock new,
exclusive content and earn points in the fan club Covert Operatives.
They can also enter a sweepstakes to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip for
two to Rome, which is just one of the many exotic international
locations featured this season.
USA created Sights Unseen: Auggie
Undercover in conjunction with series creators and executive producers
Matt Corman and Chris Ord and their creative team, as well as Ralph, an
integrated advertising agency for the entertainment business. Gorham,
who served as interactive producer, stars alongside series regulars Kari
Matchett who plays Joan Campbell and Hill Harper as Calder Michaels,
and Liane Balaban as Natasha.
Starting with the premiere, COVERT
AFFAIRS fans can access an enhanced second screen experience at
http://www.usanetwork.com/covertaffairs/social/sync to gather new spy
details and unlock behind-the-scenes photos and commentary about the
episode and guest stars.
Season four of COVERT AFFAIRS picks up
with even more complications at the agency as Annie aligns with the
infamous former head of the Department of Clandestine Services, Henry
Wilcox (guest star Gregory Itzin), in a dangerous, undercover mission
that puts those closest to her in jeopardy. Hill Harper joins the cast
as Calder Michaels, an ambitious, young and cocky CIA station chief
based in Latin America who plots his way into a bigger position back in
Washington. Recurring guest stars this season include Latin telenovela
star Manolo Cardona (“Beverly Hills Chihuahua”) and Michelle Ryan
(“Bionic Woman”). COVERT AFFAIRS is shot on location in Toronto, ON, and
international shooting locations this season include Medellín,
Columbia; Rome, Italy; Vienna, Austria; Frankfurt, Germany; Copenhagen,
Denmark; the Bahamas and Hong Kong, China.
From Universal Cable
Productions, COVERT AFFAIRS was created, written and executive produced
by Matt Corman and Chris Ord, and is executive produced by Doug Liman
(SUITS, the "Bourne" trilogy, "Mr. and Mrs. Smith") and David Bartis
(SUITS, "The O.C.") through Hypnotic. Stephen Kay (“Sons of Anarchy”)
