Killing Eve S01E06 "Take Me to the Hole!" Recap

Konstantin gives Villanelle the necessary information to complete her next assignment to take out Nadia, who is currently being held in a Moscow prison. Villanelle is transferred into the prison in order to complete her mission by Konstantin.

Eve and Carolyn track down the prison where Nadia is being held but before Eve leaves she gets into a fight with her husband, who lashes out due to his fears of a killer harming Eve or breaking into their home again.

Eve and Carolyn arrive in Moscow where Carolyn has arranged a meeting with Vladimir, a Russian Intelligence officer. Eve tries to call her husband but he doesn't answer. Carolyn advises Eve that some people aren't cut out to have a personal life while being in this line of work but it doesn't lessen the value of her working hard to make the world safer for everyone and not just her husband. Konstantin joins their gathering, as he's revealed to be another Russian Intelligence officer that Carolyn has a camaraderie with. Carolyn gets down to business after some friendly chatting and asks about Nadia, wanting to have a meeting with her. Konstantin tries to stop them from going through with making the arrangements for Carolyn and Eve to question her but is shocked when Eve reveals that a female operative named Oksana broke into her house to have dinner. The deal is made in which Carolyn and Eve will be allowed to meet one time with Nadia to question her but the conversation will be recorded and Konstantin will be in the room with them. Afterwards, Eve tells Carolyn that she didn't like Konstantin.

Villanelle tries to get herself assigned to kitchen duty upon seeing that Nadia is working there but a guard drags her off to scrub toilets instead. On the way, Villanelle spots Eve and Carolyn arriving with Konstantin and ducks her head down to avoid being spotted and recognised. She befriends another inmate who claims to be prone to violent outbursts. She then goads the inmate into assaulting her so that she will hopefully be moved to C Block, the same block as Nadia.

Eve and Carolyn are brought to a room where Nadia will be brought in and Konstantin says he will be listening in from another room. Nadia shares how she was supposed to escape but Oksana went instead, saying there is a man they need to find. But just before she's about to give his identity, Konstantin comes in which prompts her to change her story. She says they need to find someone named Anna.

Carolyn wants to offer up immunity and transport back to the UK for Nadia so that she will give up the names that Eve knows she has in her possession. They share the name of the organisation running covert operations, The Twelve, but Vladimir refuses to let Carolyn give Nadia this deal.

Eve learns from Kenny that "Anna" is the name of the wife of the man Oksana murdered and castrated six years ago. Eve also asks him to look into any private correspondence between Konstantin and Carolyn, asking him to keep it quiet even though Carolyn is his mother.

Following the assault she faced, Villanelle gets sent to the prison doctor who is another agent involved with Konstantin's plan. He tells her that after the job is complete she needs to get herself sent to the Hole by tomorrow, 9PM. He then gives her a shiv to hide and the location of Nadia's cell.

Villanelle runs into a problem when her new friend takes her shiv away from her right before she is set to confront Nadia. Nadia is terrified to see Villanelle again and runs to ask the guards for help. But Villanelle grabs the shiv and uses it to stab two guards and steal a set of keys before looking for Nadia.

Eve privately meets with Vladimir and explains how Oksana is another young woman manipulated into a criminal organisation and is convinced that Nadia is the key to bringing down the Twelve. He is unwilling to cooperate until she offers up some information that one of his agents is dirty and had given away secret information to Carolyn.

Villanelle makes her way through the prison which has its sirens blaring and is supposed to be on lockdown. She gets to Nadia's cell but she isn't there. Nadia is later brought back to her cell and locked in. She writes a note for Eve before Villanelle emerges from beneath the bed. Nadia begs her not to kill her and says she is going to tell the British everything and get transferred, also revealing that Konstantin is working for the British. She shares how Eve was asking about her. While Villanelle is distracted in deciding if she wants to hang Nadia instead of stab her, Nadia slips her note to Eve under the door. Villanelle kills Nadia and the guards send her to the hole. The doctor visits her and gives her some pills to calm her down, claiming to not know who Konstantin is.

Eve gets a call from Kenny, saying he tracked down some letters between Konstantin and Carolyn.

Benjamin Ingrosso: Melodifestivalen's Biggest DC Fan

Photo: Lizel Strömberg (ZEL Photography)

I've interviewed Benjamin Ingrosso numerous times. When you have repeated opportunities within a close period of time to ask a public figure questions of which the answers will be distributed for public consumption, it's good to find ways to mix things up a bit instead of repeating the same questions again and again. The entire genesis of Benjamin and I getting along and striking up a camaraderie was in the lead-up to Melodifestivalen 2017. I had done a bit of browsing through his social medias as part of my research and preparation for the new season. Upon discovering he had posted a tweet comparing Batman suits between Batman v Superman and Justice League (which hadn't been released yet) I was incredibly excited at the prospect of having a fellow-DCEU fan to interview, even if the majority of the questions I'd be drafting would naturally be pertaining to the matter of music and Melodifestivalen.

I met Benjamin for the first time in Malmö, the city at which he'd be competing in his semi-final. I was introducing myself to his publicist, as I'd never met anyone from Ten (his label) before. They proceeded to introduce me to Benjamin and he was all smiles and friendliness, exactly how he comes across in the other interviews I've posted with him. The first question out of my mouth was, "Are you a fan of the DCEU?" His face lit all the way up and he excitedly exclaimed that he was and we began chatting away about our shared love of the universe.

So upon returning to cover Melodifestivalen 2018 and he was set to return, I decided to compile the photos I had gotten since we'd last met during Melodifestivalen 2017 with various creatives involved with the DCEU, such as Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins, The Batman director Matt Reeves, and none other than Ezra Miller. At one of the press conferences, I decided to have him react to the photos, knowing it would be good content since he's so expressive and free with his emotions. It went over even better than I anticipated.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. S05E21 "The Force of Gravity" Recap

Daisy is still unconscious and being transported but Taryan uses a device to communicate with her while she is still out cold. She realises she's not conscious as their conversation progresses, and it's revealed that the device is attached to her forehead while she is being moved. Daisy is eventually able to activate her powers and snap the device in half which allows her to wake up and fight off the guards around her.

Talbot leaves the ship on a Quinjet to head back to Earth with some Remoraths. Talbot kills Agent Kim and Deke calls Mack to tell him what has happened. Mack ponders if they can talk Talbot down if they can only find him first. Deke manages to fight through the guards to get to Coulson and May and break them out of their holding cell. Deke also informs them of Talbot returning to Earth on the Quinjet. They then catch up to Daisy after she escaped her guards. Coulson says they can't leave yet because the ship has some ionizer missiles armed towards the Lighthouse and if they don't take those out first, they will risk the lives of all the innocent people living at River's End.

Talbot visits Creel at a hospital and approaches him, offering to give him the peace he has been searching for since he was exposed to the gravitonium. Creel takes his hand and finally feels peace but then Talbot fully absorbs Creel into his body.

Simmons continues to work on a cure for Coulson using the Centipede serum that Daisy brought back.

Mack deduces that Talbot is ultimately trying to prove that he is a good father. Mack and Yo-Yo use this to track Talbot down at his family home where his (ex-)wife and son are living. Talbot's powers and emotions get the better of him and he is prepared to kill his wife right when Mack and Yo-Yo arrive. They have their guns pointed at him and he is prepared to unleash his powers on them but he opts to leave them alone when his song George convinces him to not to hurt them. Talbot flies off, determined to prove he is a hero.

May continues to fight Qovas while Coulson and May get away on the Zephyr. Deke is able to reroute the missiles to target the ship and Qovas dies on board after May and Deke successfully teleport back to Earth into the Lighthouse where they are reunited with Fitz and Simmons. Coulson collapses from his sickness on board the Zephyr, prompting Daisy to rush him back to the Lighthouse. He is bleeding out but Fitz and Simmons are able to patch him up for the time being.

Fitz and Simmons have determined that the remaining Centipede serum could be combined with Jiaying's DNA or odium. The decision must be made as to whether to save Coulson or to stop Talbot.

Finally, Talbot rekidnaps Polly and Robin, and asks Robin to tell him where the remaining gravitonium is.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. airs on Fridays on ABC at 9/8c.

Gotham S04E21 "One Bad Day" Recap

Jeremiah arrives at GCPD headquarters with his followers in tow behind him. He informs Harvey and the other officers that Jim Gordon is dead and that if they don't do what he wants, he will detonate more bombs planted all over the city, including if they kill him since he's installed a dead man's switch. Jeremiah declares that while his brother wanted to just destroy things he wants to rebuild it after it's been destroyed. He orders Harvey to get the city evacuated within six hours or else everyone left in Gotham will die. He then detonates one of the bombs he has planted in order to ensure that Harvey understand what he's capable of.

Oswald and Grundy arrive at Barbara's club and informs them of what they've learned from the man they tortured, whom they've brought along. They now know that Jeremiah is the one in charge of this latest attack. Oswald offers them the opportunity to partner up and Barbara rejects it until Oswald says they plan to use part of the profits to cure Grundy, prompting Tabitha to force Barbara to agree to work together.

Bruce visits the station and learns from Harvey that Jim is likely dead. Jeremiah then calls Bruce and says that he needs to do what he says or else Alfred will die, telling him an address to come to.

Jim has escaped the bunker with blueprints of Jeremiah's plans but is knocked out from the blast. Nygma had already ordered someone to follow him and that person had rescued him and brought him back to the Narrows where Lee has patched him up. She tells him how Jeremiah blew up the clock tower and the city is being evacuated. Jim shows her the blueprints and asks to take them to Harvey but shedders him to stay put and rest while she takes the blueprints to be deciphered.

Selina accompanies Bruce to the location Jeremiah sent him to. Selina scopes out the roof while Bruce enters the building and is immediately tormented with a video of Alfred being beat up.

Lee tells Nygma to decode Jeremiah's plans in order to trade the solution to the GCPD in exchange for clemency. Nygma is weary that Lee only wants him to do this to help Jim but she assures him that if Jeremiah destroys half the city it will disrupt all the plans they have for the Narrows. He begrudgingly agrees to get to work on decoding the plans.

Jeremiah is confronted buy Oswald, Grundy, Barbara, and Tabitha, who demand a large ransom sum under threat of destroying the bombs' core relay. Jerome claims to be taking their offer seriously and calls the mayor in order to demand a sum of money. Oswald tells tabitha that once they have the money they will kill Jeremiah, turn the core over to the police and be hailed as heroes. But Jerome proceeds to destroy the core himself and proceeds to implement his back-up plan which will have the bombs rewired to detonate in sequence ahead of schedule due to this interference.

Bruce continues to be tormented by the footage of Alfred being tormented and seemingly sprayed with a dose of Scarecrow's toxin while the recorded video of Jeremiah taunts him.

Nygma and Jim reluctantly work together to solve Jeremiah's blueprints. They determine the buildings that Jeremiah plans on detonating so that they will collapse and form the labyrinth he designed. Jim knocks Nygma out when he expresses a wish to take the plans to the mayor first in order to get himself and Lee pardoned. Jim proceeds to take it to the GCPD instead. Meanwhile, Oswald has called Harvey to warn him of Jeremiah's intent to rewire the bombs to directly communicate with each other and detonate them once he is at a safe distance. Fox is able to determine what this backup system is and that they can disrupt the signal of the first one in the sequence but they need to know where the bombs are first. Right on cue, Jim arrives at the station with the locations of the bombs.

Selina enters the hideout and finds some of Jeremiah's goons watching surveillance footage of Bruce being tormented. She is also snuck up on by Scarecrow before proceeding to fight the goons. Scarecrows sprays his gas and it infects one of the goons. Selina knocks the other goon out and fights Scarecrow who proceeds to leave while telling her that soon Bruce will be driven mad. Bruce is being sprayed with Scarecrow'd fear toxin and begins to hallucinate an insane version of Alfred attacking him. In actuality, Selina has freed the real Alfred who works with him to break him out of the fear that the toxin created.

Fox directs Harvey to the location of the first bomb and instructs him on how to active the kill switch. Time is of the essence as the bomb is preparing to detonate, and Jeremiah is at his bunker with all of his followers. The news plays at the bunker and Jim taunts Jeremiah's followers by saying he failed to kill him. Jeremiah says it doesn't matter since he will soon detonate the bomb. But by the time he hits the switch, Harvey has already deactivated it. The lack of sound of explosions prompts Jeremiah's followers to turn on him and want to leave. Jeremiah chides their fickle ways and says they're very predictable, before locking them in a room and pressing a purge button which triggers a fire to incinerate all of them.

Grundy turns on Oswald, demanding that he reveal the location of Strange. Tabitha says that she will be able to convince Strange to fix Grundy regardless of their lack of funding.

Jeremiah is piecing together how his plan was foiled and is preparing to start all over again. But it's then that Ra's al Ghul appears to him, proposing an alliance. He points out that this isn't just about Gotham, but about Bruce Wayne.

Jim visits Lee to thank her for her help and also to tell her that she should leave Gotham so that they don't have to inflict any further harm against one another, admitting in the process that he still cares about her and always will. He then leaves, while Nygma is revealed to have overheard the entire conversation.

Harvey returns to GCPD headquarters and is revered as a hero, finally having regained the honour he had previously lost.

Bruce, Selina, and Alfred make it back to Wayne Manor. Bruce thanks Selina for her help and the two kiss, after which Bruce ponders if his parents' deaths made him a little bit insane. Jeremiah is then revealed to have broken in and shoots Selina in the stomach, after which Alfred tackles him and begins beating him while Bruce tearfully tries to stop Selina's bleeding.

Gotham airs on Thursdays on FOX at 8/7c.

Krypton S01E08 "Savage Night" Recap

Seg and the rest of his team learn that Brainiac goes into a sort of deep trance by draining life force from the Genesis Chamber which contains all the future embryos of the people's planet. They decide that this is their best chance to attack him since there's no other time they know of where he could potentially be vulnerable. Lyta determines that she needs to go find Dev, whom she left for dead, since he was neurally connected to Brainiac.

Brainiac informs Daron that once he has gotten what he wants from Candor, he will leave and Daron will be free to rule and have the power he so desperately wants.

Lyta returns to where she had left Dev for dead and discovers that he is still alive. He begs her to help him before collapsing in the snow. Seg and Nyssa help her load Dev back into their ship, all the while being watched by a hooded figure. They then bring Dev back to be tended to by Val at the Fortress of Solitude.

Zod brings Jayna to meet Jax-Ur, the leader of Black Zero, whom they need to agree to help so they can successfully execute their plan against Brainiac. They tell her about the threat Brainiac poses and she agrees to help them gain access to the Genesis Chamber but in exchange she wants Daron delivered to her. When Nyssa learns of this, even she agrees that this is what needs to be done.

Kem refuses to let Adam near Zod or Seg so Adam decides to get himself captured by guards in order to be brought before Daron to warn him of the impending attack that is being planned against Brainiac. In exchange for this information, he only wants Seg delivered to him so he can transport him out of Candor safely before it is taken.

Val is able to free Dev from Brainiac's control and hack the Sagitari network after patching up his injured arm. Zod tells Jayna more about the origins of Superman and how the yellow sun was what gave him his super abilities. Zod also shares how he was able to survive the destruction of the planet because Jor-El had put him in the Phantom Zone as punishment for attempting a coup.

Daron tries to warn the Voice of Rao in the Genesis Chamber about the impending attack. Seg and his team have infiltrated the building and fight their way past the guards. Jayna is able to inflict a mortal injury to the Voice of Rao but Brainiac remains unharmed and escapes in the Voice's damaged body. Daron is turned over to Jax-Ur, who agrees to let Zod keep using Black Zero until he can confirm that the Voice of Rao is dead.

Jayna speaks to Seg about what Zod has told him and how she suspects that Zod wants to conquer Krypton.

Brainiac sends Ona to Seg as a suicide bomb, but Adam manages to save Seg and Kem using his Zeta Beam device. Adam is then teleported to an unknown location where a mysterious woman stands eerily motionless until only her eyes move to look at him.

The Handmaid's Tale S02E04 "Other Women" Recap

June is brought back to captivity and has a new ear tag pierced into her ear. She is placed in a room where she is chained to the bed much like the captive handmaid she saw earlier in the season. Aunt Lydia visits her and brings a new handmaid gown. She gives her the option of staying in her current imprisonment where she will remain until her child is born and then she would be executed, or returning to the Waterfords. June chooses to return to the Waterfrods where she will be closely supervised by Lydia.

Publicly, the Waterfords have presented the facade that Offred's disappearance was the result of a kidnapping. But privately, Serena is furious at her for running away and corners her in her room, grabbing her by the throat before releasing her so as to not harm the baby. June warns her that as long as her baby is safe, so will Serena's.

Rita returns the letter she found to Offred and tells her she will not be involved in any further scheming. Nick is also shown to still be working for the Waterfords.

A baby shower is held for Serena in which prayer and a ritual binding are conducted between Offred and Serena. Offred learns from Alma that Ofglen had her tongue cut out for speaking up to save Ofwarren (Janine) when she was about to be stoned and ever since Mayday has been silent.

In a flashback, Luke's first wife Annie confronts June and asks her to back off from him, saying that they made wedding vows before God. Annie is insistent that she and Luke will be together. Luke is furious at Annie for bothering June and warns her to back off, having resolved to be with June and Annie's efforts are futile to break him up from June. Some years later, Annie spots Luke and June in a restaurant with their child Hannah.

After Offred upsets Serena once again, Lydia takes her out for a walk. Serena demands that Nick send Offred back to the Red Center, saying she can't have her in the house. Fred tells her she is strong enough to stick things out and that she shouldn't miss out on the pregnancy especially after all the months she's already missed.

Lydia bring Offred to a hanging corpse and it's claimed to be Omar's although his head is covered with a bag. She informs June that Omar's wife Heather is now a handmaid and their child Adam was give away to a different family. Aunt Lydia tells Offred these tragedies are her fault and Offred is quick to blame herself. Aunt Lydia warns her that the best chance she has to survive is to separate Offred and June as different people.

Offred's spirit is broken by the revelation of what happened to Omar and his family. She apologises to the Waterfords and asks to stay. She later prays to god that Hannah will forget about her and begins to ignore Nick, while adhering to the proper standards of being a handmaid.

The Handmaid's Tale is available for streaming on Hulu.

Shadowhunters S03E08 "A Heart of Darkness" Recap

Clary is interrogated by Jia Penhallow about her visit to the city and a magical lie detector of sorts is used to ensure that they get all the information they're after from her. For starters, she reveals how the team was there to steal the Malachi Configuration.

Magnus tells Alec he is the strongest connection Jace has currently so he is the best chance of saving him. Magnus is worried about the risks of sending Alec into Jace's mind but Alec will not give up on Jace regardless of the risks. Izzy will go into Jace's mind with him and the only way to get Jace out is for all of them to be linked since Magnus will only have one chance to pull them all out.

Ollie reveals to Lilith that Simon has been gifted with the mark of Cain. Lilith sends some of her disciples out to search for Jace while she decides to pay a visit to the Seelie Queen to determine what sort of power has been bestowed upon Simon. Simon is meeting with Maia when Jordan pays them a visit and Maia tells Simon they have talked things out and he will continue to help him since it's what she wants.

As Clary continues to be questioned, she reveals the truth about Jace being possessed as well as using the angel's wish to resurrect him after his death at Lake Lyn. As punishment for breaking this rule Clary is sentenced to death.

Magnus struggles to get Alec and Izzy into Jace's mind until they decide to undo the Malachi Configuration and put him in chains that are strong enough to have held an angel captive for twenty-five years.

Simon, Maia, and Jordan team up to visit the location that Lilith was using as a lair in order to search for clues as to where she is now. Maia struggles with the emotional turmoil of Jordan being back in her life and nearly turns due to the uprising of emotions but Simon manages to calm her down. Maia later decides to leave the city, telling Simon she just needs some time to figure things out.

Inside Jace's mind, Alec and Izzy have accidentally gotten separated. Izzy manages to gain the trust of a child version of Jace while Alec tracks down the adult version of Jace that has been forced to kill Clary over and over again and has even tried to kill himself in the hopes of making Lilith's torture stop. Jace is overcome with emotions upon realizing that Alec is really there in his mind with him and it's then that Izzy manages to find them too. Jace begs them to kill him, as he would rather die than continue to be trapped under Lilith's control but Alec insists that he will find a way to get him out and free. But just as they're preparing to leave Jace's mind together Lilith arrives and interrupts Magnus' work. She spares Magnus from death because she fears starting a war with his father but does threaten him before leaving with Jace back in her custody.
