Arrow Recap S2E14: Time of Death

The fight comes directly to KORD Industies. But getting the briedcase isn’t enough and when William Tockman aka The Clock King’s men take a few lives in their getaway things go from bad to worse. SCPD are alerted, and that of course brings Lance to capture the suspects. They getaway through a crowd of protesters.

Digg and Oliver train with Sara when Digg whacks her good. The trio share scare stories, but Felicity is feeling a little left out. They disband to prepare for Sara’s back from the dead party, while planning to keep their rebudding relationship a secret.

Past. Sara, Oliver and Slade scout some nearby forces, when they spot a plan. They try to flag it down, but it gets shot down.

Clock King’s goons dislike his planning, feeling like they were set up in a bad position. Clock King feels like their actions were only weakness, and when one of the goons gets threatening Clock King channels his inner T-bag and shanks him.

Syn is happy to see Sara, but the pair have to pretend not to know each other in front of Roy and Thea to protect her secret identity. Oliver tries to reach Laurel, but it’s doubtful that she’ll be attending the party. Lance makes his peace with Oliver. Apologizing to him for how he treated Oliver when he returned. Things remain tense between Ollie and his mother, even Thea notices. Lance and his wife get closer with Sara’s return, until he’s called away on a homicide call. Oliver gets the same call from Felicity.

Black Canary and Arrow show up at Lance’s crime scene. KORD had a skeleton key stolen, an instrument that could be used to open any bank vault.

Felicity does a little private training and Sara tries to give her some advice, but Felicity’s little green eyed monster is raring its head. She’s not really happy about the new girl in her formerly boys only club.

Sara, Slade and Oliver search the down aircraft and the pilot is still alive for now.

Lance comes to Laurel’s. She’s still feeling sorry for herself, and refusing to reconcile with her sister, but Lance wants to bring the family together to help him reconcile with his wife. Laurel tells him to bring everyone to her house, she’ll be host for a good cause.

The Clockman strikes again, but Arrow and Canary are hot on their tail. They interrupt the robbery in progress, and Felicity gets hacked by the Clockman threatening to have a train kill innocents. Arrow and Canary split so that one can go after the henchmen, and the other to stop a bus from colliding with a train. He’s good, and manages to impede Felicity at every step, but team Arrow is still better, Oliver manages to get the train stopped. But if the Clockman is really that good, how did he not know that both Arrow and Canary were together?

Arrow’s little saving grace move makes the news, and Thea’s bar schedule falls apart. Thea brings up the distance between Mother and Son, and Oliver tries to lessen her worries, but she isn’t buying it.

Felicity fixes the computer system to prevent the Clock King from ever hacking in again, and Sara may just have something to ID him by, some blood. Felicity wants to send the blood off to a lab, but Sara can do the work herself, and finds an anomaly in the blood. It has McGregor’s disease. Felicity uses that information, coupled with what they know about the Clock King to identify him. She finds his location, and reason for stealing the money, a sick sister, and Canary and Arrow head out to catch him. It’s a well laid trap though, and Tockman easily breaks into Felicity’s network to find where she is. He’s much better than she expected. He gets in, and things go boom. The network is down and Digg and Felicity are left in the dark.

Their entire system was fried with the Skeleton Key. Since the Clock King was stopped from making his withdrawal, Oliver plans to lay a trap of his own with a huge amount of cash. Felicity gets snappy with Sara, making it clear that she isn’t needed, plus she has that big dinner. Sara asks Oliver to accompany her, she’s got a case of the jitters, but Oliver wants to stay and help. Felicity doesn’t want his help either. Oliver decides to go with Sara to her dinner. Felicity is feeling sorry for herself, and Digg understands that its hard to see Sara and Oliver together for her, but its more than that. Sara has been pretty much a Rockstar lately, and Felicity got the Lair fried.

Sara and Oliver show up for dinner, with a threadbare excuse for Oliver’s appearance. Dinah takes the excuse at face value, and Lance arrives with pizza. His cooking skills are a little rusty from lack of use. Around the table the group catch up, Dinah talking about her new teaching job. Lance hopes that she’ll give it up and come back, but she makes it clear that she doesn’t plan on returning to Starling City, dashing his hopes of a reunion. Laurel picks up on signals between Sara and Oliver, and throws quite the fit at the table. Stupid sister for hooking up with the guy she’s been pushing away, and stupid dad for thinking he could win his wife back. poor little Laurel
I’m ready for her to be a tragedy.

Past. The pilot is severely injured, and the radio is broken. He tells Sara about his daughter, one who’ll be an orphan with his death. He asks her to make sure that his daughter is okay.

Laurel makes a dramatic exit, and Oliver goes after her. She lashes out at him, blaming him for destroying her relationship with her sister. But Oliver is done playing the punching bag. He tells her to nut up, because she isn’ t the only one with family issues, who’s life is falling apart. He’s finally ready to throw in the towel, and stop trying to save her. He’s loved her for half of her life, and he’s finished running after her. He walks away, and maybe just maybe she’s learned something.

Oliver returns to his lair, and Felicity is gone. She calls Oliver and tells him that the Clock King has taken the bait, and furthermore that she’s at Starling National, you know the exact place that he’ll be headed to. Way to be the Daphne again Felicity, for a smart girl she’s really dumb sometimes. Felicity gets surprised by Digg, Arrow and Canary while hacking the security system waiting for the Clock King. His goons arrive, and Arrow goes out to meet them. Clock King hacks into the system far too easily, and opens a gas main. Digg goes to take care of the situation, while Felicity continues to look for Clock King, and she has him. Canary springs into action, with felicity on her tail. She takes a bullet, for her trouble from the Clock King, and manages to blow his cell phone and knock him out.

Sara patches up Felicity. She can finally say that she took a bullet for someone, and finally Felicity has a scar that she can brag about. Oliver asks her if she’s okay, Digg had mentioned her feeling left out. Felicity tells him she was always his girl, like his girl girl. He understands what she means and tells her that she’ll always he his girl.

Sara makes some killer drinks upstairs in the bar. She’s trying to cut out a normal life for herself, one that can actually go on a resume, not that super assassin doesn’t look impressive, and Thea has hired her one. Oliver gets an urgent message and heads home, as Laurel arrives. She assure Oliver that she comes in peace. She tells Sara that when she “died” on the yacht, Laurel began drowning. Every misstep, every failure pushed her further into the dark abyss, and seeing Sara rise all shiny and new, made her see that she isn’t the same beautiful person she once was. She asks for Sara’s forgiveness, and Sara leaps at the chance.

Sara sheds tears, and it worries Syn. She’s always been a rock, and never thought there was anything that could make her cry. Sara tells her of her reunion with Laurel, but reassures her that she has room in her life for a little sister. Looks like she was able to keep her promise to the pilot, the picture he gave her was of Syn.

Oliver rushes home, to find no fires to put out. His mother was in a meeting, and Thea, the little rat, wasn’t even home. She senses the tension between the two, but Oliver hasn’t let the cat out of the bag yet. Why not just tell the girl, she’s going to find out sooner or later. Moira introduces Oliver to the man she’s having a meeting with. Oliver comes face to face with his old friend Slade Wilson, and it is not a happy reunion.

Supernatural Recap S9E14: Captives

The bunker is empty and quiet. Dean listens to some tunes, but something other than the boys are in there. Dean calls out and Sam searches for him, grabbing a sword on his way, but there’s nothing solid to attack. Something starts to materialize, when it gets shot by Dean. There’s something haunting their bunker, as if they didn’t have enough problems. So much for being the safest place in the planet, with the amount of wards and sigils Sam reasons that nothing got in. It’s been fifty years since anyone has occupied the bunker, and ghosts don’t typically wait that long before becoming active, so all signs point to it being Kevin, even if Dean did cremate him. At the mention of Kevin’s name, a coffee mug breaks. Looks like Kevin is coming back one way or another.

Castiel catches up to an Angel at Rebecca’s funeral. He tells Cas that she had no contact with Metatron after the fall, she gave it all up. Rebecca taught her followers that the angels have lost touch with their true mission. They want nothing more than to live humbly among the humans, until the monster, Bartholomew killed her and everyone else.

Sam stares at the coffee maker, but doesn’t get much from him. It’s taken Kevin time to make contact, and the boys plan to keep trying to communicate with him. Dean takes a stab at it, but he can’t deal with talking to the coffee maker. He tells Kevin he’s sorry. Kevin never chose the life that he was brought into, and he lost everything, while Dean was helpless to stop it. He pours out his heart, and misses the flickering light. Sam sees it, and comes running back. Kevin flickers into existence. Dean wonders why Kevin isn’t in Heaven. If anyone deserves to be, it’s certainly him. Heaven is closed off since the angels fell. Everyone is stuck inside of the Veil, and it’s not the best of situations. Kevin tells the boys that he wants them to find his mother. Dean tells him that Crowley was just trying to get a rise out of him, but Kevin isn’t so sure. It’s crowded in the Veil, and he’s talked to other spirits, Candy, one who recently saw his mother in Kansas. Kevin tells Dean that this is how he makes things right, so of course Dean is going to do it.

Some suits catch up to Castiel, looking for the other angel with their angel blades at the ready. He tells him that he’s long gone, but they recognize him. That’s what happens when you have such a handsome mug. The head suit has been looking for him, looks like someone is headed to see Bartholomew.

The boys head to Wichita, Kansas. Candy died in the woods, and the boys are going to summon her. Dean even brought the handy coffee maker to help with the process.

Castiel waits in the waiting room from hell for Bartholomew. Not a tv or magazine in sight only some dull conversation from one of the suits. Batholomew takes Castiel’s blade, and the two embrace like old friends.

Sam gets a little chilly out in the woods. Dean tries again unsuccessfully to reach Crowley, and Sam points out that maybe he’s just not into Dean. But Dean has to keep trying, since he’s the last confirmed link. With the last of Dean’s beer gone, the radio goes a little wild. Candy is trying to reach out.

Bartholomew thought Castiel went off the deep end when he took on Raphael, but he held his tongue. Castiel rose to power as Bartholomew stayed behind. Castiel points out that he gained a reputation of his own for the cruelty and malice he inflicted upon captives in his care. Bartholomew received his marching orders, and had no choice, but now Bartholomew follows no one, he gives the orders.

Dean fiddles with the radio knobs trying to get a good signal. Candy tells them that she was in a box, that there were others all in boxes. It was cold, and dark, and a vent allowed them to talk to one another. It sounds like a storage unit with its corrugated door. Two men held her captive, one being Crowley, by her description. He told her she was more valuable alive, until he stopped coming. The other one continued to come, to feed her, and she tried to escape. She ran through the forest, but she was caught, and killed. She doesn’t know what happened to Mrs. Tran. She tells them for her sake, she hopes she’s dead.

She isn’t though. She’s still being held in that room, being visited by that man, and by all the screaming it doesn’t seem like she likes him all that much.

The boys head to nearby storage facilities. Candy in life was a politician’s kept mistress. Crowley wanted to keep the victims alive, but the other guy was the one who did the killing. Sam doesn’t see it as a virtue, but Dean is giving the King of Hell the benefit of the doubt.

Bartholomew continues to reveal way too much of his plan. Castiel isn’t  quite trusting of this little friendship, but Bartholomew insist that they want he same thing. They both want to find Metatron and restore heaven. A drop of blood spilt to avoid a gallon, seems like a small thing to ask, he killed Rebecca and her followers to prevent a future uprising. Bartholomew sounds sure that he will beat Malachi and followers in their quest for Metatron, and wants Castiel aboard his crazy train. There’s a method to his madness, and if Castiel can stomach his methods then they can work together.

The boys head to a storage facility flashing badges, asking for the rental binder. Del complies, while Sam takes a look at the map. There is a perfect location for the captives, and they’re all leased by the same guy D. Webster, as in Daniel Webster, which sounds like just the name Crowley would chose. Del overhears the name, and he tells them that he’s also leasing another unit on the other side of the facility. Dean follows Del to the other unit, and Sam heads to the other block of units.

Dean finds some scary looking tools, but Sam finds Mrs Tran. She tells him that they need to get out before he comes back, and while Sam is toying with her chains, someone uses a remote to lock them in. The door is strong enough, not even the moose can get it open. Del watches the pair on the camera feed on his phone. All the while, Dean has no clue just what Del is doing, as he looks though the hodpodge of stuff. Dean asks if Del is sure that its leased by Webster, and Del says it is, but Dean finds a package that says otherwise. Just as all the pieces come together, and Del knocks out Dean. His poor noggin sure does take a beating.

Bartholomew takes Castiel to his war room. It’s full of Metaton sightings, but nothing concrete yet. Bartholomew has been distracted taking out rebel factions that he hasn’t had time to fully focus on Metatron, but with Castiel by his side, and more determined than ever to find Metatron, there’s nothing that could stop them. A set of suits come in with a bagged angel, the one from Rebecca’s funeral. Bartholomew plans to torture him to find out what he knows and then kill him. Castiel looks like he is no longer willing to drink the Kool-Aid.

Sam breaks Mrs. Tran’s shackles. She tells him that there’s an electrical line that leads to the control panel. Sam is hesitates for a second looking at the wires, and Mrs. Tran takes over. She’s learned a few things from Kevin, and she still has no clue her son is dead. She hopes that they left him some place safe, and Sam tries to break the news to her, but she insists that he will take her to her son.

Dean wakes up on the floor next to Del’s dead co-worker. Del is complaining about Crowley and his internship. The job sucks, and the boss has been M.I.A. What’s worse, he was told not to kill anyone, but to protect them. He hopes that when he calls Crowley to tell him he bagged the Winchesters, he’ll be happy with him, but he knows that’s a slim chance. Dean tells him, if anything Crowley will be upset since they’re such bosom buddies now. Del looks sickened as Dean tells him that they’ve been hanging out. Del throws his nametag to the ground, he’s through being leashed.

Bartholomew cuts away at the poor angel, but he has nothing left to tell. Bartholomew hands the blade over to Castiel to finish the job, but he doesn’t want to, there’s no point. Bartholomew tells him that the reason he was brought back from the battle was because they knew that Castiel couldn’t slaughter the captives, that he would stand in the way, but Bartholomew hopes that he’s changed. Castiel has done bad things, he’s murdered to regain his grace, but it’s not who he is. Bartholomew wants to work with Castiel but they need to see that guiltless unconscionable side that can get the job done no matter the cost, they need to know that he can be that ruthless killer. There was never any hope in this partnership, Castiel has too many morals, too much hope to fall into this line, and he finally realizes it. He chooses to oppose Bartholomew, and Bartholomew plunges the knife into the tortured angel, killing him while Castiel is restrained and unable to do anything to stop him.

Del thanks Dean for reminding him what he truly is as he cuts him across the throat. Sam enters before Del can cause any major damage, and the smaller man is little match for the moose.

Bartholomew doesn’t appreciate Castiel’s superiority, though he should be use to that gruff attitude by now. He punches Castiel, but Castiel refuses to hit him back, he sees that angels fighting angels needs to stop. Bartholomew goes after Castiel with a blade as he tells his men to stand down, but Castiel is much faster, and quickly gets the upperhand turning Bartholomew’s blade on him. Bartholomew tries to be the martyr, but Castiel refuses to finish him, throwing the blade away. Bartholomew tells him that there can be no peace without bloodshed, and pulls another angel blade from his suit. He tries to spring on Castiel, but Castiel catches him, and plunges the blade into his stomach. Bartholomew’s men look shocked, but they let Castiel pass.

Sam and Dean have Del detained in special demon cuffs. Del thinks that they’re going to serve him up to Crowley, but they have someone else in mind. Mrs. Tran gets the honor of dishing out some justice, and she uses his own blade against him. With Del dead she just wants to be taken to her son.

The boys return to the bunker, and deliver the good news to Kevin. They tell him that they found her mother, and that she’s there. He asks if they’ve told her yet, when she comes in, and sees him. Dean gives her all of Kevin’s things. She finds a ring, which was his fathers. She tells him that if Kevin’s spirit is bound to an object, its to that ring. Dean warns her, that they’re not sure about the whole heaven situation, but that being stuck in the Veil has some very negative effects on the spirits. It doesn’t matter to her though. Kevin is her son, and its her job to keep him safe.

Castiel goes to Rebecca’s grave. She may have lost the war, but he respects that she tried a new way to solve the problem. One of Bartholomew’s suit’s approaches Castiel. He makes it clear that he doesn’t want to fight, but he can and will. He doesn’t want to fight either. He tells Castiel that when he fell he thought he didn’t have a choice, but Castiel showed him that he does. Castiel may not think he’s a leader, but the angel thinks otherwise. He pledges himself to Castiel, and he is not alone.

Kevin plans to protect his mother too. She was held and tortured for a year because of him and he won’t let it happen again. Sam tells him that he failed him, but Kevin knows that it wasn’t Sam that killed him. He doesn’t blame either of them for his death, and he thanks them for what they’ve done. The job isn’t done until he gets to heaven, Dean tells him. Before he goes, he makes the boys promise him to get over it. The fighting, the drama he tells them is stupid. His mom is taking home a ghost, but he reminds the boys that they’re both still there. Although the boys agree to his wishes, Sam isn’t much for the forgive and forget. He walks away, and they both go back to their separate corners, for now.

Teen Wolf S3E20 - "Echo House" Recap

Stiles is taken to Eichen House, the mental institution. Scott arrives and objects to the plan but Stiles makes him promise to never let him out if they can't find a cure. Sheriff Stilinski nearly pulls out of the plan when he realises he forgot Stiles' pillow, but Stiles tries to reassure him that it will be okay. Shortly after his arrival, Stiles witnesses one of the patients commit suicide and sees the nogitsune around the same time. He wants to use the phone, having changed his mind about being there but the orderlies refuse his request.

Deaton and Argent were responsible for the plan to get the letharia vulpina. Deaton says that after a few days, the effects will wear off and the nogitsune will be back to its full lethal power. They are searching for a scroll that will tell how to exorcise the nogitsune and Allison realises that she might know where it is.

Stiles has a roommate, Oliver, who appears to be somewhat affable. When Stiles first enters him room, Oliver is strapped to the bed. Oliver explains that he heard the suicide because of the way the place was built. Given its propensity to echo, the place is nicknamed "Echo House." Also, Stiles fails to sleep his first night without his pillow. The next morning, Oliver shows Stiles where the phone is and when they get to it, another patient named Meredith is speaking into it. She sounds panicked and says, "One of them is standing right behind me." Is she just crazy or does she know what lies within Stiles? The phone is dead though, having been turned off for the 24 hours following the suicide - standard procedure. Stiles encounters Malia, who strikes Stiles in the face. She is restrained and when the orderlies also restrain Stiles, he has a flash where he sees himself in the basement. He then comes face-to-face with Mr. Morrell, the Beacon Hills High guidance counselor.

Derek and Chris are currently locked up and they discuss Stiles and plans on how to stop the nogitsune. Chris speaks about Berzerkers, people who conduct rituals with animals skins and work themselves up into a crazed frenzy. In the end, they must be killed because they have lost touch with who they are.  Chris says he would feel remorse killing Stiles but not for killing the nogitsune, if it came down to it. Given the fact that "Berzerker" was a practice by Vikings, you can't help but note what sort of history/mythology buffs these Teen Wolf writers must be.

Stiles keeps hallucinating the nogitsune during the group therapy being run by Ms. Morrell. She ends the session when she sees marks appearing on Stiles' neck. She pulls him aside and explains that they are what's known as the Lichtenberg Figure and they are the result of the injection he was given. She tells him when the marks are gone, the nogitsune will have returned. She gives him pills to keep him awake, stating that he's most vulnerable when asleep. She tells him that he needs to stay awake to give his friends time to come up with a cure. She also states that if they fail, she will give him a lethal injection to stop the nogitsune. He teams up with Malia in order to break into the basement. She wants to return to being a coyote because she believes things are simpler that way. He tells her that they need to get the keys from an orderly to get into the basement and then presumably either Derek or Scott will be able to teach her.

Scott, Allison, Lydia, and the twins plot to steal an armoured car to retrieve evidence from Katashi's body. Allison believes he had the scroll in his possession when he died.

Malia and Oliver fake an altercation so Malia can swipe the keys. When Stiles attempts to use them, the head orderly catches him and tells him no one has the keys to the basement. Stiles is taken to the "quiet room" and given a sedative. Much to his horror, he begins to go to sleep.

Kira shows up at Scott's place and says she wants to help. He tells her those who help them normally end up hurt. Nonetheless, she reveals that she has been practicing how to use a katana and has been picking things up very quickly, inexplicably so. Impressed by her abilities, Scott agrees to let her come along.

Stiles dreams he is trapped in a locker from which he cannot escape and is taunted by the nogitsune. Malia breaks into the quiet room and wakes Stiles. She tells him he can go through the closed unit to get into the basement, but this unit has the "real psychos."

When the gang tries to get their hands on the scroll, they find Kinkade, Katashi's former body guard who is also there to get the scroll. They offer him a bribe of 150,000 dollars but he refuses to hand over the silver finger, in which the scroll is hidden. They have no choice but to fight him. This task proves difficult, as Kinkade is massive and ferociously strong. The twins are prepared to kill him, believing him to be too dangerous, but Scott and Lydia stop him. Scott says that they're there to save a life, not end one.

Chris is called in to meet with his lawyer, but upon entering the room, finds it is the leader of the hunters from South America. She is upset he has changed his code and also wants to discuss Allison.

Stiles and Malia make their way into the basement and find the "self" symbol carved into the wall. They look through some papers but nothing there is of use. Stiles has Malia check his back and she tells him the marks are almost gone, much to his horror. One things leads to another and they have sex. Seriously. Strangest timing ever. Teenagers. Post-sex, Malia realises that the wall behind the symbol is hollow. Stiles proceeds to smash through it and they find the nogitsune's body, complete with the face bandages. Malia pulls a paper from the nogitsune's pocket, which he says he needs to give to Scott. Just then, Oliver attacks them with a stun gun. He then injects Malia and it is revealed that the nogitsune has possessed him, too. Oliver then restrains Stiles but begins to cough up blood. The Nogitsune tells Oliver to start with Malia. Stiles pleads with it to let her go and the nogitsune says that he'll let her go if Stiles lets the nogitsune back in. Stiles relents and surrenders himself to the nogitsune. Nogitus-Stiles is back, everyone!

Deaton reads the scroll and says that the only way to save a person possessed by the nogitsune is to change their body. Scott realises that this means Stiles must be turned into a werewolf. Does this mean Stiles will no longer be the resident human of the bunch?

Malia leaves Eichen House to find Scott, and presumably Stiles as well. Morrell tells her where to find Scott and as she leaves, we see her eyes turn blue. Did she lie about not knowing how to turn back into a coyote?

This episode has brought forth so many questions, twists, and the return of Nogitsu-Stiles. Only four more episodes left in Teen Wolf 3B! Stay tuned!
