18th ANNUAL UNFORGETTABLE GALA PRESENTED BY LEXUS

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. (December 14, 2019) – Character Media, a subsidiary of the Imperial Family Companies, announced today the winners of 18th Annual Unforgettable Gala presented by Lexus, during a star-studded gala at The Beverly Hilton. The Gala is the preeminent awards show to recognize Asian American icons and changemakers in the entertainment industry, who are representing the community through their creativity and excellence. Nominees were voted on by Character Media’s selection committee of experts, who represent various fields and creative disciplines, including film, television, music, sports, digital technology and philanthropy.

The following are this year’s winners:

On 4 Dec 2014, London Media Inc. formally announced its acquisition of Audrey Magazine and KoreAm Journal at this year's Unforgettable Gala. Four outstanding Asian Americans were awarded for their contributions to entertainment media and we were fortunate enough to interview some of the winners and notable guests on the red carpet of this star-studded event. Ming-Na Wen (recipient of The Actress of the Year Award) talked about the action on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., being a superhero, and teased about her upcoming horror film with Kevin Bacon.


Arden Cho (recipient of The Female Breakout Star of the Year Award) discussed the levels of diversity of Kira Yukimura (her character on Teen Wolf), Youtube, and clears up the reason for her lack of attendance at San Diego Comic Con 2014.


Ryan Potter (gala presenter) revelled in the success of Big Hero 6, shared his plans for the future, and gave his thoughts on San Diego Comic Con vs. New York Comic Con.


Tessanne Chin (gala performer), winner of Season 5 of The Voice, gave insight into the importance of encouraging better understanding of diversity as a multicultural, multiethnic Asian, and shared what she has been up to with her music career.


Karen David (gala presenter), star of the upcoming ABC series, Galavant, introduced the show's premise and offered exciting insights as to the many things she was able to do as Princess Isabella, and expressed the gratitude she feels to be able to play a role that can inspire other women of colour. Galavant will premiere on 4 January 2015.

London Trust Media, Inc. (LTM) will formally announce its recent acquisition of Audrey Magazine and KoreAm Journal at this year's 13th annual Unforgettable Gala on Friday, December 5, 2014, at the Legendary Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. Unforgettable is one of Asian America's premier, star-studded events, bringing together an impressive line-up of talent and prominent members of the community for an evening of awards and entertainment.

"LTM is excited to partner with Audrey and KoreAm because of their long-standing and respected reputation as pillars in the Asian American community," said Sung Park, CEO of London Trust Media. "We look forward to propelling the publications into the future by balancing the tradition which brought them here today with the new vision, innovation, and energy we bring through this merger."

Sponsored by Royal Salute and presented by Duracoat, this year's gala will honour and award five Asian American individuals for their outstanding achievements and contributions in the field of arts and entertainment. The award recipients include: John Cho (ABC's Selfie, FOX's Sleepy Hollow) - The Actor of the Year Award; Ming-Na Wen (ABC's Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) - The Actress of the Year Award; Ki Hong Lee (20th Century Fox film The Maze Runner) - The Male Breakout Star of the Year; Arden Cho (MTV's Teen Wolf) - The Female Breakout Star of the Year.

Yoon Mi Rae, Korean American hip-hop and R&B royalty, returns this year to perform her No. 1 hit song in Korea. Other featured artists include K-pop artist G.NA, winner of NBC's The Voice Tessanne Chin, beatbox champion KRNFX, along with collaboration performances from singer/songwriters Arden Cho and David Choi, and exciting dancer performances by Mike Song and KINJAZ.

In addition to the award recipients and performers, global stars Lisa Ling (CNN's This Is Life With Lisa Ling host), Han Ji-min (TV Drama Rooftop Prince) and Ko Soo (Film Way Back Home) are among the confirmed list of high-profile celebrities attending the gala this year.
