New Streaming Service Developed with Sony DADC New Media Solutions to Offer Ad-Free HD Hit   Anime TV Shows

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – January 7, 2016 – Funimation Entertainment, the go-to studio for extraordinary anime, is embarking on a new chapter.  With over 4 billion unique engagements in 2015 across digital, physical and other immersive channels, the industry leader is defining what it means to be a next- generation entertainment company.

Funimation has partnered with Sony DADC New Media Solutions (Sony) to leverage their Ven.ue platform bringing both scale and unique capabilities on the digital front to launch its new ad-free streaming anime service FunimationNow – the first in a series of moves to take this growing genre of entertainment, and Funimation, to the next level.

Regardless of device or platform, FunimationNow subscribers will enjoy ad-free, HD streaming of Funimation’s expansive library of over 400 simulcast and catalog titles, both subbed and dubbed, including acclaimed shows such as “Dragon Ball Z,” “Attack on Titan,” “Fairy Tail,” “One Piece,” “Tokyo Ghoul”, “Space Dandy” and many more.

FunimationNow begins its rollout in early February, when fans can look forward to completely redesigned iOS, Android, and Kindle apps, as well as brand new Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV apps.  The apps boast Airplay and Cast features, allowing you to watch on your TV from any mobile device.  Also coming in February is a brand new Windows 10 Universal app. In May, fans can also look forward to a fully re-imagined Funimation website and all new integrated experiences on Funimation gaming console apps.

So when the syndicate orders Carter’s death and Weiland’s ID’d as a snitch, the two team up to take down the mob and the crime boss (Berenger) who ordered the hit. Matt Dillon, Willem Dafoe, Neal McDonough. Amy Smart, and Tom Berenger star in Bad Country, a gritty action thriller from director Chris Brinker, a producer of The Boondock Saints.

BAD COUNTRY was screen written by Jonathan Hirschbein (Road to Paloma) from a story by Mike Barnett, Bud Connor, Tom Abernathy and Hirschbein. It was produced by Chris Brinker, Kevin Chapman, Jim Crabbe, Scott Einbinder, Nancy Green-Keyes, and Matthew Rhodes. One night, Topo (Cranston), a nearly blind career criminal, and his driver stop at the motel while en route to deliver cash to an unknown boss. After an accident kills his driver and impounds his car, he takes Chloe and Sophia hostage and forces Chloe to be his new driver and guide, using Sophia as collateral. They set out after Billy, who has stolen Topo’s money from the car. Hoping to escape to a better life, Chloe tries to strike a deal with Topo but soon finds herself in over her head, and a series of double crosses leaves a cloud of mayhem and murder.  

COLD COMES THE NIGHT is directed by Tze Chun from a screenplay by Tze Chun, Osgood Perkins & Nick Simon.  The film was produced by Mynette Louie and Trevor Sagan, with Scott Halle, Ali Jazayeri, Nick Morton, Jacob Pechenick and Rick Rosenthal serving as executive producers.
