Lost Girl Recap S2E14: Midnight Lamp

Bo forgets that Kenzi left town with Nate. It’s really quiet with her gone, and there’s no coffee, double boo. Bo calls her bestie, but settles for leaving her a message. Lachlan drops in with a retriever job.

Sadie is fawned over by a journalist. She draws off his fanboying, and loses his life to her hungers. She doesn’t even bat an eyelash when he falls over dead.

Lachlan tells Bo about a very naughty Ifrit, a type of Jinn, and he makes a mean cup of coffee. He tells her that they have to enslave the Ifrit to get the truth out of her, and they need info about the Garuda. Bo is a little against enslavement, cough, cough Lauren. And the Ash tells her that the doctor will play an important part before this is all done, but he’s willing to renegotiate her at a later point. Bo is willing to play, but she has to go meet Ryan to get the lamp, the hottie guy Lachlan sent to her birthday party.

Trick goes over his vision with Dyson and Hale. He tells them about the Garuda, and its thirst for a renewed war.

Bo looks over the beautiful and odd bracelet Ryan gave her. Trick gives her a call, and doesn’t like the fact that Lachlan told her about the Garuda. He had no clue that Lachlan was involved, and he doesn’t like not knowing. Dyson has his own confession. He tells Trick about the truth he revealed about not being about to love Ciara. He doesn’t want to move past Ciara too, so he’s off to seek answers.

Bo heads over to Ryan’s high tech place. It’s quite the madman’s workshop, and he’s fast at work. He finishes his latest gadget, and tells her to hit him. His belt doesn’t work quite like its suppose to, but he’s off to find her lamp. He’s got many lamps, some with their share of kinks, but her lamp happens to be a music box. A mix of science and magic isn’t so easily obtained. She didn’t even thank him for her bracelet, and although he won’t give it to her, he will sell it. He bills the Ash, and does some not so subtle flirting. Box gets her lamp, and Ryan runs to put out some flames.

Bo stakes out Sadie’s stomping grounds, but someone has beaten her to her prey, none other than Ryan. He introduces her to Sadie, who takes Bo by surprise, with compliments, and she’s taken in by her. Sadie lays a hand on Bo’s arm, and Ryan cools down her effect. Bo pulls Ryan to the bar for a drink, and the bartender even flirts with him. Its hard not to be taken in by his flirtiness. He’s left out a key piece of trapping the Ifrit, because he’s got a little voyeur itch he wants to scratch. She agrees to let him watch, and he tells her the magic words. He gives Bo the low down on the Ifrit powers, and how to control them. Ryan tries to pick her up with the private jet line, and Bo continues to play hard to get.

Dyson plays the Norn a little visit. And he’s nothing left to give. He claims that she over reached, while she threatens to neuter him for his outbursts, but she’s willing to clarify. He screwed the pooch. Wolves mate for life, and since he gave Bo all his love, and she took that, he has none left to give anyone. Wolfy is not a happy boy.

Bo watches Sadie, looking for a good moment to pounce. She makes off without Ryan, and they find Sadie’s latest victim, though still not sure her power. Bo exclaims that she wanted to spend more time with Sadie, and she appears. Bo miscasts Ryan’s lamp, and when he tries to help her, they jostle it, and it falls to the ground broken. It works, but they’re inside too, and Sadie is pissed. Sadie throws some wicked fireballs, and he tells Bo to use the bracelet all Wonder Woman style. Ryan tries to remember what he was doing when he built the maze. He tells her that he’s a Loki, he comes from a family of mischief makers. He ponders the greatness of being a succubus, and asks about her solitary feedings. He tinkers with the box, which allows her to make a sos call to Dyson. It works barely, but Sadie catches up to them, and they have to make a run for the attic. Lucky them, he wasn’t sober when he designed that part either, and he’s off for more tinkering.

Dyson tracks down the smashed up lamp. Ryan isn’t so good at fixing his own trap and releasing them. Bo is struggling in her title, and Ryan respects Bo and her nonaligned position. His enlightening moment, is double edged, and he remembers how to free them, but freedom looks off, and Sadie sends him plummeting down the shaft. Bo tells her that she just destroyed their way out. Sadie needs the spotlight though, and when she threatens to burn the entire box down, Bo goes into fawning mode and has the Ifrits attention.

The lamp is broken, and Trick can’t fix it with his tuning fork, luckily there someone is there with perfect pitch. Hale sings the lamp, as Bo struggles to maintain focus. Sadie vamps it up, when she notices that she’s being somewhat summoned. A whispy Bo talks to the boys, while the Ifrit feeds off her. They need to control the Ifrit, but the boys don’t have control over the box. Bo goes for another option. She punches the Ifrit, “overwhelmed” being near her, and asks for a kiss. Sadie doesn’t refuse, and as Bo leans in Ryan climbs up the elevator shaft. Bo leaves her make on the Ifrit by way of hickey, and turns out Ryan fixed his belt just in time. Ryan tells her to burn straight down as hot as she can, and there’s a 50/50 chance they’re all released. Bo takes the chance and makes the wish. They’re released. The guys are stunned, but Bo is in a rush. Sadie refuses to go into the lamp for less than a million. But Bo tells Lachlan they aren’t looking for slaves, and he can either get his information her way or none at all. Rather than being his champion, she offers him partnership, and he accepts.

Bo arrives with Ryan’s payment. Bo is unsure the Ash got what he wanted, but she hopes he did. She begrudgingly admits that she had a good time, Ryan did as well. He asks her out again, but Bo declines on account of her complicated history. He heaps on the compliments, and he tells her he’s not really interested in either of their baggage, clean slate. He tells her he’ll be thinking about her either way, and she rips off her clothes. Thank goodness. Finally.

Ciara finds Dyson at the Dal, and she wants answers now. She thinks she knows everything about the Norn. She heard about the rumors when Stephan died, but Dyson tells her about his most recent dealings. He offered his wolf, but she took his love he confesses. He tells her that he cannot love her, and she’s pissed off that he couldn’t give up his wolf for her husband, but he could for Bo. What? Way to think about yourself fairy princess.

Bo and Ryan leave each other breathless. And he asks if she’s ever been with a dark fae, and  it ruins her afterglow. He tells her that he’s not defined by his clan, that there are no rules, and that if she wants to walk she can. It only turns her on more, and she hops on for round two.

Lost Girl Recap S2E13: Barometz. Trick. Pressure

Lauren continues taking from Bo, this time, her car. Lauren is planning a little road trip with Nadia, and while Bo tries to be a good friend, Lauren plans to put some space between them. And ever clueless, drops the bomb that she’s recommitted herself to the Ash, whom she owes for Nadia’s recovery.

Mr. You know Who vents about his to be, but his day wont come when he complains about the eggs that were cooked for him. A knock on the head with a frying pan finally quiets him, and his wife turns into him.

Kenzi gets some cutesy messages from Nate likely by the smile on her face, but Bo is planning on breaking into the Ash’s compound and do more than a little panty raid. She wants revenge for his underhanded scheme, but she can’t really spill the full beans, and bottom line is he broke her trust, and she’s gonna kick him in the pants for it. For once Kenzi is understanding and sentimental, love has made her optimistic. Bo leaves the softer Kenzi at home to enjoy her day.

Ciara helps Dyson pack up his house, poking fun at his favorite t-shirt. Everyone is just a little too mushy happy. She jokes that the ridiculous shirt with Hale’s face has to go, and tosses it in the trash. Dyson leaps to make her pay, in a likely sweaty naked way.

Bo asks what happens if she kills the Ash. Although complicated, Trick cannot help. Tonight happens to be the blood moon, where Trick can see the future. He tells Bo to forget about Lachlan and get him the Kingmore ring, a handy piece of swag that can stop him from bleeding out once the ritual starts. Trick gives her a hefty payment for the ring,

Bo heads to the motel meet-up place, and the shifter wears her face for the negotiation. The shifter holds her at gun point, crazy about getting a better cut. She’s a little upset about all the risks that she’s been, and lost of identity. Wiggling a boot off, Bo renders the shifter incapacitated with the touch of her bare foot. Bo doesn’t shortchange the shifter, and for once he’s himself, but she does get her ring.

Dyson and Hale take Trick to see Wai Lin, a former lover, to get the hallucinogen inducing Barometz. She cuts through Hale’s bullshit, and Trick tells the boys that she’ll pull the truth out of them. Both parties lay their cards on the table, and the price is four questions.

Nate comes to visit Kenzi, and he’s got a surprise for her, the song she wrote for her when she was sick. And it has to be the cutest thing ever. This softer side of Kenzi is overly sweet, and Kenzi pulls away, worried over Bo, but Nate isn’t giving up.

Wai Lin asks about a box Trick was carrying in the past, one he wouldn’t tell her about then. Trick refuses to say now as well, but when she taunts that he’s the blood king, a fact that surprises Hale, but not Dyson. Trick finally tells her. In the box was skull of a bad man. Next she asks about his wife’s death. His wife was killed in the great fae war, in battle. Trick is demands the baromitz, but Lin wants one more questions since she had to force one of his answers. She asks if it was his fault that his wife died. Perhaps. Lin offers Dyson a good time, and he tells her that he’s spoken for. She asks if he loves her, and he doesn’t answer, so she clacks her nails and forces the answer. He can’t love Ciara.

Bo delivers the ring to Trick, worried for his safety. Hale picks up on the fact that he’s the only one that didn’t know Trick was the Blood King. Dyson is a little shaken, and Trick tells her to leave Lachlan be. He’s currently their most powerful ally. He tells her to stand down, and she asks for a book for a quiet night in, Dyson gives her a scroll to help her.

Kenzi plays some drums, and Nate finds reasons for Kenzi to get close before he shatters her world and tells her that he’s leaving. She’s hurt, but he wants her to come with him. She answers him with a kiss, Kenzi is in.

Trick gives Dyson and Hale instructions for his trance mode. They tie him down, and hook him up to the juice, and off he goes to a drive in movie, where he’s the star. Everything that is happening shows on the screen. His wife is there, and it is a happy reunion.

Bo sneaks into the Ash’s compound using the scroll Dyson handed her. She evades the guards and rifles through his papers, nothing good. She finds his super secret  chess, out in the open, and busts open the locks. Come on find the head, and yes she finds his head. Lifting out the top tray, she finds several of his heads! And he finds her, and gives chase, crazy teeth bared.

Trick’s wife has been waiting since she died waiting for him, she says. She’s seen the future and he should fear it. Some ancient fae fed off the aggression during the war, and when he ended the war, it starved, and now that fae is pissed. She tells him that he created a false peace, that a true peace was coming. Trick thought he had no choice. She tells him he can unwrite the wrongs, that if he does what this thing asks he can have his wife back. Don’t do it Trick, it’s a trap! Some creepy guy watches the movie unfold.

Bo headbutts Lachlan, and he turns back, telling her he wishes she wasn’t the one that came to take his head. He taunts her into a sword fight with the mentioning of her mother, Aoife. Trick’s wife urges him on. Bo and Lachlan dance, trading insults. Lachlan is a little too calm, he’s clearly testing her. But Bo is holding her own. Trick tries to use his blood, but the ring prevents him. Finally Trick sees through charade. When he calls her on it, the creepy guy emerges from his car with a shriek. Lachlan wants to see Bo’s true face, still thinking that Bo was sent by someone. Bo didn’t come for an assassination attempt, but for the truth. Lachlan lowers his weapon at the mention of the Nain Rouge. He throws down his weapon and falls to his knee, but unarmed Bo can’t strike him down, though she’s not above kicking him one good.

Trick calls out the Garuda, a being that isn’t as extinct as they’re suppose to, and he is pissed. Trick killed off their food supply, and they’ve been lying in wait ever since, waiting to smell Trick’s blood again. They scented him when he subdued Aoife. The Garuda announces Trick’s location to his brethren.

Lachlan is ready for a confessional. He was using Lauren to test Bo, he needed to make sure she was one of the good guys. Lachlan is the last of the Naga, and the heads are those of his brothers, clefted from his shoulders over the years for his venom. The only way to kill the Garuda, the thing coming, is Lachlan’s venom. He’s been tracking them forever, and he needed to be sure Bo could control her anger, unlike her mother. Bo’s powers come from lust and passion, not aggression, like the Garuda thrives on. Lachlan asks Bo to lead the fae into battle against the Garuda.

Time’s up for Trick, and Hale and Dyson struggle to free in from his contraption. Dyson finally pulls free a tube, knocking them all out.

Ciara looks at the discarded shirt, and tosses it in a moving box.

Hale, Dyson, and Trick all remain unconscious.

Bo returns home, still stunned, and Kenzi is bursting at the scenes with good news. Nate is a sex god, and she asks Bo if she should go away on tour. Bo tells her to go, plots to save the world.

Lost Girl Recap S2E12: Masks

For once Kenzi is up before noon, in preparation for her family gathering, and Bo is off for a little workout. Kenzi has something planned up her sleeve though, something Bo knows nothing about.

Lauren is brought before Lachlan, her normal chipper self. He wants her back to work, but Lauren still isn’t ready to play. She threatens to take Nadia to the Morrigan, but Lachlan isn’t playing into her hand. Lachlan knows who cursed Nadia, the former Ash. He needed a cure for what was plaguing the fae, and Lauren was that doctor. Lachlan has also discovered the shaman who made the curse, and he’s willing to continue to work to awaken Nadia, but Laure going back to work is nonnegotiable. She’s not happy, but she goes.

Kenzi hits Hale and Rrick for Bo’s shindig, which sounds like it is going to be one heck of a party. Bo asks Hale and Trick about their weekend plans, and the two play coy. Bo is hoping Lauren can score a weekend pass. She gets a call hoping its Lauren, but instead its her favorite person, Lachlan, who wishes for an audience.

Lachlan hosts a little tea party, but Bo isn’t wanting to listen to his fortune cookie philosophy, so he cuts to the point. He wants Bo to sweet talk the shaman and save Nadia, but there’s a catch. The nail can only be removed by someone requesting it out of pure selfless love, who gets nothing out of it, which is Bo to a T. Lachlan has made all the travel arrangements, Bo just has to go.

Kenzi’s party planning continues, as Bo prepares to go to Africa, sword in hand, which may just put a damper on Kenzi’s plans. Bo heads into the fae traveling office, where Peggy explains the crazy fae way to travel. Once some waivers are signed, Peggy bends the earth and send Bo to Africa, right to the Shamman’s door. The Shamman shows her all of his curses, for which there are many. He’s not doing so well, but still remembers which one is her nail, one he paid handsomely to have placed. The light is not all good, they’re willing to play dirty. Bo asks for the price to remove the nail, he sends her on a quest to retrieve a stolen artifact.

Kenzi tries out bands for the night, and strikes out hard when when there’s a knock on her door. It’s a familiar face, her former neighbor Nate, who she had quite the crush on as a kid. Without even hearing him play anything, she hires him on the spot.

Dyson is having a rough day, Ciara is house shopping, and Dyson is drowning his sorrows. Trick knows Dyson has been struggling since he visited the Norn. Bo serves as the perfect distraction when she comes in about her Pretta hunt. Pretta’s lust after things they can’t have, and Trick knows of one that may be her culprit. Trick tells her that she has to make a trade to the Pretta, and he gives her his dead wife’s bracelet.

Kenzi’s party favors turn out to be a disaster, and it’s not the only thing going wrong. Kenzi steals a bit of icing from Hale’s cake, and finds a worm. Hale wonders what else is in the organic fae cake.

Bo and Dyson pay Peggy a little visit for their traveling plans. She’s a little hung up on calling numbers, but Dyson plays along. Peggy sends the duo to Madagascar to hunt down their Pretta, who finds them before they can locate him. He takes them to his little vault of treasures, which brings him no pleasure. He can’t touch his pilfered goods after he brings to home, they turn to sand. What a sucky power. Bo shows him what she brought for trade, warning her  that even the sand is just as dangerous as his touch. Cautiously Bo lays down the bracelet and asks for the healing mask.

Lauren has a little chat with Nadia, and tells her of her awful treatment by the Ash.  She tells her of her hopes for the future. And even as she’s on the brink of crying I feel no sympathy for her. “Introducing” Nadia to drum up some Lauren sympathy is completely not working for me.

The Pretta shows Bo and Dyson where the Mask is, and there are plenty of piles of sand between them and the Mask. The Pretta refuses to help them with the actual retrieval, leaving Bo to navigate though the sand, many of which are people who came to trade the Pretta before. Dyson finds that the Pretta’s robe is unaffected by the sand, and gives Bo a piece of the robe material, but the Pretta isn’t playing fair. He lets in a draft, and makes Bo’s quest impossible as the sand starts swirling. Dyson uses the Pretta’s powers against him, and throws his treasures at him, causing many around him, including Trick’s bracelet to disappear.. The distraction works, and Dyson gets the door shut so Bo can retrieve the mask. She takes some of the sand with her, to replace Trick’s bracelet.

Kenzi sits in rapture listening to Nate play the guitar and sing, her crush still firmly intact. She may not be the only one crushing, but Nate is a little more tactful. Relationship statuses out of the way, and something may be brewing.

Trip #3 for Bo, and she far more touchy this time, knowing that her time is limited. She uses the mask on the shaman just in time, and asks him to remove the nail. He gives Bo the power to remove Nadia’s nail. As she starts to remove the nail, Nadia’s vitals go crazy. Bo pulls the nail free, and Nadia awakens, as if nothing happened. Bo begins to remove the other nails, though she shouldn’t have the power to do so. The shaman tells her that not all of the cursed are like Nadia, many are bad people. But Bo doesn’t believe that he has the right to be judge and jury, so she pours sand over his remaining nails, leaving him unable to curse anyone else.

Ciara bought a house, which she is very much in love with. Bo delivers a recap to Lachlan, but wants to know if she was successful. Lachlan tells her to look for herself, without resorting to a bodybag entrance. She thanks him again, and he tells her to remember that in the days to come. Bo goes to find Nadia, and finds her and Lauren making out, not exactly what Bo was expecting, but Lachlan did kind of warn her.

At home, she walks into Kenzi’s surprise party, which turns out to be a very happy surprise. Kenzi introduces Bo to Nate, before chasing after him. Dyson bares gifts, in the form of a replacement knife for the one she lost to the Pretta. Lauren shows up with Nadia in tow, which makes the party drift into awkwardness. Lauren gives Bo her gift, another weapon, death stars. And Trick comes with a gift too, a walking stick that happens to be a weapon too. It was his wife’s. A handsome stranger comes to deliver a gift as well from an admirer. It’s a beautiful bangle, which Bo is happy that it’s not a weapon. Mr. Hottie cautions her to read to inscription before making any judgments. When she goes to read the inside he disappears, and she’s left alone at her party.

Kenzi delivers some coffee the morning after, and the two go over all the big bombshells from the previous night, landing on the mystery man, who neither knows or invited. Strange. Kenzi gives Bo her gift, something far more personal than a weapon, she gives her a sketchbook of her party, hand drawn by the talented Nate. Bo’s happy for Kenzi, Kenzi just wishes she could be happy for Bo too. Hooking up with Mr. Hottie could be a start.

Lauren delivers Nadia’s progress to Lachlan, and in her gratitude, she pledges herself to the Ash. With her recommitment, he places her necklace back on her neck, forever.

Lost Girl Recap S2E11: Can’t See the Fae-rest

Kenzi tries to lure Bo to the darkside for stylish duds, but she remains good, when Ciara comes out of the store. Kenzi fakes food poisoning, and Bo gets out of the awkward lunch proposition Ciara presents.

During a snazzy party, Guy takes a drunk girl into his bedroom, but before she can make her condom selection, something twists him up, and it sounds nasty and wet. Cue the screaming.

Dyson and Hale work the crime scene, and its very similar some others, three in two weeks in fact. Wealthy, at home, crush bones and asphyxiation. The girl is not a suspect in Guy’s death. Hale feels its fae related, and Dyson thinks the same. The boys plan to find a way into the party, that’s not them.

Hale and Dyson make a hard sell to the girls for the parties. And the opportunity is too good to pass up, the girls agree, but it means hanging out with a friendly face, Ciara, She’s more than happy to give Bo the inside scoop about the party people, as well as a wardrobe. Ciara guilts Bo into at least trying on her dress, and she does.

At the party, Leeta gives out a custom gift to the host, Russell. Kenzi plots on the swag bags, but Bo has other things on her mind. The host makes straight for Kenzi and Bo, and Bo throws Kenzi straight at him, and its pretty much a match made in heaven, when he tells her about the snacks in each bathroom. Bo hunts for Leeta, her likeliest suspect. She “recognizes” Clive, and when they start to chat, Leeta swoops in. She’s not exactly rude, but she’s tells Bo she can’t help her with her project, she only deals with mens clothing. Bo asks Clive about the deceased, Cameron, but he isn’t ready to talk about him, and gets all twitchy.

Kenzi asks Russell about Cameron, and he’s more choked up than anything. He doesn’t say much, and Kenzi has a case of sticky fingers, which leads to Cameron offering to introduce her to Leeta. Kenzi doesn’t get that introduction, but instead something across the back of her head. She awakens with a dead Russell draped across her and a freaked out Clive.

Lachlan looked over a Peri, a tiny endangered fae, and questions Lauren’s findings. She’s a bit distracted by Nadia, but Lachlan refuses to budge about his desires.

Kenzi doesn’t do well in the interrogation room. Ross tries to play bad cop with her, but Hale comes in to take over. Kenzi spills what really happened. She doesn’t have much more than the business card holder she found by Leeta.

Bo shares her sandwich with someone who looks like they need it more than she does, Maganda. Maganda isn’t making much sense, she’s some sort of tree person, but she does give her a sort of description. Bo takes her turn in questioning. Dyson goes over the floor plan, with “Succubus Barbie”, and there’s one name missing from the party list.

Bo, Dyson and Ciara go over crime notes, and Ciara thinks that Leeta may be using her own fae skin to craft her wares. Gross, the idea of a Leeta skin anything is off putting, but very green. Snake skin seems to be a common denominator, and Ciara suggests that Dyson goes undercover, and together with Bo, bait Leeta. Both Bo and Dyson are uncomfortable with the idea, but Ciara thinks it’s the best way to bring out the predator in Leeta, and the two agree.

Bo and Dyson meet up with Leeta about a new wardrobe. Leeta instantly pounces on the idea, but when he mentions Russell, Leeta is suddenly all booked up. Knowing the jig is up, Dyson resorts to more direct methods, and Leeta bares her fangs and spits venom  at Dyson. She gives chase, and Bo gets tripped up outside by Maganda. Dyson catches Leeta. They take her back to the Ash, and rifle through her files. All of the victims on the list happen to be clients, and Hines, someone whom doesn’t fit her normal clientel.

Clive meets with Hale and Kenzi, and they question him about Leeta. Leeta has always been the bright shiny center piece of the party, and subject of Clive’s crush. Hines, the Cobalt, meets with Dyson and Bo, and there seems to be a dark market for Leeta’s handicrafts. Leeta gets some rat snacks, and Leeta gets a week from her sales. Hines doesn’t recognize the victims, and makes a quick break.

Leeta awakens and Dyson and Hale question her. She loved her clients, and ran because she thought she was getting busted for selling her own skin.

Ciara enters the Dal, and for the first time Bo isn’t ready to retreat. She’s taken a liking to the girl for once. Ciara and Bo talk about mamawatas, which is what Leeta is. Being not the strangling type, but rather a poisonous one, she’s obviously too late, just like Kenzi’s call warning Clive. Dyson confirms Clive’s death, which Kenzi feels responsible for.

Cobalt Hines is trying to peddle his goods in the Dal, which doesn’t make Trick too happy. He’s desperate to get his stools, cutting boards and beds off his hands, but Trick sends the cobalt packing.

Lachlan doesn’t like Lauren’s Peri findings. Someone is killing them off, and she has a theory, but she wants something from him first. Lachlan is familiar with the nail that cursed Nadia. He refuses her requests for upper level access for the previous Ash’s items. She quits her position, and threatens to take Nadia and leave, but Lachlan isn’t willing to deal with her tantrum. He has guards take her away, but he does make a call to have the former Ash’s journals retrieved.

Dyson, Hale, Bo, Kenzi and Ciara pour over case notes. Besides Kenzi, there’s another person linked to the victims, the homeless lady, Maganda. Bo recalled that her cart was filled with wooden goods when she ran into her during Leeta’s flight. Trick concludes shes a Batibat, a fae who is connected to a single tree, normally peaceful until their tree is cut down. She needs to keep every single piece, and cannot help herself when she’s looking for one. Lucky for the group they don’t have to hunt her down, she appears and gets Dyson in her death grip. Hale’s powers are not help, Ciara resorts to a fire poker, which does little to help. Bo finds what Maganda is searching for, Hines’s cane. Bo lures Maganda into Trick’s vault, so they can track down Hines and get the rest of Maganda’s tree back. Hines had no clued the wood belonged for a Batibat, but Bo forces him to make it right. Maganda agrees to stay in custody while Hines collects back every piece of her tree.

Bo pays Ciara a visit. She really does have a soft spot for her. She extends her friendship to Ciara, worried that although she’s with Dyson, she’s lonely. It’s written plainly. Bo gives her some sound advice, and she takes it. When Dyson gets home, the dinner for two looks like trouble, and he couldn’t be more right. Ciara pours out her heart to him, asking him if her will love her back, and though he promises to give her everything, he doesn’t tell her what is missing from him.

Maganda looks happy in her cell with her tree. Bo is thankful for Lachlan’s help and sends her back up. Little does Bo know, he’s got Lauren in the cell across the hall.

Lost Girl Recap S2E9: Original Skin

Kenzi gets some gorgeous new shoes, that she finally paid off, but Bo is distracted with self help books. Kenzi plans an intervention, and calls for a girls night out. They need it, but Bo is worried about running into Dyson and Ciara. Kenzi isn’t ready to give in, and talks Bo to go incognito to the Dal. Bo is in, but the Dal is dead. The only people in attendance are Dyson and Hale. And it only gets worse when Lauren shows up as well. In Trick’s tap room, some weird twitchy guy injects one of the kegs. Looks like tonight is about to get a whole lot more fun. Bo and Lauren share a little awkward moment. Bo tries to keep her distance, Lauren is a bit flirty, but cuts her off to do official Ash business.

Lauren can’t find what she’s looking for in the books she has. Trick warns her about dealing with dark shaman. Neither have been sleeping well, and the lack of customers is telling. Lauren suggests getting a mechanical bull, which certainly sounds fun.

One ex down, Bo moves on to mend fences with Dyson. She extends an olive branch of friendship, with no ulterior motives. Ciara walks in and immediately gets the wrong impression, claws out. Bo really isn’t the cause for her ruffled feathers, Dyson’s holding back on her and she’s all too upset about it. Bo takes back her friendship beer taking offense to Dyson’s claims of nothing. But the party has just begun, when a bounty hunter, Woods, comes shutting down the Dal and barring the exit. A mental patient has escaped, aka Mr. Twitchy, Raynard, and Woods has the magic to keep everyone in until he’s caught. Rather than evacuating as Trick suggests, Woods tells them that Raynard may already be in one of them. Woods isn’t taking any chances, and although Dyson is tolerating this lockdown, Trick doesn’t like it at all. Seems like Raynard stole a gargon’s blood and found a way to get under people’s skin. Dyson finds the body, the blood syringe, and the tainted blood. So everyone except Trick becomes a suspect, let the body swapping begin! Raynard has someone’s body, and someone is not in control.

Looks like our Bobo is the culprit, as she wakes up in a dream Dal, and has a chat with a little girl that sounds a lot like the Resident Evil child, she’s in limbo.

The group resorts to bickering amongst themselves. The only ones not talking are Dyson and Bo. Kenzi is her usually snarky self, but no one seems to have picked up on the imposter yet.

The little girl happens to be the Nain Rouge. The harbinger of doom, a messenger disaster, she there to witness big events, and she’s been stalking Bo because unless IsaBo(?) fulfills her destiny everyone is doomed. Apparently her destiny is to kill Trick.

Woods questions Hale and Kenzi, first, and they playfully bicker as Dyson and Trick size up Woods. They believe him to be a Boraro, who is not only good at tracking, but not afraid to play dirty. Hale finally admits he and Kenzi are friends, and Bo continues to be an odd ball, desperate to leave, and red flags finally go up for Ciara. Bo quickly explains it off, but Ciara doesn’t do more than look awkward. Kenzi overhears just a little, and when Bo mentions Kenzi’s new kicks, she calls out Reynard’s hiding place. How did no one else pick up on Bo’s crazy? Reynard makes a grab for Kenzi, and Dyson can only make idle threats. He may not have his heart, but he still wouldn’t hurt Bo.

The real Bo is ready to break free of her sucky purgatory prison, and although the Nain Rouge cannot intervene directly, she gives her some advice, and Bo chooses a way back, which promises to mess up things even more.

Reynard releases Kenzi, and Woods tries to carve him out of Bo, but Dyson steps between them, giving Bo time to release Reynard. With Reynard out, looks like Woods is now Bo, and Bo is Woods, and then everyone does a big old swaparoo. This is quickly shaping up to be my favorite episode as Kenzi ponders the tightness of her pants, Dyson slaps himself silly over his facial hair, and Hale adopts Ciara’s accent. It’s certainly nametag time!

While the group sorts out where Reynard is, Woods questions how the bodyswap happened. When Bo came back, she caused a ripple effect. Can we pause right here and say how hilarious it is to hear Dyson (Kenzi) exclaim about the “wolf junk.” Looks like Dyson is in Kenzi’s body and none too pleased about her being in his. But Dyson (Kenzi) dancing around and playing with the sexy voice is priceless. Kris Holden-Ried is seriously perfection!

Hale (Ciara) gets her name tag, but there’s a holdup delivering the last one when Lauren proclaims that she is Dyson, not Kenzi. There’s a little Texas showdown, and Kenzi (Dyson) takes control with a round of 20 questions. Hale (Ciara) uses the game to poke further at open wounds, rather than to get to the bottom of things, while the Ciara (Hale) wants to make out with Dyson’s body. Looks like the Gorgon blood is having another effect, and is magnifying the emotions of the host.

Bo mentions the Nain Rogue when they ponder Lauren’s spiritual whereabouts, which is enough for Trick to pull her for a one on one. Bo recognized the little girl from before, but never mentioned it. Trick is very concerned about the omen, but Bo doesn’t reveal what she saw, and Bo (Woods) takes to strangling the truth out of Lauren, which is one scene I’ve been waiting for.

Dyson breaks up the fun, and Bo’s body goes into hungermode. She grabs Ciara (Hale) and relentlessly feeds as Lauren smile gleefully at the room panics to stop her before she kills the body. Dyson restrains a chi drunk Woods, and Bo sits down with Ciara, she doesn’t give her the answers she’s looking for, but she does promise to return her chi so she can have her body back. The bad news keeps coming when Trick reveals Lauren (Reynard) has escaped.  There’s only one place Bo (Woods) believes Reynard would go, fueled by Lauren’s rage, straight to the Ash.

Kenzi (Dyson) can’t warn of Reynard’s escape with his celluar, and they remain trapped fast by Woods’s spell. Trick points out just how bad killing the new Ash could be, especially if a dark fae like Woods incompetence caused it. Wood wants all of the glory for the bag when the trap loophole is figured out. The trap only works against humans, which leaves just one person. As Kenzi appreciates her body’s alcohol tolerance, Dyson prepares to go after Reynard, but not before Ciara gives him a goodbye/good luck kiss. Kenzi gives him care instructions for her body, and Dyson prepares to do battle in his very human body.

Lauren (Reynard) plays mad scientist in Lauren’s lab and requests an audience with the Ash. Brewing up a wicked concoction, he prepares for his V for Vendetta move.

Kenzi gives Bo mad props over her succubus restraint, which makes her questions what it feels like inside of Dyson. Kenzi doesn’t spill his beans, unwilling to betray his confidences, and Bo respects that. Woods gets board and resorts to girlie hair pin tricks to release himself.

Dyson finds the Ash’s compound has already fallen, and Reynard already has the Ash held hostage in Lauren’s grip. Reynard has a syringe full of freedom and Belladonna that ensures chaos. Reynard doesn’t want to wait for what’s coming, he plans to speed up the process. Dyson and the Ash talk renovations, but Lachlan left some of the old fixtures in place, and luckily a tile that shoots lightning, which he uses to incapacitate Lauren.

Kenzi worries about her body, and Bo teases sharing Dyson’s for all eternity if he gets hers dead. But of course Woods, has more bad news. With Reynard missing, Woods needs to cover his tracks, and plans to burn the Dal to the ground. Kenzi refuses to let that happens, and puts Dyson’s wolfy charms to good use, but Bo’s body is stronger than she expects. Bo tries to use his body against him, but she doesn’t have to cause Trick has knock out powder. And luckily Trick has found a way to get them all back in their own bodies, just as Dyson arrives back with his prisoner.

Circle drawn Trick chants and everyone is returned to their former body. Bo gives Ciara back her chi, and she awakens thankful. Woods takes his prisoner and thanks everyone. Hale sees to Lauren, and she got her dead aunt’s cheesecake recipe in limbo, whereas Hale can’t remember Limbo. He got a powernap out of it. Dyson and Ciara take their leave, and thank Bo. Ciara is extra thankful to Bo. Whereas Dyson has a new respect for the fragile mortal Kenzi, who just may be the strongest person he knows. These two manage to pull a little tear from me, with their touching portrayals. Kenzi feels an emptiness in him, and an understanding of he and Bo. Watching Dyson and Ciara leave, Bo doesn’t feel jealous, and Kenzi tells her she shouldn’t be.

Trick and Bo share a drink, but side steps the full truth of what the Nain Rouge showed her.  She does reveal that the Nain Rouge called her Isabo, which means something to Trick, but the two hold onto their secrets.

The Ash is pretty pissed about being a hostage, and beefs up his security. He goes to his secret lock box, which contains his own severed head. WTF? Is the Ash still himself, has he beheaded his twin, or is there some other twisted reason he has a severed head that looks exactly like his in a trunk? How very Seven of him.

Lost Girl Recap S2E7: Fae Gone Wild

Bo isn’t ready to open the box that the Morrigan gave her. She thinks it all gloom and doom, though Kenzi taunts her to toss it out, they both know that she can’t do that either.

Some pretty leather clad girls give the police station a little show. And not a single one of the officers stop the girls as they disarm them and strip them down, all while some creeper in the holding room watches. Hmmm, so what are the dark fae up to now? Dyson and Hale return to the office to see most of the guys in half dress, and their prisoner missing. The Zephyr, who’s human was broken out, and Dyson can’t ID the girl caught on camera, yet.

The suspect girl’s mother comes to Bo and Kenzi for help. She’s been missing for the last 10 years after a fight with her mother. Bo is willing to take the case so long as Sheri isn’t working with Zephyr. Kenzi doesn’t completely believe the mother, but a digging they will go. Kenzi starts with her Russian peeps for info, and Ksenia Solo shows off her dialect skills.

Hale got no information from the officers in questions, nothing he can use. Thankfully Dyson has a lead, and Kenzi has one for Bo too, which leads Bo to his parked van, and Sheri’s getaway clothes. Bo gives the van a quick once over, but she has company. Trying to find a place to hide, she finds Zephyr, and Dyson and Hale find her. Zephyr is not only dead, hung and missing a hand and possibly something from his side, but Bo isn’t sharing her goods. She makes a quick break as the boys are left to investigate. The death looks ritualistic, and they plan to take the body to Lauren.

The girls go through Bo’s pilfered glovebox goods. For being tree-folk they seem a bit carnivorous, and not nearly as woodsy as Kenzi would like. And Bo’s day just gets worse, as Dyson’s girlfriend or whatever Ciara arrives. Bo wants the low down about Ciara from Trick, and turns out she has something more to one up Bo on, she’s some sort of Billionaire, and Bo lives in a house with no walls. Poor Bo-bo. Kenzi scores a VIP membership to a gentleman’s club, and Kenzi plans their outing to the strip club. Dyson connects one of the officers, Officer Boyd, to the dancing girls; they just have to find out how he knows her, since he gave her his key card to get into the station in the first place.

Bo and Kenzi arrive at the strip club, which is full of all kinds of writhing beauties, who are hypnotizing one very enticing  fae. Even Bo looks a bit awestruck. They watch Sheri as she works the crowd, and Kenzi is feeling more than a little hot and bothered. Bo is feeling horny, but not hypnotized, when her stage time is done, Kenzi calls her over for a lap dance. Bo makes small talk, and Sheri gets nervous. Kenzi’s quick talking leads to Bo’s getting a job.

Kenzi is calling this job done, but Bo isn’t satisfied with the answer. They found the girl, but there is so much more left unanswered. Looks like Bo will have to work the strip club after all.
Hale interrogates Boyd. He claims that he was set up, but Hale doesn’t believe him. Boyd spills the goods on the strip club and how he knows Sheri. He may have spilled about his high profile prisoner, but he didn’t give her his card.

Trick gets some bad news. Light fae nuns attacked dark fae customers at a charity clothing drive, and it looks like it’s not first attack on his map. Bo comes asking about the missing pieces of Zephrys’s body, and its odd matter of death. It’s has all the makings for a Hand of Glory, a thief’s wet dream. As long as the candle stays lit the user will be invisible. The more vicious the killer the stronger the hand. Lauren gives Dyson the same information, Lauren cautions that the Zephyr’s hand will be a strong candle. Dyson asks if she’s shared his Intel with anyone, like maybe Bo, but she has no clue what he’s alluding to. Dyson lets Lauren hang around, and she calls Bo. She doesn’t give Bo anything she doesn’t already know, and that isn’t the only reason she called. Lauren is curious if Bo got the answer to her solution, which make Bo a little prickly.

Bo serves up drinks behind the bar, and she’s able to get close to Sheri. Sheri is less than chatty, and her favorite boys come visit her at work. The coincidences are too much for Dyson, and he grills her. Bo doesn’t admit much, but she gets Dyson to hold off on arresting Sheri until they get the info on the need for the hand of glory. Dyson isn’t sure he can trust her, but Bo convinces him to let her stay undercover.

Bo does a little snooping around the boss’s office, and finds his hidden safe. Which isn’t what it seems to be, she takes a picture, and gets caught admiring the room of sea creatures. Bo slips away from the sleazy manager, and gets his cup to boot. Dyson and Hale checkout what Bo found, and the prints come back, Lewis, sleazy manager is a Water Spirit and dark fae. The boys give her just a little more time to get the information from Sheri.

Bo and Kenzi question Sheri’s momma, who was of course not being completely honest. They aren’t treefolk, they’re selkies, seal shifters. Dear old mom fell in love with a fisherman, and gave him her pelt. She hid away her daughter’s pelt, never revealing to her what she was. She found her pelt, and left home. Without a pelt a selkie can’t return to the sea, hence the grand scheme. Bo catches Sheri before she uses the hand, and Sheri spills the beans about Zephyr and the rest of the selkies, all of the girls are selkies who had their pelts stolen by Lewis. The girls prepare their heist, and Lewis catches them in the act. Before he can stop them, Dyson and Hale come to the rescue/arrest. Bo has no choice but to light the hand with Sheri and go after the pelts. The hand works better than advertised freezing everyone but the two girls, and they use the hand to open the safe.  They grab all the pelts, but the spirit of the hand tries to take its revenge on Sheri. Bo extinguishes the hand, and delivers the pelts to the rest of the girls.

Hale arrests Lewis, but Dyson doesn’t think its enough. Bo appeals to him, and Sheri tells him that the pelts are a special part of them, asks him if he knows what its like to lose something so precious. Of course he does. He plans to make a new crime scene with Bo.

Trick continues to get calls about fae activity, leading him to place a call of his own to Lauren.

Sheri and her mother reunite and make up thanks to Bo. Sheri leaves for the water, but promises to visit often.

Dyson gets in some naked time with Ciara, as she makes his home her own. He may be going through the motions, but there’s a void there.

Trick tells Lauren about the unprovoked fae attacks that are on the rise. She enjoys her little outings, but she’s still not suppose to talk to Bo after her slipping the Ash’s leash. Bo apologizes for her reaction, even though Lauren was also unfair. Bo gives her the box the Morrigan gave her, and Lauren is relieved that the secret is finally out. Nadia’s coma is Lauren’s fault. Nadia followed Lauren, and Lauren came across the fae. Nadia was the only human that caught the fae illness, and Lauren pledged her allegiance to the Ash for his resources. The girls open the box together, and its some rusty nail. Neither know what it means.

Lost Girl Recap S2E5: BrotherFae of the Wolves

The girls go to Dyson for the use of his sniffer to help out with their latest case, and Kenzi makes quite the revelation, Dyson is his own police dog. She kills me. Dyson concludes its blood on the item, but neither of the people they suspected. Dyson heads off, going all wolfy, but it has nothing to do with the girls. He’s got company, Bo turns the hose on the boys rough housing, and turns out he’s an old friend of Dyson, a former packmate.

Dyson catches up with Cayden, and he is hot. They have several hundred years of friendship between them. Flashback time, they boys were a part of a fierce warrior pack. Trick doesn’t know the whole story, but he does know that normally wolves serve their king until his death. The king is dead, and Cayden is now a mercenary, he’s missed Dyson. Dyson asks about his old packmates, and a girl, Kiera, who apparently killed herself. Dyson doesn’t believe she killed herself. Sounds like Dyson had a soft spot for the girl. She cared for the pack’s wounds, and was the wife of his best mate, Stephen.

Bo gets an SOS from Lauren. The Ash plans to lock all the humans away, and she bolted. Bo immediately goes into Ash-kicking mode, and Lauren cautions her. Bo tells her that her home is a safe haven, and Kenzi doesn’t sound optimistic.

Dyson gets down to the nitty gritty, knowing Cayden came for something. He’s after a weapon in the territory. He can’t help but thinks Bo may be able to. Dyson comes in for a favor, and Lauren feels all awkward. Cayden spills on the weapon that he’s after, and Kenzi learns about the Fae Black market. Finally Bo understands why the boys have come to her for help, the weapon is in dark fae territory.

Bo makes a little visit to a fae arms dealer. She’s less than knowledgable about Fae weaponry, and she charms the dealer. The unaligned succubus is quite the celebrity. Dyson worries about sending Bo in, but Cayden isn’t worried.

In the past Dyson worries over his friend going to see the King alone. He’s accepted his fate, but Dyson isn’t ready to give up yet. He goes to the Norn, he asks her to save Stephen, but the task is very difficult. She asks for his wolf in turn for the sacrifice, and he is unwilling to part with it.

The dealer asks how she knows about the Mongolian death worm, but she doesn’t spill. He drops a net on Bo, and subdues her with his toys, as the boys sit outside. Dyson worries over the rules, and Cayden springs into action. Cayden strong arms the dealer, and Bo gets free. The dealer offers them double whatever anyone else does if they find the deathworm. Cayden takes care of the dealer, and Bo remains very testy, refusing to allow Dyson to help her heal. Once home, she has no reservations with letting Cayden heal her. Healed, he’s not done playing, and although she shows restraint he has none, and gets down to business, hot, sexy business.

Bo has quite the bounce in her step. And while she was “healing” Lauren was baking cupcakes, and Kenzi and Dyson did some research. Lauren is clearly missing the lab, and wants to go back, but Bo refuses to let her go. Kenzi hacks her way, and the girls plan to be buyers, while the boys get to be their bodyguards. Cayden takes point in the shadows, while Hale and Dyson stay with Bo and Kenzi. The Mongolian death worm is not as impressive looking as her title insists. Velma is an elderly chainsmoker, obsessed with TV. They do a little demonstration, She obliterates on command when her TV is taken from her. The bidding starts and quickly takes off, and the dealer Bo had her run in with before, Cumberbatch,  circles the floor before losing interest. Kenzi gets a little bid crazy, but Bo still wins the auction.

Bo and Dyson come to claim their prize, but they don’t plan to pay for it. The Auction runner thinks he’s outsmarted them, but Cayden gets the upperhand. Cayden and the man are old friends, in fact they stole the worm together, and were suppose to sell it together until he reneged on the deal. Dyson and Bo watch as Cayden leave with the death worm, but its not over, or maybe it is.

Bo, Dyson, Hale and Kenzi  regroup, and Bo suspects that Cayden plans to cut a deal with Cumberbatch.

Cumberbatch pays for Velma with diamonds. Hale and Bo catch them before they can get away with Velma. Dyson and Cayden duke it out, for real this time. Cumberbatch tries to throw his way into the fight, but Velma nearly blasts him when her TV is taken. Bo gets Velma her TV back, but Cayden, wounded, gets away.

In the past Dyson arrived too late to save Stephen. He tells Dyson to take care of Ciara before he dies. Dyson returns to the pack with the bad news, but Ciara is gone. The King sent Stephen to his death so that he could claim Ciara as his bride. Dyson severs his alliagance with the king rather than to fight his brothers.

Dyson tracks down Cayden, he’s dying. He tells him that he had it right, to strike out as a lone wolf, but dyson tells him that it just took him a while to find his new pack. Cayden confesses that they almost got away, that he she would have loved him eventually. Bo checks the back of the van, and finds a prisoner, Ciara. She thanks Dyson for saving her, even though it was Bo who did the saving. Bo is curious about the girl from Dyson’s past, and I instantly hate all her gushing. Cayden of course gets away, and Ciara looks on the bright side.

Bo turns over Velma to the Ash. He tells her to invoice him, and she tries to get him to treat Velma with kindness and respect. Lachlan asks her what he would get out of it, and she tells him that it would make her friends very happy. Oh the game these two play. Lachlan can be a total pain, but he’s very easy on the eyes. He asks about Lauren, and Bo lies, telling him that she hasn’t spoken to her for day. The Ask lets it go, offering Velma a hand. I have a feeling he’s not such a bad guy, and I think Bo sees it too.

Dyson makes Ciara at home in his home, giving her the bed as he takes the floor. She kisses him, and Dyson tells her that he can’t. She thinks its because of Stephen, but it has to be about Bo too. She lets him, but he dives in with both eyes closed.

Kenzi is enjoying Lauren’s baking skills way too much. Bo gives up her room for Lauren. She wants to take care of Lauren, and Lauren lets her, but takes the couch anyways.
