Supernatural S10E15 Recap: The Things They Carried

Over the years the boys have tackled a lot of things, many things that they didn't know what they were before they had to hunt them. Cole hunted Dean, and he was introduced into a world that he wasn't prepared for. And worse of all, he was an unknown monster.

Fayetteville, NC a girl hands from her ankles. Duck tape bound and in fear. A man brings a bucket underneath her, and sits her throat, draining her life into the bucket.

In the bunker, Sam does some research when Dean sneaks up in him. Sam slams it shut, and Dean assumes that it was porn. Dean isn't judging him though. He has a case. An army soldier trained in martial arts wound up with her blood drained, organs stolen, and marrow sucked out of her bones. Sam thinks its cannibalism, but Dean is thinking it could be a God. Dean is ready to go investigate, but Sam is hesitant. Dean gives him 10 minutes to get ready.

Sam continues to be preoccupied with his research on the Mark of Cain. Dean knows what he's doing, and its not porn. They've looked at every site, multiple times. There is a point in every case where they reach a point and have to admit hard truths, and that point is now. They saw what happened to Cain. Dena doesn't like it, but its time to move on, to do what they can as long as he can, and he wants Sam by his side for it.

Sam and Dean arrive in town, and head straight for the sheriff's office. The Officer on duty identifies them as Feds immediately. The guy tells them that they wasted their time coming down. They already found the culprit responsible, but they didn't need to catch him. He drank a boatload of gasoline and lit himself on fire. It was the third suicide in a few short months. He offers them some cake, and Sam refuses it, though Dean clearly wants some, swiping some frosting with his finger as Sam asks if there are any bite marks on the body. The body was killed by bowie knife. Without bite marks it blows the god theory.

The muderer's wife is distraught. She doesn't claim her husband was innocent though. When he returned from war, he was different. Her Rick, when he's home and good, she had to kill the spiders. He was a kind soul, he never took more life then he had too. Sam asks if she experienced anything off, weird smell, or mood swings. She noticed he was really thirsty for water, completely insatiable. He couldn't even hear her as she tried to stop him from drinking tub water, he was so intent on drinking. He was so dried out, to the point his skin bled. She took him to the VA, but they just put him on a list. Then he stopped talking, she thought it was just PTSD. Dean asks about Rick's recent deployment, but she's unsure where he was. Sam leaves his card, but she has one other thing. She mentions Jemma, a wife of someone in Rick's squad. She thought her husband Kit also came back different, that they may be dealing with the same thing.

The boys head to Jemma's house. She tells them that Kit is working on getting back to normal, there's always an adjustment period, and he's working on it. Sam asks if they can speak with Kit. Jemma tells them that he went out, and he hasn't come home yet. He needs his space when he comes back. Jemma admits that its uncharacteristic even for Kit the way he's been acting. Sam ask if he's been thirsty, like really thirsty, and he has been.

The boys find Cole sitting on baby. Cole knows Kit, and Jemma called him. He's known Kit for a long time, and he wants to know why the boys are there. Sam admits that they're working a case. Sam isn't sure if its Kit's case yet. Dean is a little more blunt. There was a recent murder suicide and Kit is showing the same symptoms that the killer did. Sam tells him that they aren't going anywhere, and if he really cares about Kit, he'll let them work the case. Cole decides that he's coming with them, he thinks that he can be a very valuable source, he has resources that they don't. Cole isn't doing it for them, he's doing it so that they can bring him home. Dean knows that Kit is a war hero, but Sam points out that Cole needs to prepare himself. Kit may not be Kit anymore.

Kit stumbles into a Gas and Sip, and be starts cracking open a bottle of water, guzzling tit down. He throws down the bottle, and Kit moves onto a large cold bottle in the cooler. One of the store clerks goes to stop him, and Kit gets angry. He breaks a wine bottle, and slashes the kid's throat open. The other kid calls the cops while Kit goes on his knees to lap at the spilled blood on the floor.

Sam gets sustenance while Dean continues to look into what big bad could be inhabiting Kit. Cole isn't so sure that it is a monster. Cole gets a message from his friend in intelligence. Rick and Kit were sent to rescue a POW from Iraq. They have some footage from the camera on one of the helmets. They pair went into the undergrand prison, and the man they were to bring home attacked him. He tried to rip out Kit's throat. The mission did not have a happy ending. The official story was the POW was shot by guards. But his dried out cracked face looks very familiar. Sam gets an alert of the gas station crime, and the boys head out.

They find that Kit licked up the blood off the ground, and Dean is sure that is their kind of case. Jemma calls to Cole to tell him about the gas station. Cole already knows about it. She urges him to save Kit if it is him, she knows that if it is him, he's not in his right mind. She suggests that he head up to his father's cabin, he liked to go up there sometimes if he wanted to be alone. Dean plans to put out an APB to find Kit. Cole still thinks that there is an alternative to killing Kit, that he can still be saved. Cole doesn't like the sound of things.

The boys drop Cole off at Jemma's house. Dean thinks that its better that way. He can keep Jemma calm, and they can hunt. Dean reminds him that if Kit shows up that he shouldn't try to be a hero, but to call them. The boys drive off, but Cole isn't headed inside. He gets into his truck and heads out. The boys suspected he would, and parked in wait. Cole drove right pass them, and the boys follow discreetly.

Cole drives straight to the cabin to look for Kit. It looks empty inside, he tells Kit that there are serious people looking for him, that they won't just want to talk. The boys get out of the car. Inside, Cold finds a trail of blood and dead rats as he follows it and continues forward talking soothingly. It's either them or him. Kit is huddled in the corner. He tells him that he's sorry, that he can't stop, before spitting some sort of slug down his throat. The boys charge in as another slug is expelled, and they try to kill it. It dies under the big boot of the Moose, but Kit uses his monster strength to throw the boys back and get away. Sam gets thrown down, and Dean chases after Kit.

Cole continues to cough, trying to get whatever is inside him out. He can feel it moving inside of him. Sam is sure they can find a way to get it out. Dean points out that Cole acted stupidly and now he's infected with a con worm. It's either that or a freak cousin of it. Cole asks how they kill it. The worse case, is they shoot Cole in the head, then stomp the worm. The less lethal option is electrocution. Cole is down to get fried. Dean prepares to get to work, and Sam heads out to find Kit. Cole points out that if they can save him, they can save Kit. Sam heads out, and Dean points out that its going to hurt a whole lot. Cole has a lot left to live for.

Dean grabs out a pair of car batteries, to prepare to shock the worm out of Cole. He can't believe the messed up secret life that Dean and Sam live without so much as a thanks. He gets a medal for his heroics, and he almost killed Dean for his efforts. If he had killed Dean there would be no one to save him now. It's a messed up world but Dean acts like its just a typical Tuesday. Dean points out that its only Monday. They get ready to begin. Dean hits Cole with the jumper cables, and no luck. Cole tells him to do it again, and he does. This time Cole stops breathing. Dean beats at Cole's chest, and brings him back. Cole wants another go since the worm hasn't surfaced, but Dean refuses.

He calls Sam and tells him that the worm didn't come out. It's a different type than the last time, and didn'r respond the same way. Sam knows there has to be another weakness, as Sam surges forward. Dean and Cole regroup. The worm dries them out, and Dean wonders if they can dry it out enough, maybe it will leave. Dean considers rapid dehydration, and Cole is a fan. Dean prepares to make the cabin a sweat lodge in the woods.

Jemma finds flower petals, and flowers strewn down the hallway. Kit threw the flowers out in his quest for water. He's drinking straight from the vase. She tells him that whatever happened, whatever he did, ,that they will fix it and get him well. Kit stares at Jemma. He holds her down, and prepares to infect her as well. Sam gets there, just in the nick of time, knocking Kit out.

Dean and Sam update each other. Sam is surprised to hear of Dean's sweat lodge. Cole is busy throwing up. Sam tells him that Jemma is having a hard time coping, and that they're on a time limit. Dean opens up a bottle of water, drinking it in front of him.

Sam tries to explain things to Jemma. He tells her that on Kit's last incident, something got into him. A monster got into him, and it changed him. Jemma is left with more questions.

Cole continues to pour water over the wood, to produce more steam. Dean continues to hydrate. Cole wonders if his father felt like this too when he turned. Dean's not sure, he knows that his father was once human first. Cole understands why Dean killed him now, and asks if he gets that far, if he will do the same for him. Cole watches Dean drink from the water bottle. He asks him to tie him to the chair, and when Dean goes to get the ropes, Cole makes a play for the water bottle. Cole is sure that he won't make it through this, but Dean is certain he can and will. Cole admits that he wants nothing more than to slit his wrists and drink his blood.

Jemma asks more questions about Sam being a hunter. It's going to take her a minute to wrap her head around the knowledge that he's dropping on her. Jemma doesn't care. Kit is still her husband. Kit awakens. Sam asks her if Kit is acting like the man that she knew. He isn't. Sam tells her that Dean and Cole are working on a way to get the old Kit back, or at least free him from the parasite. Jemma notices that Kit isn't where they tied him up at. The lights go out, and Sam and Jemma go looking for Kit. He get the drop on Jemma, knocking her out, before going after Sam. The pair wrestle on the ground, Sam's gun just out of reach.

Dean calls Sam, but he's too busy to answer. Cole launches himself at Dean. Dean tells him not to make him pull the trigger, but he already has. Dean can see the worm making its way out of Cole's throat, and he's able to get out from underneath him before Cole expells it. Dean stomps the thing, then calls Sam with the good news. He tells Sam to hurry and get Kit there, but its too late. Sam was forced to shoot Kit. Jemma holds her dead husband in her arms, mourning him.

Cole prepares to leave. Sam is sorry that things didn't end better. He really wished that things didn't end this way, but he had no choice. He was going to kill Jemma, and there was no way around things. Cole knows, Jemma said the same thing. She's going to have to tell the story of her husband came home and tried to kill her. Cole thinks that he's seen it all now. Dean points out that he's seen a lot, but not all. He;s ready to get back to his family. Dean tells him to take care. Cole plans to, and hopes that he never sees them again, all things considering. The boys watch him drive off. Dean tells him not to blame himself for Kit. Sam can't help it, it still feels crappy. He really tried, he just couldn't save him. Even if you do everything right, sometimes, the guy still dies. I don't think that he's talking about Kit anymore, and its a little heartbreaking.

Supernatural S10E14 Recap: The Executioner's Song

The lights are about to go out on the prison floor. One inmate asks if there is any mail for him. The guard tells him just the normal proposals and all, but he said that he was done with those. Tommy asks the guard about his wife, Amanda, telling him that he killed an Amanda once, and he'd kill the guards wife too, but nice and slow. The guard isn't letting Tommy taunt him, he only has a few more days. The guard leaves, as does the watcher on the video, both off for coffee. A dark figure walks the halls, knocking out lights as he goes, stopping before Tommy's door. Tommy knows something is off.. The guard sees the figure on the camera for a moment, and then it disappears.

Cain is inside of Tommy's cells. He's gone by many names, the father who murders is one of them. Tommy has taken 6 lives by the state's account, but 9 by his. Tommy doesn't even try to deny it, instead he tries to strike Cain. Cain appreciates his spirit, but he's come to both punish and kill him. He drives his large knife through his stomach, and the two of them disappear.

Polunsky Unit, the boys head towards the prison, talking about serial killer stats. Dean points out that Sam's zeal in the matter is an illness. They roll up through the gates as Sam tells him the details of the case. Tommy disappeared off death row, which Dean suspects a demon. They head in to see the Warden, in Tommy's cell. Everything was done according to code. There was some sort of magician on the block the warden assumes. He takes them to watch the video feed. The lights flicker, and Dean recognizes the figure. His profile is unmistakable, and the mark throbs.

A phone rings, annoying the demon tied to the chair. Castiel wants answers, and he's willing to slash and torture the demon with his angel blade for answers. The demon gives him vague answers, and Castiel plunges his blade into the useless demon.

Crowley sits listening to a crossroads demon complaining about receiving less credit than he thinks that he deserves in front of his whole court. Crowley grants him what he's groveling for, and Crowley's mother pipes up. She wouldn't grant him. Rowena would go with a more drastic method, to discourage whiners, by cutting the demon in half and nailing his halves to the wall. Crowley's right hand man asks what it will be. Crowley takes his mother's advice, and the demon is drug out of the room to be halved and nailed.

Dean grabs grub. Castiel is still unreachable. Sam has found that in addition to Tommy being a convict, his father was one too, and he also disappeared. Cain may have a vendetta of some sort against the whole family. Castiel finally phones in. He's in Illinois. Sam tells him that they have a lead, that Cain abducted an inmate. Castiel has Tommy's shoe in his hand, he's already dead. Castiel tells him its an educated guess, as Castiel sits in a grove of graves. Dean asks where he is, but Castiel doesn't give them the location, telling them he'll call back. Castiel has company, its Cain.

Castiel wonders what he has done. Cain is just doing a little housecleaning. Castiel points out that he has resisted the mark for so long. After Abaddon's people attacked, and he had to take up arms, he got the hunger back. Cain looks over a fallen teddy. The mark thirsts for all kinds, and soon it will be genocide. Cain plans to wipe out his entire line. If the mark wants blood, he'll give it his. Castiel points out that being Adam and Eve's first born, that's a huge chunk of the world. About 1 in 10, but Cain has time. He asks after Dean. Dean's done good, he took Abaddon, but he's not faring well against the mark, he's struggling with it. Castiel is looking for a cure. There is no cure, but Cain tells him that he will get to Dean in due time. Castiel lowers down his blade ready to strike, but he's not on Cain's list. Cain disappears.

Rowena knows that her son may be tired, but she has something else that she wants. She asks him to assist her in killing the witch that lead the witch hunt against her. Crowley tells her she was laying it a little thick during her con. Rowena claims that she was doing no such thing, she was just being helpful. Crowley sees her transparency. She congratulates him for seeing through her, and that it doesn't matter that she had a motive, they had fun. She thinks that they could have more fun, get out of the dump and take out the witch. Crowley walks away.

Castiel delivers his bad news, not that it wasn't expected. Sam has more names from the sheriff. There's no way to confirm Cain's story, but it does appear that he's wiping out whole families. Tommy was unmarried, but Sam finds that Tommy did have a son, estranged. So far the kid is still alive. Sam doesn't think that Cain would kill an innocent kid, but Castiel knows that he will. Dean is ready to go after Cain and the kid. Dean is prepared to do what needs to be done, to end this by killing Cain.

Dean chooses his weaponry carefully. Sam is still up in arms. Dean has been prepared for this day. When he got the mark, Cain told him that he would kill Abaddon, then one day he'd have to kill Cain too. Sam doesn't understand why he's taking orders from a mad man. He isn't, but he kicked up the trouble, and caused the blood lust looking for the first blade, Cain had come to terms with the mark, lived in peace with it finally. Sam doesn't think that this means he needs to go after him. There is only one weapon that can kill him, the blade. Sam points out what wielding the blade could do to him, he may no be able to come back from that. He knows, but its a risk he has to take.

Rowena plans her take down mission as Crowley looks over her plan. Dean places a call to Crowley, and Crowley is a little too eager to answer it. Dean cuts to the chase, he needs the blade, and Crowley should help since Cain has a kill list which includes Crowley himself. Crowley has no saucy comeback, he's in. Rowena continues on her plans, but Crowley tells her that it isn't happening today. He retrieves the blade from its hiding spot. Rowena isn't happy to think that he's giving the blade to Dean, the one person who could use it against him. She scolds him about him destroying his credibility with this act. They have a much bigger common threat though in Cain, and Crowley ends the conversation. Rowena continues to taunt Crowley about his poor choice in friends.

Outside of the boy's house, he's still safe inside. Dean plans to watch and wait for Cain to show up. Sam cannot believe that they would put a minor in danger. Crowley shows up, and he doesn't like the risk it puts them in. Crowley thinks it would be better to keep the blade out of Dean's hands until they have Cain.

Sam watches the boy from the shadows, while he plays basketball. Sam wants to know what happens when they catch Cain, and kill him. That's a bridge they'll cross when they come to it. Dean said that he would go down swinging, that he had made peace with that, he just didn't realize that day would come so soon. Dean admits that he's scared.

The boy finally finishes playing basketball, as he walks back to his house, he hears someone. It's Cain. He tells the boy that he's there to kill him, but Castiel is there. He tells the boy to run, with Sam pointing the way. Cain finds his action to be useless, they can't stop him. Castiel goes all glowy angel, with no reaction from Cain. He flings aside Castiel's blade, and then Castiel himself. Cain stalks towards the boy. Sam closes them into the barn, and Cain beats on the door for a moment, before appear behind the boy. Big knife in hand, the boy asks Cain not to kill him in the worst bit of acting this show has seen in its 10 seasons. Cain plunges the blade into the boy, and he goes up in a puff of smoke, an illusion spell. The real Austin is long gone. 18th century magic that Cain recognizes. Crowley comes out of hiding. They've trapped in for the moment. Cain knows it won't hold him for long, but it won't need to. The plan worked, not its Dean's turn. Dean wants everyone to leave, its too big a liability. He'd be too worried about them inside with him and Cain, plus he needs them on the outside to handle whatever comes out of the room in the end. Crowley prepares to hand over the blade, asking what guarantee he will have that he will give it back. Dean admits that if he doesn't give it back, they'll have a much bigger problem. Crowley gives Dean the blade, and after a moment, he's fine and ready to go in.

Dean marches up the stairs of the barn, and prepares for his task. Without looking Cain knows that its Dean who has come for him. He knows what Dean is going to say, that there is still time to lay down his arms, to give up his cause. Dean is past those words. Cain is mental. Cain thinks he's finally hit clarity. He made his deal with Lucifer, killed Abel. He released a stain on the Earth. His whole bloodline is tainted. Not all his descendants are killers, but enough of them are for him to see the good is ridding the world of all of them. Dean asks of Austin. It could go either way with him,but Cain wishes to take no chances. He asks how the blade feels in Dean's hand. It feels like a means to an end. Dean steps into the circle, while Cain taunts him to kill him. Dean stalks closer, taking wild swings at Cain. Cain easily ducks him, knocking him on his back. Dean gets back up to try again. Cain throws him easily form the circle. Dean is hurt, but he's not willing to stop. He lands a few punches. Cain would expect more from him with the blade. Cain manhandles him. He's either much weaker than he thought he would be, or he's holding back. Cain sees that he's holding back, thinking if he does, that he'll be able to walk out with his humanity. There is no resisting the mark forever. Cain tosses Dean around like a ragdoll. It was all a part of his plan. When Dean's pet angel found his burial site he considered ending it all, but it made him think of Dean and his fatal flaws. His courage, his bravado would be his downfall. He let Castiel go, knowing that he would bring into battle the one thing that could kill him, the one thing that he really wanted. The first blade lies on the floor. Dean dives for it, but Cain is too strong and pulls it to him. The blade feels good, and he can't believe he ever had the power to resist it. He tells Dean that he's going kill him because he truly cares about him. He's saving him from his fate. Cain tells him that he's living his life in reverse. His life will end at the death of Sam. Dean knows that will never happen. Cain tells him that first Dean will kill Crowley, he'll feel bad, but he'll explain it away. Then Castiel will be killed. That death will be awful, but the worst will be Sam. Cain comes down on him. He tells him that the death of Sam will turn him into a savage. As Cain brings the blade down on Dean to kill him, Dean pulls the big blade from Cain's coat and slices off his hand. Dean practically begs Cain to tell him that he will stop that he can stop. Cain will never stop. He bows his head in waiting, and Dean is forced to kill Cain. Broken in spirit, Dean stumbles down the steps. Crowley, Castiel and Sam aren't sure what to expect. Crowley asks for the blade back. Dean hads it over to Crowley. Crowley feels betrayed, Dean lied to him. It wasn't the first time today, Dean admits. Crowley wasn't on Cain's list. Dean collapses in Sam's arms.

Crowley returns home to his mother. He doesn't want to hear her I told you so. He sees that she's packed her bags, she's leaving. Crowley thinks its another manipulation on her part. It isn't. He couldn't imagine her disappointment in him. Long ago when they were separated she heard of his death and she mourned. Then years later, miles away, she heard that he had risen to the King of Hell, not by accident, but by manipulation, all by himself. He's not a mother, he doesn't understand the pride she felt, or why her heart breaks now to see what a colossal numb nut he's become. He's got the crown, but he's not a ruler. He runs off every time the Winchesters call. He's no king not anymore. He stops her from grabbing her things, but not from walking away.

Sam thinks what Dean did was incredible. If he can do what he did without losing himself, then that's cause for hope. Dean isn't sure. Castiel has hid the blade in a safe place. Dean is in some desperate need of sleep, but he's far from okay. Castiel asks Sam how Dean is, and Sam knows that his brother is in real trouble.

Supernatural S10E13 Recap: Halt and Catch Fire

Spencer, Iowa. A young couple drive home. It's late, and Billie isn't sure he's okay to drive, nothing that a few tacos wouldn't fix. Billie gets directions from Trini, but she sends them to a dead end. The car gets really cold, but the air isn't on. Billie tries to get alternative directions, and Trini yells at Janet to get out of the truck. Janet reluctantly does, and Billie tries to follow suite, but the car goes Christine on him, locking him in, and driving off the closed bridge.

Dean devours a cronut, not caring what it really is. Cas has good/bad news. He's discovered River boat gambling, and may have found Cain's location. Dean figures that if Cain knew how to remove the mark he would have. Sam doesn't want to give up hope, Dean wants to spend their energy elsewhere, on a case. He shows them the case of the Iowa Christine.

Sam and Dean head to the college campus to question Janet on the events in the truck, while Dean scopes out all of the hot college girls. Janet was drunk, but not hallucinating. The truck wigged out, the air blasted but wasn't on, and his phone's AI Trini went crazy too. Sam jokes about Dean's behind on technology. Janet explains that Trini is the navigation app that they used. The truck went full Christine. Sam asks if Billie had any enemies. Only his brother Joey, but he died at war. He didn't have anything on him except the truck after Joey died.

Sam and Dean head to the junk yard to take a look at the trunk. The blood splatter is everywhere, and the ghost readings are off the charts on the car. Dean isn't surprised that the brother killed the other over the vehicle. Sam asks if Dean died and he drove Baby if he would come back and kill him. If he stunk up the car with taquitos he would. The boys salt and burn the truck, bye bye spirits.

A pair of roommates cannot believe that finals are right around the corner. One is planning to head off to the library, the other plans to stay in since she's screwing the TA there's no need to study. The one who stays in takes a selfie and posts it. Someone requests a chat, and shes more than happy to chat, until the person calls her a liar. She asks what about and the reply is 810. She logs out, but the 810 isn't done. She turns off the computer, but 810 covers the screen. She tries to get out and away, but the door shuts, and she's strangled by her computer cord.

Another murder, another day on campus, too many pretty girls, and Dean is sure he's not going to make it. The police officer tells them that Julie was found dead by her roommate, Delilah, after an all nighter at the library. There are no suspects, and the door was locked. Delilah has given them her passwords to look into her social media. Both deaths involved machinery, and its not following any patterns they're use to.

Sam and Dean question Delilah. Julie knew Billie, but not his brother. Julie was nice, and popular, and there isn't much to tell.

Dean finds more good food to eat than Sam can stand. Dean digs in, while Sam goes over what he's found on Julie's computer. He tells Dean that he hasn't found much, but he's looking into her deleted files, since nothing is really deleted from the internet. Sam finds the deleted Snapchat that she had deleted from the night before, with the 810 and Liar accusation. Sam finds some address leads, and Dean heads to get togo boxes.

The boys head to the first house on the list. PrincessElsa8, is not a crazed sorority girl, but an 8 year old, so not a likely suspect for killing Julie. She was fast asleep during the Snapchat, so likely a hack job. The boys watch a woman leave her house with a garbage bag. They follow her to the corner, where she picks up all of the flower bouquets, stuffing them into the bag. They ask why she's doing it, the flowers look fairly fresh. She feels like they're taunting her. Her husband died in a car accident there, nine months ago. They were newlyweds who didn't even make it to their first anniversary. Sam asks if she noticed something weird after his death. She seems confused by the question, so Sam drops it. Dean asks if she knows who is leaving the flowers. She isn't sure, a girl from the college she assumes by the greek letters she always wears. The only other description she has is the girl has red hair.

Dean calls to Delilah telling her to call him immediately. Sam finds the car accident, and information on the victim. Andrew Silver's body was burned beyond recognition, and it was thought he died on impact. Dean tries to connect the dots between the dead teacher Andrew, and the two dead and Delilah. There are no bones, since Andrew was cremated. They try to figure out what is tethering him to this world.

Delilah freaks out about the feds calling her, but Kyle seems completely uncaring about it. She thinks that they know, and that maybe its time to come clean. Kyle thinks that its a bad idea, and a coincidence. Delilah worries that its a curse, or karma. Kyle threatens her, that if she doesn't keep quiet she'll have more than a curse to worry about. Delilah leaves in a huff. Kyle gets a booty text. He's very interested. There's a knock at his door, but when he answers it, there's no one there. He gets a call, asking him what time is it? Its 810. The music goes way up, to the point of blowing out his windows and eyeballs.

Delilah is totally freaked after the latest death. Kyle died by decibels. Dean wants to know what happened at 810, since they already knew about the accident. Delilah knows that she will be the next victim. Delilah admits that the accident wasn't an accident. They were all on their phones when their car drifted into oncoming traffic. Andrew's car veered off to avoid theirs, and crashed into a pole. They stopped. Delilah wanted to call for help, but they all sat there watching. A electric wire from the pole Andrew crashed into fell onto his car catching it on fire. Billie speed off. Delilah tried to call for help, but Billie couldn't risk another DUI. Julie and Kyle agreed. Delilah knew that they should have called the cops, that she shouldn't have let them talk her out of the doing the right thing. Sam and Dean salt the room, and prepare a salt circle. They know its a ghost, they just have to figure out how he's traveling. Dean wonders if its via the power lines since Delilah said that's how he died. Sam plans to go back to the crime scene to investigate further while Dean stays to protect Delilah. He grabs his iron crowbar, and sits waiting. Delilah at least is use to staying up late, studying hard and thinking about the guy they killed.

Sam takes a look at the powerlines.

Delilah has been obsessed about someone she's never met. Dean can relate. He's made more mistakes then he can count, ones that haunt him all the time. He copes with whiskey, denial, and trying to make things right. She's got to find forgiveness, to really deal with it. Sam calls and tells Dean that Andrew isn't using the powerlines, but wifi. It makes sense, all the kills had an internet component. Dean has to get Delilah away from wifi and the lawnmower man. Sam has another idea, and heads off to look into it. The room gets cold, and Andrew makes his move. Andrew's burnt and bloodied form is on every screen in Delilah's room. Dean goes about smashing her equipment. He's not sure it's going to work, but he has to try, even smashing their phones. They need to get rid of everything connected to wifi.

Sam knocks on Silver's door. He knows that its an odd thing to bring up, but the wife already knows its about her husband.

Dean gets Delilah out of her room, with computers all over the house. They need to get somewhere without wifi. She leads them down to the basement, the reception sucks down there. Dean salts the windows and the doors. Andrew has no way of jumping via wifi, so he'll have to come directly, or so Dean believes.

The wife opens up to Sam. Her husband started contacting her shortly after his accident online. She thought it was a cruel joke at first, but he knew things that no one else would, inside jokes, the code to their alarm, her obsession with lifetime movies. She knew she had her husband back, even if it is just online. She knew he was a ghost, but she didn't care. He was great, romantic. They were able to stay up and reminisce, then he stated acting strange. He would go radio silent, then he'd start emailing again. He was focused on revenge. Then the kids at the college started dying and she suspected that Andrew has something to do with it. She wasn't sure what to do, its not a story she could go to the cops with, but mostly she didn't want to face the truth. If revenge brought him back, and she tried to stop him then he would go away again, and she didn't want to lose him.

Delilah paces the room, and Dean tries to keep her calm. There's a vibrating coming from the couch. Dean finds it, and its a phone. Andrew suddenly appears, and throws Dean before he can stop him. Andrew begins to strangle Delilah. Dean gets to his feet and takes a swing at Andrew with his crow bar. He tells Andrew that he understands him, that he can't keep going down the path he's on. It'll destroy him, turn him into a monster. Dean texts Sam with a 911. Andrew reappears and manhandles Dean. Andrew's wife Corey facetimes. She pleads with Andrew to stop, to listen to her. She asks him to give up his hollow revenge. It won't bring him back. She should have said it earlier. She tells him that its time for her to let go, for him to do the same. Her words get to Andrew. He releases Dean and she asks him to let go for her, for us, and he does.

The next day, Dean drives Delilah over to the Silver household. She should have done this long ago. Delilah walks up to the door, and Corey invites her in. Andrew wasn't the only one that chose peace. Dean has decided that he will chose peace as well. He just wants to help people. He's going to no longer look for a cure, there may not even be one. He's not giving up, the answer isn't out there, but its with him. He needs to take control, he needs to know where he stands, or he's going to lose his mind. He's going to fight until he can't fight anymore, and when its all done he's going to go out swinging.

Supernatural S10E12 Recap: About A Boy

Pendleton, Oregon. Two guys fight in a bar over one, and JP gets tossed with a threat of death if he comes back. A homeless man sees the exchange take place, and Jp stumbles out to his car. He manages to almost get his key in the door, when a man comes up from behind him, grabs his hex bag, and JP goes up in a bright light. Only his clothes remain behind.

Dean researches the Mark of Cain to look for answers. Crowley had told him that when Cain killed his brother he became a demon. When Cain met Dean he felt a kinship immediately, and he offered him the mark if he really desired it. Dean searches his books, but doesn't find the answers that he needs. Sam comes in with a case for them. Dean suggests that Sam look into the case while he holds down the fort. Sam points out that he hasn't left the bunker in weeks, and he needs to get out. Dean can't forgive himself. He's worried about the mark. Sam doesn't think that sitting, and just researching through the same books is doing him any good. Sam believes that he can beat this thing. Dean notes that Sam also believed in the Easter Bunny until he was 12. He was 111/2 he admits, and Dean reluctantly agrees to go.

Sam and Dean go to question the homeless man. He tells them everything that he saw right up until JP's abduction. There was no smell of sulfur, but flowers. The man thinks that it was aliens, and Dean definitely doesn't want to go there. It wasn't ghosts, or demons. Sam thinks it could have been angels, which isn't better to Dean. He suggests Dean head into the bar and talk to the locals, while Sam goes and checks out JP's place.

Dean steps up to the bar, and sits down for a drink. He asks the bartender if he knew JP. He was the one who tossed him out that night for stealing his tips. He has no clue what happened to JP, but figures, whatever it was he probably deserved it. Dean stares at his shot, before downing it. The mark bothers him. A girl overheard his talk with the bartender. She tells him that JP wasn't horrible, but she wouldn't have bought a used car from him. Dean and Tina make friends. They sit and have drinks and bond over some old motel living that they both experienced as kids. They toast to crappy childhoods. Dean gets a call from Sam, and Tina takes her leave, before Dean falls in love with her. Sam gives Dean the update, and it doesn't look good. JP was days away from an eviction. He blasted Neil Diamond constantly, and his bathroom looked like the Devil's butt. Dean thinks they should just throw the towel in, both finding nothing when Dean sees a man follow Tina out. He heads out after her, and hears her scream, before a blinding light takes her away. As Dean investigates her disappearance, the hex bag man comes up from behind him, and Dean is taken by the bright light as well.

Dean awakens in a cell. He's completely locked in his cage, and he's been turned into a teenager. Dean isn't pleased to see his youthful face, or his youthful clothes. In the cell next door is a young teen, and sees no exactly happy about being turned into a kid as well. She thought it was all a dream, but if Dean is there, then it has to be. She's freaking out, and wondering how he's so calm. He's had lots of practice. He asks who her friend is, but she's unsure, he doesn't talk much. Dean calls out to JP, and the boy confirms his suspicions. The hex bag man comes back and drags out a screaming JP
.

Sam makes it to the bar, to find Dean not there.

Dean gets a delivery, cake.

Sam calls his brother, and the jacket on the bar rings. When he asks the bartender about the jacket, the bartender comes back with a smart ass remark. Sam slams his face into the bar, and he gets the truth. He found the jacket next to the dumpster.

Dean digs into the cake. Tina doesn't trust the cake, suspecting poison. That makes Dean put down the cake, fast. She wonders what they're doing to JP. Dean isn't sure what, but its probably not good. Dean looks for a way out. He breaks a piece off his bed, and looks for a way to get out. Tina admits that before she thought he was just a drunk. He claims he was a professional alcoholic. She's serious when she asks what he is. He admits that that is a long story.

Sam looks for clues as to what happened to Dean. He finds a shoe under the dumpster and a gun. He wipes at the handle and gets the scent of flowers.

Dean gets one of the bars free. The man returns. Tina tells Dean to get out, that she will distract him while he goes for help. Dean is reluctant to go, but Tina starts screaming, and he has no choice but to go with her plan. Dean gets out while the guy check to see what Tina is screaming about.

Sam researches the flowery scent, thinking that it comes from the yarrow flower. There's a knock at the door, and Sam is shocked to see Dean's youthfulness. Dean strides into the room, grabs his bag and Sam just watches him in a daze. Dean arms up, but he doesn't know the hows or why, only that a girl is going to die if he doesn't hurry. Sam wanted Dean back in the game and now he's back. Outside, an elderly woman drops her room key, and Dean rushes over to retrieve it. She remarks to Sam about the politeness of his son. Poor Sam is still in a stupor over the whole turn of events. He follows Dean to the car, but when he moves the seat forward to drive, Moose thinks he should drive. Dean lets him, and they head off. Sam wonders why they gave him cake, and Dean isn't sure. It wasn't even good cake. They would have been better off serving him pie. Sam is still confused over Dean's youth. He wonders what it feels like. It feels really weird. He's still the old him, but also fourteen. He admits that there was a Taylor Swift song playing on the bus that he was on, and that he liked it. He liked it a lot. His voice is weird, he has zits and no voice modulation. It's puberty at its worse. Sam tells him that he checked out the place where he was jumped, and all signs point to witch. Lucky for them, they still have witch killing stuff in the trunk. Dean plans to head in, save Tina, reverse the spell then torch the Sabrina. Den isn't sure he wants all of that. The upside to being s teen, is the Mark is gone. When they reverse the spell, the mark will be back. Dean wonders if it might not be better, at least for awhile to remain a teen. For not its problem solved. He's still Dean, he can still hunt. He has a point kind of. Dean thinks finds another upside, a virgin liver. He wants to take it for a test drive, Sam agrees in like seven years. Boo, the downside to remaining a teen.

Sam and Dean make it back to the house, and decide that they should go get Tina first. Hex bag guy is headed back towards Tina's cell as well. Dean tries his window, and finds that its still open. He wants to go back through the window, but Sam is way too big to fit. Dean climbs in through the window, and Sam looks for an alternative way in. The basement is quiet, the cake smashed. There's no sign of Tina or anyone else. In the corner, Dean finds a skull. There's someone behind him, but when he investigates, he finds no one. The hex bag man grabs him, and Sam knocks him down. He tells them that Tina is upstairs. He's not a witch he claims, but only works for one, and she's the worst person in the world. He's been there for centuries, and he's seen her do some awful things. She's subjected him and his sister to some pretty awful things, and when he tried to rebel, he was tortured and he had to eat poor Gretel's heart. He claims to be from the Hansel and Gretel story. Dean is excited to BBQ a celebrity. Hansel doesn't think that there is a way for them to succeed, they're just men. They're more then just men, they're hunters. If they're gonna kill that witch, then Hansel wants to help. He tells them to reverse the youth spell, they just need to squeeze the hex bag around his neck. Dean hesitates. Hansel wants to hurry. He tells them when they waste the witch he will give them the cure.

The witch prepares her soup with Tina watching. She tells her that JP didn't have much meat on his bones. The woman tells her that the girl is too good for soup, she envisions Tina as a roasted pig with an apple in her mouth. She stokes the fire, and is surprised to see Hansel. She's happy to see their lost lamb. She thought that they would have to go looking for him, or find a replacement. She tells Hansel to take care of Dean and Sam. Hansel doesn't make a move. Dean points out that he's not a fan of hers since she made him chow down on his sister. She didn't make Hansel do anything. Hansel nearly knocks out Sam, and Dean has no choice but to throw down his witch bottle and surrender. The witch looks over the scrawny Dean, she's gonna have to fatten him up. Sam wonder why they have to change adults into kids to eat them, why not just grab kids. The witch admits that its too hard to grab kids, instead she grabs adults no one will miss and turns them into kids. Dean continue to stall, while Sam works to get something out of his pocket. She's only in town on the grand coven's orders to take care of Rowena, but she's been enjoying the delicious marbling of American flesh. The mention of Rowena stops Dean and Sam. They know Rowena. Sam uses the distraction to free the knife from his pocket, and go after Hansel slashing at him. Dean jumps at him, and Sam turns to the witch. She uses her power to fling him aside, while Hansel beats Dean pretty good. The witch orders Hansel to turn him, but he's missing his hex bag, Dean has it. Dean turns himself back, and he's as intense and handsome as ever. He stabs Hansel, and stuffs the hex bag into the witch;s mouth before shoving her into her own oven.

Outside. Tina is still a teen, and she's marveling into the craziness of the night, realizing that they do that sort of thing all the time. She asks if they can turn her back, and Dean admits that the hex bag went up in flames. Sam is sure that they can find a way to change her back, but Tina isn't so sure they should. She had 3 ex husbands and over $50,000 in debt. She was a crappy adult. She has a second chance to get out of town, and make something better of her life. Dean worries if she will be alright, and Tina is sure that she will be. Sam asks if they can atleast give her a ride somewhere. Dean drives them to the bus stop, and Sam gives her all the cash that they have. Tina gives Dean a kiss, telling him that they'll always have the Grand Royale hotel, and is off on her new life. The boys start their BM moment. Dean tries to make light of the Grand Coven. Sam asks if the mark is back. It is. He didn't have a choice. Sam knows that it couldn't have been any other way. Dean pulled a move only Dean could, saving him and Tina both. Sure he wants the mark gone, but he wanted his brother back more, and they'll figure it all out. Dean gets into Baby, glad to be back, turns on some Taylor Swift to Sam's horror, and jams to “Shake it Off.”

Supernatural S10E11 Recap: There's No Place Like Home

A man tries to flee some flying objects. He makes it down the stairs and outside, but he gets tripped up by the hose on the front yard. He begs the unseen person, that he doesn't know anything else. Charlie comes out of the shadows, she knows he knows nothing else, but who doesn't love torture.

Sam takes a call, and Dean does some clean eating. He's on a health kick to beat the mark of Cain, but one bite into his egg white omelet, and he's missing his booze, burgers and more booze. Once he gets rid of his demonic tramp stamp he's back on his normal diet. There's been no luck in the research department, and Dean is forced to suffer down some green juice in his clean efforts. During the research, Sam comes across some pretty bad footage of Charlie beating up DA Peter Harper, and it looks like he's not the only victim. Dean wants to go check it out. He struggles with his blade before he gets a hold of himself, and they're off.

The boys talk with Peter. Charlie wanted information about her parents case. Peter presided over it, but there was plenty of evidence missing, and he really doesn't remember much about the case. Sam points out that the stenographer was the other victim, and the aggressor wouldn't let up until she revealed Peter's name. Dean wants to know what name he revealed, and at first Peter claims that he didn't give up anyone. Dean presses him and he finally reveals who paid him into stop trying to get the sealed files. The boys look over Charlie's file as they drive towards the next possible victim's home. Charlie is just trying to find the people who killed her parents.

They head over to the house, but the woman is less than forthcoming, so its stakeout time. Dean laments over his kale sandwich, while Sam looks over Charlie's file. The shrinks thought she was pretty messed up. Dean points out that had the shrinks got a hold of them at that age, they would have said much worse. There's screaming from inside, and the boys rush in. Oz has changed for the worse in Oz. She said everything she wanted happened there, she had an adventure. She looks at Sam with dismay, all good guy code, and no bite, whereas Dean is being held back by him. Charlie makes a run for it, and Dean gives chase, while Sam looks over the damage Charlie inflicted. They wrestle a bit, and Charlie gets the upper hand since Dean doesn't want to hurt her. She runs from the house, and gets away. Dean can't follow since she slashed his tires. Dean watches her leave, and then around the corner in a happy little car is Good Charlie. Sam finds out that Bad Charlie was after bank statements and he runs out after his brother, shocked to see Good Charlie. Seems like they have some catching up to do.

At a nearby bar, Charlie explains that there is two of her. The boys were there when she went off to Oz. They were losing the war for the Emerald City, and the only way to turn the tides was to unleash her inner darkness, which the Wizard did with the key. Dark Charlie won the war singlehandedly, but she had to do a lot of bad things to do that. She's been on the quest to find out who murdered their parents as a way to please good Charlie. Good Charlie wants to find Dark Charlie and lock her up for good, since it looks like they can't get back to Oz to be reunited. Sam doesn't think that's the answer. Good Charlie is all too good, she can't do anything bad, not even hack into some records which would be really helpful. Sam asks her to walk him through it so that he can be the bad one, but that it gets done. Dean heads to the bar for some drinks, and he struggles with his good side too. Sam finds the information he needs in regards to the bank records, and the man, Russell Wellington, at last who was behind the death of Charlie's parents. Dean puts an end to the discussion as Charlie starts to break down, but she doesn't want secrets. Sam points out that she can't lock away the dark, that its still a part of her. Charlie wants to go to the bunker to look for a way to repair the Oz key, and Sam will accompany her. Dean plans to find the killer, and protect him and Dark Charlie both.

In the car on another stakeout, Dean listens to self help tapes while munching on some nuts. Russell pulls up in a sweet car, and Dean follows him in the building and signs in. He takes a seat with what looks to be applicants, but not before the receptionist undresses him with her eyes.

At the bunker Sam and Charlie research the key. They take a look through the files and history of the key among the Men of Letters and Clyde.

Dean is the last person in the office and he's brought back into Russell's office.”Mr. Presley” takes a seat and describes to Russell his dream home.

Charlie finds out what happened to Clyde after he retired from the Men of Letters. From the looks of things he's actually still alive, though he may be 100. Time passes differently in Oz, so its completely possible.

Dean explains his love of bubbles and jacuzzis and Russell interrupts him. Based on his clothing, he assumes all Dean would be looking for is a home on wheels. Russell is busy and thinks that Dean is just wasting his time. Dean is willing to buy if Russell is willing to sell, but Russell doesn't want to play. He moves to make a call, but Dean stops him. He's trying to save Russell's life. Dean asks him if he remembers killing Charlie's parents in the car accident, but he claims not to. Dean knows he was too drunk to remember the accident, but not to remember the cover-up. The lights go out, and emergency lights come on. Dean tells him to stay in the room as he heads out to face bad Charlie. She's wielding a knife, but Dean wants to talk. Charlie isn't looking to talk about her feelings. She claims that she doesn't want to hurt Russell, only talk. Dean doesn't believe her. She claims that she only wants him to see her face, to see what he did to them. She offers Dean her knife, with a promise that they can hand him over to the cops after. Charlie walks through the door. Russell recognizes Celeste immediately. He apologizes to Charlie, admitting that he was young and stupid and he can never give her back what he took. He wasn't drunk that night, he was sober, but he was selfish and wrong and he should pay for it. He took everything from Charlie. He begs her forgiveness as Dean toys with her knife. Charlie says she forgives him, but she turns around and locks the door, killing Russell before Dean can break through the door. Bad Charlie breaks the window and gets away.

Sam and Good Charlie are still headed towards Clyde as Dean calls in an update. He tells them that she got to Russell and killed him. Sam tells him that he hopes that they found a way back to Oz, and they plan to meet up at his location.

Dean sits at a bar contemplating a shot. Poor guy has had a rough night, and the pretty bartender notices Dean nursing his drink. He's pacing himself. Bad Charlie pulls up a chair next to Dean. He's not happy to see her after her lying and murdering Russell. She tells him that he lied to himself, and that is his own fault. She knows that something is off about him. Charlie points out that Russell got what he deserved. The great thing about being dark is that it sets you free, and that's the truth.

Sam and Good Charlie make it to Clyde's house, but he claims to not be Clyde, nor know anything about the Men of Letters or Oz. Charlie asks him in if he recognizes the key.

Dark Charlie checks out the bartender's butt, as she gets all philosophical. But Dean warns her that she won't be around for long. She doesn't seem phased by the information, mocking him not thinking that her princess other half could have found a way back to Oz. But Dean reveals that she has found one of the Men of Letters who just may be able to put her back where she belongs. She isn't sure she belongs back in Good Charlie. But in the meantime, if he isn't going to ask the hot bartender to dance, she will. Dean goes back to his shot, but he doesn't take it as the bartender comes back. He wonders if Charlie struck out, but she didn't she left, and in his baby. Dean warns Sam that Dick Charlie hotwired baby. Dean at least told him the wrong town as he looks to take another ride.

Clyde gives them the bad news. The six keys of Oz can only be forged in Oz. There's no way to repair the key in this realm. Sam asks what happened to Clyde there, and he hesitates before he admits that what happened to her happened to him as well. His ID became the Wizard of Oz. Dark Clyde is by the current Ruler, Dorothy's side. Without the key there is no way to get back to Oz, but there may be a way to summon him. Clyde grabs a gun. If he is mortally wounded, The wizard will have to come back to save them both. The wrongs that the wizard has caused are his fault.

Dean arrives as a gunshot rings out. Bad Charlie is right behind him. She figured that he would lie about where he was going, she would have done the same. She claims to just want to talk to her good self, but Dean doesn't believe her and threatens to put her down if she tries to go in. That's the side of Dean that she's missed.

Clyde lies on the ground dying of his self inflicted would. The house shakes, and a portal opens. A masked man, the Wizard comes through. He removes the mask, exposing a youthful face as he looks down on himself. He asks his older dying self, what he's done. His young self is bleeding from the same spot. Sam draws his gun, but the Wizard easily disarms him. His old self had one task, to stay alive. Charlie bleeds from her mouth.

Bad Charlie taunts Dean, telling him he hits like a girl that never learned how to hit. Charlie gets some good hits in on Dean, and even a knee or two. Dean is still holding back a little, but not for much longer.

Sam watches as Good Charlie takes more injuries that her bad half is getting from Dean. Sam asks to help her, but the Wizard doesn't look swayed, as he tightens the magical bonds that hold him. Clyde reaches for the gun, but Charlie shakes her head no at him.

Bad Charlie's action have hurt Good Charlie, but Bad Charlie learned from Dean she says. Dean grabs her and breaks her arm.

Good Charlie reaches for the gun, as Sam is being magically choked. Good Charlie recovers the gun and prepares to shoot Clyde. He forgives her as she pulls the trigger, killing Clyde and the Wizard.

Outside, Dean is beating the heck out of Bad Charlie. Sam stops him, carrying Charlie in his arms. He lies her down next to her other half. Bad Charlie realizes that Good Charlie killed the Wizard, that she had the magic in her the whole time. Sam gives her the key, and the two halves are reunited, making Charlie whole in body, but she's broken inside. She cries in Sam's arms, as Dean looks at what he did.

Back in the bunker. Sam talks with Cas. Dean is calmed down, but they need to figure something out, they need to find Cain. Charlie comes in with all of her stuff, and there's an awkward look shared between her and Dean. Sam thinks she should be resting, but two days is enough. Both she and Dean look a little rough. Charlie isn't good or bad anymore, but balanced. Sam has found what he hopes is a lead, its a book in Tuscany. Charlie isn't looking for a new adventure, she's got enough right there. There's no going back to Oz, and Dorothy will be fine. Dark Charlie is still in there, but she's quiet. Charlie approaches Dean, and he's still feeling down for what he did. She isn't going to let what happened to her happen to him. Cain learned to live with the mark after years of murder. Charlie tells him that he has something that Cain didn't. He's a Winchester, and she forgives him, but he doesn't forgive himself. It's his normal move she points out. He tells her that he's sorry, and she tells him to prove it. Charlie is off, with a promise to call if she finds something. Sam and Dean have their BM moment. Dean admits that he's not good, but Sam is with Charlie. He can do this, they can do this, and Dean is ready to get to work.

Supernatural S10E08 Recap: Hibbing 911

Hibbing, Minnesota a graffiti artist gets to work on his latest masterpiece when he hears a noise in the alley way. Rather than heed the warning noise he goes on, and the mystery figure makes him apart of his artwork.

Sheriff Jody Mills arrives at the Sheriff's retreat. She looks less than enthusiastic as her bag's handle breaks, and a panhandler approaches her. She gives the young girl some money for lunch, worried about the girl she left at home. Donna chipperly welcomes Jody, and she witnesses an awkward exchange between Donna and her dick ex.

Dean is getting no where in his research about the first mark. He's a little upset that he can find out about transgender werewolves, but nothing about his mark.

The sheriff's retreat is kicked off with a stumbling speech from Len, Hibbing's sheriff. No one looks particularly happy to be there, especially when a new aspect is introduced: partners. Jody finds herself paired up with Donna. Donna is told about a body that was found eaten, and Jody perks up for the first time. The normal wildlife is suspected. There are no tracks, hairs or claw marks. Jody makes an excuse to get away.

She places a call to Sam. Sam tells her that Dean says hi, which is news to her, since she didn't know that he was found. They get the update on Sam, she's not the peppy cheerleader, but she's doing ok. Jody tells them about an eaten body, but they haven't heard of anything in the pipeworks. Dean offers to come down, but Jody thinks that she can handle it. Dean wants to head down anyways, and Sam can't think of a reason not to.

Jody heads over to the morgue to talk to the ME. She wants to look at the body, but she'll get nowhere as she's not part of the precinct. Donna comes down and charms the ME. Donna gets easy access so Jody does as well. The midsection is picked pretty clean. Donna gloves up as she asks for personal effects. Jody can't believe the size of the pants that the guy was wearing without a belt. Either he had no belt, or the animal took it. Dona is an experienced hunter, and she can't identify the bite marks, which Jody was afraid of.

A man sneaks out of his house and retrieves some hidden cigarettes. There's a warning noise, but he pays it little notice as he tries to get a smoke. Unfortunately, he's out. Worst, something was in the dumpster he threw the pack away in. See smoking is bad.

At the bar, Len sits alone nursing a seltzer. Donna and Jody corner him to pick his brain. Donna wants to know what kind of animal was responsible. He's not sure, he's letting animal control take care of it. A younger officer, Deputy Brice comes and takes him away with an issue. Donna spots her ex, Doug, dancing with a couple of younger girls. Jody points out that Doug is kind of a dick, but he was her dick and it hurts. Donna excuses herself, and Jody goes to pick at Len some more. He tells her that there was another attack, but to try to enjoy the retreat. They don't want everyone's nosing around the case.

Donna comes out of the restroom to find herself abandoned. She finds Jody calling home to Alex. Her life isn't all cupcakes either. She's being a normal teen with mom away, to Jody's dismay. Donna knows that Jody is trying to do the case without her, and Jody gives her an update, but there is nothing more they can do for now with the morgue being closed. There's nothing more for them to talk about besides Jody's home life though. Donna lends a sympathetic ear, but Jody isn't up for pillow fighting and hair braiding.

The boys roll into town. Jody is happy to see them, even though she said that she could handle it. They've already seen the second victim with flesh eaten off of him as well. They tell her that the second victim was missing a wallet, and so they have a monster that's eating and robbing their victims. They spot Donna, and remember her too. They ask Jody to distract her so that they can get to hunting. Jody isn't happy, but she does her best. Donna thought they were headed off to the morgue, but Jody says she's letting animal control handle it. The boys head off to find Len and get more information on the pair of bodies. Dean doesn't mesh well with Brice who jokes that its just a bobcat. Len leaves the boys in the hands of the officers while he goes and checks with animal control. The boys smell a lie. Sam heads back to the morgue, and Dean to pump the deputy for information. Sam asks him to take a less defensive manner with him, but the fake badge still means something to Dean.

The girls are looking over some guns. The guy tries to talk down to them, as if the female officers were less about their jobs, and more about just being pretty. Jody and Donna both school him on what he considers to be the big one, which is hardly that. Donna's dick ex Doug comes by joking how she's a wolf in sheep's clothing. This guy just can't stay away from her. The gun seller leaves, and Donna tells him to save the compliments for another officer. Doug pokes at Donna some more, and rather than telling him where to stick it, she makes a joke at her own expense. Jody has had it, and calls Doug out on his fat shaming, pointing out that Donna is not fat. She calls Doug a douche to his face, and the winds have officially come out of his sails. Donna is a little upset how Jody handled Doug. She tells her that until she's lost a husband to keep her mouth zipped about hers. Jody's lost a husband and more, and he wasn't the total douche bag that Doug is. The haunted look on Jody's face brings Donna's apology, and Jody most certainly does not want to talk about it.

Dean heads in to talk to Brice again. He tries another approach. He tells the younger officer that he's on a very big case, and he's looking for a little help from someone who isn't afraid to talk shop with some DC boys. That gets Brice speaking. He tells him that there is some footage of the first death, but the sheriff changed the password. He's sure he has a good reason to go so though.

Donna heads out to get some air. She spots some blood on the pavement, and follows it. Down the stairs she spots Len standing over a dead officer. He's got a mouthful of sharp teeth, and Donna hides before he can spot her. Looks like she's about to be pulled into the demon fighting world after all. Len runs off.

The officer body is carted out. Dean doesn't believe for a moment that it was an animal attack. Jody asks how Dean is. He's fine, nothing he can't handle. Sam comes back to report that the files they needed were deleted, with only Len having access. Donna comes and steals Jody away. She's freaked. Jody apologizes for her handling of Doug, but that's the last thing on her mind now. Donna asks if Jody has ever seen something she can't explain. She tells Jody about Len's shark teeth, and Jody tells her that she believes her, and that Dean and Sam will too. Jody leaves Sam a message about her suspicions, but she's definitely not letting the locals handle it.

Jody and Donna head over to Len's room and do a little breaking and entering. They search the room and finds a boatload of sunblock, which Jody will explain later. They continue to search, with Donna finding something on his notepad. The door knob begins to turn, and Jody pulls out a very large machete, Donna draws her gun, but its just the boys. They got Jody's message. She tells them that they're definitely after a vampire, that Donna saw his teeth. Maybe she should have explained vampires to Donna first. She's definitely freaked. Dean asks if she wants to give her the talk since she did blurt it and all. After the talk, Donna asks why there were at the spa. Dean confirms that it was a monster sucking out her fat. She knew that losing that much weight so fast was too good to be true. Donna gives them the address. Dean wants Donna to sit out on the vampire hunt, but there's no way he's sitting out.

The boys drive the sheriffs out, and they machete up. Dean even hands Donna her own machete, giving her the advice that if she swings, she needs to swing hard. The vampire head needs to roll. Sam finds Len sitting down, in what looks to be prayer. He looks back at Dean for a moment, and Len is suddenly in front of him, telling him to run. He can't move into action fast enough, the vampires get the drop on them, knocking Dean out, capturing the ladies, and throwing him to the ground. The leader of the group looks to be the young girl that Jody gave money to at the beginning of the episode.

The girl pets the handsome Dean like a shiny new toy she's about to devour. Dean isn't interested in her circle of life speech. She removes his belt, and he's not interested in that from her either. Jody can't believe she gave the girl lunch money. Len asks Star to let them go, but she's not about to do that. He did what she wanted, and got rid of the camera footage. She didn't want that, just him. He's embraced the twilight way of life, and lives off bagged blood. Donna asks about the little display that she witnessed earlier. He found the body, smelled it and fanged out a little, but he didn't bite. Star mocks Len going against his nature. Dean spots Sam's tiny knife, and he wants him to make a move, but Sam thinks it too risky. Sam asks what did Len do break up Burning Man, but Star clarifies, it was Woodstock when Len found her. Dean works on freeing himself as Star talks about the man who transformed her and the rest of the vampires. He was ruthless, he was a killer, and then one day he didn't just change his ways, he became a cop. Star asks if he's feeling dirty, cause they're about to have a blood bath. He goads her on, asking if she ever wondered why he stopped. He got a conscious. Even if they used every part like he taught them, it was still wrong to take lives as they did. He tried to protect people after so many years of gutting them. That's why he's there, to join the bloody caravan so they won't kill everyone. They're not killing anyone, he is. Len tells her to kiss his ass. They love him, but they don't know who he is anymore. Star beheads Len with a machete as Dean gets loose. Machete in hand he goes after the men. Star gets tripped up by Jody, still struggling in her ropes. She flashes her fangs at Jody, as Dean beheads the last guy. Donna chops off Star's head saving Jody. It's the BM moment. For the first time since he's been back, Dean hasn't felt pushed by the mark. Donna's eyes are opened up to a whole new darker world, and Jody is willing to be her Obi Wan and guide her. Sam is willing to go with that for now.

Supernatural S10E05 Recap: Fan Fiction

Many shows are lucky to make it to the 100th episode, Supernatural tonight can boast that they've reached episode 200, In true Supernatural fashion they're giving props and making this one for the fans.

First we go all the way back with a nod to the pilot, before hitting the now in the form of a high school Winchester play. The director is hard on her classmate actors on getting the continuity correct. The teacher advisor, Mrs. Chandler, is done with the crapfest, and heading to the principal to get it pulled. The girls go on as Mrs. Chandler places a call, unbelieving in anything supernatural from happening. She should have believed. A group of branches comes alive, and sucks her in.

Every Supernatural opening sign is shown from seasons past, and there have been a lot, before the current one is flashed.

Dean works on his baby, she's as shiny and beautiful as ever. The motel parking lot is empty. Sam comes out of room 200, checking on Dean. Dean has found a case, and he's feeling pretty normal. He's found a Mrs. Chandler that was snatched from an all-girls school. Sam doesn't see anything out of the ordinary, but Dean thinks its has possibilities, so on the road they go.

The boys head to the auditorium, and Dean is less than enthusiastic to hear that they'll be questioning theater kids. Neither of the boys see the Supernatural banner, and they're in for a surprise when they see the people and events of their lives in full theatrical style. Dean is beyond horrified. The director, Marie spots the boys and think that they're from the book company, but they aren't. They flash their badges, and her babbling comes to an end. Dean points out that there is no singing in Supernatural. This is merely an interpretation. Dean claims that if there was singing, it would be Rock, not Andrew Lloyd Weber crap. Sam gets to the point of the missing teacher. The students assume that she was headed to the liquor store, she had a nasty divorce, and a bit of a drinking problem. Sam asks Maeve to give him a tour, and for Marie to show Dean to the Teacher's office. Sam thinks that the production value is pretty good, but Dean is still not on board. The boys split up.

Dean looks at the props. Some parts are made, some repurposed, but Marie wants Dean's hands off all of them. Marie talks with Dean about the Boy Melodramic moment, aka the end of each episode where they're all bonded, united. Dean doesn't like the fact that they're standing so close together, or the subtext implications.

Sam asks Maeve about strange occurrences. She plays a few screaming sound effects, and Sam starts talking his drama days. Maeve gets called away, and she asks him not to touch anything, but he can't help himself, messing with the lighting.

In Mrs. Chandler's office, Dean finds plenty of bottles, and an odd robot head. It's part of the play. Dean points out that there is no space in Supernatural, not canonically, but they've found a way to incorporate it. They can do whatever they would like. The play was inspired by Chuck's books, but since he stopped writing after Swan Song, she had to make a better ending then Sam and Dean being separated. She added robots, ninja, and Dean's Sex Change. That's got his attention, but not in a good way. He tells her that he can tell her what really happened after, he's got some inside knowledge of some unpublished books. He tells her what happened from Season 9 to now, but Marie thinks its the worst fan fiction that she's ever heard. Her's may be no masterpiece, but its better. “Castiel” and “Dean” are getting a little cozy, they're a real life couple, and though that part isn't in the play, they do explore their relationship a bit. All the nods to fans, are just fantastic. Dean has no idea about the subtext, and Marie tells him that you can't spell subtext without s-e-x.

Dean finds so many things in the play preposterous, and cannot believe Sam doesn't have more issues with all the things that he saw. Sam tells him that although it's about them, everything surrounding the musical is very unsupernatural. Dean still thinks its a pretty big coincidence. Unless Dean is seeing something Sam isn't, there is no case. Sam questions Destiel, and Dean shuts down that line of thinking.

Maggie is finished. She walks. She's tired of Marie's dictatorship, of everything. She believes that if its not cannon it shouldn't be in the show. She plans to go to the principal and do what Mrs. Chandler was too drunk to do. She heads off with her bike, but she doesn't get far. The vine creature grabs her. Marie sees the girl being hauled off, and goes after her, but she's gone. Only her bike and a flower remain.

Sam and Dean are back at the theater. There is nothing on the surveillance cameras, but Sam shows Dean the flower. There was one when Mrs. Chandler disappeared as well. There was a flower found near her cell phone. They go to talk to Marie, and she thinks they're going to accuse her too. She tells them how Maggie quit the show, and she was going to have them shut down. She saw a scarecrow like the one from their show, and it grabbed her. Marie called the cops, but they didn't believe her, thinking that she had an overactive imagination. Everyone thinks that maybe they should leave, and Sam agrees. He tells her that he's Sam, and Dean is Dean Winchester, and that its all real. Marie and Maeve break out in giggles. They are willing to accept that monsters are real, but not that the stories are real. Maeve says that they're way too old to be Sam and Dean. Dean tries to set the record straight. They are hunters, and Maeve thinks they're like X-Files hunters. The scarecrow isn't from the books, but rather from a version of Marie's own nightmare. She puts it together, they think its a Tulpa. Tulpas are made from intense focused energy. Sam has the girls read up. Tulpas need a lot of psychic energy, and its not something that would be learned from the Supernatural books. Sam is sure that he's seen the flower somewhere in the lore, to connect it back. Sam will look into that, and Dean asks Marie to show him the boiler room where the Scarecrow is kept.

She take him down, and he uncovers the terrifying scarecrow, but it's not so frightening. Dean breaks apart the thing, and together he and Marie burn it in the furnace. They came, they saw, they kicked its... Sam bursts their bubble. It's not a tulpa. Sam and Maeve have found evidence that it is Calliope, a muse. She's associated with a star flower. She can manifest creatures from stories that she's in. Marie burned the prop for nothing, but Dean thinks it needed to be burned anyways. Calliope uses her manifestations to get rid of threats and protect her creatives until their visions are completed. Then she eats the author, very bad news for Marie. Dean will get his wish and the show is canceled. That's what happened to Mrs. Chandler and Maggie. So Marie will get her wish, the show must go on. The only way to get Calliope to come out of hiding is to have Marie finish the show, and wait for Calliope to eat her.

Marie heads to the teacher's lounge in a panic. Maeve worries that Calliope will eat her. Marie breaks though a paperbag trying to calm her nerves. Dean tries to calm her. She blames herself for what happened to Mrs. Chandler and Maggie, calling the play dumb. Dean may not believe in this iteration of the play, but she does, and he needs her to forge ahead so that they can stop Calliope and rescue Maggie and Mrs. Chandler. If Dean and Sam were real, they wouldn't back down Marie realizes, especially not her sweet selfless Sam. That observation is just another point that really rankles Dean. Marie is ready to step into Sam's part, and Barbara Streisand this bitch.

Opening night is upon them, and the cast is getting ready for their debut. Sam asks where Chuck is, and Marie admits that although she loves Chuck she hates the author in the story and meta-stories. Dean and Sam hate those as well. Dean gives the girls a little pep talk, they're all there because they love Supernatural, well most of them do. Dean hasn't always loved this version of Supernatural, but this is Marie's vision, and he tells them to give it their all. They bring it in with a GhostFacers, and the show begins.

Marie warns that the front row may want to use their ponchos, as the show begins. “Dean's” intro song begins with the bringing home of “Sam” and death of their mother. Sam looks for signs of Calliope and Dean rocks out. As the road trip begins on stage, Dean spots the scarecrow behind Sam. On stage the brothers fight monsters, Dean loses the scarecrow and Sam, as the first act comes to an end.

Sam wakes in a room with Maggie and Mrs. Chandler. All things considering, the Scarecrow isn't that horrible of a monster. They're stuck in the basement. Sam tries to open the door, which Mrs. Chandler tried as well with no luck. There is no way out, and they aren't alone. Calliope is in there too. With stake in hand Sam goes for Calliope, but she's a goddess, and powerful, forcing him back with a flick of her hand.

Onstage Dean and Castiel chat, leaving Castiel waiting. Marie asks what they should do now that Sam is missing. Dean tells Marie to keep going. Castiel sings a song of waiting.

Calliope goes all evil villain. She knew when the curtain opened that tonight would be worth the wait, possibly because the inspiration for the show was there. Sam asks if she has to wait for the conclusion of the vision, as the lore believes, but even Calliope can't stomach the thought of the ending with the robots, tentacle and space.

“Sam” sings her song about the greatness of her brother “Dean” and his single man tear. The ridiculousness of the show makes it all the more. Dean spots the scarecrow, and runs across the stage to tackle the monster.

Sam asks why Supernatural. Calliope tells him that its because it has everything: life, death, redemption, but especially family. It has every element of a good story, along with catchy toe tapping music.

On stage, Dean is tossed across by the scarecrow. “Dean” and “Sam” continue their songs, and the audience prepares for a splash.

Calliope finds Supernatural to be her perfect elixir, her bag. Maggie bashes her across the head with a book. Dean finds himself on the losing end of the scarecrow. Mrs. Chandler kicks Sam's stake towards him. Marie/”Sam” arms herself with a stake on stage, this is no time for a chick flick moment. She thrusts the stake at the scarecrow as Sam runs through Calliope. The Scarecrow explodes at the edge of the stage covering the audience. Marie did warn them. The audience thinks its all apart of the show, and gives a huge standing ovation. Shocked, Dean prompts “Dean” and “Sam” to take a bow.

Maeve points out that this is where Sam and Dean usually take off to avoid questions. She tells Sam that if he cut his hair he'd make a good Dean. Dean tells Marie that she did well, and she should keep at it, even if her vision doesn't match his. She calls him Dean and gives him her version of his amulet that he threw away long ago, telling him he should have never thrown it away. He gives it to her, it never really worked, but she tells him to just take it, jerk. He instantly shoots back with “bitch.”

The BM scene begins, not bowel movement, but Boy Melodramic when the boys vow for it to be the two of them against the world. The important players in the life of the Winchesters sing a beautiful rendition of “Carry On Wayward Son” when one player arrives neither brother knows who it is. Maeve tells them that its John Winchester's other son, Adam who is still trapped in the hell cage. Oh yeah, that guy. The play finally touches Dean, as both he and Sam watch the lights go down.

In their own BM moment, as Dean and Sam drive away, Dean hands his new amulet from Baby's mirror. There's nothing they need to say as they ride into the sunset.

Marie gets flowers, and the ticket that she left for the publisher was claimed. She runs to thank Chuck, explaining she knows the issues for the second act. Chuck tells her that it's not bad.
