Reggie Jackson, Jewel Staite, Billy Boyd, Denis O’Hare, Michael Rooker Also Headline Roster; Talented Comics Creators, Variety of Exhibitors, Cosplayers, Robust Programming At Sacramento Convention Center
SACRAMENTO, Calif., April 12, 2016 - Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) continues its 2016 schedule with its third trip to Sacramento Convention Center at Wizard World Sacramento, June 17-19. Captain America star Sebastian Stan,
X-Men standout Evan Peters, Hayley Atwell (“Agent Carter,” Captain America: The First Avenger), William Shatner (“Star Trek,” “Boston Legal”), and Baseball Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson (The Naked Gun ) headline the roster of celebrity guests scheduled to attend the pop culture extravaganza, the 11th event on Wizard World's calendar of comic con and gaming cons in 2016.
Jackson will attend on Saturday, June 18, only. Atwell will appear Sunday, June 19, only. Shatner will appear on Friday and Sunday; Stan and Peters are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.

It's a rainy evening as Stanley arrives
at the Freakshow. Inside there is much celebrating. Elsa rises for a
toast. She bids her children farewell and toasts the new owner,
Chester. She hopes that he will cherish her monsters. Chester's dream
has come true, and he hope Elsa will enjoy Hollywood. She dismisses
him, so that she can be alone with her troupe. She raises a drink to
Stanley, who she is also thankful for, for giving her her new career.
The freaks talk about an old painting, that sounds remarkedly like
his own story. As the thunder rumbles, Stanley wants to leave, but
Maggie tells him to sit down, he deserves the present. They bring
forth the box, and and its the head of the curator. After Maggie
passed out when she saw Jimmy's hands the curator at the freak museum
brought her and Desiree to her office, where Maggie woke up. Desiree
stabbed the woman from behind. Stanley knows the jig is up, and he's
surrounded. He tries to appeal to Elsa. He's giving her her dream of
Hollywood, but she's afraid its all a dream. The freaks place him
upon the wheel, and spin it as they toss knives at him. Stanley does
know people in Hollywood, but Elsa points out that he's brought death
to her troupe. He's pulled from the wheel and stabbed. All of the
freaks pull out their knives, and Elsa gives Stanley a head start
before the freaks hunt him down. Into the pouring rain Stanley goes,
but they catch up to him beneath a trailer. There's no escape.
Isolated in the barn in the field, Elsa
talks with Jimmy as he recovers. Jimmy is distraught over the death
of his father, but Elsa points out that she heard Dell confess with
her own ears. Jimmy doesn't have any forgiveness for Maggie, but Elsa
knows the body count would have been much higher had she not
confessed what she knows. His mother is no longer there to care for
him, and she has someone coming that will help with his handlessness,
but he has to heal first, and for that he must allow Maggie to help
him. Elsa leaves him in Maggie's hands. Maggie tends to his bandages.
It's painful for him, and for her too. Maggie loves him, that part
was true, and she still wants to start over. But Jimmy doesn't.
Maggie plans to make things right for him and for the rest of the
freaks. Jimmy warns her to leave before he gets new hands.
Elsa does a dry run of the show, but
things aren't going well. A man arrives. It's Massimo the same who
built Elsa's legs. Elsa comes off the stage to greet him, its been a
long time, and Elsa pulls him in for a warm hug, happy that he came.
Marjorie isn't happy that Chester put
her on the floor while he had sex with the twins. Chester is finally
happy, but Marjorie thinks that they're using him because he's the
boss. Chester hopes that the twins will cure him of everything that
is wrong with him, but Marjorie calls him a murderer. He blames the
deaths of his wife and her lover on Marjorie, but she's just a doll.
He remembers killing them. She tells him that he doesn't need the
twins, he has her. The twins have to go.
The freaks look through old pictures.
Penny finds one of a young Ethel, and they toast to her. Everyone
wonders if Elsa will stick around now that her dreams have been
dashed. One points out that Stanley said that Elsa killed Ethel. Paul
knows Ethel wouldn't have killed herself, she wasn't a coward. He
decides that there is only one way to secure their futures, they must
eliminate Elsa.
The twins give eachothers kudos on
Chester as they brush their hair before bed. They're really quite
pleased with themselves. Dandy arrives without notice, and he has
something he has to show them. Dandy claims that he has soften with
the death of his mother. Bette informs him that they've met a man.
Dandy has heard, and he seems genuinely sorry to have lost his chance
with the girls. Still, he hired a detective to find out what he can
about Chester, and he's uncovered plenty, calling him a sicko. He
gives the girls the file he has on Chester, and Dot tells him to
leave, disgusted with him.
Elsa comes to check on Jimmy. He's
sick. Elsa prepares an injection to fight off the infection as
Massimo introduces himself. He claims that he will make him whole,
and functional. Jimmy doesn't want to be like those who come back
from war with hooks. Elsa is a genius, and he will give him more than
hooks. She pulls down her stockings and shows him her wooden leg.
Without Massimo she would have died, there would have been no freak
show, Ethel would have died in a drunk tank. She would have married
Massimo, but he disappeared. The men who took Elsa's legs were not
normal men, they had a leader, Dr. Madrid. Massimo taught her to
walk, to dance. Massimo couldn't look at her and what they did to
him, so he hunted them all down, until he got to the leader. He
wanted to kill the leader last, he wanted to kill him slow, but the
man shot him, and captured him. He was tortured for a long time,
before he was released. He looked for Elsa and found her, but he
stayed away. His body survived the torture, but his soul was
extinguished. He can no longer love.
Chester chats with the troupe. The
twins look at Chester in a different light. Dot wants to wait until
they have proof before they move forward. Chester gives everyone
their places on the schedule, but Bette pipes up that they no longer
want to be his assistant. He tells them that he plans to saw the
girls in half, and they definitely don't want to be any part of the
act. Chester tries to put his foot down, but the twins walk out.
Maggie volunteers to go into the box, offering to be a part of the
act. Chester hallucinates that she's Lucy. He sends everyone else
away for his run through. As Chester goes through his act Maggie
changes from Alice to Lucy and back, but never as Maggie herself. At
one point as he manacles Maggie's feet she even turns to Marjorie.
She tells Chester that he would be nothing without her. Chester
begins to saw poor Maggie in half as she screams and pleads with him
to stop, but he doesn't. He saws her in two as the freaks come
rushing in. He pulls apart the box, dropping her innards to the
floor. The stun freaks take in the situation, as Chester tells them
to relax, that its just an illusion. But there's no putting Maggie
back together again. Desiree says that she had it coming, and they
plan to bury her.
Chester finds Marjorie packing her
things. She confused him and caused him to ruin everything. Chester
loses it, and stabs Marjorie, then cries over her dead body.
1946. Ethel announce Jimmy for the
stage, but he doesn't think he can go on. She gives him a pep talk.
Now. Jimmy looks out the window as he watches the rain. Eve comes to
him and tells him that Maggie is dead, she offers the details, but
Jimmy doesn't want them. Elsa is next. Eve spots the plans for
Jimmy's new hands, he'll have a chance at a normal life with them.
The twins enter Elsa's tent
unannounced, and see Elsa without her legs. They've come to warn her
that her monsters have been plotting to kill her. She thinks that
she's their mother, but they point out that Ethel was their true
mother, and she murdered her. They all know the truth. Elsa once
saved the twins, and now they have saved her, they're even.
The freaks gather to exact their
revenge. If Jimmy could be there with them, he would. Desiree drinks
to Ethel's memory, and then they head out in the name of justice. The
group heads to Elsa's tent, and finds music playing, but Elsa isn't
there.
Elsa sits in her car waiting for Dandy.
He claims to never be able to refuse a lady in distress. She's not in
distress but in shit. He gives to her a wad of cash.
Chester heads into the police station
still covered in blood with a bundle in his hands. He puts the bundle
on the desk, and the officer opens it exposing Marjorie. He falls to
his knees in confession that he did it, and asks for the chair.
The next morning, Dandy arrives at the
Freak Show. They've been sold again, and he's come to take inventory
of his investment. Paul takes him into the big top. It's always been
a dream of his to be on stage, and now its coming true. Dandy sends
Paul out to fetch him a lemonade, as he takes the stage. He bows to
his imaginary audience. Inside he hears a noise, and goes to
investigate it. Stanley has had his limbs removed, and he's in one of
Meep's old costumes. Dandy looks at him with delight.
Massimo's work is complete. He shows
Jimmy his new hands, and Jimmy thinks that they're perfect as he puts
them on. Massimo has crafted Jimmy a new set of flippers.
Two Days Ago. Stanley came to Jimmy
with an idea on how to raise the funds for his release. Stanley tells
him about a certain collector who is fascinated by freak shows, and
who would pay a pretty penny for some memorabilia. Jimmy doesn't have
anything he says, but Stanley points out that his hands, even just
the left one would bring in a ton of money. Jimmy wants to take his
chance, but Stanley warns that he won't get out of his cell alive,
he'll die just like Meep did. Stanley offers Jimmy a vial to drink,
and the promise that he'll take care of the rest. Jimmy doesn't want
to take the offer, but he has no other option. Jimmy drinks the vial
contents and becomes violently ill. Stanley yells for the guard to
come and release Jimmy to a hospital, but the guard protests, he's
under orders to keep Jimmy. Stanley makes a fuss, and threatens the
guard that he'll be prosecuted if Jimmy dies. The guard allows
Stanley to take Jimmy to the hospital in a ambulance that just
happens to be outside, with Stanley's boytoy in the front seat.
Stanley assures Jimmy that he'll take care of everything, as he gives
Jimmy the gas.
Jimmy awakens in the county hospital. A
nurse tells him that he'll go back to jail once he's stable. Jimmy is
secured to the bed with shackles. He asks for something for the pain,
but the nurse refuses, her friend was at the tupperware party. Jimmy
holds up his arm and sees a stump, he looks at the other and finds
the same. Stanley took both of his hands.
Dot writes in her diary. They've heard
Elsa say that her freaks are the bravest, most joyous people on
earth, and she sees that is true. The freaks could be angry and
bitter over many things, but they aren't. Bette declares them free
in her diary. Bette is back to being a brunette, and realizes that
she doesn't need to be different, she just needs her sister. Dot
loving Jimmy left her heart broken, and Bette thinking Dandy their
savior was foolish. They finally realize that they are where they
belong, but their top priority is with sex. They plan to pick someone
that they both find appealing, and get on with it, going as far as to
interview. And with that the two of them burn their diaries, there's
no more need for secrets.
Chester shows Eve and the others some
of his wares, he's a traveling salesman, and the twins are taken with
him. He has a chameleon farm he tells them. As he talks to Bette he
envisions another set of twins in their place. Chester (Neil Patrick
Harris) has a dark past surely. Dot tells her sister that she thinks
he's making eyes at her. Chester started raising chameleons after the
war, needed something calming. He tells them that he came down to
check out the freak show because he'd heard so much about it. He's
always wanted to join the circus, but Barnum and Bailey turned him
down. He delights the freaks with a little magic, and twins think he
may just be the one.
Dell comes to visit Jimmy, concerned to
hear his son is in the hospital. Dell takes one look at his hands,
and thinks that the cops did it to him. Jimmy tells Dell that he sold
his hands, that Stanley said that he would sell the hands to raise
money to get a retainer. Dell is upset that he trusted Stanley. Jimmy
has to believe that Stanley will do as he promised, he was the only
one that even came to visit. Jimmy looks longingly at his food that's
been left on a bedside table. Dell sits down and feeds his son. He
tells him that he could get prosthetics, that he knew a chef who had
two hooks, and worked his kitchen just fine. Jimmy hopes when he gets
out that he can buy the freak show from Elsa for cheap, and Dell
offers to go in on it with him. Jimmy asks why he doesn't have the
lobster claws. Dell is the black sheep of the family, all the others
had it. He was a freak in his family for being normal. Dell admits
that he took one look at Jimmy's claws and ran away. At fifty, he's
feeding his son for the first time.
Chester shows Elsa some of his act, the
linking rings, and Elsa stops him. They're a freakshow, not a magic
act. He apologizes. He tells her that he's just an ordinary joe,
unless she counts his Marjorie. Chester brings out his dummy, and
she's got quite a biting tongue. Elsa tells him that they have no
room in the show for him. Chester offers to at least be able to sell
his chameleons before the show. Elsa doesn't think that there's money
in lizards, but Chester shows her his books, and she's impressed with
his bookkeeping. If he's willing to help with the books, she'll allow
him to warm up the crowd. Chester drops to his knees in gratitude.
While getting ready for the show
Marjorie berates Chester. His dummy isn't happy that she's not listed
on the bill, but neither is Chester. She thinks Elsa took advantage
of him. Paul comes in thinking that there is someone in there with
Chester, but he tells him that he's just warming up. Paul tells him
to ease up on the rogue, he looks like he just marched out of the
nutcracker.
Eve helps Elsa pack. Elsa is going to
miss Eve's sharp tongue. Dell asks where Stanley is, he's going to
kill him. He tells Elsa that Stanley cut off his hands telling him
that he was going to sell them and get him a lawyer. Elsa tells Dell
to get Jimmy out of jail immediately, there's no way he'll survive
being helpless. Dell leaves the tent in a hurry and Eve follows him.
Dell lied to Jimmy about the reason that he was in her trailer
before, but Dell doesn't have time to go round with her. Eve wants to
put it behind them so that they can save Jimmy.
Chester come to see the twins, and
thank them for their endorsement. He performs a little trick, and
brings for them a beautiful music box with twin dancers. He has more
though. He was given access to storage he tells them. Paul showed him
some props that Dell brought with him, some likely flinched from
Houdini. The saw box caught his eye. The girls tell him that they no
longer wish to be sawed in half, but he insists that its only an
illusion, and tells the girls how the trick works. Bette asks why he
would tell his secret, he tells them because his assistants needs to
know all his secrets, and he thinks they would be perfect. They think
its because they're freaks, but he assures them, its because they're
beautiful. When he saw them it was like coming home. Past he
remembers another set of girls, lovely girls that he watched with his
dummy make love to each other. Now, the girls are taken in with
Chester, and they agree to be his assistants.
Chester performs his trick on stage,
with plenty of dramatic flare and the people love it. Bette notices
that Chester really seems taken with them, and Dot agrees that its
completely magical.
It's time for Jimmy to head back tot he
jail, and the officers are less than gentle as they prepare to
transport him. After throwing him in the back they race off. Eve
stands in the middle of the road, and hurls a rock at the speeding
truck. It crashes as Eve leaps out of the way. The officers rush out
to confront Eve, but Dell is there to take care of them. He hits the
first with a tire iron, and goes after the second who manages to
shoot Dell before Dell kills him.
The twins get cleaned up. Shaving their
legs, and perfuming their body.
Marjorie points out that Chester has
never had an assistant before. He claims that he never needed one
before now. The Twins interrupt. They're impressed with his voice
throwing skills, and they need to talk to him. He kisses both of
them, and they get a little handsy before he stops them. They may be
fresh off the farm but they can tell when a man is flirting with
them. He was the first person to do that. Chester gets a huge
headache. When he gets worked up it happens. The twins offer to rub
his shoulders while they chat about their deflowering. They've heard
that its many men's dream to be with two women at once. The dummy
pipes in that it isn't Chesters.
Past. The girls in Chester's past roll
around entangled on the bed while Chester watches with his dummy on
his lap. One of the girls stops. She can't stand Chester's dummy
watching, and she has other rules. No touching her, and if he's
taking the other girl from behind no eye contact. Alice is a wench.
She calls Chester a molester. Chester goes to leave, and the one asks
him to stay. If he doesn't participate then she'll fell guilty. He's
going to go to work on his magic. Alice plans to work on her own
magic, making two fingers disappear.
Chester's head pain gets worse, before
it gets better. Bette puts his hands on them, and pull him into
another kiss. He goes and grabs his dummy with an apology, Marjorie
relaxes him. The girls are okay with it, whatever he needs, and
Chester gets to work deflowering the girls.
Dandy receives some pictures of the
illicit affair. They were too busy to notice his camera. He asks if
the girls love Chester, but the private eye doesn't know. Dandy
cries, asking him not to call the girls freaks. They were suppose to
be his.
Night falls over the Freak show.
Chester has prepared a lovely crate for Marjorie. He tries to put her
in it, he really likes the girls but she tells him that if he locks
her away that she'll tell, tell everyone everything.
Past. Chester went to get Marjorie out
of her crate to find her missing. He confronted Alice about the
missing dummy, and she told him that she was just trying to help him.
“What kind of a man can't get it up without a doll watching?” she
asks. Alice can have his wife, but not Marjorie. Alice tells him that
people are starting to talk. He's returned from the war 4 years ago,
and still he wears his uniform. Marjorie tells Chester that they need
to get rid of Alice and the wife.
Paul comes to collect Chester to see
Elsa. He tells him how the rest of the troupe tried to raise the
money to buy the show from Elsa, but she turned them down. There was
another buyer already lined up. Elsa and Chester share a toast. He is
the new owner of the Freak Show, and Elsa is ready to let Chester in
on a little secret. She's more than just an artist, she can spot a
good business deal. When he showed her his ledger she knew that he
was a good businessman. Chester had never thought that he would be
the proud owner. She outlines the terms. No one will be fired, all
acts will remain the same. Chester likes the idea. He asks her if she
plans to take her tent and all of the items inside. She doesn't. Elsa
notes that it may be a little too feminine for him. He was thinking
it could be for Marjorie, she's had it rough lately, and they've been
traveling a lot, so as the new headliner, she really deserves it. If
that doesn't make red flags go up, I'm not sure what will.
Chester returns to his tent to find
Marjorie missing.
The cop cars roll in, sirens blazing.
Elsa comes out to meet the officers. They're looking for Jimmy
Darling he tells her, and two cops were found with their heads bashed
in. Chester comes over in a panic, telling them that his Marjorie is
missing. The cops aren't listening for Chester, and they plan to tear
the place apart to find Jimmy. Chester is distraught, looking for
Marjorie. He comes across Dandy on the carousel. Dandy tells him that
Marjorie ran off because of what he did with the twins, and she plans
to tell everything.
Dandy's private eye investigated
Chester. He found that Chester murdered his wife and Alice in cold
blood. The two women fell in love when their husbands went off for
the war. Alice's husband died in the war, and three was a crowd. The
bodies were found with a note that said that Marjorie did it. Dandy
is fascinated. He asks how it was done. Marjorie killed the women
with a hammer.
Chester tells him that he tried to stop
Marjorie, but it was too late. Dandy doesn't plan to turn him in, and
that Marjorie told him where she was going. Chester sees Marjorie as
a person in the big tent. He knows that she's angry with him, but he
wants her to open up to him. She's his best friend. She tells him
that he's going to do the dirty work this time, and saw the twins in
half.
Maggie pays Elsa a visit, she has to
show her something.
The lights go out on the Freak Show.
Dell makes it back to his trailer.
Desiree is waiting in the dark for him. She holds him at gun point
and tells him that they have a lot to talk about. He's glad that she
wants to tell. She asks where he was. She can't sit by the lies
anymore. It was one thing to sit around with his cheating, and
homosexual ways. She asks who he's killed. He tells her that he
killed the cops, but he had to. He's done nothing but try to set
things right.
Maggie leads Elsa to a tent.
Dell tells her how he talked to Jimmy.
They've made big plans for all of them, baby included if thats what
she wants. She tells her that lies always come to light.
Maggie unveils poor Ma Petite's body in
the jar.
Dell realizes that the jig is up. He
tells her that Stanley was blackmailing him. Desiree asks again who
he killed as she raises her gun. Dell admits that he killed Ma
Petite, and Desiree wants to know how. He tells her that he smothered
her, and Elsa shoots him from behind. That's all she needed to hear.
The death of a
beloved monster is always a sore, but never a surprise. A carney's
life burns brighter and stronger than most Elsa says. Pepper lays on
the body of Salty as Paul tries to tell her that he's gone, and just
a body now. She doesn't move. Outside Elsa tells Eve she understands
the death of Pepper's soul with the death of her other half. Eve is
concerned that the body will soon start to smell, but she won't give
up the body. Elsa brings Pepper something to eat. Most pinheads die
before the age of 40, so his passing was not a surprise. Poor Pepper
found him in his state, tried to shake him awake, and grieved
ferociously. He died in his sleep. Pepper never mistreated him or
took advantage of him. Elsa worked hard with Salty to try to get him
to communicate, Pepper could, but never Salty, Elsa laments as she
removes her makeup. Stanley points out that the look of suffering is
marring her face. Elsa doesn't appreciate his remarks. Stanley has
something she will appreciate, a telegram from the TV producer
they've been waiting for. Until then, Stanley suggests she get some
rest. Elsa can't rest though, Pepper needs her though. Stanley asks
that she let him take care of Pepper as he has her. He wishes to
cremate Salty, and give Pepper a beautiful urn, but Elsa refuses. She
knows Pepper would want Salty to have a proper burial. Stanley
presses. Stanley is in his barn with the body of Salty, cutting his
head off. The head is sent to the museum and preserved next to the
body of Ma Petite.
Desiree reads a
book to Pepper. Dell finds Pepper on her lap as she continues her
book. It's utterly beautiful. Dell tells her that she will make a
great mom someday, and asks to talk to her in private. He's made
mistakes, and he wants another chance. She saved his life, and he's
saved hers, but this is their chance for both of them to be truly
happy. Desiree goes to leave to get ready for the show, but Pepper
wants her to stay. When she won't, Pepper throws a tantrum. Desiree
watches, but gives her some tough love, telling her to clean up her
mess. Desiree reports to Elsa on Pepper. Elsa tells her that Pepper
has known nothing but abandonment her entire life, until Elsa found
her. Desiree wonders what they will do with Pepper when Elsa leaves,
she's likely to kill herself. Elsa cannot have that happen, they need
to rouse her spirits. Elsa tells Desiree the beginnings of the
Freakshow.
When she came to
America, Hitler was on the verge of war, so Elsa hid her accent and
worked as a chorus girl, but she was never good at working for
someone else. She was drawn to the freaks though. With war around the
corner, and the men going away, who would be left to entertain? It
would be the freaks. So she started her own collection of oddities.
She went to the place where people throw other people away, the
Orphanage. That was where she found Pepper. Pepper had never knew her
father, her mother had died, and her sister couldn't handle her.
Orphanages usually never took in eighteen year olds, but she had the
mind of a child. Elsa didn't need to adopt her, they happily let her
go. With Pepper she was the first one that Elsa truly loved. After
her first performance, she knew that Pepper was a keeper. From there,
Elsa grew her freaks. Pepper grew, and her material streak grew as
well, but Elsa couldn't let her breed.
Elsa didn't know
what to do until a Maharajah came to visits the freaks, and Elsa laid
eyes on Ma Petite. She knew immediately that she had to have her. He
refused to part with her, until Elsa offered him three cases of Dr.
Pepper. She had never seen Pepper so happy. Her maternal needs were
filled, but she wanted more. She longed for a companion. Elsa wrote
every orphanage, until finally she found Salty. It was love at first
sight for them. Elsa officiated their wedding. The bride and groom
knew six words between them, but it was still moving, and everyone in
the freak show celebrated. Salty and Pepper were very happy. Ma
Petite was their child, and Elsa their fairy godmother. It was a love
story for the ages, they never sinned or hurt anyone.
Desiree throws
back her drink. Pepper has lost everyone she loved. Desiree desires
to find her sister. Pepper has grown up, she's no longer the handful
that she was. Elsa glumly admits that she may be right, that it may
be time for her angel to return home.
Maggie twirls
Jimmy's card between her fingers. She takes a deep drink from a
bottle, as Desiree comes in with her Beau for a reading. Maggie asks
where she picked him up at, and Desiree caught him with the twirl of
a pasty. He asks her to tell him their future. Maggie looks for
clues, and sees that he's a traveler, a door to door salesman. He's a
romantic, and she sees a white picket fence in their future. All the
lovey dovey gets to her though, and she gives them a reading where
their love turns sour. Desiree and her man leave, claiming that they
don't believe in her power anyways.
Outside on the
carousel Maggie sits wallowing in alcohol and misery. Desiree
confronts her about the reading she gave, obviously a reflection on
the horrors of her own love life. Its right, there isn't anything she
can do for Jimmy. She admits to Desiree that she's no fortune teller,
that she and Stanley are on the griff and that he's no talent scout.
She tells her that they're business partners have been for years.
1941. Maggie was
selling papers as Stanley watched her, picking pockets all the while.
One officer caught her, but Stanley quickly stepped in with a tale.
Stanley offered her a partnership then, ten cents on the dollar. Back
then it was big money. Maggie didn't have parents to protest, and
Stanley took good care of her. Desiree asks what she could want with
freaks like them. Maggie claims that she was picking the pockets of
the customers. Desiree doesn't believe her for a moment. She notices
that there have been a lot of trouble in the show since she arrived,
that a lot of them have been dying. Maggie lashes out, asking if she
wants to hear that she killed them all. Desiree warns her that if she
finds out that she had anything to do with their deaths that she'll
kill her as well.
Maggie returns to
her tent to find Dot and Bette waiting for her. She's not in the mood
for company. Bette tells her that they don't have much, but they've
been saving their money, and they want to give it to her to get Jimmy
a lawyer. Maggie tells the girls to get a lawyer themselves, that he
may even reward them with a kiss. Dot wants to punch Maggie in her
face. Bette tells her sister to let her handle this. Bette paints a
picture of triumph, but Maggie doesn't see the silver lining. Dot
snaps. Jimmy may think that she walks on water, but she sees the real
Maggie and she's a phony. She doesn't love Jimmy, if she did, she
would do anything to save him. Bette points out that Jimmy could end
up like Meep. Dot throws the money at Maggie, telling her to do right
by Jimmy.
In jail, Jimmy
gets a visitor, its Stanley, and Jimmy isn't exactly enthusiastic. He
was hoping for someone else. Stanley knows how he's feeling though,
he lost his mother too, and he got into some trouble too. He asks
Jimmy if he did it, but Jimmy is sure he didn't. He drank a lot and
blacked out when he got to the house, but he's sure he didn't do it.
Stanley didn't think that he did, and so he's getting him a good
lawyer, the son of one of the best ones. Stanley tells him that he
owes him nothing, but the lawyer will need a retainer. Jimmy has no
money, and nothing of value. Stanley walks away. Jimmy is left
frustrated when Stanley comes back. He may have an idea of how to
raise money, and judging from the direction of the camera Jimmy may
be pimped out again.
Desiree prepares
a grand feast. She's working on a pot roast. Maggie mocks Desiree for
her Betty Crocker act. Desiree points out that if she's gonna be a
home maker she needs to make sure her man doesn't starve. Her mother
taught all her sisters how to cook but not her. Desiree tells Maggie
to stop buttering her up, she still remembers what Maggie confessed,
and she still hasn't decided what to do about it. Maggie finally
wants to do the right thing. She takes Desiree to talk in private.
Maggie wants to help Jimmy. Desiree tells her to get him a lawyer.
She tells her that everyone in the camp will be dead soon, and she
just needs to connect the dots and find the culprit. She knows that
Desiree wants to ride off into the sunset and forget all about
everything, but Maggie needs her to see something first.
Elsa sips coffee
as she sits with Pepper and her sister. It's an awkward sitting, she
thinks that Pepper remembers her leaving her at the orphanage. She
thought she would never get married or have children if she had to
look after her dimwitted sister. Rita never had children. Elsa thinks
that's all the better. She's taught her many things, how to speak,
make cocktails and take care of herself. Rita doesn't think that she
can keep her sister, she's never told her husband that Pepper has
even existed. Elsa tells her that she thinks that Pepper is a burden,
but she is not she is a gift. Rita mutters that her husband will be
upset, but Elsa tells her to man up and stand up to him. Her sister
has experienced a great loss, and Elsa fears that she will perish if
she is not with family. Rita reluctantly accepts her sister, even
though she knows her husband will be upset. Elsa goes to say her
goodbyes. She and Pepper have been together for a long time. Elsa
tells her that no matter how far apart they are, that they will still
be family. She knows that Rita and Pepper don't know each other
anymore, and that Rita will make mistakes, but she means well. Elsa
kisses Pepper's hand, and tells her that whenever she misses her, to
hold her hand to her cheek. Elsa leaves poor Pepper behind.
Maggie takes
Desiree to the museum. She tells her that she needs a witness for
when she calls out Stanley, so that someone will know the truth if he
kills her. Desiree is beside herself when she see Ma Petite's body.
Maggie admits that Stanley got $3,000 for her. They see Salty's head
on display next, but when the newest display is shown Maggie faints.
It's Jimmy's hands.
Rita sits down
with Sister Mary Eunice. She tells her that she and her husband gave
everything. Massachusettes 1962. Sister Mary Eunice asks for the
reason for confinement. Rita tells her that she always wanted a baby,
and right before her 50th
birthday she experienced great pains. Her husband rushed her to the
hospital, and she was told she was in labor. The baby was deformed,
but she considered him a miracle. She was confined to her bed. Pepper
was happy to help take care of the baby at first.
Rita sat in bed as
Pepper did everything, including making Martini's. Rita made her take
the baby with her as she made her drinks, not wanting to deal with the baby at all. She blames the missing gin
on Pepper, when she was drinking it in reality. Her husband came
home, upset about the baby's crying, and Pepper sitting around. She
sent Pepper downstairs and her husband would follow. He couldn't wait
to get alone with her, but Rita claimed it was Pepper who was
obsessed with her husband.
Sister Mary Eunice tells her that
truthfully a lot of patients suffer from lack of inhibitions but the
shock therapy and caning help with that. Rita asks if it helps with
the murdering. Sister Mary Eunice asks for clarification. Rita tells
her that none of them saw what happened thankfully.
Rita was getting
ready to go out, she wanted to dance and have a night out with her
husband, but he was worried about Pepper being left alone with her
baby. He hated Pepper and her lack of smarts. Rita feels the same
way. She hates being left alone with the two of them. Her husband
thinks that they're on the same page, and he wants her to admit that
she never bonded with the baby. She never did, but she could never
kill her sister. He has a way to kill two birds with one stone.
Rita
tells Sister Mary Eunice that she was with the baby all day at the
park, and exhausted, so she asked Pepper to give him his bath. Pepper
bathed the baby and her husband came from behind and took Pepper from
the room. She banged on the door, trying to get back in while he
killed the baby. Once done she let Pepper come back in. She screamed.
Rita claimed that she ripped his ears off and drowned the baby then
went down to watch her show. Pepper was taken away in a straight
jacket as Rita screamed blaming her. Pepper was taken to the asylum.
Rita claims that Pepper ruined her life, and asks that she never be
released.
Pepper cries in
the corner, banging her head on the wall. Sister Mary Eunice warns
her that self pity will get her no where. She removes the jacket from
Pepper, to get her into decontamination. Pepper cries about the baby.
Sister Mary Eunice tells her that what she did made her sick. She
looks into Pepper's eyes, and thinks that she sees redemption in her
eyes, and hugs her close. Sister Mary Eunice takes her into the
library to have her help tidy up. She thinks of her as her special
project, and hopes she'll be able to work in the bakery with her
soon. Pepper cleans up the magazines, and finds one with Elsa on the
cover, which brings her a smile and a bit of happiness.
Dandy pays Maggie
a visit, and she suspects that they've met before, she remembers his
voice. It's very familiar, and it should be considering that he tried to saw her in half. He hands her $5, and she'll answer his questions. He's a
heartbreaker he tells her. He's hurt someone badly, someone he
counted on for help, can't help him anymore, and now he's worried
that he'll have to pay. An Avon lady came to the house to pay Gloria
a visit, and Dandy killed her. He cut off the woman's head, and sewed
it onto his mother's body, making her into his own two headed puppet
to replace the twins that left him. Maggie sees a clear ball. He'll
get through the storm unscathed. Dandy asks about his past, and
Maggie tells him that she does see a dark cloud. There will be rain,
but it will pass. He'll go on as he has before, breaking hearts. He
calls Maggie his savior, completely relieved. He throws a $100 on the
table, so thankful. As Maggie goes to collect the money, he grabs her
hand telling her that she shouldn't waste her powers, and Dandy slips
once again from completely charming to totally creepy in two seconds
flat.
Jimmy marvels
over his fat lady's appetite. He's never seen anyone with such a
passion for food as he feeds her chocolate pudding. He wants to see
it again, all too wrapped up in his girl. Paul and Eve are a little
disgusted of his lewdness. Jimmy sees Dandy leaving, and he races out
to confront him. Dandy is willing to take back the twins. Jimmy knows
who Dandy is now, the other clown. Dandy points out that there is
nothing he hates more than an alcoholic with bad hygiene as Jimmy
takes a swing at Dandy. He misses and falls to the ground. Dandy
warns him that he took away his chance for happiness when he stole
back the twins, and he plans to make him pay by destroying everything
that he loves. Dandy walks to his car with a smirk on his lips.
Things are about to get really bad for the Freaks.
Elsa and Stanley
track down the twins. They tell them that the town has turned against
them, and break the news about Ethel's death. The twins ask how they
found them, and Elsa claims that she has her connections. In reality
they searched Ethel's things, and found a note that was for Jimmy to
go find the twins and keep them safe, and their location. Elsa tells
them that she has done what they asked, and she's going to not only
get them out of there, but keep them safe. She's even consulted the
doctor as Bette had asked.
Maggie and
Desiree try to avoid being seen as they sneak away, but they're
stopped by Theodore Huxtable, who has come to see Mrs. Desiree the
most beautiful woman in the world. She tells him that he can wait to
see her like everyone else at showtime. Maggie warns him off, but
Desiree tells her that its fine. Desiree croons to him that he needs
more discretion, and she'll see him soon. She heads back to Maggie,
telling her that the man is her beau, but to keep it quiet. The pair
sneak into Barbara's tent and find Jimmy taking the woman from
behind, which hurts Maggie. He can't get off though, and Maggie
points out that he'd screw anything in his current state. Maggie
tries to run off, but Jimmy grabs her back. He tells her that Barbara
begged him to touch her, and to look at he soft curves, her huge
breasts. He swears that she tastes like a lollypop, Maggie slaps him.
Barbara tries to stick up for Jimmy, threatening to flatten Maggie,
but the girl has spunk. She tells her that she's nothing and Barbara
turns to Jimmy for reassurances, but he merely vomits.
Some ladies sit
around chatting about their newfound talents. One comes out of the
backroom. Jimmy's drinking has affected his gigolo side gig, causing
him to miss his target. He stumbles out of the room. Can someone
please sober him up, this storyline is already boring. He sees his
dead mother, who tells him that he's disgusting, and that she's
rolling over in her grave. He falls to his knees, asking his mother
why she did what she did to him. One of the girls asks her about how
she kept left overs in her days. He cries in her lap as she says how
she spent her days raising a no good drunk like his father, and how
he's wasting his life grieving over her. Jimmy snaps out of it, and
sees that the woman he has his face buried in her lap is not his
mother as he's asked to leave. He leaves, and the ladies go back to
their tupperware party. There's a knock at the door and they think
Jimmy has returned, but its not Jimmy, its Dandy. The dumb
unsuspecting women let the dashing Dandy in, as he makes an excuse to
use their phone. The woman is absolutely charmed by him, and lets him
in.
Elsa and Stanley
drive the twins out to a barn in the middle of nowhere. Elsa and
Stanley have already brought the Twins' things, and even some of
Elsa's to make the barn more hospitable. They ask how long they're
expected to wait there, and where the doctor will take them. There's
a table in the barn, the doctor isn't taking them anywhere. Really,
it looks like an elaborate plan Elsa and Stanley cooked up to get rid
of the twins. Although Elsa feels bad, and genuinely claimed to love
her monsters, she's going along with the plan. Stanley pushes. He
tells her that the best way to send the girls off is to give them
what they want, and he claims that he's called the doctor. Its a win
win. Once the girls are separated, then they can live their separate
lives there, and he and Elsa can go off to Hollywood. Now, outside
Elsa asks why there's a table in the barn. Stanley explains that its
for the initial exam, once that's complete, the twins will be
transferred undercover to a hospital where the procedure will be
performed. Stanley tries to assure the twins, that the procedure will
be good for both of them, that the doctor has perfected his technique
and they will both live through it. Dot even tries to convince Bette
of the benefits, that she can go to the movies whenever she wants,
and even dance all night. Bette points out that she'll only have one
leg. Stanley thinks they can be split right down the middle, which
Bette finds heartbreaking. This is what Dot wants. She wants her
freedom, and a chance for love. Bette won't do it, she thinks its
barbaric. Stanley and Elsa head out so that they can collect the
doctor.
The housewife's
husband returns home, complaining that her friends are blocking the
driveway. He allowed her to throw the party, with the understanding
that they wouldn't, and he had to park down the street. Parking is
the least of his problems. Sylvia doesn't answer, and then he notices
his pool. Sylvia and all of her friends have been murdered, and their
blood coats the water.
Dandy hums a
happy song as he pours some blood into his bath. Regina returns,
warning Dandy that she's gone to the cops for help finding her
mother. Dandy smugly confesses that he killed her mother and Regina
is instantly distraught. She notices the blood splatter all over the
teddy bears and the room. It's not her mother's blood, but his. He
tells her that he's finally embraced the power of bathing in blood.
He confesses further that the blood in the tub is that of some nice
ladies that he just murdered. He locks Regina in the room with him,
and asks that she bathe with him like they did as children. He heads
toward the tub, disrobing, asking her when she knew he was destined
for this future. He thinks that he is a God, a God chosen to walk
among men. He tells Regina that he has no plans to kill her, he just
wants her to get in the tub. She doesn't want to though, she wants to
leave. Dandy is disappointed, but he lets her go. It'll be lonely,
but he thinks he is above the law.
Bette knows that
Dot is disappointed. Everyone thinks that Dot is the smart one, but
Bette has been paying attention, they can't both survive the surgery.
Dot doesn't want Bette dead, she thinks that it is possible for both
of them to survive, and furthermore, she feels like they have to take
the chance at a normal life. Bette remembers their mother, how she
didn't want to buy them lace up shoes, thinking that they would never
be able to tie them, but they mastered it, and needlepoint too.
Together there was nothing they couldn't do. They're special, they
have a connection no one else would have been able to handle, and
that connection has able to love another person like they've loved
each other. Bette admits that she too has the same dreams of
separation, but thinks that she wouldn't survive without Dot. She'd
be too lonely. But Bette is ready. She would rather they thrive, even
if its only one of them, then to stay together and wither away. If
the choice comes down to only one of them, then Bette is willing to
give her life so that Dot can survive. The twins truly love each
other, and they're ready to be apart.
Back at the Freak
Show, Dell has a hard time writing a letter to Desiree, so he scraps
it, and tries to write one to Jimmy, his son in between drinks.
Drunkingly he walks away from the show, when Stanley finds him. Dell
tells him that it isn't his business, but everything is his business.
Stanley asks if he's headed back to the club for his hustler. Stanley
tells him that he's long gone. Dell grabs him, thinking he knows
where Andy has gone, but he doesn't. Stanley taunts him, telling him
that he's walking around like a guilty man, half-cocked. Stanley is
never half-cocked though, and shows him. Dell sees that Stanley is a
freak too, and alludes that it gets larger when angry. Stanley offers
to let him touch him, that it can be their secret. Dell hesistates.
In his letter he wrote down some of his secrets, of the reasons that
he couldn't go on. The ghost of Ma Petite orders him to sign his
letter when he hesitates. He heads over to the noose, and can't quite
bring himself to use it. Ethel's ghost taunts him calling him a
coward. She's not there to talk him out of killing himself, but
pushing him to do it. Dell can't take the shame of it all anymore.
Ethel calls him a freak, and he is. He's not sure how she was able to
live that way. Most of them carry their shame on the outside, but
Dell kept his on the inside. She understands. The shame eats away,
until there is nothing left but the rot. Dell can't take it anymore.
Ethel knows that he was always weak, no matter how many steel bars he
bent, he was still weak inside. She tells him to step up on the bar
and just get it done. He steps onto a chair, and places the noose
around his neck and steps off the chair. He chokes, banging around,
until he nearly blacks out. Desiree found him before he could die,
and cut him down. She falls to her knees, and they both cry.
Stanley waits at
a seedy motel, and the “doctor” has arrived. The pretty boy takes
off his coat, but there's work to be done first. Stanley tests him,
in preparation for their meeting with the twins. He may be pretty,
but he doesn't know his lines. Stanley gets him to good enough before
ordering him to his knees.
Regina returns to
Dandy's home with an officer. Regina has made some serious
accusations against Dandy, and he's come to question him. Dandy
welcomes them inside, offering drinks. The officer is eager to get
this over quickly as Regina spouts off accusations. He tells him if
his mother could just come down and clear things up. Dandy admits
that he and Regina use to be friends, that they grew up together, but
things changed when he realized that they were not the same station.
Regina runs her mouth again. Dandy goes on, he's never known Regina
to lie, and if she says that he killed them, then they must be dead.
What Regina didn't say though is that the Mott's own the biggest
frozen food company in America, and they have a whole lot of money.
The fortune left to him could sustain a small country. He's seen the
face of God. The officer fingers his gun, warning Dandy that he's
digging himself a hole. Instead Dandy suggests that he dig a hole,
and work for him, and he'll pay him a million dollars. The cop
doesn't hesitate to shoot Regina in the head, asking for a shovel.
Maggie has no clue the monster she unleashed by telling him that he
wouldn't get caught.
Jimmy comes back
to find that Ethel's banner is being removed. He wants it put back
up. He rages at Eve, but ultimately takes his bottle back to his
trailer as he stumbles in. The twins are inside waiting for him. They
tell him that they were about to do something horrible. Dot admits
that it was she that was going to do something horrible. She finally
realizes the mistake. Bette isn't the problem, she's the purest part
of their soul, she's family. Jimmy knows that family doesn't stay,
even that goes away. Dot grabs his hand. She knows his pain, and
she's sorry for his lost, but he doesn't have to be alone anymore.
She admits to him that she has loved him since she first laid eyes on
him. He looked at her, and he didn't flinch, only saw her. Dot drops
her robe, exposing them to Jimmy. She wants to replace the hurt that
he feels with love. Jimmy asks Bette how she feels, but Bette is
willing to support her sister. If she wants Jimmy, then Bette is
willing to go along with it. Dot kisses Jimmy, and he pulls away. He
reluctantly admits that he's in love with someone else. The twins
leave Jimmy, and he picks up his bottle again, but he doesn't take
another drink. Instead he smashes it against a wall. Sirens sound, as
a cop car comes to take Jimmy away. He's being arrested for murders
of Sylvia and her friends. Maggie comes running out, as Jimmy tells
them that he doesn't know any of those women. They found his gloves
at the scene of the crime though. Maggie claims that he's been there
all day, and tries to stop them from taking him, but they push her
away, and take him anyways. Poor Jimmy.
