Tarzan Trailer

So you have a super hot actor, i.e. Kellan Lutz, and you're doing Tarzan, your first thought is lets do performance capture, right? I was thinking more of the picture that is on the right, but that isn't exactly what Constantin Films had in mind. They chose to go with the option on the left.

Performance capture is the same technology they used in Avatar, and it is probably the last thing I would use for this film. Sure there's some ape-like movements that Lutz would have had a hard time performing, but really? It seems like such a waste of beauty.

But alas it is done. It's very cartoonish, but maybe that's what they were going for.

You can check out the Tarzan film from Constantin Film for yourself below.

Official Synopsis: Tarzan and Jane Porter face a mercenary army dispatched by the evil CEO of Greystoke Energies, a man who took over the company from Tarzan's parents, after they died in a plane crash.

Kellan Lutz and Spencer Locke To star in Tarzan and Jane

That's right, you read that correctly, someone has been playing in the playground of my mind, and Mr. Kellan Lutz has been tapped to play Tarzan. Well color me happy. And while I love his casting, well, I'm not sure about the Jane casting. Nothing against Locke, but let's just say, I would have gone in a different direction, but I'm open to being wowed.  Here is the sitch so far:

Constantin Film’s Tarzan movie has been quietly been in development but is now entering the casting stage.

Twilight star Kellan Lutz and Resident Evil actress Spencer Locke, have nabbed the roles of Tarzan and Jane. The movie will be a performance-capture 3D production.

Reinhard Klooss is directing the movie with Kloos also producing with Robert Kulzer. With the script by Klooss, Yoni Brenner and Jessica Postigo, which updates the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs jungle hero.

Tarzan’s parents, billionaire adventurers, are killed in airplane crash.
Jane is the daughter of an African guide, committed to the conservation and preservation of the African jungle. She eventually works with Tarzan to defeat the mercenary army of Greystoke Energies, which just happens to be the company of Tarzan's deceased parents.
