HBO renews The Leftovers for a second season!

HBO RENEWS THE LEFTOVERS FOR A SECOND SEASON

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 13, 2014 – HBO has renewed the drama series THE LEFTOVERS for a second season, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. Created by Damon Lindelof (Emmy® winner for “Lost”) and acclaimed novelist Tom Perrotta (Academy Award® nominee for “Little Children”), the series is produced for HBO by White Rabbit in association with Warner Bros. Television. Lindelof serves as showrunner.

“We are thrilled to bring back THE LEFTOVERS for a second season with the exceptional talents of Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta,” says Lombardo. “It has been truly exciting to see the overwhelming response to their provocative and original storytelling. We look forward to continuing the journey as the show delves deeper into the lives of those who remain.”

Currently debuting hour-long episodes on Sundays at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT), and based on Perrotta’s bestselling novel of the same name, THE LEFTOVERS is an original look at The Rapture…or was it The Rapture at all? Set in a small New York suburb, the intimate family drama focuses on the residents of the fictional town of Mapleton, whose preconceptions are shattered in the wake of a global event dubbed “The Sudden Departure.” Three years after the fateful day when 140 million people disappeared without a trace, the series looks at the ways ordinary people react to inexplicable events that can unite or divide families and communities, examining how their untold grief and the strain of an unprecedented calamity can turn faith into cynicism, paranoia, madness or cult-like fanaticism.

The ten-episode first season of THE LEFTOVERS debuted June 29 on HBO, with the season finale slated to debut Sept. 7. Among the critical praise, the New York Times hailed the show for “an intriguing premise that is intelligently and artfully presented,” while HitFix.com said of Damon Lindelof, “Maybe he saw the opportunity in ‘The Leftovers’ to make something great. Because he sure as hell has.” The New Yorker noted that the show “captures the disorientation of grief in a way that is provocative and rare for television,” adding, “‘The Leftovers’ is something new.”

Season one series regulars include Justin Theroux, Amy Brenneman, Christopher Eccleston, Liv Tyler, Chris Zylka, Margaret Qualley, Carrie Coon, Emily Meade, Amanda Warren, Ann Dowd, Michael Gaston, Max and Charlie Carver, and Annie Q.

Season one credits: THE LEFTOVERS is produced for HBO by White Rabbit in association with Warner Bros. Television; created by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta; executive produced by Damon Lindelof, Tom Perrotta, Peter Berg and Sarah Aubrey; co-executive producers, Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger. Damon Lindelof serves as showrunner.

Teen Wolf Season 3 Part 2 DVD Review

Teen Wolf is back on DVD with Season 3b and it just keeps getting better. When MTV decided to give the show an extended season rather than watering down what they had, they split the season into A and B, which was a brilliant move. This season's tagline was Lose Your Mind, and it was definitely a psychological thriller.

Three weeks after the events of Season 3A, 3B starts and hits the ground running. While there are a few funny moments this season may be the darkest one yet. The season kicks off side effects from 3As ritual sacrifice bring about illicit nightmares from Stiles, Scott and Allison right from the start before the season dives into Japanese mythology and the introduction of supernatural creatures such as the Kitsune, oni and nogitsune.

Derek's whereabouts and reasons for leaving are discovered and explored. Scott learns control of his alphaness, Lydia's powers are mastered. Stiles must make hard decisions. One thing is for sure, nothing and no one will be same after this season.

The writers really stepped up their game making Stiles, the best character in my opinion thanks to Dylan O'Brien's amazingness, into the villain, and took some chances by killing off a major character. It's an emotional punch right to the gut with all the horror and heartbreak.  Everyone really pulled their weight this season delivering some of the best performances of the series.

My normally favorite special feature is absent from the DVD. The lack of the Sirtless montage is a travesty. The only special feature is "Following the Pack: The Fans of Teen Wolf." Which includes special footage from the Supernatural Fan Expo with cast interviews, exclusive party coverage and more.

With season four having just started, there's no time like the present to get caught up. Teen Wolf Season 3 part 2 is on DVD now!

The Pack is Back! Teen Wolf Season 3 Part 2 Arrives on DVD June 17.

Teen Wolf S3E24 (Finale) - "The Divine Move" Recap

Chris Argent coaches Scott on what to say to the authorities about Allison's death. Stiles is at Kira's house and Kira tells her parents that Allison was able to kill an oni before she died. Kira's parents tell them they need to make what's known as a "divine move" that will turn the game around. Chris and Isaac share a moment of grief, while the oni attack the officers at the sheriff's department.

The twins are at Derek's place and are thinking that the best course of action is running, while taking Lydia with them. Derek tells them that Lydia would never run. He tells them that they don't fight for a leader; they fight for a leader's cause. Scott fights even when all hope is lost. Scott and Lydia visit Deaton, who advises them to use the Nemeton to trap the nogitsune. They realise that the container that held Talia's claws was made from the wood of the Nemeton, and Deaton confirms this as he was the one who made it.

Nogitsu-Stiles heads to the hospital with some oni, on the hunt for Melissa. Havoc is wreaked, lights flicker, and there are plenty of casualties. The sheriff try to shoot the oni but their bullets don't do much good. Melissa is attacked by the oni, but Agent McCall fends them up. She's left with a leg injury. Isaac is trying to figure out what Allison was trying to tell Isaac to tell Chris. Together, they come to the realisation that the silver arrowhead was what killed the oni.

Lydia has a sudden rushing feeling, like they're running out of time. That's when Stiles and Kira show up and they realise that Stiles is inching closer to death. Stillinski and the other sheriffs have been abandoned by the oni, but they are being poisoned by their wounds. Stiles, Scott, and Kira head to Beacon Hills high. When they open the door, they find themselves in the snowing Japanese garden that the first oni encounter occurred in.

Derek and the twins meet with Nogitsu-Stiles with the Nemeton box. The Bandaged Man and some oni fight the group in the garden. The Bandanged Man tells them that he's captured nearly every spot on the board, with Deaton being one of the last ones. Deaton fights off some oni in his office but ends up wounded. By the end of the fight, Stiles will either kill himself or have Scott do it for him. Scott and Kira fight the oni while the Bandaged Man stands back and Lydia and Stiles crouch down together. Stiles grabs a sword and prepares to run himself through but he looks at the reflection in the sword and begins to see past the illusion of the snowy garden.

Derek and the twins aren't doing too well with the oni but it's then that Chris and Isaac show up. Chris is armed with silver arrowheads and begins taking out theoni while Nogitsu-Stiles runs off. Stiles tells Scott and the others to stop fighting and to understand that it is an illusion. Scott and Kira are both cut by the oni but they keep moving forward towards the Bandaged Man and it's then that they crash through the doors and find themselves in the hallway and unharmed. It's then that they're attacked by Nogitsu-Stiles. Scott bites Nogitsu-Stiles, making him both a fox and a wolf and Kira stabs him with her sword. The fly flies out of his mouth, which Isaac catches in the Nemeton box. Nogitsu-Stiles turns to dust, smoke, and disappears.

Unfortunately, Aiden is fatally wounded from the oni that he killed and his dying breath is used to worry that Lydia won't believe he was a good guy. Lydia runs out and sees it and immediately turns into Stiles' arms. Everyone else recovers from their oni cuts, which really doesn't explain why Aiden had to die. Malia is now shown to be beginning attending Beacon Hills high. Scott begins coaching her on how to use her powers. Ethan prepares to break up with Danny, saying he doens't think he can stay. Danny reveals he was about to break up with him, listing Ethan's many good qualities, but saying he doesn't think he could date a werewolf. They kiss goodbye, and how the hell long did Danny know about werewolves? Will he finally get upgraded to a series regular???

Finally, Derek tells Stiles about a bad dream he had. But then Stiles advises him to count fingers and Stiles is shown to have more than five on one hand. Derek realises that he really has been shot, by Kate Argent, who is not dead, and is some sort of creature we've never seen before.

Teen Wolf will return on MTV for Season 4!

Teen Wolf S3E23 - "Insatiable" Recap

Deacon reaches his hand down the throats of the infected wolves and gets the evil flies out. Deacon says that what's more worrisome is that this was likely a distraction. He says that the others are trying to make sure that they know which Stiles is which. Mama McCall is checking what we're assuming is the real Stiles. She says that he's definitely a real person and medically seems fine. Even Stiles is weary of whether or not he is himself. Yoshiko, Kira's mum, arrives after Stiles asked her to come to test whether he is really himself. The oni are summoned and they check Stiles and brand him with the self sign, showing that he is indeed Stiles. Yoshiko says that the nogitsune would have taken Lydia for her power. Lydia is shown to be in a hallways with pipes. Nogitsu-Stiles asks her if she can hear that (screaming) and he says that it's louder than usual because a lot of bad things happened down there. He asks her what the voices are telling her and points out that the voices are right in saying that Stiles is dying. She tries to run away and and says she won't tell him anything but he says that she won't have to because she'll be screaming. Also, it looks like she's in Oak Creek, the internment camp where everything began.

Yoshiko begins showing Kira how to play a board game, Go, that Scott saw Stiles and the Nogitsune playing. She says that it the nogitsune is playing a game and that she must learn how to play in order to save her friends.

The sheriff is staying at the station, refusing to go home until he gets news about his son. Scott and Stiles show up to deliver the news that it really is his son. He asks them if it's over and Scott says, "Not yet."

Derek asks Chris why he didn't pull the trigger and Chris says that he's not his enemy anymore. Derek asks why they're not going after the nogitsune and Chris says it is because it won't be long before he comes after them.

The sheriff, Scott, and Stiles try to figure out what the nogitsune would need from Lydia and Stiles points out that she has a knack for finding dead bodies. Stiles has a memory triggered when Scott says the phrase, "the whole story," and he realises that Meredith, a girl from Eichen House might be able to help. When they call Eichen House, they learn that Meredith has been locked up since she wouldn't stop screaming. When they reach her cell, they find that she has escaped and we see her lurking in the hallway.

The twins go searching for a scent in the woods and find themselves shot by wolfsbane rounds. Isaac and Allison find Lydia's car and Isaac says that the car is strong with the scent of anger. Allison picks this, of all moments, to ask him if whether he remembers the night that he came to visit her and whether he was really himself when they had sex - though they never actually say the word "sex." Teenagers. He says that it was him. They're sitting in the car and Allison gets an idea. She blows on the glass and when it fogs up, she finds the message, "Don't find me."

Coach is angry about his hospital bill and then his class is interrupted when Danny spots Meredith sitting in there. What? Why?

Stiles isn't doing so well. He's in pain, aching all over, and is cold to the touch. Scott is concerned. He gets a call from Kira, who tells her that Meredith is in Coach's class. He is trying to get answers out of her and she admits that she is from Eichen House and that she escaped because she wants to help. She says that "they" scream when someone's about to die, and that they are all screaming right now.

Derek helps the injured twins out of the forest. Kira tells Coach that people can't take Meredith aaway when orderlies show up, saying that bad things will happen to him, Scott, Stiles, Lydia, and well everyone really if she gets taken away. Coach is annoyed to see the orderlies who appear to be some bullies from when he was in school. They're just as rude as ever. When he goes to show them Meredith sitting in his office, they find that she is gone away.

Allison is working on her sniper rifle and Chris comes down and tells her that it's time for her to graduate. He teaches her to make silver bullets and she says that the arrow is her weapon and so she wants to make silver arrowheads instead. She tries to talk seriously with him and say her goodbyes since she was never able to do so with her mother and she tells him that she loves him and she is proud of him and the two of them together.

Lydia encounters more bars and is still being followed by nogitsu-Stiles. He contemplates on what everyone is doing right now, and whether they're really trying to find her. She asks him what he wants and he simply says, "More." He tells her about how the trickster stories are always about food and how he is hungry for what she feels. He is insatiable.

Meredith is plucking piano strings and tells the voices that she can hear them but can't understand. She pleads with them to be a little louder and an orderly approaches her with a stun gun. She asks to have another second and Coach sneaks up and tells the orderly that the school has a very strict no-bullying policy. He allows the gang to take Meredith and stuns the bully-orderly yet again. Once the gang has Meredith in the back seat of their truck, they ask where Lydia is but Meredith doesn't know who Lydia is.

The gang gets home and finds Scott's father there with Isaac. He insists on speaking with Scott alone and Meredith goes upstairs with Stiles and Isaac. She realises that Lydia is the red-headed girl and she says that she can only find her if she tells her. She already asked and her response was that she didn't want to be found. Meanwhile, Scott's father tells him that a dent on the floor is from Scott's head. Papa and Mama McCall were fighting and when Scott's father grabbed Scott by the wrist, he pulled back and fell down the stairs. It was the last time he ever had a drink and it was also when he left.

The twins are in a coyote den with Derek and they're terribly banged up. They don't know who came after them and the twins said it was only a matter of time before someone they pissed off came after them.

Scott chides his father, saying that he has had plenty of accidents throughout the house and doesn't need an apology from him. He coldly tells him that he'll see him at graduation or whenever he decides to show up again.

Stiles and Isaac realise that Meredith might be a banshee too so Stiles begins coaching her on how to hear. She asks if anyone is going to get that, claiming a phone is ringing. He feigns a conversation on the phone and hands it to Meredith. She says a phrase in French and Scott is able to use it to figure out where Lydia is. Scott calls Allison to tell her.

Kira's father begins talking her through the board game. He can tell by looking at the board that she is playing black and that the white pieces are set up in the style of her mother - aggressive. Kira's mother is marching with the oni into Oak Creek.

Derek shows Peter the shells of the ammo shot at the twins and when he examines them, he says, "That's not possible." Allison calls to say that she's going to get Lydia and he pleads with her to wait. She won't listen. Stiles' condition is worsening and he is the only one unconcerned about it. He says he remembers everything that he did while possessed and makes them promise that no one else will get hurt. Lydia tells Nogitsu-Stiles is nervous and that he knows that they're going to kill him. He says that that is why he's keeping her so close.

Scott gives Kira, Allison, Isaac, and Stiles a pep talk, saying that they were able to save Malia and so now they are fighting to save one of their own. They head inside and find Kira's mother and the oni. Kira tells her mother that she realises that she was actually playing her. They want her to call off the oni but she is intent on saving Stiles.

The oni surround Stiles and Lydia it's then that he snaps the last tail. Now nogitsu-Stiles controls the oni. Not good! He watches as the oni fight the gang and Kira's mother has to sit back and watch on the sidelines. Lydia is still down in the locked room. Scott and Stiles get to her and she is frantic, saying that they weren't supposed to be there, she apparently sent a message to Scott that he didn't get, and she demands to know who else is there. They begin heading towards the surface but when Stiles is too weak to continue, Lydia stays to look after him while Scott charges on.

Up top, the oni land several cuts to Isaac. Allison watches and prepares to shoot with her silver arrowhead. When she lands one shot, the oni that she hits is destroyed. But then another oni comes from the side and fatally stabs Allison. Down low, Lydia screams. Scott gets to the surface and nogitsu-Stiles heads off with the oni. Scott cradles Allison in his arms and he tells her that Lydia is safe. He tries to take away her pain and she tells him it's because it doesn't hurt. She says it's okay and that it's perfect since she's in the arms of her first love. She tells him she loves him and then she dies. Chris shows up to find his daughter dead.

Teen Wolf airs on Mondays on MTV at 10PM.

Teen Wolf S3E22 - "De-Void" Recap

Sheriff Stilinski, Allison, Derek, and Chris confront nogitsu-Stiles at Derek's loft while Scott and Kira are on their way over. The sheriff handcuffs him but he breaks out of them. Allison tries to tase him but he catches the wires and the electricity does nothing to him. Derek tries to attack him but nogitsu-Stiles tosses him around like a rag doll. Chris points his gun at him, the sheriff tells him not to do anything, nogitsu-Stiles shouts at him to shoot him, but Allison intervenes, realising that this strife is what the nogitsune wants. It's then that the oni show up and nogitsu-Stiles reveals that the reason he summoned them was so that they would protect him against them. The sheriff fires his gun at them and when Chris tries to do the same, he finds that his gun won't shoot.

Scott and Kira arrive right after the oni and nogitsu-Stiles disappear. Mrs. Yukimura goes to the basement of Eichen House and looks at Rhys' body. Nogitsu-Stiles arrives and when she tries to stab him, he takes the knife and stabs himself in the gut. He says, "Chaos is come again," and a swarm of flies comes flying out of the wound and when they disperse, he is gone again. One of the flies goes to the hospital, into Isaac's room, landing on his arm, crawling into him through the spot where his IV is, and Isaac finally wakes up.

Scott brings Kira back to his place and she lays down on the bed, preparing to go to sleep. She asks Scott to come lie down with her and he does. They have their first kiss and as they drift off to sleep, one of the evil flies tries to get in through the window, but they don't notice it.

Allison tells her father that she removed the firing pin from his gun to prevent him from killing Stiles. He then tells her that this is the reason womyn are the leaders in their family. When Allison gets to her room, she finds Isaac waiting in there. It's strange that she's not intuitive enough to see that something is off about him.

Derek tries to figure out what the nogitsune was trying to communicate with the chessboard and Peter notes that his wound isn't healing. Derek tells him that the wound will heal, just more slowly as it is from the sword of an oni. Peter tells Derek that chess is Stiles' game, whereas a nogitsune has lived too long to play by any rules. After Peter leaves, a fly enters Derek's wound.

Ethan and Danny hang out in the locker room after some lacrosse. A fly enters Ethan as Danny asks him whether his leaving school was about his brother. Ethan says that it is and always is about his brother. Danny asks him if he is all right, since his tone changed after the fly entered him, and Ethan replies that he's fine and will take a shower now. He tells Danny to join him.

Lydia's driving with Aidan sitting shot-gun. Her magical abilities send her on a different path that leads her to a parking lot where they find a wounded Stiles. While there, an evil fly crawls into Aidan's ear.

Allison wakes up to find Isaac looking through her stash of weapons. He wants to kill the twins but Allison says they all agreed to give them a second chance. He leaves with some of her weapons and when she tries to get up, she finds that he has chained her to the bed.

Stiles is brought to Scott's house, where Deaton gives him some kanima venom. His wound does not need to be attended to, as he is already healing. Nogitsu-Stiles delivers a cryptic warning regarding Ethan, leading Aidan to go off in search of him. Meanwhile, Sheriff Stilinski is at his hearing, which will determine whether or not he'll keep his job. Near the end of it, Agent McCall speaks up on his behalf, leading him to be able to keep his job. He later tells him that the reason he pursued the case against him was so that he could stay in Beacon Hills to be near Scott. The sheriff tells him he should tell Scott everything (What?)

Derek shows up at the Argents and becomes angry with Chris, regarding the death of his family. He ties him up and threatens to set him on fire, but wants to wait till Allison returns home so she can watch him burn.

When Melissa is alone with Nogitsu-Stiles, he reveals to her that Stiles knows the truth about why Scott's father left, that Stiles saw something, and that she had called the Sheriff right after "it" happened? (What?) Meanwhile, the rest of the group is running out of options so Lydia suggest that they call Peter. He advises them against turning him into a werewolf, saying that it is more of a battle of the mind than of the body. He suggests that Scott use the werewolf-claws-in-the-back-of-the-neck method of getting into Stiles' head and for Lydia to go with him. In secret, she had made a deal with Peter to do this in exchange for the name of his daughter.

At school, the twins get into a fight with each other before Isaac shows up and brutalises both of them. He prepares to kill them by lighting them up but Kira arrives, katana in hand, along with Allison. They barricade the boys in the locker room, where they wolf out on each other.

Scott and Lydia go into Stiles' head where they wake strapped to beds in Eichen house. She tells him to use his supernatural strength to break free, which he does, and after they are both free, they find themselves separated. Lydia flashes back to the night she was bitten by Peter and Scott finds himself making out with Allison in a closet. On the outside, they see that Lydia is getting a nosebleed. Peter begins clutching her, telling her she's stronger than this, and screams her name in her face. It penetrates the mind vision and Lydia is able to run off while Scott realises it is a trick. The pair both find themselves reunited in a big white room, where Stiles and the Nogitsune are playing a board game on the big magic tree stump. Lydia advises Scott to signal to the rest of his pack, which includes Stiles, by howling. This causes dream-Stiles to see them, and all werewolves infected by flies, to fall over (asleep?) just after the girls at the school were busy unleashing some girl-power-whoop-ass on the possessed werewolves and Chris had broken out and was prepared to shoot Derek if he needed to.

The duo wake up and Lydia fulfils her end of the bargain by whispering Malia's name to Peter. Just then, Stiles wakes up and begins throwing up a seemingly endless bandage from his mouth. Once he has finished throwing it all up, the bandages come together to form a bandaged man. The gorup descends on the bandaged man but Scott suddenly has a realisation; he begins undoing the bandages and it turns out the bandaged man is a now unpossessed Stiles. Teen Wolf S3E20 - "Echo House" Recap

Stiles is taken to Eichen House, the mental institution. Scott arrives and objects to the plan but Stiles makes him promise to never let him out if they can't find a cure. Sheriff Stilinski nearly pulls out of the plan when he realises he forgot Stiles' pillow, but Stiles tries to reassure him that it will be okay. Shortly after his arrival, Stiles witnesses one of the patients commit suicide and sees the nogitsune around the same time. He wants to use the phone, having changed his mind about being there but the orderlies refuse his request.

Deaton and Argent were responsible for the plan to get the letharia vulpina. Deaton says that after a few days, the effects will wear off and the nogitsune will be back to its full lethal power. They are searching for a scroll that will tell how to exorcise the nogitsune and Allison realises that she might know where it is.

Stiles has a roommate, Oliver, who appears to be somewhat affable. When Stiles first enters him room, Oliver is strapped to the bed. Oliver explains that he heard the suicide because of the way the place was built. Given its propensity to echo, the place is nicknamed "Echo House." Also, Stiles fails to sleep his first night without his pillow. The next morning, Oliver shows Stiles where the phone is and when they get to it, another patient named Meredith is speaking into it. She sounds panicked and says, "One of them is standing right behind me." Is she just crazy or does she know what lies within Stiles? The phone is dead though, having been turned off for the 24 hours following the suicide - standard procedure. Stiles encounters Malia, who strikes Stiles in the face. She is restrained and when the orderlies also restrain Stiles, he has a flash where he sees himself in the basement. He then comes face-to-face with Mr. Morrell, the Beacon Hills High guidance counselor.

Derek and Chris are currently locked up and they discuss Stiles and plans on how to stop the nogitsune. Chris speaks about Berzerkers, people who conduct rituals with animals skins and work themselves up into a crazed frenzy. In the end, they must be killed because they have lost touch with who they are.  Chris says he would feel remorse killing Stiles but not for killing the nogitsune, if it came down to it. Given the fact that "Berzerker" was a practice by Vikings, you can't help but note what sort of history/mythology buffs these Teen Wolf writers must be.

Stiles keeps hallucinating the nogitsune during the group therapy being run by Ms. Morrell. She ends the session when she sees marks appearing on Stiles' neck. She pulls him aside and explains that they are what's known as the Lichtenberg Figure and they are the result of the injection he was given. She tells him when the marks are gone, the nogitsune will have returned. She gives him pills to keep him awake, stating that he's most vulnerable when asleep. She tells him that he needs to stay awake to give his friends time to come up with a cure. She also states that if they fail, she will give him a lethal injection to stop the nogitsune. He teams up with Malia in order to break into the basement. She wants to return to being a coyote because she believes things are simpler that way. He tells her that they need to get the keys from an orderly to get into the basement and then presumably either Derek or Scott will be able to teach her.

Scott, Allison, Lydia, and the twins plot to steal an armoured car to retrieve evidence from Katashi's body. Allison believes he had the scroll in his possession when he died.

Malia and Oliver fake an altercation so Malia can swipe the keys. When Stiles attempts to use them, the head orderly catches him and tells him no one has the keys to the basement. Stiles is taken to the "quiet room" and given a sedative. Much to his horror, he begins to go to sleep.

Kira shows up at Scott's place and says she wants to help. He tells her those who help them normally end up hurt. Nonetheless, she reveals that she has been practicing how to use a katana and has been picking things up very quickly, inexplicably so. Impressed by her abilities, Scott agrees to let her come along.

Stiles dreams he is trapped in a locker from which he cannot escape and is taunted by the nogitsune. Malia breaks into the quiet room and wakes Stiles. She tells him he can go through the closed unit to get into the basement, but this unit has the "real psychos."

When the gang tries to get their hands on the scroll, they find Kinkade, Katashi's former body guard who is also there to get the scroll. They offer him a bribe of 150,000 dollars but he refuses to hand over the silver finger, in which the scroll is hidden. They have no choice but to fight him. This task proves difficult, as Kinkade is massive and ferociously strong. The twins are prepared to kill him, believing him to be too dangerous, but Scott and Lydia stop him. Scott says that they're there to save a life, not end one.

Chris is called in to meet with his lawyer, but upon entering the room, finds it is the leader of the hunters from South America. She is upset he has changed his code and also wants to discuss Allison.

Stiles and Malia make their way into the basement and find the "self" symbol carved into the wall. They look through some papers but nothing there is of use. Stiles has Malia check his back and she tells him the marks are almost gone, much to his horror. One things leads to another and they have sex. Seriously. Strangest timing ever. Teenagers. Post-sex, Malia realises that the wall behind the symbol is hollow. Stiles proceeds to smash through it and they find the nogitsune's body, complete with the face bandages. Malia pulls a paper from the nogitsune's pocket, which he says he needs to give to Scott. Just then, Oliver attacks them with a stun gun. He then injects Malia and it is revealed that the nogitsune has possessed him, too. Oliver then restrains Stiles but begins to cough up blood. The Nogitsune tells Oliver to start with Malia. Stiles pleads with it to let her go and the nogitsune says that he'll let her go if Stiles lets the nogitsune back in. Stiles relents and surrenders himself to the nogitsune. Nogitus-Stiles is back, everyone!

Deaton reads the scroll and says that the only way to save a person possessed by the nogitsune is to change their body. Scott realises that this means Stiles must be turned into a werewolf. Does this mean Stiles will no longer be the resident human of the bunch?

Malia leaves Eichen House to find Scott, and presumably Stiles as well. Morrell tells her where to find Scott and as she leaves, we see her eyes turn blue. Did she lie about not knowing how to turn back into a coyote?

This episode has brought forth so many questions, twists, and the return of Nogitsu-Stiles. Only four more episodes left in Teen Wolf 3B! Stay tuned!

Teen Wolf airs on Mondays on MTV at 10PM.

Teen Wolf S3E18 - "Riddled" Recap

Scott receives a call from a panicked Stiles who says he is injured, cold, and unable to move. He begs Scott to come find him but not tell his father. Scott hollers at Isaac to come in and help him.

Lydia and Aiden are in the school and Aiden is getting cheeky, wanting to model nude for her while she's drawing him. Before things can get saucy, Lydia hears Stiles' voice calling for help out of the radio. Weird.

Kira is in bed studying and goes to turn on her lamp, but the bulb is out. She attempts to remove it, it begins to glow, and then it explodes. Her mother comes in and changes the bulb and it briefly lights up when she touches it before she has screwed it in all the way.

Scott, Isaac, Lydia, and Aiden are all in Stiles' room and find a pair of scissors stabbed into his bed, with all the red yarn from his board of unsolved cases tied to the scissors. Lydia chides Scott for not having called Sheriff Stilinski so while she and Aiden agree to stay and look for clues, Scott and Isaac head out to fill the Sheriff in.

Stiles is shows in be lying on the ground in a basement and his foot is caught in a bear trap. Stiles spots a man covered in bandages drawing the "self" symbol on the wall with chalk. The man disappears and when Stiles says the word, "self," the symbol smokes and disappears.

Scott and Isaac follow the sheriff who locates Stiles' jeep at the hospital but it's dead and abandoned. Derek has joined the search party and he and Scott go up to the roof of the hospital where Stiles' scent is particularly strong. Derek coaches Scott on how to read the scents and they can smell that Stiles was on the roof stressed from struggling with himself.

Lydia discovers that she can hear voices whispering when she touches the red strings in Stiles' room. Through this newfound ability, she learns that Stiles is in the basement of a mental asylum that William Barrow, the Shrapnel Bomber, was committed to.

The bandaged man begins speaking in Japanese but quickly switches to English and tells Stiles he's trying to save his life. The gang and the Sheriff show up at the asylum and head inside to search for Stiles. They don't find him and Lydia is distraught that she wasn't right about where Stile was. The viewers see that the "self" symbol has been scratched into the wall.

Melissa visits Agent McCall and together, they go in search of Stiles together. McCall has a theory that Stiles is still sleepwalking and called Scott while asleep. It turns out they're right and they find Stiles in a coyote den and he won't stop screaming and crying when they first wake him up. All the awards to Dylan O'Brien who has stepped up his performance level tenfold in this arc.

Allison finds that her phone is off though she never turned it off. She receives a message in Japanese that she doesn't understand. Aiden tells Derek that he thinks Stiles might be the nogitsune. Derek finds the idea ridiculous at first but then he begins to think that the idea's not so crazy after all. At the hostpial, Sheriff Stilinski thanks Agent McCall for finding his son and as Scott and Lydia are leaving, Lydia hears some banging but denies hearing anything, now feeling insecure about her powers.

At school, Kira calls out to Scott but he is walking around dazed, and Derek tells her to not worry about it. He tells her to tell him what happened at the power station, then says that he wants her to show him. They find Stiles' bat magnetised and it sticks to a power generator. Derek tells Kira to tell him everything about foxfire.

Sheriff Stilinski tells Scott's mother that he wants to run some test on Stiles and it's evident he's worried that he's suffering from the same ailments as his mother did. Allison brings the message to Mr. Yikamura to translate. He tells him that it's a message about Japanese internment camps set up in America during WWII but the message is fake. It's talking about a camp called "Oak Creek," but there was no camp called "Oak Creek."

Lydia is having difficulty with the sounds at school, as everything is amplified. She heads home, saying she isn't feeling well. At the hospital, Stiles is about to have some tests run on him and he confides in Scott that they're searching for signs of temporal dementia, which is what killed Stile's mother. Scott assures Stiles that he'll do what he can to save him if they find anything. They hug before Stiles has the tests run. Derek and Kira arrive at the hospital and Derek heads inside to tell Scott that Barrow used Kira's foxfire to jumpstart the nogitsune powers inside of Stiles.

Lydia sits in her cars blasting music to try to drown out the banging sound. When Derek speaks with Scott, he says that when he spoke to his mother, she told him that the Hales didn't only live in Beacon Hills but they protected it as well. This leads Scott to realise that Stiles was struggling to protect them. They return to the rooftop and discover a bag of tools that lead them to believe Stiles was going to do something similar to what Barrow had tried to do. Lydia is still in her car and and screams. Viewers are able to figure out that the banging sound she has been hearing is the sound of the MRI machine that is running tests on Stiles. Is this hearing another branch of her powers or could this be a symptom of a strengthening bond between her and Stiles? (Aiden had commented earlier that Stiles really "likes" Lydia, after he found one of her drawings in his room).

Stiles' brain is showing signs of atrophy. Sheriff Stilinski is devastated. Stiles becomes agitated inside the MRI machine and finds himself transported back into a dream state. The bandaged man tells him that they're going to destroy everyone. He then gives Stiles a riddle to solve: "Everyone has it, but no one can lose it. What is it?" Stiles tells him if he figures out the riddle, then perhaps he won't kill everyone he loves. Stiles solves it: a shadow. It is then that we see who is inside the bandaged man once the bandages are removed: it's Stiles.

A power surge happens in the hospital that even Derek and Scott witness on the roof. During the chaos, Stiles slips away and he appears to have been taken over by the nogitsune. Mrs. Yukimura shows up, looking like a badass action hero ready to kick butt while wearing leather. She confronts NogitsuStiles and says that she will kill an innocent boy if it's the only way to stop him. She summons the oni, but NogitsuStiles is not afraid of them - understandable after seeing how he disposed of them in the last episode. She tells him that if the oni can't stop him, she knows someone who will but neither NogitsuStiles nor we the viewers know to whom she is referring.

In the final moments of this episode, we see an electrical cord shooting sparks that comes flying down from the roof, headed straight for Kira.

Teen Wolf airs on Mondays on MTV at 10/9c.

Teen Wolf S3E17 - "Silverfinger" Recap

The episode begins with a flashback of a young Chris. He's telling the group about the first time he met the masked warriors. He was 18 and in Japan and they were after someone else - someone supernatural. They cut down every living thing in their way. Chris suggests they find a man named Katashi, also known as Silvefinger, who survived the attack and may have information that can help them. Chris shot one in the face and it slowed the creature down long enough for he and Katashi to escape. Chris says that beneath the mask is absolute darkness.

In the morning, Kira sneaks back in to her room and happily flashes back to Scott dropping her off. She asks if his other friends are werewolves and he says that they are. Scott appears worried that he's lost her and then she asks to see his werewolf face. When he does, for some reason out in public where anyone could see him, she traces his face with her fingers and appears entranced - much to Scott's amazement.

The twins follow Scott to school on motorbikes of their own. They tell him that he needs protection from the "demonic ninjas." Scott tells them he doesn't need protection but they refuse to stop. Scott manages to ditch them long enough to go talk to Stiles. He tries to show him the message but it has been erased. He then tries to show him the key but this is gone from his key ring, too. Though the tangible evidence is gone, Stiles also tells him that something Barrow did resembled the prank Stiles played on Coach.

Scott speaks with the twins and becomes worried that perhaps the "demon ninjas" aren't after him, but after Kira instead.

Chris has a plan to find Katashi. As he is a collector, Chris decides to sell him an antique gun. Chris plans to use Isaac as a distraction while he and Allison will sneak in.

Agent McCall discovers an image of Scott and Kira on his laptop as a result of security on his device.

Stiles checks himself into the hospital and lists his symptoms to Melissa. Since he hasn't been sleeping, Melissa gives him a sedative. As he is about to fall asleep, he mutters, "Thanks, mom." It's rather heartbreaking. Later, Melissa looks over his symptoms again and find that that they match ones that his mother had, including hallucinations, irritability, panic attacks, and insomnia.

Scott tampers with the twin's bikes so he can be alone with Kira.

Isaac is self-conscious and worried about his ability to convince the Yakuza of their cover story and Allison asks Chris to give her some time alone with Isaac. She plants a kiss on him, has him grope her behind, and he walks in with all the confidence he could have hoped for.

Scott brings Kira back to his house to keep her safe. They exchange "I don't want you getting hurt" speeches before Kira tells him that she thinks she might be a kitsune. A kitsune exhibits a power known as "fox fire," and are able to control electricity. The tensions builds between the two and they nearly kiss before they hear a car pull up, thinking it's Melissa. They come downstairs and find Agent McCall there and he confronts the two of them about being in his office. Melissa comes home, the sun goes down, and the masked men attack. They injure Agent McCall, and Derek and the twins show up to help fight them. Eventually, Melissa triggers a magical security system and they are safe from the masked men for now.

Katashi watches as the deal sours and pulls out his gun when Chris comes in, also with a gun. Allison disarms him and their werewolf security guard, who is massive, bring Isaac in with his claws at Isaac's throat. Chris reminds Katashi who he is and shows him the mask. Katashi tells him that the demons are unstoppable. They are known as oni, and are seeking someone possessed by a dark spirit. He also tells them there are 13 kinds of kitsune, and one is a dark kitsune, known as a nogitsune. The oni have been marking the ones that are not possessed. The man the oni were after 24 years prior was possessed by the nogitsune. Katashi says that he owes Chris not just his life, but his honour. He tells him that when he encounters the nogitsune, they must destory it no matter what - even if it is his own duaghter.

Derek tells Scott he has been following him all day. Melissa calls for Scott's help since Agent McCall will not make it through the night unless they get it to a hospital. Aiden questions Kira on what she is and Derek comes in and says that she is a kitsune. She's young, inexperienced, and probably doesn't even know what kind she is. The oni begin banging against the magical shield, testing for weaknesses and eventually find one. Agent McCall tells Melissa he wants to speak to Scott and things aren't looking good for him. Melissa tells him he won't be having this talk on his deathbed and insists that he stay alive and talk another day. Allison calls Scott and relays the information on the kitsune and nogitsune. She tells him to let them in and perform the test, saying that they won't harm him once they see that he's not the one. Kira is worried that she has darkness in her and when the oni make their way inside, he tells the other wolves not to do anything, confident that Kira does not have darkness in her. They test both Scott and Kira and leave them marked - neither of them is possessed by the nogitsune. The oni leave and the wolves immediately check Scott and Kira to make sure they're alright.

Back at the hospital, the oni show up and corner Stiles. As one reaches out to test Stiles, he grabs its hand before reaching out and pulling a bug from inside the oni's chest, killing it. Stiles kills the others and it looks like Stiles is now a supernatural being! Scott shows up right after Stiles has finished killing off the oni and when he asks Stiles if he's okay, Stiles returns to his normal self or perhaps he only pretends to.

Teen Wolf airs on Mondays on MTV at 10/9c.

Teen Wolf S3E16 - "Illuminated" Recap

It's Halloween. A masked group walks down the street. Allison and her father finally make it in to her room, where Isaac is on the floor and ice cold.  Chris hits him repeatedly to get him to turn so he can heal. When Isaac informs them that there were five attackers that seemed to come from the shadows with glowing eyes, Chris declares that their not killing Isaac may be because they are after him instead. Alone, he pulls out a box and we see that he has a mask just like the mysterious attackers each had.

Agent McCall questions Scott, Kira, Stiles, and Lydia regarding the black-out, kidnapping, and death of Barrow. They're less than cooperative and Kira follows their lead. In private, Agent McCall warns Scott that Barrow appears to have been a pawn and that there appears to be a far greater unknown threat. Alone, Kira photographs herself and finds that her photographed self appears to be surrounded by a golden light. Scott wants to talk to Kira, but she appears skittish and Stiles advises him to keep his distance for now. Also, Stiles finds some keys on his person that he does not recognise.

In the locker room, Ethan overhears Danny upset over having to cancel his black-light party due to the black-out. Ethan offers to help him but Danny declines due to his thinking that there's nothing that can be done. Aiden teases him for wanting to help Danny, poking fun at the notion of getting involved in school activities. Ethan reminds him that Scott doesn't care about power; he cares about people. The way to win Scott over is to be a normal human in high school.

Lydia's mum is acting as a substitute teacher since the previous biology teacher became a human sacrifice. She talks with Aiden and realises that she enjoyed saving a person's life. Now when she looks at Aiden, all she sees is Boyd and the other victims caused by his actions. To her, Aiden is not merely a "bad boy," but a "bad guy." This spurs him to turn around and tell Danny that he thinks he knows of a place he can hold the party. Cut to a shot of Derek leaving his loft.

Scott finally approaches Kira and she reveals her little light trick when getting photographed with a flash. Apparently the light trick began a few months prior and only happens with the flash on. The reason she wanted to get her phone back at the station was that Barrow had snapped photos of her while she was held captive. Currently, Agent McCall still has her phone in his office as evidence. Scott insists that they must get it back.

Derek is approached by some trick-or-treating kids and gives them some candy. But he is unable to resist having his eyes glow blue, his wolf teeth out and growling at the kids, who run off terrified. He is clearly amused by his little prank but is then attacked by the masked group. Back at Derek's loft, the twins help a delighted Danny set up for his black-light party. They claim that the owner of the loft is out of town.

Stiles gives keys to Scott and Kira so they can get into the police station. Scott informs Kira that he told Stiles that the reason they must retrieve the phone is because of naked photos of her. She is impressed by how convincing the lie is and grateful that he didn't tell Stiles about her light trick. The phone is out of battery when they find it and they realise they must charge it to so they can delete the photos because stealing it would only raise more questions. When they plug it in to Agent McCall's laptop, they find a photo of Scott as a child on it and Scott appears caught off guard.

Agent McCall shows up and Stiles stalls him by telling him he knows why McCall hates Sheriff Stilinski so much. He speculates that the Sheriff knows something that McCall doesn't want him to know and says that he knows it, too. It's a bluff on Stiles' part but it appears to be a good one. Kira deletes the photos and she and Scott make it out in time. Kira appears to have had fun breaking in and sneaking around and cheerfully asks the boys if they've ever done anything like that before. They admit to having done so "once or twice." Kira gets on Scott's bike, preparing to take her home, before he asks her out to Danny's party.

Allison and Isaac show up to the party, which is bumping and Isaac states that Derek must never know about this. Ethan brings Danny over to get painted and adorably tears his shirt off so he can have his body done. The painter does a tremendous job while Ethan heads off to get more ice. The mysterious masked group appear and disappear in the party background. Scott, Kira, and Stiles arrive and Stiles begins to tell Scott about the keys but decides to hold off till later when Caitlin comes over and kisses him on the cheek. Stiles runs off to dance with her and Scott takes Kira's hand for a moment and they enjoy a cute moment where she thanks him and they're adorably smitten with another. But the moment is short-lived. When Scott spots Allison, they look longingly at one another, and Scott releases Kira's hand. He uses his Alpha eyes-going-red powers to scan the crowd and find Kira and upon finding her, he can see the light-trick around her. It's difficult to be sure, but it almost looks like she's an animal of sorts. What does this mean?!

Aiden approaches Lydia and says that he deserves what she said about him but she blows him off yet again. He is angered by his failed attempt to redeem her opinion of him. We're (mis)treated to more Allison/Isaac flirtation - clearly Isaac doesn't know a thing about the bro-code. Lydia seems uninterested in the party shenanigans and eventually begins to spot the masked group appearing and disappearing in the shadows. She tries to find Scott and runs off to the balcony. One of the masked group comes out of the ground, she attempts to deliver one of the fabulous Banshee screams, but the figure puts out his hand and somehow, she is silenced.

Danny approaches Aiden and they realise that Ethan is missing. Caitlin notices Stiles' key has phosphorous on it before kissing him. He is confused, since he was under the impression that she was a lesbian but apparently, she is bi (or maybe pan)sexual. He questions her about what phosphorous is and when she explains, he is confused about how it would have gotten on a key in his possession. She asks him if he has been handling chemicals recently and he has a realisation. He apologises, runs off, runs back to give her a bottle of water which he insists that she drink in its entirety, and re-runs off.

Outside, or perhaps on the roof, Scott and Kira enjoy a quiet moment together. She asks him how he's okay with all of this. She feels as though the lights make her look like a demon but he thinks that the light protects her and when surrounded her, it looks like a fox.

Allison and Isaac are getting handsy on the dance floor, and when they are about to kiss, Allison feels something on his neck. They go to where a mirror is to get a better look at it, and it appears to be the number five behind his ear. Isaac thinks he hears something and they find Ethan's body lying on the ground near the ice. Isaac breaks Ethan's arm to trigger the healing. Danny finds Lydia on the balcony, also lying down and ice cold and calls Aiden for help. Aiden carries her inside and Danny goes off in search of a blanket. She is shivering and states that "they came out of the dark." Derek wakes up from his attack, and he, Lydia, and Ethan all have the same mark behind their ear. Derek lets out a roar, which Scott hears from the roof, and recognises as coming from Derek.

Derek returns to his loft and breaks up the party, screaming at everyone to "GET OUT" (this werewolf has a serious set of pipes on him). The party-goers scurry but the masked group are still there, and honed in on Aiden. A fight ensue between the wolves and the masked group but they apparently can't be killed - Derek learns this after snapping one of their necks. There's nothing anyone can do - Aiden is marked like the others. The masked group disappears as the sun rises, but not before Kira sees Scott's wolf face. Isaac insists to Allison that her father must provide answers regarding this masked group. She tries to call him but he is unable to do so as he has just returned home - bloody and injured.

Stiles arrives back at the school and finds that his mysterious new key unlocks the chemistry closet that Barrow was hiding in. He goes over to the message left for Barrow that led him to Kira, which is still on the blackboard, re-writes it and finds that the handwriting matches his. Oh Stiles... what have you done?
