NEW YORK, NY - June 1, 2017 - Pack your passport and grab a chainsaw, because SHARKNADO is going global! Taking the world - and unsuspecting celebrities - by storm, the movie event of the century blows into town this summer, and today, SYFY and The Asylum revealed its chilling title: SHARKNADO 5: GLOBAL SWARMING. The latest installment in the hit pop culture franchise premieres on SYFYSunday, August 6 at 8/7c and will air in more than 100 countries. 
SHARKNADO 5: GLOBAL SWARMING and the film's official tagline, "Make America Bait Again!," are the result of a fan-sourced social initiative launched this April. Calling on fans for inspiration, SYFY invited Facebook users to submit their most creative and outrageous ideas via an interactive bot. 
In SHARKNADO 5: GLOBAL SWARMING, the mission gets personal for Fin Shepard (Ian Ziering) and his bionic wife, April (Tara Reid) when their young son gets trapped in a traveling 'nado and transported all over the world. From London to Rio, Tokyo, Rome, Amsterdam and beyond, our globetrotting heroes will seek assistance from a highly-skilled squad of royals, scholars and Olympians, enlisting famous faces from news, entertainment, and sports in their most epic battle yet.

Look Who’s In SHARKNADO 3: OH HELL NO!!!

FRANKIE MUNIZ, PENN & TELLER, NE-YO, LOU FERRIGNO, JACKIE COLLINS, GRANT IMAHARA, BRAD KESELOWSKI AND JOEY LOGANO WILL HAVE CAMEOS IN THE (SHARK) STORM OF THE CENTURY PREMIERING ACROSS THE WORLD WEDNESDAY, JULY 22.
NEW YORK – June 12, 2015 – Actor Frankie Muniz, entertainers Penn & Teller, multi-Grammy winner Ne-Yo, NASCAR drivers Brad Keselowski and Joey Logano, author Jackie Collins, actor Lou Ferrigno and former MythBusters host Grant Imahara will join the star-studded cast of Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! when the global pop culture sensation premieres on Syfy on Wednesday, July 22 at 9PM (ET/PT). The third installment in the Sharknado franchise will also premiere on Syfy in 87 countries within 24 hours of the US premiere.

Ian Ziering (Fin), Tara Reid (April) and Cassie Scerbo (Nova) star in Sharknado 3, which will cause mass destruction in Washington, DC, then roar down the Eastern Seaboard before the final confrontation in Orlando, Florida.

Joining them will be David Hasselhoff (Fin’s father, Gil); Bo Derek (April’s mother, May) and Nickelodeon stars Ryan Newman (April and Fin’s daughter, Claudia Shepard) and Jack Griffo(Claudia’s friend, Billy).

Among the newly-announced cameos, Frankie Muniz plays Nova’s friend, mechanic Lucas Stevens, while Penn Jillette and Teller, respectively, are retired NASA Lieutenant Colonel Stylo and Major Caissier. Playing Secret Service agents are Ne-Yo (Agent Deveroux), Lou Ferrigno (Agent Banner) and Grant Imahara (Agent Lodge), and Jackie CollinsBrad Keselowski and Joey Logano appear as themselves.

Mark Cuban To Become The President Of The United States With Ann Coulter Assuming Duties Of Vice President In Sharknado 3

BO DEREK, JERRY SPRINGER, CHRIS KIRKPATRICK AND CHRIS JERICHO WILL ALSO APPEAR IN NEW SYFY/THE ASYLUM PRODUCTION

NEW YORK, N.Y. – March 2, 2015 – A new Administration is taking office before January 2017! Syfy and The Asylum today announced that Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban (Shark Tank) will play the President of the United States with political commentator/author Ann Coulter joining him as Vice President in the eagerly anticipated original movie Sharknado 3.

Previously announced cameos in the latest installment of the global pop culture sensation will include Bo Derek as May, the mother of April (Tara Reid); Jerry Springer, appearing as Mr. White, a manic tourist; *NSYNC singer Chris Kirkpatrick as a pool lifeguard, and Chris Jericho, who will portray Bruce the roller coaster ride operator.

Also joining the cast of Sharknado 3 will be Ryan Newman, who will play April and Fin’s (Ian Ziering) daughter Claudia Sheperd, with Jack Griffo portraying Claudia’s friend, Billy.

Featuring stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid and Cassie Scerbo (Nova), Sharknado 3 will premiere on Syfy in July, causing mass destruction in Washington, D.C., before roaring down the Eastern Seaboard and into Florida.

Anthony C. Ferrante will once again direct, based on an original screenplay by Thunder Levin. Sharknado 3 is a production of The Asylum. When it aired last July 30, Sharknado 2: The Second One became Syfy’s most-watched original movie ever.

SHARKNADO 2 Gets The Greenlight From SYFY – And Will Take A Bite Out Of The BIG APPLE!

NEW YORK – July 17, 2013 – Which city will be attacked by flying sharks next? New York City! Following the spectacular worldwide social media frenzy around the July 11 premiere of Sharknado, Syfy today announced it will produce – Sharknado 2!

Sharknado 2 (working title), which will again be produced by The Asylum, is scheduled to premiere on Syfy in 2014.

Syfy also announced a special Twitter contest to help name the movie with an appropriate subtitle. Fans will be able to tweet their subtitle to @SyfyMovies using #Sharknado. Syfy will select the best submission as the subtitle for Sharknado 2. 

In making the announcement, Thomas Vitale, Executive Vice President, Programming and Original Movies, Syfy, said: “Every once in a while, there is a perfect storm – on television. The fans are clamoring for a sequel. Or perhaps it will be a prequel. What we can guarantee is that Sharknado 2 will be lots of fun. We’ll be announcing more details very soon. But we didn’t want our fans to worry they wouldn’t get their fill of more shark fin, I mean, fun next year.”

In Sharknado, regulars of a beachside bar including owner Fin (Ian Ziering/Beverly Hills 90210), bartender Nova (Cassie Scerbo/Make It Or Break It) and local drunk George (John Heard/Home Alone) team up with Fin’s ex-wife April (Tara Reid/Scrubs) to investigate the ecological nightmare that has sharks swimming through the streets of Los Angeles and falling from the skies.
