Creators Ben Acker and Ben Blacker are joined by members of the cast to celebrate the graphic novel at events in Los Angeles and San Francisco
September 10, 2013 (Los Angeles) - Archaia Entertainment, an imprint of BOOM! Studios, is excited to announce two upcoming events centered on its recent anthology graphic novel release, The Thrilling Adventure Hour. Fans will be given the opportunity to get their books signed by the writers and some of the performers from the show on which the graphic novel is based.
On Monday, Sept. 16, starting at 7 p.m., the Barnes and Noble location at The Grove at Farmers Market in Los Angeles, California will host The Thrilling Adventure Hour author/creators Ben Acker and Ben Blacker, along with performers Paul F. Tompkins, Joshua Malina, James Urbaniak, Marc Evan Jackson, Mark Gagliardi, and more to be announced for a fun-filled, interactive panel and signing of the graphic novel. The event is free but a purchase of the book is required for autographs. Although The Thrilling Adventure Hour is sold out at the distribution level, this event will feature First Printing copies, while supplies last!

On Saturday, Sept. 21, the Cartoon Art Museum in San Francisco, California will hold “The Thrilling Adventure Hour Graphic Novel Reception,” featuringBen Acker, Ben Blacker, Marc Evan Jackson, Mark Gagliardi, and more additional cast members as they confirm. General Admission tickets are priced at $75 each, and include entry into the event. VIP Admission is $150 and includes entry to the event plus a copy of a limited-edition The Thrilling Adventure Hour Graphic Novel Exhibition commemorative poster. Since June, the Cartoon Art Museum has been hosting an exhibit of some of the art featured in the graphic novel. This event starts at 7 p.m. to allow guests plenty of time to enjoy the museum, see the exhibit, and to meet the creators and members of the cast. Light food and drink will be provided. The Museum would like the event to be a celebration of the creativity of the creators, artists, and cast of The Thrilling Adventure Hour, as well as the success of the graphic novel.

The Thrilling Adventure Hour (TAH) (thrillingadventurehour.com) is a live-staged show in the style of old-time radio performed monthly at the famous Largo of the Coronet Theater in Los Angeles. Running since 2005, each show features three stories brought to life by a talented troupe of actors and comedians such as Paul F. The Thrilling Adventure Hour anthology graphic novel ($19.95, hardcover, 136 pages, full color, 7.25” x 11.25”) is a collection of original genre tales taken straight from the show. Written by TAH co-creators Ben Acker and Ben Acker, this book features new stories from the most fan-favored worlds of the TAH universe. Brought to life by top artists from the comics community, each stand-alone tale celebrates and reinvigorates a new genre from the radio comedies of yesteryear, including science fiction, fantasy, westerns, superheroes, horror, war dramas, and many more.

June 29, 2013 (San Francisco, CA) - The Cartoon Art Museum, The WorkJuice Corporation, Quixotic Transmedia, and Archaia Entertainment are pleased to present artwork from the much-anticipated The Thrilling Adventure Hour graphic novel at the Cartoon Art Museum from June 29 – October 20, 2013. Featuring artwork from all 10 stories, the Thrilling Adventure Hour graphic novel explores brand-new material from series creators Ben Acker & Ben Blacker. The characters from the critically acclaimed multi-genre stage show and podcast are brought to life in various styles in the graphic novel and on the walls of the Cartoon Art Museum.
The exhibit features digital reproductions from the TAH graphic novel anthology. The exhibit showcases work from artists Heidi Arnhold, Jordie Bellaire, Randy Bishop,Casey Crowe, Lar deSouza, Joanna Estep, Evan Larson, André May, Chris Moreno, Natalie Nourigat, Joel Priddy, Evan “Doc” Shaner, and Jeff Stokely. The exhibition will also feature exclusive artwork inspired by TAH from renowned artists Jackson Publick (The Venture Bros.), Ben Edlund (The Tick), Dustin Weaver(Avengers, Astonishing X-Men), and cover artwork by Tom Fowler (Mad Magazine, Mysterius The Unfathomable). The exhibit was facilitated by Joe LeFavi of Quixotic Transmedia, CAM’s Roy Zemlicka and Archaia, the publisher of the TAH graphic novel which, again, will be released in late August 2013.
